Good place to stay for days out plenty of places to visit.
Shirlie from Hampshire (17 September 2016)

Lovely holiday. The hot tub was great. Good food in the bar, not too expensive. park is ideally situated for plenty of sightseeing. had a great time and would definitely return.
Cheryl from Southampton (16 September 2016)

Loved it and will definitely be back. Perhaps a better play area for young ones needed although it didn't affect us. Overall we were very happy and the accommodation was fabulous (minions cottage)
Pam from Stoke-On-Trent (10 September 2016)

Nice location and easy to get to other parts of cornwall. When waiting at reception there was a man being seen to. I was not with this man and was next in q, but this was not noticed and I was just left standing and the person after me was seen to. The receptionist did apologise and said she thought I was with the man who had since then gone out. Why would I still be standing there if I was with someone else? in coffee bar previous staff or before staff start there shift should make sure they have all they need. After waiting in a q for drinks there where no straws and staff had to go upstairs for them and seemed to be gone for a long time while our coffee was going cold.
Brenda from Luverpool (03 September 2016)

Myself and family made our holiday fantastic by leaving the site early every morning and coming back late evening so we only has to sleep there!! . the beds thankfully were clean but the rest was not great :(. the facilities on site were disgusting and we will not be returning!!
Gemma from Milton Keynes (03 September 2016)

Nice little cottage in a very ceonvenient location. Ideal for cycling and beaches.
Vijay (27 August 2016)

We had a very nice time.
Darren from Northampton (13 August 2016)

Had a brilliant holiday, the cottage was lovely, well equipped and clean (and i'm fussy) and we all loved the hot tub, we even decided to stay an extra night! kids enjoyed the indoor swimming pool and the onsite park, we were disappointed that the crazy golf was shut for refurb as it didnt say this when booking. The shop on site was handy and reasonable prices, they also sell bags of food to feed the ducks which the kids loved. We only ate at the onsite pub once and we thought it was very average food and expensive. There's not much near to the site so we went to different beaches every day which were all about a 30 minute drive away but we knew this before booking and we enjoyed getting out. I would definately stay on this site in one of the cottages again.
Jodie from Wolverhampton (12 August 2016)

We had a lovely stay.
Alison from Middlesex (06 August 2016)

It was ok but not particularly clean and slightly shoddy workmanship with things just coming off in your hand. also a lot of music noise from the club which is close to the cottages. Pool was ok as was the club but the advertised pizzeria has closed. St tudy about a mile away is nice with a lovely pub and is a good central location to explore.
Owen from Cardiff (30 July 2016)

Our cottage was lovely, thought the gardens could have done with a little cut/tidy up and some better garden furniture. the hot tub was ace, it made our holiday and when it wasn't working properly on 2nd day, the guys were very prompt getting it sorted.
Mary from Taunton (13 June 2016)

The main bedroom mattress was very uncomfortable. But the cottage was lovely and good value for money. Location was great nice and quiet but central cornwall so a good place to stay. The hottub was brilliant
Benedict from Corby Glen (28 May 2016)

Very nice cosy cottage and near to all facilities. hot tub nice but a bit squeezed in. would be better if it had a little decking around it. however very nice to pop in after long day sightseeing etc. really nice place for breakfast down the road and start of the camel trail.
Noreen (28 March 2016)

Minions was too cramped for a six person cottage. The beds in the third bedroom were so close together you kept on hitting your legs when moving in and out of bed. There was unsufficient heating in both the living room and third bedroom which was very worrying as with my six month old daughter and no heated rails in the bathroom which meant all towels were damp for the majority of our holiday. furthermore there were no hooks to hang up coats or towels in any room. The hot tub was the best feature but led down by the standard of accomodation. For the price paid it was not value for money.
Tom (19 March 2016)

Minions is a quaint cottage but too small for family of 5. Beds are very hard. Cottage is close to main centre but slight noise wasn't an issue. Go active team and reception staff excellent.
Sarah from Bordon (03 January 2016)

Merrymeet is a lovely little cottage but we did not consider it really large enough for two adult couples as the second bedroom is very small and there is not enough comfortable seating for four adults on the sofa supplied. a wet winter holiday with no where to hang wet coats was also a bit of a nuisance. Some of the facilities at hengar manor are in need of an upgrade in particular we were disappointed with the state of the tennis courts and the table tennis table. . the friendliness of the staff made up for these disappointments though and we did enjoy our stay.
Linda from Wales (30 December 2015)

The hot tub was lovely but because it was dark wet and windy for our week the outlook dismal. Would love to go back when it is better weather.
Ann Marie (04 December 2015)

A lovely place to stay, cosy and relaxing. Lovely park and staff as well.
Mary from Lincoln (24 October 2015)

Loved the whole week weather was perfect and hengar cottages was a great place to stay very central to some fantastic resorts
David (03 October 2015)

Great cottage in beautiful surroundings near to lots of locations to visit only draw back is they advertise free wifi but this is not in the cottage you have to go to the coffee lounge which is not open at all times
Julie from Rotherham (03 October 2015)

A very nice smaller camp just right for a very relaxing getaway. Fishing lakes and our personal hot tub were perfect and we made full use of these. Very friendly staff. Hopefully we will be booking merrymeet again next year.
Beverley from Dorset (25 September 2015)

The cottage was fine, perhaps lacking a coffee table and mirrors near the plugs in the bedrooms but ideally situated to visit all the places cornwall has to offer.
Patricia (19 September 2015)

The cottage was really quaint and pretty. We had everything that needed and the staff helpful and obliging. The food could of been better if it had been nice we would of eaten there more. Over all a good location we had a lovely time. Would definitely go back.
Mandy from Hythe Kent (19 September 2015)

We both had a lovely stay at hengar manor. We would recommend to friends and would love to come back in the near future.
Melissa from Exeter (18 September 2015)

We had an absolutely fantastic time at merrymeet cottage. the accommodation is comfortable, the hot tub is fantastic and the only downside was a slight lack of equipment in the kitchen (bread knife springs to mind!) I would most definitely recommend it and will be booking again for next year. thank you so much for a lovely holiday - we did not want to leave!
Mandy from Solihull (12 September 2015)

Overall it was dreadful, my mum sustained injuries to her left arm and leg whilst in the cottage, I went to alert the staff what had happened and I was shocked not to offered any medical help by the staff not even first aid, I had to asked the staff where the nearest hospital was and my dad drove my mum to the hospital, after a few hours in a&e my mum was told she had torn the ligaments in her knee and had to wear a leg brace and walk with crouches. This was our first day on holiday, no help from the staff. The second day we sat in the reception area to use the wifi when I heard my daughter screaming, as I rushed to her she shouted theses a wasp in my shoe, after taking her shoe off she was stung multiple times an in pain crying, not one of the staff in reception including the site manager came to help or offered any help, no one battered an eyelid. I asked if they had a first aid kit to which the receptionist answer yes but I can't give you anything, but this time my frustration had exploded and I took what I needed from the first aid kit an explained that I was more medically qualified to deal with a wasp sting than she was an I walked off, again no offer of help. Staff are rude unhelpful in any case an the cottage was dirty, unequipped for self catering potential dangerous, we'll never stay again for our own health and safety
Staci (12 September 2015)

It was a great central place to stay if you want north cornwall. We found loads to do for our children all within 30 mins drive. . on site the wooden playground was great fun. . the cottage was spacious and well equipped and done out to a high standard. The only negatives I can mention is the lack of activities in the pool, so take in your own toys if you have young children. Also the lack of finishing touches in the cottages (no coat hooks or towel hooks or anywhere to put your toiletries) has given it a score of 9 instead of 10. But we had great fun and the kids loved the log burner!!
Kate from Penarth (04 September 2015)

Lovely cottage well appointed but just needs some small finishing touches. park staff were great as was the pool. Great location to explore from as within 30 minutes drive from some lovely days out.
Stuart (29 August 2015)

Very well appointed cottage,we were especially appreciative of the ensuite bathroom and the well equipped kitchen. Very good location within relative easy reach of beaches-and supermarkets! would recommend for a family holiday.
Valerie from Chorley (29 August 2015)

Gorse cottage was nicely decorated but lacked the finishing touched you expect to see with a high end price tag. I don't think the windows have been cleaned since it was built ! what lets the cottage down is it's surroundings, the whole site is very tired looking. The swimming pool is dark, the slide had a crack in it ( just waiting for a child to rip it's skin off) and every aspect needs investment. We booked the cottage as a base to explore cornwall which is stunning but unless you love the on site entertainment booming at night until very late I would look to stay elsewhere.
Steve from Sheffield (29 August 2015)

Overall accommodation the minion cottage was fine, but things like dishes and cutlery were poor quality and not clean. There was a major lack of places to dry towels, just a few hooks on doors or hooks in the corridor would resolve this issue. The hot tub was a great addition, and was well used during our stay.
Karl from Cardiff (22 August 2015)

Lovely cottage but the location of the cottage means that you have no choice.....you will be listening to the evenings entertainment !!!! so loud . the reason we chose the cottage was it had a hot tub , but again you are directly opposite the restaurant so you end up being a side show for everyone going to dinner .
Julie from Hampshire (15 August 2015)

The well is situated right opposite the reception and entertainment area so was great for the kids. Wasn't too loud at night either. The cottage itself was plenty big enough for 4 adults, 2 kids and our collie and we spent much time sitting outside by the actual well. Only downside was the very small area for dogs to roam free.
Tracey from Northampton (08 August 2015)

Very pleasant modern cottage close to facilities peaceful pretty location 20 mins to beaches
Kerri from Hampshire (08 August 2015)

We stayed at hedgerow for a week in august. Whilst the facilities at hengar manor were good (pool, shop, playground etc), we felt that the cottage fell short. We have two small children and the location of the cottages (next to the main entertainment hub) was far from ideal when it came to the evening (which came with a non-stop bassline from the bar). . the layout of hedgerow was also difficult as the main lounge area is immediately off all bedrooms - rendering it unusable after putting children to bed. . the cleanliness of the cottage was good - but the carpet was filthy and heavily stained - difficult to believe this was part of the supposed 2015 refurbishment. . positives were friendliness of staff, location of the site and the pool area but we would probably not choose to stay here again.
Sarah from Hampshire (08 August 2015)

The cottage was fab, great central place to stay to go see the sights. Bit noises at night with staying so close to the bar but nothing that would put us off staying again. Presentation of the cottage was lovely with lovely added gifts.only thing I would say is the swing park needs lights as it is enclosed in trees which put my children off playing there. All in all great place and we will be back.
Candace from Scotland (25 July 2015)

Enjoyed our stay at the hedgerow, would stay again.
David (25 July 2015)

Very good!
Ross (10 July 2015)

We enjoyed our stay at the minions cottage, the hot tub was lovely. We went to the beach near by and played tennis plus had a nice spa treatment, also had some good food at the bar and restaurant it was a good long weekend stay.
Janice from Northampton (29 June 2015)

We had a perfect long weekend in the cleanest quietest wonderful cottage ever, we will definitely go there again!
Di from Wiltshire (15 June 2015)

Beautiful cottage. Recommend the tavern and morello's, food was delicious! only criticism is that the minions cottage was closely located to the clubhouse so would hear the loud music until late. Also felt the hot tub could have been a bit more private.

The cottage (the nest) was small but perfectly formed. It had been recently re-decorated and was lovely with a comfy bed and a log burner, a nice new kitchen and bathroom and lovely decoration. The holiday park in general was well kept and gardened nicely and there were some lovely fishponds to walk around. The location of the park was also great for visiting port issac, tintagel and padstow and it also wasn't very far south to polperro and charlestown etc. . . my only gripe was that it was near the entertainment centre and was pretty noisy at night from the loud music being played in the club house. The saturday night I arrived was unbearable. I mentioned it to reception and it wasn't bad for the rest of the holiday but I could still hear it and bought earplugs to go to bed. I would still stay there again though it was lovely but would make sure I packed my ear plugs.
Jane from Rowley Regis (16 May 2015)

Merrymeet cottage comfortable and modern, but windows, patio and furniture not clean. very small patio area with seating for only 2 whereas the cottage sleeps 4. kitchen needs more equipment and crockery. badly need a warning sign about the scalding hot water from the kitchen tap. hot tub great but squeezed into a space not really big enough for it. don't expect a full fridge freezer (as described), you get a small under counter fridge with a half shelf freezer - inadequate for four people. and expect to pay for all extras including wifi .. even though there is hardly any signal. however, stunning location .. the whole place is just dated and in need of investment.

On arrival we were given our keys for gorse cottage, it was actually being refurbished? the friendly staff immediately booked us into the braken! we booked this site because it had entertainment, it was just a shame that there wasn't a lot of people on site to make an atmosphere however, the entertainment staff continued like true troopers.

We had a lovely time at hengar manor. . it was quiet and friendly, ideal place to go to unwind and relax. Not too far from local attractions. But just as nice to stay on site and read a good book or two. . I went with my husband and we found that there were not too many children on site, which we find is a benefit. Swimming pool is lovely.

Excellent value for money. Very handy having a shop on your doorstep which was fairly reasonably priced too. Everywhere was very clean and tidy and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Play area could do with a bit of renovating but the children loved the pool and slide.

This is the first time we have holidayed in cornwall and we thoroughly enjoyed the holiday although due to the location we found we at to do alot of travelling. The cottage was lovely and had everything we wanted however the site itself appeared a little out dated. We only used the pool the once as the water was very cold and other than the slide there was not much there for the children although this didn't bother us too much as we paid to have an hot tub so we allowed the children to go in their (regardless of the age limit) with adult supervision. We had a lovely holiday and visited some beautiful beaches not too far away. We have already booked are holiday in cornwall for 2016 but unfortunately its a site elsewhere just because of the location.

Loved the accommodation as it had just been refurbished. The log fire was a delight as the weather wasn't quite as warm as we'd hoped. the nest is really close to the amenities but we weren't bothered by any 'nightclub' noise even though the music was quite loud. the only small complaint we did have was that the 'pitch and putt' was overgrown so not really playable and the service in the italian restaurant was really slow (so much so that we had to leave and eat in the manor house as we'd waited 50 minutes for our starters!). overall we would go back again as the location is perfect for visiting cornwall but would hope that the facilities were vastly improved at hengar manor itself.

It said we would get a compliment welcome pack that would consist of bread, milk, tea coffee and bottle of water. when we got there there was no bread or water and also the mike was just little milk saches like you get when you stay in a hotel. . . also the cottage smelt of smoke that must have come from the woodburner from the people before us. we did not light the woodburner atall when we were there.

The cottage had a few issues, . • it wasn't cleaned when we arrived. • entrance door handle broke off in my hand. • toilet and sink unit was leaking. • doors to bedrooms were really stiff to open, making it difficult to check up on our sleeping baby. • the location of the hot tub was right next to the main car park, making it difficult to relax. . the grounds and estate in which the cottages are set are very beautiful and picturesque, just felt like the rest of the site could have done with updating.
