On arrival we were shown round by owner who was very nice but we had to leave early so only stayed one night as my wife wasn't well disappointed owners didn't even contact us we did not sleep in the bedroom as the mattress protector was filthy with stains of bodily fluid which was not acceptable but the rest of cabin was not spotless but surface clean dusty. Windows were so dirty you could hardly see out of them there were dead flies on floor in bedroom and a few live ones in bedroom window so I cant see how this cabin was cleaned before we got there we arrived early but she said it was ready we stayed in cabin 3 overall disappointing as cleanliness is important as I said it wasn't everywhere but no one wants to sleep in a bed with bodily fluids on mattress protector
Chris from Milton Keynes (27 November 2017)

We arrived on the friday and my husband felt like he was being talked down to like a child by the lady running the place. We happened to have an extra body in the car which was my nephew that needed to be picked up locally within the next hour. She made made it clear that she thought we were sneaking another person in. Very uncomfortable. I wanted to wait in the car with the children while she showed my husband the lodge. She took that the wrong way too! the setting and lodge was lovely. Can’t fault that. The lodge was dirty in places such as cupboards in the kitchen. We complained and she did clean this. My son had a huge amount of long black hairs on his bottom sheet we had to pick off! hot tub was lovey can’t complain about that. If it wasn’t for the frosty welcome. We would recommend this place to anyone.
Laura from Plymouth (27 November 2017)

Sette could do with replacing. That's all
Flannan (20 November 2017)

Great to have peace and quiet. Fishing was good, plenty of variety. Cabin had everything (just need to take washing powder and dishwasher tablets),very comfortable, and the hot tub was perfect.
John (13 November 2017)

Great place everything perfect
Daniel from Wells (13 November 2017)

I loved every second spent at the lodge it had everything I needed for a relaxing weekend away. . my guests loved it too. . will definitely be back
Tessa from Truro (06 November 2017)

We have been 3 times previously and always enjoyed our time. The lodges are cosy, warm and very well equipped for someone who likes to cook. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and so peaceful, good for the nerves, our hosts were on hand if needed and very helpful, we will be back...
Barrie from Cheshire (04 November 2017)

What a fabulous relaxing weekend! the lane to kingsford lodges is just that! a typical single track country lane complete with passing places and the odd pothole. if one is driving with due care and attention such lanes are not a problem at all. I would like to point out that the lane is not the responsibility of the owners! we were met by debbie who was both professional and friendly in introducing herself and explaining different aspects to make our stay relaxed and enjoyable. nothing was too much trouble. the lodges are sensitively positioned to ensure each has a lovely view and that the hot tub area is private. we found the lodge to be very clean and contained everything we needed and more! it was very warm and homely with a comfortable bed and enough comfortable seating and space in the lounge if there were four of us. the recycling aspect is not rocket science and we are all doing it at home now any way aren't we? it is worth mentioning that even today not all plastics are recyclable so check your plastics! if you want to stay somewhere where everything you need and more is on site, not to mention the noise and mayhem that goes with it, then kingsford lodges are not for you. if however like us you simply want a quiet, peaceful, and relaxing break in beautiful countryside where the only sounds are those of the natural world, then you will enjoy this little paradise. this was our first visit but it certainly will not be our last!
Michael from Gloucestershire (30 October 2017)

Lovely little place, would stay here if again
Jason (28 October 2017)

This place was absolutely beautiful. We loved every minute and my children would have moved in and stayed given the opportunity! beautifully presented, clean and roomy. Thoroughly enjoyed :)
Emma from Worcestershire (27 October 2017)

This is a truly beautiful lodge in a beautiful destination. After seeing other reviews I was concerned about the drive up to the farm however for devon the road leading to it was really quite spacious!! the lodge had everything we needed! it really was a home from home, so much so we cooked a full roast chicken with all the trimmings! there was lots of leaflets in the lodge which was very helpful! we spent most of our days out exploring devon and our evenings in the cosy living room and popping out to the hottub was just a big plus!! we will definitely recommend kingsford farm to all friends and family for a quiet get away! thank you!!
Jenna (20 October 2017)

We love this place, owners are lovely, lodges are lovely which is why we come back time and time again. . an amazing place to relax and recharge your batteries stargazing at night in the hot tub
Rebecca from Bridgwater (20 October 2017)

This is the second time at kingsford farm, the lodge was very tidy and comfortable
John from Wolverhampton (14 October 2017)

Well equipped clean and tidy, a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing break highly recommended.
Steve from Shrivenham (13 October 2017)

Lovely lodge, lovely rooms and furniture and loved the hot tub. The location was a bit out in the sticks which on one hand is nice but the road to the lodges was very uneven and not good for my car. Plus the disposing of rubbish was too complicated for being holiday with three separate bins for things
Lauren from Exter (09 October 2017)

Road of 2 miles single track with potholes. Sofa in log cabin in need of replacing. hot tub cover needed a handle installed to remove cover. The cover had to be manhandled off which was very heavy for 2 people to do, so could only use half of it with one half folded back. Would not recommend this place for the older generation 50+.
Dawn from Chippenham (29 September 2017)

Very dated. toaster broken, soft furnishings and furnishings very dated. Lodge itself was very nice just needed updating and tlc. beds and bedding uncomfortable. Was very disappointed overall.
Elaine from Erith (16 September 2017)

Single track lane in and out of site was a nightmare could spend as much time reversing as going forwards
Robert from Swindon Wilts (11 September 2017)

Loved the lodges but did not like the two mile single road with passing places to get to it.
Daphne (08 September 2017)

Friendly and helpful will be staying again soon
Steve from Shrivenham (04 September 2017)

Excellent we will be visiting again. My husband and son loved the fishing . quiet , relaxing and the weather was fantastic .
Wendy (02 September 2017)

A perfect short break in a lovely clean lodge with everything we could need. beautiful grounds and the fishing was great, as was the hot tub. it is a very peaceful location and a real get away from it all place. easy to get into exeter and on to dartmoor. we will definitely book again.
Patrick from Bath (01 September 2017)

Lovely place, peaceful location with beautiful views
Joanne from Berkeley, Glos (25 August 2017)

Peace and quiet location, clean and tidy lodge, beautiful location next to a small lake with ducks and fish for the kids to feed. The donkeys also ticked some boxes for kids . overall very enjoyable, 15/20min drive to the shops and 30/45mins to any daytime past times.
Gowan from Isle Of Wight (18 August 2017)

We had such a brilliant break! such a beautiful setting and surroundings, just what you need to recharge the batteries!
Lara from Southampton (07 August 2017)

Lovely lodges in a lovely setting. Spacious and comfortable. Hot tub was fantastic. Only downside is the road leading to the farm which is very narrow, but after travelling along it a few times becomes less daunting. Lots to do in the surrounding area.
Steve from Washington (31 July 2017)

Perfect location for a perfect holiday.
Gaston (28 July 2017)

Very clean lovely lodge. Thought the fact they left jigsaws and we had a utility and hoover and ironing board and iron was just fantastic!!!! fishing isn't great, just a pond. Lady who welcomed us was very good and the local pub/restaurant the lamb inn was excellent.
Robert (21 July 2017)

A lovely part of the country and enjoyed the drive through the moors. Some amazing scenery.
Sue from Dunstable (21 July 2017)

Fantastic place the wildlife is amazing and debbie and her family are lovely we will definitely be back
Customer 30 from Wolverhampton (15 July 2017)

Amazing holiday enjoyed the weather and location. Long road to lodges but very quiet and tranquil. Owners fabulous and helpful gave us a birthday bottle!! couldn't fault it!!!
Prabjit from Cambridgeshire (10 July 2017)

This place is outstanding. So quiet and peaceful. Everything you need is provided. Would definitely stay here again.
Kayleigh from Hull (01 July 2017)

Lovely time away to escape the day to day. Definitely would go there again. The only reason I give a 9 instead of a 10 is a long one way track/road to get to it. But please don't let that put you off.
Felicity from Poole (26 June 2017)

What a fantastic beautiful little secluded gem.we had a fantastic holiday and will be booking to go back soon.the owners were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble.my husband spent the whole two weeks pulling fish after fish out of the beautiful lake.i sunbathed in my little private garden.the lodge was immaculate, with comfy sofa's and bed.and a large tv bonus!!all in all a fantastic two weeks and worth every penny.we'll definitely be back.
Joanne from West Kirby Wirral (24 June 2017)

We had a lovely stay here as always. I was left a bottle of bubbly by the owner for my birthday which was a lovely surprise. The lodge has everything you need, except food. Maybe needs some tongs for cooking but that's the only thing we missed. Lovely clean lodge and the hot tub is amazing. We found a lovely little post office and village shop just at the bottom of the road out in the pathfinder village. Small shop but has all the essentials if you have run out of anything and don't fancy driving to sainsburys. The road down to the lodge is a one track lane so drive carefully but once at the lodge it is so lovely and peaceful its worth the drive! darts farm is worth a visit, budleigh salterton is lovely and also dawlish warren. We will most definitely be back again.
Jenny from Bracknell (23 June 2017)

As a family of 3, with a small baby, we stayed in the top lodge, which was the most secluded of the four. the lodge was clean and tidy, everything worked and we loved the peaceful surroundings with the various animals and wildlife. the last 7 minutes of your journey to the lodge will take you on a single lane road, but that added to the 'out-of-the-way' feel and tranquillity we wanted. . . we would visit again.
Glen (23 June 2017)

I cannot fault this place and will definitely go back again.
Trevor from Overton (23 June 2017)

Beautiful place to stay cannot fault it in any way.
Peter from Pencoed, Nr. Bridgend (17 June 2017)

A pleasant stay in a very peaceful location.
Andrew from Hornchurch (05 June 2017)

Lovely place to stay, very peaceful, couple of donkeys, ducks and fish on site, the only downfall for me was the single track roads to get to the accommodation, couple of occasions we had to reverse back due to tractors and horses coming the other way, otherwise great place for a peaceful break
Sonia from Farnham (03 June 2017)

Great peaceful location, amazing hot tub!!!!. the lane leading to farm is a bit narrow in places but we are used to that and . shouldn't put you off. A better sign at the front would be good as the sat nav only takes you so far!!!!. nice size timber lodges, everything you need although a gas bbq would finish it off...
Steven from The Lane Leading To Farm Is A Bit Narrow In Places (02 June 2017)

Very impressed will be booking again daughter has already booked for october hot tub was superb everything was great can't thought it you need to take all your food and drink with you nearest shop about 15 minutes but not a drama
Gary from Croydon Surrey (29 May 2017)

Stayed here for bank holiday weekend..was very relaxing and scenery was picturesque. Lodge was outstanding & hot tub was best ever..will return
Steve (29 May 2017)

Very relaxing
Joyce from Barton On Sea (26 May 2017)

Beautiful quiet location overlooking the lake and trees but so remote no mobile signal! good wi-fi in lodge and great hot tub. Excellent furniture and fittings.
Caroline (20 May 2017)

Fab break. Fab lodge. Relaxing location . and wonderful hot tub under the stars! . what more do you need?
Melanie from Crewkerne (15 May 2017)

The only downside to this holiday was the long single track lane leading to it which caused difficulties if meeting another vehicle coming the other way.
Reginald from Bristol (12 May 2017)

Cannot waite to go down there again it was one of the best lodges we have stayed in .
Susan from Hampshire (12 May 2017)

Had a lovely 3 night stay in well equipped and comfortable lodge, in a beautiful peaceful location. Beds and pillows comfy and all we needed in the kitchen.
Jane from Jersey (08 May 2017)

We had a fantastic time great lodge and hot tub lovely owners we even had a racing tip off the lady owner which won us £25 good fishing
David from Swansea (06 May 2017)

Beautifully appointed and comfortable lodge with a lovely hot tub. We have nothing bad to say about it. A tip..make sure you take an initial stock of food and drinks etc as the nearest shop is a bit of a trek by car. If you love devon, you'll love this as a base from which to explore it.
Belinda from Basingstoke (29 April 2017)

Lovely peaceful place, to wake up to the sound of birds singing and no traffic noise was wonderful. Hot tub was superb. Lodge has everything needed.
Alan from Codnor Derbyshire (21 April 2017)

Fantastic place if you want peace and quiet which includes very poor phone signal (bonus!) but only 10 minutes from exeter. hot tub the best we have had. There are only 4 lodges and 2 cottages on this working farm. we will be going back as so much more to explore as dartmoor is so close as well.
Jane from Horsham (21 April 2017)

Wonderful, peaceful, relaxing holiday with the bonus of a great hot tub. Would definitely go back
Katy from Bath (15 April 2017)

Lovely, nicely kept place with caring and friendly owners.
Michael from Plymouuth (10 April 2017)

This is the third time that we have stayed at the lodges. The owners are welcoming and happy to answer any questions, the lodges are very clean and comfortable and sited in a lovely quiet area. They are not far from exeter and there are many places to visit including nearby dartmoor.
Alison (07 April 2017)

Really nice lodge in remote setting with a top of the range hot tub. Only thing that let it down slightly was the decor and furnishings were slightly dated. Bed wasn't that comfy and played my back up but all in all a really nice place to stay to get away from everything and just relax and i'd definitely go again. . best hot tub i've been in super hot and enough room for 4 people easily.
Adam from Taunton (03 April 2017)

Brilliant relaxing stay, beautiful picturesque location and near exeter city centre, definitely would recommend.
Conor from Sittingbourne (27 March 2017)

Absolutely fantastic week spent here debbie was really helpful with any issues we had which were only minor couldn't praise her enough lodge was fantastic hot tub to die for 5 stars
Andrew from Darlaston (24 March 2017)

Very comfortable and well made lodges highly recommended.
Steve from Berkshire (13 March 2017)

This is the second time we have stayed at kingsford farm. We love it there. The lodges are beautiful and are decorated and equipped with much more than you would expect from a holiday lodge. The owner is really helpful and always available to help. The location is beautiful and peaceful but also only a short drive away from lovely exeter.
Andrea from Winchester (06 March 2017)

Perfect getaway! everything you need is in the lodge besides food and the hosts were really helpful. The only downside was the narrow lanes you have to use to get to the lodges. Would definately stay again!
Amber (17 February 2017)

Lovely warm spacious lodge with the added luxury of watching the stars every evening in a bubbly, whirling hot tub with a back drop of christmas trees! almost in norway!
Janine from Oxfordshire (17 February 2017)

Beautiful location, very peaceful and tranquil, ideal to "hide away" for a few days
Jacqueline from Birmingham (13 February 2017)

I only stayed for 1 night but it was superb. Cannot fault anything about it. I would highly recommend.
Graham from Bristol (12 February 2017)

Second stay in this lodge, even better than we remembered, really good lodge in a great rural location but only takes 15 minutes to get to exeter.
Bob from Dorset (30 January 2017)

Very clean and comfortable, quite and private, nice hot tub.
Steve from Southampton (23 January 2017)

We had an excellent stay at kingsford farm lodges and would highly recommend to others. ideal for access to dartmoor and exeter. The only reason for a score of 9 on location and surroundings was due to the steep access down the single track lanes to the farm, but don't let this put you off as the lodges are lovely and the hot tubs are great. Very peaceful, quiet area.
Peter from Camborne, Cornwall (13 January 2017)

Had a lovely stay!the lodge was beautiful and partner enjoyed the fishing lake which was full of carp. Great location as well for visiting nearby area's. The beds are the comfiest we have stayed in! will defiantly be returning in the future.
Leanne from Somerset (13 January 2017)

We had a wonderful honeymoon, very friendly people and a wonderful log cabin. Perfect for a quite get away.
David from Windsor (01 October 2016)

Lovely place, nice and secluded, beautiful setting and landscape. Great to unwind. Central for visiting places. Only downfall single dirt track road for almost 1.5 miles with potholes. Ideally a 4x4 is recommended.
Stephanie from Derby (24 September 2016)

My husband & I came here for our anniversary weekend & a quiet break away, we had plans to visit lots of places whilst in devon but ended up staying at the cabin almost all of the weekend, what an amazing place, so tranquil, the cabin has everything you need, just bring food! . the hot tub at night listening to the wildlife is a must. We will defiantly be coming back
Tracey from Doncaster (15 August 2016)

Lovely place to relax. The road in is all part of the charm. The owners were extremely helpful couldn't have asked for better. The lodge is lovely and the setting is like a picture postcard. Very close to exeter.
Darren from Blackpool (13 August 2016)

Just returned from a week stay. outstanding lodges in an outstanding location. . not to far from exeter & the a 30, so ideally situated for sightseeing. . fantastic hot tub to wind down the day. everything you would need provided including games, books, dvd's & puzzles. Will definitely be rebooking for next year. Thank you for a well needed holiday.
Nichola from Southend Essex (06 August 2016)

We had a lovely, relaxing stay here and would definitely return. The owners were friendly and helpful but kept their distance unless needed. A barbecue on the decking would have made it perfect!. my only advice for those really wanting to get away from it all is remember there are four lodges there so the peace from your neighbours can't be guaranteed..
Toni from Chichester (25 July 2016)

Peace and quiete. Lodge was well equipped and staff were only around if you needed them. Lovely.
Callum from Warwick (22 July 2016)

It was lovely quiet, beautiful.
Laura from Norfolk (16 July 2016)

Had a great holiday at the lodges lovely location and lodges well equipped with everything we needed. Wifi was excellent as there was no phone signal. Have recommended to others and hope to be back.
Gillian (15 July 2016)

A lovely peaceful break with beautiful surroundings.
Linda from Burnham-On-Sea (01 July 2016)

This place was exactly what I was looking for to get away from it all. The lodge had everything you'd need from a dishwasher to a washer dryer. Lovely clean, quiet, beautiful place. The hot tub was brilliant too. Will definitely be going back.
Niomi from Amesbury (10 June 2016)

We enjoyed a wonderful midweek stay at this peaceful retreat. . booking process was seamless, lodge was perfectly appointed, everything you could possibly need was there. . the owner welcomed us on arrival, very friendly and showed us around. very peaceful surroundings, only four lodges on site, which made for a relaxing break. the lodges overlooked the pond which is home to ducks and also guinea fowl which were very amusing to watch. there were two elderly donkeys which were so adorable and seemed to have a habit of walking past the lodges at the same time every evening. loved it. Some reviews have mentioned the narrow lane - we agree, it is one-car lane and you do find yourself often reversing into lay-bys for oncoming traffic. but it did not retract one bit from the holiday. please read 'relaxing' and 'peaceful retreat' above. you would not get this tranquil location on the side of an a road. . the last thing to mention is the hot-tub.....pure bliss. . we shall definitely return to kingsford farm again.
Wendy from Llanelli (10 June 2016)

Fantastic surroundings, so peaceful, literally in the middle of nowhere.
Sarah from West Midlands (04 June 2016)

We had a lovely family retreat at kingsford lodge. It was everything we expected when we arrived even better it's beautiful and very peaceful. You are in the middle of no where it was perfect for us and what we wanted we didn't find the narrow road a problem and we drive a big car. lodge was perfect large spacious everything we could need! it was clean and tidy. Staff we met were helpful and friendly I liked the fact we were not bothered by anyone but knew were to go if we needed too. The lake had plenty of fish especially as it was our first time fishing with two 10 year old boys they were very excited and caught lots of fish! the field was great for kicking a football and play games with the boys they did say a little park would go perfect too. maybe for the future something to consider! we will definitely come back we loved it! we had good quality family time thank you!!
Michaela (03 June 2016)

We had a lovely stay in may, it was a beautiful lodge with amazing surroundings. The lady from the farm was lovely and very helpful and we cannot wait to return.
Stephanie from Weston Super Mare (30 May 2016)

We haven't got anything bad to say about kingsford farm lodges, beautiful, fully equipped lodge, lovely surroundings, peaceful & quiet..relaxing hot tub...it was just what we needed! oh..& fishing was good! would definately go again...10/10
Susan from Ipswich, Suffolk. (20 May 2016)

The place was absolutely beautiful, the lady and her family that owned the lodges was genuinely lovely .the only downfall to the holiday was there was far too many little fish in the lake so fishing was slightly awkward .i would recommend staying there again . p.s the donkeys were so friendly too. The lodge was very well equipped I couldn't ask for anything more. I'd live in one of the lodges all year through it was that nice
Bobbi (13 May 2016)

Myself and my husband stayed here for four nights as it was our wedding anniversary and we both didn't want to come home, we were both so relaxed in the calm quiet setting. We can't wait to go back
Rachael from Bristol (06 May 2016)

Excellent accommodation in an excellent location. Had a highly enjoyable week and will return.
Jayson from Rotherham (29 April 2016)

What an amazing place for a relaxing getaway. Cant wait to go back
Katherine from Llanelli (29 April 2016)

Gorgeous holiday! the most relaxing and romantic time away i've ever had!! lovely to have everything clean and friendly welcome
Melissa from Banbury (29 April 2016)

We wanted a peaceful weekend where we could just relax - this was a fantastic lodge and hot tub for our weekend. once we were shown to our lodge we left in peace and quiet and didn't leave the lodge until the end of our weekend and didn't really see any of the other visitors. we took food and wine to last the long weekend we were there, although we had planned to venture out to the local pub, but were so relaxed we didn't want to go anywhere. Fabulous hot tub to relax in. can thoroughly recommend this venue for that perfect get away from everything break.
Alison from Southampton (25 April 2016)

One of 5 lodges around a small lake and next to a farm, with ducks.guinea fowl.donkeys. And sheep for company. Hot tub and outside dining area slightly overlooked by the approach road. Interior fittings as advertised..tho' shaving mirror light would not remain on. No mobile phone signal.poor wifi. The owners are absolutely charming and extremely helpful. We had a great weekend and would certainly return.
David from Exeter (18 April 2016)

Lovely clean lodge, wonderful hot tub, extremely peaceful surroundings. The only issue for us, as we have boys of that age, was the wifi, you can't stream, and if the internet is busy even basic browsing was difficult. if you're looking for a complete get away though this is perfect.
Michael from Plymouth (09 April 2016)

Lovely lodge and hot tub but location was down bumpy narrow country lanes which were a pain.
Anne from Peterborough (12 March 2016)

We both had a wonderful week these quiet beautifully equipped lodges are comfortable in both the lounge area and the bedroom. Wonderful hot showers and beautifully clean hot tub. The family who own the lodges were friendly and helpful. It is very hard to fault this accommodation. The small fishing lake seems to be full of fish and the wildlife prevalent. . I do hope that we will have the chance to visit again. the location of the lodges is a perfect quiet location but the price to be paid are the narrow lanes and bridleways to get to it. Make sure your car has a clean rear window as you will be doing lots of reversing to passing places - all part of the rural life in devon. Loved it!
Andrew from Newport Pagnell (05 March 2016)

Perfect lodge perfect hosts in a lovely location can't be beaten
Jeff from Swinton Mexborough (04 March 2016)

Very clean and spacious accommodation and extremely helpful staff ,very enjoyable stay, would definitely stay again, the hot tub was the icing on the cake.
Phil from Yate Bristol (26 February 2016)

Really nice stay - wifi access was limited and no phone signal. May be an issue for some. Lovely lodge and hot tub with a beautiful setting.
James (19 February 2016)

This was the most relaxing place. It was perfect. The hot tub was ready for us to use straight away. It was so peaceful and relaxing. We are coming back! it's near enough to things but also just in a beautiful setting. The only thing I would pick at with the lodge we stayed in lodge 3, it needs another light nearer to the hot tub as it's pretty dark and in icy weather when you forget there is a step there can be dangerous.
Maisie from Northamptonshire (19 February 2016)

We decided to go to kings ford farm as a short get away and a get away it most certainly was! we had the most amazing break and we didn't want to leave when our stay was over. The surrounding area is stunning. The fishing lake kept us very busy and the hot tub was the icing on the cake. Exeter was a short drive away too so I even managed to do some shopping. The road in was very narrow and pretty bumpy but if you are a confident driver or drive a tracker you will be fine. The accommodation was absolutely spotless and had everything you could ever need to feel at home! we will definitely be coming to stay again.
Sophie from London (12 February 2016)

Fantastic getaway retreat, very peaceful. . location is close enough to explore everything. . wonderful break.
Stephen from Gloucester (08 February 2016)

Great place to stay in a sheltered location. Small road with some large potholes to access.
Lloyd from Portland (01 February 2016)

Wonderful place, lovely cabin and it had all we needed. Lovely long weekend break, doing nothing!!!
Graeme (01 February 2016)

Would definitely recommend and in fact I already have
Gary from Trowbridge (25 January 2016)

This was a superb wooden lodge in outstanding surroundings. the staff were helpful and polite. the lodge was spotless and is very well equipped and furnished. kingsford farm should be proud of their set-up. I will definitely go back in summer and highly recommend this delightful retreat to anyone.
Michael from Oakham (18 January 2016)

Fantastic location, out of the way but close enough to local animaties. Great facilities hot tub was fantastic, this was our second time visiting and we shall definitely be returning
Michael (06 January 2016)

If you want bright lights, hustle and bustle and excitement then don't consider kingsford. If its tranquillity, rustic charm and relaxation then give it a go.
Dean from Stourbridge (30 December 2015)

This was a wonderful place with such as well equipt lodge and lovely surroundings bit of a windy road it but worth it would love to stay here again thanks
Julie from Bristol (27 December 2015)

Lovely lodge bit out the way but had a very relaxing break. The only negative was there was no soap in the bathroom.
Sonia from Bridgnorth Shropshire (27 December 2015)

We have stayed in numerous log cabins over the years and this is by far one of the best. the layout is well thought out and there is plenty of space. the hot tub was lovely and perfectly positioned the shower was really powerful and the washing machine was a real help to spin off wet costumes. . . the wifi was good and worked well. . . yes you have to drive down narrow country lanes but take it slow and you will be fine,. . we will certainly be returning, next time my husband will be bringing his fishing rod.
Rebecca from Bridgwater (21 December 2015)

Was just beautiful. Perfect quiet location but not to far away from town to do things, hot tub was the finishing touch.
Amy from Canterbury Kent (20 November 2015)

Lovely lodge. Very comfortable. Very nice owner. Would definitely recommend
Karen from Bognor Regis (30 October 2015)

Loved it here, its so peaceful , I would definitely be coming back
Carolyn (26 October 2015)

A really lovely and comfortable lodge. . the peace was lovely and great black out blinds on every window! the most comfortable lounge seating we have ever had!. if you are a satnav driver I would always recommend turning right out of the drive wherever you are going!!. lodge 3 is very private but lodge 4 overlooks the garden from the tub-which was very well maintained.
Darren from Kent (24 October 2015)

Amazing place secluded n peaceful debbie can't do enough for you a home from home will def be going back again and again
Martin from Chepstow (19 October 2015)

Perfect, ticked all the boxes
Craig from Warwickshire (12 October 2015)

Absolutely fantastic! had a wonderful stay with you guys this september/ october. Very clean, well furnished, well equipped and very nice and quite! away from the hustle and bustle, super relaxing break, have recommended to friends and family, and will no doubt be re-booking for next year. . a massive thank you, and see you again real soon. . andrea
Andrea from Dudley, West Midlands (02 October 2015)

Ideal location in quiet countryside. The lodge had every facility required. Would recommend.
Trevor from Horsham (26 September 2015)

Lovely tranquil setting. Received a warm welcome.
Rhian from Cardiff (14 September 2015)

Lovely place to relax and unwind, 2nd time for us and it won't be the last. Owners are always friendly, lodge is spacious, clean and has all the usual facilities to offer. The hot tub and deck makes it a blissful haven to sit out and watch the wildlife. The farm is close enough to the sights but tucked away enough to be peacefull. Just love it.
Lynn from Derby (12 September 2015)

Overall we enjoyed out stay in the lodge, we did however notice that the shower wasn't cleaned brought you and the windows and internal glass doors were badly marked and dirty, it didn't spoil our break but more attention needed to the cleaning.
Karen from Magor, Monmouthshire (11 September 2015)

Lovely place to stay and we were made to feel very welcome. its in a very quiet and peacful area but still lovely and close to local attractions. . the accomodation was spotlessly clean and the hot tub was wonderful - clear starry sky was a bonus! . would definately stay there again
Lyndsay (07 September 2015)

Clean spacious and well equiped lodge in a quite location. We had a fantastic and relaxing time. The kids loved the hot tub especially at night when they could have the lights on. We would definitely stop in these lodges again. Thank you.
Clare from Ilkeston, Derbyshire (05 September 2015)

Beautiful place although access is a little tricky as it's right off the beaten track. lodge was well furnished and comfortable, owners were really helpful.
Scott (29 August 2015)

Superb, high standard lodge. Hot tub is the icing on the cake and it is quite central location to a lot of attractions within commutable distance
Andy from Newcastle Under Lyme (28 August 2015)

I honestly cant fault any of it..
Mark from Huntingdon (22 August 2015)

Lovely and relaxing, just what we wanted. Thank you
Helen (10 August 2015)

If you're looking for remoteness yet close to the m5 this is it. Lovely lodge with fabulous hot tub and well-stocked fishing lake to keep the kids and husband happy.
Maxine (08 August 2015)

Lovely peaceful setting ,well furnished modern lodge with a great fishing lake for the part time fisherman ovice hot tub was nice and private and the owners were very helpful and pleasant
Dean from Swindon (07 August 2015)

We had a short and excellent stay at kingsford.
Tirthabahadur from Aldershot, Hampshire (03 August 2015)

Had a good holiday however looking at the picture it lead us to think that you could fish off the lodge.
Anita (01 August 2015)

We had a great stay at kingsford farm this summer. We stayed for 2 weeks and thoroughly enjoyed the lodge and all the new facilities. The family who own it were always very accommodating, friendly and helpful; they even let me print off some documentation for a re-mortgage application I was in the middle of by using their own computer and printer. Everything was clean and shiny inside and out. The hot tub was excellent and the wi-fi in the lodge was rock solid. The boiler in our lodge had a slight leak which got some of our clothes stained as they were below it waiting to be washed, but we managed to wash it out, so no harm done. We're considering getting a booking for next year as there's so much to do in the area for little kids.
Nicholas from Leicester (25 July 2015)

What a wonderful place. Thank you for a lovely holiday.
Simon from Ringwood (25 July 2015)

Would definatly stay there again.
Damain from Bracknell (18 July 2015)

Absolutely spot on. Cannot fault this place, the lodge was spotless, the site was spotless. The lodge had everything you need and the hot tub was the icing on the cake. We stopped in lodge 3 which in our opinion is the best situated as it is the most private. The bed was very comfy and we slept like a log!. it is so quiet all you hear is the sheep and a pheasant! . the lane leading down to the lodge from main road is 2.1 miles and is single track, we didn't meet anything except a horse one morning which we guess we were lucky as meeting traffic could be fun! we have a 4x4 and the mirrors touched the hedge both sides! we thought this was fun but a nervous driver might not!. no mobile signal which didn't bother us, we did use the free wifi to keep in touch with home. . the village pub the lamb looks nice, the one night we decided to go it was shut! we found another pub a couple of miles down the road towards exeter called the twisted oak! (brown signs take you there) very nice we went twice, good for families as has a beer garden with slides but also has a family restaurant and bar restaurant, so if like us your a couple you can eat in peace! food was lovely both times. . no local shop but sainsburys only 10 min drive. Torquay was about 25 mins drive and dartmoor to see ponies about 10-15 mins. . all in all we had a fantastic peaceful week and would go again tomorrow. . a total get away from it all holiday didn't want to leave.
Anne from Derbyshire (11 July 2015)

Great place! we have done a few of these lodges and hot tubs, and this is by far the best combination yet. We loved the location, the lodges was immaculate and debbie looked after us well. . the location was ideal for both north and south coast, but ideally suited for exeter if you wanted a bit of night life. It was also completely out of the way in terms of "dropping off the planet." if you want a holiday camp style atmosphere, don't bother! the privacy afforded by this site is fantastic, even down to the lodge, completely secluded hot tub and patio, all of it just great. We travelled by motorcycle and even the utility room was great for drying the gear out when we got wet a few times. By the way, we read the comments about the lanes where the site is, and after travelling them, on a large motorcycl'e, I really want to suggest those people want to get a life, it's part of what devon has to offer. We managed very well on the bike, fully laden and shopping on board. Seriously, they are narrow etc, but please, it's part of the charm and isolation that this part of the world has to offer. The lodge is immaculately clean, well equipped and very comfortable. The only thing we felt we needed at any point that we didn't have was a can of fly spray. In terms of shopping, sainsbury in alphington, exeter, was only 5 miles away. Hot tub was great, lying in there and watching the birds of prey hovering was so chilling. We loved it, we will go back!. and a message for debbie, thanks for sending the blouse back, appreciate it! . . if you want some peace and quiet, great location, and quality accomodation, just book it! and when you've been, you can let me know I was right!!
David from Witham (04 July 2015)

Great place to stay, one of mine and the missus's best holidays. Highly recommend.
Thomas (29 June 2015)

Matthew from Minehead (20 June 2015)

Beautiful place to stay.amazing lodges and hot tub and owners were so helpful and friendly loved staying there and will do again thank you
Helen from Bristol (20 June 2015)

This is our second time here and it will not be our last. Lovely, peaceful location, the ideal place just to completely relax but not far from exeter. Perfect cabin, very well equipped, comfy bed, private. What more could you ask for?

Sarah from Bristol (05 June 2015)

Upon arrival (an hour early) we were greeted by a lady who at first we were unsure of, after a conversation with her we realised our prejudgment was incorrect. She was really welcoming and friendly. The lodge was perfect, the surroundings were great and the facilities were outstanding. Everything you could need was catered for. I would recommend this to everyone and anyone. The only problem was I didnt take my fishing tackle to fish the small fishing lake onsite. We would go again tomorrow (with fishing tackle in tow)
Jamie (01 June 2015)

Excellent weekend away, the lodge had every thing and hot tub was lovely. Fishing was good, lost count of number of fish caught. Excellent sunday lunch at nearby lamb inn.
