We stayed in coombes lodge no.2 it was beautiful and spacious and the hot tub was amazing with no1 over looking you as we were high up. A small site but beautiful surroundings and walkable or short drive to the local shop and pubs in the village. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be returning.
Hannah (16 April 2018)

Had a brilliant weekend here as two couples. Lodge was stunning inside and out, lovely quiet surrounding. Hot tub was amazing! would recommend and will definetly be back soon!
Sophie (16 April 2018)

My family and I (2 children 4 & 1.5) stayed in woodlands view no4, and couldn't be happier. . we found the lodge spacious, clean, and well equipped. . when we arrived the hot tub hadn't reached temperature so we were given a complimentary bottle of prosecco and we enjoyed that the following eve soaking in the tub. . only small issue we had was the remote for the blu ray player was missing, and the buttons on the unit wouldn't actually play the disks we brought for the kids, but luckily there was netflix built into the tv so that kept them happy enough. . we would definitely return in the future.
Robert from Sudbury, Suffolk (13 April 2018)

Lovely lodge, clean and lovely decor. Hot tub great and nice views.
Michelle from Alford (06 April 2018)

The cottage was amazing. Very beautiful, clean and modern. Location is great too, a short drive away from town and lovely views & walks around.
Sophie from Leeds (02 April 2018)

We’ve stayed here for the last 3 years and it is still fantastic. My main issues is that the prices have hiked up and the standards have slipped a little. Just attention to detail, like remote control not working, shower cubicle dirty, light hanging off, hot tub not hot on arrival. Little things, but at this price the housekeeping needs to be spot on. I would still recommend however due to beautiful surroundings.
Maria from Ilkeston (02 April 2018)

Had a really lovely mini moon in the amour deluxe log cabin. On arrival, the staff were really helpful and we had a bottle of champagne waiting for us. We had such a relaxing break and would recommend to anyone.
Laura (02 April 2018)

A deep clean is desperately needed. Basic house keeping is below standard. I was very disappointed.
Julian from Derby (02 April 2018)

Superb location and lovely lodges, everything you need for peace and quiet. thank you
Rebecca (30 March 2018)

Lovely romantic weekend in a beautiful lodge with amazing surroundings.
Clare from Rotherham (26 March 2018)

Excellent weekend away & we will definitely visit again. Log cabin was excellent & clean. The weather wasn't great but it was fun being in the hot tub when it was snowing. Next time we will hopefully be able to do the walks that we had planned.
Paul from Sheffield (19 March 2018)

Outstanding holiday, we have been 7 times now and love it. Always a warm welcome and lovely lodge!
Kevin from Nottingham (16 March 2018)

One word .fabulous!
Sharon (12 March 2018)

Fantastic place, great lodge and amazing views around the lodge. It was so relaxing and quiet, we had a wonderful weekend away.
Craig from Derby (12 March 2018)

We stayed in amour lodge and enjoyed a very relaxing week. Highly recommend this location especially if you want to just chill out and relax.
Ellen (09 March 2018)

We had a wonderful time. A very well appointed lodge. Just one thought - there was no power point nearby a mirror when my wife was doing her hair!
Meurig from Bridgend S.Wales (09 March 2018)

Excellent retreat had a great time would go again
Chris from Nottingham (09 March 2018)

The lodge was beautiful and the surroundings were lovely, very quite area which was lovely! you could see and hear the airplanes going to and from manchester airport as manchester is not too far. Peak district is not too far either. The town charlesworth was very quite on monday (no pubs open) but open rest of the week and lovely friendly people.
Stephanie from Nottingham (09 March 2018)

We were there while the snow was really bad and we didn't we would get home, I needed to get home for my medication or we could have stayed, mark at the lodge could not have been any more helpful and he drove us to manchester so we could get a train back to sheffield so we were so thankful to him, we left our car until it was possible to collect it the next week
Karen from Barnsley (02 March 2018)

Well equipped, clean and modern. The owners are friendly and helpful. We made good use of the hot tub even though it snowed. Would definitely return and recommend.
Michael from Bristol (02 March 2018)

My second visit and it is still amazing as the first time lovely surroundings and beautiful lodges highly recommended
Shaun from Sheffield (26 February 2018)

Perfect family break. Not to big so the children can play and make friends while you can keep an eye on them. The local village is small but has everything you need, especially the fresh food shop called the village greens (they are very friendly and helpful). . the weather was very cold so having the hot tub closer to the door would have been nice.
Chris from Wigan (23 February 2018)

Great location, peaceful, helpful staff, very reasonable price. Would recommend to anyone.
Christopher from Newcastle (23 February 2018)

The amour deluxe was a stunning lodge and anyone who stays will have a lovely time.
Stuart from Nottm (19 February 2018)

I surprised my partner with a 4 night break in the armour deluxe for valentines week. Beautiful location. On arrival there was a long shared narrow bumpy track with a couple of huge holes that really wouldn’t take much effort to be filled if all the houses at the end chipped in. Very nice lodge and was bigger than I was expecting. Absolutely beautiful. Since it was freezing weather and february oh and valentines no one was about so it was extremely quiet. Hot tub appeared to be well maintained and was great. The pictures on website made it look like the lodge was secluded and next to a wood. In reality all the lodges were very close together so i’m guessing in better weather not very private. Our lodge was next to a small area of trees which had access for people. All in all it was a beautiful lodge and perfect for that time of year. The only thing that let it down was there were several kitchen draws that would not stay shut and a few handles in kitchen and bedroom that were hanging off and just resting on screws to make it look intact. More than a few days there and i’d of been going crazy trying to shut them! it had been mentioned on previous reviews. It really doesn’t take long to pick up a screw driver and tighten the runners or attach the handles back on. If we had one with us we would have fixed them! having stayed in other lodges it was lacking hooks to hang dressing gowns by hot tub, hooks inside to hang coats and no where to hang towels., a form to fill for recommendations/ repairs etc would be beneficial for them also. It was still a beautiful lodge and great for that time of year just needs some tlc if it’s to keep ratings high as people do read reviews and do not want to see the same items requiring repair on each review. They were very nice staff and i’m sure if i’d of said while I was there they may of fixed the drawers but they would already be aware. However I did mention the lodge needed a shaving mirror as my partner struggled. They said they would get one at the weekend.
Clare from Lincolnshire (16 February 2018)

Fantastic lodge and lovely surroundings. I got a late deal so was well worth the price!
Naz from Sheffield (12 February 2018)

The lodge and site was beautiful next to woodland and the people in the local village were very friendly. Would highly recommend.
Alan from Trefnant (09 February 2018)

Beautiful surrounds and accommodation
Angela from Warwickshire (09 February 2018)

This was my 4th visit which speaks volumes. Clean, modern, comfy beds. Easy walk with bit of hill to village pub. Great area.
Kate from Lincs (05 February 2018)

Lovely clean site. The lodge was lovely with great views and the staff was great.had a great weekend
Brian from Belper Derbyshire (05 February 2018)

Lovely place. Visited here more than once. Perfect location in a great area. . clean and well furnished lodge can't ask for more. Will return again.
Stephen from West Mids (03 January 2018)

Lovely location lovely cabin only downside was no heating on when we arrived, not enough kitchen utensils ie no sharp knives, measuring jug, scissors, roasting pan ,small frying pan. Only two saucepans and one small milk sauce pan. Made trying to cook a christmas dinner very frustrating but still had a good time.
Roger from West Bromwich (27 December 2017)

Stayed in the armour deluxe from 18th to 22nd december 2017. Everything about it was perfect. The cabin is really spacious and was lovely and clean throughout. I loved that there was a christmas tree all beautifully decorated! can’t fault our stay at all! we will definitely return.
Katie from Cambridge (22 December 2017)

Had a lovely 3 night break to celebrate our 31st wedding anniversary. we have stayed inj quite a few lodges now so find it quite easy to compare. coombes lodge no.1 (charlesworth lodges) was nice, cosy and relaxing. the only criticism we have is having to walk out of the main patio doors and over the decking to get to the hot tub which is located at the back of the lodge. yes, the tub is nice and private but it seems crazy having to walk back into the lodge and go through the lounge area in wet swimwear. there's not alot that can be done to change it in this lodge because of the way it is laid out. still had a great break there though.
Denise from Nottingham (18 December 2017)

Gorgeous lodges with beautiful surroundings. Less than a ten minute drive into glossop. We went the weekend before christmas and they even put a christmas tree up. Nicely decorated and the lodge itself is well equipped. Hot tub was fab too. Me and my partner both had full signal while there and wi-fi is good also. You have to go down a narrow lane to get there but we didn't have any problems. There were taxis and mini buses that got down without a problem. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are looking to come back again around march 2018. Excellent value for money and would 100% recommend
Katie from Sheffield (18 December 2017)

Location is perfect. just 30 mins out of manchester, easy to get to yet rural and secluded - surrounding woodlands were beautiful. we were greeted by a lady who showed us to the lodge, gave a brief overview of everything we needed to know, then we were left to it. We didn't hear a peep from anybody the whole weekend, it was private and relaxing. . the hot tub was perfect, yet could have been a little hotter (it was snowing though). the bed was slightly disappointing, the mattress was so hard and the pillows and bedding felt quite itchy and cheap which isn't what you expect from a deluxe lodge - unfortunately I didn't get a good nights sleep for the duration of my stay. . the lodge itself was beautifully presented at first glance - although it could do with a few paint touch-ups and light maintenance work e.g. Bath tub - gap in the tiles behind the tub, sounds light water was leaking out; exterior of shower wall needed painting - looked half finished; kitchen draws open by themselves and you're forever walking into them - that was quite annoying etc. we drew a bath on sunday morning but it took so long and the hot water had run out by the time we had filled it. It was little things like this that took the deluxe feel away. . there was also a small issue of cleanliness - the floors were quite dusty, I knocked a glass of water over so moved the sofa slightly to clean up and it was very grimy under there, the rugs were a little crumby and very dusty underneath, the cupboards were not cleaned out properly either as it was full of the last visitor's recycling (under the cooker). I would probably say the lodges are given a quick clean after every visitor - they probably need a more thorough clean.. in comparison to other lodges I have stayed in this lodge was beautifully decorated and modern whilst keeping the cabin feel. the lodge is more impressive and bigger than the photos let on. . however to make this a "deluxe"lodge I would recommend a welcome gift e.g. Bottle of wine or tea/coffee making facilities, possibly a small selection of dvds, quality bedding and a thorough clean throughout would have improved my rating. . overall the weekend was fabulous and my criticism is only to improve for future guests. I would definitely stay here again.
Sarah from Manchester (11 December 2017)

Absolutely perfect, lovely place lovely helpful staff, been there before and we'll definitely be going again. As a place to relax unwind and be happy i'd reccomend it to anyone..
Dennis (08 December 2017)

Wonderful experience! the lodge was cosy and very impressive. And of course the hot tub was marvelous.
Jake from Clitheroe (08 December 2017)

Peaceful and clean location. Short drive from village or neighbouring towns.
Julia from Heanor (04 December 2017)

Beautiful lodge - everything you need for a relaxing break
Karen (04 December 2017)

Had a great long weekend, this was out 3td time and we will return as we like the location.
Kevin from Thelwall, Warrington (04 December 2017)

The lodge was lovely. The location is beautiful and the hot tub made the stay even better. Great value for money. Would definitely go back.
Emma (01 December 2017)

Lovely lodge, clean and spacious. One of the tv's had netflix which was a nice surprise, and the hot tub was glorious. The road in to charlesworth lodges was a single dirt track for a while before you reach the gates. Not an issue at all, the place was lovely. We saw the staff very little but the ladies we met were helpful.
Bethany (01 December 2017)

Lovely time - very relaxing.
Julia from Nottingham (27 November 2017)

The cottage is stunning and very well looked after , only one thing which sounds picky but would make the hot tub use a little better if it had a roof above to shelter from the elements
Sharon from Doncaster (24 November 2017)

Beautiful lodge
Paula from Wales (24 November 2017)

We had a very relaxing stay at charlesworth lodges and would definitely come back
Confirmed Holidaymaker (20 November 2017)

This is my 3rd stay at same location - and I would stay again. The cottage is beautiful and although you have neighbors you wouldn’t notice. Perfect for romantic getaways. I prefe the cottage to the lodges. You are not hassled by staff but they are contactable should you need them. . . location is great for walking and there is a friendly little village pub that serves food in walking distance. . . not far from manchester either should you want to go shopping.
Paula from Cambs (20 November 2017)

Relaxing, comfortable, peaceful.
Steven from Durham (17 November 2017)

We had a fantastic 4 nights away. Staff were amazing, lodge was perfect and in an amazing location!
Jenni from Aylesbury (17 November 2017)

Very cosy and comfortable, located in a lovely quiet area surrounded with lovely little pubs and shops. Would definitely come back in the future :)
Thomas from Birmingham (13 November 2017)

Arrived to a lovely warm welcome, we had everything explained to us. The lodge and hot tub did take a while to warm up but was lovely after a couple of hours. The only minor complaint is that the bed was uncomfortable we both had back ache. But after we flipped the mattress is was fine for the rest of the week.
Rachel from Nottingham (13 November 2017)

Our arrival was later than planned due to family illness. the welcome was most helpful after dark. the lodge was absolutely gorgeous and the hot tub was superb.
Jayne from Stoke On Trent (10 November 2017)

We had an amazing time. The lodge was perfect it had everything we needed and the hot tub topped it off. We had a lovely relaxing break and here is lots to do close by. We can’t wait to return again.
Lisa (03 November 2017)

Amazzzinnnng, proper get away for couples and family’s, a never quite resort and it’s like going from home to home!
Shannon (03 November 2017)

Amazing cottage, amazing location! the cottage was so romantic!
Katie (03 November 2017)

Amazing! so peaceful and quiet!
Jonathan from Manchester (30 October 2017)

We had a wonderful weekend, staff were very helpful and friendly. The surroundings were beautiful. Only small thing the hot tub didn’t fully reach temp on night one but only a small issue!
Sharon (30 October 2017)

We stayed in oak cottage which is very close to the log cabins. Received a warm and friendly welcome upon arrival. The cottage was beautiful, fitted out to a high spec and very spacious. Hot tub was large and a good temperature at all time (have seen issues in other places with the temperature). 10 minute stroll to the local village which had a couple of small shops and a pub. Would definitely return.
Chris from Sunderland (27 October 2017)

We had a lovely time with our children and friends, would definitely return at a later date
Rachel (27 October 2017)

4pm is a bit late to be let in to your cabin and 10am is a bit early to have to leave
Angeline (20 October 2017)

The old barn at charlesworth was stunning! from the outstanding scenery too the welcoming homely and luxurious details, equipment and style of the barn itself. We would highly recommend this accomadation. Very peaceful surroundings. The hot tub was wonderful. . very clean and of high standard. The owners were lovely and made us feel very welcome. We are definitely going back!
Carol from Long Eaton, Nottinghamshire (20 October 2017)

We stayed in woodland 3 which was lovely and more than big enough, especially for the two of us! it had almost everything you need, although a few baking trays would be beneficial. Also, coffee would have been nice (tea bags were provided but we don't drink tea). hot tub was perfect although views weren't as good as expected, my boyfriend loved the planes flying over though. Location was amazing, if you like walking you can go for miles with beautiful scenery. Co-op just down the road and tesco a short drive away. 2 pubs within walking distance. Staff were very welcoming and helpful with the small problem we had which was resolved quickly. . . would definitely recommend and stay again! thank you.
Holly from Durham (13 October 2017)

Such a lovely place home from home warm and cosy, hot tub was awesome . . would definitely recommend
Emma from Herne Bay (13 October 2017)

Brilliant location if you want to get away and enjoy some peace.
Kathryn from Lincolnshire (13 October 2017)

Quiet and small park, we stayed in woodlands 2 - hot tub is not completely private and can be over overlooked by other lodges, but it didn't bother us. Lovely lodge, everything you needed was there! would stay again!
Julia from Cumbria (09 October 2017)

We had an amazing time, the cottage and surrounding were beautiful. The only issue we had is the drive into the cottage off the main road was really tight and is not really suitable for big cars.
Anchal (09 October 2017)

The only thing I would say it could of been cleaned better there was thick dust everywhere and the bedding was ripped and put on inside out.
Jessica from Grimsby (06 October 2017)

Lovely lodge with beautiful surroundings. cooker fine but hob is dire and needs renewing. no indication when hot or warm on hob itself or leaflet in drawer. apart from that our stay was great and we loved our stay there ànd would return again. Cannot fault anything else and would return again.
Dee from Wells (06 October 2017)

Very nice location. The lodge was perfect. Just a couple of minor issues on our stay but these were sorted very quickly so ten out of ten for customer service !! very quiet at night on our stay, the only noise was a nearby owl ! would certainly recommend .
Colin from Northampton (06 October 2017)

Absolutely beautiful. Perfect romantic break away. Highly recommend!
Patricia from Chester (06 October 2017)

We were fairly disappointed with our holiday here. There were several points we found were not pleasant about our stay, these being: . . •not much privacy, and cameras right above hot tub, not to mention a window looking down and a gate from propert next door joined onto our garden. . •when we arrived there was dirty cleaning cloths left all on the table . . •when we arrived the toilet seat was broken and on the floor!!. . •the ‘spa bath’ was not working at all, which wasn’t mentioned. . . •there was a range rover parked smack bang in front of our kitchen window, people out there having discussions in front of the window regularly and we felt we had no privacy. There was also other cars in the driveway preventing us getting in and out without having to drive into the grass. . •the man who came to maintain the hot tub came up, didn’t explain what he was doing or say hello, threw his tools around and then left, we didnt like this. . . •mould and damp on the front room walls, cleverly covered by a wardrobe! not that clever as it didn’t take us long to see it, we have photos taken if need to see. . . •no rubber matting outside the hot tub, the steps and floor was very slippery as there were wet leaves everywhere, I slipped twice luckily I wasn’t injured . . •on arrival, a dog wandered in and out, we had no who idea who’s it was, but wasn’t comfortable with this. . . all in all, it was a lovely cottage and we had some good points to make, we enjoyed the hot tub, the kitchen was lovely, comfy bed and very quiet just a shame it wasn’t private at all, and they didn’t seem to be mindful at all that people were paying to stay there for a holiday, and quite a lot of money too.
Sophie from Tetbury (02 October 2017)

Lovely stay. Hand towels and more kitchen equipment would have been useful. Info on local walks would have been useful. Thanks
Michelle (02 October 2017)

The only downside is the hot tub lid blocks all views of the countryside leaving you just a fence to look at. Please swap the lid to open in the opposite direction!
Rachel (29 September 2017)

Lovely, well equipped lodge in a beautiful setting.
Tina from Crewe (29 September 2017)

Had a great time, all ready book for next year
David (29 September 2017)

Lovely lodges restful place everything you need ,could do a little be more tlc on woodwork other wise great place .
Geoffrey from Middleton In Teesdale,Bdcastle Codurham Dl120te (29 September 2017)

We had a fabulous weekend at the lodge with my parents. with liverpool and manchester within driving distance we certainly made the most of our time; and the spa pool when we got back!
Joanne from Kettering (25 September 2017)

Very good lodge ,hot tub etc. Only small improvements, I was unable to read dial on oven as worn no instructions available, this made cooking guess work.also a local walking map would have been helpful, otherwise we had a lovely short break.
Susan (25 September 2017)

Really nice and clean cottage with everything you need and hot tub was great .the hot tub would be better with a bit of a enclosure for privacy and when it rains apart from that a very nice break and me and my partner would recommend
Stephen from Preston (25 September 2017)

Insufficient privacy and difficult to get to veru narrow road.
Anne (22 September 2017)

My wife and I both had a wonderful break, lovely setting and the lodge was fantastic ,and all the staff we met couldn't be more helpful.
Jim from Kettering (15 September 2017)

The lodge was well furnished, clean, cosy and the site was very quiet. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Perfect for a short getaway. We will return.
Ann from Barton Upon Humber (15 September 2017)

Had the most relaxing few days break.
Jackie from Norwich (15 September 2017)

Beautiful lodge, beautiful location, the best lodge holiday we’ve been on. Will 100% be coming back! thank you x
Rochene (15 September 2017)

Beautiful cabin and surroundings. Would definitely return again. Only suggestion is that the bed could be more comfortable.
Tracy from Norwich (08 September 2017)

We had such an amazing time. The lodge is gorgeous and the hot tub is lovely. There is plenty to do in the surrounding areas e.g. Otter farm, manor park, charlesworth house etc. We would definitely come back in the future.
Amy (08 September 2017)

Cottage is lovely with great views, lovely relaxing break
Elizabeth (04 September 2017)

We had a great week here, 2 adults and 2 children. Stayed in coombes view 1. Lovely lodge, everything we needed and clean. The hot tub was tucked round the corner, not near the deck which wasn't ideal with children as always had to be round there with them. Nice location, although most things at least half an hour away in car. A great week for all and we thought good value in school holidays.
Rachel from Norwich (01 September 2017)

Lovely lodge in a great location. Peace and quiet and only a short drive to all the peak district has to offer. . kids loved the hot tub and the facilities in the lodge were exceptional.
Alan from Great Yarmouth (25 August 2017)

An extremely relaxing week, the only issue was it went too quickly! the hot tub was the main reason we booked the lodge and it didn't disappoint - we used it at least 2/3 times a day. the lodge itself was extremely spacious and well laid out, very clean on arrival with the hot tub cleaned and refilled. . . the staff that greeted us were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. . will definitely be back next year.. or sooner!
Darren from Shropshire (25 August 2017)

Lovely quiet site, well kept and great lodge. Really enjoyed the hot tub. Road up to it wasn't the best but wouldn't put me off going again
Pauline from Stourbridge (18 August 2017)

Very good accommodation in a tranquil setting. only issue is the dirt track leading to the site, caused damage to the underneath of my car. even though it highlights in your literature with reference to this, it would be useful if photographs and dimensions of the dirt track be displayed to prevent vehicles not worthy of off road capability. due to this track we used our car only for arriving and departing. we even filled the pot holes in ourselves to prevent damage to other vehicles.
Andy from Hessle (14 August 2017)

We had a last minute break and are so glad we did. This place is amazing and the cottage was perfect. We are definitely coming back, the sooner the better!
Gary from Sittingbourne (14 August 2017)

We had a lovley long weekend with two children. Beautiful lodges, great location very quiet. Great for getting around the peak district. Will be staying again.
Victoria from Nottingham (07 August 2017)

Lodge finished to a high standard but the lodge was very dusty and not very clean and the shower was very blocked and the tap in the sink was very loose we did ask for the shower to be fixed but no one came and fixed it and the owners on two accassions came to look at the hot tub and didn't even knock to see if they could just walked around and helped them selfs and we was in at the time so wasn't best pleased about that
James from Braintree (07 August 2017)

Charlesworth lodges was a great get away. Beautiful location, ideal for a relaxing get away. Cottage was a very high standard and had everything we needed. We will definatly be going back!
Jamie from Bolton Upon Dearne (07 August 2017)

We had an excellent stay at charlesworth lodges..staff were helpful and very friendly. The lodge was lovely, spacious and clean to a high standard and the hot tub was an excellent way to relax after a busy day with kids ..would defiantly return in the future.
Wendy from Sauchie Clackmannanshire (07 August 2017)

Overall rating would have been 10 if a shaving mirror, a toilet roll holder and table placemats had been provided. all other facilities were excellent! main problem with the surroundings was the 350 yard single lane dirt track to access the site! only met one member of staff for 5 minutes when booking in!
Anthony from Glenrothes (04 August 2017)

We loved every minute of our break, however there was some work being done on the cottage next to us so there was a few people walking past. How ever fully equipped with everything you need.
Samantha from Brierley Hill West Midlands (31 July 2017)

These are just what you need from a relaxing break away. Nice peaceful surroundings where you can just turn off away from the rat race.
Lee from Peterborough (28 July 2017)

Absolutely fantastic lodge, best we have ever stayed in with everything that you need, definatley the wow factor and ideal for a romantic break, so peaceful and relaxing and great private hot tub, hidden gem would highly recommend, could not fault it.
Simon &Amp; Donna from Dy5 3Pb (24 July 2017)

We had stayed here in the amour lodge before.. probably a couple of years back maybe longer.. at this visit we noticed damp patched in the bath area.. I was not impressed on how the repairs had been done - all that has been done is a new skirting has been slapped on the face of the existing skirting. You now have unsightly holes and gaps appearing in the partion walls.. there is also a smell of damp , which affected my wife asthsma... you also now have more damp patches forming on the walls... you really need to strip this area back and repair properly before it gets worse.. we also found gaps behind some of the electric sockets !!! the decking area and hot tub need a thorough clean or jet wash as they were grubby with cobwebs.. in general the lodge was presented quite well but does need a good clean... we have stayed at many of your lodges in the past and been more than happy .. but this lodge is letting you down
Lee from Sittimngbourne Kent (21 July 2017)

Good location out of the way, but not too far for a short walk to the village. The lodge was very clean and tidy. The hot tub was ready for when we arrived. The only recommendation we would make is to have a roof over the hot tub, as the weather wasn't great at times and this would have just been a nice touch
Steven from Ilkeston (17 July 2017)

Lovely setting beautiful lodge and hot tub located in a lovely village
Karen from Bradford (17 July 2017)

Superb lodge in a superb location and staff that were very helpful. Other than a small issue of not having enough hot water it was the perfect break.
Paul (10 July 2017)

Only petty issue was a dog kept wandering into our lodge where we had kids, and the hot tub had too many flies. However we were near woods! . overall the lodge was lovely, quiet and peaceful. Nice section of grass and decking for the kids to sit and play. Hot tub was fab and not over looked at all. All amenities in lodge were good and very clean. . location was excellent and away from noise.
Yvonne from Argyll And Bute (07 July 2017)

Absolutely loved everything about the place. We have already booked to go back. Hopes the hottub would have been alittle more private has we were in the middle lodge but soon realised it didnt matter. Loved it.
Kayleigh from Nottingham (07 July 2017)

Perfect we had a lovely peaceful few days and even had the sunshine , the lodge was in a lovely elevated position supreme clean with comfy bed , hot tub great even had 2 sheep come around the lodge while we sat relaxing , village is tiny but has a pub , butchers and greengrocers and is only 10 min walk def stay here again
Janice from Newcastle Under Lyme (03 July 2017)

We stayed here for 4 lovely nights the lodge is gorgeous very clean an gorgeous inside , the hot tub was so relaxing can't wait to go back worth every penny.
Deborah from Cheshire (30 June 2017)

Lovely place to chill out
Paul (26 June 2017)

Lovely lodge with beautiful scenery. Perfect for relaxation.
Debbie from Doncaster (26 June 2017)

Pros. Lovely cabin, best on the site for privacy I think. Well presented and clean. Great area for walking and cycling. Cons. No shaving mirror, ironing board or parasol for the table outside. Overall. Enjoyed our stay, would book again
Keith from Boston (23 June 2017)

Fantastic place so lovely very clean and in such a beautiful location.
Jane from Leek (19 June 2017)

Excellent, well equipped lodge. Peaceful surroundings. Loved the hot tub, wish we could have stayed for longer
Rachael from Cornwall (16 June 2017)

Lovely location and quality of lodges.
Rebecca from Macclesfield (12 June 2017)

Fantastic lodge, peaceful and secluded. Very very minor issues, on suite toilet not working, no sign of a ipod docking station and a pot holed riddled gravel/dirt track to site. However would stay there again.
Ian from Middlesbrough (12 June 2017)

Never saw any staff if we needed something. We had to call but never had any signal. The wifi didn't reach the lodge we were staying in. Lodge was lovely and peaceful. Perfect for some time away.
Pete from Exeter (09 June 2017)

Great place to stay 9/10 rating the only problem was the farm track down to the lodges.
Robert from Chester-Le-Street (09 June 2017)

Good sized lodge in a very nice location. Everything was clean and had pretty much everything we needed. . . hot tub was a good one - gets nice and hot and a good size. . . tv reception was poor and the tv itself, although a decent size, was in need of replacement - remote was annoying and screen had a big line down it. . . the wifi signal was fine but it must have been connected to an old 56k modem as the speed was quite ridiculously slow! . . the master bed looked promising but the mattress was awful - springs had gone and it was very noisy.
Nicholas (09 June 2017)

Lovely peaceful location with fantastic view.
Carol from York (09 June 2017)

Beautiful place!
Kevin from Castleford (05 June 2017)

We had a lovely mid week break here. The lodge was perfect, the site peaceful and beautifully kept. We used the hot tub every evening. We'd come back without a second thought.
Sarah from Northampton (02 June 2017)

Fantastic lodge, really well furnished. . . stunning location, lovely and peaceful. . . the only minor negative is the free wi-fi non-existant. Whilst this wasn't a problem for us, it should t be advertised if it doesn't work. . all in all, great lodges in a lovely location. Would definitely recommend.
Antonio from Halesowen, West Mids (02 June 2017)

Very enjoyable and relaxing holiday. clean and very nice accommodation with all you could ask for. the only downside was the internet connection was not that good.
Christopher from Durham (29 May 2017)

This only issue was heating wouldn't turn off and the fact the thermostat was changed (to fix the heating) whilst we were out with out our knowledge. Overall an amazingly perfect stay!!!!!
Megan from Leamington Spa (29 May 2017)

Enjoyable weekend, lodge and hot tub excellent, and local area stunning!
Julie-Ann from Barnsley (22 May 2017)

Really lovely lodge in beautiful location. . shame view from hot tub was restricted by the cover, would have been nice to have a view of the woods. Will definitely stay again. Very peaceful and relaxing break.
Charlotte from Newport Pagnell (22 May 2017)

Beautiful location, felt remote but not too far from anywhere. The lodge itself was lovely, clean and well decorated.
Rebecca (19 May 2017)

We enjoyed a fantastic 4 night break. Everything was provided for and the hot tub was amazing. We didn't want to go home. We will definitely return.
Paula from Staffordshire (19 May 2017)

Lodge was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Surroundings were very quiet and relaxing. The hot tub was great and it was only a short drive into glossop. Had a very enjoyable week.
Matthew from Lowestoft (19 May 2017)

Charlesworth lodge a perfect location; the surroundings are so peaceful, tranquil, and the air is filled with bird song, just perfect.
Stephen from Peterborough (15 May 2017)

Tough it was a lovely place we did found that our lodge was quite dusty and there was no toiletries at all , no cleaning materials and very little kitchen aquipment
Janet And Stuart from Ng236qg (12 May 2017)

A lovely lodge in a relaxing area . feel totally recharged.
Sandra from Conwy (12 May 2017)

The lodges are in beautiful surroundings and so peaceful, the lodge itself was spotless with everything you could need ,the hot tub was brilliant, so relaxing we would definitely recommend and return in the future
Derek from Pilling Lancs (12 May 2017)

Absolutely perfect!
Laura from Nottinghamshire (08 May 2017)

A lovely lodge with great facilities in a scenic environment. Would highly recommend.
Andrew from Birmingham (05 May 2017)

The lodge itself was a bit tired and could do with a lift. The hot tub was not level every time we got in it the water would come out. there are signs asking you not to use glasses in the hot tub, but there were no plastic glasses for our use. Part of the drive to the lodge is in a very poor condition, could do damage to your vehicle drive carefully.
Natalie from West Sussex (05 May 2017)

Cottage was amazing . only wish that the hot tub was private. Next door garden gate opens out onto it
Ross from Derby (01 May 2017)

We have been coming to charlesworth lodges for the last 9 years at least once if not twice a year. The lodges are in the most tranquil setting reached by a lane down from the village of charlesworth. . we always stay in coombs view no 1 as we love the view enjoyed by the lodge being slightly higher than the other lodges. We have got to know the owners mark and emma and they cannot do enough for you along with their team . there are lovely walks from the lodge so the car does not have to be used. We have got to know a lot of the pubs tea rooms and even villagers over the years. . we strongly recommend these lodges and we hope to return later this year after already spending a week in april
Barry from Stamford (01 May 2017)

Hreat location with cute english pubs within 15minutes walking distance (steep hills but vreat farm/countryside views with animals to meet along the way. Hot tub private and always clean. Bed in main room needed new mattress as coyld hear springs it was that old.. we ended up sleeping in singlw beds on our anniversary trip. Lounge and kitchen area cosy. Complete with big tv. Area secluded and peaceful.. great!
Janette from Sheffield (01 May 2017)

Beautiful peaceful location worth every penny. Can not wait to return.
Jason from Rotherham (28 April 2017)

Our first break as a couple, had a lovely week away! lodge was gorgeous. Hot tub was very private & lovely views. We will be rebooking
Stacey from Cannock (28 April 2017)

The park is really lovely, surrounded by the country side, it's a really relaxing place to stay. The only niggle is actually how you get to the park. It's of course no one's fault but the first patch of road getting to the park can only fit one car and the road condition is terrible. If you're not one for taking your car 'off-road' you can always park your car before you get onto the bad road, but it's a good 5min walk to the park and just out of the way. But apart from that, it's lovely. . the park is a 10min walk from some local pubs and shops and is less than 15min drive to the nearest villages which have some lovely places to eat and look around. The roads around charlesworth & surrounding area are very narrow and windy, but luckily they're not hugely busy.
Aaron (24 April 2017)

**woodland lodge**. . luxurious private lodge with hot tub in a quiet idyllic setting. . . the lodge is very well designed and it does have a very nice home feel to it. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the basic essentials. We found the mattress in the master bedroom very hard and uncomfortable. . . the surrounding area is breathtaking and their are many walk trails and farm animals which is ideal for the little ones. . glossop town centre is around 2 miles which was useful. . the hot tub was prefect and I think on those rainy days it would be ideal to have a canopy.
Rosie from Leicester (17 April 2017)

Beautiful setting. Lodge is fully equipped and beautifully decorated. No wifi which my partner grumbled about but I don't think it's necessary! the lodges and nicely spaced out so you don't feel ontop of each other. We will definetly be returning! hot tub was perfect too!
Bethany from Hull (17 April 2017)

Great time at the lodge. Greeted on arrival, lodge was very clean. Jacuzzi was lovely and water was checked each morning. The whole site was immaculate and very well maintained.5 stars.
Dawn from Ellesmere Port (17 April 2017)

Amazing place to go so beautiful
Nathan (07 April 2017)

Access to lodges via track not good. Owners very pleasant and welcoming.
Rodney from Basildon (07 April 2017)

Had a fabulous break, little bit of luxury in lovely surroundings, felt at home straight away. Photos on website a little deceiving as lodges closer to one another than they look, however this is not a big issue, our hot tub lovely and private, would definitely return. We did the walk out of the book around coombes edge which suited us and visited the local pubs at the end which are ok. Little gem.
