Had a fab long weekend in the cabin. Very clean, spacious the hot tub was lovely and private. Scenery was amazing such a lovely rural location. Our daughter is 4 and enjoyed the walk round the reservoir on her bike. Would definitely like to visit again
Jo from Rotherham (03 September 2018)

Fantastic! lovely week. Beautiful views. Cabin was just perfect.

Beautiful setting, friendly staff.
Kimberley from Dukinfield (22 August 2018)

We stayed as a family with a mixed age group, the log cabin had excellent facilities and everything you can possibly think of, the bluetooth speaker and hot tub were a absolute hit with our party. Log cabin was spotless clean and tidy and very comfy beds. Grounds very well kept and view just perfect, so quiet and peaceful. Overall would stay again and highly recommend.
Nicola from Newcastle (13 August 2018)

Wow , what a fantastic place. Staff were brilliant and the area beautiful. We will be coming back. The camping pods are such an amazing experience, people and dog friendly. We went for a quiet break and walked miles!! the best experience for a long time. Definitely 5star. Thankyou to all. A real one to one call made us feel so welcome, brilliant job.
Marcus from Wirral (10 August 2018)

Had a lovely stay with my family. Long walks and then in the hot tub at evening. No shop but a tesco is just down the main road. Would definitely recommend.
Lorraine (10 August 2018)

Stunning views, clean en good lodge, friendly and hardworking staff. Manchester, liverpool, huddersfield, leeds are not far away. Lots of things we haven't seen yet, so for next year we booked again at dovestone holiday park.
Edwin from Ridderkerk (06 August 2018)

Excellent holiday in lodge that was spotless. Staff were extremely helpful and enjoyed daily walk round the reservoir.
John from Stockton On Tees (03 August 2018)

Very nice glamping pods, very clean, the children loved it, the only improvement would be a toaster in the pod.
Tara from Birmingham (03 August 2018)

Fantastic location very helpful friendly staff lodge and hot tub fantastic attention to detail let it down a bit bottom of freezer full of dog hair cutlery drawer had a lot of food bits in and quite a few missing items of glasses and cutlery short there were a few dogs barking at 7am in and around lodges beds were perfect clean and comfortable overall fantastic value
Zoe (03 August 2018)

Absolutely beautiful little hidden gem! this was our second time here same lodge, which is fab! hot tub was cleaned every day be back next year
Julie from Cheshire (03 August 2018)

Very beautiful place. Quiet and plenty of walks to go on !. not much for young kids so advise to take stuff!
Stephanie from Dudley (01 August 2018)

Excellent facilities, surroundings good walks. Lots of little villages to explore and plenty places to eat.
Alice from Montrose (20 July 2018)

Visiting my father for his birthday in nearby grotton so very handy. At the top end of the lodges with hot tub pricing for a 3 day weekend break. The lodges are two bed units, enough room for 4 people. There were only plastic glasses, which is h&s going mad but that's the uk. . the beds were a let down - springs virtually coming through - which as the park is only a couple of years old wasn't great. . the location is great, security was sound and you felt away from the dovestones crowds, it was a hot sunny weekend and so very popular.
Biltcliffe from Hayling Island (16 July 2018)

This is the 6tg heard of booking this type of holiday with you and the first I would not return to. kerfew, to near to pods, layout back to front and kitchen utensils in desperate need of restocking. Asks you to be in doors by 10 and then the pods are partying til 2am. Why have the security guard patrolling. Was our 30th wedding anniversary and this all spoilt it. Any wonder park is empty.
Karen from Newcastle Upon Tyne (16 July 2018)

Fantastic place to stay! . it has a great location with lots of different walks aswell as being close to a village with shops and a supermarket. When you're on site its so peaceful that you wouldn't realise you're so close to a town. Would definitely return!
Vanessa from North Manchester (11 July 2018)

Lovely park very quiet and secure in gorgeous surroundings, within walking distance of the town of greenfield, where you will find pubs and shops. Peak district is right on your doorstep, with miles of excellent walking and very pet friendly. . lodge is gorgeous, comfortable and well equipped although a washing machine would be preferred to a dish washer. Lodge is very private with a private decking area leading to the hot tub and garden area again very private. There is also a bbq which you just need to buy the charcoal. the bedrooms could do with blackout blinds as it's very bright in the mornings and a shower or shower screen, as it's just a shower attached to the bath taps, in the family bathroom would save everyone using the en-suite. overall I would happily return, excellent value for money, peaceful and relaxing it a gorgeous wee part of england, with excellent rail/bus links too.
James from Glasgow (09 July 2018)

Love it here the midges were a tad annoying as we stayed at the end of february last time and we wisely took our tower fan .bbq was excellent thank you .
Caroline from Oldham (08 July 2018)

Lovely lodge and nice little site. really needs a kids play area as you can only stay in the hot tub for so long. some nice walks to go on from there too. please read about late check in as you won't be able to check in after 8pm on your first night. the 6 berth has only 2 bedrooms and isn't really the best situation having someone sleeping in the lounge. the sofa bed mattress was very thin and only really suitable for a child.
Janice from Hopwood (02 July 2018)

Superb holiday, fantastic lodge, great hot tub, stayed a week, wish it was longer.
David from Failsworth Manchester (25 June 2018)

We stayed as a family of 4 adults and one baby in june. The lodges are very close to dovestone reservoir allowing for lovely early morning strolls. On site there are no facilities other than the lodges which suited us fine. Good for a relaxing break. The lodge itself was well equipped, but missing a couple of basics such as a measuring jug. Spacious open plan living/dining/kitchen area. Nice hot tub. Overall a lovely stay
Laura from Durham (22 June 2018)

Dovestone park is small and amazing and in the most beautiful spot. . there are no facilities on site but it is only a twenty minute walk into the nearest village. The staff are friendly and the security guards check the site constantly so that makes it feel really safe
Michelle from Kings Lynn (01 June 2018)

Amazing, beautiful scenery, cabin amazing, hot tub wonderful and very well maintained. Everything you could want.
Kerry from Felixstowe (01 June 2018)

Spent 2 nights in a lakeside pod. Cannot wait to return. The park is small and very peaceful. Opening your door in a morning to the small lake on the park and surrounding hills of dovestones reservoir was wonderful.
Jessica from Barnsley (30 May 2018)

Excellent, clean away from it all holiday..nothing on site which was perfect.but enough in the lodge to keep you occupied games and dvd’s..thanks
Lynne from Bolton (14 May 2018)

Absolutely lovely holiday park, we stayed in a pod for 2 nights for my 50th birthday facing the lake. Took our little shihtzu with us, he loved it. Would definitely return, next time in a lodge they look beautiful. Our pod was so warm, there was still snow around. Has a fridge, small hob and microwave, which is sufficient. Also they have a kettle. On arrival we had a box of chocolates and dog biscuits, which is really a nice touch.

A small but quaint site in a beautiful setting with lots of good walks to explore. Staff on site are extremely helpful and friendly. Will definitely be coming back at some point. We had a lodge with a hot tub. Lodges are like new with full kitchen facilities. Site managers had provided packs of local information to read through and even some board games. Great for families.

Very nice cabin it was very modern, spacious and up to date -we all completely the hot tub!. lovely location down in the valley, though the reservoir near did get quite busy as expected on a weekend. Cabins were perhaps a little too close together or lacking screening between them to keep the accomodation more private than we were expecting. . also our heated water wasnt working the first night-time very they were quick to come over and fix it first thing in the morning and worked perfectly afterwards. . all in all a lovely cabin we would be more than happy to go back!

The staff at dovestone were wonderful, check in was quick and we were escorted to our accommodation and shown around. . the cabin was exceptional very clean and well equipt. . the area was beautiful although with 2 young children we didn't do much walking. We would return here in a few years when we can enjoy the walks in the area.

Absolutely fantastic stay for a week in january with our two year old. Lodges are modern, warm, extremely cosy and well equipped. We had everything we needed, right down to fresh ice cubes in the freezer. The whole place is spotlessly clean. Staff are brilliant, there when you need them without feeling intrusive. Hot tubs are very well maintained. Complimentary wine and chocolates were a lovely touch. Will definitely stay again.

The pod was very clean . and quote spacious. Would be lovely in spring summer but went in winter. So couldn't sit outside which is fine. No tv in pods was ok for me but husband unfortunately can't do without his box. No sofa to relax. Would definately return in summer

We stayed for a week i. The october half term and have already booked to come back in march. We had an incredible family week with lots of beautiful walks, a barbecue and plenty of time in the hot tub. It was like a home from home. The lodge had everything and if I retired I could happily live in one of the lodges forever! I would highly recommend.

Excellent, relaxing break. Perfect place for getting away from it all for a quiet holiday with stunning scenery. Perfect with a dog, lovely walks, lovely soak in the hot tub afterwards. No traffic, excellent for quiet family break. Only thing missing is a little on-site basic shop for essentials e.g. Milk, bread, bacon. I walked to the local village convenience shop which was about 15 minutes along the riverside. Well stocked with a bit of everything.
Claire from Middlesbrough (27 October 2017)

Spent a week at dove stone and thoroughly enjoyed it. Cabin was very clean and well looked after! surrounding area was lovely, plenty of places to walk around. Hot tub was checked and cleaned daily. Overall we had a brilliant relaxed week away and would love to return

The pod was clean and warm and the bathroom was great but not enough info was given about what would be provided and the kitchen was completely bare of crockery, utensils and cutlery. The staff were unable to help and so we we had to buy things in. Also, make sure you take a douvet and all bedding. The location is nice for a day out walking but not much more and if you come for an extended stay then expect to drive to find things to do. Ultimately this is very basic accommodation and the scenery doesn't really warrant the inconvenience or price.

Sonia from County Durham (16 October 2017)

Absolutely loved every minute!! would go back in a heartbeat, hot tub was amazing; so modern and lovely to relax in. Bed was the comfiest I have ever stayed in, everything you need is provided, so clean, very warm, would 10000% recommend. I knew that dovestone reservoir was nearby but did not realise how close and how popular it was; cars were queuing down the road to come to do a walk that was right on our doorstep!
Georgia from Leeds (09 October 2017)

Was such a lovely place to stay and have the piece and quiet yet beautiful scenery. even when it was raining the hot tub was still used.

Lorna from Leicester (06 October 2017)

Amazing place. I normally try and book when the price is reduced as this suits us better! will be making this a yearly trip for sure. Although i've already stayed twice this year! now that they have added gates on the dog friendly cabins this place is perfect.

Brilliant lodge, well equipped and spotless. Hot tub was fab , location was great with plenty around the area and good facilities nearby although not particularly within walking distance. Setting next to the reservoir was very picturesque and the walk around them was great. Nice touch to get a complimentary box of chick and bottle of wine on arrival.

What more can you ask??. was a welcome break and the location was amazing with breathtaking views and walks from the lodge doorstep. Amazing, perfect, relaxing, break. Anyone looking for peaceful quiet retreat this is the place to visit we seriously don't have any negative comments a1 accommodation with helpful courteous staff. . many thanks debbie and staff. We hope to return real soon x
Sue from Wales (08 September 2017)

We really enjoyed our stay and the staff were really helpful and welcoming. We spent most the time with the doors open and going in and out the lodge even though the weather wasn't great. We are hoping to return as part of our honeymoon next year hopefully. While all lodges are positioned well and are secluded for your privacy, I would maybe request not to be the first one at the entrance next time.
Daniel from Scotland (08 September 2017)

The lodge was really nice inside. I think it lacked privacy quite a bit, we had all curtains closed constantly as if you looked out of the living room window, you could see into someone else's bedroom and vice versa. We also could get into the hot tub as there was no shelter over it and it was raining all week which was, in my option, a waste of money as I could've gone to a cheaper lodge with no hot tub. Other than that, the lodge was beautiful and extremely clean and tidy, would recommend in the summer.
