Christopher from Warrington (09 September 2016)

Great relaxing break. The owner ross is very helpful. Beautiful and peaceful surroundings. Large garden was an unexpected surprise! lovely hot tub used just about every day!
Richard (02 September 2016)

Was overpriced. We have stayed in other lodges for less money with more garden space and better views. The lodge was nice inside although did smell of smoke a little when we went in. The garden was way too small and when we did have a nice day there wasn't anywhere to lay down, only somewhere to sit. The lodge is very remote (we are used to staying in remote lodges but this was on a whole new level!). staff were very nice but wouldn't stay in this particular lodge again, sorry.
Nina from Staffordshire (05 August 2016)

The owner visits the property at 9.00 am every morning to check the tub chemicals !can't sleep in or relax as you know he is in the garden and the dogs went mad.didn't want to use the tub in the morning because of the chemicals .security cameras all over the car park.you feel you are being watched.it has the most uncomfortable bed I have ever been in.springs going off every time you move.no shops within approx 8 . miles.however the lodge was clean had everything we needed and had a great garden for the dogs
Peter from Durham (18 July 2016)

Andrew from Warrington (25 April 2016)

Perfect lodge and hot tub .. just a bit out of the way .. but wonderful if you want to do nothing at all but chill and relax..
Edwina (18 April 2016)

We loved it here would recommend. a lovely escape from everything and everyone.
Louise from Rochdale (15 April 2016)

Brilliant place to stay for a chilled weekend. Weather wasn't the greatest but doesn't matter with the hot tub. If your looking for a walking weekend and a lodge in the middle of no where heartsease lodges are perfect. Owners were extremely helpful, example being the hot tub stopped working late saturday night and an electrician was down 1st thing sunday morning to fix it. The nearest pub was the red lion which was a good hour, hour and a halfs walk but worth it, friendly and amazing food. We walked there with the dog & because it was dark by home time the owner of the red lion offered us a lift home. Llandrindod wells town is about a 15 minute drive which has everything needed as in superstore, takeaways etc so even though lodge is in middle of nowhere everything needed is easily accessible. The lodge itself was perfect, clean & tidy, and equipped with everything needed. Couldn't have asked for more
Shane from Blackwood, South Wales (04 April 2016)

Lovely and relaxing and so clean
Lisa from Liverpool (25 March 2016)

Wonderful time lovely area wonderful lodge
Lynn from Seaford (11 March 2016)

We had a wonderful stay. We didn't need or want for anything during the time we were there. The lodge was spotless and well equipped. Ross the owner was lovely and we didn't notice when he came round to clean the hot tub each morning. We had a wonderful relaxing break and will be booking again soon.
Lisa (19 February 2016)

Susan (18 January 2016)

Lovely and peaceful place. Great way to spend christmas.
Andy from Birmingham (30 December 2015)

We stayed here over the week of christmas. The lodge was brilliant. Great layout, was fab having a washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher and a good sized freezer. The garden is large and enclosed so no worries of escaping children or dogs. Hot tub was amazing. Towels all included, as was a lovely bottle of wine for us and christmas chocolates for the children. Owners are very friendly and helpful. Extremely clean and well equipped (we easily cooked our christmas dinner). beautiful full sized christmas tree was up in the lodge and the outside had fairy lights on which really helped make a special christmas for us. Fully recommend
Matt from Kidderminster (27 December 2015)

Absolutely brilliant, relaxing break. Beautiful lodge
Emily from Bournemouth (30 November 2015)

Had the most relaxing break. Beautiful setting, just what we wanted a few days away from everything and this was perfect.
Tammy from Norwich (27 November 2015)

Lovely log cabin and hot tub , all mod cons provided.
Mik from Grimsby (20 November 2015)

It was a bit of a drive to the shops but apart from that it was beautiful honestly I couldn't get out of the hot tub it is that relaxing.
Natasha (06 November 2015)

A beautiful lodge in stunning surroundings. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the lodge had everything you need for a short break. . the hot tub was a very welcoming feature after a long day of hiking in the mid wales countryside. . we will definitely be booking again.
Charlene from Bridgend (02 November 2015)

Excellent, great welcome, comfortable lodge & lovely hot tub, we will be booking again!
Sarah from Kidderminster (30 October 2015)

Great lodge, perfect surroundings! garden brilliant for dogs, enclosed and very safe. Peaceful and quiet. Hot tub was lovely, however if raining, would benefit from being under some sort of cover.
Tracey from Warrington (19 October 2015)

Lovely tranquil place to stay.elan valley well worth a trip.ross very helpful with advice for places to visit.lovely man.been twice now and going back again. .love it ..
Christina from Wigan (16 October 2015)

2nd time visiting heartsease. Loved it, again! elan valley is well worth a visit. Went home with a very tired doggy!!
Laura from Rugeley (09 October 2015)

Great lodge in a lovely peaceful location. Fantastic for the dog as it's completely fenced round the garden. We would definitely visit here again.
Scarlett from Cannock (05 October 2015)

Gorgeous lodge in a gorgeous wales countryside setting. A great place to go to get away from everything for some peace and quiet. Only a 20minute drive to the nearest town. Not often you go somewhere tranquil and can star watch! lodge well equipped and lovely owners who are happy to help.
Rachael (14 September 2015)

Lovely relaxing spot and nice and quiet. A good distance from any towns of size, and all the better for it. Property is modern and clean and tidy with great hot tub. Would benefit from a map and visitor book perhaps so guests could share local things to do and of note. élan reservoir was a hit with the kids.
Gareth from Banbury (31 August 2015)

We like it quite, but this was too remote for us. We like walking, but there was nowhere to go only in a straight line and back. A welcome pack would have been nice with the very basics ie bread and milk,. with it being 8 miles to nearest shop[just as well we brought everything with us]. it did'nt spoil it however we went out everday, but we have to say we were disappointed. For the price we paid we were expecting some luxurys but found it to be very very basic,. we really did miss the comforts of home which made our minds up to go back the day before we needed to. But thankyou anyway
Geoff from Stoke (10 August 2015)

The perfect holiday to "get away from it all". had a fabulous time, and everything about the accommodation was quality! it is only a short drive to the town centre where the shopping facilities are excellent, with some local establishments that add that local flavour that we enjoy when on holiday.
David from Liverpool (07 August 2015)

Excellent! lovely owners, pet friendly, clean, fabulous lodge, private with attention to detail.
Kirsty (06 July 2015)

Too many flies and bugs. Location miles away from shops.
Minora from London (03 July 2015)

Fantastic place, peaceful, quiet so relaxing real home from. Dogs really enjoyed it the private secure garden meant they could be outside knowing they were safe. The hot tub just complimented our stay. I would reccomend this place and location, perfect ,
Luci from Tamworth (26 June 2015)

We stayer here for 4 nights. Couple with dog, the lodge is perfect very well kept and clean on arrival, ross is lovely and shows you around on arrival. . the lodges location is very remote but only a 15 min drive to the local town, its country side living if your used to it! . the garden is secure so dogs can roam in the garden. Hot tub is fantastic and maintained by ross every morning, he doesn't inturpt you in any way in the morning when he does his checks, the hot is so clean you can see your toes when your in it! and not an over powering smell of chemicals like many others I have used. . would recommend elan valley and powys castle for things to do!
Emily from Blandford Forum (12 June 2015)

We had a lovely holiday at heartsease lodge, very peaceful and quiet. The owners were a lovely couple and were very helpful. The hot tub was spot on. The lodge was very clean and well looked after. The dams at the eden valley are well worth a visit and bikes can be hired there. If you like peaceful places then this is well worth a visit
Raymond from Sunderland (05 June 2015)

We had a very relaxing break at the lodge and the surroundings were lovely. We took our two staffies who loved the big secure garden. Sitting in the hot tub every day watching the red kites flying above was a bonus. élan valley is a short drive away and a highly recommended place to visit as is borth beach. The weather wasn't too good for us, we had quite a bit of rain during our stay so it would have been better for us if the hot tub had a cover, but otherwise it was brill.
Jo from Dudley (08 May 2015)

Wow! what a location, friendly welcome everyday. Will definitely be going back soon.
Jane from Warwick (27 April 2015)

Excellent breakaway escape place

Lodge was very clean, with everything you need.
Margaret from Wigan (27 March 2015)

Fantastic first break away for my partner and i. Beautiful surroundings and the lodge is stunning. Just what we wanted; a peaceful getaway.
Jenna from Swansea (16 March 2015)

Fantastic lodge in beautiful surroundings. The lodge was very comfortable and had everything in it we needed. Our two dogs loved the big enclosed garden and the hot tub was nice and relaxing to sit in at night and watch the stars. Not far to the elan valley which is very beautiful and great for long walks. We are hoping to come back later in the year with our friends.
Lynda from Lancashire (13 March 2015)

It was great !. . ross (the owner) was lovely and helpful when asked about the surrounding area. . only a 9 / 10 for area as it's 20 min drive to nearest shop. But if u want to be out in the sticks it's perfect. . reviews about the do's and don't overpowering signs in the lodge are stupid, 'don't let dog in hot tub' , 'if you break a glass or plate let us know, you won't be charged, it's so we can replace it' , 'don't turn off hot tub'. I think they are all fair enough ! . will defo go again!
Laura (06 March 2015)

It was our second vist here. wonderful, relaxing and very private. we love the fact that it's in the country, away from noise. garden is enclosed and safe for dogs. enjoyed the hot tub a lot and it's reassuring that it's checked every day by the pleassant owner of the lodge. we'll be back again, hopefully.
Carol from Swansea (02 March 2015)

Stayed here too many times to mention and always fab. Staff always helpful.

Adele (15 December 2014)

Absolutely loved it and planning a return.
Hannah from Reading (28 November 2014)

Lodge is in the middle of no where, but great for walking holidays. The owners were really nice and welcoming. They also don't intervene in your holiday which was good.
Charlotte from Bromyard (17 November 2014)

Fantastic 4 days. Very peaceful. Just get into your head that you are in the middle of nowhere. Lodge around 15 min drive to llandrindod where theses a big tesco, aldi and co op. Very nice chippy too. Lodge was spotless, couldn't fault it and had all the necessities and extra such as tumble dryer and dishwasher with tablets included. Hot tub was excellent and was serviced every morning. Owner ross was very helpful and friendly. Didn't bother us too much but we knew he was contactable and willing to help. Would definitely recommend and stay again, very nice setting and relaxing, there is 2 lodges far enough apart where you don't hear each other. You wouldn't know anyone else was around. Some reviews have said about the roads, yes they are narrow but I was in a corsa and didn't find them hard to drive on or too bumpy etc. Our dog loved the big garden which was secure. Overall a very chilled and fantastic stay.
Matt from Derby (14 November 2014)

Outstanding, warm welcome spotlessly clean lodge with everything. You require for a relaxing break in the countryside!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A&Amp;L from Bridgend (10 November 2014)

Excellent if you want a getaway wind down holiday this is the place to go. Very pet friendly. Hot tub excellent. we will definitely be back.
Christina from Wigan (17 October 2014)

Lovely place, but location a bit too far from amenities for us.
Gemma from Steeton (03 October 2014)

Lodge is excellent, however the location is extremely isolated. the owner is overbearing and I don't see the necessity to check hot tub every morning between 9 and 10. when we eventually arrived he informed us if we want the high life we had better turn round and leave. he also said lots of people stay 1 night and go. thankfully there are 2 lodges so you do not feel so alone.
Angie from Bristol (03 October 2014)

Really lovely lodge but to many dos and donts plastered around the walls. Ross the owner a lovely man.
Jacqueline from Cheshire (26 September 2014)

Had a wonderful first time away with my partner in the secluded lodge, owner was also away with his family however his son was there if we needed him. Perfect weekend! my only issue was how far out the lodge was from civilisation, but that's a personal issue due to myself watching to many horror movies!

Gary from Stoke-On-Trent (18 April 2014)

We loved this place, we were on honeymoon and wanted to be in the middle of nowhere, this fitted the bill perfectly. we had our baby with us and a highchair and travel cot were provided, we also had our big bouncy dog with us and the garden was very secure for him. there are loads of walks in the surrounding areas and elan valley is just a short car journey away. be aware this is a remote place and lacks phone signal but if that's what you want then this is definitely the place for you. lodge had all amenities and was very clean and modern, not forgetting the awesome hot tub to relax in at the end of the day. thank you for a great week!
Tracy from Frome, Somerset (31 March 2014)

Mark from Warrington (02 September 2013)

There are two very private, comfortable lodges in the middle of the beautiful welsh countryside and they are just what you want if you need a holiday away from it all. These lodges are fantastic if you have a dog. the garden is totally secure so you can let your dog out without worrying and there are beautiful walks straight from the front door plus a jacuzzi to relax in when you get back. ross is very welcoming and helpful.
Julie from Crowle, Nr. Scunthorpe (09 August 2013)

We found the lodges far better than we expected on our first experience because they were exceptionally clean and had all the "white goods" that you could want.we were contacted on our journey to the lodge because the owner maureen was having personal problems but within an hour after our arrival she came to the lodge to personally greet us.the hottub was an added bonus and was well used in the snowy conditions.we will certainly be returning.

We were greeted on arrival, and given a brief tour of a secluded lodge in nice quiet surroundings. once the host had showed us the lodge, he just left us to our holiday and said if we needed anything to call his mobile. the host had also made sure there was plenty of information regarding local places to eat and see, and had also laminated a number of maps of local walks in the area, which was very handy.

Mrs W from Weymouth (11 April 2011)

Excellent place for a quiet break, very relaxing.
Mr N from Lancaster (28 March 2011)

It was total relaxation, very quiet surrounding and just what the doctor ordered to get me on the mend again, would recommend this break to anybody who needs to unwind and relax.
Mr H from Rowley Regis (25 March 2011)

Had an excellent weekend, was great to get away from and relax in the countryside. Lodge facilities are excellent, it's a home away from home, with everything you need! Hot tub was brilliant and we couldn't keep out of it! Only problem was we had to come home!!! I will definitely be returning, we had a fantastic time!!!
Miss J from Neath (18 March 2011)

Very relaxing and peaceful place.
Mrs B from Braunton (14 March 2011)

Perfect breakaway with great accommodation and gardens and walks for the dog.
Mrs B from Rhyl (14 March 2011)

You could not have done anything to improve it, it was PERFECT in every way.
Miss D from Worcester (04 March 2011)

The cleanliness of the lodge great - was lovely accommodation.
Mrs S from Hinckley (04 February 2011)
