Excellent facilities in the accommodation. Very neat and clean. Quite noisy being by the main road but only stopped for a couple of days so didn't bother me too much. Very helpful staff and wardens.
Emma from Penryn (22 April 2018)

As others have said, the road is very noisy. No facilities on the site but I was only there to take my dog for walks and there is a lovely area directly opposite the site. Accommodation was very nice
David from Chatham (20 April 2018)

I wasn't informed that the clubhouse was not on my site and was a drive away.
Alison (06 April 2018)

Lovely weekend break caravan one of best i’ve stayed in
Gary from Cambridge (19 March 2018)

This small park is fine, caravan was fine too/ the only thing I would say is the traffic noise is awful! it’s a dual carriageway very close to the park and the noise of the traffic is constant!! even 2/3 am !
Marie (26 February 2018)

Brilliant weekend away
Harry (26 February 2018)

Lovely site with very helpful and friendly staff. I was greeted by steve upon my arrival who couldn't have been more helpful. When I left linda was at reception and she too was very helpful, she gave me lots of information on other sites that belong to the company. There was a problem with the electric on the first evening of our stay and the maintenance man arrived 5 minutes after I called him. He was also very pleasant and helpful. I will definitely visit forest edge again.
Tracey from Stevenage (26 February 2018)

The caravan smelt, utensils dusty. . although description states noise of main road it was horrendous we ended up leaving a day early due to lack of sleep
Rochelle (26 February 2018)

I always stay at oakdene but selected a deal at forest edge and regretted it upon arrival. . I wont stay at forest edge again.
Stuart from Basingstoke (25 February 2018)

It was a very peaceful and relaxing holiday. The site was basic but perfect as a retreat.
Darren from Llanelli (23 February 2018)

We had a lovely caravan at a bargain price for 4 nights. .but it is very noisy. .we didn't use any facilities only the bar on the sister site .not great beer.and expensive
Jeanette from Tipton (23 February 2018)

The lodges are amazing and surrounding area is wonderful for exploring and beach walks. Use of the neighbouring parks pool is useful was but a bit of a trek along a rather muddy route. The play park and shop were not available on our visit so cannot comment on those, play park looked like it would be good when finished though. Would definitely stay here again.
Imogen from Southampton (19 February 2018)

A lovely quiet site in the process of some improvements so not all facilities were available this time. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Will definitely go back again.
Jane from Steyning (16 February 2018)

We had a lovely weekend, the caravan was very clean and the heating kept us nice and warm in a chilly february. We used the facilities on the nearby oakdene park. . only downside was the road noise but we were aware of it before we arrived.
Rebecca from Swindon (12 February 2018)

We didn't see any facilities but it was nice and quiet and the van was super clean and modern
Ian from Retford. Notts (12 February 2018)

Lovely and quite park ,but quite away from the entertainment but very good swimming pool and sauna ,nice entertainment, lovely coffee bar.
Susan (06 November 2017)

Had a great time.
Iranga (06 November 2017)

Would be great if there were a few more facilities on site. Road was extremely noisy. Heating only worked in lounge and bathrooms
Naomi from Melton Mowbray (20 October 2017)

3rd time we have stayed here and it is has been a pleasure every time.
Kelly from Cornwall (13 October 2017)

Handy quiet base for visiting friends and relations in the area. Caravan was an older model but clean, comfortable and perfectly adequate.
Veronica from Worthing (13 October 2017)

Lovely stay, clean and tidy lodge, staff very friendly and accommodating, neighbouring park a few minutes walk away with good facilities for use. Would definitely stay again.
Daniel from Dover (02 October 2017)

Good basic accommodation. Lovely small park with many owners staying on site. Lovely helpful and friendly staff. Next to hurn wood for lovely walks with our dog. Would definitely stay again
Duchess from Colchester (29 September 2017)

Lovely site spoilt by lorry depot next door loading up from 3 am making lots of noise
Susan from Nn10 (29 September 2017)

Very nice and quite when we stayed
Rodney from Gibles France (29 September 2017)

Liked the fact that the park has limited on site facilities so there is no noise from the bar etc at night which can be a problem on some larger sites. If you are looking for loads of on site entertainment then this is not the park for you. . . the park is next to a very busy road so the road noise is constant, including throughout the night. . also didn't realise until wednesday night that the park is not too far from a race track where the local idiots can go drifting etc so expect a lot of noise from that too. . park residents not the most welcoming - seems it's fine for them to make as much noise as they like at all hours of the day ight but if you are there as a renter then if you so much as sneeze too loudly expect them to complain to the staff running the park. . some park staff very friendly/helpful, a credit to their employers, others.. not so much!
Customer 25 (22 September 2017)

We stayed at forest edge because we wanted a comfortable and cheap base, from which to visit the new forest and surrounding area. It suited us perfectly. The accommodation was very comfortable and well maintained and there were so many places to visit that we ran out of time.
Jane from Kent (22 September 2017)

Customer 27 (22 September 2017)

Fantastic place loved it so did the dog many thanks...
Kevin (18 September 2017)

Fantastic had time off my life my only complaint was that I had an argument with next door van over parking, would be a good idea to tell one where to park.
Roger from Whittlesey Nr Peterborough (16 September 2017)

The lodge was well placed for good walks just across the road with our dog. The lodge was a bit tired but clean and comfortable.
Joyce from Ilchester (15 September 2017)

The park is small and quiet, there are nice forestry commission walks just across the road. The accomodation was beautifully clean and everything worked. The lady in the office on our arrival was lovely. Very friendly and helpful, she made us feel very welcome. On the negative side, the park is on the a31 and there is a lot of traffic noise but this is a small thing and we did get used to it. There is no club house on this site (a plus for me) but there are entertainment facilities on a neighbouring site which is within walking distance. My pet was made welcome, we had a nice relaxing break and I would definitely use the site again if I were visiting the new forest in future.
Carol from Godalming (15 September 2017)

Very safe a bit noisy from the road but lovely modern caravan. Really helpful staff and not too far away from oakdene. The swimming pool was fantastic
Alison from Uxbridge (08 September 2017)

Great little park only a very small play park and tiny shop onsite. But sister site is only a 3 minute drive away with great facilities e.g. Lovely heated indoor pool great entertainment large shop. And the food on the restaurant is fantastic.. all in all I would give his 10 out of 10 but the lack of facilities on our park just lets it down a little
Leigh from Selsey (26 August 2017)

Forest edge is a lovely quiet site, which is what we like.
Wendy from Wirral (25 August 2017)

Awful! nothing to do. On arrival you are met by a derelict, closed up , run down clubhouse. No bbq facilities either. Small shop/reception closed 10 mins earlier than stated on sat eve, meaning we had to drive about for 25 mins hunting for an item we had seen in the shop and needed. Check in was at 4pm but when arrived lodge was not ready so at 4.45pm we began moving in, even though cleaners still there. Cleaning had been obviously rushed, lodge was quite dirty e.g. Several cooking utensils had to be washed by us before we could use them, overflowing crumb tray in toaster, marks on tv screen and elsewhere, toilet roll in main bedroom not renewed after last guest and only had a few sheets left on it, duvet covers on single beds had both been turned inside out and one of beds had several hairs making us wonder whether or not the bedding in this room had actually been changed! luckily had only booked 3 nights.
Mary from Harrow (21 August 2017)

Lovely caravan, en-suite toilet for main bedroom. Traffic noisy as near main road but ok. Nice quiet (not many screaming kids)site. Family sister site 15 minutes walk. Supermarkets and somewhere to eat nearby.
Dawn from Peterborough (12 August 2017)

Road was a little bit noisy at times but really rated caravan and park
Sharon from Newcastle (11 August 2017)

Excellent location, peaceful. Accommodation clean, spacious and excellent value for money.
Jason from Neath (04 August 2017)

This is a small park conveniently located for visiting the many interesting places in the area. the caravans are new, clean and really well equipped. reception was friendly and helpful. we visited with our dog and the forest park made for some great walks from her point of view.
Annie from London (31 July 2017)

Apart from the roadworks detour, we had a throughly good holiday.
Alexis (28 July 2017)

Really nice place to stay, only issue was having to walk to oak dean 4 entertainment
Samantha from Elgin (14 July 2017)

Lovely caravan. Beautiful park. 2nd time here in 2 months.
Barry from Brighton (08 July 2017)

It was a lovely quiet site and we will come back again
Graham from Cambridge (07 July 2017)

An enjoyable break on a quite site which suited in easy reach of most of the new forest but also a short drive from pubs for main meals and the larger towns like bournemouth and poole .caravans were all nearly new and everything was clean and ready on arrival
Gerald from Peterborough (03 July 2017)

Verg nice caravan. Ons comment the beds were a little bit too small
Monique from Nieuwstadt The Netherlands (03 July 2017)

Fantastic little park clean and tidy really friendly and helpful staff . beautiful forrest walks nearby. Only downside is the traffic noise from the very busy dauel carriageway.
Richard from Weston-Super-Mare (03 July 2017)

Quiet small site, which we prefer. Good location for dorset & new forest. Excellent caravan, even had an en suite!
Godfrey from Neath (30 June 2017)

The site was very basic as far as facilities are concerned. It was also very noisy. We were aware that the a31 was immediately adjacent to the site and this was a bit noisy but the worst of the noise came from the neighboring haulage yard. Several nights we could here activity in the yard. We went during the hottest part of the year and needed windows open all the time so the noise was a real problem.
Roger from Maidstone (23 June 2017)

We had a wonderful restful break and enjoyed every moment and would go again in a heartbeat.
David from Midhurst West Sussex (16 June 2017)

Everything was great except the fact that we backed onto an industrial yard. Where they loaded lorries any time between 12.am and 03.00 am
Michael (16 June 2017)

The staff were exceptionally helpful when there was a noisy neighbour (off site)
John from Sutton Coldfield (12 June 2017)

Lovely quiet holiday park
Alison from Stevenage (02 June 2017)

Holiday park, caravan and staff were really good
Barbara (15 May 2017)

Excellent comfortable and peaceful week away. We stayed in the forest supersaver with our dog. Very good value and spotless almost new caravan. we liked it so much that we have booked again for july
Barry from Brighton (12 May 2017)

We had a really nice holiday here and managed to visit some of our old haunts. However our nights were not so good due to the noise from the caravan next door who came out a good number of times in the night for a smoke. There were about 3 or 4 men and we presumed they were workmen as one of them wore a hi via jacket as they went off each morning very early. the caravan opposite to us had the same problem as well
Ben from Leighton Buzzard (20 March 2017)

Noisy as close to the main road. I was told would get used to it but didn't over the 3 days. good location for sightseeing & a bit of shopping. great for a late break but not somewhere I would want to go to during the summer months
Janet from Milton Keynes (10 October 2016)

Nice small campsite at the edge of the new forest.but quit noisy next to a very busy road.
Wilco from The Netherlands (26 September 2016)

Nice little park with access to new forest without having to use the dual carriageway. All the time also dorset really near by. Our only moan was the closeness to the main road. If we book again would like to be nearer to the shop. On the whole we had a good time.
Julia from East Sussex (23 September 2016)

Had an amazing time here with my little boy! beautiful location, not too far a drive from most attractions. . will definitely be returning,we didn't want to come home.
Rachel from Rochester (23 September 2016)

Lovely place to stay, staff were very helpful and friendly, although there isn't a great deal on site you have access to another site which has a pool and gym, arcade, restaurant, at only a 5/10 minute walk away, beautiful surroundings, opposite a forest so amazing walks to be had, just lovely, would definitely recommend and go again myself.
Tara from Canterbury (09 September 2016)

Good location but lots of traffic noise.
Angela from Bristol (09 September 2016)

Great holiday good weather helpful staff
David from Watchet (03 September 2016)

Was looking for a short and affordable get away with with family just as schools were set to reopen and new forest, a short drive from bournemouth beach and town centre, was the ideal place to go. Lovely scenery and plenty of stuff to keep the kids and adults alike occupied. Would definitely recommend and like to visit again soon.
Nozrul from London (02 September 2016)

I would stay again but would be helpful if dog friendly caravans had a veranda so your dog could lay out with out being tied up.
Nicola (02 September 2016)

We had a great time. Forest edge is a very small park nice and quiet, it was our first time away with our 10 month old puppy and it was a success. The caravan was the cleanest we've ever stayed in. Swimming every day lots of activities at the sister park every one was friendly and helpful.
Catherine (02 September 2016)

Very lovely park. Caravans nice and clean. The park is nice and clean and tidy and a lovely peaceful place to stay with the benefit of being able to use oakdene pool which is just down the rd allso the nightlife their. The only problem we had was having to pay £35 extra on top of the price of the caravan which was sufficient enough that's the only put off.
Claire (13 August 2016)

Forest edge is a small, quiet caravan park within driving distance of poole, bournemouth and swanage. we liked the fact that it was small and didn't miss not having a clubhouse or entertainment on site. we were aware that we could use the facilities at the neighbouring park but didn't feel the need as the weather was lovely and we went to the beach. we did use the outside pool at forest edge which was very small and a bit dirty. other than that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Andrea from High Wycombe (08 August 2016)

Very friendly site , all the staff were really helpful , because it was a small site all the children played together which was really nice . very good value and the caravan was spot lessly clean and very nice . thank you we had a great holiday
Michele from Littlehampton (29 July 2016)

Nothing like the online pictures and description when booking holiday. Very disappointed.
Jane (22 July 2016)

New forest was a lovely place, plenty of nice places for food ,caravan was old and next to major road, top prices paid
Claire (18 July 2016)

The caravan in which we stayed appeared tired, I felt that it was damp and had a damp smell.
Customer 71 (20 June 2016)

Great location!lovely staff!perfect weather!great combination for holiday.
Elizabeth from Penzance (20 June 2016)

Location was excellent for us near everything we wanted to do. Including peppa pig world. Staff and everyone were helpful and polite. The noise from the a31 didn't really affect us it was the fleet of diggers and work vehicles between us and the a31 that woke us up a few time and they were quite noisy. Thankfully it didn't wake our 2 year old. We were given a pass for the sister park which was great we could use the indoor pool and on our park there was only an outdoor and the weather made sure we didn't use it. We were close to the forest and loads of different attractions and supermarkets! brilliant location shame about the work plant beside us (we looked out of our bedroom window and they vehicles were there)
Lisa from Horsham (17 June 2016)

The main complaint is the road noise you could have put the caravan at the side of the road and it wouldn't have been any noisier. the other main complaint was the bedrooms the main double bed was very uncomfortable to sleep on and the room around the side of the bed was very narrow and you kept catching and knocking your legs trying to get into bed, the other to bedrooms weren't any better although the beds were a bit more comfortable.
Stuart from Sheffield (04 June 2016)

Lovely place to stay. Handy for loads of attractions and the coast. The only thing that lets it down is the noise from the road and small industrial unit which can be extremely intrusive. Perhaps they could do with investing in some high anti-noise fencing to try and reduce the impact this has
Adrian from Worksop (04 June 2016)

We had a great time at forest edge, loved our surroundings, and our caravan was perfect, will b recommending this place to all my friends .
Tracy from Gillingham. Kent (03 June 2016)

Absolutely lovely. Really spacious and great location with nice people there. great for families and matures. cannot recommend highly enough.

Christine from Taunton (02 May 2016)

Good place to relax and chill out.ideal for sightseeing, will book again one day.
Alan from Canterbury Kent. (23 April 2016)

If we booked again, I think we might book on your other site. As there's only one little shop on site, but sister site has everything. But forest edge is nice and quite, and would book again.
Sylvia from Isle Of Sheppey. (04 April 2016)

Lovely park- caravan excellent- great service from team there.
Jean from Eastbourne (28 March 2016)

Great base for exploring, lovely site but main road quite noisy
Nicola from Bedfordshire (30 October 2015)

This is our second visit to forest edge and we are already looking at when we can return again next year. the site is superbly placed for dog walking and is sandwiched nicely within walking distance of two very nice pubs. the vans are always spotless and well equipped.
Kelly from St Austell (09 October 2015)

Lovely quiet park, very helpful staff. Clean and tidy grounds and great value for money. Would definitely recommend
Ian from Wimborne (09 October 2015)

Nice place to spend time but no facilities is hard to digest as us older folk it was to far to walk through the woodland path to other camp many thanks
Brian from Canterbury Kent (03 October 2015)

I love the site it's a shame about the road noise
Stephen from Shefford Bedfordshire (28 September 2015)

It was ok
George (19 September 2015)

Advertising said no groups but we were kept awake by noisy young people in the next unit. Had to pay additional£20 utility fee that is£5aday in addition to advertised rental not mentioned in literature. Minimal equipment just glad we took our own stuff.
Christine from Plymouth (18 September 2015)

A very clean and tidy site well located for woods and local attractions . the site is very quiet but if you like a drink you can either walk through the woods to the sister site where the club house is . we took our dog with us so drinking dint matter to us
Corrigan from South Ockendon (14 September 2015)

Nice relaxing holiday, dogs love it, the only problem we had was the lighting at night,. not enough, I would not take the dogs out, I was frighten.
Audrey from Bristol South Gloucester (11 September 2015)

Nice place to stay ideal for new forest overall nice accommodation only small thing . shower room needed a bit of tidying up and no wifi apart from that very nice
David from Cornwall (11 September 2015)

Had a lovely weekend with the grandchildren .thought the site was a bit tatty and the caravan had quite a lot of cobwebs also carpets needed cleaning or replacing .
Peter from Hampshire (07 September 2015)

Although our site was small having access to other facilities kept us satisfied
Martin from Ashford Kent (28 August 2015)

Location very good for what we wanted.
Wendy from Wallasey (28 August 2015)

Perfect holiday with nice quiet surroundings. Children loved it. Best caravan we have stayed in so far. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

A small but enjoyable caravan park.
Rebeka from Iow (28 August 2015)

Lovely small quite park. Very clean and everyone helpful and polite.
Sarah from Brighton (24 August 2015)

The site is close to the a31, which we thought might be noisy, but it didn't bother us at all. Short drive to beaches, christchurch and all other local attractions. manager and staff really friendly and helpful. would stay again as a nice little site, clean tidy and welcoming.
Lindsay from Luton, Bedfordshire (17 August 2015)

As a family we loved it.
Stacey from Luton (10 August 2015)

Great location and facilities. Better wi fi across the site would be great.
Lorraine from Ravenshead (10 August 2015)

Quiet park. Nice location however busy road nearby so some road noise. Great value for money. Can use facilities at oakdene park close by.
Katie from Nottingham (08 August 2015)

Loved everything just wish we hadn't been so close to the road as I couldn't sleep, due to the road noise, other than that if I could have a van a bit back from the road, I would love to stay again, i'm disabled and sleep is a must. But all in all loved staying there.
Philip from Isle Of Wight (03 August 2015)

Was fab, they were so helpfull lovely and clean too.x
Sasha from Lincolnshire (03 July 2015)

A very small site with a few facilities. It was just right for what we required, a base to explore the attractions around dorset. the staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful! good size and clean caravan.
Sheryl from London (29 June 2015)

We thoroughly enjoyed our few days on the site. the caravan was comfortable, water was hot, and when needed central heating was very welcome. . the staff were more than helpful and very friendly. . it was nice to be able to use the facalities at oakdene.
Patricia from Worthing Sussex (26 June 2015)

This is a lovely friendly little park, ideally located for our short break. It's right off the a31 so there is some traffic noise, but then there's no noisy entertainment, so I slept well! liz was friendly and helpful, and really made us feel very welcome from our first moments there. The caravan was clean and well maintained, and decently stocked, so we could just relax. And the dog friendly beach at sandbanks is only 15-20 minutes away! lovely!
Susan from Ely (26 June 2015)

Overall rating of 5 says it all really .. lady in shop/reception very friendly / helpful - and noted my comments on departure - however due to tired looking van and general lack of site facilities - 5 is in reality - probably a little too high .
Ian from Cheam (15 June 2015)

A lovely clean caravan with good internal facilities, although twin beds too small even for small adult. Location next to a31 unfortunate as traffic noise is relentless, but still nice to get away for the weekend.

Very nice small peaceful park, caravan lovely and clean and well equipped. Only met one member of staff upon check in/out, she was very nice and really helpful with regards to local information and facilities at their sister park nearby. the only downside was that our caravan was situated right next to the a31 which is still fairly noisy through the night, however, but the 3rd night I was getting used to it and it didn't bother other family members at all.

It would have been nice if the pathway to the main facilities was more clearly marked!. we were happy with the caravan. Clean and well maintained. Staff were polite and helpful. Definitely coming again.

The "dog friendly" caravan we stayed in was perfect for our short weekend break. Caravan itself was more impressive than what we expected before arrival. There was welcome tea, coffee and milk sachets on arrival which was a lovely touch for a self catering holiday. Forest edge is perfect for a quiet break and I would say it is more suitable for middle aged or older patrons due to lack of facilities to attract children or young people - (but for us this was perfect as we enjoyed the peace and quiet). . we will be returning to forest edge and overall impressed by the whole experience, we also caught the sun in late march which was a bonus.

Caravan was clean & tidy but was a bit tired inside, but for what we paid we were happy.

Large caravan, who is getting a little tired. Could use some small updates.

Wilco from Netherlands (27 September 2014)

I think we got off to bad start. After confirming my booking, I was latter told I was at forest edge not oakdene. And that I should walk to the new site ?
Mark from London (15 September 2014)

We enjoyed a peaceful but good holiday - glad we didnt back onto the a31 though. ideal situation for this time of year. visited a wide area from bournmouth, isle of wight to brighton. . could well come back.
Oscar from Ilfracombe, Devon (12 September 2014)

Very happy with our stay a good location for getting around the dorset and hampshire area. Good value for the level of caravan accommodation provided and fairly basic facilities on site but we were not requiring the other facilities.
Paul from Derby (08 September 2014)

The caravan was rancid!
Stephenie from Herts (01 September 2014)

Lovely holiday park - oakdene is excellent - forest edge being a smaller park has less facilities - but is quieter. The caravn was not great - good size and everything just not cleaned throughly enough with the carpets. Main double room poorly ventilated so prone to damp from the breathing occupants udring a nights sleep. Some fixings wee hanging off. Wass reported to reception but no action taken to repair the fixings. Have two little boys so this was rather important. As small nails were protruding. . love the whole area though - so much to do - great countryside - love the place. Definiately coming back. Maybe try a different holiday park but not decided yet. Will book soon for next year.
James from Wolverhampton (29 August 2014)

Staff were lovely, site was small but that's what we prefer.
Gillian from Uxbridge (25 August 2014)

Lovely place to stay, close to lots of attractions. Site is clean and well maintained. A good place to stay to tour the south of england. The only downside which was stated on the website was that it is close to the a31, and was very noisy at peak times. This did phase out in the early hours of the morning. A great place to stay but traffic could be a problem.
Melanie from Basingstoke (23 August 2014)

Caravan was placed beside busy dual carriageway which was extremely noisy.
Andrew from Ongar (22 August 2014)

Perfect base to explore the area
Justine (18 August 2014)

Only stayed friday to monday to join our family who were there for a week but found everything to our satisfaction. roomy caravan and very clean and plenty of utensils etc provided. only slight negative is that there could have been a little more in the camp shop in the way of food for making meals but that's just a minor negative..
Margaret from Milton Keynes (18 August 2014)

Very well run site, staff very helpful.this site is idea for a family holiday as it is not too big.the accommodation was clean and very comfortable, would highly recommend this site for a hoiday.
Philip from Bristol (26 July 2014)

Very nice but it helped being able to use oakdenes swimming pools
David (19 July 2014)

Site in spitting distance to the a31 so constant loud road noise, caravan shook at times. No facilities at this site or wifi every thing was at the sister site. Did not expect t be on holiday with workmen occupying close surrounding caravans, not holiday atmospher
Sylvia (18 July 2014)

Not enough facilities on site. Pool only open on weekends and oakdene entertainment was poor with nothing to do on sundays as even the bar and club were closed.ifeel entertainment should be good throughout the year not just in high season.the caravan was really lovely and spotlessly clean.
Cathy from Rochester Kent (23 June 2014)

Graet value for money location great
Andrew from Horsham (14 June 2014)

Close to everywhere you need to get to in the new forest as well as bournemouth.
Gary from West Malling (09 September 2013)

Private space, uncrowded, easy to travel to by car
Christine from Alton (02 September 2013)

Staff were lovely very helpful.
Peter from Milton Keynes (31 August 2013)

Friendly staff, nice clean site
