Just what we needed. An escape from our hectic lives, in this beautiful, peaceful location.
Jeremy (27 August 2018)

The lodge was perfect in a wonderful setting. We particularly enjoyed the sauna. We had one meal at the hotel which was most enjoyable. We can't wait to go back.
Stephen from Belper (10 August 2018)

Old mill lodge is nice for a couple, but the views are totally different from the other lodges. Very relaxing, nice to get away from it all (minimal wifi at the hotel reception, but thats it).
Julie from Newcastle Under Lyme (23 July 2018)

This lodge is a perfect place to relax and unwind and is ideally situated for lovers of the great outdoors.it is rather remote but that adds to the charm and guests can avail of the facilities in the glen clova hotel which serves up fabulous meals.
Keith from Glasgow (13 July 2018)

Excellent lodge so peaceful hotel meals were fantastic had some great walks would definitely recommend and will definitely be back.
Morna from Dundee (06 July 2018)

Most peaceful week away ever surrounded by beautiful scenery. The scottish weather was very kind to us, no rain all week. The accommodation was first class with the sauna and hot tub included. We ate most days/ nights at the hotel and the food was delicious. Our dog came home for a rest as he was swimming in a loch every day. Only down side for some would be the lack of internet or mobile phone signal. Sheer bliss.
Diane from Aberdeen (06 July 2018)

Beautiful location brilliant meals at the hotel, quality lodge with everything you need maybe a tv in the bedroom would be an advantage but didnt bother us as we had laptops. Wonderful scenery and wildlife never seen so many deer and we have been to scotland many times
Alan from St Albans (15 June 2018)

Fantastic peaceful location and we loved the fact there was no mobile phone signal
William from Consett Co.Durham (01 June 2018)

A wee bit out of the way, but well worth it, lodge was great, hotel was lovely, all in an absolutely beautiful setting, great scenery all around, great place for hillwalkers. Had a great week there . would definitely go back.
Vincent from Cumbernauld. (25 May 2018)

It was just what we needed a short break away but not to far from home in case of emergency, the place was amazing will be back again next year.
Wendy from Dundee (27 April 2018)

By far the best weekend ever. My wife and I have busy lives with 2 kids, 2 dogs and working so to get away ourselves with no phones was just what we needed. Can't wait to go back.
Craig from Auchtertool (23 April 2018)

Fantastic lodge, very comfortable, thought the hotel reception staff were not particularly welcoming on arrival
George from Bathgate (23 April 2018)

Stunning. Will be back. Loved it
Jodie from Bristol (20 April 2018)

Stunning scenery, peaceful setting, outstandingly clean throughout (which is v important to us!) and great walking in the hills surrounding.
Robyn (20 April 2018)

The location was amazing and we will certainly be coming back in the summer months. there was so much to do and see without having to get in the car. my only one recommendation would be to have some form of retail shop selling basics within the resort, so that if you wanted to be completely car free then you could.
Tracy from Harefield (13 April 2018)

Very enjoyable week, fantastic location. Lodge just a wee bit tired in some places, a few lightbulbs not working. Hot tub great but one of the headrests was broken. Hotel first class for drinks and dinner.
Scott from Prestwick (13 April 2018)

The most beautiful place for our honeymoon
Simon from Blackpool (09 April 2018)

Excellent location for walking. To have a hot tub after 5 hours walking was pure bliss. Nice hotel with helpfull staff. Good food at the hotel.
Colin from Methil (02 April 2018)

Ideal place for a relaxing weekend. The lodge was better than we expected and the scenery was absolutely stunning. Will definitely be returning in the future.
Scott from Glasgow (19 March 2018)

We had a good time had to stay an extra day, because we got caught in the snow, and was snowed in but wasnt complaining the hot tub and sauna was amazing.
Carol from West Yorkshire (02 March 2018)

Amazing weekend in the snow will definitely return.
Karl from Liverpool (19 February 2018)

Wonderful weekend spent in a glen lodge. It was everything that we wanted and more. Can not recommend it highly enough.
Pamela (05 February 2018)

We had a great time celebrating my husbands birthday. It was made all the more special by the snowfall that greeted us on the saturday morning. The lodge was very warm and comfortable and we made good use of the hot tub and sauna.
Elizabeth from West Lothian (05 February 2018)

Fabulous location. Friendly helpful staff. Beautiful lodge. Clean and spacious. Everything thought disregarding provisions ect.1000 per cent recommended. Clogs is responsible for one of my happiest ever family memories..
Julie-Ann (05 February 2018)

An amazing place to visit. Perfect place to relax. Very secluded but 30 mins and to can get to kerrimuir.
Gemma (02 February 2018)

Relaxed away from it all, plenty of beautiful walks surrounded by the best scenery. It was nice not to have wifi or telephone connection for a few days... unless of course you needed when having a drink at the hotel in the warm inviting bar.
Nicola from Northamptonshire (26 January 2018)

Absolutely fantastic week in the cabin. Only down fall was no wifi in the cabin. Would definitely not put me off booking up again to go back.
Christopher from Stirling (19 January 2018)

Great getaway. Very well equiped cabin. Peaceful and quiet. Thank you.
Stuart from Bexley (12 January 2018)

Excellent lodge. hotel prepared to cook any vegan meal. No phone signal and wifi at hotel awful. lots of shooting going on, so can be noisy when trying to relax, and shooting groups walking straight past the hot tub, so lack of privacy. But a really nice cabin, roomy and comfortable.
Leon from Fife (12 January 2018)

Excellent place great walks and views, very friendly people, love the peace and quiet
Senga from Stenhousemuir (05 January 2018)

A cracking location, beautiful lodge with lots of privacy. We didn’t interact with the staff much as we did not need to, we were left in peace which was the main reason for going. Staff were cheerful and helpful those occasions we did meet. Glen cloca is perfect location to get away from it all and with stunning views and good walking routes in the doorstep a must for those who enjoy the out doors. Likewise the lodge is comfortable enough if you would rather just sit in the hot tub all week!
Sean from We Didn’T Interact With The Staff Much As We Did N (22 December 2017)

Idillic location for a totally relaxing break.
Wendy from Angus (11 December 2017)

Beautiful get away. Staff were lovely and the lodge was perfect.
Jade (04 December 2017)

David from Aberdeen (24 November 2017)

Stunning place to stay and walk. The saff couldn't do enough for us. Will definitely be visiting again. Lodge was very comfortable.
Alison (17 November 2017)

Perfect break away for our minimoon , just what we needed after the stress of planning a wedding!
Marie (17 November 2017)

Our third visit to glen clova, we love it here and have also recommended several friends who have also visited. Wheres our commission lol!
Mark from Bishopton (10 November 2017)

The lodge and the setting were perfect. It was a truly great experience
John from Newhaven (10 November 2017)

Brilliant lodge. So comfortable. hotel staff friendly and helpful
Karen from Forres (10 November 2017)

Was great going again
Alison from Dundee (10 November 2017)

Great holiday I have already recommended friends and family.
Mairi (10 November 2017)

Had a great time away my first time coming to glen. Clova lodge. Was very impressed with the look of the lodge and hot tub was fantastic. However when we went to use the cutlery and kitchenware some of it was dirty. Wasn't impressed with this as I think this is something that should be checked when new people are checking in. Saying that it's the only thing I can fault about the whole week and still had a great time.
Lyle from Dundee (03 November 2017)

If you want a very peaceful relaxing stressless holiday, this is the place to go. However, but this was a plus for us, because we just loved the semi remoteness, we are glad we came well stocked with essential food items. Every essential gadget was provided so whatever cooking style you preferred such items were there for you. we travelled to the nearest town in the middle of the holiday to restock on food items, not an arduous journey but we preferred to stay away from the shops etc. relaxing looking at the view and enjoying the peace was out of this world. Would think good place for serious walkers who want top quality comfort at the end of the day.
Howard from Nottingham (03 November 2017)

One of the best weeks ever! loved this place, will definitely be back!!
Ann-Marie from Aberdeen (27 October 2017)

We have stayed at the lodges several times now. Im sorry to say on this occasion it was not what we had come to expect . we had a problem with the hot tub and could not use it from the tuesday until the thursday evening . in fact we had packed the car and where going to go home on the thurday night. . . we will go back only because we had been before and love the area and the staff are great .
Garry (20 October 2017)

If it's a peaceful relaxing time away from it all, then this is for you. There is no phone signal, wifi only at reception so you are isolated.the surrounding hills are beautiful and there are some lovely walks.
William from Wishaw (16 October 2017)

Surprised my husband with a week away and couldn't fault anything. The hideaway lodge was beautiful along with the surroundings so peaceful and relaxing. Will be booking again soon.
Janis (13 October 2017)

Fantastic stay, cameron lodge fantastic. Staff fantastic. We will be back.
Simon from Aberdeen (02 October 2017)

Apart from a few bulbs needing changed the lodge was perfect. . we ate at the clova hotel bar twice the first night was incredible couldn’t have asked for better food and service. The second night was a different story unfortunately.
Laura (29 September 2017)

Bit remote - over 30mins to nearest town. Thought being in grounds of hotel would mean this wouldn't matter too much - but it did. Staff not really helpful with regards to walks to do in area and with issue with our lodge.
Sheila from Leeds (25 September 2017)

Fantastic location. Great for a getaway from normality and best thing, no signal!
Anne from Kirkcaldy (11 September 2017)

Beautiful lodge with lovely facilities.. loved the hot tub especially after long walks in the beautiful surroundings. Couldn't fault the staff they were friendly and helpful, the food was amazing. There are useful maps of local walks and plenty to see an do.. you would definitely need a car though! we had a wonderful stay and we would definitely recommend staying here, we would love to.come back in the future. :)
Charlotte from Fordham (11 September 2017)

Everything was excellent, we would definitely return. Small issues with the front door which was difficult to close and when using the microwave it didn't stop when open so microwaved hand when putting food in.
Jennifer from Perth (08 September 2017)

Fabulous place. scenery wonderful. Loved the old mill. . need to know it's 14 miles from the nearest town. good food at the hotel. nice little bar but quiet. wifi is touch and go really. otherwise lovely place. hot tub fab.
Frances from Liverpool (28 August 2017)

Absolutely amazing!!
Jessica from Gateshead (21 August 2017)

Wonderful, well equipped lodge. Everything was there, the welcome pack was helpful, and everywhere was clean. the hotel provided delicious food and was good value for money.
Debbie from Telford (11 August 2017)

Excellent relaxing holiday.

William from Glasgow (04 August 2017)

Lovely lodge and very friendly helpful staff
Daniel from Kirkcaldy (31 July 2017)

Fantastic! views, facilities, food, could not fault.
Philip from Manchester (28 July 2017)

Old mill lodge was a superb getaway for 2 with all amenities needed. Hot tub perfect. Internet was very limited and only from within the hotel reception area so maybe should consider option of satellite broadband installation and using long range wifi to supply lodges. This was known at the outset but would simply elevate glen clova to loch brandy heights!! loved it.
Gary from Cupar (21 July 2017)

Although in a remote location we had a very relaxing holiday. The lodge was very spacious and spotless. Was sceptical when they said that the hot tub is drained and clean before arrival but it was checked everyday and on the day of departure it was drained and cleaned. This was done as we left which was good to see.
Ian (14 July 2017)

We had fantastic service from all the staff, very warm and friendly. The game keepers bar is a must for a drink or something to eat. The cabin is set in beautiful surroundings and there are plenty of walks for all abilities. Glamis castle is 30 mins away with blair castle and scone palace 1 - 1.30hrs away.
Aidan (10 July 2017)

Lodge was fantastic, best one that we have been in only downside was sooo far away from local amenties and if need to eat elsewhere not many places about unless you want to travel but views were lovely and staff were so friendly couldn't do enough for you which was much appreciated.
Martin from Harleston (30 June 2017)

Absolutely fantastic
Jacqueline (26 June 2017)

We enjoyed our visit to glen clova and the lodge in general. The lodge facilities were clean apart from the outside decking. The surrounding area is beautiful.
Donald from Lochgelly (23 June 2017)

Great location. Great lodge, lovely hotel. Great are for walks. No phone or wi-fi - which is great.
Brian from Aberdeenshire (23 June 2017)

Had an amazing time at glen clova lodge, we were very lucky with weather which helped, even got to enjoy the outside bbq. Great location for walking, hotel food was lovely. Lodge was very clean and well laid out, sauna is an extra bonus along with hit tub. Will certain my be back.
Anne (26 May 2017)

Nice quiet break away . lovely location for a relaxing time , plenty of walks to do and nice bar , hotel on site
George (26 May 2017)

Fantastic
David from Canterbury (26 May 2017)

Beautiful surroundings in a brilliant, get away from it all location. the lodge was well equipped and I don't think i've ever stayed anywhere so spotleasly clean. hot tub and sauna were amazing. . only things I would say is to spend some money on the path to the hideaway lodges, doesn't need to be anything fancy but it could be better than the dirt track it currently is. . any staff encountered weren't very helpful and it had a bit of an air of you getting under their feet by being there which was a bit odd!. hotel was great, loved the bar and the selection of gin! the barman was friendly, knowledgeable and exceptionally keen to help. the hotel/lodge staff could take a leaf out of his book!
Charlene from Only Things I Would Say Is To Spend Some Money On (22 May 2017)

The old mill lodge was the best lodge I have stayed in the staff the hot tub the setting couldn't have been any better thankyou
William from Dunfermline (08 May 2017)

Hideaway good name we had total privacy the whole time we were there . great value . staff very helpful
John from Kirriemuir (03 April 2017)

Absolutely loved this lodge, accommodation is beautifully set out, immaculate everything spotlessly. Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, the area is stunning lots of wildlife to enjoy and wonderful walks. Exceptional is the walk to loch brandy and the corriefee. Have already recommended to all our friends
William from Killearn (24 March 2017)

Amazing place. Couldn't have wished for more. The lodge was cosy well equipped and spottless the hotel serves amazing food. I would love to return one day
Dawn (24 March 2017)

Fantastic area of scotland
Martin from Aberdeen (20 March 2017)

Lovely, spacious cottages. Really helpful and friendly staff in the hotel. Beautiful surroundings. Great short break although very disappointed that we were unable to use hot tub on the last morning as it was being prepared for the next customers. We've stayed at several lodges with hot tubs and have never been told that we were unable to use it on the last morning before. A disappointing end to an otherwise lovely short break.
Michelle from East Kilbride (20 March 2017)

Perfect
Antony from Nottingham (17 March 2017)

Great place, everything you could need in the lodges. adjoining hotel was lovely but off season dining times were a little confusing.

Customer 89 from Glasgow (16 January 2017)

Fantastic lodge and the hotel restaurant and bar were great, staff very helpful throughout our new year stay
Danielle (06 January 2017)

Wonderful lodges, glorious views. hotel next door which does good meals but sadly lacking in vegetarian choices. hotel used to do homemade pizzas and a special choice for the vegis along with the pasta. not sadly just cheesy pasta left on the menu so only ate at the hotel once.
Heather (06 January 2017)

Outstanding holiday! we will be back!!
Arron (02 January 2017)

Great lodges with fantastic views from the lodge and the hot tub. Really good food in the pub and all staff were very friendly and helpful.
David from Melton Mowbray (30 September 2016)

A lovely relaxing holiday with beautiful scenery.
Elizabeth from Dunfermline (26 September 2016)

Had a fantastic 4 night stay here! just what I needed being 7months pregnant! beautiful surroundings, very well equipped lodge with everything you could need. The hotel pub was perfect and the food in the restaurant was amazing! only down fall was there was no signal in the village, but that didn't matter to us as we were away for peaceful quality time! 100% be returning when the baby is born and I can have some real fizz in the hot tub!
Claire from Ayrshire (09 September 2016)

Had the most amazing relaxing break. can highly recommend this area and lodges if you want an undisturbed break. Food in the hotel was to a high standard.
David from Nottingham (12 August 2016)

Ideal hideaway with lovely views and walks all around.if you are looking for a quiet retreat then this is it,no phone signal or wi-fi in lodges.the hotel is two minutes walk away and has a nice menu.staff were very helpful and friendly.

Jacqueline from Darvel (22 July 2016)

Great lodge which was spotlessly clean. A fantastic 3 days.
Alan from Dundee (18 July 2016)

Great walks etc
Ann from Falkirk (15 July 2016)

We had a lovely one week stay in a clova lodge injuly 2016, the lodge was spacious, spotless and very well equipped. The lodges are located beside the glen clova hotel so there is always the option of going there for a drink and delicious food if you want a break from cooking. The sauna was the best in-lodge sauna we have used, the hot tub was re-filled and ready for our arrival and then checked daily during our stay, it was lovely to sit in the tub and watch the local wildlife. As stated in the brochure, there is no mobile reception in the area so this made for a real get away from it all break, there is however a wall mounted tv in the lodge with good reception of freesat channels. . there was a lovely walk from right outside the lodge up to loch brandy, fairly steep in places but not too strenuous and well maintained, take the opportunity to go on this walk on a clear day and you will be rewarded with fantastic views of the glens.
Derek from Blyth (15 July 2016)

We had an amazing holiday at glen clova we stayed at the cottage and it was spotless. The views surrounding were beautiful plenty of walks. The hotel served food and was of a high standard. A great overall experience we will be returning
Samantha (08 July 2016)

No real problem with the lodge other than not ready on time and fully accept not being able to use the hot tub after 8.00am on day of departure but to have the cleaner start swilling water around the decking and begin draining etc pre departure time of 10.00am is wholly unacceptable for the price charged
Stephen from Muthill (04 July 2016)

If you want to relax in a peaceful and quiet location this is the place to go.
Graeme from Blairgowrie (27 June 2016)

Awesome place for a chilled romantic weekend. Cabin was first class, hot tub was amazing. Will definitely be back soon.
Denise from Edinburgh (20 June 2016)

Beautiful surroundings, lovely lodge, just could have done with better weather
Mark from Penrith (17 June 2016)

Hotel food was lovely and good value. Very helpful staff .
James from Forres (13 June 2016)

Really good holiday, just missing a bbq, other than that, fantastic place.
Ben (20 May 2016)

We had a fantastic stay. The lodges are amazing with everything you could need. We enjoyed using the hot tub & sauna after a day out walking.
Claire from Alloa (20 May 2016)

Beautiful lodge in lovely location. the food at glen clova restaurant is excellent too. Take note though that there is no mobile phone signal for miles around.

Shirley from Edinburgh (29 April 2016)

This is the 3rd time we have been to glen clove lodges we have came ourselves & also with friends views are amazing don't think the lodges are too close together & the lodge itself was nice &a clean would go back again
Magz (25 April 2016)

We had a fantastic time. The lodges are so much more luxurious than advertised, we didn't want to leave! . . the food in the hotel is amazing, and the walk up to loch brandie is worth is for the spectacular views. . . lots of wildlife outside the lodge, and is very relaxing. . . . we will most definitely be coming back.
Kayleigh (21 March 2016)

My daughter got this short break with her husband for there 30 th birthdays. They said they would go back in a heartbeat . loved the lodge , the scenery , the walks , the pub , the staff ,the solitude ,no mobile phone signal and of course the hot tub and sauna . it was great and they will be back
Victoria from Grangemouth (21 March 2016)

We have stayed in a number of lodges now and this one was by far the best we have had. The hot tub was clean and the water crystal clear, it is emptied and refilled for each new arrival. The lodge was spotless on our arrival and everything in good working order. The views and scenery was breath taking with plenty of walks in the hills. I have recommended this lodge to a few friends and I will be returning again.
Peter from Widnes (11 March 2016)

Lovely lodge in beautiful surroundings. Great walks nearby. The lodge was cosy, clean and well maintained. The hot tub was a great luxury with snowy hills in background. Would certainly recommend and hope to return.
Becky (07 March 2016)

We had a fantastic time , lodges were beutiful with everything you need and a little welcome page of milk , orange juice, tea and coffee , lodge was spotless , the hotel staff were very welcoming and couldnt do enough for you , food was lovely also , cant wait to go back , best holiday every , hot tub and sauna amazing
Sheena from Dundee (07 March 2016)

Wonderful lodges in beautiful countryside. . the lodges are immaculate. there is very close attention to detail with a nice welcome pack including fresh milk and orange in the fridge. . it could only be improved with a privacy screen around the hot tub as somethings are best not seen.
Iain from Helensburgh (04 March 2016)

Beautiful location
Elisabeth from Near Aberdeen (08 February 2016)

Stayed in one of the clova lodges (glen doll). beautiful views while sitting in the hot tub or in the kitchen. comfy beds. lots of space and the underfloor heating was pure luxury. the welcome pack was a nice addition too as was the christmas tree. food in the hotel was amazing and staff lovely and helpful. the only reason that I have not give all 10 out of 10 (and it is a slight grip) is that we visited in hogmany season when the glen and forfar were flooded and had to stay an extra night due to the flooding. we had to vacate our lodge and kindly the lovely receptionist arranged for us to stay in the hotel overnight to allow the flooding to go down and for us to get home. there were 4 of us my husband, my son and my dad and me. we were given 2 family rooms (considering we had moved from a spacious lodge this seemed reasonable). what was not reasonable was that we were charged the price for 2 family rooms, which I do feel was a bit of a nerve as we pretty were a captive audience and we spent quite a bit more in the hotel on meals etc instead of cooking for ourselves in self catering. it might have been a nice gesture to have just charged us for 1 of the family rooms instead of 2 or at least put my dad in a single room. the hotel was not fully booked and refurbishment works were going on also so again charging full price for rooms is a bit disappointing and is the only reason that I would hesitate to book again for next new year.
Heather from Falkirk (04 January 2016)

I was very pleased with everything that glen cova had to offer the only disappointment was the weather but there is nothing I could do about that it would be worth a holiday in the summer time and the added bonus our dog was made very welcome.
Sheila from West Lothian (04 January 2016)
