Poor caravan smelt when we arrived of previous people radiator rusty needed replacing would not return
Liza from Cradley Heath (09 April 2018)

The chalet for the price I paid is very old fashioned. We were five and they got a sofa of two. But there was chair no cushion. Small double bed. I have been in caravans before definitely better than that old chalet need renovation for the price they make people paid and more switch.
Marie from Cheshire (09 April 2018)

Location of caravan was at the back of chalets. Parking through narrow alley we had to reverse out. No water supply on arrival. Inadequate central heating control- we had to turn timer on every 2 hours during the night / day. . the caravan was good.
Andrew from Wigan (17 March 2018)

We had booked a gold caravan, on arrival we were put into a very dark corner under trees against a lot of brambles and looking direct into another van opposite us with other homes very close which is against fire regulations. Had no hot water or heating and when reporting this and advising we were not happy with the position were told that is what happens on caravan sites and some people like to be in a corner. Not offered an alternative although the park was fairly empty at the time. Stayed for two nights out of seven and left disgusted to carry on our holiday at a proper site elsewhere. The fridge also had black mould around the glas shelves so poor cleaning.
Donald (17 March 2018)

The views were beautiful however the site is outdated and unless you are a hiker or have lots of money there is next to nothing to do.
Philippa (20 October 2017)

We booked a challet but we're put in a caravan the oven did not work the shower did not drain so flooded the bathroom the lights in the bedroom did not work and the flush on the toilet was faulty. The food in the bar was expensive and very poor quality.
Mike from Newport (20 October 2017)

Very relaxing stay, with a wonderful view from the side window. very close proximity to the sea and beach. Facilities a little dated, nonetheless adequate. I had a very comfortable stay.
Despina from London (13 October 2017)

Very run down entertainment area club house smelt very damp ,caravan was well equipped and very dog friendly no issues there .
Lorna from Ross-On-Wye (13 October 2017)

Caravan accommodation was lovely
Nigel from Swindon (09 October 2017)

Smell of dampness in small bedroom and bathroom.
Noel (06 October 2017)

Nice van again (no 1). didn't do a lot on the park again as it was a base for going out each day. Disappointed that there was no shop and the restaurant didn't do breakfasts. . would recommend more instructions on how to operate things in the van (cooker, central heating etc) and the option to purchase wifi connection for use in the van on a weekly/daily basis as at other sites. . love the location.
Mike from Botley, Hampshire (30 September 2017)

We had a lovely few days in devon
Penelope (18 September 2017)

It was the worst holiday i've ever had . the accommodation was discusting we did get moved to another and we spent half a day bleaching it . the only good thing was the sea view. It is a tired smelly holiday park won't be reccomending it
Margaret (15 September 2017)

Our very dated apartment was above the entertainment room, at no point was this stated. it was like having our room in there. If you sat on the toilet it vibrated from the noise. And this went on till midnight. On leaving we were not asked if everything was ok, the only good thing about this room was the view. The settee was broken, the bed clothes didn't fit, there was no plug point near a mirror( ladies like this to blow dry their hair)
Victoria from West Midlands (15 September 2017)

Great location and idea for family's, couples. Friendly, helpful staff, perfect.
Robert from Banstead (11 September 2017)

Excellent
David from Gloucester (11 September 2017)

Caravan was great . not many facilities close by . food was good sometimes but dreadful when my husband had sausage and mash .ok if you just want a quiet week with a lot of walking depending on the weather
Mandy from Hampshire (09 September 2017)

We booked a platium caravan thinking we would get the best and we got stuck right in a corner behind chalets under a load of trees we wasn't happy as we paid a lot of money the sight is very steep and my mum struggled with hill ! no caravan had view only from club house was a lovely view of the bay ! didnt use the club house so can't comment on that area was nice a couple of nice places to eat !
Linda from Staffordshire (01 September 2017)

A very hilly park but was expected. Views from the park were outstanding. Location was exceptional. Silver caravan was well equipped and comfortable. Had a couple of small faults (window wouldn't close and bathroom light not working) - fixed within hours. Swimming pool in need of maintenance. Tiles lose inside pool and paving slabs uneven around - could be dangerous. Nice area to sit and gorgeous view from around pool. Never used the club as we went into combe martin or ilfracombe in the evening. My daughter loved it and it was good to be able to walk to the beach. Planning to go again next year.
Nicola from Sutton Coldfield (28 August 2017)

We booked a silver apartment in the manor house based on the pictures on the website looking lovely, however the accommodation we stayed in was far from the pictures and was horrible. The place was dirty and had an awful smell. The furniture was old and uncomfortable. No shower, just a bath which wasn't practical. The worst part is, the pictures on the website have the same view in the window as we had from our room, so there's obviously been a clear deliberate use of false pictures on the website. False advertising for sure! we complained to the receptionist and he stated that the pictures on the website that we showed him definitely were not pictures of the apartments they have at this park! the decor in the bar/entertainment area was dated and uninviting so we steered clear! our room was right above the bar so we had very loud music below us until midnight every night, it wouldn't have been as bad if the cabaret singer could actually sing well! the pool was tiny, so when a few children were playing in it, there was no room for us to swim. The only positive is the town is lovely with some amazing views! definitely won't be returning as our weekend was ruined by disgusting and falsely advertised accommodation!
Kieron from High Wycombe (28 August 2017)

Older site with steep hills (but great views to compensate), quiet, 5 mins walk from the village shops, pubs and cafes/ restaurants. . sister site with better bar and swimming pool facilities only 5 mins away. On site bar and pool both a little tired but more than adequate (also great value). loads of great places to visit within 1hrs drive and a great beach in the village, loads of rock pools and a rocky shoreline to explore. If you love family holidays where you are busy everyday and need an easily reached base then you'll do well to consider combe martin beach
Phil from Southport (26 August 2017)

Combe martin beach was a fantastic place to stay. The staff are lovely people. The accommodation was excellent. The views were amazing. My son enjoyed the facilities especially the park by the caravan we stayed in
Theresa (26 August 2017)

Bar staff rely good had a entertainer that was horrible and entertainment manager was as bad
Robert from Poole (25 August 2017)

Great place. Amazing
Hitesh from Luton (25 August 2017)

Great location, caravan was clean and tidy with everything we required. Clubhouse was small but functional enough but with the seafront and village within five to ten minutes walk you didn't really need to use the clubhouse. Outside swimming pool was well looked after, ideal base for holiday with ilfracombe, woolacombe and lynmouth all within easy short drives away while combe martin itself provided enough entertainment with crabbing and exploring on an evening.
Mark from Tipton (25 August 2017)

I wouldn't stay there again nothing to do for a 10 and 12 yr old and the pool wasn't heated for 3 days bloody freezing
Gareth from Waltham Cross (25 August 2017)

Such a brilliant holiday, staff were very helpful
Sarah from Petersfield (25 August 2017)

This was a lovely place to stay the caravan was a little tired and dated (the curtains weren't long enough for the windows) the beds were uncomfortable and a little on the small side. However, I would definitely go back but would pay more money to stay in a better caravan. The staff were helpful but we didn't need anything from them after arriving. We left some items behind which a lovely lady called carol was very helpful in sorting it out to be posted to us. Couldn't fault the location and great views. (no view from the caravan apart from trees!!) lots to do in and around the area and all in all a great place to stay.
Gemma from Gloucester (21 August 2017)

Allfull accommodation only sofa bed to sit on and 5 chairs at the table !! this acomadation is to sleep six ,had to ask for basic utensils i.e fish slice ,veg knife which I never received so bought my own .potatoe peeler .cooker was a death trap as unable to light oven with the ignighter provided !!. accommodation is very dated . also the acomadation was not that clean , as I have worked in this industry for the last 15 yrs basic cleaning was not done to standard !!
Donna (21 August 2017)

Have been trying to go through customer care about issues we had and just keep being promised reply by different people 3 weeks later and still not resolved!
David from Crowborough (19 August 2017)

Nice place to stay for a quiet holiday, plenty to do around combe martin, only negative part was that the heated pool was colder than the sea, we tried the sister sites pool but that was the same so ended up using the indoor pool a short drive away and paying. I would go back but a heated pool would be nice.
Dean (19 August 2017)

Completely run down. Unclean and falling to peices. Infested with fleas, which bit everyone staying in the caravan
Kristina (19 August 2017)

Such an awful experience. Cooker was broken, went to let reception know - she said someone would be over to look within the hour but they didn't come until the next day we our food was ruined. The place was really grimey I say grimey as dirty would have been polite. The beds were horribly old, tatty and uncomfy. Reception did give us extra mattresses to double up but this didn't massively help. The worst part of the holiday was by far the onsite restaurant.. please do not eat there. We were given a £30 resturant voucher for the 6 of us as an apology for the cooker and decided to save it for the last night. We were given 1 still frozen lasagne. Half a chicken that was so dry it crumbled when cut. A chicken pie that must have been microwaved as the chicken was rock hard along all the edges. And a curry with a naan bread that was harder than stone -. everyone's dinner was fully inedible. We complained and didnt accept the meals and the young girl just said 'soz you didn't like it'. the pool was freezing and we were told the boiler was broken meaning we couldn't use it for the whole trip. There was dog poo around the site. All in all it was awful.
Carla from Solihull (18 August 2017)

Club house set out poorly. . staff were drinking when working and all ways on phone texting
Robert from Mansfield (18 August 2017)

Was bery nice and caravan itself was nice and clean but water and electric was huge problem. No hot water in shower. Couldnt have hot shower for all four days we were there.
Abhi from Birmingham (18 August 2017)

Unfortunately the caravan was quite dirty on arrival. There was food left in the freezer, the fridge was dirty, mugs were disgusting & upholstery was filthy & stank. The lady from reception came & cleaned the the fridge/freezer, gave us new mugs & plugged a smelly in to mask the smell. The club house was far too small for the size of the park & the wait on evening meals was 1.5 hours - even for a takeaway! very short on staff & after several times of asking if we had an allocated parking space we gave up & had to ask other families if spaces were free!
Sophie from Bridgwater (18 August 2017)

Great really enjoyed it
Debbie from London (18 August 2017)

The caravan site is dated, facilities aren't very good either. Was a cheap holiday but wouldn't come back again. The caravan was tucked into a corner with no view of anything.
Matthew from Warwick (18 August 2017)

The caravan was lovely but it was the worse bed we have ever slept in! so uncomfortable with springs poking through the mattress didn't sleep for 3 nights! such a shame. also no one available for us to check in and we had to wait in the bar queue. Waited 30 minutes for 1 member of staff to serve everyone who wanted drinks and food before we could check in. I had already called ahead for directions and no one answered phone. On a busy check in day I would have expected there to be adequate staff to deal with all the arrivals. . we had nowhere to park our car near our caravan. I understand that each caravan was allocated one space however we were not able to park nowhere near for our entire stay. This was problematic upon arrival as it was raining and we had to unload and walk up steep hills before reaching our caravan. I purposely paid for a higher spec caravan (gold) for this reason. Very disappointed.
Lyndsey from Bristol (14 August 2017)

We left a day early. Caravan was damp, mouldy, cooking equipment wasn't washed up and nothing to wash up with such as dishcloths, washing up liquid etc. Not suitable for toddlers. Fireworks late at night terrified our dogs and children, advanced warning of fireworks would have been appreciated. We got what we paid for I guess.
Matthew from Shaftesbury (14 August 2017)

Very nice time. Nice staff and place . the only comment I will say is the bronze caravans are quite old wauld have been nice if they were a bit more modern
Glenn from Riegate (14 August 2017)

We had a pet caravan. we have no major complaints, apart from the bathroom, which smelled of wee. We asked for it to be re-cleaned. Not sure if it was, or if we just got used to the smell. swimming pool was cold, apparently the heater wasn't working properly. Overall, we had a wonderful holiday, park was lovely. So close to the town. Combe martin itself was gorgeous. Weather was lovely. we would definitely stay again.
Helen from Combe Martin (12 August 2017)

Accommodation was rather tired with kitchen and dining cupboards needing some repair work or replacement. rusty radiators looked poor. . there was nowhere to site outside the caravan in fine weather. no chairs or table provided. . accommodation on arrival was clean and tidy. . limited pubs and restaurants in coombe martin for older people.
Carol from Chesham (12 August 2017)

Combe martin is a lovely place. The park is clean and well maintained and staff are pleasant. Unfortunately the location of the caravan we stayed in was not ideal as we were stuck next to the play area which was very noisy late into the evening. We asked to move but were told no other units were available. If we had known we would be in that area of the park we would not have booked so sadly this did spoil things a bit. There is also an issue with parking, we had an allocated space marked with the caravan number but this space was often taken leaving us with nowhere to park. We had a good holiday and would definitely visit combe martin again but probably won't be staying in a caravan!
Rebecca from Suffolk (12 August 2017)

Superb site in a superb position can't fault and would find it hard to better I never go to the same place twice but this was a head turner loved it from start to finnish
Stuart from Telford (11 August 2017)

Lovely place, staff very friendly and approachable. Only complaint was that some of the white goods very worn and rusty. The outside of the chalets could have done with a spring clean as lots of cobwebs in evidence. More than made up for though by the staff , the views, the entertainment was good too. Had a brilliant time thanks
Kate from Manchester (11 August 2017)

Excellent location with many local attractions brilliant for the family and would definitely return
Stephen from Keighley West Yorkshire (11 August 2017)

Kids enjoyed was looking a bit tired swimming pool was fun but a bit of maintenance at beginning of sean wouldn't go a miss
Simon from Sidmouth (07 August 2017)

Swimming pool was freezing, lovely location, entertainment was good.
Michelle from Wells, Somerset (07 August 2017)

Had a wonderful week with my daughter aged 11
Andrew from Australia (05 August 2017)

The caravan was good . the wifi which you can only get in the bar was terrible and always went off or was slow . a couple of times the bar ran out of a larger or cider which wasn't replaced straight away as they had to wait for someone to come to change a barrell all the games in the games room were really outdated so when it was raining there was nothing for the kids to do
Steven (05 August 2017)

It was a terrible holiday and horrible accommodation!! have emailed john fowler and they are looking into it ..
Vincent from Cheltenham (04 August 2017)

The site very good. But the caravan 62 was not even what I would call a value caravan it was damp dirty lights didn't work windows wouldn't lock properly and a radiator fell off the wall in kids room to name somethings.
Phillip from Luton (04 August 2017)

Great. Paid for a gold caravan and this was exceptionally good. Nice quiet site.
Vicki from Salisbury (04 August 2017)

Nice but too small a site. We arrived late and not having a shop on site was a pain maybe that would be a improvement. Nice area with lots to do nearby
Neil from Gillingham (04 August 2017)

The resort was in beautiful surroundings and the staff were helpful and friendly but the accomodation was in desperate need of updating.lack of a shower in a park with swimming facilities is a big no no in this day and age.the swimming pool itself had many tiles and grouting falling away and each time I entered I found myself picking pieces of tiles and cement out of the pool.the chalet slept up to 6 but there was a woeful lack of seating facilities and the bed settee had seen better days.when we did unfold it it had many stains on it and an unpleasant odour.it is such a shame because the surroundings were beautiful and so peaceful.if the park was updated I am sure it could command higher rates and my family and I would most certainly return.
Adrian from Sunderland Tyne And Wear (24 July 2017)

We had a fantastic holiday. We stayed in a value bronze 3 bed caravan. Was pretty old in style but perfectly clean. My children thought it was amazing and loved it. Perfect for us. The site was lovely amazing sights and close to the beach. All in a lloyd fab holiday abday would definitely go back.
Karen from Essex (24 July 2017)

I took my elderly disabled mother and this site is not suitable, however I was told this at the time of booking so we knew , however nobody told us how steep the site was and sadly my car struggled to get up the very very steep hill to the chalets- I don't know how people managed further up, the chalet was very shabby, the carpet was full of sand with no vacuum only a broom, no laundry on site, dead wood lice and spiders in the bathroom, with only one very small and uncomfortable 2 seater sofa to sit on I wonder how a family of 4 or 6 would cope I had to sit on a hard dining room chair for the entire week also the kitchen equipment was minimal no chopping board or sharp knives - however it was cheap so can't really complain
Jayne from Bristol (22 July 2017)

Lovely peaceful holiday with stunning views
Jacqueline from Coventry (21 July 2017)

The park itself was ok, but the caravan was as. I know it was a budget one for taking pets into, but we often use budget to save money. However, our caravan smelt awful, the seating looked grubby and the bedding smelt so bad i'm glad I brought my own blanket. We laid towels over the pillows to sleep. Made me fell grubby staying in it.
Tracey (17 July 2017)

The caravan was ok but very dated. The shower was cracked so when we had a shower water was running out the bottom of the caravan. very old van.
Rodney (08 July 2017)

Fantastic time. Lots to see. Not far from beaches and coves . unfortunately the week we were down 3roads were closed out of combe martin making the journey's difficult. But that is just bad timing!!we had interesting days out
Michael from Stamford (24 June 2017)

Staff are very helpful even under pressure. Bar man had to tend bar, check people in and sort problems out. Please put more staff on. Overall experience excellent.
Clancy from Telford (10 June 2017)

We arrived at the site by breakdown truck after our car had broken down . on checking in we had all our luggage. 2 members of staff helped carry it to our accomodation. The lady behind the bar called carol was amazing. Helped us find a local taxi firm to pick our car up on the tuesday. The club and outdoor pool were a delight. And the entertainment staff hilarious. Will definitely be returning.
Susan from Wolverhampton (10 June 2017)

Lovely, quiet site with excellent views over combe martin bay. . . I wasn't aware there was a clubhouse on the site, but it wasn't too noisy.
Sophie from Peterborough (02 June 2017)

Bloody brilliantly relaxing
Kellie from Milton Keynes (27 May 2017)

A great place to stay and on the coastal path, good bus service and links to/from ilfracombe.
Adrian from Burton On Trent (27 May 2017)

Nicely situated site, staff lovely, caravan was spotless....very pleased
Susan from Bracknell (26 May 2017)

The chalet we had was basic decor but had everything we needed and was clean, the heater did not work, thankfully it was not too cold,we did report it and apparently they came to check but after a few minutes it stopped working. The staff were friendly and mostly helpful. The site was tidy and well kept, and as said on brochure it was hilly. It was not farto walk to coombe martin it is a nice place but not lots to do but people were friendly and was a good base to see the surrounding area.
Helen (19 May 2017)

When I arrived at my caravan it had no blinds so was slight pain however I had brought food along with me which I had cooked and put in the freezer only to realise a few days later that the fridge was switched off from a switch on the other side of the room, I didn't realise this until the maintenance manager pointed it out when he arrived to check the problem. This meant all my food had to be thrown away and on top of that I dealt with a very rude lady at the reception who was not at all helpful advising she couldn't t do anything about it. I then complained and as a goodwill gesture a very helpful maintenance manager called rob had given me and my family an evening voucher to spend on an evening meal at the restaurant. I was going to give the site a bad rating but rob had helped a lot and so for that I am overturning my decision instead, giving a good rating!
Naheem (28 April 2017)

Clubhouse and reception very run down and not very clean , caravan was dirty and very close together
Paul from Frome (24 April 2017)

The site itself is steep and not suitable for people with mobility issues. Having said that the site is quiet and clean. . though the clubhouse is basic, the staff are really friendly and you are able to access meals after 6pm either to eat in or take away - the meals were good and large. Would definitely consider returning.
Melanie from Wolverhampton (21 April 2017)

Loved the site so lovely to walk across the road to the beach and rock pools. Not to bad to pop up to the other camp site for the little ones to use the pool.
Sarah from Bristol (21 April 2017)

We had a fabulous holiday at combe martin beach our accommodation was excellent with beautiful sea views . staff were lovely and helpful.very unspoilt location and surroundings which helps slow up the pace and to relax .
Anthony from No109bn (21 April 2017)

The facilities on the site were tired and old including the pub/bar/reception. The caravan for mid range was also the same, very dirty, rusty and although it was listed as heated we was given two plug in heaters. . I would not return.
Zara from Stafford (17 April 2017)

The staff were ridiculous at the end, we had 300 people staying in 30 caravans, check out was 11, couple of vehicles broke down . because we was still trying to fix the vehicles the staff said they called the police. Really? what for?
Darren (15 April 2017)

This caravan was extremely basic and in pretty poor condition. However this was exactly what we were looking for with two grubby children who love the outdoors, a baby and a dog. At least we knew we couldn't do to much damage and that helped us relax about it. The location was amazing. So close to the beach. Excellent price for the week. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a cheap holiday and doesn't mind basic accommodation.
Saffron from Reading (15 April 2017)

Very quiet site, very relaxing. Excellent base for exploring devon. 2 min walk to shingly beach, amazing for rock pooling and dog friendly, a few more feet to a sandy beach and the little town of combe martin.
Helen from Bristol (14 April 2017)

Caravan needs to be cleaned properly more often not just the surfaces but cupboards definitely the blinds etc
Charlotte from Kent (14 April 2017)

Beautiful location. Lovely premium caravan
Nikki from London (10 April 2017)

We always plan our holidays around our autistic grandson. combe martin is a perfect place for us all to have fun, relax as a family and know our grandson can enjoy him self. The caravans are lovely and clean, the view superb and the staff efficient and friendly. The stripeys are fab, and really made our grandsons holiday. We will be back again for another stay in the future.
Cynthia from Brecon (10 April 2017)

Fantastic views from the apartment. Clean and tidy. Very spacious. Slightly outdated decor but this did not bother us at all. Perfect area to stay to explore the coast. The amount of stairs and steep slopes would be difficult for people with mobility issues. would definitely visit again.
Pamela from Chelmsford (08 April 2017)

We stayed in the gold standard caravan and it was lovely! perfect for 5 of us! everything was clean and tidy upon arrival, had everything we needed, except oven gloves, and we had a sea view that was an added bonus. Right outside our caravan was a play area for the kids, which was handy! we arrived on the 31st of march for 1 weeks stay so went to the reception area to collect the keys (the reception area is in the bar) and there was a murder mystery weekend event on and it was packed but the bar manager told us that a 10 minute walk to the sister site, would be better that weekend for the kids. We went to that site and then everynight for entertainment as underneath was a soft play area that the kids loved! staff at both sites were friendly and helpful. We would stay at the sister site in the future with the kids as it seemed more to do for the younger children! and the pool was open here. I don't think the pool at our site was as it was green and not used! we had a great week away here, perfect location for local days out and a 5 minute walk to the village and seafront! would definitely stay here again, but the kids would prefer the sister site.
Kirsty from Surrey (07 April 2017)

Cutlery was dirty as was the kettle, toaster and drawer. Heating did not work but prompt response. Play area was closed for reprinting which wasn't ideal for our two children. . chalets looked very run down.
Zoe from Cornwall (13 March 2017)

We had a lovely short break and hope to return soon :-)
Julie from Gloucester (10 March 2017)

We got what we paid for,the caravan was tired but all we wanted was a base so for the money paid for the four of us for the week who could complain, clean bedding free electric and a nice setting, pity about the wind and rain all week but all in all great.
Lindsay from Bristol (10 March 2017)

Lovely mid week break, very welcoming staff, excellent gold caravan.
Thomas from Paignton (10 March 2017)

Small park easy access to beach suitable only for mobile people areas steep
Mark (06 March 2017)

We had a fantastic stay even though it rained all weekend!! the accommodation was lovely, very comfortable, clean and modern, staff really helpful and friendly.
Nicholas from Bristol (06 March 2017)

Great time lovely area, really recommend
Janet from Ashby De La Zouch (01 October 2016)

Very good
David from Northants (24 September 2016)

The cooker was very slow to cook, and some cooking utensils were missing. Toaster only made bread dry and did not toast. Fridge was functional but needed bigger freezer for self catering. double bed was small and uncomfortable so had to sleep in the single beds which were not much better. Only one two seater settee dipped in middle so I had to use dining chair throughout stay. T.v kept cutting out and did not have many channels.
Annette from Eastbourne (24 September 2016)

Very 1960's decor . park is generaly tatty , although clean and tidy it could do with a makeover. We have stayed in the main building and in a mews apartment, both of which was like staying in your great grans house , very clean, old fashioned and not very well equiped .but the staff are very nice , friendly and helpfull .
Colin from Corsham , Wilts (17 September 2016)

Enjoyed our stay very much. Tbh the caravan could use a little tlc, there are some worn areas and items but the caravan was very clean and perfectly inhabitable and the few areas in no way effected our stay in any way. Overall the site is very clean and the staff knowledgeable and helpful, and the location is fantastic.
Bruce from Rushden (02 September 2016)

Small park but in a fantastic location. Would definitely return. We stayed in a gold caravan and the quality of the caravan was fantastic. Didn't use the bar or restaurant on site or the pool as was so much to do in the surrounding area.
Nicola (29 August 2016)

Holiday was fab . location was amazing can't wait to come back next year for a week
Becky from Northamptonshire (29 August 2016)

First time to combe martin and only 2nd time to devon (always been cornwall before) and have to say the location and views are amazing :-). I loved the fact that you could walk to the beach and didnt have to worry about driving and finding somewhere to park and having a pool on site to was fantastic. Even though the bar is small I preferred that as it made it more personal and friendly . the entertainment was just about right. We had bronze accommodation and whilst it wasn't the best condition (it was a bit old and just needed some tlc) it was clean and did what we needed it to. we have booked a gold chalet for next year for 2 weeks and have to say the price is very reasonable for high season. Only downside was the hills :-) but you get used to them after a few days and it certainly gets you fit but not suitable for less able bodied persons. Overall we had a lovely week at combe martin and would highly recommend it to anyone.
Sandra from Ruislip, London (15 August 2016)

It was like stepping back to the 1980's. The entertainment area needs to be larger and the caravans need modernising. Apart from that it was great.
Mark from Kirkby In Ashfield (13 August 2016)

It was very enjoyable holayday I give out of 10 9
Mohammed from Bradford (13 August 2016)

Bronze caravan was dated but very clean and very cheap. The kids loved the pool. The location was perfect for dogs with the beach nearby.
James (13 August 2016)

Site was ok, but limited facilities, although did have some evening entertainment for small children. Only a small shop (off site) and a long distance to a supermarket. Site and entrance very steep and hilly.
Peter from Birstall (12 August 2016)

Not what we hoped for, entertainment and facilities in the club house was very poor. The food was average but the frustrating thing was after only being open for 20 minutes they did not have the meals they advertised on the menu available. I tried to order 5 meals and 3 were not available so had to order something else from the limited menu. Very disappointing. The gold caravan was acceptable. I would not recommend the site to anyone. The literature says the other park is a short walk away, it is not! it took 25 minutes and it is not safe to walk as there is no pavement or street lights. I expected much more for my money, I paid close to £600 for a 4 night stay and to say that we were all disappointed is an understatement!
Stephen from Weymouth (12 August 2016)

The bed sheets smells like its been stored for moths or years in a damp storage. That was one of negative side including the shower in two chalet rooms without shower.
Connie from Chesterfield (12 August 2016)

Last minute cheap budget chalet, will upgrade next time as although clean did not have sower and single beds had plastic covered mattresses on, never mind. Loved combe martin so park was across from the beach and it was pretty and not too busy. Club on camp did reasonable food and a lovely view over the sea
Julia from Alcester (05 August 2016)

The children s evening entertainment was very poor, little or no attempt to lead or engage with children. Disappeared for 10-15 minutes to come back dressed as a fox. The kids morning club didn't seem to exist nobody around when we looked for it. Heating in the pool turned off overnight. . steps into caravan dangerous. High, narrow, steep and slippy. no room to open the door without going back down the steps.
Sarah from Hereford (05 August 2016)

The reception staff were absolutely fantastic and very helpful, as was the lifeguards at the pool. They were all so friendly and clearly enjoyed their jobs. . I would definitely stay with my family again.
Neil (05 August 2016)

Great location but park is very out of date & facilites are limited. Apartment looked like an old peoples home, studio flat slightly better and had a great view, however no shower only a bath and not enough hot water it didn't fill the bath enough to wash without waiting for the boiler to refill.
Chris from New Forest (05 August 2016)

We had an amazing time at the combe martin holiday park! really enjoyed every minute. The children loved the pool and the disco and entertainment. The accommodation was spacious and clean and comfortable. The staff were lovely and helpful. The only thing that was disappointing was that there was no facilities for washing clothes with 5 kids and the fridge and freezer compartment were way to small for 7 people. But overall we enjoyed every minute of our holiday and would recommend the site to friends etc. Thanks for a wonderful holiday.
Lucy from Gloucester (05 August 2016)

The location of combe martin beach has a beautiful view over the stunning cove. The onsite restaurant/takeaway served decent enough food for average value. . the village and beach is lovely and great to explore at sunset. Ice cream places stay open late too.
Janette from Soham, Ely (30 July 2016)

Fantastic location and view. Helpful staff and great food in the bar. The only downside was the caravans could do with tlc!
Rebecca (25 July 2016)

Good location chalet needs little tlc but would definitely recommend
Melanie from Nottingham (23 July 2016)

We had a lovely week at combe martin beach with our 3 year old son. We stayed in a platinum caravan, which was very modern and spotlessly clean on arrival. We could get from our caravan to the beach in 5 minutes. We also found it was a great base to visit other local towns and attractons. We would definitely stay here again in the future.
Gary from Oldbury (18 July 2016)

Unfortunately double bed unsatisfactory, poor quality.
Anne from Freshwater Isle Of Wight (08 July 2016)

Very nice park in good location
Nick from Bath (11 June 2016)

Great location, lovely clean accommodation, friendly staff, my family really enjoyed our stay and will definately be returning!
Emma from Birmingham (03 June 2016)

Great apartment very spacious with stunning views. Small club house area but all staff friendly and helpful. Could do with some work to bring it a bit up to date but when you see the views it offers you really don't mind some of the dated areas of the main building. Very steep in places like a lot of the whole general area. Woodland walk was also enjoyed.
Claire from Chalfont St Giles (03 June 2016)

It was fantastic experience for my kids . they enjoyed much and the scenery was awesome. Near the beach as well . overall it was really good .
Madeline (03 June 2016)

Was a lovely site although if you have a child that needs a pushchair then I wouldnt say its a good site due to thevery steep hills that are on the site but the views are absolutley beautiful. The other aspect of the holiday that we liked was the separate beach for dogs to socialise and play.
Natasha from Wolverhampton (03 June 2016)

Great location - caravans can improve but it's ok for price.
Ankit (30 May 2016)

Very nice place
Keltoum from London (30 May 2016)

It was a basic holiday, the chalet could really have done with an upgrade a while back but it was a pet friendly chalet with kids and dogs in it, had it have been amazingly re modelled I would have worried more. It was ideal for what we needed. Staff were so helpful at every turn and the kids loved the kids club and foxy. Outdoor pool could be open more as only open for the saturday not sunday of bank hol weekend and it was warm enough. Can't complain for the price and combe martin is lovely
Debbie from Usk (30 May 2016)

Ankit (30 May 2016)

Food ok. swimming pool not open and looked a very poor state no water in and mucky. . not in use but looked an eyesore. caravan old and dissapointing. Bed made for us when arriving good. Other camp was better and would choose that one when we come again.sandaway beach. Coombe martin good location nice walks. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Combe martin is a pretty little town and the site is in a good location. It is very difficult to get around as it is really steep (it does advise this on the site clearly). because of this the views are great although the site not recommended for anyone with any sort of mobility issue. The bar and facilities were very basic and small (pool not in use at easter). we had a deal for a bronze chalet for much cheaper than the advertised price and this was fine for a cheap base to sleep as we went out all day every day. If we stayed again I would need to stay in a much higher grade of accommodation but considering the full price for the bronze chalet i'm not sure it would be value for money. The staff were friendly and helpful. I felt very sorry for the two guys who were running the kids club: we turned up one morning and were the only people there. A couple of other children turned up later and they sat outside on the steps painting a large canvas sign in the cold. The staff were trying to be as enthusiastic as they could given the circumstances but they seemed to be working with limited resources which was impeding their ability to provide a good experience for the children.

The area is fantastic but the site is very run down. they allow dogs in the chalets but then not in the bar area therefore we did not use the facilities and walked into town where there was a fab pub called the dolphin which allowed dogs in . . we didn't meet any staff apart from when we checked in and out.
Elizabeth from Kidderminster (31 October 2015)

Nice place value for money. Would not book less than a gold caravan. Site is very steep so take note of mobility advice

Lovely location although a tricky entrance in and out of the site. Awful accommodation but nice staff.

Very enjoyable holiday, area very beautiful, site very clean and organised,.staff, particularly reception, very friendly and helpful,.accomodation excellent,. thankyou. Mr & mrs c. Holmes.
Confirmed Holidaymaker from Prestatyn North Wales. (25 September 2015)

Bedroom had a lovely urine aromour and the boiler broke, so cold showers only.
James from Birmingham (31 August 2015)

Worst holiday ever it was disgusting smells horrible don't waste your time or money like I did. I only stayed there 1 night because I couldn't get back home the same day I arrived.
Loretta from Wolverhampton (31 August 2015)

Very tired and dated . entertainment and facilities very basic. Location couldn't be better. We took 2 dog's and the chalet was far bigger than expected.
Kate (29 August 2015)

Although we enjoyed the holiday itself the park looked a little tired and needs some updating. there didn't seem much entertainment on offer either. the location was lovely and had some super views.
Nick from Cleethorpes (28 August 2015)

The location was quite good as we could walk into the village which due to the lack of entertainment was a god send. Apparently all the entertainment was at the sister site sandaway, which was half a mile up a steep unlit path. We walked up once early evening, we asked the kids did they want to go for the entertainment the both said no way! (aged 14 & 9) I wouldn't recommen it for families who wish to stay on site as we have been to haven, parkdean and park resorts which all offer far better entertainment. . the pool area was not cleaned once in the week we were there (the same bobbles and leaves were there all week and also spikey brambles were growing along the floor in the pool area where the kids were bare footed! ) there was also a big sign sign saying pool closed weds but it wasn't,it was actually closed on the thursday! surely we should be able to access the pool every day of of our holiday. Also the chorine levels were checked whilst my children were in the pool, they must have been low as the lifeguard then added chlorine to the pool whilst the children were in the pool, surely this could have been done prior to opening as we went in around opening at 10am.
