I was disappointed that the bingo didn't link up with the other sites. No real incentive to get the tickets for a small payout.
Susan (27 October 2017)

We have been there many times with my 3 children. They would go every holidays if we could afford it.
Elaine (20 October 2017)

I never complain!!!! but I really had to this time. The caravan we stayed in was terrible. Very dirty cups (coffee stained), cutlery draw was full of crumbs . I had to soak all cutlery in hot soapy water to clean then as they were all greasy. Kitchen floor was covered in crumbs. Coffee table had sticky marks all over it. Seats around table were covered in crumbs. If it hadn't been for clean bedding I would have said there had been no cleaner in!!!. windows were covered in small child's finger prints. The caravan was very dated and at the end of its well worn life span.
Brenda (20 October 2017)

Single beds far to small for adults especially pensioner's
William from Edinburgh (14 October 2017)

We enjoyed our stay very much. the entertainment area could have been cleaner and the food was average. A lot of fried food and very little vegetables. Our caravan was clean and well stocked with equipment.
Patricia from Callander (13 October 2017)

Excellent park and the staff were very friendly.
Matthew from Elgin (06 October 2017)

Very nice caravan in beautiful spot. Our caravan was missing it's tv when we arrived but the helpful staff sourced a replacement within minutes. A great place to spend a holiday.
James from St Albans (06 October 2017)

The only bug bear I had with holiday was the disabled parking my wife who is disabled couldn't get a parking space because the parkdean vans were using the designated spaces apart from that the caravan was clean and tidy and the view from the caravan to die for.
Brian from Fife (30 September 2017)

We had a lovely holiday at grannies heilan hame great location could access the beach easily, lovely sea view from the caravan.
Charmiane from Marsa Malta (29 September 2017)

Excellent location. Caravan was reasonably clean but some crumbs etc noted (the vacuum cleaner was not working effectively though so this may have added to the problem) also damp dog smell present. Sofa was broken which we reported and may have been a real hazard for children.
Mk from Aberdeen (16 September 2017)

Holiday good. Caravan excellent although a few things missing in inventory. Very disappointed that we could not see our 5month old grandaughter in swimming pool. Also my daughter who has ms was unable to assist her partner putting her in & take her out of swimming float.
Customer 11 (15 September 2017)

It was ok found the caravan 2 far away from the facility's. Espeshily with a baby. Pluse the kids we're far 2 loud we could here them even in our caravan. Pluse they need 2 have wifi. Throut the park..
Luke from Casletown (11 September 2017)

Really enjoyed my stay and being near the beach was fantastic my grandson really enjoyed it.would go again no hesition.
Carol from Paisley (08 September 2017)

Really good for my 3 under 4 years old.indoor play area very small.all the rest great
Elaine from Edinburgh (08 September 2017)

Beautiful place. Caravan ideally situated at side of the beach. Dog not allowed in any facilities despite being told dog friendly. As a very remote area it made it difficult to eat out. We left our holiday early.
Ann from Ossett (02 September 2017)

Very good place to use as a base camp shame the bar didn't serve food later and there was no internet but a very good place for the money.
Mark from Abertillery,South Wales (01 September 2017)

I found the park lovely but the restaurant, chip shop and staff awful. We tried for one hour at lunchtime to get a soft drink at the bar with no luck. He was to busy moving parcels. I then went and asked the receptionist on duty how one got a soft drink. She advised me at the bar. I explained that we had been trying that for the past hour with no luck. She advised us to leave this on a review site and that something might then be done!!! grocery store staff were excellent though as were the park facilities. Beds awful. We stayed first of september 2016 for five nights.
Catherine from Leuchars (01 September 2017)

We had a lovely holiday at grannies heilan hame. The fact that we stayed on the sea front topped it all off. However, there was a bad smell in the caravan home. The carpets and sofa need a deep clean.
Hasina from Manchester (28 August 2017)

Great location could access the beach easily, lovely sea view from the caravan.
Helen from Thirsk (28 August 2017)

Perfect. A lot of room for a big family.
Mirza from London (28 August 2017)

Location of the caravan was amazing..nice beach, great views, wildlife a walk away, there was only 2 things we didnt like, the chip shop food was not great at all, and when asking the reception staff if they knew anywhere we could go to see/do attractions their knowledge seemed limited.
James from Easy Kilbride (26 August 2017)

I have enjoyed my time at grannies the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Sammuel from Walsall (26 August 2017)

Our holiday was great, very quiet and peaceful. However the restaurant was by reserve booking only as was the swimming pool and once in you could only stay in for 40 minutes. The food in the bar was nice and filling for the price. We were very close to the beach and this was perfect for us, it goes on for miles and is very clean, rock pooling was the children's favourite activity to do. . the games room was the perfect size as there wasn't many people there during the day, on a night it got a bit more busy.
David from Durham (25 August 2017)

Omg! we'd never stayed in a caravan before..we absolutely loved it. Very clean and efficient. everything we needed was provided. We didn't need the extra entertainment as we were so close to the beach, the kids went and played there everyday. There park was also good. Would recommed to families. beds were very comfy and the park was very quiet even though a lot of the caravan's wer occupied.
May from Bolton (25 August 2017)

Comfortable caravan..beautiful scenery..clean and tidy park..welcoming staff..
Keith from Dagenham (25 August 2017)

It's a fantastic place for family with children.
Vilija (25 August 2017)

Love this site, thgis was our second visit and im sure we will be visiting again .
Roland from Blackpool (25 August 2017)

Really great location and spotless caravan.good time had by all.only negative is how loud the entertainment is even during the day.its family entertainment but far too loud for children's ears.
Alison from Inverness (21 August 2017)

Restaurant needs an uplift and food not too good
David from Alyth (18 August 2017)

Very good . new and clean caravan . lots of space
Linto from Portsmouth (18 August 2017)

Grannies heilan hame is a great place to stay only thing I would say is it needs a bit of updating in regards to the crazy golf and the function room also more staff needed as waiting times to get served at bar or entertainment lounge was more than necessary
Emma from Elgin (14 August 2017)

Amazing place for outdoor adventures and family time. Will definitely return.
David from Aberdeen (14 August 2017)

The food in restaurant was not great at all.
Carol from Buckie (07 August 2017)

The caravan was good but it was just as well as the park itself was tatty and outdated - it needs to be razed to the ground and rebuilt. it was a hotch potch of buildings with bits added on and it looked and felt dirty and outdated. we are only glad we did not go for a fortnight, but just a 'filling in' weekend. . the pool was in poor condition and it did not fill us with enthusiasm when we needed padlocks for the lockers, rather than keys.
Kenneth from Arbroath (07 August 2017)

Lovely location, caravan was nice with great views but for the price it should have been. Pool was dirty, would not step foot in it again. *shudders at the thought of it*. we did not go any of the entertainment for kids apart from kids disco which we had to leave as it was too loud for the kids. Beach was tremendous.
Alasdair from Glasgow (07 August 2017)

Great holiday and will come back gransons love it
Mary (04 August 2017)

Absolutely loved our time at grannies, the only downside was our caravan was right outside the entertainment complex, so was quite noisy at night for the children. We would definitely go again though.
Pauline from Rothiemay (04 August 2017)

Great holiday and definitely one we will return to.
Angela (04 August 2017)

Overall the holiday was good. Like most sites I always find that the onsite food and drink is a bit expensive.
James from Arbroath (04 August 2017)

Brilliant for a low-organisation low-stress holiday with kids, friends and relatives. Well kept grounds, awesome convenience store, good variety for kids, amazing beach and views, well organised and very friendly. A bit dated around the edges (crazy golf, arcade games, some playground stuff) but nothing that spoilt the overall relaxation we got from our holiday. Good overall cleanliness, nice pool (booking system needs work :-) ), awesome walks in surrounding forests, nice towns and well connected for car drivers (haven't tried the busses).
Uka from Orkney (29 July 2017)

Thoroughly enjoyed our days there, wish we'd booked for longer
Karen from Aberdeen (28 July 2017)

The location of our caravan was fantastic - it was disappointing to find that there was no outside furniture with the van as this would have made it an even better holiday. . we did not use the onsite facilities that much however, from what I could see, others were enjoying them and I heard no complaints from fellow holiday makers.
Jill from Fife (17 July 2017)

Very well ran, clean and a very enjoyable experience, only disappointment was frozen chips rather than real chips sold at the chip shop.
Alan from Wick (17 July 2017)

It was lovely but just a shame there is much to do roundabout for the younger children
Susan from Peterheaf (14 July 2017)

Loved it! balcony was a brilliant feature especially as we have dogs. . lovely furnishings, great bed and lots of space!. looking forward to our next visit already.
Elizabeth from Monifieth (08 July 2017)

Fabulous holiday for me and my daughter (3). the beach is easy to access and gorgeous. so clean and quiet too. I gave the facilities a 9 simply because I never experienced the swimming pool due to an injury. . the kids clubs were amazing and my little one still talks about sid and lizzie, especially as she watches the cress we are growing from lizzie's garden. :) . staff around the park were all very helpful and friendly and they always had the time to say hello and give us a smile. I had a couple of issues with the caravan which were very quickly and courteously sorted out on day one. the caravan was clean and comfortable, no issues there at all. . . we will definetly be going back to this park in years to come. I'd also suggest you take a wee trip up to dunrobin castle for a day and drive back past the water to view the seals.
Catherine from Ayrshire (26 June 2017)

Beautiful location
Keith from London (24 June 2017)

Excellent value for money, everyone from granny and grampa, to the youngest family member - something great and free to do. The most beautiful beach, clean and litter free.
Irene from Edinburgh (23 June 2017)

Lovely relaxing holiday been going for years either in a tent camper van and this time caravan. Stunning beach great for snorkelling, rock pools, surrounding villages to explore. Restaurant was a treat avoided the on site chippy. The site just what needed to recharge energy levels. Shame grannies photos have gone after all its the history that makes this place. Will definitely be back.
Helen from Callander (16 June 2017)

Great
Edward from Bonnybridge (16 June 2017)

An ideal location to explore the north of scotland from a well appointed site. Quiet and on the coast so plenty of things to do.
James from Guildford (16 June 2017)

We spent 4 nights at the park was lovely and peaceful had a fabulous time the beach was lovely, can't review the restaurant as we didn't eat there.
Linda from Glasgow (02 June 2017)

Lovely spot. So clean and quiet.
John (29 May 2017)

Omg what an amazing time we had it's just such a beautiful place everyone and I mean everyone was dead nice we where only there for the weekend but wow is all I have to say we're def coming back for longer next time even my dog loved it
Janeen from Dundee (29 May 2017)

Loved out stay here the area is amazing. But i'm sorry to say the food and drinks were extortionate. I asked for red bull and got kick instead. yet charge for price of red bull. Nearly £20 for 2 breakfasts . . loved to place and would definitely go back. But won't drink or eat in restaurant.
Tracy from Bathgate (29 May 2017)

Great location, stunning beach, amazing scenery, wildlife awesome. Static van, site and all the staff pretty epic as well.
John from Whitburn (15 May 2017)

Loved this holiday caravan was spotless and so scenic I was no 3 and every night was an amazing view. the only thing was the soft play my daughter was nine and unable to play with her brother because she was over age limit so woulda be good to have a play area for older kids
Yvonne from Glasgow (12 May 2017)

Beautiful location and friendly staff. Nice caravan and clean. Swimmingpool is very little, and you have to book a time slot ( so 50 min. Maximum time in the pool )
Peter from Holland (01 May 2017)

I found the caravan dirty and outdated . I found the staff very rude and most unhelpful
Fiona from Inverness (17 April 2017)

Absolutely loved our easter break at grannies healan hame,we are going to book back up for in the summer holidays.
Andrew from Falkirk (17 April 2017)

The restaurant could not cope with the volume of holidaymakers. We could not get a table on the day we arrived. We were told the show bar served food, therefore we tried to order but there was an hours wait. Gad to eventually drive out to find somewhere in dornoch. after a 5 hour journey this was not satisfactory.
Caroline from Paisley (14 April 2017)

Cleanest comfiest caravan I have ever stayed in. Park was great. Staff very attentive to the children and always around. The shop on site was great and had a huge selection of things. We ate one night in the restaurant and found the food really good. The only negative parts were some of the reception staff were not very welcoming, rude and quite unhelpful with the children. we also used the on site chip shop one night and it was disgusting. Frozen fish and even the chips were terrible, however all in all a great caravan site in beautiful surroundings. Would definitely go back. Kids loved it.
Louisa from Montrose (07 April 2017)

I took my mum and her friend for a short break. We all had a ball. The scenery and sunrises/sunsets ate breathtaking. The caravan was excellent, and we will be back.
Eleanor from Alness (03 October 2016)

Beautiful area, staff very helpful . some small problems dealt with immediately. Evening entertainment was good. . a very quiet caravan park with great views. Will return.
Kevin from Middlewich (01 October 2016)

Ideal as a base to explore the local area, we had lovely days out accompanied by fabulous weather for the time of year.
Steve from Birmingham (26 September 2016)

We only ate once in the restaurant and did not use the other facilities. The meal was simple and a little disappointing, but it gave a break from cooking. If you are looking for a special occasion meal then maybe venture a bit further into neighbouring towns. It depends on your own preference. The shop is great for emergency supplies and having a chippy on site also helps with a quick fix of food. There are tennis facilities and mini golf, as well as a big playground for kids. We loved the fantastic beach, where we spent hours beach combing. It was a lot of fun.
Kerstin from Motherwell (24 September 2016)

Plenty of facilities and enjoyed the holiday
Ann (23 September 2016)

Excellent caravan, very clean. Great area and very helpful staff.
Catherine from Achnamara (16 September 2016)

Great base for touring the highlands.caravan clean and well equipped but bed mattress very poor, should have been replaced months ago.overall a pleasant stay with the lovely beach a short stroll away.
Michael from Cirencester (16 September 2016)

I had booked prior to reading the previous reviews and was a bit anxious when I did read them. The caravan we booked was very basic and dated but fairly clean. Couldn't get the fire to work and many of the heaters weren't working. It just needs an update if you can do that in a caravan.. previous reviews mentioned their caravan smelt of damp dog and I would say although we did take our dog, the smell of damp whether dog or not was overwhelming on arrival and throughout all our stay - it seemed to be coming from the furnishings and was worse when you moved around the seating area. The cutlery and crockery were not clean but as I always wash utensils before use, this was not necessarily a problem as the water was hot and once the shower was adjusted was also adequate. . the location is great (apart from the lack of phone signal or wifi - which you do have to be at the reception desk to receive.) there are plenty of great walks around and places of interest nearby to visit. A plus was that the caravans are not too crowded like many other sites we have visited. We didn't really use the facilities so can't really comment but staff were friendly although you felt they were not overly interested in welcoming you to the site - they may have had to do it several times by the time we arrived though...
Myra from Aberdeen (09 September 2016)

Excellent staff and facilities. Spectacular views.
Steven from Bathgate (02 September 2016)

Absolutely loved it, kids loves it too, would defiantly go back
Saima from Lancashire (02 September 2016)

We had a lovely holiday here. We went at the end of august when the scottish schools were back in and the holiday was much cheaper! great playground, super friendly staff, good sized shop and a pool that was actually warm! oh, and an amazing beach on your door step. Its also a good base for exploring the local area.
Sue from Manchester (02 September 2016)

The experience was a good one but the facilities let grannies heilan hame down. The swimming pool is extremely small and sessions had to be booked. If you have children this is not good! the playground area desperately needs updating. . the staff were very helpful and went above and beyond to assist. They were extremely kind, courteous at all times. The surroundings and location are fantastic. The beach is a stones throw away from the site and had my youngest enthralled for hours. There are plenty of interesting places to visit and do off site which kept everyone happy. There was plenty of evening entertainment for all ages. We would visit again purely for the location and surroundings.
Julie from Swansea (26 August 2016)

It was a great place but unfortunatle as my husband and son are allergic to dogs we book the ones that say didnt acccept pets ,as we got to the caravan the place stank at dog so we went to reception to ask for help they did spray to clear the smell but the next day and the rest of the holiday was the smell we where very disapointed as pay for the special one but sounds like people still take dogs to the ones that arent allowed :( so didnt enjoy as where worried all week and itchi , restaurant and shop where very good and swimin pool some of the receptionis wherent very helpull either
Ana (26 August 2016)

The holiday was amazing for relaxing and getting rid of your worries. As far as the entertainment is concerned it could do with a vamp up. Maybe have the adult and children section separate?? as I don't have any children and found there was no entertainment for me. Apart from that it was fantastic
John from Fife (22 August 2016)

It was a great location for us as we wanted to go around the highlands. Amazing view from our lounge to the north sea. . the only negative thing is that the location was a bit far from the main road (a9) via really small roads with passing points. . we enjoyed it so much.
Gabor from Coventry (22 August 2016)

Beautiful location.
Andrea from Huddersfield (13 August 2016)

Fish and chip shop on site had no fish. Restricted to booking 45 minute slot for swimming pool. site was clean and well maintained as was the pool.
George from Larkhall (12 August 2016)

The very best part was the beach. Caravan was great. Only downside was the pool. 45 mins is not long enough. The changing rooms are way to hot. Only 2 out of the 5 cubicles lock. Would be better if the pool was open until 9 or 10pm. That way you can go out day tripping then come back and go for a swim. Having said all that I would definately go back. The beach and location can't be beaten.
Heather from Dundee (12 August 2016)

The best ever caravan I have ever visited so far.
Jerry from Oxford (12 August 2016)

Verder prima.
Mariska from Almere (12 August 2016)

We booked a mon to mon stay in a 3 bedroomed van. Sadly we had no sea view and we were right by the shop/entertainment venue. So it was rather noisy. The van had an awful smell which had just about gone by the time we left. We found bread and crisps in 1 cupboard! some of the cutlery was dirty! but once we tidied, washed up opened the widows and lit a fragrance candle the van was brand new. We love the beach just wish we had more sun, and my boys enjoy the amusements. We played the 9 putting holes, which could do with some updating. We used our van as a base for sight seeing when the weather was poor. I will possibly book fri to mon next and book through the resort so I can pick my van. Love that we can bring the dog with us.
Gillian from Aberdeen (08 August 2016)

Expected entertainment on rainy wet days but felt very let down as there was zero on to amuse my little one or the adults. Found swimming pool staff very unhelpful and actually had a complaint against them I also found there rules completely stupid as to cleanliness in the changing areas extremely poor.. pools of water not draining away as they should etc. I believe the place needs updating badly and quickly as any one we spoke to expressed the same opinion. Please note beach and van made the holiday so yes I would stay again but would look elsewhere first.
James from Wishaw Lanarkshire (06 August 2016)

A very tired camp site. The pool is terrible, 45 mins at a time that has to be booked the day before, pool was dirty and kids not allowed to jump in despite a 6ft deep end. The location of the site has to have a bigger open access pool. Spa has a minimum age of 16 which is ridiculous. Facilities were not clean with sticky tables in the bar/entertainment area. Staff were young with little customer service experience. Arcade has old equipment and some that did not work. One pool table. Wouldn't go back despite a clean caravan.
Ryan from Inchture (05 August 2016)

Had a fantastic week, caravan was clean and well equipped as was the whole site, friendly and help staff, we had lovely views of the sea from our caravan and although being a stones throw away from the club house this did not affect us. Although a little off the beaten track it made a fantastic base to explore the many spectacular sceneries and attractions the highlands have to offer, overall a fantastic value for money holiday and would visit again in the future.
Andrew from Ipswich (01 August 2016)

We had a wonderful week enjoying all that the park and local area had to offer our only regret was that we were unable to secure a slot in the pool during a full 7 day stay! we did report a couple of maintenance issues (bathroom cold tap not working and extra bottom sheet requested) which took a long time to address (3 days +) gorgeous beach and loads to explore locally. Kids enjoyed the entertainment, so did dad (even getting him on the dance floor!!). great site to use as a base for exploring the area.
Sarah from Clitheroe (01 August 2016)

The caravans were spotless and the view stunning
Vicki from Buckie (01 August 2016)

Although the property was quite nice, it was not clean (found dirty underwear, lots of chips under cushions, dusty, etc.). the swimming pool is nothing, small, you're only allowed to swim 45 min., you have to book in advance (!! so not 2016!!). staff is terrible, if you bring and show them all the dirty stuff you found at the property they merely ignore it (saying 'sorry for that' is not easy probably). very high price for not much!. . never again!
Customer 89 from Amsterdam, Netherlands (29 July 2016)

Booked a caravan for a week. The area is gorgeous but our caravan was pretty dated and run down. Great base camp for exploring the northern highlands, lots of places to visit and plenty wildlife to see.
Tricia from East Kilbride (25 July 2016)

Caravan not clean sausage rolls left in microwave sheets torn. Resort in need of refurb. Play areas need new equipment only the location and beauty of area saves it.
David from Banff (18 July 2016)

Good entertainment daily for young children. Very close to the beach. Shop well stocked and prices reasonable. We were lucky with the location of our caravan. Would not like one close to the main building. Would be far too noisy. Caravan was great but was disappointed with the comfort of the bed settee. 2 people could not sleep well on it. The mattress is too thin. . lovely location. Great entertainment for children if you wish to use it. Not enough bar staff on and had a really horrible fish supper from the onsite chippie. There oil needed changed and we had to wait half an hour even though there was not a large queue. We didn't order a pizza as we were told it would take 15 minutes. If they'd put the pizza on when we asked for it it would have been ready before the other food. Not run efficiently. 45 minutes not long enough for pool slot. . overall though, we had a lovely holiday.
Fiona from Glasgow (16 July 2016)

Fabulous location, stunning beach. Caravan was gorgeous, really clean. Worth the extra to have a sea view with decking. Pool a bit disappointing.. staff not very friendly in there either!!
Laura from Dunfermline (15 July 2016)

Old caravan not worth it for mon to friday, located behind entertainment very noisy at night with 4 kids to put to bed, won't be back
Catherine from Blair Atholl (15 July 2016)

Have enjoyed my holiday at grannies heilan hame will be back.
Annette (15 July 2016)

Nice location, caravan had sticky finger marks on glass doors leading onto varender and drawer handles were sticky, could have been cleaner
Robert from Grannies Heilan Hame (15 July 2016)

Rubbish and over expensive
William (15 July 2016)

Excellent holiday. Enjoyed by both adults and kids
Leanne (08 July 2016)

Park dean troopers were very good and kept our little boy entertained. Special mention to clair she was fantastic! although the other girls were very good too! . food outlets (chip shop and bar ) were not very good value and the food was not of a great quality. . caravan was immaculate and lovely!
Fiona from Falkirk (01 July 2016)

Lovely caravan in lovely surroundings! would definitely come back!
Nichola from Fraserburgh (24 June 2016)

Nice location. Newish nice caravan. Unhelpful, grumpy reception bar and restaurant staff. The lady checking we were happy with our caravan once arrived was very pleasant, friendly and helpful. She seemed to be the only good one unfortunately.
Simon from High Wycombe (20 June 2016)

Very dated and run down
Gordon (17 June 2016)

Quite, comfortable and close to the beach.
James from Tranent (10 June 2016)

A really luxurious caravan in a great location. Excellent value.
Emily (04 June 2016)

This was the best holiday we have ever been on in the uk. What a beautiful location. The boys loved the beach, and we loved the open spaces.
Kerry from Wigan/Greater Manchester (03 June 2016)

We totally enjoyed every aspect of our stay at grannies helin hame the site is beautiful we had a sea view caravan which went down with our 2 boys, we travelled all the way up from stoke on trent and we arrived at about 12.50am and we thank full the beds we made up for us and we could get straight into bed. Our 2 boys were completely overwhelmed with the site as there was plenty to do for them. The caravan was amazing and fully equipped with everything you could need. We will definitely be staying here again.
Kerry from Stoke On Trent (03 June 2016)

We stayed here over half term break. The caravan was clean and spacious and had a stunning view over the beach and sea. Facilities are good. We took our mountain bikes and there are plenty of trails around the area. The beach is clean and safe for children and there were lots of rock pools to explore. There is a bar and fish and chip shop on site which we used once as very expensive. We enjoyed our holiday and touring the local area.
Astrid from Kent (03 June 2016)

Fabulous holiday loved the camp the caravan was beautiful and clean and very spacious. too many things and places to do could have done with another week. also very lucky with the weather it was scorching.
Jennifer from Seaham (03 June 2016)

I'm sure caravan said central heating it didn't blow heating thought the shop was expensive plus the fish shop and meals relay overpriced plus not a lot of meal on offer
Customer 109 from Redcar (03 June 2016)

Fantastic location - caravan right on the beach what could be better ?. the caravan and site were clean and functional. If you have children and dogs this is a great place to stay. Body boarding on the waves. Lovely walks to dornoch and plenty to do if you want to go further afield. We had a great dolphin boat trip at cromarty. Only issue we had was that a number of dead birds and a calf and sheep were washed up - our dog thought he was in heaven !it took 4 days for the calf to be removed - not pleasant sight . the site had reported it but the people responsible for moving it were slow. I understand this is unusual and was due to unusual weather out at sea.
Ailsa from Great Harwood (03 June 2016)

This was our second visit so we obviously enjoyed our experience. The only problem is the distance - approx. 450 miles - so with stops it took us 8/9 hours and it might put us off a third visit. Never the less we did enjoy ourselves and the weather was great on both visits.
Melvin from Astley, Manchester (03 June 2016)

My husband and I brought our 4year old grand daughter mon to fri also the wee dog. It was brill. Not too busy and so near the beach. Swimming pool was great and so clean. Shop was excellent and ladies in there were so friendly. Well stocked. Caravan was far better than expected and had everything we needed. Play park was also good and everywhere felt very safe. The entertainment girls were first class and our grand daughter couldn't wait to go to the club every day. Over all a great time had by all. The site was extremely well maintained. Always cutting grass emptying bins etc . many thanks
Joyce from Dumfries (27 May 2016)

The location is fantastic. The children's entertainment was perfect our 7 year old had brilliant time. The facilities could do with some updating especially the pool changing areas. Overall we love grannies and try to return most years.
Gillian from Midlothian (20 May 2016)

Lovely holiday - fantastic setting. . only problem swimming pool sessions had to be booked and the timetable was limited.
David (13 May 2016)

The holidays fine
Adam from Embo (02 May 2016)

Nice wee place ideal to getaway from it all
Martin from Fife (25 April 2016)

The time I was there it was quiet the accommodation the caravan was very clean night time entertainment very basic but good for the time of year I booked grannies because it broke my journey to john o groats and yes I would book again if I decide to return to scotland the only complain was the price of a pint and the fish shop did not sell cod also I did not see any local transport so I think people with familys need a car
William from North Shields (22 April 2016)

Very friendly resort with two tennis courts. Meals were good value
James from Aberdeen (15 April 2016)

Dated facilities, play park not fit for purpose
Leeanne (09 April 2016)

Been to this site about 30 odd times now and is the best holidays I have ever been on. If only one bad thing to say is that the troopers were not a good standard to other times and you did get the feeling the troopers had no idea what the plan was for the shows. But please this is just one thing!! the holidays will always be the very best.
Thomas (08 April 2016)

Was a super holiday! the swimming pool was pretty rotten but all in all excellent!
Emma from Fife (08 April 2016)

The shop on site was very expensive and items not priced
Patricia from Inverness (28 March 2016)

Very clean and extremely well kept park. Little expensive for the allocated time on machines after paying. Vending machines not working. Shop closed quite early on a sunday. Beautiful location. Caravan immaculate. Will be visiting again.
John (28 March 2016)

Shop was very poor and very expensive ..
Wendy from Blackpool (02 November 2015)

Wow what an amazing site everything you need for a good holiday. Entertainment was really good for our 6 year old daughter, she loved it and the beautiful beach, the arcade was good to. What better more than to open your curtains to a beautiful beach and sea view (just stunning). we saw two dolphins and a seal that kept popping its head up. The site was that good we booked for next year while we were there. Would definitely recommend this site to anyone. . . ,

The hot water was burning people. Restricted times to the swimming pool. Not much to do for kids entertainment wise. Caravan wasn't what I was expected. Heating don't stay on for long period of time.

The only downside was cleanliness of the van, very dusty, floor could have been cleaned better, rubbish bin in cupboard stank of sour milk, found a cash machine receipt behind tv which was dated 3 weeks prior!! cupboard door handles missing, quite a gap above door between bedroom and bathroom so cold wind was blowing in. The good thing was the bed was so comfy had great nights sleep. despite the above holiday was most enjoyable.

The caravan we had was ok could've done with a little bit more detailed maintenance as bits of trim were loose and electricians taped covered an old ceiling sensor. It was a pet friendly one so did not expect the top of the range. The location was absolutely perfect and we had loads to do with our boys (4 and 2) and dog. On site shop was good for an emergency buy, plenty of choice in tain or durnoch for bigger shops (asda, lidl or co-op). most disappointed with the pool, fair enough it was only a small pool and to save over crowding had to pre-book a time. But the many rules were ridiculous we only went twice in a week as it the boys found it soooo boring (and second time really cold). we were told off after 5 minutes for letting our youngest jump in the pool whilst we caught him, yes there was a sign to say no jumping (one of many signs around the edge of the pool). as a parent the safety of my children is paramount and even with competent lifeguards present I would not put the safety of my child in jeopardy. Both of my children have been going regularly to our local pool since they were 8 weeks old and are very confident around water. All the lessons they have attended they have been encourage by qualified asa teachers to jump into the water from the edge.it frustrates me when people quote health and safety rules to restrict activities as I am sure the hse do not want all removal of fun to be at their expense. . also the arcade seemed a bit pointless would have been better to convert to an indoor soft play.

We had a fantastic stay in no21 the views caravan which was directly overlooking the beautiful beach. Although there is lots of activities aimed at children and families, our daughters were too busy playing on the beach or paddling in the sea to get involved. The park is quiet even though it is full of families. I would definitely recommend staying here, particularly in the views caravans. My family will hopefully return one day.
Michelle from Liverpool (22 August 2015)

The location of grannies is beautiful. All in all if you enjoy the great outdoors and beaches that could belong in the movies you'll love this site. Only thing I would knock is the price of the drinks in the bar!
