Lovely place, nice and relaxing, fantastic staff
Angela from Seaham Co Durham (20 April 2018)

We had the most wonderful time at landal. We stayed in the aurora lodge and could not have been happier with or choice. The little extras such as the welcome box and sweets for the car on check out were lovely touches also. I can’t stop recomending landal to my friends as I feel everyone should get to experience this lovely place in the world.
Customer 2 (20 April 2018)

Very good location not all crammed in like cp etc
Paul (16 April 2018)

The cabin was of high spec and well maintained. The hot tub was wonderful and in excellent condition. . we stayed in the spring and found that the conditions at kielder suited us in that season. Setting was magical and surroundings very beautiful. Spa was very good but floor in changing rooms for pool was muddy and not many cubicles available. That’s was our only gripe!. have already booked for same time in 2019.
Janet from Hexham (16 April 2018)

A great place for families or couples
Ryan (16 April 2018)

Had a great time , however I wish it had been made clear on arrival that all activities had to be booked well in advance . the bird of prey show was amazing , lodge very comfortable but could do with small kitchen tongs.
Lesley-Ann from Kilmarnock (16 April 2018)

We had a wonderful stay and the night watchman was fantastic, we arrived at 12.00 midnight and he was able to give us our key, all the information we needed and he was just amazing.
Belinda from Aberdeen (13 April 2018)

Beautiful spot on edge of kielder water, accomodation was lovely and staff friendly and helpful. Attention was paid to details with the exception, sadly of the spa area. Changing area was cramped, lockers didn't work and used towel pile had taken over the two basins - no staff were on duty - need signs telling people not to leave their clothes in the few changing cubicles. The restaurant and the cafe were great and facilities for children also very good.
Gill (13 April 2018)

Fantastic holiday in wonderful surroundings. Having absolutely zero mobile signal was a bit of a shock (& blessing??). lodge was perfectly adequate - reasonably equipped, very comfortable, spacious albeit looking a tiny bit tired in places. Resort centre very nice, bonus that lodge guests have some activities included. Pool is small but didn't stop kids loving it. Perfect area for biking/walking.
Michael (13 April 2018)

Beautiful accommodation, and location. Lots to do.
Ali from Nottingham (13 April 2018)

Lovely weekend, there am was a mix up with our lodge when we arrived but staff were extremely prompt and managed the situation incredibly well and upgraded us- which was very luxurious. Only thing we didn’t like was how exposed the hot tub was to the entry road and how people kept stopping and watching us on their way into the complex. We also felt that the shop was quite expensive and maybe could have stocked a few more items as there were no shops for miles and even though I know you could do a tesco shop now, I wasn’t told that when I booked.
Hazel from Glasgow (09 April 2018)

This was more expensive than we normally pay for a 4 day break but worth every penny. The location, lodge, facilities, warm welcome and staff were fantastic. Lots of lovely touches like complimentary toiletries, drinks on arrival and sweets for the children when we left really added to a great stay. A lot included in the price like swimming, free lake tour by boat. The eatery even had a soft play and an opportunity to take pizzas back to the lodge. Lots of play grounds for a family with children. my son is a non walker at 5 and some of the play grounds were accessible for him which is a refreshing change. I must mention the warm welcome we got from geoff and jack in reception. I would highly recommend, there's something for everyone here.
Catherine from Harrogate North Yorkshire (09 April 2018)

We had a lovely time at kielder and in the lodge. The lodge was clean but there were a couple of old crisp packets left on the balcony as well as old empty beer bottles on the floor outside when we arrived. They were gone the next morning. The bike hire wasn’t available on site and we were told to drive to kielder to hire a bike. We did that but they were fully booked. Whilst this isn’t the fault of the staff at the lodges, they could have offered to call the bike hire place at kielder who are the same supplier as on-site and reserve bikes for us. It was a real disappointment to not be able to cycle when on-site bike hire was advertised. . the lodge was lovely, the lake view was very nice indeed and the staff, in general, were friendly and kind. Walking around the lake, the forest and the general area was utterly peaceful and exactly what we had hoped. The swimming, steam, sauna facilities are lovely and were available just when we wanted. . the on-site pub/restaurant has excellent, friendly staff and the drinks offering was great. The food was a basic pub menu and nothing to write him about. . I feel the price was a bit steep for what it is, but we were on holiday over the easter period which I realise carries a premium.
Francois from London (09 April 2018)

Very welcoming staff, great part of the country. will definitely go back.
Natalie from Hull (09 April 2018)

Excellent, . staff were fantastic
Helen from Morecambe (06 April 2018)

Lovely modern clean lodge, great location , good activities for children and friendly staff. A super break
Louise from Newcastle (06 April 2018)

Great week away. We had basic lodge but was ok for what we needed. A hot tub would have been a better option as we couldn’t always get on the activities and with wet weather the play parks were flooded. But all in all a very good break. Will definitely go back. Friendly staff who go out the way to help.
Chris from Nottingham (06 April 2018)

This holiday was perfect, great location, great facilities, peaceful and relaxing.
Kirstie from York (06 April 2018)

Amazing holiday with wonderful staff and facilities. It exceeded our expectations with so much to do.
Sonia from Whitley Bay (06 April 2018)

Very peaceful location. loved the hot tub and activities on site. Well equipped lodge.
Sarah from Maidenhead (02 April 2018)

Beautiful cabin with everything we needed to make sure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable
Beverley from Gateshead (02 April 2018)

Outstanding setting and fantastic lodge . however as it was a "working holiday" we came expecting wifi availability in the lodge - there was none. Furthermore the communal wifi connectivity was very poor. This was the only negative but was a big issue for us as we came expecting it to be available as pre the online booking information.
David (02 April 2018)

Fantastic holiday, we loved every moment and will certainly be back. Perfect if you have active kids who love being outdoors.
Gemma (30 March 2018)

Amazing place and nothing too much for the staff
Joanne from Lowestoft (30 March 2018)

Loved kielder peace and tranquillity. The staff were fabulous. Lots of activities. The ship inn served some lovely food. We will be back.
Rachel from Billington Lancashire (30 March 2018)

Great location and site. Would recommend if you enjoy the outdoors, and relaxing. Plenty of activities for youngsters to do if needed.
Robert from Rossendale (30 March 2018)

Fabulous relaxing holiday. Beautiful surroundings. We had the 'hadrian lodge' which had everything we needed for a wonderful time. It was clean, warm and cosy.
Glen from Newcastle (30 March 2018)

Beautiful place with fantastic facilities.
Becki (30 March 2018)

Location is fantastic and the staff cannot do enough for you
Catherine from Newcastle (30 March 2018)

Great place to stay lots 5o entertain children without even going off site
Katy from Hull (30 March 2018)

We’ve been going to kielder for about 10 years. Both me and my husband feel the facilities are improving every year.
Norman from Gateshead (26 March 2018)

Pleasantly surprised to find that the on site bar/restaurant was reasonably priced and staff were lovely. Pool area small but perfectly formed. We were lucky with our elevated lodge as we picked up phone/internet signal but coverage can be hit and miss. Lodge itself was very well equipped , spotlessly clean and comfortable.
Andrea from Darlington (26 March 2018)

A great place to stay. our cabin was a basic one but its facilities were far from basic. the staff were very friendly and gave great information about places to see and visit. the on site pub/restaurant was super too - lovely food and atmosphere.
Anna from Derbyshire (26 March 2018)

Great break away. Cabin and hot tub was amazing. Small issue with renting dvd’s that was all sorted when we left. Great time to visit as it’s a bit quieter. We will be back and will be bringing the bikes.
Michael from Lincoln (26 March 2018)

We had a brilliant week at kielder and are hoping to return the same week next year. We have already recommended it to friends and family.
Lisa from Great Ayton, North Yorkshire (26 March 2018)

Absolutely fantastic location, wonderful lodge, great to have 24h reception and shop facility. Cafe good to have but closed randomly for cleaning with no prior notice, and breakfast a bit tired and overpriced. Pub great with good food and plenty of seating. Cafe and pub staff hit n miss - some served with a smile, others a bit spaced out! . lodge excellent - superb views, well done out, lovely hot shower and good sized rooms. Hot tub wonderful, definitely worth paying extra for lodge with tub and view. Overall not the cheapest, but we did book last minute and were only 2 in a lodge for 4.
Customer 36 from Whitley Bay (26 March 2018)

Fantastic location, it’s just a shame that not all the activities are available in march. However, this gives more opportunity to make the most of the natural surroundings. Also, the welcome from and helpfulness if the team there is great. Couldn’t fault them.
Amanda from North Yorkshire (26 March 2018)

Fabulous, although it does seem to get more and more expensive every time. Not sure about the idea of changing a bedroom into a dining room, it was too far to walk with hot bowl of soup. Also microwave too high for small people like me, I burnt my hand with said hot soup trying to lift it out!
Davina from Whitley Bay (26 March 2018)

Outstanding!. our first visit, and we are already booked to return!. I cannot think of one negative thing to say about it.
Tina from Darlington (26 March 2018)

Spotlessly clean, well equipped, scenic views, plenty of forest woodland for dog walking just outside the door, peaceful & relaxing.
Adrienne from Leeds (23 March 2018)

We had a wonderful four day break at kielder. The cabin was beautifully presented, the tea, coffee and milk on arrival was very welcome. The staff at reception were very helpful. When I asked for slimmer pillows they were brought round right away. My son loved the ps4 and us grown ups loved the hot tub. The surroundings are stunning and our cabin looked over the bird of prey centre. Dark skies for star watching and owls hooting through the woods. If only I had been able to see a red squirrel. Maybe next time.
Joanne (23 March 2018)

Lovely quiet spot, great for walking, great get away from it all place
Jill from Grimsby (23 March 2018)

Excellent lodge with everything you need. very relaxing beautiful place.
Caroline from Burnham (23 March 2018)

Nice place would be great in summer. Pool is a little on the small side. But every thing else was nice
Scott (23 March 2018)

Lovely lodge, well finished. Only downside was that hot tub felt exposed to neighbours walking or driving past
Karen from Leeds (23 March 2018)

Excellent lodges & great fishing
John (19 March 2018)

Beautiful location & very well equipped lodge. Staff were very helpful and friendly. We loved that we didn't have to get in the car all weekend.
Kate from Ilkley (19 March 2018)

We have a wonderful weekend away. The staff were amazingly helpful and kind. The aurora was beautiful. Shame about the hot tube not getting up to heat. However it was a beautiful place and fabulous staff. We will be back.
Grace from Holmfirth (19 March 2018)

Lovely holiday park, good for all weather with indoor swimming pool.
Caroline from Houghton Le Spring (19 March 2018)

Had a fabulous week at this park, lodge was spotless and had everything we needed. Hot tub was checked everyday. The staff are most friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back
Alyson from Glasgow (19 March 2018)

We had an excellwnt stsy. The accomodation was lovely. The bedrooms were beautiful and the bed was very comfy. We loved the hot tub. the staff were very polite and helpful. The little touches made our stay special, such as prosecco on arrival, courtesy call the next morning to see if everything was ok, even new cloths and scourers in the kitchen. They thought of everything. Will definitely be back
Levena from Billingham (19 March 2018)

This is a really beautiful place to visit, even though we picked the worst weekend possible. The staff were really nice and very helpful and they also cleared the snow and salted the roadways in no time. The only down side was the pub/restraunt opening hours. Closing at 5pm on a sunday out in the middle of nowhere is a bit silly me thinks. You definitely missed out on meals and drinks for a number of families, otherwise, we had a really great time.
Geoffrey from Darlington (19 March 2018)

An absolute gem of a place. Beautiful surroundings, very peaceful but with lots to do for kids and adults if wanted. The staff are superb, they all seem to love what they do and be genuinely proud of the area. Customer service was friendly and impeccable.
Sharon from Keighley (19 March 2018)

Me and my friend are disabled we came for 3 days fishing but due to weather we could not fish .so we still stayed. The staff could not do enough for us. They made up for the fishing we will definitely go back and do some fishing hopefully. 10 out of 10 from us thank your staff for a1 service.
George from Guisborugh (19 March 2018)

Had an amazing 3 night stay will defo be back staff lovely lodges amazing with amazing views only downside to our stay was payed 3 nights in one of the spa lodges but our hot tub had been emptied and took hours and hours for it to heat up we couldn't use it the first night which was upsetting as everyone around us were in theirs enjoying them selves as soon as they checked in
Alison from Durham (19 March 2018)

This is a fab place to visit. I loved the clean air, lake, walking, swimming pool, sauna and free activities. I would certainly go back but I would not book a small cabin. The furniture is far too large for the size of the cabin. I have bruises on my legs from the wooden corners of the bed which are too close to the entrance to the bedroom and I could only fit 3 chairs around the dining room table (it's cabin for 4). they just need smaller furniture to fit the size of the cabin.
Laura from Hexham (19 March 2018)

Fabulous place for a quiet family holiday. The staff were so helpful and friendly and the accommodation was perfect. We will return
Emma from Derbyshire (16 March 2018)

Perfect !
Alexandra (16 March 2018)

We have been holidaying at leaplish on an almost annual basis for over 25 years. I feel , that following recent expansion of the site the general upkeep of the cabin we were I was poor, broken clock ( easily repaired by myself ), broken handles ( easily repaired by myself),. leaking toilet ( couldn't be bothered to fix )....changeover staff tried to evict us 2 days early due to wrong paperwork...hot tub was similarly emptied 2 days before we were due to leave due to wrong paperwork, and hence could not be used until refilled and re-heated , leaving it out of action for a day of our holidays. Perhaps they have not matched their recent expansion with an increase in staff.
Nigel from Yarm (12 March 2018)

A wonderful weekend that was made exceptional because of the little extras. Bubbles and orange juice on arrival, call to check everything was okay. However the helpfulness of the staff was challenged when I left some luggage and they arranged to send it to me the same day. . a perfect weekend. Except the weather but I won’t hold that against you haha
Maureen from Burnley (12 March 2018)

Lovely staff, lovely area, have booked for next april, a little shocked to find going one month later (pre-easter holidays) doubles the price.
Ian from Northwich (12 March 2018)

Our second stay and already booked a third. Plenty of lovely walks to take the do on. Great all round.
Christopher from Houghton-Le-Spring (12 March 2018)

Beautiful lodge, very comfortable and clean, it had everything we needed with the added touch of a welcoming box of chocolates and a pint of milk in the fridge. we loved the hot tub too.
Julie from Sunderland (12 March 2018)

Excellent break for the weekend. . . staff very very helpful, excellent welcome when we arrived, keys and map location of . . cabin were waiting for our arrival. . . giving a full brief regarding the lodge and facilities available.
Colin from Newcastle (12 March 2018)

Fantastic. I love this place so much I go at least once a year. It’s a shame it’s becoming so much busier (and so less quiet) now but it’s a victim of its own success I guess! still beautiful and a wonderful break.
Ceryn from Cramlington, Northumberland (09 March 2018)

Amazing place and breathtaking views. staff are great and lovely little indoor pool.
Richard (09 March 2018)

Superb !! the quality of the lodge was amazing - everything was top quality and there was everything you could think of. a lot of the nearby places to visit were shut, due to the time of year, but the bird of prey centre, was great and the boat inn was lovely - especially denise who served us - she was very friendly !!. . we will definitely be back.
Julie from Thornaby (09 March 2018)

We had a wonderful time. The staff were absolutely fantastic and really went out of their way to ensure we had a great time. Lodge was well equipped and really enjoyed the hot tub.
Adam from Manchester (09 March 2018)

Great break, the staff were very helpful and friendly, nothing was too much bother. The accommodation was clean, modern and comfortable. Only downside, lack of wifi facilities, however, this is made up for by free use of the telephone within the cabin.
Donna from Edinburgh (09 March 2018)

Excellent holiday , the staff were very welcoming and were helpfull and friendly throughout the stay .
Lee from Doncaster (09 March 2018)

Fab location with great facilities and staff. Couldn't ask for more.
Victoria from Newcastle Upon Tyne (09 March 2018)

Execellent
Linda from Goathland (09 March 2018)

We stayed in the beech premier lodge for 4 night in february. . family of 4 with 2 kids aged 4 & 5. . the lodge was fantastic; everything you could need and more, all mod-cons. . the surroundings are wonderful, nature at its best. . . we stayed during a week with massive snowfall so couldn’t leave the park all week but this was okay. The staff were so helpful, they put on as many indoor events as they could for the kids (tom was brilliant) and we still thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and will definitely return. . . the on site shop kept us topped up during the week, chef’s bread was great when the normal delivery couldn’t get there due to the snow. . . the food in the restaurant was very good too. . . the pool was great, a little crowded in the small changing area at times but no big deal. . . the gym, though not the biggest room, was also good. Never too busy anyway. Plenty cardio machines. A small free weights area and a couple of benches. Enough for a decent cardio or strength workout and decent kit too. . . a brilliant snowed in holiday!
Gary from Durham (02 March 2018)

Amazing - although we had so much snow and got snowed in the staff were so helpful,. reception. Bar and restaurant. Lady manager. Lads that work on the site. I cant remember all their names otherwise I would be pushing for then to be praised. . all were great and helped us more then we could have wanted or needed. We will definitely be returning.
Chris (02 March 2018)

Fab place and when we got snowed in the skeleton staff snowed in with us were a delight, incredibly helpful and always smiling and happy to help. Special mention goes to young alex the apprentice whizzy round on on his golf cart keeping everything going ( and providing an impromptu taxi service for the less able guests), the always welcoming and entertaining sean in the pub ( and his colleague mark), as well as tom who keep us amused with indoor archery ( in the pub!) when the weather was too bad to do so outside ( and found us eggs when we ran out). . sam and her team looked after us incredibly well, so well in fact that we are going back for new a year.
Angela from Wetherby (02 March 2018)

Well presented cabin and professional friendly staff
Paul from Darlington (02 March 2018)

We had a lovely stay during the recent "beast from the east" snow storms, mainly thanks to the fantastic staff who, despite depleted numbers, couldn't do enough to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. We were offered free extra nights' stay if needed so that our safety wasn't compromised and they checked on us every day to make sure all was well. the chef in the pub even baked bread to keep everyone going when the deliveries couldn't get in. . the lodge itself, though some fittings maybe could do with a spruce up, was very well equipped and fairly comfortable. wifi and phone signal was unavailable until you walked down to the pub or reception/leisure area, but there was a phone in the lodge which could be used free of charge. Be aware though that walking to and from the lake, reception and pub to the lodges involves a fairly steep incline. . on-site facilities, though we didn't use them this time, included an indoor pool, sauna, etc. the little shop is well stocked with the basics. There's also a birds of prey centre and a kids' play area, which I dare say, during better weather, will be very popular and walks around kielder lake are very pleasant, even in the snow! . we wouldn't hesitate to go back in the future and wish to thank the staff for their excellent service.
Irene from Gateshead (02 March 2018)

As I was there during severe heavy snowfall and cold icy weather, all roads were closed, so I didn't get out far only where you could walk, but in places even that was difficult due to depth of snow. but we had a great adventure. the staff were lovely and all very helpful and friendly
Judith from North Yokshire (02 March 2018)

Staff were very helpful and could not help enough
Geraldine from Stockton-On-Tees (02 March 2018)

Had an amazing 6 days at kielder forest lodges the staff were amazing and the cabin was beautiful we stayed in lodge 34 very modern luxury 2 bed we will definitely stay here again and will be booking for next year. We were snowed in but the staff couldn't be more helpful. Stunning location and walks.
Deborah from Pontefract (02 March 2018)

Lodge was tired settee had cut in it. shower holder broke. kitchen cupboard door fell off.
Anne from Newcastle Upon Tyne (02 March 2018)

Excellent, as my visit coincided with 'beast from the east', I was well cared for by the staff during my extended stay.
Carol from Norwich (02 March 2018)

Gave 8/10 for value and overall rating due to a 20 second power cut rendering the hot tub out of action on the first night due to it tripping the power to it. . . other than that I cannot fault kielder for their service and stunning location. Otterstone lodges are quite old and could do with new windows as many wouldn't open and a rug wouldn't go amiss in the living room. Views are amazing.
Mark from Newcastle Upon Tyne (26 February 2018)

Fabulous location and very friendly staff.
Nicola from Nottingham (26 February 2018)

Excellent facilities friendly staff very comfortable and clean lodge.
Alex from Gainford Co Durham (26 February 2018)

Could not have had a more perfect long weekend. I went with my two children age 7 and 9, we swam, scooted, played in the park and then returned to our cabin and cooked our favourite food and chilled in the hot tub. The kids have made me promise we can do this every year from now on!
Katie from Manchester (26 February 2018)

Great weekend away. Lovely lodge. Kitchen fully supplied with everything you need. Milk tea and coffee on arrival. . great swimming pool even though we had to book it was never busy and clean. Great pub onsite with a soft play area for the kids is a fab idea which means we could eat/drink whilst keeping an eye on the children. Amazing setting and great staff. Will definitely come back.
Claire from Manchester (26 February 2018)

This was one of the nicest weekends I have had. the staff we amazing - especially tracey who checked us in and could not do enough for us. glass of prosecco on arrival was a lovely touch along with the scrabble in the lodges welcoming us. great place, amazing scenery and perfect lodges.
Claire (26 February 2018)

Absolutely beautiful stay in birch premier spa. Staff very helpful and friendly, lovely bar and restaurant. Lodge was immaculate.
Stephanie from Sunderland (26 February 2018)

We had a fabulous family long weekend. The lodge was stunning.
Ian from Dalkeith (26 February 2018)

Fabulous location..kids loved the sessions and swimming pool. Great staff thank you.
Karen from Yorkshire (23 February 2018)

Lovely break away in beautiful surroundings. Lovely site and staff very helpful.
Elicia from Halifax (23 February 2018)

Really want to tell you all to stay away, but that would be for selfish reasons. The location if you like country side walks is ideal. If you like modern lodges that feel private and next to nature then they will be perfect.
Christian from Sheffield (23 February 2018)

We really enjoyed the site and liked that it was so remote . the lodge was clean and modern , the indoor pool area easy to access and also very pleasant. All the staff were very help ful and the extras , archery and crossbow good value . limited mobile phone / wi-fi access but so what the walks and bike rides around the area were what we came for.
Sally from Manchester (23 February 2018)

Great place to stay it’s a bit out of the way so no phone signal but there is a phone to use in the lodge, the restaurant on site did great food and drink
Julie from Manchester (23 February 2018)

Amazing! location was fab, areas was beautiful and staff are wonderful.
Amy (23 February 2018)

Great holiday. Lodge was fantastic, very comfortable with everything you could need. Beautiful scenery which was so peaceful. The pub was lovely with a small indoor play area for the kids which was great. . . the swimming pool is small but fine for a quick swim and play. . . the only reason I gave a 9 for location and facilities is because there is no wi-fi at all, so no internet connection or mobile phone use. It actually was refreshing not to have it, made for an even more relaxing break. . would definitely recommend this park and would come back.
Sue (23 February 2018)

The holiday was excellent from arriving to leaving. We stayed in hareshaw spa cabin 31. the accommodation was exceptional. Great facilities, slippers and robes provided for the hot tub. Amazing views. the free activities were an added bonus, as was the swimming pool. good pub grub in the boat inn. There were welcome drinks on arrival and a little tin of sweets on departure. Overall it was fantastic.
Emma from Wakefield (23 February 2018)

Brilliant holiday, lovely area, staff very helpful and cleanliness of the lodge was brilliant! overall well worth the money and would highly recommend! many thanks!
Jordan from Doncaster (23 February 2018)

Was a beautiful place and the lodge was lovely. A few minor issues with the lodge but mainly only surface stuff. Would recommend for lovely peaceful family time. A place to make wonderful memories
Christopher from Bolton (23 February 2018)

We have stayed here before and it was excellent, there were some initial problems this time which took longer to resolve than I would have expected, going by our previous stay. However I wouldn't let this put me off going back
Kath from Darlington (23 February 2018)

Great holiday in a lovely location. Only problem was a lot of the attractions and activities were closed. Some lovely walks near by and the lodge was lovely. Restaurant on site served great food at a reasonable price as well!
Jessica from Doncaster (23 February 2018)

Fantastic time was had by us all.
Grant from Sheffield (23 February 2018)

Simply brilliant
Sarah from Manchester (23 February 2018)

Perfect place to relax or get back to nature the cycling was great and the restaurant served nice pub food at reasonable prices, shop on site had most necessities and lots of free activities for the kids to take part in.
Kelly from Stockport (23 February 2018)

I'm sure in season the facilities are a lot better, but the few things we wanted to do, bike hire for example, were not available because of the season.
Stuart from Sheffield (23 February 2018)

Tha aurora cabin was superb, weather wasn't the best but we were still able to use the excellent hot tub, rooms in the cabin were first class. Looking forward to a return visit. Food in the bar was excellent, and staff helpful and friendly
Trevor from Durham (19 February 2018)

Lovely away from it all setting.beautiful lodge clean and spacious.only issue was the lack of availability for most ofthe activities that were suitable for the grandchildren. We arrived on a friday and by the saturday morning all the activities had been booked for the whole weekend! would suggest you look and book these before you arrive
Nicky from Alnwick (19 February 2018)

Great cabin, very special, clean, lovely location.
Stephen from York (19 February 2018)

Kielder is a very special place, the lodge was lovely and there was everything we needed. I only have one slight problem with the lodges. We really did love to see the children out and about enjoying themselves, running around in the fresh air laughing and having a healthy good time. By the same token grannies have holidays too and I was enjoying time with my lifelong best friend. We are 50 years old and the friendship goes right back to our prams being parked next to each other. We have both worked hard and felt very lucky to be sat there on the friday night giggling in the hot tub and sharing a bottle of plonk. We were amazed when a security guard turned up telling us to keep the noise down. .(ok maybe just a tiny bit excited at the prospect of baoasting about it when we got home) really could nt fault the security guard who to be honest seemed a bit embarassed about the whole thing(we can be a tiny bit embarassing) maybe it would be an idea to have kid free zones if the parents who chain smoked in front of their kids felt that two grannies giggling in a hot tub were such a threat to their children!
Janice (19 February 2018)

Weekend stay . expectations met .
Lynne (19 February 2018)

A member of staff named arthur went above and beyond to help with an issue we had with our lodge. He even came in on his day off to try and find a solution to the problem which we really appreciated as a family. The views, walks and surroundings are second to none and the fact there's no mobile signal in most parts of kielder is a real bonus when all you want to do is spend time with the family.
Jane from Durham (16 February 2018)

We stayed in a beech premier spa lodge with hot tub. It was fabulous, very clean and well equipped. We did have some problems with the sound on the lounge tv but staff were very quick to come and sort out the problem. we used the swimming pool, sauna and steam room. My only complaint about those facilities was that the changing rooms are small and the floor was dirty as people did not take note of the signs asking them to remove their shoes before entering. We also used the table tennis and pool table in the games room. We had a lovely meal in the pub one evening. All staff were very friendly and helpful. A very relaxing break during february half-term.
Sharon (16 February 2018)

Loved every minute of our holiday, from the walking, the gym & pool to the hot tub and the attentive staff and the outstanding accommodation.
Rachel from Basildon, Essex (16 February 2018)

I love kielder however me and my partner had very little sleep the time we were there and this was due to how hard the mattresses are. I am so disappointed as I love the place but due to lack of sleep i’m not sure if I would return unless this was resolved. I can’t imagine anyone sleeping well in those beds.. the mattress is so hard
Claire from Blyth (16 February 2018)

We had a lovely restful holiday, with lots of doggie walking and chilling out. The lodge was lovely, with great facilities.
Sheena from New Mills, Derbyshire (16 February 2018)

We had a great time and the staff tom, nathan and gary were fantastic and very patient with my 4 young children in all the activites we did. . I will definitely be booking again for my family. It was the best uk holiday we have had.
Caroline from Newcastle (16 February 2018)

Brilliant holiday, immaculate lodge. Hot tub perfect. Loved the telescope, only small issue is you can’t use it because the external lights are permanently on. We had a great time don’t change a thing
Fiona from Kent (16 February 2018)

Had a lovely week here, newly refurbished lodge. Very clean, kitchen well equipped, couldn't fault it! very helpful staff at reception, will definitely go back
Anna from Barnsley (16 February 2018)

Lovely location, lodges well equipped and staff very helpful. I’d visit again!
Cathy (16 February 2018)

We absolutely loved our time spent here so much so that we have rebooked for next year. Brilliant place for a family getaway.
Laura from Scarborough (16 February 2018)

Our 3rd year at kielder, a great getaway with limited interference from phones and email. Time and space to recharge!
David from Milton Keynes (16 February 2018)

We has a great long weekend in february. the lodge was comfortable and the hot tub was a good addition for the cold evenings.
Louise (12 February 2018)

Overall, very good, chalet pleasant, staff friendly and helpful, view and hot tub smashing. Minor problems, which we reported on leaving, temperature control problem with the shower and amazingly blunt kitchen knives; kitchen generally well equipped but take a knife.
Catherine from Morpeth (12 February 2018)

Beautiful lodge in stunning surroundings
Gill from Stockton On Tees (12 February 2018)

Great lodge well equipped very clean however park is a little difficult to locate
Ronald (12 February 2018)

My friend and I took a short break with kids (2 x 15 yrs + 1 x 12 yrs) - we chose the tynedale spa lodge with hot tub. With one small exception (they really need to invest in power showers) everything was wonderful. . . the lodge was very well equipped and the hot tub cleaned every day - amazing! facilities at the park were great and the staff were probably the most helpful I have ever encountered. On site shop and restaurant were great - and reasonably priced.
Angela (12 February 2018)

Really lovely location. Facilities on site were great and lots of options of activities. great that so many were included in the price, or not too expensive. Communication not always great when activities cancelled and some incorrect information / inconsistencies between written guides and verbal instructions e.g. Meeting point.
Lynsey (09 February 2018)

We visited in the first week of feb when a lot of activities were yet to open, but this did not spoil the holiday in any way (other than publics loos around the lake not being open!). the site is well kept and the lodge we stayed in was amazing with every extra taken care of. The hot tubs could possibly do with being better hidden- we were next to the entrance road, but otherwise it was fantastic(especially in the snow). we visited the site bar on 2 nights, the walk there and back was a little tricky as there are no lights on the main driveway down-so take a torch!!, but the food was excellent on both occasions. Tried to book some massages but it was booked up in minutes from arrival !. one party did decide they wanted to share their music with the whole site- but you will always find someone less considerate than most wherever you go!. a visit to the birds of prey centre is a must- and its on site so no excuses !. some nice touches included the free drinks and sweets for the journey home
Andrew from Bolton (09 February 2018)

Our lodge had everything you could need, fully supplied kitchen, beautiful bedrooms and living area. It was secluded for the hot tub and had picture postcard views.the site is beautiful and well looked after with lots to do, very helpful friendly staff . a lovely restaurant on site and well priced meals , very tasty . overall a lovely place with a beautiful lodge .
Linda from Sunderland (09 February 2018)

Everything you need in lodge. Lovely and peaceful. Can walk or cycle for miles or just chill . pub and restaurant great. All the staff friendly and helpful
Kathleen from Cullercoats (09 February 2018)

Lovely lodge in a wonderful location. All staff on the site were really friendly and very helpful. We will definitely be returning.
Michael from Rugeley (09 February 2018)

From start to finish we had a wonderful time at keilder waterside. The staff were helpful and friendly , even brought a balloon and bottle of wine to our beautiful lodge on the morning of my husbands birthday. Loved the pool with its sauna and steam . room and the walks around the waterside were lovely and the stunning scenery took your breath away.
Doreen (09 February 2018)

Superb.. very clean and modern..
Phil (09 February 2018)

Fabulous holiday. Just marred by power cuts on the day before we left meaning we were unable to use the whirlpool bath
Angela (09 February 2018)

John (05 February 2018)

Stayed in the new beech lodges - top notch! we arrived on a dark and cold friday evening and the lights were on; the heating and fire were on; the tv was on and there was milk in the fridge. Food is reasonably priced and tasty. The service was second to none. Will definitely go back..

Would love to return again soon in the near future. Thankyou & well done
Rebecca from Sunderland (05 February 2018)

Had a lovely relaxing time. Definitely recommend and we will be returning. . we loved the lodge. Ash premier. . parks were fantastic for the kids. Sadly the weather prevented them going. But expected at this time of year
Alison (05 February 2018)

Had a fantastic week end in sheer luxury didn’t want to come home and can I just say the lad who does the activities was amazing tom was his name
Richard from Sunderland (05 February 2018)

Very isolated and peaceful
David from Cramlington (03 January 2018)

We had the most fantastic time. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I wish we could've stayed longer
Victoria from Hexham (03 January 2018)

Two couples decided to to something different for new year, so we picked keilder. Had a fabulous three night holiday taking in new year's eve. Waterside put on a free new year's eve party which was excellent and the food was amazing, not what we expected. The hot tub puts extra expenditure on the price of the lodge, but well worth it. You can't beat being in hot water on a freezing cold night looking up at the stars with a glass of wine to enjoy! amazing three day holiday, would definitely recommend to anyone considering something different for a new year break.
Merv from Ingleby Barwick (02 January 2018)

Fantastic holiday beautiful location great people, the only down side was all pathways were very muddy from one lodge to the other, need more walkway
Jane from Leicestershire (02 January 2018)

Beautiful place and all your needs taken care of. We had a great time and can’t wait to go back.
Jayne from Wigan (02 January 2018)
