Great location, well appointed lodge and excellent facilities!!
Andre (21 April 2018)

Excellent accommodation nothing to much trouble for the staff will definately book again
Linda from Colwyn Bay (21 April 2018)

Our third stay at this resort. lodges are modern, clean and well equipped. grounds are well maintained. relaxing environment.
Jacqueline from Bristol (20 April 2018)

Beautiful lodge with lovely views and excellent facilities.
Julie from Manchester (20 April 2018)

Our second stay - a great place to chill. Another fab stay at hawkchurch!. . we arrived a monday and were given our keys for the quinn lodge - luxurious, spacious and with all the mod cons including massive bed, double shower, roll top bath, 2 toilets, dishwasher, washer/dryer, wine fridge, 2 massive tvs and a decking area. . the hydrotherapy pool was very relaxing and pretty quiet so could easily chill out. . staff were pleasant and helpful. . can't wait for the next visit. . p.s. Remembered to take our free rubber duck this time!
David from Newport (20 April 2018)

This is a lovely peaceful site with a wonderful hydro pool.
Brenda from Bournemouth (20 April 2018)

We have been to the same resort twice which speaks volumes. The only small negative is the check in experience on the second visit. If we had not been previously we would have not known about the use of the facilities etc . we weren’t shown the restaurant gym or pool etc and no deposit was taken for a card ... luckily my husband remembered and went to go and get it but it should really have been covered! also as a result of the check in again our car took 48 to get put on the entry system and that caused us some embarrassment. We eventually got it sorted by a very helpful man on the site .
Darryl from Worthing, West Sussex (20 April 2018)

Cannot fault the accommodation, was home from home, one of the best we have stayed in, had wonderful weather so was out and about as we only had a short break, however I would like to try the spa and have a meal in the restaurant next time we stay.
Gary from Mortimer Common, Reading (20 April 2018)

What a beautiful place. Everything was lovely. Good location. Peace and quiet . perfect for our much needed restful holiday
Gillian from Waterlooville (20 April 2018)

A lovely place to stay with comfortable lodges and a great location.
Susan from Birmingham (17 April 2018)

This was our second visit here, and we are so impressed with the standard of accommodation and facilities that we will definitely be back
Carolyn from Bristol (16 April 2018)

Very nice relaxing break, staff very friendly and lodge lovely and most of all very clean. We were so happy that we have booked to come back again in november.
Linda from Gloucestershire (16 April 2018)

I spent 3 nights at the hawkchurch resort and spa for my 30th birthday. The lodge was incredible and was equipped with everything you could possibly need. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The spa treatments were amazing. My friends and I were so pleased with our stay.
Sherelle from Tamworth (16 April 2018)

Our holiday experience was lovely.lodge was so clean and lovely, staff welcoming and the whole place was clean, tidy and very peaceful.would definitely stay again and again.
Patricia from Southampton (16 April 2018)

I think this is the fifth time I have been here, all at different times of the year. it never disappoints, spotless beautiful accommodation, excellent facilities, extremely happy and helpful staff. plus the glass of bubbly on arrival. not forgetting excellent food and service in the restaurant. I will be back.
Carol from Halesowen (16 April 2018)

The fifth time we have been to hawkchurch. Peace and quiet, wonderful views and very near to the coast. Excellent accomodation, try the single bed lodge- impressive. Can't wait to go again.
Steve from Bournemouth (16 April 2018)

We love hawkchurch it has a lovely atmosphere and is always very clean and well looked after. It would be great if there was some space for the children to play- but appreciate this is more of an adult holiday park.
Wendy from Portsmouth (16 April 2018)

Excellent service from everyone from reception, bar restaurant and spa!. beautiful lodges and lovely resort
Susan from Birmingham (16 April 2018)

Lovely lodge, beautiful site, excellent spa, good value for money.
Anna from North Yorkshire (14 April 2018)

Beautiful and quiet location. Excellent restaurant. Ideal for adults. Ideal for visiting lyme regis and other resorts in west dorset:east devon.
Customer 20 from Bognor Regis (14 April 2018)

Very nice resort clean a b d staff very helpful. Would recommend this listing to others.
Sue from Horsham (14 April 2018)

We chose hawkchurch for our 10th anniversary. the staff were very helpful. We felt tgey went above and beyond to meet our needs. The manager was great and a lady called julie. Great restaurant and spa. Accommodation very clean. We recommend 100%.
Jane from Salisbury (14 April 2018)

Once again another break at hawkchurch looking forward to our next break there.
Sandra (13 April 2018)

Stayed here several times before and have enjoyed each and eveytime.
Greta from Wiltshire (13 April 2018)

Quiet site. Lodge spotless and well located. Think it should be advertised as an adult only site because it has nothing for a child to do.
Linda from Swansea (13 April 2018)

Excellent service and amenities are very clean, staff are helpful and friendly. Overall holiday excellent and we will recommend.
Michelle from Newport (13 April 2018)

Brilliant holiday, 5 days of bliss. Peace and quiet. Hot tub was amazing. Will be going back again this year.
Amy from Eastbourne (13 April 2018)

We loved staying coleridge lodge. The shower temperature was difficult to adjust but with 3 bathrooms it didn't affect our break.
Chris from Portsmouth (13 April 2018)

This is a lovely place to relax and unwind. The hydrotherapy pool was lovely as was the food and service in the restaurant. There are lots of beautiful places to visit nearby. . all the staff were pleasant and very helpful. . we would definitely return.
Karen from Warwickshire (09 April 2018)

A lovely holiday resort with great spa facilities. the hardy lodge was spacious clean and very comfortable with a home from home feel. we stayed over the easter weekend and the resort team organised an easter egg hunt which was great fun for my children. I would highly recommend a visit to this resort.
Karen from Esher (07 April 2018)

Really lovely site to escape to and enjoy the peace and quiet. Great base to explore the multiple resorts along the jurassic coast line and around devon and dorset but you do have to rely on the car where ever you venture out too. There is a small spa centre on site (no children allowed) a restaurant and a very small bar area. We stayed for 1 week over easter with 2 children and although there was absolutely nothing here for children to do, we did go armed with skates toys and a wii to keep the. Amused when on site. . staff really let the site down, a real unhelpful and unhappy looking lot who look upon you as an inconvenience to them. Other than this little issue, we had a great break and subject to price we would return and use as a base again.
Nes from West Midlands (07 April 2018)

Got an amazing last minute deal. Would not pay the full school holiday price. It could do with a little shop for necessities e.g. Milk, bread etc. The shop there was mainly gifts. The lodge was amazing and so was the hot tub. Really hope to go back but only if the price is right.
Penelope from Isle Of Wight (07 April 2018)

Ex accommodation. A bit isolated and not much for children to do but that's not a bad thing for some people. Hydro pool and gym ex. Restaurant a bit over priced but overall we would go back just get fish and chips from the sea front instead
Peter (06 April 2018)

Beautiful park and the accomodation was amazing, felt there could have been something more for children as they couldn't use the pool and there was only a small bar and restaurant. I left an expensive item behind when we left and the staff were extremely helpful in returning the item that was kept safe for us
Kirsty from Rhondda Cynon Taff (06 April 2018)

Superb accommodation, really spacious.
Selina from Cheltenham (06 April 2018)

Good location and nice clean and tidy site. Lacked larger bar area and not much for children below the age of 16 to do.
Ross from Christchurch (06 April 2018)

We stayed in the colridge lodge and absolutely loved it..very relaxing 4 nights! . our family of 7 had a fabulous time, loved the lodge, our best accommodation ever and we've been going on holidays like this for the past 12 years! . everything was fabulously clean..with hand and bath towels, extra loo rolls..a welcome pack of tea, coffee etc and also salt and pepper!. we had our asda order delivered straight to out lodge which was the best thing we've ever been able to do. The lounge sofas were the best ever..so comfortable and perfect for lounging on..as we do not have a bath at home (only a shower!) we loved having relaxing baths on holiday! . the washer dryer was truly the best, perfect when you have 5 children..and washed dryed clothes properly. the added extras such as washing tablets and dishwasher tablets was also great. They have costa coffee on site and enjoyed drinking a vanilla latte on the veranda with the hubby :) . water and central heating etc was all great and had no trouble with either. Nothing for the children to do on site but we were aware of that when booking and had already prepared the children. . instead we did days out to the fabulous local donkey sanctuary with a fab maze..to local lyme regis for cream tea and the aquarium..and bristol zoo, where we met up with the grandparents. Really didn't want to come home..and I think this is somewhere where we will definitely visit again. Staff were very friendly and helped with any queries we had..didn't use the spa or gym so can't comment on those. Also cooked our own food so can't comment on the restaurant.
Customer 37 from London (06 April 2018)

Really like the location and the accommodation. Didn't realised that the "indoor pool" was a hydropool that only allows 16 and above in. So we didn't get to use the park facilities
Yvonne from Epsom (02 April 2018)

The site and position of the lodges are superb with thought and care given to privacy as well as maximising on the stunning views of the devon/dorset border.
Patricia from Caldicot (02 April 2018)

Second time staying here and once again it was a lovely visit. Will be returning again soon.
Carly from Bristol (02 April 2018)

The resort and lodges were stunning , everything is nearly new and very well kept , the only downside was the settee and armchair in the living room , we found it a little uncomfortable, but I have to say it's an excellent place to chill and relax .
Gerald from Scunthorpe (31 March 2018)

Good location for both dorset and also devon, so very well placed. Lovely view over the valley from our lodge. nice small, peaceful site, with lodges not too close together and with room for 2 cars by lodge. nice restaurant and also a swimming pool; not very big, but still good to have one. we look forward to visiting again, may be in the summer when it's better weather to enjoy the coast.
Catherine from Truro (30 March 2018)

A really nice lodge on a very clean park ,we wouldn't hesitate to book again
Michael from Doncaster (30 March 2018)

A good time
Ann from Taunton (30 March 2018)

The park is lovely, well maintained but the lodge was abit disappointing. The floor in the lodge was damaged, both showers were faulty, the extractor fan in one of the ensuites didn’t work but once they were reported they were fixed. Unfortunately the floor couldn’t be fixed which I just felt that the amount you pay and you arrive to find the flooring damaged quite badly from a leek is extremely disappointing.
Sally-Ann from Newport (30 March 2018)

5 accommodation and on site facilities for adults. Not much near by you need to use your car to get anywhere or to shop.
Peter from Stoke On Trent (30 March 2018)

Really good holiday with a beautiful lodge. Only complaints were that there was obviously some sort of fly problem and the staff had sprayed fly killer but left the flys in the lodge which wasn’t ideal but we sorted it quickly. as well as this one of us requested an extra pillow, this was ignored and then we went to reception and asked we were told they couldn’t help and it would be down to the house keepers but didn’t tell us where we could find them.
Abi from Dorset (30 March 2018)

Great value for money
Neil from Deeside (30 March 2018)

Lovely quiet break away
Karen from Southampton (26 March 2018)

Fantastic time, staff very helpful in all aspects. Pool area very good. Shall defiantly return
Carol from Northants (26 March 2018)

The lodge was fantastic and great value for money. Very quiet and peaceful. Food in restaurant was not the best quality. Facilities inc gym were very bad. No equipment or space and very cold. Steam room didn’t work for the 2 weeks we were there. Pool was excellent
Rohana (26 March 2018)

Great weekend spent at hawkchurch resort & spa - would definitely return. . great value for money accommodation & facility wise. Only downfall was the showers were either boiling hot or freezing cold so had to keep changing the dial whilst showering. Other than this, no complaints. . staff very helpful! . . definitely worth a stay.
Jessie from Bristol (26 March 2018)

The hydro pool was brilliant. The accommodation was beautiful. Tv I each room
Doreen from Walsall (24 March 2018)

Lodge lovely well kept and beautifully set out.

Kim from Bawdrip, Nr Bridgwater (24 March 2018)

Lovely relaxing stay the lodge was very well appointed , hot tub was great even though the weather was freezing also hot tub was checked twice daily . very welcoming at check in with a very welcome glass of bubbles lovely staff .
Elaine from Evesham (23 March 2018)

Missed a day due to snow but was offered a refund immediately. very helpful staff. this was our second visit. lodge with hot tub was outstanding.
Lynn from Bognor Regis (23 March 2018)

Excellent accommodation . lodge superb . very pet friendly . staff helpful . will book again soon . excellent break so much needed after winter
Lynn from Liskeard (23 March 2018)

Nice break
John (23 March 2018)

We loved this resort. The lodges were spacious, clean, well equipped. The resort was in a lovely countryside location which was very relaxing. the staff were extremely helpful and cheery. we were snowed in and felt very comforted by the contact and reassurance we were given at this time. Extremely well handled in a professional manner. Well done!
Joy from Poole (19 March 2018)

Once more we had an excellent stay, we always enjoy the excellent lodges. The facial in the spa was bliss. The pool small but lovely. Sadly there was a blip (again) the sauna and steam rooms were out of order. The sunday lunch was excellent, our welcome wa. Very understanding about the snow
Patricia (19 March 2018)

Would recommend hawkchurch resort and spa
Linda from Worcestershire (17 March 2018)

Its our third break at hawkchurch and looking forward to our fourth, the hot tub as usual was well maintained as was the bedrooms and bathrooms , the only down side was the kitchen, the work surfaces and oven (on the out side ) were very greasy , they were cleaner when we left than they were when arrived.
Richard from Filton (16 March 2018)

Lovely place if you want peace and quiet the cabin was very nice and hot tub the bar and resturant was very resonabley priced and very nice food staff very helpful and freindly only downside would have liked somewhere to buy fresh bread on site
Brian (16 March 2018)

A very relaxing stay in a tranquil setting.
Elizabeth from Caerphilly (16 March 2018)

Beautiful lodge and surroundings and facilities.
Linda from Bournemouth (16 March 2018)

Lovely relaxing break in a lovely relaxing lodge
Isobel from Wells (14 March 2018)

Really enjoyed it however, I emailed reception before my stay and asked if you could do anything special as it was my boyfriend birthday, they said they could put balloons in the lodge but when we arrived there was none in there, this was a bit disappointing as I was told they would be in there. Other than that it was a really enjoyable stay.
Becca (12 March 2018)

We had a short 3 night break and were so impressed with the lodge. everything had been considered, including bin liners, tea towels, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, etc.. it was spotlessly clean and very spacious. we had a slight problem locking the door from inside, but called reception and someone came within 30 minutes and fixed it immediately. we then had another member of staff call on us an hour later to make sure we were satisfied. all the staff were very friendly, efficient and helpful. would definitely recommend this (and have already) to anyone.
Carol from Worthing (12 March 2018)

Fantastic get away at hawkchurch resort and spa
K-Marie from Exmouth (12 March 2018)

We had the most relaxing time possible. Very helpful staff on reception. Brilliant sunday lunch in the restaurant. Beautifully clean lodge. Have booked again!
Linda from Westbury (12 March 2018)

Very nice up market resort with top quality facilities. Nice, clean and tidy lodges, well looked after.
Norma from Boston, Lincolnshire (12 March 2018)

Very good place
Mike from Abergavenny (12 March 2018)

Loved our break away will be back
Laura (12 March 2018)

Very comfortable accomodation. Ultra responsive staff, heating stopped working and maintenance arrived in minutes and resolved. All staff very helpful.
Alan from Guildford (10 March 2018)

We were very impressed with the lodge. It was very appointed, very tidy , light and spacious. It fitted our needs perfectly. We never go to use the gym or pa but both looked good. We did eat in the restuarant for the fish and chip night - and it was very nice. . in the lodge our lounge area was great with two large settees and a nice big telly. It was a little high on the wall for out tastes but it worked fine and the apps allowed us to use catch up tv was a real bonus. . the kitchen had everything you needed from breakfast to a full dinner. . . its location is good for going to all the major sightseeing places and , in our case, not to bad for going to bournemouth. In axminster there is a big tesco which is only a few minutes away. so eating in is easy. Nice pub just up the road too !!. . overall we werre very pleased with everything on site and are already planning to look at other sites.
David (10 March 2018)

I had the most amazing stay at hawkchurch resort and spa, the staff where fabulous , the cabins where beautiful, I could not fault any part of my stay, I will be returning.
Jody from North Devon (09 March 2018)

Excellent as always
Barrie from Highworth (09 March 2018)

We stayed in a premier lodge for 4 nights . we made full use of the outdoor hot tub even though it had been snowing a few days before our arrival. the lodge interior was very clean & modern. With no expense spared on fixtures & fittings. The king size bed was fab too. Would definately go back. During the summer months . there is a bar & resturaunt on site which serves great food & had different offers on most evenings.
Jean from Stourbridge West Mids (09 March 2018)

Very pleasant looking lodge, however i'm surprised it would cater for a large group as there did not seem to be enough pots, pans, utensils etc. . the location was lovely though, very peaceful and good views across devon. The on site facilities were good and the staff were very helpful and polite. The restaurant food was very good - recommend the fish (whale sized) and chips, and the club sandwich at lunch.
Claire from Bognor Regis (09 March 2018)

Lovely spa and gym facilities, comfortable, clean well equipped lodge and all staff we spoke to were very welcoming and helpful. We had the same experience at bath mill retreat in december 2017.
Mary from Cheltenham (09 March 2018)

We didn't use the facilities because we were only there 4 nights. also had read some negative reviews about the spa and restaurant bookings.
William from Basingstoke (09 March 2018)

Excellent everything you could wish for in a very comfortable stay.
Mark from Westbury Wiltshire (09 March 2018)

Lovely and spacious lodge with a private hot tub. Friendly staff and very modern facilities. The menu was very appealing and our meals were really nice. Really lovely and relaxed atmosphere too. Would definitely stay again!
Alexander from Southampton (09 March 2018)

Amazing little diamond! can’t wait to go back. So relaxing!! will need a car tho to get around and visit all the breathtaking places :) . lodge was clean, spacious, comfortable and spa was just perfect . can’t rate this place enough! see u soon x
James (09 March 2018)

What a find. . stayed in the hardy premier with hot tub absolutely fantastic and very clean
Mark from Rugby (02 March 2018)

We had a great lodge (74), very well appointed, clean & tidy with a nice view over the axe valley, albeit betweeen other lodges, but not a problem. . we used the spa & restraunt, which were both very good.
Barry from Leigh-On-Sea (02 March 2018)

Had a great short break, need to go back as not enough time to see the area properly, very nice site but the tv in our lodge was a bit to high up the wall for comfort.
Donald from Alton (28 February 2018)

Lovely location ,accommodation excellent , on site spa steam room and sauna facilities very relaxing , cleanliness of the accommodation was our only niggle.staff very helpful and pleasant
Martin (27 February 2018)

Very clean and tidy have been twice and have booked again for may
Sharon from Trowbridge (27 February 2018)

Great accommodation, the lodge was nicely decorated and the furnishings made it a home from home. loved the hydrotherapy pool although couldn't get any of the jet streams to work when I was in there but I did see them working at other times so maybe easy instructions should have been available?. . a lovely place to visit with most amenities very close to hand.
Nigel from Bournemouth (26 February 2018)

The lodge was very clean and tidy, staff were very helpful.
Brian from Poole (26 February 2018)

Amazing holiday. Only down sides were that the hot tub wasn’t very private and there were no cloths/washing up liquid to clean up the kitchen with. Had I known this beforehand I would have bought some with me so we didn’t leave the lodge a mess when we left! other than that, everything else was perfect and we will definitely be returning.
Becky from Bristol (26 February 2018)

Great holiday would have been 10s all around but spa facilities not always working. Great when they were disappointing when not.
Sandra from Walsall (26 February 2018)

A great weekend away to celebrate a 50th birthday. The lodge had everything we needed and the hot tub was divine!. very helpful staff, good food on the restaurant and lovely treatments at the spa.
Philippa (26 February 2018)

We loved our stay with you!! staff were friendly and always there to help if needed!! . . the lodge itself was clean and there was everything you could need to get you started for your stay!!
Jessica from Cradley Heath (26 February 2018)

This was chosen at short notice primarily because we are new pet owners so were looking for a location that was dog friendly. the site itself is a bit out of the way, but once on site you would not know that. The main building area, although only using the reception, appears to be bright/modern/clean and tidy. Greeted by staff with a drink on arrival for check-in, nice touch. The lodge was very clean/warm/and for the price the amenities and facilities inside were just about everything you could think of. We did not get a chance to use any of the other facilities and used the site as a centre for travelling around the area
David from Gosport (25 February 2018)

Good place to relax.
Lynda from Burton On Trent (24 February 2018)

Lovely place and accommodation is spotless and very spacious . this was our second visit within a year as we enjoyed the first visit so much. The pool is not available for children and there is no park, but we took our children to the restaurant and they were able to play outside the lodge on their scooters safely, we also went for walks. Will definitely recommend to friends and visit again
Nia from South Wales (23 February 2018)

This is an amazing relaxing location and warm welcome with high quality facilities we will be returning soon
Helen (23 February 2018)

Excellent holiday due to wonderful park and above average accommodation and facilities.
John from Isle Of Wight (23 February 2018)

A truly relaxing break - all very calm, everyone was lovely and it was great to have the spa there for a treat. we also thoroughly enjoyed working our way around the gin wheel!
Lesley-Anne from Worcester (23 February 2018)

Great location, stunning views, spa facilities great.
David from Bognor (23 February 2018)

Absolutely great. Just the food of the restaurant wasn’t very good for the money we paid . but the rest was great a*
Veronika from Shrewsbury (23 February 2018)

Beautiful modern lodge.
Emma from Somerset (19 February 2018)

We were generally pleased with our stay although upon arrival, the oven did not work properly so our evening was disturbed whilst the oven was replaced. The washing machine also locked for some time, with our dogs lead inside which was quite annoying but resolvable. On our final day, we had planned to go to the restaurant for a roast dinner but we had to forego this as the restaurant had no gas and no means of cooking it. We were disappointed and had to instead drive and collect a takeaway, as we had no other food at the lodge. We would still return but want to make you aware of a few niggles.
Kerry from Bournemouth (19 February 2018)

The holiday overall was lovely, however the restaurant didn’t really cater for my children’s needs, staff very slow and ordered pudding didn’t say it had blueberries in which I think is wrong because what if they are allergic to them.
Amy from Burton On Trent (19 February 2018)

We were very pleased with the lodge when we arrived, then on the sunday afternoon at 4.44pm I rang reception to inform them that we had no gas or heating or hot water. I was told the maintenance man wold come and fix the problem, I waited for an hour and fifteen minutes and no one had arrived so rang again and reception was closed so rang the emergency number to be told an on call maintenance man would come, well that never happened either. as we had an infant with us I thought the lack of communication was a severe disappointment.
Alan from Chandlers Ford, Eastleigh (19 February 2018)

A great place to stay and the lodges were excellent.
Teresa from Weymouth (19 February 2018)

We stayed for a week in a hardy lodge at hawkchurch resort & spa in february 2018. The resort was well signposted and easy to find. The park where the lodges are set was very well maintained and the grounds beautifully set. The staff were helpful and friendly.
Anne (17 February 2018)

Had a fantastic time
Nicola from Isle Of Sheppey (16 February 2018)

What a fantastic site. I can't say enough. already looking at booking again.
Tina from Weston S Mare (16 February 2018)

Loved the accommodation spotless and comfortable. Spacious and a step up from the average lodge resort. Tv s in every room what a bonus the area is great for exploring too. The restaurant was excellent and the chef producing 5 star food. The beauty spa was very good and the spa but the hydrotherapy pool was a great addition but far too cold! turn it up. Too small to swim it would be great to get a pool on this site as it would have kept my children happy there is nothing for children here but they advertise it as famil friendly I feel it is not. Another grumble charging £50 for a dog for 4 nights is far too much and for that reason I won’t return.
Richard (16 February 2018)

A beautiful and spacious lodge. Lovely staff and great facilities.
Michele from Southampton (12 February 2018)

To sum up in one word -amazing ... great location, wonderful facilities, helpful staff... visited many times and will continue to visit.
Greta from Swindon (12 February 2018)

Perfection. One slight problem was our 7 year old grandson could not swim with us. The parents enjoyed the pool and spa.
Carol from Newquay (12 February 2018)

Relaxing
Ann from Taunton (10 February 2018)

We had a two-bedroom lodge each with an ensuite. the best layout of a lodge we have had as each bedroom was either side of lounge therefore giving privacy for each couple. would recommend this layout for two couples. site was well cared for and staff were friendly.
John (10 February 2018)

Holiday was great .lodge was lovely and nice spa but steam and sauna were very small so could only fit in 3 people.bar and restaurant area nicely decorated but bar area had very little seating and would be nice if there was an area where you could take eat that allowed dogs.
Christine from Southampton (09 February 2018)

3rd visit. We love it for a relaxing break.
Beverley (05 February 2018)

Dirty lodge, accommodation starting to look worn.
Aj from Kent (05 February 2018)

Enjoyable return to hawkchurch. beautiful surrounding countryside with no shortage of walks close by to enjoy. nearby lyme regis worth a visit too. staff pleasant & helpful as before. on this occasion we did not visit the spa facilities but plenty of people did, & the end results looked favourable. . the restaurant is vastly improved to initial opening days but sadly still some of the waiting staff could brush up on their customer services skills & not the obviously new staff, who were being trained. didn't detract from our enjoyment though. . hot-tub the best & extremely well maintained.
Debbie from Dorset (05 February 2018)

What a fabulous resort, great welcome, complete with a glass of prosseco, our lodge was superb, spotlessly clean, loads of space. The onsite spa was a surprise bonus, not very big, but it was quiet when we stayed so was fine. Wish I could have made use of the treatments but were fully booked, book in advance!. all of the staff we encountered were friendly, always happy to chat. The restaurant was lovely, food was great, not bad prices either. . the location is ideal for exploring the surrounding areas. . we had a great stay, will definitely be back!
Tracy from Cwmbran (05 February 2018)

We had a fantastic time at hr&s, we had a family gathering in two lodges for my mum's 90th birthday. We would like to return again next year.
Mick from Sandwich Bay, Kent (05 February 2018)

So peaceful and relaxing. Only 25 minutes away from home but feels like you're further away. It's so quiet there which is bliss. Been there 3 times now and will definitely go back again :-)
Roderick from Merriott (02 February 2018)

Lodges are quite nice, but found the beds very uncomfortable causing pain as very hard. We asked for a mattress topper or similar but they didn't have anything and was just told that she had slept in a lodge and had no problem. Ummm, so it doesn't matter about the customer then, as long as your alright. Lodge mainly clean except glasses which had to be washed again. We were unfortunately next to a lodge with a hottub which was whirring away day and through the night and then there was another hottub two lodges ahead. On top of that you then have the added noise when the hot tubs are fully on bubbling away for hours on end and then added noise of the people chatting etc in it. So not a pleasant experience. So got little sleep whilst we were there. I would hate to be there in the summer with the hottubs noise and wanting to leave your windows open or sit outside. Feel these hot tubs should be sited away from other lodges as you are paying a lot of money to come here and get no rest. Don't try getting a drink in the bar after tenoclock or even 9oclock they close. It was my birthday and the woman in charge in her 50s was quite rude and refused to serve us a drink as it was ten pm and it takes them 45 minutes to clear up. Unfortunately staff told me you cannot book and ask not be near the hot tubs. The hydro pool was very small, the steam room wasn't working, the sauna only takes two people so the pool/ area was full really at ten people, we were all watching each other to be able to move around. Way too small for the size of the site and amount of people. Quite noisy in there too with the fountains spraying if you can't tolerate noise too well. Price for dogs way too expensive at 50 pound for a weekend.
Dex (30 January 2018)

Great break - lovely, clean lodge with helpful and friendly staff in the bar and spa.they helped make our birthday celebrations really special. We will be back and would have no hesitation in strongly recommending hawkchurch as a great place to visit.
Lynda from Somerset (29 January 2018)

The only thing I had a problem with , is the spa on the sunday night it was a bit cold , and the steam room was out of action ,and the sauna was not that hot.there was one problem with the dish washer but that did not bother me ,they did write me a letter saying sorry about the dishwasher.i do like my sauna`s. The staffarevery friendly and very helpful.
Richard from Nailsworth (29 January 2018)

Lovely stay at this resort.
Nicola (29 January 2018)

When arriving the receptionist was ever so helpful. We have stayed at the sister resort in newquay and always had hot tub and have always had the best time. We decided to go hawk church for a change but opted out of the hot tub as it had a swimming pool on site, this was a mistake. Unfortunately you have to be over 16 to use the pool which wasn’t made clear when we booked. Anyway it wasn’t going to ruin our break we would just go separately. We both went to the pool 3 times and only once was the sauna and steam working which was really disappointing. One occasion the locker wouldn’t work and I was on my own in the evening and had to walk out in just my costume which was embarrassing to say the least. It rained one day and we went to reception to ask if there was any indoor/soft play locally that we could take our little one too and the receptionist was most unhelpful saying you could go into axminster and see if they have one. That’s the bad points the good points were the lodge was amazing, one of the best we’ve stayed in and the grounds amaculate. Lovely place to chill and escape perfect for couples but not so good for families.
Lucy from Plymouth (29 January 2018)

We were made very welcome on arrival with a glass of fizz and friendly helpful staff. although the first impression of the resort may resemble a barracks with rows of plastic chalets, in reality the quality and cleanliness of the accommodation and communal areas is excellent. the chalets are equipped with everything required for a comfortable stay and we would thoroughly recommend for couples or families with older children. all the balconies are on the front facing the roadways so privacy might be a bit of an issue during high season, especially for the units with hot tubs, these also tend to create an element of noise which may irritate those looking for peace and quiet. the hydrotherapy pool, sauna and steam room is an added bonus all year round, and the spa is reasonably priced and offers a good range of treatments. as a couple with a dog our disappointment was that the woodland setting and dog walks don’t really exist, the grassy areas at the time of our visit were very boggy and the so called woodland walk is a short pathway which goes between two gates, one of which is locked, so you have to turn around and go back. hence we were left with walking around the roads within the development. it is worth noting that there are no outdoor facilities for younger school age children either. finally, on the matter of the restaurant, this is a nice facility to have on site, but it has been slightly over egged. the quality of the food is adequate but not quite as special as the brochure suggests, however we were there in the quiet season so it probably gets better when there are more guests. overall we had a really good week and would definitely return again.
Devina from Dorset (29 January 2018)

Lovely relaxing weekend break with friends, wonderful location well equipt luxury lodge which is looked after and maintained well. . thank you
Michelle from Axminster (29 January 2018)

Was a nice weekend away and the hot tub just about topped it off, loved it and will definitely be going back soon.
Confirmed Holidaymaker from Bristol (29 January 2018)

Gorgeous place and a stunning lodge. We’ve been on a few lodge breaks now and this is up there with the best of them. My partner and my 2 pre school kids loved it.
Kevin from Essex (28 January 2018)

Lovely place to stay for a relaxing time. not really suitable for children.
Sarah from Worcestershire (23 January 2018)

We had the one bedroom lodge which was of the highest standard beautifully clean and very cosy with log effect fire. We ate at restaurant twice and especially enjoyed sunday lunch ,generous portions.
Stephen (22 January 2018)

Amazing weekend away, facilities were fantastic, would go back again and again. Staff were friendly
Maxine (22 January 2018)

A lovely restful weekend at a lovely location. Lodge fabulous, had everything we needed apart from a dvd player. would have been helpful to have basic essentials like bread/milk etc for sale onsite. Otherwise everything was great.
Kathy (22 January 2018)

This was our fourth time at hawkchurch resort and spa. I still think that this is a fantastic resort. We had a three bedroom colleridge lodge with hot tub which was amazing. We shared our lodge with some friends and had the addition of the hot tub as it was my fiftieth. I was a little disappointed this time as we arrived at twelve however we couldn't get into our lodge until two whereas on pasts visits they allowed us in early. However I do appreciate that two o'clock was still early as we weren't really allowed in until four and it is good that they clean the lodges thoroughly. My daughter and I both had a treament in the spa which was a nice treat however I only booked a treatment that was on offer as I found them expensive. Nice touch in the lodge was that the staff had left a card and balloons for my birthday though.
Ruth from Street (22 January 2018)

Excellent all round. Great accommodation and location to escape to for relaxing break.
Vanessa from Weymouth (22 January 2018)

Gorgeous little resort. Only a couple of years so still very shiny, clean and new! the pool, sauna and steam are a little bit small so I can imagine get crowded at busy times of year, but it was perfect on a quiet, rainy january weekend! easy cab ride to the river cottage canteen for a special meal out. Thank you hawkchurch, we had a lovely mini break
Andrea from Redhill (22 January 2018)

Absolutely amazing could not fault it!
Georgia (21 January 2018)

Great place for peaceful break ,lovely lodge and spa
Marlene from Warminster (20 January 2018)

Beautiful sight, lovely clean and modern lodges, staff very friendly, facilities very good but quite small, we would visit again
Lucy from Bristol (18 January 2018)

Absolutely wonderful place- food is nothing less than amazing!, taste, presentation, value for money. Every member of staff make you feel valued and nothing is ever to much for them and welcoming smiles go a long way
Alison (16 January 2018)

Lovely relaxing weekend, hot tub was lush, although had trouble with a broken lid, which the hot tub man said we had broken,he was quite rude to us,apart from that all over staff where lovely and welcomed to the site with a glass of bubbly ,very nice touch.food was delicious too.would of been nice to have a pool area for swimming in,pool was shallow and very small
Shirley from Paignton (15 January 2018)

Wonderful family break away, total peace and relaxation
Trudy from Nailsea (15 January 2018)
