Great holiday, perfect for families.
Kirsty from Eastbourne (08 September 2018)

Lovely relaxing week fishing . loved staying in the brand new accommodation. Highly recommend.
Donna from Manchester (08 September 2018)

We had a lovely holiday my 2 year old enjoyed swimming the pirate ship feeding the ducks and seeing sporty fox
Sophie from Guildford (08 September 2018)

Excellent location and fab cabin!
Kerri (07 September 2018)

Had a lovely& informative lady (siobhan) welcoming us at reception on arrival and she took her time to explain everything well. the lodge we had was above expectations of comfort and space so our party of 3 kids and 4 adults had plenty of room to run around in accommodation! very pleased with pillows and bed comfort, (wasn't expecting this as had read some nasty reviews about those) but had excellent nights' sleep the whole weekend! thank you
Sylveen (03 September 2018)

A lovely place to stay staff were very helpful
Trevor from Basingstoke (01 September 2018)

For what we paid I was very disappointed with the park. The bath surround had a big hole with sharp edges. The hot tub took 2 days to heat up and had a panel missing so equipment kept floating out. The hot tub which was poorly maintained with buttons that work intermittently, was at the side of the lodge rather than on a balcony as suggested by the website. It was also on full view for the whole road to see. The pool was filthy, especially by the jacuzzi area. The activities were so expensive that we could not afford for our children to do them and we had days out instead. However, the two ladies on reception were an absolute credit to you.
Natalie (01 September 2018)

Great place but location too remote to explore cornwall. . staff are outstanding and can’t do enough to help. . would definitely return
Ian from Dincaster (01 September 2018)

The bungalow was adaquete as a base to tour north cornwall which is lovely
Lewis (01 September 2018)

Fantastic manor house accomodation. Great facilities. Great location.
Claire from Norwich (01 September 2018)

We had a lovely stay at hengar manor and would certainly recommend it to our friends. We thoroughly enjoyed the activities we participated in also.
Melanie (01 September 2018)

Lovely place to stay, staff friendly, accommodation clean and excellent.
Darren from Grimsby (01 September 2018)

Absolutely fantastic.couldnt fault it at all.x
Sarah from Highworth (31 August 2018)

The village itself was lovely. Great location. The hot tub was beautiful. Very well maintained. The cleanliness of our cottage was fine. The communication between staff for the problem we had was a bit lax. (had no hot water for most of the week and they sent a security guard to fix it friday nite even though the issue was reported tues morning! ) we had a lovely time and would go again. Only other issue was no clean cups when we went to on-site restaurant badly stained.
Tara from Portsmouth (27 August 2018)

A bit of thought could make a big difference:-. there is no where to hang coats and no where to put shoes. A few hooks on the back of bedroom doors would make a huge difference. The hot tub lid was broken and extremely heavy to lift on and off so takes away the luxury of a hot tub, and just a general clean and facelift!
Kazz from Sherborne (27 August 2018)

We have stayed at several other parks around the country and always been really pleased. But we were very disappointed with hengar manor. We were staying in a waterside cabin which turned out to be a very tiny static caravan. The caravan and indeed the whole site was very tired, tatty and shabby. There were no towels provided whereas we have always had them provided at other sites. Normally there are little hotel-type toiletries and a welcome pack for us on arrival, with washing up cloth, milk, bread etc. But here? nothing, not a bar of soap or a teabag. Not a thing. . . wi-fi is not free on site so we paid £15 for wi-fi for up to 5 devices for the 7 days of our stay. But the wi-fi was so poor we never actually managed to connect. Money down the drain. The mobile signal is also very poor. . . incredibly disappointing all round.
Rebecca from Matlock (25 August 2018)

Our lodge was lovely, ready for us on arrival. the staff were helpful and the actual location of the site is lovely, with lots of lovely walks around. we used our hot tub and this was maintained every day by the staff.
Michelle from Binfield (25 August 2018)

Holiday park was very good and bungalow was spacious with nice view of the large acres of the park . would recommend a good holiday :)
Del from Lowestoft (25 August 2018)

Booked in at a lodge (38) and found it well prepared and equipped. Decent size lounge area, and 3 good sized bedrooms. . . check in process was quick and easy, with parking directly outside the lodge. . great location to explore cornwall, and in easy reach of major towns. . instructors on the activities that we did were excellent (disc golf and archery), and the pool was a good size. . personally did not find the evening entertainment to my taste, consisting mainly of kiddies shows, bingo and singers, however for those with smaller children, I am sure it would have been great. . . the tavern on site has a basic pub menu, but was reasonably priced, and pretty quick service after placing the order, (although ordering could take a while due to only 1 order point). . the grounds were very well maintained, and the ducks are friendly!. . considering that this was mid august, I felt that this break provided really good value, and I would definitely consider staying here again. . would have been nice to have wifi access without additional charge, as I would consider this to be a basic utility these days.
Rob from Bognor Regis (20 August 2018)

Lovely place and very peaceful
Julie Ann (18 August 2018)

Nice park but in need of some renavation across park and lodges. In a nice country location, good fishing lakes, 9 hole golf course good but flags need numbers as confusing where your playing next hole!!!!
Katie (18 August 2018)

Shabby accommodation, which would be improved by simple maintaining ie cupboard door fixing , decking fixed and cleaned ,toilet roll holder fixed ,plug holes cleaned ( full of hair ) ,table sticky ,other guests old bbq left by door on our arrival.
Fiona from Maidstone (18 August 2018)

Lovely staff helpful and friendly. Peaceful and quiet very relaxing
Jean from Kent (18 August 2018)

Very tired accommodation. The decking round the hot tub had exposed nails, not really family friendly. Staff let themselves into our accommodation to change some furniture when we were out without informing us! couldn’t always get into the pool due to the number being allowed in and it being sectioned off for activities. Very disappointed for the amount paid compared to other holidays.
Fleur from Lymm (18 August 2018)

As a family of 4, we have stayed at hengar manor at least 5 times now! the staff are amazing, so friendly, helpful and polite. The accommodation is lovely, very comfortable and of ample size. And the park surroundings are so beautiful, with lots to do and explore. The evening entertainment is fantastic for the kids and enjoyable for the adults. I would and have recommended this holiday!
Lisa from Norwich (18 August 2018)

Great lodge. great food . great facilities , very helpful stuff. Area good loads to do for all ages. Didn’t want to leave
Julie from Highbridge (17 August 2018)

Staff were very friendly and helpful.the lodge was cleaned to a high standard. Highly recommended for a excellent holiday location
Simon from Lympsham (17 August 2018)

Lovely location, great to relax after a day of sightseeing and pigging out on pasties.
Glen (13 August 2018)

There were ten people in our party - 6 adults and 4 children - unfortunately only eight dining chairs. . I would have liked there to have been an outdoor swimming pool. . the entertainment venue was too small for high season - we only went one night and could not get a seat. Our villa-plus was spotless when we arrived and the whole family loved the hot tub. The whole area was peaceful at all times of the day and night. The staff were all pleasant and helpful. During our stay we visited some stunning beaches - bude, perranporth, st michael's mount, tintagel village and castle, watergate bay and widemouth bay, we also visited charlestown, mevagissey and st michael's mount. . my husband and the boys loved the fishing lakes . i'm sure all of my grandchildren will have fond memories of their first attempts at body surfing.
Carol from Hemel Hempstead (11 August 2018)

The park was too far away from anything including a supermarket. Park itself was nice however it could do with an outdoor pool. Lodge needed updating and wasn't very clean. Patio furniture was filthy couldn't use it. Rubbish bin still had rubbish in it and there was a small piece of food stuck to the bedroom door.
Lisa from Glasgow (11 August 2018)

Accommodation was very basic, very poor condition of furniture. . the double bed mattress was old and warn, feeling every spring. Was told when booked the accommodation that this property had a refurbishment. New carpet is not a refurbishment!. . cigarettes ends all in the bushes at the front door of the accommodation from the previous holiday makers. . bathroom curtain were extremely dirty. . there was no where to sit outside when going for a drink in the pub, unless you were ok sitting in the main car park.
Lorraine from Great Alne (11 August 2018)

Was our first time down in cornwall and really enjoyed it. Site was great staff were lovely.
Abby from Durham (11 August 2018)

Awesome
Paula from Tavistock (10 August 2018)

Lovely setting.stayed in villa which was spacious and comportable.fixtures and furniture could do with updating but wasn't terrible.accomodation had a shower and a separate bathroom.shower pressure was terrible(biggest moan) again the accomodation could have been cleaner but wasn't terrible .we had two teenagers 13yr and 14yr.the 13yr need an adult(camp rule) with him to go in the pool and join in any activities so we didn't bother and went off the camp every day.shop had very limited stock.entertainment in evening ok but nothing for teenagers only one pool table.food in pub ok in price and choice.the country setting sells the place.
Elaine from Port Talbot (06 August 2018)

We love hengar manor and have been there many times staying in park villa. The villas are spacious and comfortable . the park setting is lovely and rural and fairly quiet.it never felt too crowded or too busy . staff are great and we loved the activities .tavern menu standard pub grub .large warm pool.we will be back
Wendy from Newport (06 August 2018)

Lovely as ever, but starting to look a little tired and dated.
Nicola from Tiverton (04 August 2018)

The cottage was very nice and comfortable and a good size however cobwebs everywhere. No bath mats which seems unacceptable when children are staying. Annoying that other cottages can easily see into bedrooms from their kitchen windows so not as private as would have hoped. But overall acceptable and equipped for a pleasant stay. The shop was run down too basic and overpriced however only used this a few times. The swimming pool was fine and there is a nice space to play ball games.
Helen from Hertfordshire (04 August 2018)

We were disappointed in hengar manor. The pool was lovely but closed at 7.30 which was difficult to get to if you've been on a day out. There are lots of activities on offer and it feels like the staffs priority is to sell these over anything else. We were given an information pack when we arrived and it just had details of activities and evening events at the clubhouse. There was no information about the local area, where to find the nearest supermarket or how to work the heating in the accommodation. The accommodation was very dated and had poor quality furniture.
Ruth from Didcot (04 August 2018)

Holiday with children and grandchildren. The location of our lodges on the main route proved a little dangerous for the smaller grandchildren as cars did not adhere to speed limit.
Margaret from Newcastle (30 July 2018)

Everything was fine other than the entertainment. The fox and crew have to go, they were appalling. A lack of chemistry with the kids and our youngest two were so petrified of the fox we couldn't come to the other nights. This really needs to be reviewed. Other than that it was a nice stay but I am looking forward to the face lift with the new owners and hopefully new investment, especially if the prices are going up as planned!!!
Daniel (28 July 2018)

Had a really lovely time at hengar, setting is perfect for a relaxing holiday, facilities ie swimming pool, entertainment and fishing lakes perfect. However, the park is looking tired and unkempt our villa had cobwebs in the cupboards in the kitchen area. The hot tub was to the side of the villa which wasnt ideal!. the windows were so dirty couldnt see out of them!!. we booked a villa with hot tub and there were no towels??????????. fishing shop was not 'officially open' until the following week also not helpful when we only wanted to hire a landing net!!!!. on the saturday night we noted that the bar/restaurant had new menus and also entertainment staff were now wearing uniforms. Might seem a bit petty but we paid alot of money to holiday there and deserved to have the same treatment as anyone else coming after us.
Linda (23 July 2018)

Second time we have visited . lovely place to stay clean and comfortable and staff are really friendly
Anita from Birmingham (23 July 2018)

On arrival, our room wasn't ready. We were told that the room would be ready just after 4pm. We could not get in the room till 5 which meant our cold food had been in a hot car for 2.5 hours so some of it had spoiled. Also the sofa bed was not appropriate for 2 adults. The mattress was paper thin with springs poking through the material. The bed was at an angle so when you laid down your legs were in the air. 2 of the guests had to sleep on the floor on cushions which was unacceptable. Overall it's a very pleasant place to stay with beautiful surroundings just disappointed in the accommodation.
Emma from Plymouth (23 July 2018)

Good location friendly helpful staff would go again
Andrew from London (21 July 2018)

Disappointed that n the cleanliness of our bungalow. We may have got a good price for this as it was before the schools broke up but we left early as just couldn’t stand the standard of bungalow. We cleaned it ourselves as wasn’t satisfied with cleanliness.
Matthew (21 July 2018)

Full of workers using the place for a base to work from noisy woken up by them morning and night full of children that should have been in school at weekends and afternoons people from around the area come and use the place like home
Alan from Stockport (21 July 2018)

Nice location, nice site
Alan from Southampton (21 July 2018)

Excellent accommodation in lovely surroundings and very handy for both north and south coast
Steven from Runcorn (21 July 2018)

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be coming back again for our holidays. The staff were friendly and so helpful, the surroundings are beautiful and the facilities were great. It was also easy to travel around from this site. Thoroughly recommend!
Kate from Leicestershire (21 July 2018)

Beautiful surroundings. Fairly decent location to get to all places driving. It is in a location though that you have to drive everywhere which can be a pain. Food and service were fine
Steph from Leicestershire (20 July 2018)

Lovely sight for a family holiday with kind day and grandparents.
Carina from London (16 July 2018)

We had stayed at this particular place before so we opted to stay here again as a base this year, the villa we stayed in was very dusty and the beds were incredibly stained, the fridge freezer took two days to actually function, the cooker broke second to last day and the shower didn’t work all week. . the surroundings to the villa were beautiful, lots of natural wildlife around the grounds and surrounding areas. . there was no designated parking for the villa either, which meant the car was out of sight most of the trip also which was very unhelpful when loading and unloading the car.
Amy from Worcester (14 July 2018)

A very peaceful out of season holiday. Lodges were well appointed and set in lovely surroundings. Their geographical location means its pretty easy to get anywhere in cornwall for a day trip. The pool was great with a small coffee shop next to it. The convenience store was useful. We went to pub for a meal. A bit ordinary and very quiet.but guess it will be very lively once summer season starts.
Seal from Devon (14 July 2018)

Lovely break the bungalow was clean and welcoming would definitely stay again
Jackie from Lancs (13 July 2018)

Location was really nice, we stayed in one of the cherry villas and had a lovely stay. Staff where all really friendly
Jonathan from Glasgow (13 July 2018)

Really enjoyable time - only downside was the entertainment which was ok but we were there out-of-season.
Byron from Exeter (13 July 2018)

We had a lovely long weekend break but had to pay for a week as did not accommodate our dates. Staff lovely and friendly. Beautiful surroundings. Facilities where a bit tired but clean.
Beverley from Weston-Super-Mare (13 July 2018)

Good place to stay
Andy (09 July 2018)

The staff were the only redeeming thing about the whole holiday the cabins we’re poorly maintained and it’s clear that the photo are from years ago as we had a cabin by the lake and the trees are now fully grown blocking and views of the lake which again was disappointing the car park was right next to the bins and with the bins only being empty 1 throughout the week was again off putting as they smell and were overflowing
Katy from Cwmbran (09 July 2018)

Lovely site bungalow clean helpful staff only down was unable to get breakfast at the restaurant as it was,nt high season.
Anne from Glasgow (07 July 2018)

The accomadation could of been cleaner
Gary (07 July 2018)

Do not eat at restaurant and be prepared to argue to get no help from the staff also not very clean. Nice surroundings but looks like it needs to be tidying up the grounds.
Christina from Aberdare South Wales (07 July 2018)

Property needs alot of work as everything was dated or had some damage and was missing the basin things. Nice location
Georgina (07 July 2018)

Easy access to local tourist hot spots. Pet accommodation was grubby- dirty flooring, lots of dog hairs around and ‘bits’ on floor. But important areas; kitchen and bedding was seen to be clean. Bathroom I felt was clean, but very tired and old making it look unkept.
Emily (06 July 2018)

Staff were great, nothing too much trouble. We were on a hen weekend and spent our first evening at the karaoke, the bar staff remembered our orders every time. Really helpful. Lovely stay.
Julie from Woodbury, Devon (02 July 2018)

Beautiful area and beautiful surroundings within park. Shame the accommodation was outdated with poor quality equipment and some bits missing
Ruth from Leicester (02 July 2018)

We had a bungalow type semi away from the log cabins, very disappointed with it, we had a dog but that was no excuse, it needed a total re-vamp. As we travelled to different locations through the day we just had to put up with it at night , paintwork was bad, no number on door had to search for it, table was a state and legs on chairs had been chewed a bit by a dog. Cleaning was diabolical , would not return to that, the week before we stayed in pothtowen and it was brilliant, totally the opposite, didn't complain at reception , let it go, but probably should have pushed it more,. also hot water just dribbled out of tap .
Don from Kendal Cumbria (30 June 2018)

Stunning location but the apartments were very noisy
Tracey from Harrogate (30 June 2018)

We stayed in the waterside lodge, it's lovely and had lots of space even with 4 people. The only problem was the oven catch was not working so took about 3 hours to cook 4 pizzas. Hot tub was checked everyday which was great and didn't take long to heat up on the first night. Would recommend.
Hayley from East Sussex (30 June 2018)

Great park in a great location, only let down was neighbours on our last night getting in our hot tub at 02:00, fighting, and breaking the garden table.
Tom from Northampton (29 June 2018)

Excellent staff. Good facilities. Great price! we had a lovely holiday! lots to do around too!
Amy from Leicestershire (29 June 2018)

We had an hot tub with our chalet which was maintained every day. the chalet was very spacious and clean. the entertainment in the evening was very good for a small site. it was a little quiet as most holiday makers stayed in their chalets.
Linda from London (29 June 2018)

Stayed as part of a 30th birthday celebration. Lodge plus was well presented and tidy, and hot tub was clean and ready for use upon arrival! . the area is beautiful, and very peaceful. Shop is very overpriced so definitely take shopping with you!. our only complaint..while out on our last day the staff found it wise to top the hot tub up with fresh (cold) water making it completely unusable for our entire last day and night. Unacceptable when picking accommodation because of said hot tub!. spoke to staff who did agree to let us use the hot tub in the vacant lodge next door to us, but, still an avoidable issue we had to deal with!!!
Patrick from Bath (25 June 2018)

Hengar manor is wonderful something for everyone and the facilities are really good.however this year our fourth visit we were extremely disappointed with our accommodation .it was dirty not only on the out side but the inside.inside lighting did not work and the main heater did not work.the furniture was stained and the property had not been cleaned and it smelt extremely fusty.we were so upset and disappointed.
Brian from Winterton (23 June 2018)

Really enjoyed our family holiday we found it easy to find. When we arrived the staff was really nice and if we had a problem they was willing to help. We had to get a stair get put up and there was no problem at all. The bed was hard but for a week away I wouldn't moan about it really nice and clean looking at going back next year
Jessica (23 June 2018)

We have been there eight times and love the place
Suresh from Pinner (23 June 2018)

We checked into our lodge and were very disappointed, it was smelly and dated and just didn't look or feel clean we managed to upgrade to a caravan with a hot tub by the fishing lake (paid extra) it was acceptable, but there was bird poo outside on the terrace where the hot tub was that had clearly been there for days, there were weeds growing at the bottom of the cracked steps to the caravan that I removed myself (a 20 second job)the whole place generally felt shabby and felt very unloved. The food in the bar was basic but well cooked and the so called entertainment was a joke. The staff were lovely the very few dealings we had with them. We would not stay there again
Customer 77 from Buxton Derbyshire (23 June 2018)

Our 11th visit. . love hengar major!
Lowri from Basingstoke (18 June 2018)

Great location, however accommodation was not great. Stayed in the maids retreat and upon opening the door to the building the damp smell was overpowering, the smell got even worse in the apartment. The whole apartment had to aired and cleaned as the kitchen floor was filthy. Whole apartment felt unloved, paint was peeling, wallpaper peeling and noticed on the last day that the electrics were due servicing in 2015 and no further servicing stickers evident. Such a shame as the site itself is perfect, staff are really helpful and the pool is good. Onsite pub needs a serious revamp and restyle but overall pleaseant.
Louise from Nottingham (16 June 2018)

We all loved this holiday the villa was fab, the site was lovely and the kids really enjoyed den building and archery, the staff were all really nice and helpful too.
Caroline from Ayr (15 June 2018)

Nice place to stay value for price paid was good
Annette from Dorchester (15 June 2018)

Nice and clean, very peaceful, enjoyed our stay
Keith from Dawlish (15 June 2018)

Bit of an air of neglect about the place. We had the glass in a patio door shattered on second day hadn't been repaired when we left. not ideally situated for the coast, but ok for a quiet break
Ronald from Hungerford (11 June 2018)

Lovely place
Catherine from Llanelli (10 June 2018)

Really enjoyed the holiday, it was fabulous. the hot tub was a pleasure to relax in and even inspired us to go out and purchase one when we returned. The lodge was very spacious and clean. The on site pub had a wonderful menu of wonderful food with very good service. A few places worth visiting are eden project and the screech owl sanctuary.
Susan from Wallasey, Wirral (09 June 2018)

Park very good house was ok but what let it down was basic cleanliness was clean but didnt feel it. Eg table clean but felt very sticky. House was in poor neglect like keep getting people to stay but not keep on top of basic things. Turned good holiday from being very good holiday
Leigh (09 June 2018)

Had a fab time here. Beautiful surroundings. Entertainment team erika and peter are so friendly, really enjoyed their stage to stage shows. Still singing the songs 4 wks after
Paula from Pontypool (08 June 2018)

Family group had an enjoyable time
Dallas from Huntingdon (02 June 2018)

It's the second time we have stayed at hengar manor. We find it a nice calm and peaceful place to stay. However the pub and the accommodation needs updating. There was cobwebs and spiders every where in the accommodation we stayed in. Its was clean though so not a problem to us. The club was much better this time we stayed compared to two years ago the first time. The staff are amazing at the club and very entertaining. It was nice to see the singers. The kids enjoyed themselves as well as us parents. The swimming pool is very clean and we all made the most of going swimming throughout the week. Our 7 year old learnt how to swim in the week we stayed. We played some tennis and we visited the out door play area, which out 13 month old enjoyed. . we have said that we will return to hengar manor another year. And stay on the site more instead of going out, so that we can enjoy the facilities more. We had a nice week. Our children didn't want to go home.
Tamsin from Northampton (02 June 2018)

Would not return
Mandy (02 June 2018)

Iliya (02 June 2018)

Victoria from Clevedon (02 June 2018)

Lovely half term holiday with great accommodation at an affordable rate. The location is beautiful and good spacious self catering accommodation.
Paula from St Albans (02 June 2018)

The villa wa not clean from inside . everywhere spider and his house .. not happy at all
Umesh (01 June 2018)

Arrived late in the evening, greeted by staff members who stated they didn’t know how to check guests in. . arrived back from a day out to no hot water , took 40 mins for someone to answer the out of hours phone number. Then maintenance man came , checked the water tank then discovered in was split and leaking. He told me it wasn’t safe to stay there and went to check if another unit available to move us to. No unit available , maintenance man stayed until after 11 pm fixing it. Meaning I couldn’t put my children to bed due to location of water tanks. children not wanting to stay longer as they worried about the ‘not safe ‘ comment and wanted to go home. Should’ve stayed 7 nights went home after 5 nights. My husband went home after 3 nights due to horrendous noise from birds nesting in a hole in the villa roof. No sleep for 3 nights. A really sad way to end our trip. I spoke to reception staff on leaving early and was promised someone from management would call me to discuss it. Well i’ve been home over 10 days and no such call has been made ...
Chantelle from Salisbury (01 June 2018)

Great location , bit tired accommodation . it could be really nice if it was spruced up in and outside the lodge
Stuart from It Could Be Really Nice If It Was Spruced Up In An (01 June 2018)

Dreadful accommodation and we left as soon as we found an alternative. Run down, damp, plaster missing from walls, broken kitchen work surfaces, curtains absolutely filthy. Staff helpful and understood-we clearly weren’t the first to leave immediately!!!
Katie (29 May 2018)

My stay here was really nice. This is the second time I have come to hengar, and I have not been disappointed. Staff are very friendly and could not fault at all. Only down sides would be, for the wooden lodges to be more cleaned as they are full of spider webs around the windows, and the bathroom wasn't great. . I stayed at number 41. The wooden lodge opposite must have a bird nest in the roof, my mother got attacked by a black bird on her head which left her full of blood. Within my stay I also see two other people get attacked in the same place. This is not good as I have young children and there are lots of children around the site. There should be some warnings signs. The staff are aware of this as I spoke with one of the staff who nearly got attacked upfront of me, she stated it wasn't the first time. . other than this, the site and surrounding area is lovely.
Katie (28 May 2018)

Wonderful time away with plenty of sun
Peter from Swindon (21 May 2018)

Excellent location good for touring round. Very quiet and relaxing
Tracy from Burnley (19 May 2018)

Great price and great location. Lodges are tired but you get what you pay for. We love it here
Luisa (18 May 2018)

We had a lovely time at hangar manor, its well positioned for touring cornwall, we visited looe and padstow. . . the lodge we stayed in was lovely and had sufficient crockery/cutlery and cooking utensils. It was good there was a bathroom upstairs and a shower-room with a toilet downstairs, handy with young children. we also had a hot tub which we used. . . would definitely go back again, we're even thinking of booking again next year.
Janice from Bridgwater (14 May 2018)

Great place loved it here with friends gorgeous place
Kerry from Plymouth (30 April 2018)

Very disappointed with the holiday , there were ants everywhere in the lodge , the bed settee was very dirty , I would never return , would like a refund but i’m sure that will never happen .
Jennifer from Welcombe (30 April 2018)

Excellent accommodation & excellent customer service.
Dawn from Blackwood (30 April 2018)

Stayed several times and would go back again. Would like to see the swimming pool and jacuzzi warmer and a better gym.
Janet from Pontypridd (27 April 2018)

Excellent location and lodge was great. Staff really friendly.
Alison from Gloucester (27 April 2018)

Absolutely fantastic stay here. Loved it, however the children’s entertainment was suddenly cancelled with no notice and had to ask to be informed, my son was very disappointed.
Ella (23 April 2018)

Lovely holiday park and lodge. Staff very friendly. Food in the pub onsite wasn't good and lodge could do with some updating
Keeley from Stockport (23 April 2018)

Loved every minute. Beautiful surroundings
Sonia from Honiton Devon (21 April 2018)

Lovely lodge and gorgeous grounds and location. Friendly helpful staff and ideal place to take the dog with us. Only downside was the hot tub didn’t work very well! overall though a very lovely place for a family break.
Donna from Waterlooville (16 April 2018)

We stayed in a waterside lodge with a hot tub friday to monday. Hot tub not up to temperature until the saturday morning. Lodges far too close together you may as well share a hot tub with your neighbours as absolutely no privacy when on the decking. Inside the lodges were lovely.
Catherine from Near Bath (16 April 2018)

Brilliant holiday, lodge and hot tub were lovely. Unfortunately the children's play area was out of action which was disappointing.
Sarah (14 April 2018)

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at hengar manor, the staff were very helpful and polite. The only criticism I have is that it took to long to be served at the bar in the clubhouse due mainly to understaffing.
Glen from Southampton (14 April 2018)

Ideal base location for visiting cornwall. Chalets are a bit dated and need a refurbishment programme. Staff friendly and very helpful.
Ken from Telford (13 April 2018)

I originally booked a lodged, however on arival the lodge looked nothing like the lodge on the website which had incited me to book the holiday. the kitchen was old and worn with some of the fittings damaged. the bathroom was gloomy and dated, I would not be comfortable staying in sub standard accommodation. I asked to upgrade but the only property available was a villa- this was also very dated with the carpet and sofas in poor condition with holes and stains .
Fleur from Exeter (13 April 2018)

Site very dated in places and disappointed the park was closed down due to being broken. We had one of the newer lodges which was the best part.
Mason from Swindon (13 April 2018)

A great holiday, although slightly let down by the somewhat dated and not the cleanest accommodation (hengar park villa) . having said that, for the easter break, it was sensibly priced. The country park itself is a delight, fishing, golf, wonderful surroundings, and an excellent swimming pool. The food in the restaurant was reasonably priced and very good. Evening entertainment was decent enough and will keep kids up to about 10 amused, teenagers may get a little bored. Overall would highly recommend this site, just try and get the best accommodation you can afford.

Hengar manor is fab overall. some of the accommodation is looking a bit tired these days (we have been going for many years) and needs a bit of a freshen up. other than that food and bar on site is ridiculously expensive - not enough staff often over charged etc. this needs addressing as the entertainment staff are working super hard and are excellent but people will stop going if food and drink prices are not addressed

The bungalow was disgraceful, it was messy, unclean and the couches had stains all over, it smelt old and musty. The bathroom kept leaking so the floor was far to slippery and we had to waste towels on drying it everyday. The pool was ok however the play park was out of order so the kids couldn't play on site.
Vicky (06 April 2018)

We booked hendra because we wanted a cheep short break in cornwall prior to a family event. Facilities as expected staff polite and helpful throughout. . swimming pool basic but functional (swim nappies available on the desk) . bar wasn't cheep (london prices) cash machine was not working properly but bar did cashback. A short bit of children's entertainment with attentive staff followed by kids then adult bingo. A show to finish the evening (some gental adult humour). . overall location was great if you drove. I can't say about the go active or spa as we didn't use. . bar tavern and shop wasn't cheep but then there was no pressure to stay on site. . . site is not close to anything but centrally located in cornwall. Check distances if you really want to go somewhere. We managed newquay and mevagissy.

We had a lovely stay in park lodge spacious and modern. It was a shame the adventure park wasn't open but had lots of fun in the pool. We didn't venture out anywhere just stayed at the park. We will defiantly be back

It looks better in the photos!. the waterside cabins are ok but they fall down on maintenance, our cabins outside furniture was damaged, odd chairs and the hot tub cover was falling apart. Inside the settee was on its last legs not at all comfortable and the blind in the shower room did not work correctly so privacy was an issue. These cabins could be excellent if they did the repairs only minor things. These issues should be corrected after people move out ready for the next customers it is not up to the client to complain the people who run the site should have regular checks.

The staff all lovely and helpful. The entertainment on the saturday was the best bit they really went out their way to accommodate us and the kids loved it! the apartment wasn’t great it wasn’t clean, we couldn’t use the hot tub on the 1st night which wasn’t that bad because we thought we would watch tv and relax! the tv didn’t work the whole weekend we had 6 children with us, so the tv did get missed. We thought as we didn’t have the tv we would let the kids pick an activity to do but even that was closed! the kids were disappointed there wasn’t a great deal for them to do. We made the holiday fun and done our best for the kids, but we did expect more for the amount of money we paid.

Second time we have stayed love the location for exploring north cornwall the lodge was clean staff very helpful only drawback was when we arrived given entertainment programme but nothing on sunday night which was disappointing for our 6 year old please do not put in print if not doing anything
Customer 149 from Newquay (19 February 2018)

We arrived on friday 16th and were promised three villas next to each other, we had two villas near each other and although the other one was a short walk, it was not appropriate for my grandparents. They had to walk back to their villa in the evening and their was no lighting on the paths which they struggled with and ended up staying in their villa at night instead of joining us which ruined their holiday. The following day, we used the swimming pool and spa, I was disappointed that the pool was so cold and a little surprised I had to pay extra for the sauna and steam room. The swimming pool changing rooms were also filthy and when I mentioned this to the receptionist, she was rude and didn't care. She said I will look in a moment and I will check the temperature of the pool but I doubt she did. In the evening, we booked a table of 18 in the main restaurant for an 21st birthday, we arrived to be seated opposite the children's dance floor even though the seating area in the restaurant was completely empty which was inappropriate. We asked to move and they replied 'if you move the tables yourselves' which we did but this is not acceptable customer service. Overall, my whole family were disappointed.
