Location beautiful. Lodge was perfect. Very clean. Staff were amazing. Definitely be going back and recommending to friends.
Clare from West Sussex (08 September 2018)

Good place. Although bathrooms need refreshing with decorating.
Deborah from Thatcham (03 September 2018)

Fishing and hot tub and peaceful location. If you want that it is a lovely place to be. If you want noise and lots to walk to then it probably isn't for you. Owners very helpful and pleasant.
James (27 August 2018)

Lovely location, lodges were great, generally very clean but a bit of a lack of attention to detail in some places, pictures hung (and framed) upside down. cobwebs and dust in the bathroom (sink / bath and toilet were clean).
Melanie from Maidenhead (17 August 2018)

Donna from Plymouth (11 June 2018)

The location and the scenery was outstanding and beautiful! upon arrival we was allowed to check in early however the service was rather cold. The cleanliness of the lodge we stayed in wasn't great either, I understand it is a wooden lodge and will have a bit of wildlife in it however when we opened the bedroom window the gap at the top was covered in cobwebs and multiple dead spiders...there were genuinely more dead animals on that one window than there was fish that my entire family caught the entire time. The hot tub was...ok? it went pretty warm but hot..not really, we was told it would go up to a maximum of 40 degrees when in reality it only went up to 37, we tried asking for a member of staff to have a look and even though the lady we spoke to was nice enough, nothing got done about our situation. Upon arrival you need to put down a £100 deposit as well, and when you leave your suppose to get it straight back. We have to wait just over a week to get it back as they claim to have overlooked it and I was told I was going to receive an email as an apology but that email never came. I came to goodiford 2 years ago and I had the time of my life, this time..i don't know why but the magic just seemed to be a bit lost.
Curtis from Plymouth (25 May 2018)

Wonderful short break so relaxing, foxy lodge was very comfortable with everything we needed and hot tub was huge bonus. we will definitely book again.
Margaret from Pontypridd (14 May 2018)

This was our third visit in 6 months. Absolutely love it there and can’t wait to go back again. We’ve stayed in foxey and woodpecker lodges and they are both fantastic. Staff are friendly and helpful and the fishing is great too.

Really lovely quiet setting. We stayed in the foxy lodge which is the smallest, perfect for two people. . the hot tub was clean and up to temperature when we arrived despite the snow, which was wonderful! . my only negatives are the bathroom & the mattress on the bed. The bathroom, while clean is clearly old and could do with being replaced as there is some black marks on the grouting & the shower head is mounted right in the corner which means you need to take it off to use it. The mattress is also old and very uncomfortable (even with a mattress topper on). the kitchen, living space has everything you’d need except for oven gloves (we improvised with a towel). we would stay again though. It was perfect to get away for a few days.

Excellent holiday beautiful location
Nicola from Milton Keynes (19 March 2018)

Disappointed hot tub was faulty with a part missing, was more like a hot bath experience than a hot tub. Staff were quite rude asked for 100 pounds deposit before we stepped foot in office. Lodge needs updadting and staff need customer service training and definitely could do with a new hot tub as the current one is not adequate.

Great place but we did get it very cheap. Rooms/lamps etc a little bit dusty so wouldn’t have been overly pleased with cleanliness if we had paid what others are seeming to have paid

Fab stay at goodiford mill. Lodge equipped with everything needed. One thing was that they didnt have any handwash in the bathroom. We would definately stay again and I would recommend it. Local pub close by and just down the road (by car) from a little town with food options and a tesco.
Chelsie from Wiltshire (12 February 2018)

We stayed in badger lodge, it was clean, cosy and comfortable. My husband spent time fishing whilst the kids and myself spent time relaxing and making use of the hot tub. It is a beautiful relaxing setting. We would love to go back one day, we had a fab weekend.

Myself and my partner have been here a few times. We always book here when we want a short , relaxing break and it is so lovely that we like the fact it's so secluded and has a lot of privacy plus we love the hot tub. The only downside is that the wifi is not good so we can't get any reception.

Absolutely stunning location, cosy lodges with a full range of appliances. Fantastic hot tubs. Bathroom could do with a better shower, bed could do with a firmer mattress, but this did not distract or ruin what was a fantastic break in wonderful location, staff were brilliant ( paul ) would definitely go back here.

Very relaxing week, very quiet, we stayed in foxy lodge which is the smallest, bed and lounge area is in one, if you want a separate bedroom you need to book a. Offer lodge. Hot tub was lovely. Hubby fished 3 times and caught fish every time.

The surroundings were lovely, but we found it to be not very private at all- we could see directly into the neighbours window and others could see us when we were in the hot tub. The lodge was missing simple comforts that would have improved the experience, eg, providing hand soap in the bathroom. Upon our arrival the heating had not been switched on, just the hot water, so it was very cold and unwelcoming. Luckily we worked this out for ourselves but it was not the best start. There were a lot of cobwebs on the walls. I was also told after paying the £100 security deposit on day 2 that I would need to strip our beds before I could get the money back, unless I wanted to wait for the bed stripping to be completed by the staff. Frankly I thought that was a bizarre request and it made me feel like we were a nuisance rather than guests. . the double bedroom was tiny and the lack of room was uncomfortable for my tall husband. The hot tub was hugely overfilled and splashed out loads and loafs of water when we first got it, which caused me concern as it was going all over the outside plug socket. . this is definitely the worst place we have stayed and would not recommend.

Lovely lodges, great surroundings, friendly and helpful staff, fantastic hot tub! the only thing that let it down (for me, my husband wasn't too bothered) was the smell. It had a very damp / wet dog smell. Maybe its because of the constant use of the hot tub or maybe we were unlucky and stayed the week after a dog. However we did stay in otter which I believe is the oldest one. . we had a fantastic holiday though.
Laura from Basingstoke (15 September 2017)

The place was very peaceful & the fishing was great the only issue we had was the main bedroom was so small we had to climb over the other one to get out of bed.
Karen (09 September 2017)

Lovely quiet location with lots of room for the family and everything you could need close by.
Nicki from Southampton (04 September 2017)

We booked this accommodation as it looked super online however it wasn't a great location and felt very secluded the lodge was very small and it's next to a fishery so it smelt. We didn't stay here we checked in to a hotel. . however staff was very helpful and gave us a full refund.
Hannah from Hampshire (29 August 2017)

Lovely place. Great staff. Beautiful surroundings.
Justine from Plymouth (28 August 2017)

We had a fantastic stay the location and surrounding were lovely. The hot tub was amazing we will definitely go back
Stephen from Bournemouth (28 August 2017)

We haven't booked with hoeseasons before so I wasn't sure what to expect. The lodge was perfect. Clean, tidy and comfortable. There were enough pans, plates and cooking equipment in the kitchen, towels were provided as well which was a bonus for the hot tub. The hot tub was great and the grounds were immaculate, really lovely hanging baskets. We had a wonderful family holiday.
Emma from West Yorkshire (25 August 2017)

Lovely little lodge, enjoyed the hot tub, you couldn't really walk that far as no pavements by main roads near by. But there's always the taxi which is worth going into cullompton as much cheaper for drinks then the two nearest pubs
Geraldine from Bournemouth (14 August 2017)

Beautiful location, ideal base to see devon, the lodge we stayed in had everything we needed and the staff couldn't do enough for us, I would highly recommend goodiford mill lakes
Karl from Birmingham (04 August 2017)

John from England (07 July 2017)

Location very peaceful & relaxing. . lakes beautiful with staff & regulars sharing tips on best way & areas to fish.
Kate from Poole (26 May 2017)

Excellent lodge in beautiful surroundings. Great value for money.
Mandy from Gloucestershire (05 May 2017)

My husband and I had a lovely time, our lodge was very clean and tidy. The only disappointing thing was that it didn't have much of an over look to the to river or greenery like the other lodges. We felt like it was squashed in the corner away from anything. The staff were very nice and informative about the area and things to do. Lucky we hired a car so we were able to drive to torquay for the day which was beautiful. We would stay again but may be in one of the bigger lodges.
Krystal from London (01 May 2017)

Me and my partner recently visited (24th-28th april) and what an amazing time we had! we wanted to get away for a quiet relaxing week and that's exactly what we had. Couldn't of asked for more friendly staff and value for money was brilliant. Cabin was lovely very cosy and hot tub was the best bit! would definitely recommend and will be returning without a doubt
Emily from Pontypridd (28 April 2017)

Needs a good update, half of jets didn't work on hot tub, bed squeaked if u leant on it never mind got on it, location of hot tub meant you had to lock up before you used it, toilet was a pain to flush, pillows were terrible, had to go out and buy some just to get some sleep.
Kerry (21 April 2017)

Brilliant can't wait to go back
Charlene from Birmingham (14 April 2017)

Very good, lodge was lovely, disappointed that we couldn't use the hot tub on the first day as it wasn't up to tempature
Katie (13 March 2017)

Great relaxing getaway in a quiet tranquil location lots of nice country walks but also close and easy access to local shops and restaraunts. Paul was very friendly and helpful
Michael from Staffs (24 February 2017)

We had a fab time. out of season so lovely and peaceful. amazing undercover hottub! lovely clean and well equipt lodge. Great scenery and walks.
Katy from Newton Abbot (30 January 2017)

Amazing place to stay ! lodges are a really high standard , hot tub was the best bit. Staff were very helpful and friendly . definitely will be coming back soon!
Sophie from Bristol (10 January 2017)

Very quiet location, reception wasnt manned whilst we were there, but the guy did come and go during the day. We were the only ones there for the duration. Clean and tidy lodge, very warm, full kitchen. Jacuzzi was superb and was hot on the second night. All in all a very good place to stay, cullompton and local shops only 5 minute car drive away.
Paul from Nottingham (07 January 2017)

Very enjoyable holiday and would be happy to return to goodiford mill lakes
Antony from Fleet, Hampshire (27 December 2016)

The hottub was the best thing about our break. there is no wifi or phone signal which we thought was wonderful, however some people could be put off by this. The lodge really has potential, but unfortunately everything was just a little bit tired and dated. The lodge was clean, and the bed was comfortable, apparently the mattress was new. The water pressure for the shower was awful (through a combination boiler) so new electric showers would do a much better job. Would I visit again?... probably not.
Catherine from South Wales (19 September 2016)

Lovely quiet peaceful location.
Amanda from Kent (10 September 2016)

Fantastic holiday, the staff were always very helpful and pleasant, we really enjoyed our time there and would love to come back again. You are out in the wilderness which is really lovely and peaceful. Thankyou goodiford mill lakes.
Donna from Narberth (06 August 2016)

Excellent stay, lovely lodge that was clean and as advertised. Hot tub was amazing and the whole thing was great value for money. All the staff we spoke to were very friendly and helpful. The location is the only downside as it is a bit remote but a very minor gripe.
Nathan from Bracknell (02 August 2016)

Lovely cabin couldn't ask for nicer staff really enjoyed my stay there 10 out of 10
Siana from Birmingham (26 July 2016)

This is our second visit. So needless to say we love it. Just off the m5 so convenient. Be warned the verandas are open so dog lovers take a long lead as the area outside the lodges allows the dogs to roam but must be kept on lead. It's also a good base for site seeing exeter is beautiful. We love the jurassic coast bit of a drive but good roads and worth it. . will definitely return.
David from Port Talbot (25 July 2016)

Had a great time thank you! would definitely stay again. Fishing lakes were great and so was the hot tub!
Sam from Dorset (23 July 2016)

We stayed in otter lodge for my partners 30th birthday, he is a keen fisherman and I have recently joined him in enjoying some good fishing. The fish were not as described on the website as we were told by one of the staff members when discussing the fisheries we were told they were smaller than what we had been led to believe online. However, it was easy to catch there due to quantity. The lodge itself was too basic, two of the beds were broke, the double mattress sunk into itself and one of the single was the same, which led us sharing one single bed in order to sleep. The sofa's were dirty and so we didn't want to sleep on them. I do feel that the staff were lovely and friendly, the lodges are a little too close together with little privacy, the hot tub became rather difficult to enter without the neighbouring lodge staring at me and we were watched the entire time we were trying to relax outside. I did like the fact that our dog could enjoy the holiday with us and it was clean from others dog mess anywhere on the site. We did buy new pans and cuterlry due to the ones we had being scratched or/and rusty.
Stacey from Staffordshire (22 July 2016)

It me and my partner's very first holiday together in 3 years and we could not have picked a better place! we left feeling so relaxed and happy, the lodge was gorgeous, the hot tub like everyone else says is amazing, definatly the icing on the cake! we caught lots of fish and the staff was to die for!! sadly we had a little incident back at home and might to have had to cut the holiday very short but the staff was so lovely and understanding that they did everything they could do to help us and make sure we spend the whole holiday there. I really can not recommend this place enough! we will be coming back here again without a doubt! x
Curtis (22 July 2016)

Beautiful cottages, small site which was great for a quiet weekend away. In a fab location to get to exeter and there's a local town 2 mins away in the car. The cabins are lively, but the site itself looked a little dull when we first pulled up, but once we were settled in it was really peaceful.
Rebecca (10 July 2016)

My partner and I loved our stay in woodpecker lodge! it was very clean, well presented and in such a beautiful, peaceful location. It was a perfect break for relaxation and serenity. . we received a phone call earlier in the morning of arrival, letting us know we had been upgraded to another lodge (woodpecker) - we were astounded with the great amount of room in the lodge there was. The only downfall was that we didn't have a bath; I really could have done with a bath bomb bath! . . I would definitely go again! I would reccomend it to anyone!
Lamiah from Brighton (29 June 2016)

Really great customer service. Loved the quality of accommodation and really felt at home!
Vanessa from Poole (26 June 2016)

Lovely place to stay.
Vicky (03 June 2016)

A spacious lodge in quiet location. the hot tub made a fun addition. the lodges were nicely spaced apart to give privacy to occupants. close enough to exeter and other interesting places.
Elizabeth from Ashford, Kent (24 May 2016)

Just the style of holiday we were looking for..peaceful
Patrick from Derby (14 May 2016)

A lovely relaxing lodge very peaceful and country side walks.
Kim from Bristol (09 May 2016)

Lovely, peaceful location. Good fishing on the lakes. Could do with wifi as there is no phone signal.
Allan from Derby (21 April 2016)

Another great stay at this quiet resort. Badger lodge has all you need including the fantastic hot tub which has a roof over the top..great in the rain! the lodges are in a good location near to the m5 so handy to get around devon. I'm sure we'll be back, thanks for another fab stay!
Debbie (28 March 2016)

Brilliant holiday! excellent value for money for two of us. My partner fishes so was perfect for him, although bit annoyed he had to pay extra on top of the lodge price. Staff were brilliant, easy to get hold of. Could ring them for anything. Lodge was really nice, clean, had everything we needed, apart from a hoover. Tesco and aldi were just down the road (5 min drive). lovely location, quiet and peaceful. Hot tub was brilliant. Definitely would reccomend and come back again!!
Laura from Bristol (25 March 2016)

Nice place, very relaxing. . when we arrived there was no one to welcome us and give us a welcome chat, left the key in the door and we let ourselves in. Same on leaving no one to collect key just left in the door.
Sarah from Acton (19 March 2016)

Hot tub was absolutely lovely boiling on arrival, helpful staff very good value for money tesco town and pubs 2 miles away. Lovely and clean- would definitely recommend
Evie (09 March 2016)

Absolutely amazing! went for hen weekend and had no complaints what so ever! even allowed to put up balloons, banners etc
Nicola from Bristol (07 March 2016)

Lovely time away nice and quiet hot tub was amazing, only thing I hated was having no phone signal as couldn't really relax as much worrying no one could contact me in a emergency with the kids
Zoe (29 February 2016)

Second time here, it's peaceful, quiet, cosy, spacious and clean, pack your wellies, bathers, food and wine and enjoy....bliss....
Elizabeth from S. Wales (22 February 2016)

This is our 3rd visit to goodiford mills and it certainly won't be our last. The lodges are set in tranquil countryside and are clean, tidy and have everything you need. the staff are friendly and helpful and the hot tubs are well looked after and divine! its perfect for relaxing and if you like fishing there are lakes on the doorstep. The keepers cottage pub serves delicious food and is not too far away.
Caroline from Burgess Hill (19 February 2016)

The lodge was not as pictured and the hot tub was not in a covered area. The site was miles from anywhere. Only fit for the fishing aspect nothing more.
Hiedi from Poole (13 February 2016)

Great location very quiet
Helan from Cornwall (12 February 2016)

This is a perfect setting if you are looking for peace and quiet. We loved the luxury of the hot tub and somehow the winter weather made it seem so much nicer .
Sue from Dorset (31 January 2016)

Good peaceful location.well maintained hot tub daily. Very clean lodge. And nothing was to much trouble for the owner and his staff. Easy acces to m5 motorway.also close to shopping and dining facilities. Definetly reccommend the site to any one and I will look forward to returning back there. Thank you for a very good holiday.
Andrea from Oswestry (21 January 2016)

When we arrived at goodiford mill, we were very disappointed to find the hot tub was cold (9). between the 3 of us, we book through yourselves often, and had never had a good hot tub on arrival. The beds were the most uncomfortable we have ever slept on. When we moved, the springs dug in the entire length of our bodies. The cutlery/crockery was poor standard and a wine glass was in the cupboard with a crack in it!! it also wasn't the cleanest lodge we have stayed in. I think goodiford mill should have a visit and rated accordingly!!
Nichola from Weston Super Mare (17 January 2016)

Great log cabin, lots of space and a nice big hot tub. Tesco supermarket and lots of pubs around for food. The way in to the site was flooded when we arrived so in bad weather I would ring in advanced and ask for alternative directions from the motorway because there is another way in, the owner took us around another way which we were thankful for, however he seemed annoyed at this and wasn't very friendly. Could of been resolved if alternate directions were given to us. Apart from that it was lovely and good site away from it all.
Claire from Staffordshire (03 January 2016)

Lovely and relaxing calm and peaceful. No internet which is nice as no distraction from the peace. Second time here and will be back
Robert (27 December 2015)

Brilliant holiday. Really nice place and great value for money
Alexander from Bournemouth (27 December 2015)

We booked to stay here for our mini honeymoon break after our wedding. After all the stress of a wedding it was the perfect place to come and relax. We will definitely be booking to come back and stay here.
Lauren from Swindon (23 December 2015)

Was a really good chilled out few days, only down side was there was no reception (that we could find anyway) so if we needed anything we would have had to phone the number left in the lodge, but there was no phone signal, so this would have proved difficult! despite that, I would definitely stay here again!!!
Robert from Larkhill (18 December 2015)

Loved every minute of our stay. Very relaxing just what we needed before christmas began. Would definately go back.
Rebecca (11 December 2015)

We have just returned after our second stay here. the lodge is lovely and has everything. You need and peace and quiet too. the hottub is amazing and a night under the stars cant bebeaten. our dog loved it too. we'll definately be back
Sue from Neath (08 December 2015)

Second visit and will return
Richard from Gloucester (07 December 2015)

Great break, tranquil setting, amazing lodge and fantastic hot tub! enjoyed every minute!
Sarah from Devon (06 December 2015)

Great place to stay for peace and quiet. Clean and comfortable, would definitely book to go again.
Nicola from Bridgwater (01 December 2015)

Goodiford mill was a let down when we got to the site we called and when they rang is back and was surprised I rang them even tho it tells u to contact them when you arrive the path way you drive down to get to your hut has so many holes in it u could hardly drive down it when we got inside there was a gap in the door so it let the wind come straight in to the hut and made the door shake constantly the hot tub was good but other than that wouldn't stay there again
Lucy from Bristol (21 November 2015)

Had a lovely relaxing week. The foxy lodge is basic but pleasant. Hottub was lovely but there is no where to dry your things after - everywhere started to feel damp after a couple of days. Didn't explore the area much but it seemed quite nice. Easily accessible from the m5. There is no mobile reception on site which I liked as could really switch off but you need to call when you arrive - so ring when you're nearly there. Overall it was a lovely, relaxing experience.
Anne from West Midlands (13 November 2015)

Been here a couple of times now, absolutely wonderful place. quiet, but ten to fifteen minutes away from two different towns that have a selection of shops so obtaining food and other supplies is no problem. recommend this place as a great place to unwind! hot tubs on both occasions have been great.
Alan (09 November 2015)

A great escape from it all.
Sue from Worcester (04 November 2015)

We had a wonderful 5 days at goodiford mill! we arrived and called the number who said that someone would be with us shortly. we found the key in the door and let ourselves in, and one of the staff arrived about half hour later as we were unpacking. log cabins were lovely! so cosy and everything that you need for a break away. luckily we'd arranged a tesco delivery for soon after we'd arrived, although there is a tesco very local, it was nice to have it delivered after a long drive. We were worried that it could be a bit cold, but it had full central heating and we were always toasty. the décor is maybe a little dated, and could do with updating, as could the bathroom, and the beds, as others have said, aren't the most comfortable, but it's perfectly adequate. The hot tub just outside is the absolute icing on the cake though! we spent quite a lot of time out there in the evenings and it was beautiful. the surroundings were so pretty too, even if you're not into fishing (we weren't) have a walk around the lake and take in the views, it's so peaceful, although watch the mud, it can get a bit slippy! it's quite a central place to have a nice drive out from, and only a few minutes away from the motorway. all in all a great little break, we'd definitely book to go again, no hesitation.
Jo from Grays, Essex (01 November 2015)

If you want to relax and get away from the world this is the place for you. Just what I needed after a busy year and would pay a return visit in the future
Malcolm from Chester (31 October 2015)

A lovely short break in a very nice lodge, clean and comfortable. fab hot tub! a great location in a peaceful spot, but near enough to the motorway to be able to visit favourite places in both north and south devon. was initially concerned after booking that the directions included crossing a ford, but it was very shallow and not a problem. would definitely visit again.
Marie from South Wales (29 October 2015)

We felt the lodge looked tired and a bit dreary. Some of the areas eg the bathroom would benefit from some attention. The bed linen looked old and having to hire the towels seemed like an inconvenience. I think they should be included in the price.
Anna from Penarth (26 October 2015)

A very relaxing stay and great hot tub
Yvonne (12 October 2015)

We had a very relaxed stay at goodiford mill, it is within easy reach of exeter. The lodge itself was very large and home from home. It's equipped with everything you need and it spotlessly clean. The hottub is an amazing feature which was very enjoyable. Will definitely book here again.
Carolyn from Highbridge (12 October 2015)

Great time at goodiford, lovely location and very peacefull. Would definitely return. . many thanks
Paula from Southampton (10 October 2015)
