Lovely location for a short break away. Unfortunately we woke up on sunday morning and had no power- no hot tub the staff were helpful and provided drinks and food as we couldn’t prepare any in our lodge without power. We spent the power outage in the pool and sauna so not too much of an inconvenience.
Debra from Lincoln (03 September 2018)

Just beautiful, perfect , lovely place , helpful. staff , hopefully be back next year !
Lorraine from Blackburn (03 September 2018)

Lovely relaxing family break. Beautiful area
Rita from Liverpool (03 September 2018)

Great place for young kids and adults. Nothing for teenagers. . irregular food service, breakfast only on sunday’s and no meals until wednesday? . good location. Rural, close to two good beaches and 15 minutes to millom.
Kim from Manchester (31 August 2018)

This place is a hidden gem. The lodge was lovely and very well equipped. Check in was easy and the staff were happy to share lots of info regarding the site and surrounding area. A nice touch was milk, tea, coffee and water for our arrival. The lodge was spotlessly clean with crisp white bedding and fluffy white towels. The hot tub was fantastic and the kids spent hours in it. My favourite was the sauna. The grounds on the site were very well maintained with beautiful gardens and all lodges had stunning floral hanging baskets on display. The pool was clean and warm and open for long hours. The restaurant food was top quality and reasonably priced. All the staff we had dealings with were pleasant and helpful. We bought drinks from the bar to take outside one sunny afternoon and the bar tender brought us out cushions which was a lovely gesture. We would recommend this place to everyone and will certainly return in the future.
Lorna (31 August 2018)

4th time I have stayed there. Ideal location due to my daughter horse riding at the heavy horse centre just up the road. For me a lovely place to relax, really do like it there .
Robert from Wrexham (31 August 2018)

Brilliant holiday. The location was excellent. The lodge was at a very high standard and very clean. . we feel that the swimming pool on site needed a bit of tlc.
Elizabeth from Bakewell (27 August 2018)

Massive lodge, beautiful location. We had a wonderful week on holiday with family and friends. Lodge was great, some rooms were really well decorated, others need a little tlc, but nothing to put us off. Kitchen is large but cooking was a challenge, the electric over and hob wasn’t the best, but we got by. didn’t have a lot of pans, especially given we had 7 staying in the lodge, we had just one big pan which wasn’t that big, but as we had family staying in a different lodge, we borrowed some of their equipment. hot tub was fantastic but for a lodge that size, it would be a good idea to have a larger or maybe even two hot tubs so all guests can enjoy together. overall though, it was great.
Clare from Wakefield (24 August 2018)

Good lodge, bit worn but fine. Quite a lot of webs, could do with a brush down. Not 5 star but adequate, would rate it 4 star. House and bar fine for a night cap. Staff friendly.
Kathryn from South Shields (24 August 2018)

Beautiful place and great restaurant, felt really welcome
Cassie from Rayleigh (20 August 2018)

Great location and fabulous/helpful staff. Food choices on site were good, although could benefit from more variety. Lodge was excellent, clean and well-equipped.
Wayne (20 August 2018)

Relaxing holiday away with my two daughters. Lodge and facilities were of a high standard.
Keith from Inverurie (17 August 2018)

This is a lovely quiet part of the lake district. The lodges are large and comfortable with everything you need in them from dishwasher to dvd player. It was lovely to sit in th hot tub looking over the mountains in the evening. The staff are lovely and I would recommend this location for anyone wanting to go to the lakes for a holiday.
Amy from Kenilworth (17 August 2018)

Really enjoyed our holiday here! lodges where great staff where really helpfully! pool is need of an update looks dated and wood rotting etc. Would definetly go back again
Natalie from Sunderland (13 August 2018)

I thought it was a amazing place. . only a couple of feedbacks were that the hot tub could of had a canopy over it as we had a wet day. . their was some bird mess outside our door. . and one of the bathrooms was leaking water when we showered. . which I hope will be rectified. . I would definetly recommend this lodge. . it was a perfect way to spend my 50tj birthday
Janet from Wolverhampton (13 August 2018)

Fantastic place, tranquil and beautiful. The accommodation was clean and very functional, the hot tub was great. . staff were excellent. The grounds are well kept. . excellent for dogs, the woods and fields were fantastic for walking.
Ben (13 August 2018)

Lovely lodges great staff we have been twice now and would definitely go again specially now we have a puppy
Sonia from Northumberland (10 August 2018)

Lovely location. Very good accommodation.
Sanjeewa from Hull (10 August 2018)

Ideal for children.
Neil from Appleton (06 August 2018)

It’s was a lovely weekend away the lodge inside was lovely it was just the outside that let it down. I just needed a good jet washing as the decking was very slippery due to the amount of algae and was a little smelly.
Lyndsey from Winsford (06 August 2018)

On-site facilities (pool and restaurants) were very good. Lodges are reasonably well spaced, so as not to be too much on top of each other. the location is really great, especially good having the beautiful woods so close at hand to walk the dog.
Elizabeth from Stansted Mountfitchet (03 August 2018)

I enjoyed the lodge and the hot tube!! lodges are beautiful and beds are very comfy!! loved the fur bed throws I really want one!!
Laura from Burntwood (03 August 2018)

Some parts need updating to make the stay more appealing - the pool area is disgusting- during our stay we visited it once but a good clean and and maybe lose the hosepipe that was filling it up ! . . the restaurant was shut which if we had of know we would of bought something with us. . our lodge was in need of a good clean both inside and out
Joanne from Cheshire (03 August 2018)

Nowhere to eat or get snacks on site. Had to cook 4 of the evenings. Nothing open in the neighbouring villages either. This put a dampner on it for mum. Beds awfully uncomfortable as was seating area. barely slept!. got stuck in the shower as rail came off runner. I won't be going back which is a shame as setting beautiful and staff pleasant.
Ceri (03 August 2018)

Stayed in july for a weekend with my husband and 7 year old son, lodge was immaculate and had everything we needed, the hot tub was fantastic and the food and staff in the restaurant were fantastic. Plenty to do in the local area if you drive for 20 mins or take a swim in the on site pool. We had a wonderful, relaxing stay, made friends with the peacocks, the rain didn’t even dampen our spirits, thank you all at brockwood!
Lisa from Newcastle (30 July 2018)

Staff very friendly and helpful. Accommodation excellent. Very clean. cleaners come in every day.
Jacqueline from Staffordshire (30 July 2018)

We had a great mid-week stay at brockwood hall lodges in july 2018. We were in ennerdale, which is a 3 bedroom windermere lodge. Kitchen was well stocked with equipment, including a nespresso coffee machine and a dishwasher. Nice touches. There were dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, a cloth, a welcome pack of tea/coffee, a pint of milk in fridge. There were plenty of towels too. The bedrooms were good - 2 had tvs, another nice touch. Master had ensuite. All very clean and modern. Hot tub was fab. There are lots of peacocks roaming, which is nice. However, they are quite noisy early in the morning so if you're a light sleeper like me be warned! . . the swimming pool was great. It is unmanned, meaning there had to be 2 adults there at all times. There is a small play park too. The main house itself is lovely. The bar is very nice and there is outdoor seating too. the food served in the restaurant was fine - standard pub grub. There were night time activities - a quiz, bingo, movie night - when we were there. Food is not served at all on a monday or tuesday, which is surprising. . . the location is very rural. Millom is 4 miles away and has a tesco for groceries and a few wee shops. We went to the beach (10 mins drive), a lake (30 mins) and the lakeland steam train/aquarium (approx 40 mins to train station). as long as you are prepared to drive, it's great. It is also lovely just yo unwind at the lodges, as it is so peaceful. . . we had a really lovely stay, made better by the fabulous weather.
Louise from Glasgow (27 July 2018)

Our 4 night stay was excellent value for money. The lodge was well maintained and the house keeping staff were excellent, we told them we didn’t want the beds making up but would like a hoover dropping in as our 1 year old leaves a trail of crumbs and they were happy to do that :) . we also ate out in the main house and the food was excellent! . only down side for was not having any shop etc within walking distance, but the local town wasn’t too far to drive to for amenities. I would recommend and would like to visit again in the future
Michelle from Harrogate (27 July 2018)

We had a fantastic week here. The lodges are set in beautiful surroundings although our lodge could have done with a bit of updating. It was however very cosy with everything we needed inside. The staff were extremely helpful.
Victoria from County Durham (27 July 2018)

All good and very relaxing. Staff are excellent but experienced a very average meal the one time we dined in the restaurant. Think they were a bit overwhelmed.
David from Cambridge (27 July 2018)

Beautiful lodge. Stunning surroundings. Loved the hot tub and the peacocks. The site is tucked out of the way of everything but a short car journey will take you to lots of fabulous places. Can recommend haverigg beach. Small but lovely
Christine from Staffordshire (27 July 2018)

Lovely place to stay & staff were very friendly & helpful will definitely be returning
Paul from Rossendale (27 July 2018)

The lodge was very good. Very clean. The family enjoyed it. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only negative wás the food in the hall wasn't great. took ages to come too. 40 mins.
Adam from Stirling (23 July 2018)

We stayed in a 3bed lodge with the name brotherswater which is situated at the top of the resort, the lodge was clean, comfortable and had all that we needed, the hot tub was great the only slight drawback for us was the location of brotherswater, it was very close to the forest so it made it quite dark inside and the balcony with the outdoor table and chairs not really good to use as we had no view at all and never caught the sun at any time during the day. the fridge was slightly broken and the freezer needed a good defrost, but both worked . the staff are all wonderful, helpful and knowledgeable, we ate in the bar as we had our daughter's dog with us on three occasions and in the restaurant upstairs, the food was excellent, well cooked and presented and very reasonably priced. We used the swimming pool which was heated, clean and very enjoyable with showers to use after your swim. plenty of towels provided and hairdryers in the bedrooms. we all enjoyed our stay very much and would have no hesitation in referring friends and family.
Sheila from Bury (23 July 2018)

We had a great time but was tricky to find as our sat nav kept loosing the signal on the country roads and nearest food shop was about 3 miles away
Leeanne from Wigan (23 July 2018)

Back door locks are broken but the place overall was beautiful.
Amber (23 July 2018)

Excellent setting, well maintained site and accommodation
Michael from Ripon (20 July 2018)

Check in was fine, staff very friendly. My issue is with the accommodation and dining. When we got into our lodge it was filled with flies. May not seem like a massive issue but it is rather nasty considering it had just been apparently cleaned. I know it is in the countryside/wood setting, however, I have never had this in any other forest/woodland location we have stayed. We had to put up with a lot of flies for the entirety of our stay. I didn’t bother unpacking our cases in the end as there was mound in the wardrobes!!! not ideal at the best of times, let alone with two little ones with us! we also had an array of spider webs in each room indicating that this place had not been cleaned in a long long time. The oven and hob symbols had been rubbed off with use and there were no instructions for using it. We ate at the hall one night- big mistake- looking back, the car in the car park with relief chef sprawled across should have given us a clue something was wrong. The food was inedible. I had fish pie which was bright yellow! perhaps they’d was turmeric in it or something- either way I had not asked for that plus it’s not a normal fish pie ingredient and it also should have been stated on the menu for people with intolerances. My husband had fish and chips which was clearly frozen!! we would have complained however they seemed very understaffed and the staff that were in seemed rushed off their feet. This is really not the standard I would have expected from brockwood hall. I was thoroughly disappointed and it ruined our entire holiday
Dina from Hale Cheshire (20 July 2018)

Lovely place to stay! beautiful lodge, clean hot tub and helpful staff. . would go again but would skip the resturant. Very quiet, no music or atmosphere. Took a long time for the food to come out.
Amy (20 July 2018)

The lodges are of a high standard. Hot tub is great and the restaurant was lovely. Only the water pressure in the shower let it down.
Gillian from Paisley (16 July 2018)

Family of 5 , well above my expectations for the price . . beautiful part of the country . . lodge was outstanding
Gareth from Essex (16 July 2018)

Beautiful surroundings. spotless accomodation. extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. Made good use of the hot tub and sauna and had an enjoyable meal at the bar in the hall itself. We booked a dog friendly cabin but our tiny dog was able to escape through a gap in the bottom of the fence surrounding the veranda but within 30 minutes a friendly maintenance person was there and sorted it!! the only thing that would make it better would be for the spa to reopen. throughly enjoyed our break at brockwood hall.
Brenda from Inverurie (16 July 2018)

A lovely break away with family. Only down side was cooking pans etc, there could have been a few more pans.
Amanda from Dalbeattie (16 July 2018)

We stayed in on one of the windermere lodges (brockenthwaite). 2 adults, 2 older teenagers and one dog. We had a fabulous week (july 2018), all of the staff were friendly from the hot tub maintenance lady and the gardeners to the bar staff and the managers. The lodges were a bit dated but we didn't spend much time inside anyway. The pool was just across the road which was always warm. The resident peacocks were a bit noisy early morning, but added to the charm. Beautiful part of the world, will definitely be booking again!
Lisa (13 July 2018)

Accommodation was amazing! such quality design & furnishings. Every you needed..even a nespresso machine. Hot tub was fabulous..really private. Location was beautiful..our decking in amongst the trees. We had a really relaxing break.
Claire from Bo'Ness (13 July 2018)

The lodge was clean, ours had a great view and hot tub was a nice touch. Relaxed and friendly. Boys loved the peacocks and play area. A guide for the house, hot water tank etc would be good. The pictures online don't really do it justice.
Ross (13 July 2018)

Lovely quiet location and ideal relaxing holiday
Fiona from Helensburgh (13 July 2018)

We enjoyed our holiday at brockwood hall, the lodge was great, roomy and all facilities in the lodge were great, added bonus of hot tub. The only let down for us was the lack off nearby walks as we had 2 dogs with us and it meant that when we took them out for a walk we had to use the car to get anywhere suitable for them.also the trees in front at the back of the lodge meant we did not get much sunlight or light on verandah or in lodge, but overall everything else was fine.
Heather from Tyne And Wear (13 July 2018)

The place is beautiful and the lodges well equipped, all of the lodges except the one we were in were situated in the woods and were private etc however our lodge was the only on next to the main carpark and the building work that was going on - complete with diggers, workmen etc
Susan from Staffordshire (13 July 2018)

Fantastic place, loved by all the family. Would definitely return.
Michelle from Glasgow (13 July 2018)

Really enjoyed our stay, 2nd time in windermere lodges. Lots of space, took two dogs and very good surroundings for walks.
Michelle from West Yorkshire (13 July 2018)

Excellent place to stay very relaxinf
Julie from Stockton On Tees (09 July 2018)

Amazing lodge! the photos don't do it justice. Would definitely recommend
Faye (09 July 2018)

The whole site is in serious need of refurbishment. The staff are local people with no expertise, and everything is cobbled. The shaving light did not work, and the maintenance man responded quickly and determined there was a fault that someone had made a fix with tape, that did not fix the basic problem. I was advised that if the light stopped working, he would come around with some more tape to secure the cover in a position which allowed the light to work. It worked for 10 seconds. The catering seems to be at the whim of the staff and not the clients. Monday is a changeover day, but there is no catering for new arrivals. The only day breakfast is available is sunday.
Alan from Sheffield (09 July 2018)

It was a fabulous experience for me and my family. Great location and scenery , family friendly and well equipped.
Biju from Newton Mearns (06 July 2018)

We had an amazing stay for 3 days the lodge was immaculate and had everything you could wish for .we used the pool everyday and ate at the restaurant where the food was very good value and service was awesome thankyou for a great break
Sheila from South Shields (02 July 2018)

Excellent location for a getaway for a long weekend. No real issues, shower drain hadn't been cleaned out properly so water was building up in the tray but soon sorted. Hot tub was adequate (not the same standard as center parcs but as the stay was a fraction of the price you can't expect it.)
John from Wiltshire (02 July 2018)

Very nice place and well situated to explore the cumbria coast if there was one criticism we had was the meal we had in the bistro took 45 mins to get and was not busy and on checking the bill we were charged wrong which was rectified. But overall the stay was good
Julie from Barnsley (29 June 2018)

We had an amazing holiday here. Staff and facilities were all great and location was amazing. We will definately be returning and will recommend this place to others.
Benjamin from We Will Definately Be Returning And Will Recommend (29 June 2018)

Excellent and secluded. The hottub is a bonus.
Adil (25 June 2018)

Lovely long weekend break here. You need a car as it's in the middle of nowhere but beautiful surroundings. We had a slight issue the first night where we ordered dinner to be brought to our lodge (15 mins before kitchen closed). we were told this was fine, but an hour later when we called to see where our food was, the chef had gone home so we were left with nothing. The staff were extremely appologetic and gave us some vouchers as compensation. As we had brought food with us it wasn't a big issue. Lodge itself was modern, clean and well stocked with necessities. Would definitely come back.
Stacey (25 June 2018)

Fantastic
Gerard from Glasgow (25 June 2018)

The maintenance of the lodge has gone down hill since the last time we went to brockwood hall
Karen from South Shields (22 June 2018)

We had a super time when we came.. would definitely go back. The staff were so helpful and friendly . thank you brockwood hall for a super holiday
William from Ainsdale (22 June 2018)

Our stay at brockwood in grizedale lodge was lovely. Hot tub well maintained, sauna in the the lodge, kitchen well appointed and a comfortable big bed!. lovely location right in the quiet south west lakes, not as busy as the central lakes but in my view all the better for it. We too the dog and dog walk around site was the perfect morning stretch for my collie before we went off for the day. Used the restaurant and has sunday roast, was nice but could be better so only reason why I have scored it a 9 and not a 10!!
Luis from Heywood (22 June 2018)

We had a great time. Cabina are well decorated tv in every room and the hot tub was great. Me my partner our 2 kids my best mate zigster and his other half had a great week. Jist when world cup 2018 started!
Damian from Stonehaven (18 June 2018)

It was our first trip away with our baby and we loved it. So clean and beautiful lodges. We used the swimming pool too and she loved it. Our hottub and sauna was just what we needed to relax too!
Stephanie from Newcastle (18 June 2018)

Lovely location excellent amenities very helpful staff
Carole (15 June 2018)

Second visit this year, lovely lodge, just the break we enjoy. own hot tub & sauna in our lodge. brilliant - relax and unwind. lovely beach for the dog to enjoy.
Lorraine from Staffordshire (15 June 2018)

We booked this holiday last minute and we are so pleased we did. This was our first time in a lodge and I would definitely recommend it. So relaxing and the hot tub is an added bonus. Only one thing would make this better and that is if they had a map of the walks rather than a leaflet that says turn left at 200 yards etc. The food here is excellent and very reasonably priced. We attended the bingo on tuesday evening which was very enjoyable.
Marie (15 June 2018)

Had a great time at brockwood hall again this year. Fabulous base for day visits around the lakes
Ruth from Manchester (15 June 2018)

Was very dissapointed @ the lack of the restuarants which they had 3 of not serving food till our 3rd day of arriving there also serving breakfast only on a sunday. which I wasnt so much bothered about as we took our own cereal & went out for breakfast on some days.we went to book a table for our evening meal to be told @ 4.30 after being out all day ,they only had 5.30 0r 7.30pm as they were very busy so we booked the 7.30pm we arrived @ the restuarant @ 7.15pm to choose our menu & was told we couldnt do this as we were early & was told our booking was 7.30pm but there was no one in the restuarant also they had seats outside which were empty then to top it all we waited 1 hour & half for our food to arrive bearing in mind we had our 2 grand children with us aged 8&5.
Patricia from Cheshire (08 June 2018)

Location of the property is beautiful however each lodge is in very close proximity to each other or the main bar/restaurant and almost all hot tubs are overlooked. This wasn't ideal. . the lodge was well equipped and presented, clean and had lots of little extras which were great (milk in fridge, tea bags, dishwasher tablets etc.). I was aware of the need for a deposit but it wasn't until aftet the card transaction that staff informed me it would take 5 working days to clear back to my bank. . check out options were flexible, it was possible to extend the stay until 4pm for free if you booked sunday lunch there. Unfortunately this seems that staff are booing late check out at properties that are already booked as, when we arrived, almost every single party had to wait to check in as their lodges wernt cleaned yet. There was also no pre warning that the hot tub could take up until 10pm on the day of check in to heat up. As it happens, our hot tub did heat up- it was so hot that we were totally unable to use it! we requested it be turned down and someone did come to assist the first time. It was still to hot to even put my hand in. And for the remainder of the holiday, no one was available to assist with the hot tubs. We were advised to empty some water out and fill with cold on the saturday night, which we did. Obviously this cold water was out of the tap so, come sunday morning, the tub smelled and was dirty. We could not use it again. Very disappointed.
Anna from Co. Durham (03 June 2018)

Fantastic location staff very friendly cabin very nice, great place to go if you have pets
Jane from Manchester (01 June 2018)

Beautiful place. Lovely lodge, so quiet and peaceful. Lovely waking up to the peacocks and seeing them around the hall. Lodges were kept clean every day and provided towels for bathing and seperate swimming / top tub towels. Swimming pool was more than adequate. Hot tub was lovely only downside of the holiday was how noisy hot tubs were when cleaning. Definitely returning next hear
Elaine (01 June 2018)

The park was a little disappointing and the lodge a bit too small and a bit dated - the hot tub was also incredibly noisy! the tv signal was rubbish and we could only get bbc channels. Facilities wise, there wasn’t a great deal on offer and the whirlpool and steam room were out of order. We also found the ‘no food on offer’ monday’s and tuesdays a little odd and inconvenient. The organised entertainment didn’t appear to go ahead either as the restaurant appeared to be chaos. Whilst staff were helpful, service seemed very disjointed and inefficient. We were also sadly located in front of a big brown patch which wasn’t great to look at.
Claire from Stafford (01 June 2018)

First time staying there. One or two niggles problems but staff sorted out quickly. Food good but be aware that on wednesday evening a quizzes is held, very popular so bar and restaurant busy felt sorry for the staff not enough on but they were still helpful , had a bit of a wait for our meal.
Deborah from North Yorkshire (01 June 2018)

A wonderful and relaxing break. Our second visit and we are planning our third for later this year!
Laura from Preston (28 May 2018)

Beautiful tranquil kids loved it
Carrie from Ramsbottom (28 May 2018)

Took my 2 teenage daughters on a short break to brockwood hall lodges and we had a lovely stay! the lodge was clean and well equipped, the hot tub was fab and it was great to have facilities on site for swimming and food. Would definitely recommend
Rosi from Loughborough (28 May 2018)

Great place too chill out
Allan from Glenrothes (25 May 2018)

Great holiday, lovely lodge in a peaceful relaxing location
Ross from Annan (25 May 2018)

The lodge was in a beautiful location but the interior of the lodge needs a bit of attention. The kitchen cupboards need to be fixed and the extractor fan had a switch missing. The windows and curtains in particular are desperate for a clean. The swimming pool on site was lovely and we enjoyed a meal in the hall which was lovely. The staff we dealt with were really friendly.
Rachel from Wigan (21 May 2018)

Great location and grounds. staff are so helpful nothing is to much trouble.
Kay from Lytham (21 May 2018)

Really pleased with everything about this place. Amazed at how lovely it was and the staff were friendly and helpful. I'd definitely come back
Holly from Norwich (20 May 2018)

Staff were lovely and couldn't do enough for us. Lodge was nice but a little small. Seating in lodge was very uncomfortable. Lodge was well equipt with everything we needed. Lodge was clean but windows and patio windows needed a good clean. The deck and outside furniture needed a good clean. Beautiful surroundings, gardens were well kept and looked beautiful. Main downside was they didn't do food 2 nights and we struggled to find anywhere, so was a good job we were warned before we went. Overall we enjoyed our stay and can't praise the staff enough, they were brilliant.
Valerie from Leeds (18 May 2018)

I had a great time it was lovely to come back to the hot tub after a day walking.
Paula from Newcastle Under Lyme (18 May 2018)

Great place. Staff are really really good and helpful. The only build would be maybe some privacy when using hot tubs. A lot are overlooked.
Kevin from Liverpool (14 May 2018)

Not much to do around (10mile radius) .lodge was excellent and great value for money
Lee from Skipton (14 May 2018)

Nice area and surroundings, clean and well kept. Lovely seeing peacocks roaming every day! lodge lovely, cleanliness good though could have been better in some areas, and one of our dogs did find broken glass under the sofa. Also a docking station from previous occupants was left behind. Kitchen utensils could have been better, another or a better frying pan and trays for oven in particular. Also on arrival our fridge and freezer were turned off, we didnt realise until next morning when by then some food had to be wasted. Otherwise lodge lovely, and hot tub great. We rented bikes one day which were a great price of only £5 per person. We also used the swimming pool on site which was well kept.
Joanne from Newcastle (14 May 2018)

There were some problems with the hot tub that were put right. Ie boiling hot on arrival but the tub lost heat on the last night of our stay. Bar and bistro plus menu dated. Staff friendly and helpful. Lodge well equiped cosy and clean. Bed comfy and linen of good quality. Surroundings well cared for and very pretty. About 20 lodges so a nice size ie not too big.
Annette (14 May 2018)

This is twice we’ve been her now and it’s a lovely peaceful setting, also if you take your dog there is a lovely dogwalk thru the woods, and if your fit enough ,up the 60 wooden steep steps, the only reason that I didn’t give it 10 is because I feel the lanes surrounding it are too narrow to go out walking and too dangerous to walk to the town of millom, the beach is a further 15 min drive from there, nice beach, unfortunately we were maybe a week early to enjoy the wee beach cafe opening, nice coffee and a filled roll there, the nearest big town I believe is barrow, about a45min drive,go to the lakeside steam railway nearby and then the boat to bowness ,a lovely day out and not too expensive either.
Helen (04 May 2018)

Had a fantastic weekend for my partner’s 40th birthday, the staff were fantastic and could not do enough to help we will defo be back again
Claire from Gateshead (30 April 2018)

This lodge was so good but the site wasn’t great as there was no shop on site so nearest place was a 6 mike drive. Other than that can’t fault the place
Olivia from Wirral (29 April 2018)

Kerry (09 April 2018)

Lodges are very tired and have not been fully refurbished as advertised. We had mound in the bathrooms. No hot water on the tuesday morning due to water pressure issues when the hot tubs are refilled on a monday, the restaurant is closed monday and tuesday's and no where local to eat out, the swimming pool was very unclean with blocked drains and there is no staff to clear changing areas etc throughout the day when the area gets dirty with outside shoes. The staff were friendly and helpful and the engineers were very responsive in fixing a number of issues we had in our lodge. It's a shame as with some real investment and upgrading and additional facilities, this could be a nice site.
Claire from Scotland (06 April 2018)

We are a family of 4 who stayed in the dudden lodge which was an excellent accommodation which the photos don’t do justice. The lodge is very large with excellent facilities including under food heating and very comfortable beds as well as very clean. The family enjoyed the hot tub and the staff were extremely helpful and very friendly. . the swimming pool was warm and clean and the boys enjoyed the pool table , drinks in the bar were not expensive and we enjoyed the move night and bingo in the bar.
Kevin from Formby (06 April 2018)

A fantastic holiday. The staff are really warm and friendly. Going over and above to make sure we had everything we needed. I would really recommend. Great location for the south lakes
Rachael from Newcastl (06 April 2018)

A great location. Very peaceful. . only comment I would make is that the hot tub was too hot. But, which is where it counts.. it was sorted after I mentioned it to the engineer. . . . I like the walk around the site and have always loved this area. . for me it is the gateway to the "proper" lakes rather than the places people tend to go like windermere. . nothing wrong with windermere. I just think the countryside is more spectacular once you have gone further north

Spotlessly clean, spacious, comfy sofas with plenty of seating beautiful scenery would defiantly stay again. Small warning loads of peacocks which I had never seen mentioned. I enjoyed seeing them but if your not a bird lover maybe have a rethink.
Rosie from Barnsley (02 April 2018)

Had a fantastic time at brockwood hall. Would definitely recommend.
Nicola from Cheshire (02 April 2018)

Great place. Staff amazing. Brockwood hall had the best customer service in ages. Lodge really well stocked. Park could do with something for younger children. Site may benefit from a small shop, kids would have enjoyed a walk for an ice cream. Would definitely go back!
Sarah-Jayne from Ormksirk (02 April 2018)

Overall a stunning location surprisingly easy to find - however main reason for going; hot tub, hot tub temp was freezing when we arrived and then for the rest of the trip it was boiling to a point you couldn’t even rest your feet in it! when calling reception we were told oh yeah just put some cold water in it and leave the top off - both of which we did - not really what you want to be doing all holiday is filling tubs of cold water to cool your hot tub down - which then heats back to boiling in a few hours all in all spoilt what could have been a perfect holiday - also sauna seats are that old that I wouldn’t reccomend sitting on them - after the first trip to the floor we left the sauna idea, essentially we stayed in a lovely log cabin no hot tub or sauna! staff seem to be aware of the hot tub issue as the residents staying next door to us asked what our temp was like - seems to be a site wide issue!

We stayed in dudden which was a very new lodge. the lodge was very spacious, nicely decorated and well equipped. beds were very comfortable. the on site restaurant was nothing special but it was nice to have a bar and somewhere to eat in walking distance. the staff were extremely helpful with one member of staff being exceptional (sarah). we all loved the hot tub and enjoyed the main pool/sauna every day. all in all a fabulous easter week.
Gill from Liverpool (30 March 2018)

Excellent lodge, clean, spacious ,modern & fully equipped. The hot tub was on the private balcony & not overlooked, wonderfully relaxing. . . perfectly located to access the lake district, staff cery helpful & polite. . . we ate in the restaurant on the saturday evening & the food was very well prepared & served and tasted wonderful. . never give a 10/10 score but this came very close!
Stuart from Cheadle Gulme (26 March 2018)

Very nice break & nice lodge. Hot tub great & plenty to do roundabout.
Graham from Burnley (26 March 2018)

We had the perfect weekend, helped by sunshine! lodge was lovely, all the little extras included, coffee maker, bed making, complimentary toiletries etc. Beds were a little hard was my only complaint but this is individual preference, but none of us found them comfy. Lovely and quiet. Hot tub great and used daily. Pool and sauna used too. Area outstanding. Easy to get to beaches and further afield. Loved the peacocks.

We stayed in heritage lodge which was lovely with beautiful scenic views. All staff were very friendly, helpful and always on hand to answer any questions we had.
Suzie from Reading (23 March 2018)

I bought this for a surprise week away for my other half and we loved it! . the location was out of the way and beautiful but close enough to the nearest tesco so we could do our food shop ( about 10 mins away). the staff got us checked in quickly and showed us to our lodge which was warmed up for us, which was something I was concerned about as we went in march and it had been freezing cold!. the hot tub was too hot but we called reception and someone came within 15 mins to fix it for us! used it the same night which was fab!. we stayed in ‘lune’ lodge which had a great view. We had all the utensils we needed to cook our breakfasts and dinner only thing is we didn’t have a non stick pan or any oil but other than that was great! they provided dishwasher tablets so we didn’t have to wash up all week which was a blessing, and the cleaners came each day to make our beds and so on ( thank you cleaners ) . the lodge was perfect size for us ( 2 adults) we used the spare room as a dressing room as there isn’t loads of space but if you came with 2 adults ans 2 children this lodge would be fine, 4 adults I think it would be a bit of a squeeze but that’s just us.
Shannon from The Staff Got Us Checked In Quickly And Showed Us (23 March 2018)

Amazing place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Already decided to come back again whilst still there, all staff we met were really welcoming and polite to chat to. Explored some local areas whilst staying and know for our next visit where to explore next
