Carol from London (07 April 2018)

Beautiful cottage in quiet location.
Alex from Uckfield (07 April 2018)

We have been visiting for 25 years, great fishing, lovely accomodation and peace! great for the fishermen to have an onsite cafe.
Marilyn from Forest Of Dean (24 March 2018)

Nice place to relax from daily routine
Viktoras from Bedford (17 February 2018)

We spent 4 nights in cerrig cottage. It’s a quiet location and we explored the surrounding area. Supermarkets were about 20 min drive. The owners were friendly. Two things would have made our experience better. The mattress in the main bedroom needs changing as it sinks in the middle. The cottage was very cold in the morning...more heating is needed.
Caviraj from Northamptonshire (13 January 2018)

Great christmas away with the family. Would definitely go again.
Customer 7 from Cheltenham (30 December 2017)

We absolutely love our holiday at ash lodge lovely wildlife to watch and really peaceful away from it all can't wait for next year we've all ready booked again
Adrian from Reading (16 December 2017)

I liked the place and the space in the cottage. I thought the location was a little remote but if you have a 4x4 it shouldn’t be a problem. the staff were lovely.
Rebecca from West Midlands (05 December 2017)

We had turned up to the park with our child and dog. We didn't even go get our child or dog out of the car. We left straight away as the photos that are shown are nothing like the place in real life. It was complete false advertisement. I felt that we were going to holiday in someones back yard.
Codie from Maesteg (28 November 2017)

Nice little cabin. very quiet like we wanted
Dan from Worcester (18 November 2017)

Lovely time away. Cottage had everything we needed and more. On arrival we found that there was no cot bed as requested yet as soon as we mentioned it to the owner he brought a cot bed, high chair and stair gate and installed them all in no time. Very friendly and helpful.
Debbie (07 November 2017)

Perfect and peaceful
Keith from Manchester (21 October 2017)

Lovely setting lots of places to see with in a short drive well equipped needed a little shop for basics
Stephen from Northampton (10 October 2017)

The lodge was lovely and clean and smelt fresh even though pets were allowed. . quite difficult to find, no one answered the phone and we had to keep driving around to find someone . . very quiet and peaceful
Tina (07 October 2017)

This has been a lovely relaxing holiday. The log cabin was clean and the owners and other guest were very friendly and helpful with everything you need set in beautiful surroundings with a well run lake stocked with first class fish-right on your doorstep-what more could anyone ask for.
Elizabeth from Swansea (03 October 2017)

Amazingly peaceful and beautiful setting
Pauline from Yeovil (09 September 2017)

We loved the location, it was so quiet and pretty.
Julie (19 August 2017)

Lovely setting in an c18 cottage. Would have liked a tad more storage but that's a little pedantic. Jamie is really friendly and helpful and i'd definitely go back again. The trout lake is beautiful even if the fish didn't bite :-)
Geraint from Rhondda (12 August 2017)

We have been staying at garnffrwd park for many years we always look forward.to our break there away from it all .
Adrian from Reading (15 July 2017)

Sharon from Downham Market (08 July 2017)

Lovely peaceful weeks holiday, would recommend to anyone who is looking for a quiet break.
Caroline from Oxfordshire (13 June 2017)

The cottage is in a beautiful peaceful area just a few minutes walk to the lake. The cottage is very well equipped with everything you need for a wonderful stay. There was just a couple of things that could be improved and that is there is no clothes storage in the twin room so my kids had to leave everything in the suitcase at the foot of bed where in my view a wardrobe could be with a sliding door for access. Also the mattress on the main bed wasn't the best as it folded up around you whilst sleeping, but that could just be me as I am very particular about mattresses. I must make sure people know that even with the two things that could be improved the holiday was excellent it was just what we as a family needed. Definitely recommend to anyone you can drive to pembry country park, tenby beach, heatherton world of adventure and botanic gardens and as well as all this go on local walks and enjoy the beautiful nature of south wales.
Kevin from Wakefield (10 June 2017)

Beautiful scenery and was a nice location for us as we used the area for a base to get to tenby / folly farm with the kids.
Gavin (03 June 2017)

Overall lovely location. Owner helpful and accomodation comfortable
Peter from Birmingham (27 May 2017)

Friendly owner very nice surroundings. Lodge was nice and clean. Only had one toilet tissue.
Janice from London (13 May 2017)

This little quaint cottage is absolutely beautiful. Location was quiet and peaceful, but not too far away for days out. Myself and my children didn't want our holiday to end. We will be booking again.
Suzanne from Birmingham (15 April 2017)

The brochure pictures are deceiving. The log fire, once we had cleaned it out and removed clumps of cobwebs was brilliant. . but the rest of the accommodation was cold - the radiators were just warm and we had no control over the heating. . the vacuum bag was bursting so we improvised. When I changed the bin bag the inside of the bin was dirty and there was grime and debris behind the bin. A real shame the potential is there but too many issues that should have been picked up before we arrived. really could not get comfortable and that's without talking about the decking. Sorry but absolutely will not be returning or recommending this!
Patricia from Kettering (11 March 2017)

It was a lovely place to stay. I just didn't realise it was fly fishing only when I booked.
Sue from Bristol (11 March 2017)

Lovely and relaxing, lodge had everything you need, enjoyed peace and quiet. Jamie helpful and friendly. Would like to visit again soon.
Stuart from Bristol (04 March 2017)

Nice & peaceful, lovely scenery and surroundings even the dog liked it.
Lee from Neyland, Pembrokeshire (25 February 2017)

Great break for our little family staff very friendly and even posted our baby's night light as we had left it there! views were great and large fishing pool
Carl (11 February 2017)

This is our 2nd year at this location,it's very relaxing, there is a big fishing lake right by the lodge, for any one who loves fishing,we would go out for the day then come back and relax with a meal, watch some tv,we highly recommend this place, really nice place to go.
Derek from Warwick (11 February 2017)

The owner jamie is a lovely helpful man, the lodge was great, maybe needs a little updating furniture wise, bedrooms and beds excellent, shower not brilliant but adequate for a few nights, even left towels for us to use. Good view from our window over the lake. Just not very good for our lurcher dog. He loves water, wish it was nearer to the sea for him. Other than that I would definitely stay again.
Linda from Birmingham (14 January 2017)

The lodge was beautiful, great value for money. Staff were lovely and the park is stunning. Would absolutely stay here again.
Daisy from Cirencester (07 January 2017)

It's one of our favourite holidays completely away from it all love walking around the lake and feeding the birds we have already booked again for july and december its so relaxing in the cosy lodge .and jamie and linda are a lovely friendly couple .
Elizabeth from Reading Berkshire (30 December 2016)

Lovely clean lodge in beauty surroundings. Great for trout fishing.
Melvyn from Preston (01 October 2016)

I feel that the park was not for us even though the location was very peaceful and back to nature. We really need some more activities and nearer to shops etc.
Michael from Clitheroe (10 September 2016)

We had a lovely time! the cottage was absolutely lovely, the surrounding was lovely, the location was I a little remote for us but if going for a relaxing holiday maybe without kids its great. . local amenities were fine when you can find them.
Karen from Billingshurst (06 August 2016)

To far from local shop and to dark on the site no lighting the lodge was lovely
David from Kirkbyinfield (30 July 2016)

This is an idyllic little spot in sw wales. The site consists of two lodges in open farmland with stunning views of the hills, river and trout fishery. The lodge had a balcony which is great for sitting out at night and as a bonus it's covered so even if the weather is a little below par, there's no getting wet. . . as I have a disability, I was disappointed to find out that car parking is not near enough to the lodge and as such, it was difficult in this respect. There are also four or five steps up to the lodge, but I knew about those in advance and whilst it was a challenge it didn't stop me.
Paul from Bacup (23 July 2016)

We were disappointed with the lodge. It looks like it is really a fisher mans lodge rather than a holiday lodge. The grounds that it is sat on is stunning but the lodge itself needs to be brought up to date and needs some tlc. The lodge is affected by a smell of gone off milk. It would appear that milk has been spilt on the wooden floor some time ago and left for too long. My wife tried to sort the smell out with white vinegar but with no success. The location is very quiet and peaceful but not a good holiday spot. We were booked in for a week but left midway due to the nasty niff.
Tony from Eastleigh (23 July 2016)

Beautiful location, great lodge. Peaceful and relaxing holiday. Perfect! will be back.
Judith (04 June 2016)

Excelllent, quiet location, would visit again.

Katie from Brighton (20 February 2016)

This wasn't our first visit, we have been to garnffrwd park a number of times years ago when we had our previous dogs. We re-homed a dog in december and felt that it would be nice to take her to this lovely, tranquil lodge. A fantastic place to take dogs. If you want a relaxing break, I would certainly recommend it. You definitely relax with the beautiful settings and can take a lovely walk.
Gary from Bexley (16 February 2016)

Tracy from Darwen (11 October 2014)

The location isn't the easiest to find as the sat navs seem to take you in a different route each time and therebare lots of single lane very narrow roads . if you come in from one end the angle to get in is very difficult to manouver. I was concerned about the electric fence and think there should be more warning signs especially near the lodge. Its very remote and no shops or pubs in walking distance . beautiful setting but very dark at night so wouldnt want to venture out
Susan from Clacton On Sea (23 September 2014)

Lovely views very quiet although a little difficult to get to down a narrow lane.

There were some mice walking around in the lodge, but we are not afraid of these little creatures. Of course there is trout fishery at garnffrwd, but during the evening twilight there are hundreds of bats flying at the lake side. Really amazing!

The road to tne park is a very narrow single track road with no passing places. On arrival we were told by some one living in one of the 2 houses that the keys were in the door. . in the information booklet there was a telephone number to contact if we had any problems.the owner was never seen and only contact was with an elderly man ( exmilitary) who advised us on places to walk to.although we said good morning to other people this was ignored. Due to the difficulty of negotiating the single track road we only went out on one day
