Had a great time, location perfect and owner very helpful
Clare from Lowestoft (28 July 2018)

This is our third time at bryn caled cottages, we always stay at y beudy, this is a place from home, very comfortable, the views are amazing and who can forget the hot tub.. after spending the day out and about there is nothing better than coming in and relaxing in the hot tub. Sioned and gareth make you feel very welcome and are always on hand if you need anything. . bala main street is about 10 mins away in the car and has many wee shops with the essentials you might need.
Derek from Glasgow (14 July 2018)

Lovely in every way! horses, views & hot tub highlights
Andrea from Ribble Valley (26 June 2018)

Excellent location , cake was to die for, took a bit to get used to bedrooms being downstairs, facilities spot on , only prob sat nav tells you to turn into a church , when you should go past it next right and follow lane to end
Lynda from Winsford (22 June 2018)

Great cottage, very modern in the middle of nowhere so very peaceful
Donna from Lichfield (10 June 2018)

The perfect holiday in the perfect location. The hot tub was a tiny bit unpredictable but that's it. Otherwise I couldn't fault it. Loved the dogs!!!
Faye from Liversedge (05 June 2018)

We had a fantastic holiday. Cottage was clean and very spacious for 7. . . the owner was very helpful and very friendly. . would recommend to anyone.
Lorraine from Manchester (01 June 2018)

We had the most amazing time, owner and staff very friendly. We will defiantly be going again and can’t wait till that day
Alan from Wolverhampton (01 June 2018)

All I can say is amazing the lodge was fabulous, location breathtaking and the owner so lovely. She even baked us a cake. Thank you so much. Highly recommended.
Claire from Durham (16 April 2018)

Perfect everything that you need. booked again for next year and saved over £300 by booking early.
Carol from Runcorn (26 March 2018)

Me and my fiancé loved it
Tonisha from Newport (11 March 2018)

Had a great stay and the lodge was very spacious and had everything we needed. The only slight issue was that by the third day the hot tub had lost its heat and was really cold. But apart from that everything was great.
Abbie from Norfolk (14 February 2018)

Lovely cottage. I brought quite a few things from home eg washing up supplies and baking tray but all of that was provided. The hot tub was lovely and private. The scenes and views were stunning. The lemon cake the owners made us on arrival was lush. Bala town centre was only a 10 minute drive and it had local shops and a super market. There’s not much to do but if you want to chill out and relax it’s a lovely place to visit.
Katie from Lancashire (04 February 2018)

Cottage was super-cosy, clean and comfortable, perfect for a relaxing break. owners were very welcoming. Small downside was the lack of cupboard & worktop space in the kitchen, and lack of shelter over the outdoor hot tub, which limits its use. But overall a lovely break.
Sarah from Altrincham (29 January 2018)

We visited bryn caled over the xmas period, the cottage was decorated simply but beautifully. Hot tub was great but some jets didn't work. The location and scenery were amazing and the cottage layout was ideal for our requirements and was beautifully decorated and layed out. A couple of simple things would of made our stay more comfortable and helpful! a decent set of sharp knives in the kitchen, and the door from the bedrooms to kitchen scraped on the floor making an awful sound that echoed through the cottage. The introduction folder we found on the second day, it would of been helpful if this was left out on the side or if we had been greeted by host on arrival. Our overall stay was relaxing and enjoyable and we would definitely book this cottage for a family holiday again.
Lorraine from Kettering, Northants (27 December 2017)

Very nice secluded area. Peaceful and relaxing
Henry-Paul from Whalley (21 December 2017)

Great place , shame the hot tub was broke with no attemp to fix it during our 4 night stay.
Gary from Holyhead (17 November 2017)

After reading all the reviews about this lodge we were very disappointed upon arrival on friday the hot-tub was not ready and after several calls to the owner she eventually answered the phone and explained she would be over later- no show.this was a weekend for my sisters 50th birthday so we were expecting to have a lovely saturday morning in the warm hot-tub,but to our dismay the water was cold!!after several more texts and phoned calls we were told it would be ready that evening which it was about 10 at night.we go every year to lodges to relax and have fun this time it felt shot especially when we did not see the owners all weekend and the reviews raved about. There were lots of cobwebs in the livingroom but bedroom and toilets were very clean.
Alison from Wigan (06 November 2017)

Amazing holiday. Amazing place. Amazing people.
Lisa (06 November 2017)

The cottage itself is perfect! the only complaint is there isn’t much to do in the area . .
Victoria (02 November 2017)

We really enjoyed our stay! the whole package was amazing for family and friends! thankyou!
Lindsey from Snowdonia (02 November 2017)

Wonderful relaxing week in a beautiful location. This was our second visit and definitely won't be our last!
Sam from Wallasey, Wirral (08 September 2017)

Fabulous views, the cottage was lovely & clean. Owners were really helpful. Had a great short break there.
Alison from Leicester (22 August 2017)

We stayed here for 4 nights in august 2017. . . the cottage itself was lovely, living area upstairs, with a toilet and bedrooms downstairs with the main bathroom. . . everything was clean and the cottage had everything you could need, large fridge freezer, dishwasher, large dining table, plenty of cutlery, washing machine and it was great to have a washing line outside and an airer in the cupboard. . they had a little collection of games and dvds and all the information you could need. . if you do have younger children there was a stair gate at the top of the stairs. . . the beds were very comfy, plenty of wardrobe and drawer space. The double bedroom had patio doors which was lovely. There are tvs in both bedrooms. . my only tiny niggle was that the bathroom had attached doors from either bedroom and unfortunately the doors were quite noisy to open, close and lock. . location was everything, views of the aran mountain from the patio doors upstairs and beautiful scenery all around! there was a tv with sky etc but who needs a tv with a view like that in front of you?. my daughter enjoyed the tiny park and the views from the swing were unlike any other! . we booked this as we love things quiet and relaxed and that is what we got. . . the hot tub was lovely, plenty of room for our family of 4. It was a shame the weather wasn't perfect but it would be brilliant if there was a shelter over the hot tub so it could be enjoyed even in poor weather. The garden was enclosed and also had a bbq. . we met the owners briefly and they were very helpful and friendly. . . we did have the occasional animal visit in the garden, the friendly dogs and the odd chicken! my 10 year old daughter thought this was brilliant!. . there is plenty of parking. . . we managed to cram quite a lot in our 4 days. . bala lake is less than 10 minutes down the road, beautiful place and you also receive a discount for lake activities if you mention you are from the cottages. We had a go at canoeing which was fun. . bala town is a beautiful little place, plenty of shops, pubs etc. . . we did the climb up the aran mountain which is a lovely walk, very peaceful and beautiful! . . one evening we decided to go for a drive and followed the instructions in the welcome book, driving through snowdonia national park! our little outing turned into almost 6 hours of being amazed by the beautiful scenery! we stopped and admired and almost every turn! it was any photographers dream outing! . . we took a trip to fairbourne which was only about 30 minutes away, visited the beach and also took a little adventure to the blue lake which was an unused quarry! great adventure getting to it and very worth it once we had arrived! I have never seen anything quite like it! turquoise water, looks beautiful in the sunshine. . . on checkout day we had planned to go to snowdon. We had never visited before. It was a lovely drive through the beautiful landscape. . we didn't walk this time as we had booked the mountain railway for a treat. This was a good experience, but a bit pricey if you have a large family. . I have a love for wales and it grows stronger each time I visit! this cottage has added to my love! . . if only I could move in for good!
Hayley from Gloucester (18 August 2017)

Kirit from Leicester (07 August 2017)

The cottages location, interior, views & hot tub are amazing, the photos do not give this quaint little place the credit it truly deserves. We celebrated my 30th here and im definitely coming back again
Marc (24 July 2017)

A beautiful cottage in a lovely location. shame we had to pay for wi-fi though.
Elizabeth from Ilkley (01 May 2017)

Lovely cottage in a beautiful area we will be returning
Laura from Birmingham (22 April 2017)

We stayed here in march for our anniversary and had the best stay. The location was quiet and surrounded by beautiful scenery. The hot tub was a luxoroious added bonus and the accommodation was clean and beautifully decorated. We would definitely come back!
Kara from Surrey (31 March 2017)

Lovely place to stay, very relaxing and beautiful views
Aaron from Gloucestershire (05 February 2017)

Great cottage in a beautiful setting with amazing views. . nice and clean inside, hot tub was great and got got a lemon cake off the owners on arrival. . my only bad point was the dog poo in the garden. Quite off putting to say the least.
Ben from Hull (30 January 2017)

I ticked 'yes' I would stay again on the proviso that the hot tub is either replaced or repaired. This was the only thing that was under par for us, we couldn't get the lid off completely as there is no pull bar and it is wedged into the rails of the patio deck. As there were only two of us (ladies) we could only lift the cover off halfway, some of the jets didn't work and it was quite dirty and as soon as we got in we came out as we felt 'grubby' and our skin was slimey. As we were only there 2 days and only went in on the second day we didn't bother too much as we had other plans, but if we stayed for longer or with more guests then the tub really isn't big enough for the number of people who can stay at the cottage . the rest of the cottage, amenities were absolutely wonderful ! beautiful cottage, spotlessly clean and all the equipment you could possibly need for a lovely stay ! very well thought out. . the countryside and views were breathtaking and the sky at night with the stars was magical ! the lemon cake on arrival was yummy and we loved that we were offered fresh farm eggs to buy ( at a fab price) to take home with us ! we met the owner on arrival, who welcomed us and she was very friendly and welcoming. Wifi should really be free though - expensive at £10 for a 2 day stay - lucky for us we didn't want it as we wanted a break from the modern world ! the y eagles pub in the village was warm and welcoming too.
Samantha from Ossett (24 January 2017)

Such a lovely cottage and great for exploring. Sioned was really friendly and loved the lemon cake on arrival. Only slight negative would be the charge for the wifi which is a necessity as there is limited signal. Thank you for a lovely rested week
Tamana from Nuneaton (19 January 2017)

The cottage was beautiful and very well equipped. The owner came and introduced herself and bought us a lemon cake which was a really nice touch. Definitely a great place to relax and unwind and we are looking forward to booking our next stay!
Claire from Bournemouth (13 January 2017)

Beautiful barn conversion with plenty of space and a lovely setting. Sioned was an absolute delight. All in all a brilliant holiday

Customer 42 from Driffield (24 September 2016)

Amazing!
Lauren from Norwich (10 September 2016)

Amazing location, wonderfully hospitable owner
Jenny (04 September 2016)

The cottage was fabulous , unfortunately there were a few issues , lots of bulbs out, heating not working, tv in bedrooms not working and the hot tub needed cleaning after only 2 days which put it out of action for a day ( we were only their 4 days ) and there is no wifi. I spoke to the owner by telephone when we arrived and point some of the problems out to her. Unfortunately nothing was sorted ! we didnt let this spoil our holiday and the cottage was lovely just needed some tlc

Andrea from Preston (17 December 2015)

Fantastically presented cottage in lovely countryside very highly recommended the owners were lovely and came to visit to make sure we were ok and were so trusting with leaving money (just to leave it by the kettle) which was nice to see in this day and age, the weather was terrible when we visited so couldn't same the hot tub which was a real shame but I suppose you cant guarantee the weather in wales in december would definitely come back again
Michael from Dudley (06 December 2015)

Lovely setting whatever the weather. Was lively arriving to xmas tree lit and fresh mince pies.

Julie from Rhyl (09 November 2015)

Lovely!
Clare (19 October 2015)

Beautiful cottage and well located to give easy access to not only wonderful countryside but all major attractions. Our action packed holiday included visiting chester, conwy, and llandudno; taking the steam train to bala and the steam train from porthmaddock to caernarvon (first class); snowdon; electric mountain; and bodnant gardens: all within an easy drive range. Nice to relax in the hot tub in the evening after a day of activity. We have no hesitation in recommending the cottage and area to others.
Winston from Ashford, Kent (10 October 2015)

Had a lovely weekend at bryn caled - we stayed in tyddyn lliw which was a lovely cottage, everything was as we expected. Will definetely go back.
Tania from Denbigh (28 September 2015)

Stunning location. Could not be faulted. The mezzanine bedroom took a bit of getting used to, but worked well in the end. . . interesting electrics, in that there were light switches for things we never worked out what they were for. Fridge also ran way to cold and froze some of our food, but maybe some previous occupant and monkeyed with it. . hot tub was good, but a bit deeper than we've come across before. It also seems to be the 180 degrees round the wrong way, as the exit step is on the wrong side. . the owner was exceptionally helpful, suggesting some great walks and bike rides. Even booking a table at the local pub for us. . . definitely we will be back. Hopefully with the same weather!
James from West Sussex (12 September 2015)

Beautiful holiday, fantastic cottage, unbelievable views, highly recommended, loved the hot tub. Xx
Brett from Broadstairs (28 August 2015)

Excellent cottage, great location.
Al from Leyland (09 August 2015)

The cottage is set on a working farm in a lovely location and we received a warm welcome on the day we arrived. the facilities in the cottage are very good and we all enjoyed the use of the hot tub. However every day we were visited by a flock of chickens and an occasional dog who all did what chickens and dogs do and pooed in the garden, on the paths, on top of the picnic table and even on the steps leading to the hot tub. This made the journey to the hot tub precarious and we were unable to make full use of the other outdoor facilities. Credit where credit is due when we complained about the mess it was cleaned up quickly but this reprieve was short lived as the chickens returned and created more mess. I would recommend the cottage but be aware of the farm animals roaming freely.

The only reason I didn't mark as 10 is because the hot tub water wasn't changed on arrival. When we called a couple of days later to say the water was looking a bit dirty we were informed it is done weekly. . we loved our stay, the facilities and area were fantastic and we would love to return (but we would request the hot tub is cleaned). the owners were very welcoming and helpful and we really felt relaxed.

Friendly owner, polite children and a lovely setting; we have never felt so "at home" on a break! . a lot to offer from the surrounding areas, although a bit selective due to the time of year being out of season. . we found a few "hidden gems" of bala, from capel clay which we'd recommend for all ages, this is not just for children; fun, soothing and creative! to the eagles inn (if remembered correctly) with beautiful, very generously portioned home cooked food to white water rafting at 'the national white water centre' there really is something for everyone!
