The cabin was very clean and well equiped and the owner friendly and helpful. We had a very relaxing holiday in the countryside with easy access to the coast .
Julie from Harleston (01 October 2016)

Perfect retreat , best cornish holiday ever!! we had a great week great locationto so many attractions and if you just want peace and quiet then this is the ideal place for you!
James (01 October 2016)

A very nice well maintained site peaceful and quiet with helpful staff would go there again
Janet from Gloucester (24 September 2016)

What a fantastic place to spend two weeks
Terence from Grangemouth (24 September 2016)

The lodge was lovely and very well presented. James was very friendly and welcoming, as were the family of ducks who would visit daily!
James from Barnsley (17 September 2016)

We really enjoyed our stay. Wish we'd booked for 2 weeks. So comfortable and quite. Lovely.
Linda (10 September 2016)

Nice location for getting about, or if you just want seclusion and to chill the site is very quiet and remote. Lodges are nice , all kept clean with adequate utensils. The lane to the site is very tricky if you meet someone coming the other way, but all in all, served its purpose for a nice holiday.
Anthony from Derby (03 September 2016)

A beautiful relaxing holiday in a stunning setting, a thoroughly enjoyable holiday and so peaceful with a wonderful friendly pub on site. . we went with two teenage girls who enjoyed every minute of it and would go back again
Monica from Steeple Claydon (03 September 2016)

Nice location, just a little bit on the remote side for us. For the money the lodges were fine but could benefit from a little updating. Did find the coin operated electric meter annoying. Perhaps just add the cost of the electricity into the rental price.
Andrew from Brighton (03 September 2016)

We have stayed at eastcott lodges twice it is very peaceful and very family orientated. Great base for exploring both cornwall and devon. love the local pub and it is fun by a friendly local family. Would definitely recommend and stay again.
Sarah from Pickering, North Yorkshire (27 August 2016)

Beautifully peaceful location. Helpful staff. Very clean log cabin.
Hayley (13 August 2016)

Fantastic holiday and beautiful clean lodge and well kept site with an excellent field for dog walking. staff were helpful and friendly, only downside for us if anything was everything was quite a distance from the lodges.
Katie (06 August 2016)

Fantastic accomodation in beautiful surroundings, lodge was clean and ready when we arrived, watching the buzzards and squirrels each day amazed our daughter, david at the pub on site is very friendly and makes everyone welcome. Could do with a more local shop on site but a great base for exploring cornwall none the less.
Scott from Nuneaton (06 August 2016)

The accommodation was great; a decent size, clean and had everything we wanted. The only draw back was that the electricity was run on a £1 meter machine so making sure we always had £1 coins became a bit of a chore! also, as we have a crawling baby, a gate on the balcony would have made our holiday a lot more relaxing! the site was lovely, quiet and surrounded by picturesque countryside. The kids loved waking up to see ducks, rabbits and squirrels out the front of our lodge! i'd definitely recommend this site for anyone wishing to visit the bude area!
Alice (06 August 2016)

Great location. Well kept surroundings. Lodges are basic but everything you need for a comfortable stay. The water pressure is very low so shower over the bath is fairly pointless. Shame electric can't be included in the price. We will return.
Stuart (30 July 2016)

Excellent holiday and fantastic lodges and staff. Watch out for the eastcott arms landlord as a little set back in the dark ages. But would go again
Marc from Bradford (30 July 2016)

We had the best time in cornwall. pity it was so chilly.. but that comes under a different heading!!!! we found the accomodation had everything we wanted, plenty of hot water and a kitchen with every thing required. if I was to nit pick it would have been nice to have a slightly larger tv. but not the end of the world.!!. thanks , given the chance I would return.
Lynda from Newmarket, Suffolk (16 July 2016)

Had a lovely time it's a very nice quiet clean place love the ducks . it's a long way to a main rd was worried about the wear on the car
Lisa from Southam (05 July 2016)

We arrived with great expectations and were dissappointed when we arrived the cabin was not cleaned properly the windows were dirty the double bed was uncomfortable and we could feel the springs after a night of sleeping in the double bed both me and my partner had bad backs, there was no shop facilitys on site and there was no directions , ie: there was no signpostage anywhere apart from the front gate. We ended up coming home on thursday instead of saturday because we were unhappy with service
Terry (02 July 2016)

No amenities very remote long drive to shops pub ect.
Judith from Nuneaton (02 July 2016)

Had a lovely time here! brilliant staff
Katie (25 June 2016)

We had a lovely week at eastcott lodges. Our lodge was without frills, as we'd requested, but was clean and had everything we needed to look after us and a 10month old. The travel cot and high chair were both clean and in good condition. The surroundings are beautifully quiet and picturesque and had our little boy been older, he would have enjoyed the playground. The owners were lovely and very helpful throughout our stay. We would definitely rebook.
Jennifer (11 June 2016)

Great location, quiet and picturesque. Well equipped lodges. . shame the pub doesn't let dogs in given the lodges are pet friendly.
Stephen from Redruth (11 June 2016)

The lodges are lovely in quiet beautiful surroundings, with lots of wildlife, birds, rabbits, ducks and we even saw deer near to our lodge. The lodge was clean and very comfortable. The owners were very kind and helpful but not intrusive.would recommend it to anyone that wants a quiet peaceful break away.
Deborah from Telscombe Cliffs Sussex (04 June 2016)

Great holiday. Lodge was fantastic. Had a really good stay.
Paul from Sheffield (04 June 2016)

Great little spot and an adequate lodge.
Andrew from London (04 June 2016)

Lovely location and facilities.
Jo from Droitwich (28 May 2016)

We had a lovely time in a lovely location. If you want peace and quiet this is the place
Darren from Darwen (28 May 2016)

Had a brilliant time would recommend it will be going back next year
Robert from Newton Abbot (28 May 2016)

We had a very peaceful few days, even had a bottle of wine in lodge on arrival as it was our wed anniversary. Lots of wildlife to watch. We have been before and would go again.
Pauline from Portishead Somerset (10 May 2016)

Was just a bit isolated for us
Sally from Cannock (02 May 2016)

We loved our stay here so much we instantly booked to come back next year. If you're looking to get away from it all, eastcott lodges provides a peaceful setting with small wildlife and pretty grounds. . . our cabin was really well maintained and we had everything we needed to prepare and eat meals. The owners were friendly and helpful, but not intrusive.
Sarah from Southsea (16 April 2016)

Pros- location, lodge was perfectly adequate. . cons- surprised to find electric on a meter (approx £6 per day with heating on). not the best value for money when compared to other cottages I have visited in cornwall.
Dylan (28 March 2016)

Perfect location for a week of relaxing and exploring cornwall. it was minus figures in the evening but half an hour of heaters on full and the lodge was cost and warm. squirrels, ducks kept our springer entertained. Can't wait to return.
Karen (12 March 2016)

Very nice place but you have to drive a little way to get to anywhere but if you want some piece and quiet with someone else it's perfect :)
Zoe from Barnstaple (03 January 2016)

Very comfortable clean and well equipped
Ann from New Romney (01 December 2015)

Redwood lodge very dated real shame with some money spent it could be lovely. Very dirty ,walls sticky ,dusty and uncared for. . on arrival was met by a chap with one word answers were showed to the lodge told the electric was on a £1 meter anything we needed phone the number in the book. We then decided to find the pub which is on site advertised as a family pub opened the door to find a room with a pool table and a bar nothing else no food no dogs pointless. Next morning decided to look about found a small play park behind some lodges well placed not. . the fishing lake well it's a stagnant smelly oily pond and if anything lives in it i'd be amazed. Very disappointed . could be a lovely place with some love and care seams the owners have lost interest in it.
Richard from Worcestershire (31 October 2015)

Excellent base for visiting cornwall and devon, just outside of bude, booked again for april . dog friendly brilliant value for money
Valerie from Tn290qp (31 October 2015)

Nice location. We loved the lodge. We were under the impression the site was dog friendly as we could take our dog (at a small charge), however, on arrival we were informed we were not allowed to visit the on site facilities, i.e. The on site pub, where we had intended to eat each night of our stay. This is all part of our holiday but alas not this time. We would not think of leaving our dog in the lodge if we went on our own but we were also told that leaving pets in the lodge was not allowed. On taking my dog for a walk I always clean up after him and use the dog bins, unfortunately, the site did not have any dog bins. With this in mind when we went out we used the dog bins in the local towns. On the morning we were due to leave I left my dog in my car and went to look at the facilities we had missed out on and were told we could not cross the courtyard between the lodges and the pub as we were tresspassing. My wife asked how were we supposed to view the public house and we were given no reply other than we were tresspassing. With this we decided to leave and so came home. Regards. Mr & mrs breen.
Confirmed Holidaymaker from Solihull, B90 1Jh. (31 October 2015)

Don't mind being quiet, but this was too much for us, too remote, we shall not be going there again,
Betty (24 October 2015)

Quite liked that the lodges are in the middle of nowhere. The veranda leading to the front door of the lodge caused us a few problems, the gaps between the wooden slats are so wide that the dogs struggled to walk on it, in fact our border collie's paws kept going through the gaps and she hurt her leg. My mother who is 89 also struggled and felt uncomfortable walking across it.
Anne from Stafford (17 October 2015)

Lovely week spent here very relaxing, excellent service highly recommend
Karen from Stockport (17 October 2015)

We really enjoyed the surroundings. Over all it was a nice quiet break. Recommended.
Denis from Blackpool (10 October 2015)

Very quiet and peaceful site, in a remote location. You do need a car.
Jillian from Somerset (10 October 2015)

Having used hoeseasons for the last few years this lodge was the best we have ever had and will certainly come back again x
Sue from Canvey Island, Essex (10 October 2015)

Lovely cabins but just to far from anything.
Jane from Leeds (03 October 2015)

A lovely location and so peaceful. The lodge was perfect for our needs, very clean and comfortable with everything we needed. Would definitely recommend.
Graham from Ashford (03 October 2015)

A very basic lodge but situated in lovely countryside. we went for fishing but the large muddy pond was very disappointing so we had to drag all our gear to the tamar lakes. Although dog friendly, dogs were tethered at all times except on the very wet and boggy dog field. Difficult when one has to deal with the muddy dog in the lodge with four people as well. I would not recommend these lodges for that many inhabitants. Too small.
John from Essex (26 September 2015)

Perfect and peaceful, small and friendly park. Great for people who like a bit of solitude. . . park owner james always about to quickly sort out any minor problems (eg tv remote batteries, replacement tin opener). . beds comfortable and clean. . the countryman inn, 15 minutes away (check it out on line) is family and dog friendly. Food is v good and service excellent for a pub. . . pub adjacent to park, run by neighbour not dog friendly, doesn't allow dogs in and doesn't do food. His loss because we like dog friendly pub beer and food!. . 14 lovely ducks waddle up and down most of the time. Hard not to throw food to them. Very cute!. . bring all your food with you and top up at the well stocked, friendly roadside convenience store on the way to bude. . we would definitely rebook if we were going to cornwall again. Thanks alison and james
Robert from Dorset (19 September 2015)

Tucked out the way. Very secluded. Lots of winding country lanes. Lodges nice. Great base for exploring cornwall.
Louise from Romford Essex (19 September 2015)

A lovely holiday lodge set in a very quite location with a small fishing pond, a dog walking field and a pub within a 2 minute walk of the lodge. The lodge was very clean when we arrived with fresh bedding provided with a bonus of a dog gate for the veranda. Staff were very friendly. The kitchen is basic but met our needs. You will need to stock up £1 coins to feed the coin operated meter for electricity. Only downside is the lack of wifi or phone signal inside or outside the lodges. Word of warning the roads are very narrow in the local area and care needs to be taken when driving
Paul from Stoke On Trent (19 September 2015)

A fabulous location, very peaceful, had a very enjoyable break, comfortable lodges
Mark (12 September 2015)

Quiet and isolated which is what we wanted. it would be good to try and have a shop for basics on site. . . the bar had a musty smell - ?damp?
Susie from Bromsgrove (12 September 2015)

Lovely peaceful location. Very isolated so would not suit everyone. The lodge had all the basic equipment and was clean and tidy. No he's titration in recommending this for a quiet holiday
Ruth from Trowbridge (05 September 2015)

Peacfull week with plenty to do in the surrounding area, will be coming back next year.
Martin from Pennant (05 September 2015)

I really didn't realise how remote and rural these lodges were! we went through some pretty small roads and even in a 4 wheel drive it was a bit hairy on occasion! also not much to.do in the local area. You have to drive to get anywhere decent. The lodge was nice enough..apart from a distinct smell of wee. Not sure if it was or not but it wasn't the best. They were clean but i'm glad we didn't stay any longer than 3 nights. The double bed for my 6ft 1 inch hubby was just not long enough either. His feet stuck right out the end. The guy who mer us was lovely and very friendly and that is the highlight of the lodges really. . if you don't mind being literally in the middle of nowhere and get a clean smelling lodge then you'll really enjoy it. If you're looking to be able to entertain the kids and be at the beach on a lot less than 30 mins or so, this lodge is probably not for you.
Rachel from Fareham (01 September 2015)

Lodge was lovely .disapointed in fact there was no local places to visit on foot due to very rural location. Electric meter was a bit pricey too but kitchen facilities were excellent. Staff were very friendly and site was kept nice.
Julie (29 August 2015)

Lovely place. Helpful owner.
Catherine (25 August 2015)

These lodges were in a very secluded area with no local shopping facilities close by. A car was needed at all times. The lodges were comfortable except for bed mattresses which needed replacing. the overhead shower was also in need of some attention.due to the location and the unfortunate weather there was a tendency for the lodge to feel damp.
Susan (22 August 2015)

Beautiful place, iddylic settings. Only problem we had was with the sofa, very uncomfortable
Amy from Stevenage (22 August 2015)

The accommodation was spotlessly clean, well equipped and the grounds were very well kept. however, there weren't any facilities to buy any groceries on site or within walking distance and the pub, which didn't open until 7pm , did not serve food.
Antony from Sittingbourne, Kent (15 August 2015)

We had a lovely stay at eastcott. The lodge was very clean and larger than we thought. It was very relaxing and peaceful. Would happily go back.
Lorraine from Gravesend Kent (15 August 2015)

The location is remote, but set in superb surroundings. This gives you a peaceful and relaxing holiday. We would definitely stay there again.
Glyn from Loughborough (15 August 2015)

Great base for exploring cornwall, nice surroundings
Julie from Liverpool (15 August 2015)

Lovely lodge, quiet area.
Ellen from Horsham (15 August 2015)

We had a great holiday at eastcott lodges. We hired one of the ash water lodges. It was very clean and spacious, and equipped with everything we needed. it was a very peaceful and the surroundings are wonderful. Would definitely stay on another occasion.
Hayley from Hertfordshire (08 August 2015)

We have stayed in a lot of lodges etc over the years. These had potential but really were a little dated. Ours smelt bad of urine. It couldn't have been just a one off dog that had stayed recently. We heard a lot of wildlife on roof at night and wondered if over the years the urine has seeped into the wood?!?! . for what it was we thought they were expensive as nothing else there and not very central. . the twin bedrooms were terribly dark and small, the beds are right under the eaves and even small children would find uncomfortable. . the sofa was the most uncomfortable sofa I have ever sat on, I ended up getting my camping seat out of the car. Everyone in my party agreed about the sofa. Again with the price we paid you expect a bit more comfort!! we actually left a day early as I couldn't stand the thought of another day sitting on the sofa. . I don't like having to leave negative comments but i'm a big believer in the truth and i'm sorry i've had to leave some
Louise from Devon (08 August 2015)

Fantastic location, tranquil surroundings, helpful and pleasant staff, . . fata
Customer 68 from Blackburn (08 August 2015)

Stayed at eastcott lodges from the 25th july-1st august 2015 we stayed in one of the ashwater lodges with my family (my husband, 2 daughters, son in law & 2 granddaughters aged 6 & 1. . the lodge was a fabulous size to accommodate us all & we didn't feel on top of each other as it was very spacious. The lodge was lovely & clean with fresh bedding on all the beds. . . we had a few hours in the pub one night that's onsite & met some lovely people the owner is a great host & will tell you where the best places are to eat out & best places to visit etc. There's a launderette onsite which was great for us with having little ones that needed lots of changes. My 6 year old granddaughter loved the little assault course (that's what we called it) thats onsite & we also followed the nature trail which was lovely. . my family & I spent most of our week exploring cornwall & devon visiting some of the lovely little ports we'd wanted to see. Port isaac & padstow are a must!! & bude was lovely too, if you get chance visit the otter park it was fabulous. . we had a fabulous week at eastcott lodges & would definitely stay again. . . the only down side for us was that the little pub onsite didn't serve food, so you had to drive if you wanted to eat out, the nearest supermarket is morrisons in bude which is about 10mins in a car. . . overall we had a fantastic week at eastcott lodges.
Gillian from North Yorkshire (01 August 2015)

We would very much recommend staying at this beautiful place. we were given a very warm welcome and found our lodge had everything that we needed in it. we wondered whether our two young boys would take to a more secluded and rural base for our holiday. but we needn't have worried, they loved playing on the grass outside the lodge, sitting outside on the veranda for their tea, seeing the local ducks waddle by and the adventure of sleeping in the woodland setting. It is an approximately 15-20min drive to local shops and facilities - but having read previous reviews we were prepared for this and it did not pose a problem. If you want to get away from it all and have the chance for some awesome stargazing, and some well awaited peace and quiet then we would thoroughly recommend eastcott lodges... thank you for a truly memorable holiday..
Jane (25 July 2015)

We had a lovely break at eastcott lodges and would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing & peaceful holiday. The lodges were basic but well kept & clean and the staff on site were v helpful & friendly.
Louise from Solihull (25 July 2015)

We had an amazing stay, it was a beautiful location. The accommodation had everything that we needed and was wonderfully clean and in great repair. . even down to the gate to put up on our veranda so that we didn't have to keep the dogs tied up when we wanted to leave the door open and enjoy the sunshine . . james was ever so helpful and even helpful when I left something behind. . . we would defiantly look to stay here again. . thanks. Jo
Joanna from Guildford (21 July 2015)

A most relaxing holiday. So peaceful and the surroundings made it perfect. The lodge was excellant and chester our dog settled very quickly. Would definitely book again. Thank you
Anthony from Dereham Norfolk (04 July 2015)

Remote, peaceful and pleasant
Kara from East Sussex (27 June 2015)

Great place to stay. Really nice area and friendly staff. . . bring bread for the ducks.
Chris (23 June 2015)

Kathy from Northwich (18 April 2015)

Very secluded ideal place to relax
Philip from Hampshire (18 April 2015)

Lovely lodge in quiet surroundings. lodge was well equipped and spacious. the park was great to let all the kids safely play. The only negative for us was the location but it was nice to explore that part of the county. Nice personal service from the staff we met.
Oli from Bristol (11 April 2015)

We had a fantastic holiday. the site is a haven away from it all. . . we will absolutely be back.
Lisa from Colchester (10 April 2015)

Nice basic lodges in the middle of no where if you are after peace you can get it here . good if your a dog owner as they allow dogs in all lodges fishing is a small pit ok for a go with the children there is a pub on site but we didn't use it so can't comment electric is by the meter so make sure you have pound coins there is only the lodges on site so you will have to use car to get to shop closest town about 15 mins drive . we found it very nice clean and quite
Sharon from Get Yarmouth (10 April 2015)

Great week away nice and clean lodge :-)
Chris (10 April 2015)

I have stayed here twice now and will stay again. . it's a lovely setting with really helpful owners. . you will need to travel to get to the coast but 20 minutes isn't too bad. There is a lovely otter sanctuary only 10 minutes away.
Sue from Bridgwater (10 April 2015)

Overall an enjoyable holiday and would do it again, the lodge was excellent in all respects and james the owner was available at all times either on site or mobile should he be needed.
Derek from Isle Of Grain (20 December 2014)

Stella from Cardiff (25 October 2014)

Nice relaxing time. The owner was very polite and helpful, my dog had a wonderful time
John from Gloucestershire (25 October 2014)

Lovely quiet location, peaceful escape. Dogs are welcome and there are many walks close by but a car is essential. James, the owner is both warm and friendly and readily available.
Dale from West Yorks (25 October 2014)

The lodges are in a beautiful peaceful setting and we were made very welcome by the helpful friendly staff. The lodge was extremely good value for money. The only drawback for us was that it was a long drive to visit anywhere and over the course of the week we had to do far more driving than we like to do on holiday.
Amanda from Oxford (25 October 2014)

Good location a little out of the way but you cant have this type of retreat in a town etc the only downside was the onsite pub my wife and I walked the dog on arrival and walked down to (check out ) the pub the owner came out of the kitchen (and his dog) and informed us we cant walk the dog here we informed him we were only checking out the lay of the land he said we could not bring the dog to the pub when open as his dog doesnot get on with other dogs and then said he would see us later now as we would not leave our dog in the lodge we said no way and never set foot in the place . his loss we would have had food and drank in there every night the rest of the break was great
Brian (18 October 2014)

Best accommodation we have ever had,and first time we took the dog and it was excellent facilities for the dog thank you.
Lawrence from Alrewas (04 October 2014)

Without your own transport you would be lost/great setting /nice and clean good value.
David from Banbury (04 October 2014)

Great peaceful location which is very clean and we'll maintained with friendly helpful staff.
John (04 October 2014)

The lodge was perfect in a really remote beautiful location and contained everything you would need for a week away. It was a really great size and spotless, as was the surrounding grounds. The area and site is really dog friendly (apart from the on site pub) so a great choice if you are taking away your four legged friend. . .
Caroline from Andover (27 September 2014)

We had a wonderful stay, very relaxing and quiet. the owner was very helpful and friendly and as it is a small development we found other guests really friendly. the lodges are spacious and homely, although the sofa a tad uncomfortable. the decking was great and was lovely to sit outside but the gaps in the decking made it difficult for our small dogs. however overall a wonderful stay and will book again.
Jenny from Upminster (13 September 2014)

Very quiet and in the countryside. lovely clear skies at night. deer and ducks passing through.excellently clean lodge and very helpful staff. welcome pack, t tea towel, provided.
Virginia from Birkenhead (06 September 2014)

Shower was not useable as it was not possible to control the water temperature. It was either too hot or freezing cold and subject to changes in pressure if a tap was used elsewhere.
Christine (06 September 2014)

Lovely place if you love peace and quiet, lodges clean .more than I expected.greeted by deer in the morning, what more could you ask for. . . it was a bit remote and a long way from beaches.
Andrea from Bicester (02 September 2014)

Welcomed by james the grounds man, host, and all round person, whom showed us to our lodge and gave all the information on looking after the lodge i.e. Electric meter which takes pound coins . . average spend on electric whilst staying there was £30 for the week but does depend on how much electric you use and what month you stay at the lodge. . with the amount paid for staying at the lodge you would have thought electric would have been included in the price and for free. . emersion boiler to heat water not a good feature as it will eat the electric up. . the settings for the location is ideal for those wanting peace and quiet, and great for star gazers as it is very dark with little street lights torches are a must. .
Charlotte (30 August 2014)

The grounds were beautifully kept, very peacefull, good location
Dorothy from Morecambe (30 August 2014)

The place was lovely, but it was just too far from anywhere..we ended up filling up our car every other day which made it a much more expensive holiday. not much to see that was close, 1hr 40 mins to newquay, 35 mins to bude..nearest beach was a good 30 mins via single track lanes.
Brendan from Hampshire (30 August 2014)

Lovely and peaceful park. Downside about 1/2hr from anywhere
David from Driffield (30 August 2014)

These lodges are in a beautful quiet setting and reasonably priced as we went in school holidays. We booked two lodges as the whole family came.the staff were very friendly and helpful when we saw them, as we where out all day and only came back at night.there was a contact number for out of hours problems which was nice.close to many attractions. There is not a club house or pool which we didn't mind as we spent the days out and about, a car is essential for this accomondation. There is a nice play area for the chidren and a pub just off site, we didn't go to the pub so can't comment.there is also a lake for fishing. Overall we had a great holiday spent at these lodges.
Julia from Warrington (30 August 2014)

The park itself was lovely but, although we like rural settings, was a bit too remote for us, with the nearest shop being a 10 mins drive away and the nearest beach approx 30 mins drive. As keen walkers we felt that we were forced to spend too much time in our car travelling to places because of the location.
Adele from Stoke On Trent (23 August 2014)

Cornwall is fantastic but wouldn't stay at eastcott again
Mark from Essex (23 August 2014)

Gorgeous surroundings - very quiet and rest full. Would have liked more freezer space and shower pressure
Charmian from Winchester (23 August 2014)

Lovely place. Lovely people. lovely holiday.
Michelle from West Malling (23 August 2014)

The location was beautiful, the grounds were clean, tidy and well looked after. The staff were not on site much of the time, but could be contacted by phone if needed. However, we couldn't get a very good phone signal, so in an emergency this could have been a worry.
Philip from Norwich (16 August 2014)

Car is essential, location was perfect to return to after a day out exploring cornwall, very peaceful and relaxing.
Confirmed Holidaymaker from West Midlands (16 August 2014)

Was disappointed that the upper part of the lodge was not in use as this was part of the appeal when booking.
Linda from Northants (16 August 2014)

Lovely peaceful setting, redwood lodges are basic but have everything you need.
Emma from Tamworth (02 August 2014)

A lovely quiet holiday.
Gavin from Smeilus (26 July 2014)

Excellent locaion great for dogs and exploring devon & cornwal would highly reccomend.
Gerald from Caterham Surrey (19 July 2014)

Wonderful
Elizabeth from Swindon (28 June 2014)

Wonderful location, owners a joy to meet, nothing was too much trouble. So peaceful, will definitely return.
Gail from Blackwood, South Wales (21 June 2014)

The lodge was very clean and in good order. The location was a bit more rural than we expected but still in a lovely area
Margaret from Sheffield (07 June 2014)

Small collection of lodges located off the beaten track - very quiet & peaceful. The owner james is very friendly & helpful. Just on the border of cornwall & devon, it's a great base to get to north or south coasts, and within reach of shops & supermarkets: tesco's in launceston (11 miles), morrisons in bude (10 miles), or waitrose in holsworthy (6 miles). on-site pub run by local sheep farmer david in the evenings, is a friendly watering-hole where lodge-stayers & locals happily mix. Keep to the main roads where possible & don't always follow sat-nav, as it will take the shortest routes, but not necessarily the best ones. Be prepared for narrow lanes & tractors !
Jason (31 May 2014)

Me and my partner came here for a quiet break away . we loved the surroundings , was really peaceful and in the middle of no where , just what we wanted. As we had a car, we were able to drive out for local beaches , which the staff were able to provide us with the best places to visit.
Josh (31 May 2014)

The location is convenient for many places in north cornwall and devon. The accommodation was better than expected. Very well equipped and a good size. The site itself is set in lovely grounds and safe and enclosed for the kids to run around and explore. Very dog friendly with a great field just for them!
Donna from Leicester (31 May 2014)

This was a lovely restful time, just what was needed after a very worrying year. Because my husband had to give up driving and I don't it would have been nice to have had a small shop for odds and ends that may have been forgotten. apart from that beautiful, just what the doctor ordered.
Jean from Horley (27 May 2014)

Location was very lovely but there were a couple of downsides hence only 8 out of 10. 1. It was 16 miles outside of bude and actually closer to launceston. . 2. There was nowhere locally to walk without taking the car but cornwall overall seems to have limited footpaths
Colin from Faversham (24 May 2014)

Wonderful cant recomend enough
Fiona from Bradford (17 May 2014)

We had a great weekend break here. So peaceful we would definitely go back, probsbly with bikes.
Lorna (06 May 2014)

Just what we hoped for, quiet, relaxing surroundings.
Michelle (21 April 2014)

We had a lovely holiday...peace & quiet!
Colin from St Leonard'S On Sea (19 April 2014)

Very good holiday the only bad thing was the shower was poor
John from Great Yarmouth (19 April 2014)

Absolutely outstanding lodges. clean and well presented. Area is so peaceful and you have to use your car to get anywhere. our idea of heaven. james, the owner, is extremely helpful.
Railton (08 April 2014)

Very good value for money but a little tired and dated.
Claire from Devon (27 December 2013)

Just perfect for a complete rest and relaxation. Lodge was immaculate and really cosy for a winter break, with everything we needed. ( our 2 dogs loved it too )
Kim from Cheddar (27 December 2013)

Very pleasant, well equipped lodge in a lovely area. a bit too far from any amenities to walk to, but there is a pub in site open in the evenings.
Mary from Alton (07 December 2013)

We had a fantastic time, it was so quiet and peaceful and the people that own it couldn't do enough for you, because we went at the end of november the owner came to us with extra fleeces and a torch because we didn't have one and we didn't realize that there weren't any lights, but to be honest that made it even better at night as it was slient and lights outside would of ruined the setting. Will be going back for sure.
Claire from Bridgwater (30 November 2013)

Lovely spot, very peaceful.
Kerry from Wellington (02 November 2013)

Nice small well managed site
Gregory from Poole (29 October 2013)

Lovely quiet location, basic facilities to use as a stay and explore cornwall. Take a torch to see your way to accommodation at night. Roads are narrow and its off the beaten track.
Gill from Leicestershire (26 October 2013)

Such a quiet peaceful site and in such lovely surroundings and the accommodation was perfect, really welcoming when we arrived.
Janet from Penzance (05 October 2013)

If it had been obvious how narrow the minor roads to eastcott lodges were, I would not have chosen to stay there.
Brenda from Gillingham (05 October 2013)

A fantastic week..very impressed from the word go!...great friendly welcome from james...he was extremely helpful and informative of the accomidation, surrounding area and points of interest...top marks!. . the lodge was immaculate, well maintained and very comfortable..the surroundings very peacefull and the whole site very clean and tidy and it was set in wonderful countryside. It was great to have such a high standard and still be dog friendly...with a 2 acre exercise field on site!. . we had a wonderful week and will have no hesitation in booking again..well done guy's,. . many thanks. . gary
Gary from Portsmouth (28 September 2013)

Its ways really nice place to get away from it all. Was so quite park was really nice and staff very helpfully.
Ian from Cambridge (28 September 2013)

It was a lovely lodge but would of been better if it was nearer to the town and beach it was too much driving for me .it was comfortable and very peacefull but too far away from any thing I had to drive every where .
Christine from Highbridge Somerset (28 September 2013)

Excellent holiday at a good price. Accomodation very clean and very cosy
Paula (07 September 2013)

Surroundings of lodges is beautiful - full of wildlife and very peaceful. . lodges are very well equipped, with the small details included (tea, coffee, sugar etc provided, along with tea towels). bathroom was newly fitted and very nice. . very friendly, approachable and helpful owners. . lots of lovely beaches in the area.
Rachel from Nottingham (31 August 2013)

Beautiful surroundings, good facilities, on site fishing lake, very nearby pub, peaceful
Bob from Eastbourne (31 August 2013)

The lodges are in a very quiet setting and a great base from which to travel around cornwall and devon. Our lodge was very clean and well equipped. The lodges are privately owned and well looked after! the owners were very friendly and knowledgable of the local area. Our dog was welcome and there was a big field to exercise her in!. I definitely would go back, I went home relaxed having had a very good holiday!
Peter from Hertfordshire (24 August 2013)

Secluded peaceful location. Spacious airy lodges. Everything you need included, barring a few essentials. Fantastic family owned
Karen from Stockport (24 August 2013)
