Outstanding. Would highly recommend.
Bhumika (03 September 2018)

Excellent location, very quiet and peaceful. Lodge was of a high standard and very clean, would recommend.
Kevin from Lincoln (27 August 2018)

Lovely well-equipped lodge, quiet location, beautiful scenery. Walking distance from fort augustus. Loved our stay with two teenage daughters.
Miia from Fort Augustus (20 August 2018)

The accommodation was lovely and very clean. My only issue was as it is a self catering I would expect to be able to cook meals, there was only 2 small pans, no frying pan or oven dishes. On returning from our trip we spoke to a couple who had been there earlier in the year and they didn’t have this problem so it could be our accommodation just wasn’t properly stocked which was unfortunate for us!
Elaine from Peterhead (17 August 2018)

We had to cut it short because we had to go back home
Martin from Birmingham (17 August 2018)

Excellent accommodation, brilliant location. The hot tub was private with good views. Highly recommend
Owen from Huddersfield (17 August 2018)

Too expensive .not worth it
Anjil (03 August 2018)

Excellent
Brijeshwar from London (30 July 2018)

We have been on holyday with our 9 year old daugther. There is not much to do for her at this park. The communication of the staf could use some improvement.
Dennis (27 July 2018)

A fantastic lodge in beautiful surroundings we will definitely be back.
Lesley from East Calder (13 July 2018)

We had a fabulous stay here. Was everything we were hoping for, peaceful surroundings, clean, well looked after grounds and some nice touches in the lodge itself. The hot tub was a lovely bonus!! fort augustus just a short walk away. Lovely for walking, biking, and just soaking up the canal atmosphere!! we loved it!
Leigh from Dundee (13 July 2018)

Excellent location. The great glen lodge is superb with hot tub . immaculate condition and very spacious. Within driving distance of various popular locations.
Allan from Kirkcaldy (13 July 2018)

Fantastic lodge set up and lovely views. We stayed in the caledonia lodge and were impressed. The hot tub is an added bonus, think we spent most evenings relaxing in it. The only thing missing is a small play area for kids, my little girl (6) would have loved this but it didn't stop us having a relaxing break.
Louise (13 July 2018)

Excellent place to stay will deff be back again
David (13 July 2018)

Can’t complain about site very clean and peaceful but not supplied with enough bath or kitchen towels for a weeks stay considering there is a hot tub. We were given 1 bath sheet, 1 hand towel per person and 1 tea towel and kitchen towel for the week. When asked for fresh towels we were told to use the laundry on site to launder sites own supplies. There were also not enough kitchen utensils for self catering - no oven gloves, serving dishes, mixing bowls or fruit bowls
Karen from Edinburgh (13 July 2018)

A wonderful location, a short walk along the canal to fort augustus. Lodge, amazing and hot tub too. We had a weeproblem with our fridge not coping in the hot weather but i’m sure they will replace it as we pointed it out to them. Other than that it was perfect!
Fiona from Motherwell (06 July 2018)

Even though it is right next to the busy a82 it was very quiet. The scenery all around was good and plenty of wildlife. Everything about this lodge was
Sylvia from Preston (29 June 2018)

Lodge was lacking in everyday essentials. No condiments cling film tin foil etc. Otherwise was very clean and well presented. Site very quiet and peaceful.
Linda from Larbert (29 June 2018)

The location is stunning just outside of fort augustus and easy access to the surrounding lochs and mountains. the lodge was very new and everything worked perfectly. good support from the very helpful staff.
Julian (22 June 2018)

Highly recommended the lodge and site were immaculate. The management team tracey and neil were always on hand for anything we needed. The only downside was having to leave such a beautiful tranquil place will definitely be going again .
Lisa from Sheffield (22 June 2018)

Lovely location. beautiful lodge. disappointed about the 10pm hot tub curfew . although understand reason for this, I was disappointed this was not highlighted beforehand - was only discovered when arriving at lodge
Susan from Glasgow (22 June 2018)

Lovely lodge, friendly staff, good location. Could do with more outdoor furniture as there isn't enough for everyone to sit together.

William from Lockerbie (09 April 2018)

Our lodge was immaculate and the location of the site was ideal for exploring the northern highlands . we will definitely visit that part of scotland again. As a family with a baby and young child, we'd probably opt for a more family focused site next time; something with a play park and more expansive grounds for children to run around on (e.g a play field). out of the many places we visited, fort augustus where this site is located, was our least favourite. Lacked 'life' and we weren't too impressed by the food served in the local pub - it was honest, cheap and cheerful homemade food, but nothing special.
Jessica from Newcastle (06 April 2018)

Awesome family venue

Best log cabin i’ve been to, hot tub was amazing only one night it was cooler but it was minus 2 in weather, the staff were very helpful when needed but also didn’t hound or annoy us, when needed the road in and out were great, they supplied a folder of a map and near locations for tourism! recycling was available which we were happy about! close to the local shops and loch ness, we are planning to return in april
Melissa (19 February 2018)

This is the best holiday i've ever been on. Best weekend of my life. Definitely worth the money.

We went on a couples holiday and loved every minute. The lodge looked exactly how I expected it too from the pictures shown. The staff were lovely, introduced you to the place and showed you around and then left you to it which was ideal for us. The only downside to it was that the water temperature was inconsistent and hard to manage but that didn’t ruin the experience. Loved it!

Accomodation was fab. Quiet. Hot tub felt a little on looked but would definitely return. possibly could have done with a welcome pack with what is in and around the surrounding area as there was no internet except to pay £10 for 3 days to access the caravan internet. Work was being done on neighbouring lodges but not at a disturbance to us.
Mhairi-Anne from Hawick (03 November 2017)

Excellent accommodation, spotlessly clean in great location.
David (09 October 2017)

Arrived and was allocated a different lodge. Not a problem but although the lodge had been prepared for our arrival we did find two unexpected items. One in the toilet and the second, woman’s underwear, on top of the cupboard. Not happy and we did advise the owner. Lodge was due to be vacated by 10.00 yet the hot tub was being drained before 9.30. . overall it wouldn’t have taken much for the owners to express more interest in their customers. No customer relation whatsoever.

We were travelling with our toddler, not a lot of space in the cabin. The hot tub is located to the back with no direct access from the cabin so we couldnt really use it. Would be perfect for couples break but not really for small children
Kenneth (02 October 2017)

The lodge was immaculate and the site, although part developed, was well kept. My only complaint was I paid £10 for wi-fi on the friday, I went off site saturday tried to log in when I came back and it wouldn't let me, so had to pay another £5.
Karen from Dunfermline (02 October 2017)

We stayed at loch ness retreat as my husband was running the inverness marathon. The location, was perfect for the fort augustus pick up point for the race morning. The accommodation was excellent, very inviting interior and extremely well equipped. It even had board games to keep our 8 and 13 year old happy. Hot tub was excellent and helped with recovery for after the race. We stocked up with food/refreshments at morrisons in at fort william as it was on our way. The owners greeted us on arrival and showed us to our accommodation. They both where so warming and welcoming. Extremely friendly and very informative of the site. I only wish we had a little more time to explore the area. We have already booked again for next year as the retreat catered for our every need. If I had the option I would score 11.
Ilisa from Ruther (25 September 2017)

Overall fantastic
Craig (25 September 2017)

They say lodge, I say caravan with cladding. The second (twin) room was as you would expect in a caravan with beds really close together. As somewhere to sleep it was fine if it was only 1 person, 2 people would struggle with space for clothes etc for more than a few days. . . that said, the accommodation was spotless. . there is no one in fort augustus that will deliver food - so be prepared to cook or take oven meals (there is a small londis in ft augustus but that is it.) the lovat hotel is nice and only a 10 minute stroll away but not cheap - it is a treat

Smelly bathroom held back ratings
M J from Swindon (11 September 2017)

Really enjoyed the absolute peace and quiet. Lovely lodge and very relaxing in the hot tub.
Mark from Kirriemuir (25 August 2017)

The lodge was a caravan made to look like a lodge and was not on loch ness as pictured. However was clean and quiet and staff were brilliant
Darren from Cambridgeshire (14 August 2017)

Lovely site, beautiful holiday home and nice hot tub. Staff friendly. Site clean and tidy. Easy access to fort augustus for dining out. Lots of walking for all abilities. The only thing is I would say it's a tad expensive for what it is. No wifi and as there is no 4g in the area this was a bit of a draw back. yes it is a retreat , but in this day and age the only way people get information is by going online , even if it is just to find things to do and places to eat in the area. This site doesn't offer much for children.
Carmel from Halkirk (14 August 2017)

A really lovely location near the caledonian canal with great views of the nearby hills and mountains. . the site is still getting established so it all feels a little sterile at the moment but the lodges were good sized, new and comfortable. We had a lovely hot tub I just wish it was on the balcony/patio area not separate across sharp stones. . overall minor quibbles. We had a fab holiday based at the loch ness retreat and the site contributed to that. The staff/owners were very friendly and we were made very welcome. . I would stay again!!
Neil from Hull (04 August 2017)

Beautiful clean and amazing surroundings. . definitely needs laundry and free wifi . . even better playground for children
Sarah from Oldham (04 August 2017)

Nice accomodation, only surfaced cleaned, no one had cleaned on top of wardrobes etc probably ever as very dusty and litter. Nothing on site at all in way of shop, facilities, pool etc literally just the lodge. Didn't get instructions or explanation of heating functions. No apparent option for bedding change or clean towels, got handed the keys then never saw staff for the whole week, very pretty area, no wifi.
Mark from Dereham, Norfolk (31 July 2017)

Very clean location.quiet.lovely place to chill out.

Best place ever . beautiful cabin beautiful place
Joan from Kilmaurs (21 July 2017)

Good location, friendly staff, peaceful, accommodation good
Rachel (17 July 2017)

We stayed in the dalmahoy, number 7 with 2 adults and 2 kids. Spotlessly clean and lots of wee extras which made it a home from home. Beautiful location and very helpful staff. The only thing we'd suggest for the future is slippers and robes for going to and from the hot tub.
Joanne from Edinburgh (14 July 2017)

Great place, great facilities, staff very helpful and friendly and great value for money!
James from Cm2 7Ns (14 July 2017)

We stayed in a very clean and we'll fitted out cabin. Great space to come back to after a day out in the beautiful highlands. We were told on arrival that the shower was sensitive but I would call that an understatement. The shower had a mind of its own and all of a sudden would throw boiling hot water at you. This happened every day. I think this should be looked at with a sense of urgency by those in charge before it burns someone badly. The hot tub on the other hand was fantastic and a great added extra. All in all if the shower issue is rectified these cabins are top notch for a break in the scottish highlands.
Jane from Aberdeen (14 July 2017)

Was a great place to go to for a long weekend. but be aware the bedrooms are on the small side, so a longer stay may feel cramped. . the location and staff were excellent.
Mark (10 July 2017)

Beautiful place, lodge was spotless and hot tub was amazing would recommend to anybody who is looking for peace and tranquility.
Angela from Fife (10 July 2017)

It is a lovely and quiet location. You can easily walk into fort augustus along the canal from here in about 15 mins. . . beautiful views and walks. . . you need transport to get to some of the popular visitor attraction like urquhart castle.
Lorraine from Blairgowrie (07 July 2017)

We stayed at the loch ness retreat for 4 nights earlier this month and the accommodation, staff and location was excellent. We will definitely be back again this year for another visit. . highly recommended :-)
Steph from Glasgow (07 July 2017)

Nice location allowing easy access to both inverness and fort william areas.
Sara from Musselburgh (07 July 2017)

Beautiful setting, quiet and within walking distance of town, accommodation was just lovely would really recommend.
Karen from Cramlington (07 July 2017)

First class lodge and staff could not fault
Colin from Lock Ness Retreat (07 July 2017)

1 week stay in june 2017. Lovey lodge with great facilities (e.g. Private hot-tub). some extra things left in the lodge by the staff was a nice touch. Location was perfect for exploring local area around loch ness. Only additional feature to look into including would be wifi (even if it was pay per device) as service in local area was not great. But other than that really good stay all round!
Mike (19 June 2017)

Only fault some decking leading from the lodge to the hot tub instead of walking over the gravel or getting shoes wet when getting out would be great otherwise every thing is fine.
Maureen from Durham (19 June 2017)

This is a nice quite location with lovely surroundings and although there is no restaurant on site, it is very close to fort augustos which has many eating places. The entire area is really very scenic but there is a problem trying to get wi-fi. a good base for exploring the highlands.
Margaret from Glasgow (16 June 2017)

We absolutely loved our trip!. . the lodge & hot tub were superb but jane & noel made everything perfect from the very warm welcome we got from the second we arrived & all the valuable information we needed about the area etc.. . they were both always smiling & happy to help. . we couldn't recommend this park enough, so quiet with stunning scenery. . thank you very much jane & noel,. . iain, susie & boys
Susan from Aberdeenshire (12 June 2017)

The lodge we stayed in was warm, comfortable, exceptionally clean and very well equipped. There is a good amount of space between lodges with plenty of room for parking and the hot tub was in a screened area off the decking to the side of the lodge. . loch ness retreat is a small relatively new site set in a quiet and peaceful location surrounded by beautiful highland scenery. The caledonian canal is just a few minutes walk with fort augustus and loch ness about a 15 minute stroll along the towpath. There is a very good fish and chip shop in the village right next to the canal. Also pubs restaurants and a small general store. . . if this is the type of holiday you are looking for we would recommend loch ness retreat.
Carol from Southampton (09 June 2017)

Lovely area for a holiday. very centrally located for inverness, fort william and aviemore. On the banks of caledonian canal so plenty of boats to watch going through the locks there. local grocery store nearby for basic essentials. Scenery spectacular.
Ruth from Airdrie (09 June 2017)

Beautiful area, caravan was small, although brand new, site was misrepresented as being on loch ness, about a mile away. There was problems with the sewerage system as the en-suite smelt of sewerage and we avoided its use.the shower was difficult to set a a constant temperature and was either cold or scolding hot in waves, only apparent control was to turn boiler to very low, alternately the water pressure for the bath was almost non existant, on the one occassion it was used it took an age to fill and was not very warm. Probably the worst thing was the weather, constant rain and cold. Staff were nice and friendly, although new to the area and unable to give any information about the area, places to visit etc.
Steve from Poole (09 June 2017)

Absolutely fantastic place. So picturesque and quiet but a short walk to the canal, pub and restaurants. Perfect location for all the sites
Eileen from East Kilbride (05 June 2017)

Our group were only there for a weekend but we wish it had been longer. The lodge was so very comfortable and was fully equipped, nothing had been omitted and was scrupulously. Clean. The hot tub was maintained each morning. . was only 5 minutes away from fort augustus where many an hour could be spent watching the boats on the canal. Good meals at the local pubs. . the staff on the site, noel, jane and craig were extremely helpful and very pleasant.
Lydia from South Lanarkshire (05 June 2017)

Beautiful lodge, spotlessly clean. Lovely staff, all round fab experience!
Jodie from Edinburgh (05 June 2017)

My partner and I stayed in the muirfield lodge for 3 nights when the park had only just opened. We could not fault anything! the lodge was spotless and very modern. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Caravan is very clean and everything is available. But no services are available nearby. The car must be used and there is no entertainment for children
Saleh from Glasgow (15 May 2017)

This accommodation was brand spanking new. very clean and tidy. hot tub was good too. needing a fish slice in the kitchen, a mat at the patio doors (the light grey carpet will be filthy in no time at all), a wee table by the hot tub for drinks and hooks for hanging towels etc. also the outside lights are very very bright and shine directly in your eyes whilst in the hot tub of an evening so they would be best moved a bit. this is not a criticism, and didn't spoil our stay, merely a suggestion. we have had a very enjoyable stay and would be happy to stay again and would recommend it. . . nice small park with large grassy area in the middle, accommodation is situated around the grassy area. I believe there might be accommodation being built in the centre of the park, can I just say that personally I think this would spoil a lovely wee site and may in fact put people off as it would be too cramped. . . billy, in particular, was very good. he was helpful and friendly with a nice relaxed manner about him.
Shivaun from Alloa (17 April 2017)

We had a lovely week here. Good base for exploring the area.
Fiona from Edinburgh (17 April 2017)
