Julie from Wigan (07 October 2016)

Very relaxing stay at the lodge, most enjoyable.
Gareth from Caernarfon Gwynedd (30 September 2016)

Lovely location greets people fantastic short break
George from Gainsborough (30 September 2016)

Such a lovely place to get away, staff very helpful, cant wait to go back
Andrew from Exeter (26 September 2016)

We had a very relaxing week at heronstone lodge. we would recommend it to anyone.
Jenny from Abertillery (26 September 2016)

We had a fantastic holiday steve was fantastic such a warm welcome. All amenities were avaliable such as cutlery/towels/pots it was wonderful. We also had a small bottle of champagne and jelly's waiting which we thought was a lovely touch. There was no curfew in using hot tub like other places which was great. Also there was a big book on all the things that was around the area which I thought was so useful. Overall it was an amazing weekend and would love to come back soon. Stayed on red kite vip 11.
Keiran from Somerset (26 September 2016)

Lovely place lovely lodge , hot tub amazing would def recommend
Rebecca from Cardiff (26 September 2016)

Lovely place, wish we could have stayed for longer. Hot tubs are amazing, lodges are beautiful. My only criticism would be the smell of bleach when we arrived was so strong that we had to get a smelly candle, but we were happy that it was so clean.
Samia (23 September 2016)

Peace and quiet, lots of beer, lots of reading, lots of no kids... bliss..
Mark from Portsmouth (23 September 2016)

The log cabin break was fantastic, the cabin facilities were perfect. The only point I would make is it is a rather strange location, I think I expected more of a complex with facilities on site - it may be worth mentioning this on the website.
Victoria from Chichester (19 September 2016)

Lovely quaint small site. Beautiful setting. Within close proximity to swansea and brecon beacons. National caves very close and absolutely fantastic
Sarah from Newport (19 September 2016)

A lovely, peaceful break away from it all. loved the hot tub, and didn't have to travel far to take in the beauty of the brecon beacons, caves and numerous waterfalls.
Annette from Kidlington (12 September 2016)

Had a very quiet relaxing break.
Lynne from Newport Shropshire (03 September 2016)

Nice and quiet. just what we needed.
Darren from Gloucester (02 September 2016)

Great accommodation in quiet location. Handy for brecons, swansea and coast. Accommodation well equipped.
Michelle (29 August 2016)

Lovely place and staff. We had a great time and are beautiful neighbours next to us. Thank you so much for hospitality. We will definitely recommend this place to our friends. Regards. Olga
Olga from London (29 August 2016)

Absolutley fab. Steve met us with a fab welcome and very friendly. We really enjoyed and had a relaxing weekend. Shall be booking again for next year x
Cathy from Swansea (15 August 2016)

An amazing stay, couldn't recommend enough. Have some of my friends already looking at dates they can book.
Adam from Halwill Junction (12 August 2016)

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in a peaceful location whilst staying in a great little lodge for the week. It had everything you need and was spacious, clean and very cosy. We would love to go back in the winter when there is some snow on the ground and just hide away for the week. Great value for money with lovely welcome touches from the hosts, such as wine, sweets and chocolates. Will definitely be going back but will probably book a bigger lodge as they also come with hot tubs. Overall a really great week which was both relaxing and fun.
Tristan from Saltash (12 August 2016)

Lived up to its expectations
Diana from Neath (12 August 2016)

Had a relaxing time but the trees was hanging over the hot tub and the garden furniture, shower and sink kept blocking up, behind the sofa and dressing table was dirty and an empty bottle was there from previous people. I have paid less and stayed in a more clean and modern lodge last year.
Paige from Manchester (08 August 2016)

Better than expected . everything you would want and need from a self catering lodge . lots of space great shower and kitchen facilities
Rich from Stafford (08 August 2016)

We enjoyed our stay in heronstone lodge it was a nice little cabin.
Sue from Driffield (06 August 2016)

A pleasant cabin in secluded location but very close to the centre of the town. Extremely good value for money. A clean and well appointed cabin.
Simon (30 July 2016)

Only one word to describe our holiday- wonderful.
Julie from Burntwood (30 July 2016)

Lodge starting to look a bit tired, and dated inside. Kitchen on the small side. If looking for quiet location this site would be hard to beat.
Paul from Lowestoft (23 July 2016)

Had a lovely stay with my wife and 2 year old daughter in july for a week this was our second stay .the place is well looked after by steve and his team very clean and well kept great hottub and the lodge has everything you need for a relaxing stay i'm sure we will be back
Stuart from Rickmansworth (23 July 2016)

The cabin wasn't very clean. Lots of spiders webs. Not enough sockets in the kitchen had to boil the kettle on the floor.
Debra (22 July 2016)

Beautiful area with plenty of places to see and eat at. I stayed in a jay vip and it was brilliant, well maintained and very clean upon arrival.
Aleksandra (22 July 2016)

Lodge was beautiful, very clean and had all the utensils you would need. The lady who welcomed us marie I think she was called was excellent she explained everything to us and was available 24hrs if needed anything. Very very pleased with our stay and will be going back
Karen from Plymouth (18 July 2016)

The site has 14 lodges set in a wood in a big circle , lovely setting very quite . the owner/ manager steve & wife were very good nothing was to much trouble . the lodge no 5 was for two people with a hot tub , hot tub was one of the best we've ever had & we've had a lot , the lodge itself was very good but could do with a deep clean , it wasn't dirty but needed corners tidied like the bathroom that was not big but had the airer , vacuum & all bits , ironing board iron and all sorts . couldn't move . there was a bbq outside back door was good . in all it was a lovely stay .
Jackie (16 July 2016)

Lodge was vip lodge but found it very basic - no dishwasher, no freezer, no way of drying clothes, wifi didn't cover whole lodge, no bedding in second room where I was staying as went with friend, stain on curtains, hair found on floor, dusty, hot tub facing no view. Garden too big but lodge too small. Had to move sofa to get into bathroom or use table or get into bedroom. Wouldn't stay again for the distance away from home the price and the lack of facilities. Lodge is dated and not luxurious even the kitchen is poorly laid out
Rob (15 July 2016)

Had a fantastic time, hot tub was great.
Hailey (11 July 2016)

Heronstone lodges were just perfect! could not have been a more relaxing break..the lodges were spotlessly clean with every facilty you could ask for ..set in beautiful surroundings, so many things to see and do..would highly recommend..we will be returning as soon as is possible ..thank you
Ann-Marie from Birmingham (11 July 2016)

It was a lovely place. Very easy to find and the man that welcomed us was very informative of the area. We got told exactly what time he came round to check the hot tub so we knew when we couldn't go in it. He also allowed us to go into an unbooked cabin so we could book again with friends. Would highly recommend the place
Lindsay from Neath (08 July 2016)

Will definitely book again.
Beryl from Port Talbot (04 July 2016)

We have stayed here twice.1 week september 2015 and 2 weeks june 2016.we will undoubtedly be staying again.lovely peaceful location with various things to do close by and steve and staff are second to none in friendliness and helpfulness.oh.and the hotub.spot on :)
Ian from Burton-Upon-Trent (02 July 2016)

Lovely holiday
Neil from Oakham (01 July 2016)

Very friendly staff and clean cabin with wi-fi, dvd player and freeview. The adjacent town of ystradgynlais hosts take away food shops, indian and pub cuisine. A stones throw from the brecon beacons national park with swansea approx. 15 miles to the south. The log cabin had a wonderful hot tub that was extensively used. Ideal for a weekend or full week break.
Andrew from Ebbw Vale (20 June 2016)

Really nice lodges.
Julie from Wigan (13 June 2016)

Had another great stay at heronstone. This being our 5th visit to this site, it's well run, clean and nice and close to amenities, shop's pub's and takeaways etc. Some sites we have stayed at have been in the middle of nowhere!. the hot tubs are a real bonus after a long adventurous trip in the beacon's !
Peter from Somerset (10 June 2016)

We had a fabulous time. Very relaxing so quiet and peaceful. Plenty to see. You do need a car to go around. The village is a short walk but only one pub/restaurant. However a short car journey a trip to the the george fabulous meals and reasonable prices. Tesco and asda 5 mins away (in car). steve even bought us a teapot as we didn't have one. Will definitely be booking again.
Alison from Liverpool (10 June 2016)

We've been here many times and always have a lovely relaxing break. My only complaint is that too many people know about it now!!
Susan from Bracknell (03 June 2016)

Lovely location. Lodge clean, well knitted out and functional. Beds could do with mattress covers though! great hot tub and patio area. Nice to see some wildlife but not the rat which appeared in the garden.
Martyn from Taunton (28 May 2016)

Great place to stay. Spending a few days in a beautiful part of the country with a hot tub to soak away the aches and pains after walking for hours in the beacons..don't think i've ever been so chilled on a holiday!. . a very friendly welcome, and the most comprehensive information pack i've ever seen - a good start to a superb holiday.
Paul from Telford (27 May 2016)

Once again fab place to stay. . will definitely return for a 3rd time.
Philippa from Cardiff (20 May 2016)

Fabulous place, quiet peaceful location for relaxing! would definitely recommend and stay here again!
Dionne from Tamworth (20 May 2016)

Great place, great lodge excellent hot tub
Dawn from Rhondda (20 May 2016)

Absolutely stunning, best place to spend with loved ones if you want peace and quiet.
Katy from Tylorstown (20 May 2016)

I rated this 10/10 across the board simply because this beautiful lodge exceeded all expectations! couldn't fault the lodge, location or staff at all. We went here for my 25th birthday I have a 18month old boy and was very child friendly and it's fair to say he enjoyed himself. This lodge was very spacious even with 5 adults and a child. Plenty of little extras that's not mentioned in the info so we were pleasantly surprised when we had an xbox, tvs in all the rooms and of course how pstunning the lodge it's self was! the location is perfect great scenery anyway direction you go, beaches, shops, mountains and waterfalls all within 45 min drive loved it and will be booking again next year!
Simone from Swindon (16 May 2016)

Super location. Lots of wildlife around spent aged sat on veranda watching a greater spotted woodpecker
Mervyn from Plymouth (14 May 2016)

A fantastic little lodge. It was spotless inside & the hot tub was great. It had everything you needed, along with the peace & quiet we were after. We would definitely go back.
Annette from Sutton Coldfield (13 May 2016)

Fantastic break in idyllic surroundings. Hot tub was icing on the cake. Will defiantly return
Joanna from Bargoed (09 May 2016)

Loved the lodge. Would stay there again. Immactulely clean. Thumbs up all round.
Sarah from Carmarthen (09 May 2016)

Fabulous, amazing, brilliant
Michelle from Caldicot (09 May 2016)

Wonderful staff already booked to go back says it all
Hayley from Caerphilly (09 May 2016)

Will be booking again. Loved it.
Michael from Manchester (06 May 2016)

Lovely lodge, ideally quiet location. The chocs and wine on arrival were a lovely touch.
Ceri from Kent (06 May 2016)

Amazing weekend away. Couldn't have enjoyed it anymore. Perfect for distressing and spending quality time together.
Linda from Plymouth (02 May 2016)

Fantastic! cant wait to go again
Samantha from Swansea Wales (29 April 2016)

We picked the coldest week in april but were cosy and warm in the lodge. The access in and out is quite steep but once on the site, the views are lovely and you feel away from it all. Very good local info in the cabin.
Irene from Amesbury (29 April 2016)

It was a well maintained site so quite and relaxing loved the hot tub staff really helpful excellent would highly recommend this site
Keith (29 April 2016)

We have been going to herenstone lodges for the last 4 years and have seen a decline in the cleanliness and service in the past 2 years. The owner steve has been away on the last 2 occasions and corners get cut while he is away. The hot tub was so dirty when we arrived the hot tub service guy had to be called back to re-clean it. He had to half empty the tub which meant that we couldn't use it on our first day. The girls looking after the place brought us a box of chocolates the next day to apologise but by that time we noticed the lack of cleanliness in the lodge itself. The difference between when the owner is on site and when he is away very noticeable.
Wayne from Blackwood (18 April 2016)

Clean, comfortable and everything you need when we arrived the heating had been turned on so nice and welcoming hot tub was the cherry on top would love to go back
Jacqueline from Barnstaple (16 April 2016)

Had a lovely relaxing time. A special touch was the easter egg & chocolates left as a surprise outside the door on easter sunday. Very thoughtful. Thankyou.
Mandy (28 March 2016)

Excellent lodge, clean and well equipped. Staff were very helpful and professional, beautiful surroundings not far from lovely pubs, supermarkets etc.. highly recommend.
Mark from Watford (28 March 2016)

Can honestly say that the lodge was perfect and so peaceful. The hottub was hot, lodge was warm and clean and the setting was truly stunning. Near but not to near are lots of take aways and supermarkets and loads of walks waterfalls. Perfect for a romantic getaway. Treat yourself and leave the kids with grandparents!
Gemma from Birmingham (21 March 2016)

Brilliant relaxing holiday!! we spent half our time in the hot tub. The staff were friendly and you were left to your own devices. . . the mattress was very uncomfortable and I emailed about this upon our return home. They said they would look at this. . overall we had a fab time and I would definitely return. . wouldn't recommend for families, more couples and people wanting to relax.
Rebecca from Stoke On Trent (21 March 2016)

A wonderful break, with sunshine everyday. The hot tub was the reason we went and we were not disappointed. Waking up to the birds singing, trees swaying, blue skies and a hot tub is wonderful.
Lesley from Bromsgrove (19 March 2016)

We found it so peaceful all you could hear was the birds. . the hot tub was great. . we were really lucky as we had brilliant weather which allowed us to do lots of walking. The park is ideally situated, for travelling around to lots of different places for walking.
Julie from Telford, Shropshire (18 March 2016)

Fantastic! staff helpful and available. Comfortable lodges.
Mark from Portsmouth (18 March 2016)

We are going again
Keith from Princes Risborough (18 March 2016)

Our holiday was fantastic because of the places we went to. We drove out to barry island, went walking up pen y fan and to some local waterfalls.

Brilliant weekend away .amazing cabin .every thing it said it was. Can't recommend enough and will definitely be returning .
Gavin from Bracknell (14 March 2016)

Had great time would stay again.
Julian (14 March 2016)

Emma from Cwmbran (11 March 2016)

Fantastic weekend away - hot tub was brilliant. staff friendly and relaxed - thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable weekend . didn't want to come to come.
Shelley from Hereford (07 March 2016)

I stayed here with my husband & 3 year old son it was a fantastic break we really enjoyed!! my all loved the hot tub especially my son who we couldn't get out of there!! the staff were fantastic always on hand to help even down to which chinese was the best for us to have a take away (which we had delivered to the cabin on the sat night)!! I would defo recommend this login cabin and we will be going back sometime !!

Kayleigh from Caerphilly (29 February 2016)

We had the most fantastic stay at jay vip lodge just recently. The location was perfect and the lodge itself was perfect. We were welcomed by steve and he made the stay perfect by providing bubbly and banners for my partners birthday. We will most certainly be returning again :)
Sophie from Cardiff (29 February 2016)

Wonderful break the children loved it
Angela from Newcastle Under Lyme (26 February 2016)

Awesome place to get a break away from home. It is only an hour drive from where I live but I felt a million miles from home. Very pleasant place
Paul from Rhondda (26 February 2016)

Absolutely loved the weekend there. The site is nice and clean, very private and quiet..i think there is about 12 lodges there. The lodge itself was lovely and clean and a joy to stay in. It has everything you would need for self-catering. The surrounding village is very nice and quiet; it has a couple of nice pubs/ restaurants to chill out in and quite a few take-aways.
Lee from Cricklewood, London (22 February 2016)

Absolutely fantastic and spotlessly clean. Will def return soon.
Zoe from Cwmbran (22 February 2016)

Amazing would definitely return!
Abbie (22 February 2016)

Perfect place for getting away from it all. Hot tub was fantastic and lodge was very comfortable and cosy. would highly recommend and hope to return soon. Only downpoint was that the internet was very poor. This didnt spoil our holiday as it was all about getting away from it all. (may effect you if you have children).
Jayne from Coventry (19 February 2016)

Absolutely loved our stay, was fantastic and would highly recommend
Sally (15 February 2016)

Brilliant!
Lewis (15 February 2016)

Nice and quiet. Enjoyed the hot tub although water could be warmer from past experiences with hot tubs. Lodge comfy and warm with everything you need in it.
Maria (12 February 2016)

Beautiful surroundings, quiet location. Unlucky that the weather was really bad during our stay but it did not hold us back having a great time in the hot tub. Really enjoyed our stay and looking forward to go back!
Andrea from Bristol (08 February 2016)

What a fantastic weekend break! worth every penny. Such a warm and cosy log cabin with the added bonus of a hot tub! steve was very helpful and always on the other end of the telephone! will definitely be returning!
Abigail from Tredegar (01 February 2016)

The most relaxing christmas we've ever had. The lodge was fabulous-all festive!! . the hot tub was the best bit..cold, rainy evenings spent in there..awesome!!. would definitely return. Thanks for a memorable holiday.
Sara from Leeds (30 December 2015)

When we arrived we were greeted by the owner, a pleasant and very helpful gentleman. we were told we would be upgraded so we were over the moon. . . the lodge was new,l and spacious. the beds were comfortable, surroundings were peaceful. Hot tub was mostly enjoyed by all the family. . . the cooking facilities were adequate although not entirely big which is understandable for the size. Few more kitchen utensils required such as a bread knife but i'm sure I would have been given one if asked. I work in catering so perhaps i'm a little fussy. . overall a wonderful stay, clean, beautiful and relaxing which made our after christmas period very enjoyable. . we will be returning!
Kelly from Cardiff (30 December 2015)

We stayed at the jay vip between christmas/new years. It was the most perfect break! fab little touches to the cabins to make it extra special (christmas trees!) this was the fifth time returning back to heronestone lodges and we still love it there as much as our first time! cant wait to return again.
Kirstie from Newport (30 December 2015)

Great time again weather awfull but had good rest.
Paul from Chester (30 November 2015)

Excellent hot tub, relaxing and cosy cottage . we stayed at owl. The location is quite convenient that all the facilities were nearby though the surrounding of the cottage was country side. We got very bad weather throughout so stayed in and made good use of the hot tub which was nicely covered for extra privacy and also shelter from rain. The staff was quite helpful and the cottage had very well informative documentation on surrounding places and restaurants. It was definitely helpful.
Mgd from London (30 November 2015)

This is the third time we have stayed here so relaxing. The lodges are always clean and tidy and have everything you need. It is an ideal spot for travelling around, near to the brecon beacons which are amazing.
Jenny from Sandown, Isle Of Wight (28 November 2015)

Have been here with my partner about 5 times in the last 3 years - our favourite place in wales by far. Staff are so helpful & the place is well kept and clean. Hot tubs and lodges are amazing.

Belinda from Llanelli (26 October 2015)

The lodges are so beautiful and relaxing, quite the peaceful break me and my partner love in october just begore the madness of christmas commences!!! definitely recommend
Lucy from Redditch (23 October 2015)

Great location, great hot tub. Stayed for 4 nights in oct, it didnt matter it rained as the setting was idyllic. Only downer was given the weather we planned on using netflix via my laptop but the advertised wifi is just a hotspot and couldnt be used -which resulted in using my mobile as a hotspot at a cost. I think improving the wifi for the winter months would be beneficial as just 12 channels on the tv is not great if you cant really get out. But still would stay again. Looking to book already.
Claire from Exeter (23 October 2015)

We had a fabulous time and we would definately return again but as a couples holiday, the lodge just wasn't crawling baby friendly which is not the lodges fault at all, just bad planning on our part. . . extremely friendly staff, site well kept, peaceful and quiet location. Could do with a bit of an update in the lodge though.
Helen from Newport (23 October 2015)

Lovely place, comfortable lodges, very enjoyable
Vanessa from Swansea (19 October 2015)

Beautiful lodge, lovely area and friendly staff - it was perfect!
Beth from Chelmsford (09 October 2015)

Nice place could do with a bit of modern touches
Adam from Barnsley (09 October 2015)

Lovely location and clean tidy site. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Great site if you are into hot tubs!lodge was a bit disappointing as in need of tlc and a bit of a refurb, bedding was quite poor quality. Overall not luxurious despite the vip branding. Def recommend you take your own pillows! but we enjoyed visiting the area and the site is well located for waterfall walks.
Customer 119 (09 October 2015)

Cosy lodge in a good position. handy for walking and near town for shopping in quiet and peaceful surroundings. steve very welcoming and helpful. lots to do in area without travelling too far. hot tub lovely to come back to after a day out.
Debra from Burnley (09 October 2015)

Was made to feel very welcome by the owner of heronstone, nothing was too much trouble.. I asked if there was a cd player in the lodge (they had one integral to the dvd) . but the next day, a knock at the door and there was a brand new cd player, a really expensive looking unit. over and above expectations. . the lodge was clean and comfortable, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend friends and family to spend a lovely holiday at heronstone, ysyradgynlais.
Customer 121 from Kent (05 October 2015)

Lovely relaxing break, the lodges were well equipt and very clean. Staff were excellent and the hot tub was fantastic. Wat a way to spend our honeymoon. Would most definitely go again. Katie and chris xx

Amazing lodge and facilities. Perfect relaxing mini break.
Victoria from Beddau (14 September 2015)

Heronstone was very peaceful and quiet, with a very private hot tub area. The owner was very helpful and the information in the lodge was great. Our only small negative is that it was not until we booked it that we then were made aware that we could not get in until 4 pm on arrival day, and had to be out by 10 am on leaving day. That cut the f/s/s/mon to s/sun really, then it became expensive.
