So peaceful & relaxing. The surrounding area was beautiful & the hot tub at the lodge was an added bonus. Very well equipped lodge & a lovely sized garden for our son to play in. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing break & will definately book again.

These lodges are absolutely perfect! they are stocked with all the things you will need for a comfortable stay. Their position is fantastic and so tranquil. Andrew (the owner) is so helpful and friendly. Fantastic stay. There is a secure garden area surrounding the lodges which is perfect for taking your pampered pooch- thank you!
Emma from Chester (27 July 2018)

We had an amazing week. We were met by the owner when we arrived who was really friendly and gave us the tour. The location is so peaceful. There's nothing else close by at all. We really enjoyed watching the sunset from the hot tub every night. Didn't want to leave, can't wait to go back!
Richard (20 July 2018)

Excellent weekend away with 5 other girls! made to feel welcome and the lodge is perfect! not to mention the hot tub. We had a tesco delivery so was no need to take food with us which was very helpful. Definitely recommend

Fabulous lodge, lovely warm welcoming hosts. We would definitely book to come here again and I would recommend this lodge to our friends and family.
Lynsey from Ulceby (01 June 2018)

We were extremely lucky with the weather we had whilst staying here which made the location and experience so much better. Castle pren lodges is in a beautiful location and the lodge is gorgous! the hot tub was warm and ready to use upon our arrival! we were sad to leave, after having such a lovely weekend away. Would happily return to this location again!

Glyn (19 March 2018)

Lovely place to stay very quiet and the owner was very helpful
Chris from Wolverhampton (26 February 2018)

Absolutely loved this place, loved the remoteness - the piece and quiet. The children loved the freedom to run and play outside without the worry of vehicles. . the lodge itself was fantastic, clean and well equipped.
Rachel from Liverpool (23 February 2018)

Other than mobile phone coverage (but if you want to stay out the way, why would you need it) there is absolutely nothing bad to say about the lodge. Private, lovely views, and plenty of space to live in. The lodge is superbly maintained, and the lack of light-pollution makes the after dark visits to the hot dumb exceptional if the night is clear.. . if you want a private time away, just as a couple or family, I can’t see why anyone wouldn’t want to go!!
Ryan from Leadenham (16 February 2018)

We had a great time. Very relaxing, can’t wait to go back. . . will book again.

Second stay at sais lodge, excellent from start to finish. Everything you could need is there, the hot tub is always hot and ready, and the owner brought us extra fire wood for the freezing cold weekend.

Relaxing remote location with friendly owners, lovely accomodation and great facilities. Some beautiful places to visit nearby and town not far by car but could happily have stayed in at castle pren for the whole break. Would definitely stay again.

Louise from Scarborough (09 October 2017)

Great lodge! very clean, modern and spacious. Hot tub & outdoor space was brilliant
Sian (02 October 2017)

One of the best lodges we have stayed in. Very deceiving as from the picture loos like two lodges close together, but actually just one lodge, that is very spacious. Perfect for getting away from everything and having peace and quiet! which is just what we did and cannot wait to return! thank you.
Lynne (15 September 2017)

The lodge is beautiful, the surroundings are beautiful. Andrew was really helpful and the hot tub was the best! the enclosed garden was great for our toddler and she loved having sheep and cows in the garden! it's a fair drive to anywhere but that's what makes the surroundings so beautiful. Thanks for a great stay, we'd love to come back!
Lindsay from Sheffield (11 September 2017)

I've been here previously and it's ideal as study retreat. clean, comfortable, free of distractions; perfect to study, read, and write. I had a relaxing and productive time.

Lovely ! hot tub fantastic! just need a few things doing
Ron from Derbyshire (28 August 2017)

Excellent holiday , lovely owners. I think it would be better value for money if you were allowed in early rather than late afternoon on arrival.
Kylie from Shobdon Leominster (25 August 2017)

Had a fantastic few days away in wales and stayed in the castle oren lodges . we hired out both lodges and was overwhelmed how beautiful and spacious they were . we had three dogs and loads off room in them . nice and clean warm and bonus at night of amazing hot tub .

Karen from Notts (14 July 2017)

Loved it
Laura from Portsmouth (07 July 2017)

We have been here many times since they opened, staying in both lodges and we have always loved it, hence why we keep returning. . . the lodges are fab have everything you need even salt and pepper!! lol. . location is amazing even if we have explored every town/village in a 30 mile radius. . you must try the local pub the curries are amazing and it is such a lovely atmosphere and so friendly. . . the only thing I would definitely recommend is a blind on the front door as there is such a big window and its quite unnerving at night an not very private in the day if you want walk around in your night clothes. . but I can not recommend this place enough
Samantha from Birmingham (30 June 2017)

Excellent break with fantastic scenery and would definitely stay there again
Mark from Pontypridd (26 June 2017)

Samantha from Chesterfield (17 April 2017)

Good for a relaxing holiday. Beautiful views. Not much around - nearest shop approx 6 miles away . recommend to visit elan valley . hot tub was good - it is cleaned/checked daily at 830 but it doesn't invade your privacy or impact you at all
Jennifer (14 April 2017)

Absolutely perfect for a tranquil, relaxing, get away from it all holiday!
Helen from Chester (27 March 2017)

Quiet but very good
David (24 March 2017)

This place is beautiful, the lodge is so full of light with wonderful panoramic views right the way around it, it was really clean and beautifully decorated. The hot tub was really nice, it was great to turn off all the lights and have some bubbly in the bubbles with the starry night sky above me. It was lambing season when I went there and it was so nice to see the lambs in the field and they came up to the lodge bleating and bouncing with joy it was lovely. I took my dogs and they loved the space and the countryside, the walks are beautiful and we visited elan valley and devils bridge which is well worth a visit. The only downfall is that there was no wifi but if you want a break from technology its perfect!
Jemma from Ystrad Mynach (17 March 2017)

Fantastic place really enjoyed it ! this was our second time. . the only improvements would be a cover over the hot tub as it's rains a lot in wales haha. And the possibility of wifi ! . ice tray in frezzer !
Kylie from Rhymney (10 March 2017)

It was a lovely stay in the middle of nowhere. Certainly the best views I have had from a lodge. Will certainly be returning.
Thomas from Rugby (03 March 2017)

Stunning lodge surrounded by stunning scenery.
Esther from Bolton (03 March 2017)

Already booked again for later in the year..
John from Anglesey (10 February 2017)

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at castle pren lodges. We were welcomed by the owner who gave us a lot of information about surrounding areas and local attractions. Lovely walks straight from your front door, with shops only a short car journey away. Can't wait to go back next year. Would highly recommend.
Stevie-Anne from Pontyclun (23 January 2017)

Spacious lodges with all amenities. Suitable for all ages with lots to do and see nearby. Staff always friendly and helpful with extra logs for the burner at no cost.
Michael from Lytham (13 January 2017)

Lovely place definitely book this again
Michael from Swansea (09 January 2017)

Cannot fault this place one bit. We stayed in the aran lodge with our 3 children. Location is amazing, literally in the middle of nowhere. Lodge itself was big, clean and had all the facilities we needed. Hot tub was an amazing extra. The owner was very helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend this place.
Claire from Burton On Trent (30 December 2016)

Amazing lodge, excellent facilities. Perfect for a family of 5. Plenty to do in the area, very beautiful scenery - everything we wanted for a relaxing long weekend break.
Emily from Gloucestershire (26 September 2016)

Beatiful place , lovely and clean , brilliant for a relaxing holiday with the children. . hot tub was lovely. Would stay there again !
Deanne (23 September 2016)

Had a fantastic time. Owners were lovely. Beautiful place.
Michelle (16 September 2016)

A beautiful lodge in beautiful surroundings. Peaceful, in keeping with the landscape and as large as the lodge was, it was very cosy. The hot tub is simply bliss, all the space for 6 adults, with fancy lights and a fountain too! beautiful watching the stars with a clear view from the warmth water! lodge was easy to find considering the long drive down the windy lanes. Owners were really helpful and easy to get hold of when we needed. Beds were comfy with very soft pillows and quilts. The only thing to mention is that the hot tap in the kitchen is extremely hot and there should be a warning sign, or it should be turned down.
Georgia (12 September 2016)

One of the best holidays I had in the uk. Farmer andrew was a lovely helpful host. . the lodge is large spacious and very well equipped. Fantastic scenery, wonderful hot tub and a welcoming log burner in the evenings. Only my second visit to wales we planned a restful week which the lodge is perfect location. We could not resist the fantastic views of the dams at elan valley, heritage railway, food festival, and bit adventure at devils bridge all nearby. We look forward to a return visit
Beverley from Wallingford (09 September 2016)

Nice modern lodge, clean, great views, helpful staff, excellent hot tub. Would come and stay again.
Shuaib (08 August 2016)

Fantastic lodge best we've stayed in. Great owners very helpful. Lovely settings. Great family holiday would defiantly stay again
Kimberley (05 August 2016)

Had a great stay at castle pren, it was a perfect lodge, everything you could possibly want, spotlessly clean, the hot tub was great especially at night time watching the stars. The surrounding area is very scenic and we found lots to do. Owners were very helpful, nothing was to much trouble, we would definately recommend this lodge and hopefully return at a later date.
Ivan from Welling (01 August 2016)

What a brilliant holiday, a get away from it all. :-). we all loved the hot tub, especially the kids, even in it at 7am on the last day!. . the accommodation was clean and had everything we needed. The welsh cakes and tea/coffee on arrival were welcomed. Lots of towels provided, though we had taken our own. We were surprised at finding a dishwasher and washer in the lodge - but were a great help each evening, so we could all relax. We were also surprised on how comfortable the temperature stayed in the lodge, despite the weather, but we did use the log burner one night, for affect. . there was a wii to occupy the kids in the evening, but they were more occupied by the farm dogs and played with them. . tesco is around 20 mins away and has a petrol station. There is a nisa convenience store 10 mins away, again at a garage. However we have a tesco delivery account and had all our food delivered at 5pm on the first night, and with a decent size fridge and freezer, we could store for the whole holiday. . we recommend visiting gigris farm at rhaydor, and the feeding of the red kites. We saw over 300 come down for food. . andrew and jenni were excellent hosts, and the farm dogs tyson, bob and charles also made the holiday. We would really recommend this holiday.
Vicki from Lancaster (29 July 2016)

Fantastic holiday - the location was perfect with amazing views and great facilities - would definately return
Michael from Telford (24 June 2016)

Great to get away from everything. Remote location which means you can just relax.
Matthew from Kidderminster (10 June 2016)

Great place! only thing needed is wifi and perhaps a cover over the hottub, we were so lucky to have a great weekend weather wise but if it had been raining it would have spoilt it as no cover over hottub.
Mariam (30 May 2016)

What a absolutely wonderland place and amazing people that ran it, we had a brilliant time staying here. Have recommend staying here to alot of people, can't wait to book again.
Edward from Manchester (13 May 2016)

Leah from Connahs Quay (18 April 2016)

Fab accommodation, very welcoming. Absolutely nothing near-by so take everything you might need.
Shelley from Portishead (15 April 2016)

This was a most lovely cabin and outstanding scenery. Idyllic to be honest and the owners were great and helped us no end - let the children hold and feed the lambs it was perfect.

Dionne from Gloucester (04 March 2016)

Great lodge , the location is lovely, very calming and relaxing and without exception the hot tub which was the best we have ever had. Lovely to have a log fire on chilly nights which andrew supplied wood for. . nice touch that milk and cake was left for arrivals. Would recommend elan valley for walking or driving round lakes. . would of liked a few hooks on back of doors in bedroom and bathroom. . found that we could get a mobile signal if you put phone on window ledge opposite front door.
Nicholas from Nice Touch That Milk And Cake Was Left For Arrival (04 March 2016)

Lovely lodge an hot tub was big enough for 6! vlovely lodge an hot tub was big enough for 6! very cosy with the log fire, nobody about! bike ride in the local village we would recommend. Another fantastic stay at castle pren lodges. Looking forward to the next :)
Lauren from Swindon (15 February 2016)

This is the second time we have been to these lodges and yet again they are brilliant. Amazing setting even with the wind and rain. We were very glad of the log burner and regular delivery of logs. We just relaxed and chilled out. No signal for phone or I pads which is wonderful as you have to switch off and forget about the world.

Sarah from Bridgend (25 January 2016)

Excellent lodges. Lovely surroundings. Great hot tub. Very comfortable and clean. Relaxing. Only gripe is that it could do with a covered porch.
Nicholas (08 January 2016)

Shaun (13 November 2015)

Enjoyed a wonderful long weekend, remote location but lovely. lodge and facilities really good, there were 6 of us (maximum for this lodge) and would have liked a second toilet and possibly another seat in the lounge, but overall excellent and would recommend.
