We had a fantastic weekend break in heron cottage. It was very clean and spacious and furnished to a very high standard. It has a lovely view from every window and a small waterside decked area with seating. We will definitely be back. Loved it!!!
Emma from Louth, Lincs (11 July 2016)

Excellent but if a boat is moored at the next door cottage there is only a small space to fish. good parking.
Fiona from Haverhill (24 June 2016)

Busy marina but peaceful. Pool a great asset too.
Sue from Kent (03 June 2016)

Beautiful cottage well appointed and in a great area of norfolk but we didn't realise you had to pay £8 to swim in the onsite pool after paying a lot for the cottage. Kids got bored after half an hour as the pool is small! where does it say that it's not included when you book?
Pamela (03 June 2016)

Excellent facilities and great location for our family of eight. Four bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms was a bonus.i would definitely recommend this cottage and will be looking to return in the summer. The downside was that non of the on site facilities were available during the low season however horning village is in walking distance of the cottage .

Swan cottage was perfect for our family the facilities were perfect and location ideal. We stayed at a time when most of the amenities were closed so cannot comment on these. Generally we enjoyed our recent stay and would recommend swan cottage to similar families.

We recently stayed at readlings and it's a beautiful place. Very well equipped and extremely comfortable. when we arrived it was very cold and the boiler had broken but within an hour peter arrived and it was fixed quickly, he was very helpful. the only thing I would say is the living room wasn't terribly clean, lots of cobwebs but I think we were the first in the property for a little while so I can only assume that's why. if you are staying at ferry marina you have to try the local chinese, china city (we went back to ferry marina for the chinese alone) and pubs in the little town they are fabulous. . . there is no mobile phone signal at the moment so don't expect to take phone calls but there is wifi available. . as for ferry marina itself we were disappointed that the indoor swimming pool doesn't open from november until march and we wasn't advised of the £200 deposit on a credit card that had to be left. . would definitely recommend readlings to a large family

Fantastic in every way. Not really any major problems. Close to the coast an so many places to visit. Please be aware that mobile phones and lap tops do not receive any signals at this location but for us a break from these devices was a god send we wanted an escape from work related issues, we will be booking four cottages in november at this site for my fifty birthday celebrations in 2016

Customer 43 (01 September 2015)

We had a great time, even though the weather was not at it's best. The hot tub at woods end was perfect and the children loved it
Andrew from Norwich (01 September 2015)

On arrival to the cottage my husbands and children's faces dropped as the front aspect did look a little tired, however once we got inside we were all pleasantly surprised. The cottage had a lovely feel. Everywhere was clean except the floor. There was a basket at the front door asking guests to remove shoes which we did as we do this at home, however the floor was dirty and had boot/shoe marks on. It seemed that the floor had not been washed for our visit. We would stay again, the location was great. The kitchen was equipped well enough for us. The fish and chip shop on site served lovely chips. Horning was really nice and had two great pubs where children were welcome.
Sarah from Yarm (29 August 2015)

An excellent location and wonderful house to spend a relaxing family break.
Sarah from Essex (18 August 2015)

Tiny bad first then good. . I was outraged that the pool was an extra charge when it was advertised within the booking. The pool is just for tiny kids and should be advertised as so. . however that was my only gripe. I'd recommend anyone to stay there. Lovely attentive staff and idyllic setting. Boats were fantastic and the cottage was perfect we had a lovely stay.
Penny from Teddington (15 August 2015)

Brilliant accommodation, couldn't believe how spacious it was, clean and well equipped. Both tv worked and there was bluetooth speakers for ipod etc but never tried out. ferry inn just down the road lovely carvery and good menu, (vegetarian, fussy eater, and food allergies all catered for). in horning try staithe and willow cafe/restaurant excellent food and service, we ate there at lunchtime not sure if open in evening. We stayed cygnet cottage.
Karen from Royal Wotton Bassett (01 August 2015)

Ferry marina is a lovely place to spend a short break, and it is not too far from some lovely beaches. Customer service is excellent and the staff go out of their way to help, the site is well kept and the wild life around the site are plentiful.
Paul from Sheffield (24 July 2015)

Such a beautiful and big space at swan cottage! we was surprised how good it was! would defiantly go back
Jade from Wisbech (29 June 2015)

Horning is a beautiful village, but parking is limited so it was great to have plenty of parking at the marina. And we loved the fish and chips.
Angela from Oakham (27 June 2015)

We were looking for a relaxing few days with no worries for a family party ranging from 6 to 73 in age. woods end and horning provided this perfectly . the accommodation was excellent with only very minor criticisms. It's location to the centre of horning made walks to and fro easy and pleasant; horning provided a good range of eateries including an extremely good fish restaurant. our time there passed agreeably and quickly and we were sorry to leave. Would recommend to anyone.

Mrs W from Milton Keynes (26 April 2011)

If one loves The Broads as we do, I would thoroughly recommend the site and the cottages.
Mrs M from London (22 April 2011)

Ferry Marina at Horning was absolutely beautiful. The surroundings and wildlife could keep you occupied for hours and that's just sitting on your balcony looking out onto The broads and marina, Harry the Heron came to visit us everyday and a duck was sitting on her eggs below our balcony unfortunately they didn't hatch before we left. If you like a quiet relaxing holiday we would highly recommend Ferry Marina and Norfolk Broads.
Mrs L from London (18 April 2011)

Lovely family cottage in a lovely area of the Norfolk broads. Children loved being so close to the Broads and feed the ducks daily. Lovely staff on site and pool was a nice touch. Would consider re-visiting next year.

A lovely marina location in a peaceful setting.
Mrs S from Huntingdon (08 August 2009)

I would recommend this holiday to everybody who is looking for a relaxing and peaceful holiday. It is a quiet setting where you can sit and watch the boats coming and going in the marina. It is ideal for children and adults alike who enjoy fishing. There are moorings for anyone who hires a boat during their stay, and Horning village is a short walk away with a couple of restaurants and pubs serving excellent meals. We had a really lovely and relaxing week and have already booked again for next year!

Just a short walk to the village of Horning which had everything you needed for a restful holiday and the everyone you met were so nice. I am seriously thinking about spending another holiday there...

Ferry Marina is in an ideal position to discover The Broads, Norwich and the Norfolk coast. The properties have an attractive waterside outlook and the swimming facilities are welcoming, especially when the weather misbehaves!
Mr N from Pewsey (14 June 2009)

A great place to get away from it all. The marina is on your doorstep and all you need for your holiday is a walk away. If you decide to go, take a boat on the river to see all the wild life - you may be lucky to see an otter in the wild.
Mr E from Longfield (21 February 2009)

Relaxing area, while still being close to Norwich & Gt Yarmouth. Plenty to do & see nearby.
Mrs S from Wisbech (30 August 2008)

Good sized accomodation, a good location although a car is needed to get the most out of the area. We would recommend hiring a boat for the day although is fairly expensive day out(normal cost compared with everyone else). Good local pubs in village, nice food.

Mrs R (24 June 2006)

My husband and I had an excellent holiday. For anyone looking for a relaxing holiday, you should look no further.
Mrs H (10 June 2006)
