No info given on check in about passes, booking activities or ferry tickets. When we tried to book an activity 25 mins before start energy though the next days session was cancelled for no reason which meant missing it entirely stick weren't allowed to book for the sake 5 mind-shocking customer service!
Donna from Aberdeen (15 April 2018)

Very clean and cosy lodge, great views, lots to do
Amanda from Glasgow (14 April 2018)

Disappointing that despite being told that it’s a 4pm check-in(waste of a day in my opinion), it was 4.45pm before we got the keys to our lodge - no apology or compensation given. . . paid for super wifi(which is advertised everywhere on site) but ended up getting a refund as it didn’t work. . . cleanliness of lodge could have been better. . overall, we enjoyed the break.
Fiona from Glasgow (13 April 2018)

Plenty to keep the kids occupied. the soft play is excellent and so reasonably priced. Pool was a good size, great that kids can take in balls, diving weights etc. evening entertainment was great for both kids and adults alike. lodge was clean & well equiped. Go active desk and staff were really good, however at £10 per activity this can work out very expensive if you have more than one child
Gail from Airdrie (13 April 2018)

Lovely place! fantastic staff who are extremely helpful, great facilities including large swimming pool which was perfect for our toddler to enjoy. Great value for money in amazing surroundings. Would definitely recommend.
Claire from Bradford (09 April 2018)

Caravan was lovely very happy with caravan. However staff very unapproachabke and unfriendly
Sarah (09 April 2018)

This was the worst holiday that we have spent with our grandchildren. . . points to note :-. . on arrival the chalet was not ready until 1 hour after arrival time. . the chalet was not as clean as expected. . I brought this to the attention of the reception staff, pictures were provided for the management to deal with. the reception staff offered to send the housekeeping to deal with the issue, I refused as I felt happier doing it myself .no acknowledgement from the manager which was disappointing . . . the daytime programme was also disappointing I have three girls 5, 8 and 12 I could not book anything for them as it was fully booked for the whole week. . I feel it was not value for money as the things that were available had to be paid for.( soft play. . I also feel the bar prices are " extortionate " 2 ciders £10.40p I understand you have to make a profit but the mark up on 2 ciders purchase price in local shop £3.34 was excessive. The only place we could take the girls was closed for a wrestling match, which also excluded them from the outdoor play area this was at 2 pm and left us nowhere to go. . very poorly organised. . why you think everyone wants to see wrestling is beyond belief. We will never use you again and never recommend this camp site!!!. . this holiday left with the feeling that we were not catered for in anyway, we left the site feeling we had been ripped off.
Isabella from Livingston (06 April 2018)

I took my three foster children to hunters quay. The boys who were 16 and 17 years old enjoyed swimming, playing pool and clay pigeon shooting nearby. The 7year old girl loved the soft play, outdoor climbing area, swimming on site and in dunoon. The entertainment at night was excellent both for the kids and myself, a very relaxing holiday in beautiful surroundings!
Marian from Greenock (06 April 2018)

Great for a short break and highly recommend for a short break. not enough around dunoon unfortunately to keep a young family occupied for a full week or more. We have been several times to hq and noticed the wifi was working for first time this year and it was very good. Makes a big difference with young family. Another gripe feel you need another place for people to go eat. Even a burger king or subway or kfc on site. Saw them at other holiday sites and makes a difference. Thanks
Chris from Airdrie (02 April 2018)

The place was in a nice area, but there is not much to do in the area, but catching the local ferry is great way of getting around and is good value if you buy the tickets from reception. The hot tub was great and the staff came daily to check everything was okay.
Patrick from Nottingham (30 March 2018)

We spent a fantastic long weekend at hunters quay - the accommodation was perfect for us, the facilities were lovely and extremely clean and well maintained and the staff could not have been more friendly. We can’t wait to go back again.
Ainsley from Hunters Quay (26 March 2018)

Fabulous break for myself and two friends. Beautiful location. Excellent facilities although we didn’t use them!! b
Fiona from Motherwell (26 March 2018)

Had a fantastic stay here with my son, partner and dog. Friday to monday. . only problem we had was the fridge freezer didn’t work, wasn’t a major disaster as was only for weekend. The saturday the facilities where all closed because of a burst water pipe i’m lead to believe. Son was heartbroken not to go to entertainment venue but suppose these things are not meant.
Michaela from Glasgow (12 March 2018)

As there wasn’t many people there bar was shut at 9.30. . half of the machines wasn’t working in the arcade. . swimming pool was very basic.
Confirmed Holidaymaker (05 March 2018)

Brilliant holiday . visit soon.
Louise from Balloch (16 February 2018)

Great holiday! good standard accommodation, excellent facilities and lovely surrounding area! only let down was the fact our tv in the caravan was broken on the saturday and wasn't fixed until the sunday.
Louise from Airdrie (12 February 2018)

Lodge was great and both clean and warm. Hot tub was great. Arrived later in the evening and only criticism was signage to find lodge was difficult to follow.
Steven from Prestwick (29 January 2018)

Nice swimming pool, a lot of games machines not working, lodges could do with updating but over all nice park.
Gemma from Lochgilphead (29 January 2018)

I was really dissapointef that the log cabins werenweren't dressed for christmas.we went to a log cabin for new year 2016 and it had a christmas tree up.the table was set and we got a little hamper.i feel cheated out of christmas this year
Sheila from Tyne And Wear (04 January 2018)

Food on the 2nd january was very poor it looked like they were trying to use up what they had left over before shutting down. Poor value for money, this is the first time in our many visits we have been disappointed. Hopefully it was a one of.
Peter from Fort William (03 January 2018)

The staff at hunters quay were fantastic. Probably the nicest staff we have dealt with when on holiday. They are a credit to the argyll holiday company.
Emily from Edinburgh (03 January 2018)

We spent a week during the christmas holidays, it was a fantastic family vacation, a relaxing atmosphere away from the everyday life. We had lots of fun in the complex (swimming pools, sauna, soft play area, go active activities) and in the surrounding area (hiking at the benmore botanic garden).
Mihail from Reading (29 December 2017)

Absolutely loved it from the moment I arrived. The staff were so helpful and welcoming. The site is lovely and caravans very clean and well maintained. I wouldnt hesitate to return.
Judi from Brierley Hill (29 December 2017)

Clean & comfortable- staff very helpful and pleasant. Good activities for children.
Kathleen from Lochgilphead (26 December 2017)

The log cabin was almost perfect.the only negative is the area on entry to the cabin. . there should be a shoe rack, and more hangers for coats and jackets, there is adequate . area to put these suggestions in place. Also when walking back to cabin, the roads are treacherous when icy, no salt put down.
Martin from Glasgow (27 November 2017)

First class accommodation. The staff are excellent we had a problem with our hot tub and it could not of been handled any better from the maintenance team to the park manager everyone was very helpful and pleasant. Only fault was a lot of the games where broken not working but everything else about the park is first class.
Michael from Coatbridge (20 November 2017)

Had a great time, we had a lodge, it was very basic but spotlessly clean. . the reception staff were very welcoming on our arrival, the animation team were great with the kids. We would definitely return.
Carol from Falkirk (13 November 2017)

Two days in a row my food was forgotten about in the under staffed restaurant , food never arrived the second day for me while my family was busy eating. We cut our weekend short by one night as we were so annoyed by it after paying lots to stay! also waiting from the sunday until the thursday to get the authorised hold deposit taken off is unacceptable!!!
Scott from Edinburgh (13 November 2017)

We stayed at hunters quay at the beginning of november, it was very quiet so can't comment on how the place is during summer. We found the site to be very clean and well kept, there were not that many people there due to it not being local school holidays but the leisure centre was open every day and we used the pool daily. Our daughter loved the heated 30m pool, my and my wife also enjoyed swimming in the pool. I used the excellent gym a couple of times and the sauna was nice and hot. The changing room is kept very clean and I saw the pool staff, cleaning the tiles in the shower area during times when the pool was being used by kids in the giant water ball (my daughter enjoyed this activity too). we had a drink in the bar/restaurant a couple of times. Warm and pleasant environment, we never ate there so can't comment on the food. . the staff at reception, in the leisure centre and in the bar were very nice and friendly. My wife and daughter chatted to the entertainment guys most days and they were lovely, giving us useful tips on where to visit in the area. Our static caravan was about a 100 yards from the centre and was new in 2017, the unit was spotlessly clean and pleasantly warm. We had our large dog with us and the floor surfaces were perfect for him. The site is very large, with wooded areas which are great for walking the dog or just getting some exercise. All in all we really enjoyed our stay and would happily go again.
Brian from Rhayader, Powys (03 November 2017)

Great lodge, oak premier, hot tub was fab. Would defo recommend. Bit quiet after half term but didn't have too much of a bearing on what we did. We've booked to go to another site. Thanks!
Laura from Clitheroe (03 November 2017)

Lodges were very small, not very clean poor facilities inside the lodges. We booked this park for the children's activities which they packed away 3 days after our arrival leaving us with very little to do. Night life was very poor.
Kim (03 November 2017)

I don't understand why utility costs were separate. Just include these in the price so it is transparent.
Claire from Hitchin (30 October 2017)

This is advertised as pet friendly, but it isn't - more like moderately pet tolerant. dogs are allowed in certain cabins, but in main facilities only in the corridor. if you want a meal or a drink you had to sit at a coffee table in the hall and restaurant/bar is 100 steps away. food was also inedible!. . don't advertise being dog friendly if you aren't!. . made to feel like second class citizens, and certainly didn't feel welcome.
Susan from Aberdeen (30 October 2017)

Nice escape for the business of life.. though my kids did have a slight issue about wi-fi . 10, 13 years old.
Simon from Edinburgh (27 October 2017)

We really had great holiday.
Deepti (27 October 2017)

Was great for a short break with little ones..
Stuart from Dunfermline (20 October 2017)

Good facilities, clean cabin. Caters well for kids. Entertainment staff are great.
Jennifer from Glasgow (20 October 2017)

Had a couple of faults with caravan that was swiftly fixed
James (20 October 2017)

What a great set up, plenty to do regardless of weather. nice food, friendly staff, reasonably priced and nice clean facilities. . stayed in the juna caravan with our dog. fully central heated and nice and modern. . my son made lots of friends and had a rare time!
Teresa from Aberdeen (20 October 2017)

I reported at the end of the holiday the poor quality of the caravan we stayed in at reception when I checked out but received no feedback. There were stains all over the cushions when we arrived that would have been visible to staff prior to allocating to us. I do not think it is acceptable for the price paid to think thus was okay to allocate to us & we are now reconsidering booking the luxury accommodation with hot tubs for my friend & our daughters 21st birthdays due to this.
Mark from Dunfermline (20 October 2017)

Lodge was great . facilities good and never felt too busy even though it was half term
James from Stewarton (20 October 2017)

This was our second visit and it won't be our last. We have always had a great time at hunters quay.
Matthew from Airdrie. North Lanarkshire. (16 October 2017)

Activities were very expensive. Entertainment team were fab tho! lodge in desperate need of updating.
Rebecca from Kirkcaldy (13 October 2017)

We enjoyed our stay because we just came for a few days to take the kids swimming and on their bikes and take in the surroundings. the caravan was excellent and well equipped. . we didn't particulary like spending time at the centre, except for the swimming pool. the pool was great for our wee ones, because they could swim on the shallower pool and still touch the bottom. We ate at hunter's bar once and found it not great. the service was polite but it was just a bit smelly and the food was greasy - the batter on my fish and chips was just mush underneath. I find this very typical of these kinds of family bars all over scotland unfortunately. people's expectations just don't seem to be very high! . we found the softplay/ games room area quite oppressive - very little natural light and overcrowded with games machines and cafe tables. our kids love soft play but were not so keen on this because the slide was way too steep and the 4 year old hurt himself the first time he came down. usually they are running up and down over and over but didn't show much enthusiasm here. our 1 year old just kept disappearing round the back of it where some discarded bits and pieces of toys seemed to be - I couldn't tell if they were meant to be part of the play equipment because they were half assembled. We thought there was far too much emphasis on games machines and not enough attention to detail on more wholesome kids activities: the kids outdoor play area was a bit sad. though there had obviously been a lot of effort put into building it in solid wood, but the dull green paint made you feel like you are spending time in the breakout yard of a penitentiary, rather than in a play park. and there wasn't enough there for very wee ones to enjoy. . the reception service was fine though (we visited off-peak), and the site was clean and tidy. a good holiday can be had here.
Ailsa (09 October 2017)

We had a lovely family break. The caravan was spotless and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
Rhona from Glasgow (06 October 2017)

The only objection I had was that the play area inside which was at the back of hall and having to pass gambling machines. prices of coffees and soft drinks too expensive, fish and chips not good. The chalet was very good at the very back of site and very private with great view lime 7. despite the fridge freezer not working and my frozen food defrosting, when reported very quick action was taken.
Veronica from Glasgow (25 September 2017)

Great caravan, modern, clean, utensils good as new. Entertainment for kids good. Lovely setting & views. Can be a busy or relaxing holiday, whatever your choose. Would definately go back.
Angela from Glasgow (25 September 2017)

Reception wasn't to good
Thomas (25 September 2017)

Lodge was totally lush, staff were ace. Gutted at the neighbours we had, it ruined our weekend. The staff were great at managing situation but disapointed they did not move us or move the problem lodge. A partial refund was ok, would love to go back but need to thing about it, especially if that is the type of people the site attract.
Emily from Livingston (18 September 2017)

Very enjoyable holiday with good food and facilities and excellent staff especially the entertainment team of matt and debbie
Stephen from Wickford Essex (16 September 2017)

I have been a regular annual visitor to this site since it opened. I enjoy the location and the facilities there. The site is very well maintained and I feel offers real value for money. I hope to continue to return for many years to come.
Peter from Whitchurch (16 September 2017)

Enjoyed it that much we booked another weekend
William from Westburn Cambuslang G727sd (11 September 2017)

Stayed there 11 years ago, accommodation was refurbished plus the hot tub. Enjoyed it but no free wifi in the lodges is a major disappointment. Stayed at dozens of lodges with hot tubs and never had to pay a £250 security. Also gas/electric is normally in the price. Are these argile holidayisms?
Martyn from Richmond, N Yorks (09 September 2017)

Accommodation was very good stayed in a rowan lodge. onsite restaurant was good but a bit pricey. swimming and gym facilities very good
Steven from Mid Calder (08 September 2017)

We had a lovely relaxing 5 days and having the wet room caravan was a bonus as my husband has limited mobility.
Gina from Kilsyth (08 September 2017)

Great place to stay, went with 4 of my friends. The caravan was lovely we stayed in a 6 berth with a small but nice patio and really good facilities. The food at the restraunt was great and there was a games room with a couple pool tables which I also enjoyed. The only downside was the bar was a little pricey for drink. Would definitely recommend.
Andrew (04 September 2017)

We have had a holiday in dunoon before staying at another site but we thought we would give hunters quay a try this time. the lodge with hot tub was faultless and the facilities were great for kids. My grandchildren loved the pool and we liked having something to do on rainy days. . the staff were very helpful, nothing was a bother to them. We would definitely return.
Maureen from Sunderland (04 September 2017)

Excellent place really beautiful deffo go again
Ian from Stoke On Trent (04 September 2017)

Good setting, a bit expensive though
Alan from Irvine (04 September 2017)

Relaxing holiday..the lodge was clean and met all our needs.,got it on a very good price too on a school holiday time!!.very accomodating staff and helpful (we arrived early) and had let us checked in early.would like to come back again
Rachelle from Birmingham (01 September 2017)

Great place, ok caravan except it could have been cleaner on arrival. Swimming pool was brilliant and staff friendly. The site was in a beautiful location, . however there were a few niggles. The hunters bar was grim, all you could smell when you . were near to it was the smell of frying. Why do these places think everyone wants burgers and chips? also the inside play area was great, but everywhere needed a good clean. The seats around the play area were badly soiled - horrible. Overall a great setting but let down by the food and cleanliness
Heather from Kendal (01 September 2017)

The location is absolutely fantastic, with fabulous sites and beautiful views to be found around every bend. hunters quay itself is wonderfully maintained and our static home was spotless. so far so good, with score of 10/10. however, on the negative side, the shop wasn't always accessible when needed, many of the kids amusements in the arcade were not working, but above all price of activities was shockingly expensive. for example, to try the inflated pool spheres would have cost £5.00 for five minutes. you're have to be mad. also, whilst the pool was fabulous and the pool staff friendly and helpful, there was so many pool rules, not all of which are indicated in the many pool safety notices, that my older kids felt paralysed whilst trying to have fun. all in all though, what a stunning location.
Andrew from Newcastle Upon Tyne (01 September 2017)

Lovely part of scotland, we had a limited view from our lodge but our sons view was just perfect. Unfortunately the children's outdoor play area was sectioned off due to maintenance. Personally I think the archery was far too long and over priced. But on the plus side all staff we had contact with were excellent.
Sallyann from Essex (01 September 2017)

Stunning location, beautiful lodges didn't want to come home will definitely be returning
Shannie from Essex (01 September 2017)

Great time with the grandchildren looking to go back 2018.
Shaun from Newcastle-Upon-Tyne (01 September 2017)

Stopped in lodge with hottub, amazing :) we had a problem with the shower reported it and it was sorted within the hour, staff was lovely, helpful and jolly in all areas we used all the facilities could only say night time entrainment was average but there was not a lot of people whom went so might just if been the atmosphere, my son was disappointed that the karaoke was not done even though it was advertised but that could of been a blessing in disguise, thankyou.
Joanne from Lancadter (01 September 2017)

Great for family holiday and as a single parent I found it great value and plenty to keep my son happy and occupied. The staff were friendly and very helpful.
Sharron from Chorley (21 August 2017)

The staff were brilliantly helpful and friendly and made us feel very welcome. The range of activities was great for all the family.
Emma (21 August 2017)

Excellent place to stay! amazing pool and sauna for rainy days. Beautiful trips on door step for sunny days. Plenty to keep kids happy. Very serene and clean
Monica (19 August 2017)

The site is nice enough and the caravans are good as well. The location is just not the greatest, I booked this fairly last minute and knew that there's not much going on in dunoon but for the price to get away for a few days I couldn't argue. Wifi in the caravans and maybe some satellite channels wouldn't go amiss, even if it meant paying at reception. . the pool was a good size but during the summer holidays why not have the inflatables in there every morning? was a nice touch having them. Felt the bar was quite expensive, would be more likely to have stayed had a few more drinks if it was more reasonably priced. Overall it's not a bad place, location just wasn't for me. The staff were great, always friendly and helpful.
Cory from Glasgow (18 August 2017)

A beautiful setting surrounded by amazing scenery, fantastic lodge that was very well equipped, great value as we booked when there was an offer on, bar and restaurant were very nice and all the staff were lovely and friendly
Samantha (18 August 2017)

The accommodation was musty and pet hair. The onsite restaurant was poor quality. The kids activities were mixed with some staff not engaged in helping the kids to enjoy the experience. Big thumbs up to the archery and the staff member we had two both enjoy. The pool facilities were good and clean. The general park, although a little tired were well maintained although the roads around the lodges needed work to fill pot holes and general fatigue. The evening entertainment was dated and the dancing squirrel stayed on the stage not interacting, the games were poorly organised and the space to small to accommodate the games being played.
Andrew from Aberdeen (18 August 2017)

Great holiday. let down was availability of cycles to hire. Chose this park as go active plus advertising cycle hire which was why we booked. no childrens bikes available on the park! so the whole family couldn't go cycling. Very disappointing.
Caron (18 August 2017)

Had a lovely short break with my daughter. Unfortunately rained the full 5 days which meant we didn't get to explore the surroundings as much as we had hoped. Tried archery and had great fun. Wee girl loved swimming pool. Changing room too warm. Evening entertainment team very friendly and enthusiastic and made huge effort to make nights fun. Restaurant food very good. Arcade area a bit tired and shabby looking.
Sara from Falkirk (18 August 2017)

Great experience, staff are wonderful.
George (18 August 2017)

Very nice location, with beautiful surrounding scenery over land and sea. the site is clean and well maintained. Adequately lit at night for walking. The caravan was absolutely fine. Fresh, clean, good heating system, and a good shower . roomy enough. . the staff were all helpful, friendly and hard working. the arcade and indoor play areas were ok, though lacking a bit of tlc to be honest. The entertainment was ok, nothing great. The restaurant was fine enough, again with nice staff. . . disappointed with the daily charge for electricity given the cost of the week's stay, but I was aware of it beforehand as an additional cost. . . there was public transport nearby. . it was nice and quiet later at night. A nice family friendly place. Yip, all fine.
Ellie from Tain (14 August 2017)

I thought this time round I spent more money but with less facilities. My friend also booked but through argyle holidays, she didn't need to pay for gas and electricity, where as I had to pay extra. Also our caravan was missing utensils and glasses which she had in her caravan. I thought the table area in our caravan was very small for 5 people never mind 6! I was disappointed that I had to either pay extra for internet access or have none at all. . the park itself was lovely and as expected. The pool was acceptable however the changing rooms could have done with a deep clean. There was a twix wrapper on the poolside for the full weekend. . I do like hunters quay and have been before. We will. Probably come again
Paul (14 August 2017)

Would return to this park as it was superb. Staff were all friendly and welcoming. Lodge with hot tub was excellent.
Alexander from Ayrshire (14 August 2017)

Great caravan park clean and tidy staff very pleasant and helpful the down side were the activities were expensive and the activities times were all around mid day when families are out would be better early or around late afternoon when families return. no play areas for the children around the caravans only small outdoor play area attached to main reception unable to play ball or just let off steam near the vans
Margot from Dewsbury (12 August 2017)

Food was rather expensive for the quality and quantity but that seemed to be a regional problem
George (12 August 2017)

Very helpful staff. Lodge clean and good.
Gill from Liverpool (12 August 2017)

As for the holiday village it was very nice and clean and staff was really helpful as for the area it's very lovely place with breathtaking natural beauty
Fatih from London (11 August 2017)

Lovely locaction. The activities were very expensive compared to other active parks. . we didnt like the fact that most of the activities were in the hall which is also used for everything else as well. We felt that there should have been a separate building for things like badminton, climbing wall etc.
Caroline from Ellon (11 August 2017)

There was a member of the restaurant staff who was exceptional feedback given to reception on checking out.
Melanie from Northallerton (11 August 2017)

Lovely time. Born and brought up in hunters quay. nice to go back.
Margaret from Boston Lincolnshire (07 August 2017)

Disappointed to have to pay for the children to use the soft play facilities in the club house. . constantly woken up at night by cars driving along the gravel paths behind the caravans. Staff very helpful and pleasant. Caravan clean and high quality.
Customer 86 from Wareham (07 August 2017)

Lovely location. Caravan very clean and well equipped. On site restaurant wasn't great. Had to send burger back twice as stone cold bacon put in. Then no cheese. Then no onion rings. Was over £12! staff pretty clueless here but good elsewhere on the park.
Christina from Livingston (07 August 2017)

We loved it here. The location was beautiful and there was lots to do on site.
Claire from Telford (05 August 2017)

Best caravan site we have been to.
Kathleen from Hermon (05 August 2017)

Overall it was good, but kids activities, food and beverage are way overpriced for what they are. . also a bit disappointed with check in and out times. Was told on site we booked that you were in at 3, out at 11. We were in a lodge, and turns out it's 4 and 10 for these. Meant we had to hang around for over an hour when we got there, and had to rush in morning to get out. . also, one of the entertainment staff were extremely rude and slammed a door in my face when I queried why my a half hour activity we paid for two kids only lasted 10 minutes because she was 20 minutes late in turning up.
Grant from Livingston (04 August 2017)

We all had a fantastic four night break, this was possible due to the excellent accommodation and facilities at hunters quay. the staff in general were very helpful and attendant to our needs. we wil definetley be back.
Jeannie from Monifieth, Dundee (04 August 2017)

Lovely holiday, beautiful location and well run, clean site. Food and drink expensive but no different to other similar places i've been too
Lyn from Cumbria (04 August 2017)

Superb, great lodge, very comfortable and very peaceful.
Marion from Greenock (04 August 2017)

Had a great weekend. Caravan spotless. My only complaint would our kids were age 6 felt there could have been more for that age group most of activities started from age 7 that they would like to have participated in.
Ellen from East Kilbride (31 July 2017)

Loved it here, wish the evening entertainment was a bit better though. Not the best with all the background noise from machines in the arcades . will definitely go back though.
Iain (29 July 2017)

Accommodation excellent and very clean. Swimming pool very dirty and over crowded. Local town very run down.
Morten from Fife (28 July 2017)

Had a great holiday at hunters quay. Was disappointed with the lodge accommodation, it needs upgraded and there should be some lodges where people are not allowed to take pets; our lodge had a lot of animal hair on carpet and sofas. Site was great with plenty for families to do.
Alan from Armadale (28 July 2017)

Great holiday, will be back.
Gary from Montrose (28 July 2017)

We've had a great stay at hunters quay (mum, dad 2 boys 10 & 12). I paid extra to over look the loch and have a hot tub and it was well worth it plus you had more space around the cabins! the restaurant and food was very good but could be on the expensive side. the only point I would make in the cabin was, the sofas were really uncomfortable and the tv was too high on the wall, so by the end of the week we had bad necks from looking up to watch the tv! other than that the cabin was very well equipped and comfortable. we feel it was a little over-priced for a self-catering holiday, especially when you have to pay the energy tariff as well. we wouldn't go there again but only because we have exhausted the area and have done and seen what we wanted to do (we felt there wasn't much to do/see in the way of tourist attractions but there are plenty of excellent walks.
Christine from Doncaster (24 July 2017)

Really enjoyed my break away , accommodation was modern and well looked after .
Gary from Pa5 0Pb (24 July 2017)

We had a fab time on our stay. The hot tub lodge was lovely and spacious. We never used any facilities on site as we went in the town on the saturday and the hot tub kept us amused. Would come back any time. Thinking of coming back at winter time
Tracy from Port Glasgow (24 July 2017)

Great accommodation, great facilities. Only wish the bar prices were realistic
Trevor from Edinburgh (22 July 2017)

Amazing ,kids loved it
John from Greenock (21 July 2017)

Very clean and new caravan with comfy beds. Lovely view and although a big park, loads of space and didn't feel that we were all packed in. Loads of space to walk our dog too. Well equipped kitchen. Only small complaint about the caravan ( and same for all caravans we've stayed in) is the beds in the twin room are very narrow. Didn't spend a lot of time in the large clubhouse, but seemed to have lots to do. Probably could do with a bit of updating in places. The archery was enjoyed by my husband and 12 year old daughter.
Sarah from Beith (17 July 2017)

Log cabin was really lovely had a very enjoyable stay
Linda from Haddington (15 July 2017)

Not a good experience, after travelling for more than 8 hours the lodge was not ready, when I enquired how long it would take the receptionist said she felt sorry for the cleaning staff who started work at 8am. I'd been on the road since 6am with a disabled child and had paid for my holiday, this was not the answer I expected. Our lodge was situated next to another that had 3 workmen staying in it, they drank and smoked drugs at night and swore loudly in the earshot of my son, when I complained the reception said they's speak to the occupants - the next day it was even louder. The lodge the other side was being worked on and there was vans either revving up in front of the lodge or parked right outside spoiling the view and impinging on our privacy to use the hot tub. The facilities were of low quality and there was no wifi in range even though we had paid for it - overall a very bad experience for a lot of money
Bronwen (14 July 2017)

Had a lovely holiday, only down side having to pay £5 per day extra to cover electric and heating. the kids entertainment room/hall was ok but a bit cramped because the main entertainment was being shown in there. The other lounge was nice if only they opened the bar to save you having to go into the hall. Food was nice, swimming pool was clean and kids enjoyed it.
Valerie (14 July 2017)

Didn't like the set up in the big hall for entertainment too big and distracting with arcade games
Maureen from Paisley (14 July 2017)

Actual lodge was nice and the location lovely.
Julie from Motherwell (14 July 2017)

An excellent location with friendly staff
John from Southhampton (14 July 2017)

Great family holiday with lots to do whatever the weather.
Patrick from Airdrie (10 July 2017)

Nice clean lodge. Shower pressure low. No gate on balcony.
Jennifer from East Kilbride (10 July 2017)

The lodge was absolutely gorgeous as were the views and surrounding areas. The staff were helpful but our first morning in the restaurant was not a fantastic experience. We had to ask twice for our toast which was included as part of the breakfast meals. The waiter kept forgetting and we got the toast after our breakfast was finished. There were no other issues in the restaurant however. The one issue I had was that we paid alot of money for the lodge for the week and still had to pay for all the activities (other than the pool) which I feel were largely overpriced. Overall we enjoyed the holiday.
Lisa from Fife (10 July 2017)

Good facilities, friendly helpful staff. Caravan was spacious, had a slight problem with the linen in one bedroom on arrival but it was quickly sorted out.
Gillian from Renfrewshire (10 July 2017)

Nice place, been 2 years in a row and may go back in future. Lodges are nice and park well kept. Reasonable activities for kids too. Restaurant serves nice food at dinner time, but was disappointed with the breakfast. Staff are friendly.
Stuart from Bathgate (07 July 2017)

Excellent location and facilities
Robin (07 July 2017)

Very clean and comfortable accommodation. Kids entertainment great and kids had a ball. Food was lovely with a great choice for everyone.
Hazel from Glasgow (30 June 2017)

The jura premier caravan was fantastic. With exceptional facilities. However our stay was somewhat spoilt by the strange arrangement of allowing workmen/builders to mix along with holiday makers. The guys in the next van left there door open late at night. And all you could hear was loud voices. So unable to get to sleep till 11pm or 1.30pm some nights, even with earplugs. why cant these guys be put in a different area away from the people who come on holiday to relax in piece. On the plus side all the staff on site were friendly and polite. And the surrounding area was very nice. In particular blairmore jetty for mackerel fishing. Half an hour from the site.the bar and eating area were very nice, but the prices were a bit ott however what we had was well presented and tasty. And again all the staff were very helpful and friendly, with particular thanks to charlene who managed to obtain a smaller portioned meal for my wife. When we visit hunters quay again we would try to book the only disabled access caravan, and hope that we would get a more relaxing stay
Stephen from North Yorkshire (26 June 2017)

Lovely holiday. Beautiful surroundings. Loved staying a this park. . swimming pool could do with better facilities for children like a slide and maybe some water features. . overall enjoyed our stay and would come back.
Charlotte from West Sussex (24 June 2017)

Good facilities friendly staff and cracking view
Chris from Glasgow (19 June 2017)

First time at hunter's quay - will most certainly return
Phillip from Renfrew (16 June 2017)

We had an amazing few days at hunters quay this month. We stayed in a log cabin which was comfortable and clean. surrounding areas were beautiful. A lovely quiet relaxing time
Brenda from Cambuslang Glasgow (05 June 2017)

With regards to the bar and grill, service was slow although not particularly busy, and incorrect items were delivered (both food and drink), some items tasted like freezer food especially the chips which appeared and tasted like a low cost oven version. So although room for improvement it was all edible, the staff were polite and friendly and it is set in glorious surroundings.
Colin from Carlisle (02 June 2017)

Got a really good last minute deal for the bank holiday weekend. Stayed in the rowan comfort lodge 4. Well-equipped and clean. . . facilities at park very good. 2 swimming pools, good entertainment, shop, bar and restaurant. also fish and chip van. . would certainly go back again.
Craig from Glasgow (29 May 2017)

You should make caravans available that have not had pets in as my daughter has an allergy to pet hair even after it has been cleaned. towels should be made available to rent. Change the gravel road to tarmac it is so noisy (on the jura caravans)
Paul (29 May 2017)

Wonderful family holiday
Lynsey from Port Glasgoe (29 May 2017)

A peaceful site with good facilities and friendly helpful staff. . apart from the bars being overpriced there is nothing negative to say about this park
Kenneth from Dunfermline (27 May 2017)

Excellent location and good clean accommodation
George from Bonnyrigg (22 May 2017)

Excellent staff, service and wonderful lodge. Went early in season and it was very easy to use the facilities.
Derek from Glenrothes, Fife. (22 May 2017)

The lodge was immaculately clean and very comfortable, some of the facilities (pool and snooker tables) need upgrading. As I was with my 2 teenage sons the entertainment was rather limited and pool/snooker were where we spent considerable time.
Donald from Ayr (22 May 2017)

I was at hunters quay holiday village supporting a gentleman for his annual break. The caravan allocated to us was modern, clean and very well equipped, it was well located too within the park. staff in the leisure centre were very accommodating and helpful and took the time to come and speak to my client, he was also thrilled that he got to meet rusty and had his picture taken with him. Over all we had a great time and will be using the park again in the future. We have a gentleman using the new disabled access caravan next week and this is opening up new holiday experience for the people we support. . . many thanks
Linda from Bridge Of Weir (20 May 2017)

Beautiful grounds, ideal for the dog. Caravan adequate with no personal touches such as pictures staff look glum and when asked do not understand question.e.g. Does the shop sell women's swim costumes or, this one to helen, what time are the buses? answer 'don't know' then read the timetable incorrectly. Shop staff ' anyone handed in a man's silver ring? girl with a vacant face and apparent inability to talk just shook her head, and the adult male just said no. Are they all that bored? dunoon town was too small for our needs and we spent time in the forest park and small towns/villages which was absolutely glorious, but then this had nothing to do with hunters quay.
David from Edinburgh (20 May 2017)

Excellent site, beautiful surroundings. The bar and restaurant staff were friendly and helpful, as were the receptionists. It was also very convenient having a local shop and chippy on site. I'd recommend this site to anyone.
Michael from Berwick Upon Tweed (19 May 2017)

My husband, my 2 year old daughter and I had a really good time at hunters quay, because we booked during term time - it was very quiet, almost too quiet and therefore, the entertainment could have been better - however, I must add that all the staff there were working were really nice and pleasant and couldn't do more to help. . . also almost half of the machines in the amusement area where broken - could really do with getting that sorted.
Linda from East Kilbride (19 May 2017)

Beautiful surroundings. Caravan was spotless everything you need in one place
Alison from Irvine (12 May 2017)

Lodge was lovely no faults whatsoever would definitely go again really pleased with service and site we took my mother of 88 with us and she had plenty of room even though she's got mobility issues she managed fine
James (12 May 2017)

Overall we had a fantastic holiday, drinks are a little pricey and I don't think you should charge for the children's soft play seems unfair and hard to manage for staff when they are in and out all the time. . . caravan was lovely and clean and scenery and surrounding area beautiful. We will definatley be back.
Jade from Airdrie (08 May 2017)

This was a really relaxing holiday with good facilities, we had a disability caravan which was excellent with plenty of room for four of us plus dog, would certainly go again.
George from Forfar (06 May 2017)

Nice lodge and park
John from Kilwinning (05 May 2017)

Great best scottish holiday. By far
John from Carluke (05 May 2017)

Food was below start I would expect..both in restaurant and fish n chips take out. Long wait in restaurant.
Jp from Carluke (01 May 2017)

Lovely cabin, hot tub was great, we were there off season so not really alot to do or alot on at the hub but very peaceful and clean.
Scott from Kilbirnie (28 April 2017)

Caravan was lovely, with a beautiful view of the scenery. Only thing I will say, was quite expensive, so the daily gas and electric charge, I felt was an added expense, but park itself was very good, as were the facilities.
Ruth from Glasgow (24 April 2017)

While we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there were a few minor issues with the lodge which we reported in our feedback form. . . the leisure facilities were good and the staff were exceptional.
Sandra from East Kilbride (21 April 2017)

Loved holiday put off at check in never got keys till nearly five after asking from three. Got keys but no passes or welcome pack had to go back again.apart from this great stay.
Matthew (21 April 2017)

Lovely site, very friendly staff. site was very quiet and not everything open as advertised.
Joanne (21 April 2017)

Was an absolutely gorgeous place, bit quiet for our 16 and 13 year old who suffered with limited wi-fi so they had to talk to us ;-) caravan we stayed in was spotless a jura premier 4 had everything we needed. Nice little 4 night break with stunning surroundings.
Angela from Merseyside (21 April 2017)

We had a lovely time at hunters quay. The only problem we had was the lodge across from us had been let out to a group of workmen and they were up and out at 7.30am talking loudly, swearing and tooting van horn. They were also speeding around the site. We had our dog with us and this unsettled her. Was supposed to be a quiet relaxing time but was unfortunately not. That was only in the morning and aside from that everything else was great.
Sharon from Falkirk (21 April 2017)

Had a fab time, hot tub was great, also had massage highly recommended it was one of the best we've had. . lodge was lovely well worth it, only prob was couple of doors do no stay shut just touch them and pop open, defo be back
Lynda from Penicuik (21 April 2017)

Facilities quite limited compared to other argyll holidays and similar sites we have stayed at. Also not quite the quiet we'd been expecting, due to noisy neighbours, although they quietened down in the evening, thankfully.
Peter from Darlington (17 April 2017)
