The bed in our cottage was so uncomfortable we slept on the sofa on the 2nd night. The bathroom was cold and not very clean. . my daughter asked for a heater for their downstairs bedroom which was cold and had a damp patch on the wall, this was provided but begrudgingly. . we had a problem with the hot tub and the owner accused us rudely of altering the settings!. the heated pool was cold, far too cold for children. . the owner entered the ladies changing rooms with no warning when my daughter in law was getting changed. . these are just a few issues and we were only there for 2 days, we came home a night early as we couldn't bear to stay in the bed!
Katherine from Bingley (30 December 2016)

Great place to stay
Mandy (27 December 2016)

Read some bad reviews before we went and yes the cottage had mold patches, flaky wallpaper and paint but do you know what it's a cottage, everything was there that we needed and it was perfect. We will definitely be returning.
Joanne from Darlington (27 December 2016)

Cottage was nice, clean and warm. nothing much locally to visit apart from the rocks. Big disappointment for me was the hottub. It was lovely and big and would have been fabulous except for the fact that the owners lock the tub temperature at 37.5 degrees, which was nowhere near hot enough for cold evenings so was more a warm tub than a hottub. This spoilt the whole holiday for me. Shame, because it would have been wonderful otherwise.
Carol from Manchester (26 September 2016)

The cottage was lovely however a little run down with damp in places, if we were walkers this would have been perfect but we were aiming for a more of a luxury weekend. We will probably stay again in a bigger cottage and bring our son who would love the hot tub and surroundings. We have however recommended this cottage to our friends who are walkers and they will be booking in the spring.
Susan from Bradford (26 September 2016)

Accommodation clean and tidy. In the area we love near to some of yorkshire s beautiful attraction s. Swimming pool and hot tubs a nice extra but most important the welcome dogs. . look forward to going in 2017.
Denise from Billinge. Wigan (24 September 2016)

Location is super. Friendly welcoming owners.
Donna from Northampton (17 September 2016)

We had a lovely time and it was such a peaceful place to stay. Some of the décor was a little tired, but the cottage was cosy and spotless. We had such a good time we're looking at booking for next year! great value and fantastic location.
Anna from Barrow-In-Furness (16 September 2016)

Excellent accomoddation, peaceful location handy for york ,harrogate and many other beautiful towns and villages
Garry from Hull (10 September 2016)

We had a lovely time, good location and great on-site facilities (hot tub, swimming pool, bbq area). the owners were also very friendly. The cottage itself could do with a little revamp but it was clean, comfortable and well equipped. We will definitely return! :-)
Rachel from Oxfordshire (02 September 2016)

Cottages are really well located for the rocks with fountains abby/studley royal, jeaveux abby and other such attractions a short ride away. We were out every day and thoroughly enjoyed the area
David from Durham (02 September 2016)

Cottage needs a little updating and lick of paint
John from Rochford (27 August 2016)

Nice location, hot tub well maintained and a nice addition.
Harvey (22 August 2016)

Loved the hot tub and location. Cottage needs a little tlc
Lynne from Cleethorpes (22 August 2016)

Great relaxing weekend, nice cottage in need of some work but didn't reduce our enjoyment
Neil from Barrow Upon Humber (15 August 2016)

We had a wonderful few nights at brimham rocks cottages in august 2016. On arrival we had gale force winds, followed by hot sunshine, and ending with torrential rain! the cottage was cosy, clean, and had everything we could need. Swimming pool was lovely (small), we had a very competitive evening playing table tennis and table football (all free of charge) in the games room. We would have liked to play pool, but the cues were only a foot long - but the pool table was free!. . the dog walking area was great, small but enough to let our labrador race around off the lead for a while as he needed to be on the lead constantly when out for walks. . the cottages could do with a bit of tlc, there was paint peeling off the walls in some areas, and the microwave was a bit rusty. But for the price we paid we were more than happy. . the hot tub was fantastic, and the back 'garden' very private which was better than many other places we have stayed. . yes, I would go back - no, it is not as luxurious as some of the lodges we have stayed at previously. . staff/owners were lovely, very friendly and cheerful, but then just left you to it. . stunning surroundings, and by some miracle the sun came out on our walk to brimham rocks!
Lisa from West Yorkshire (12 August 2016)

Bring am rocks cottages were lovely. Had everything we needed and hot tub was a bonus. Could do with some updating and a proper dust but other than that can't fault it.
Lisa (12 August 2016)

Perfect location for exploring yorkshire; harrogate and york within easy reach. Brimham rocks within walking distance, well worth a visit, also lovely pubs nearby serving great food. On site, the swimming pool, games room and grounds are ideal for a relaxing, enjoyable stay.
Lye from Aldridge (30 July 2016)

Good holiday, cottage needs updating. Loved the hottub! dvds to borrow were handy!
Roxanne from Ipswich (29 July 2016)

Lovely location would defiantly go back to the area, we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday.
Paul from Lincolnshire (23 July 2016)

Terence from Redditch (23 July 2016)

Wonderful welcome, helpful owners, beautiful surroundings, hot tub was perfect
Jennifer from Kilmarnock (16 July 2016)

I visited the lodges as it was a holiday near my family - the location is excellent for access to cou ntryside and town staff very friendly my only issue is the standard of décor and furnishings both of which are showing serious signs of wear and tear and really need updating this season
Louise from Newton Stewart (02 July 2016)

Wonderful relaxing break. We'll definitely be back!
Susan from Preston (27 June 2016)

Great relaxing place to stay amd explore the area.
Tim (24 June 2016)

Very pleasant stay in lovely surroundings. Loved the hot tub!
Carol from Darlington (24 June 2016)

We had a lovely stay here in a one bedroom cottage with hot tub. The cottage decor was a little dated but still very cosy and clean. And it was dog friendly. The hot tub and swimming pool were a nice luxury. Location is great, lots to do close by. We visited brimham rocks and fountain abbey national trust sites and pateley bridge the nearest village is handy for supplies and has a nice river walk.
Nicola from Manchester (24 June 2016)

We stayed hear in the middle of june this year and what a fab place this really is, the owners are really nice and helpful nothing is to much trouble, when we first got into the cottage there was a bottle of wine and chocolates and flowers waiting for us!! that is a really nice touch its soooo peaceful and relaxing just the place to go if you want to get away from it all and re-charge the battries. Would recommend this place to everyone and hope we hope to be back very soon.
Joanne from York (17 June 2016)

We had an amazing time from start to finish.
Sarah from Sidcup (10 June 2016)

Absolutely perfect holiday retreat away from the hustle and bustle, relaxing, friendly atmosphere, we loved it. The only thing we found fault with is that the swimming pool was so cold it put us off using it again.
Wendy from Sheffield (30 May 2016)

Beds need reviewing as mattresses on sofa beds were not useable - shared hot tub not the best standard but still enjoyable for the money
Lynne from Bury (30 May 2016)

Had a great weekend there was loverly weather was good too
Steven from Tynewear (09 May 2016)

Melanie from Bury, Lancs (19 March 2016)

Brilliant, this is the third time we have been. Lovely peaceful location, great for walking, wish I could afford to buy a cottage at brimham rocks and stay there forever! great place, warm friendly staff. I would highly recommend to others ;o). looking to book again in april/may time.
Kristopher from Peterlee (29 February 2016)

Fantastic location. Fantastic accommodation. Fantastic staff. All round amazing place and I will definitely be visiting again
Matthew from Salford (22 February 2016)

Our review is for a stay in cedar cottage, which was a one bed cottage with a private hot tub in the garden. . we stayed for a week which enabled us to get around the local area during the day and then enjoy the evening in the cosy cottage or in the hot tub. . the cottage was really clean on arrival. A few spots of damp and flakey paint around windows wasn't an issue for us, especially when the hot tub made the location stand out. . with views overlooking countryside and brimham rocks, we enjoyed having a few drinks under the stars in the hot tub. We mostly enjoyed decent weather; a crisp cold -2 degrees evening actually made perfect hot tub conditions, and even with a spot of rain, wind or snow the tub was still perfect. . on past reviews people have stated about their rooms being cold but this was certainly not the case for us; we actually had to turn down radiators on some nights. . the site offers a swimming pool and games room and the couple who run the place were really friendly and helpful. . we'll definitely be back in the future to enjoy another hot tub stay.
Jonathan (20 February 2016)

Accommodation very old and dated!
Andrew from Brimham Rocks (19 February 2016)

Gorgeous to watch the sun go down over the rocks, in icy chilly surroundings with a steamy hot tub. Will definitely be back. Very dog friendly and cottage well appointed. Only reason it wasn't a ten for everything was the shower was low pressure. Really low. But that's such a small thing in the grand scheme in an excellently appointed and cared for cottage.
Vikki (19 February 2016)

A brilliant stay away from everyday life. Perfect for what we wanted.
Laura (15 January 2016)

Lovely place great area great for walking and shopping at harrogate
Lorraine (11 January 2016)

It was ok, swimming pool was the best thing. Cottage was in need of a refurbished in my option. States wifi but not possible.
Paul from Shildon (04 January 2016)

Fantastic, just what we want. Booked to go again in a few months .
Mark (30 December 2015)

A great short break, lovely location, staff couldn't help enough, will definitely be going back in the future
Andrew from Manchester (21 December 2015)

Fantastic location lovely cottage hot tub in the snow swimming pool is a bonus will be back fabulous
Geoff from Doncaster (14 December 2015)

We had a fantastic time pool and hot tub made it extra great so relaxing would come again
Peter (21 November 2015)

The holiday was amazing really beautiful location, the cottage was perfect very homely and warm. We were pleasantly surprised at how well equipped the cottage was.
Melanie from Middlesbrough (30 October 2015)

Excellent location for exploring local sites.
Js from Herts (19 October 2015)

We have recently return from a long weekend away. We stayed in the rowan cottage, while the cottage provided everything you need it was slightly dated. I feel without the hotub (which we loved) the cottage would have been over prised. The surroundings were perfect and ideal for a relaxed weekend away. Although we enjoyed out stay and the break, I am not sure we would book the cottages again.
Lucy (19 October 2015)

We enjoyed our stay at brimham cottage, the hot tub was wonderful, especially after a walk to brimham rocks which is a nice walk from the cottage.
Terry from Rotherham (16 October 2015)

Really lovely location, the accommodation is described as luxury but we felt it was just adequate. free wi-fi was included but impossible to connect at any time in any of the areas during our 3 day stay. the cottages we feel are over priced and for that reason it is unlikely we would return.
Hilary from North East (12 October 2015)

Excellent location for exploring the dales.
Stephen from Lichfield (10 October 2015)

Had a great weekend. Loved the area , loved the ice creams, as well as the pool and hottub. Will hopefully go back next year.
Alyson from Cramlington (28 September 2015)

The
Michael from Hull (21 September 2015)

Stayed 3 times. lovely pool and nice surrounding. owners very helpful. good location for sight seeing.
Helen from Nottingham (19 September 2015)

After reading a few negative reviews we were a little bit worried, however we needn't have been, it is very clean and quiet, the hot tub is brilliant and well kept, our dogs had a wonderful time also. I enjoyed the swimming pool and the games room, we will book again. Very friendly people.
Paul from Barrow-In-Furness (18 September 2015)

Loved brimham rocks cottages. So relaxing, peace, quiet and tranquility. Hot tub fantastic!
Anne from Sunderland (05 September 2015)

The cottage was tired needed modernising especially bedroom and shower/ bathroom
Julie from Liverpool (31 August 2015)

We had our second stay in cedar cottage, it was a good base to explore cosy comfortable and with everything we needed including a comfy bed and lovely hot tub
Melanie from Lichfield (29 August 2015)

We had a lovely holiday at the end of august. The children loved the games room and swimming pool. When we used the communal hot tub we were attacked by flies but the cottages are in the countryside so that can't be helped! the owners were friendly and helpful.
Rachel from Horsham (29 August 2015)

Had a great break in a wonderful location. . fantastic to have a hot tub in the back garden, and great to access to a pool too! . . nearest shop is 10 mins away by car, so don't get caught.
Simon from Gloucester (28 August 2015)

Really nice location in a great area. Very good facilities, pool in particular very nice and clearly well maintained.
Paul from Gloucestershire (22 August 2015)

Could do with a more comfortable robust settee.
Marie from Swadlincote (22 August 2015)

Lovely cottage, nice and quiet. Hardly every heard anyone else. Swimming pool was lovely. Bed was very hard and did not sleep well, amazing location definitely go back again will take air bed next time x
Joanne (14 August 2015)

Fab holiday
Frances from Northchapel (08 August 2015)

Enjoyed our holiday and it was great.
Viswanathan (07 August 2015)

Fantastic holiday! really lovely area, cottage was perfect and full of everything we needed! . very helpful staff, would definitely go back!
Samantha from Hull (31 July 2015)

A really lovely cottage in a very picturesque area. There was everything we needed in the cottage and the hottub just outside our door was enjoyed by all. It was spotlessly clean and we were not too far from major places.
Linda (31 July 2015)

Beautiful location, friendly staff, great greeting gift and fab pool and games room.
Clare from Powys (25 July 2015)

A nice location away from busy traffic and lovely views.
Mary-Ellen from High Wycombe (25 July 2015)

We had a great stay. Loved the pool and games room and used them every night.the position was very central, there was an excellent pub two miles down the road for great food and we walked up to brimham rocks every night.
Jenny from Southampton (18 July 2015)

A great place to unwind
Godfrey from Guildford (04 July 2015)

The decor was a little tired and could do with updating. The bed was very lumpy and uncomfortable, the mattress really needed to be changed. The owners were very helpful. We would definitely stay there again.
Martin from Whitley Bay (04 July 2015)

We stayed in oak. It was spacious well equipped and had good amenities.
Louise from Leicestershire (29 June 2015)

This was our 5th visit to brimham rocks cottages and the first under the current management/ownership. There were a number of things that I consider should have been sorted and not left. The top of the swing top bin was broken top to bottom, the bottom shelf of the refrigerator has obviously broken and not been replaced, the wardrobe door was broken, the sealant behind kitchen sink was black, very large flakes of paint coming off bathroom wall and the bathroom sink had a crack at the back of it. People may be happy to live with these things in their own homes but if you are paying good money I do not expect that sort of standard. The same furniture and carpets appear to be there the same as ten years ago and all looking very tired and in need of replacement.
Michael from Benfleet (20 June 2015)

Lovely location very helpful staff, meet on arrival and shown around the facilities and everything explained to us. Complimentary wine and chocolates on arrival. Only issue was the cottage we were in was on the small side but comfortable and the wifi was not the best, but we went for a relaxing getaway and it sertantly provided that.hot tub was great. Would certainly return but too one of the larger cottages. Enclosed garden was fantastic for our dogs. The half moon pub did great food and was only 5 min away.
Margaret from Clackmannanshire (20 June 2015)

We had an amazing holiday at brimham rocks cottages. Perfect location for exploring the surrounding area of nidderdale and beyond. There is so much to see and do. Perfect holiday for us.
Emma from Newcastle (13 June 2015)

Was shown around the site facilities away from the lodge promptly on arrival & she was very polite & helpful. Very nice indoor swimming pool & a separate laundry area. Own secluded external hot tub was very good. Central heating worked well. . just 5 minutes down the road is brimham rocks which is a great place to see & walk around, which is owned by the national trust.
Kevin from Yateley (06 June 2015)

Excellent location and range of facilities for this kind of holiday. Beautiful and peaceful surroundings. . countryside location, ideal for walking and cycling, and national trust type activities. . cottage in serious need of redecoration, with plaster work required in parts. Kitchen tired with grease residue hardened on in parts. General smell of damp. . the owners informed us that this cottage was due for renovation at end of season, that the cottages were decorated on a rotational basis. Would kindly suggest that the renovation interval be decreased, even a lick of paint annually might have made a difference. . extensive set of rules, including restrictions to two people at a time in the hot tub. Being a family of three (teenage daughter) this would have been a turn off to this holiday option had this been clear on the hoseasons website. Just to clarify, we would not have booked this cottage forewarned of such a limitation. Family evenings in the hot tub, didn't happen. . . we weren't able to effectively control the heating. Even with the thermostat turned up it only came on for a couple of hours in the evening. This meant towels not drying, and a couple of cold evenings in!. . self catering, and rated as 4 star at the gate to the site. Definitely not 4 star accommodation. With self catering there is an expectation to keep the kitchen clean ourselves, and and empty our bins of the rubbish we create. However we weren't impressed on reading the rules about having to hoover and strip bedding on departure. This is reminded me of 1980s/ 90's style yha membership, not 4 star, and certainly not the price we paid.
Andrew from Sunderland (01 June 2015)

"2nd time we have stayed and it was as brilliant as the first time. A very special place with so much on the doorstep if you want to travel further afield."
Francesca from Pinchbeck, Nr Spalding, Lincolnshire (30 May 2015)

We had a lovely time, location was the best thing about it. The pool and spa was excellent, as too was the games room. My only disappointment was my failure to work out the complicated oven, I struggled to use it as a microwave. I also used the public spa beside the pool, only to find myself and my children locked out as we weren't told there was a different door code, this was frightening and a cold experience.
Nicole from Whitely Bay (25 May 2015)

Beautiful quiet area to spend a relaxing week. Perfect base for exploring. Owners could not have been more helpful. Large pool, very clean. Have been 4 times so far.
Ena from Scotland (23 May 2015)

Great location and facilities. Some of the bedroom furniture is in need of repair and the water pressure in the showers was a little lacking but this didn't detract from the accommodation. Beds were comfy and the kitchen contained everything you could possibly need. Really appreciate not having to take my own towels and washing up cloths. The kids had a great time and loved the mezzanine and the games room facilities. Very friendly and helpful owners. Easy walking distance to brimham rocks. Will definitely consider staying here again.
Cindy from East Yorkshire (18 May 2015)

Had a lovely time, no major complaints really.
Angela from Heckmondwike (18 May 2015)

Wifi is almost non existent and no other connect option possible- very disappointing especially as so many attractions need booking in advance to get discounts. Swimming pool and games area fantastic. Shower water pressure in cottages low and hard to balance as the water temp is so hot but showers by the pool perfect so we used them instead!. would return but only when internet access is possible. Owners very friendly, helpful and accommodating.
Bridget from Berghem/Netherlands (01 May 2015)

A beautiful secluded place and the staff were very friendly and helpful
Ian (20 April 2015)

We have stayed here 5 times and there is plenty to do in the surrounding area. The facilities are great and the cottage is well equipped and clean. Its a nice relaxing place and we love it here and will definitely go back again.
Penny from Lincoln (18 April 2015)

We really enjoyed our stay at brimham rocks cottages, everything worked well and we had everything we needed, the hot tub was great but for this time of year it should have been warmer, other than that we would gladly visit again.
Jenny (17 April 2015)

Thought the facilities and surroundings were excellent value, will definitley be back
Bernie from St Helens (17 April 2015)

Went as a couple for easter weekend and thought it was perfect for a little getaway! very aged inside, kitchen cupboards are slightly tacky and the bed was very hard, but for the hot tub in the private yard it's well worth it. Would 100% visit again!
Jonathan from Hartlepool (06 April 2015)

We really enjoyed our stay in the cottage and will defiantly be returning!
Maria from Wigan (04 April 2015)

Excellent!
Fiona from Durham (04 April 2015)

Fabulous setting, perfect for relaxing weeks holiday, hot tub divine, perfect for taking the dog, secure garden and secure dog exercise area x
Jack from Norwich (28 March 2015)

A stunning location and reasonable price made this a largely enjoyable stay.
Alan from Bolton (23 March 2015)

Booked this cottage as somewhere to stay while we visited friends and family in the area. it worked well.
Katherine from Liskeard (14 March 2015)

Superb location, scenery amazing. Lots of places to visit. Fountain abbey amazing
Sandra from Edinburgh (14 March 2015)

Had the most amazing time, the best hot tub feeling in the world especially when it's turning dark and stars are out, mangers were excellent well run service can't wait to go back
Jacqueline from Northumberland (13 March 2015)

Stayed here twice and we love it - quiet location overlooking the rocks - in hot tub every night come rain or snow! cottage is cosy and warm, the on-site swimming pool and games room are an ideal addition, especially on rainy days. looking forward to our next visit.
Terry from Clitheroe (06 March 2015)

Overall a lovely cottage and the hot tub was great even in the snow. the views of the surrounding area was fantastic and the owners were very helpful and pleasant. plenty of places to visit nearby. will be going back again soon in fact booked for new year but alas without a hot tub.
Wendy from Stockton On Tees (02 March 2015)

Fantastic stay a brimham rocks again!!
Sue from Leicester (21 February 2015)

We have now stayed at brimham rocks 4 times. We love the peace and quiet but it's not to far away from shops. We also choose it for the lovely hot tubs which are quite private. The owners leave chocolates and wine in every cottage which is a nice touch too. We will definitely be back for a 5th stay.
Mark from Stockport (13 February 2015)

A great place to stay for a relaxing weekend.
Susan from Selby (09 February 2015)

I would highly recommend these cottages we can't wait to go back. We chose them as they are dog friendly and wanted plenty of places to go walking which did not disappoint. Brimham rocks are in walking distance from the cottages with lots of public footpaths nearby which we enjoyed investigating. Only thing I would say is be prepared and bring all you need in terms of food and drink as there aren't any shops nearby.
Angela from Holmes (02 February 2015)

Amazing place - a romantic break - the hot tub just added to whole wonderful experience. I totally recommend the experience to any couple.
Sandra from Derbyshire (03 January 2015)

Beautiful little place perfect for a little romantic get away
Sarah from Leeds (01 December 2014)

We had a fantastic time
Samantha from Newton Aycliffe (28 November 2014)

Lovely relaxing stay. Just felt the cottage ( lilac cottage) needed an update..it was tired.
Anne (24 November 2014)

Great holiday, cottage and facilities. Had a lovely week. Only small downside was there was no pub within easy walking distance.
Cicely (21 November 2014)

Awesome location, away from it all, will be back!
James from Norwich (17 November 2014)

Wonderful location. Lots of interesting places to visit. Swimming pool excellent. Wifi access was not good in beech cottage. Could only access it in one bedroom near window.
Lynne from Leicester (15 November 2014)

Great location. Cottage clean and had everything we needed. Pool and games room a huge hit with the kids. Owners were very friendly and helpful. Couldn't ask for mites. Great value for money.
Sue from Bury (03 November 2014)

Fantast location and really good facilities. The family that run the cottages are available, approachable and friendly. Would definitely visit again.
Nicola from Hull (01 November 2014)

The cottage we had was very 'tired' and needed an overhaul. The overall site looks lovely and I can guess it would be fabulous in the summer. I hope the other cottages here are of a better standard. Staff helpful
Tim from Durham (27 October 2014)

The cottages are located within walking distance of brimham rocks, in scenic nidderdale. Fountains abbey and bolton abbey are easy day trips from here. Having a swimming pool and games room on site was fantastic. There is a shared outdoor hot tub near the pool.
Catherine from York (27 October 2014)

The cottage was shabby in places. Ie light fittings had been changed over dining table. Previous holes not filled and not painted to blend in. Dining table was badly marked and looked shabby. There was a lot of dust in the bedroom. Especially on the four poster bed and small cubard. I spent my first 30 minutes dusting because i'm allergate to dust and have asthma. The cutely was hard to use and you could not cut your food with the knifes. The dinner plates were far to small. We went to reception on 3 occasions at various times and could not find the staff. On our last day we used the vacuum cleaner because we have a dog. The nozzle kept falling of and it had an awful smell. I'm pretty sure if we could have found a member of staff some of our issues could have been put right. It's in a lovely setting but felt the cottage needed some care and attention to detail.
Jason from Glossop (17 October 2014)

Great place - remote feeling but close to major towns and not far off the a1 for those travelling a long distance. Good location for local attractions. We visited bolton priory and the strid, stump cross caverns, grassington, malham cove and brimham rocks.
Christopher from Edinburgh (17 October 2014)

Especially liked the welcome presents
Aideen (13 October 2014)

Been here a few times now and it never disappoints.. everything is excellent.. . will be back again soon.
Paul (11 October 2014)

Beautiful location friendly owners pity about the couple next door who argued for 8 hours on the sunday and we could not use the hot tub as the foul language was too much for our grandchildren
Tracy from Pontefract (29 September 2014)

This is an ideal locaction for a get away from it all holiday, there is a lovely pub a couple of miles away if you don't want to cook. A good location for exploring the local area and beyond.
Sharon from Nottingham (26 September 2014)

Our first visit to brimham rocks. It was a beautiful place to spend a short break. Lots to do. We were made to feel very welcome and a bottle of wine and some chocolates were waiting for us!. we will definitely be back.
Mary from Preston (12 September 2014)

Would recommend brimham cottages to all my friends and family. My wife and I had a fantastic week here so peaceful and hot tub first class, cottage had all you require.
Martin from Dumfries (30 August 2014)

Great area to explore, cottages in a fantastic location.
Jane from Bedford (29 August 2014)

I had a great holiday, cottage was good and the hot tub was excellent. Would probably bring our smaller car as roads are tight in some places around the area, otherwise I am looking into returning
Michael from Co Durham (23 August 2014)

Absolutely fantastic holiday cottage, we had a great time! the pool was lovely together with the hot tub. We stayed in the elm cottage and it was plenty big enough for 7 of us with 2 dogs. . the amenities were great, washer, dryer and ironing board and iron, even books and board games! . the games room, pool and hot tub where all free so my kids were never bored back at site. . its in a quiet location, but only 5-10 minutes drive away from ripon and patley bridge. We would definitely go back again and couldn't say a bad thing about the place.
Susan from Lancashire (22 August 2014)

Lovely place. Friendly staff. Relaxing holiday. Just not keen on dog hair in the cottage. Had to hoover to get rid of it as have a young son
Nicholas (22 August 2014)

Lodge good, pool and games room good, staff very helpful. main disadvantage was that the advertised cycling not really suitable for younger people as country lanes too narrow with pretty fast traffic. This proved a disappointment to our 13 and 14 year olds.
Margaret from Chester (22 August 2014)

We were attending a local wedding and the cottages were ideal for us. We were a party of 5 in a cottage for 6/8 which we all agreed would have been a bit cosy. The pool and games room were fantastic especially as we had some very dire weather. Yes we would love to come back.
Patricia from Sheringham, Norfolk (11 August 2014)

Excellent holiday would love to come back next year!
Michelle from Coalville (08 August 2014)

We enjoyed our holiday in the peace and quiet of the yorkshire dales.
Cindy from Gosport (02 August 2014)

The location of the cottages was beautiful and brilliant, the weather was very sunny and warm, which helped, the morning were very peaceful and watching all the birds and cattle was wonderful. The cottage was bigger than we thought it was and the 'house' was very well stocked with items which we have found other facilities did not have such as washing up liquid, black bags, toilet paper, and access the washing machines.. the swimming pool was warm and clean... I can recommend this to anyone.. you we have to have a car in this location..
David from Southend-On-Sea (26 July 2014)

Could do with a good clean up in the ceiling . and a new sofa bed .
James from Accrington (26 July 2014)

We found the location beautiful.the accomodation was comfortable and well equiped. Overall a relaxing holiday with helpful staff and beautiful surroundings.i only have one negative in that there is no private seating area outside the cottage (cherry cottage. )
Ann from Liverpool (25 July 2014)

Lovely cottage, great facilities with the swimming pool, good showers and hot tub. Games room a big hit with the children.
Moreen from Bathgate (19 July 2014)

David and judith just couldn't do enough to help us have a wonderful time in their complex of superb cottages. We had a hot tub, all mod-cons, access to a heated swimming pool, an excellent and very friendly pub, which welcomed dogs, nearby (half moon inn), spectacular views, plenty to do & see, and within walking distance of the brimham rocks park. As well as those things, only seven miles (though you may not believe it) from harrogate and knaresborough; not too far from ripon and york. we would certainly return and cannot recommend it highly enough!
Glyn from Nottingham (19 July 2014)

The cottage was pretty basic and needed a lick of paint and updated.
Laura from Glasgow (19 July 2014)

Superb
John from Ayr (18 July 2014)

Lovely place but owner quite strict with hot tubs - as others have pointed out - the hot tub police are watching
Julie (18 July 2014)

This cottage was in a beautiful location and had the potential to be wonderful. However, the cottage decor and furnishings left much to be desired. There was not one comfortable seat either inside or outside the cottage, and all of the fixtures and fittings were dated.
Christine from Cumbria (12 July 2014)

A lovely spot for a break. Stayed in maple and a totally relaxing weekend was delivered. Ideal location for north yorkshire.
Robert from Solihull (30 June 2014)

Excellent clean accommodation, bed soooo comfy. Hot tub glorious, all that we needed. dogs loved the walks, beautiful location.
Melanie from Saxilby (28 June 2014)

Loved the cottage and hot tub got a lovely welcome wished there was a place nearer for food
William from Falkirk (28 June 2014)

Lovely well-equipped cottage. location good for sightseeing, but have to travel by car to shops or pub. Great swimming pool
Helen from Nottingham (28 June 2014)

Leslie from Newark (23 June 2014)

Lovely area, surrounded by open fields and lovely views. Owners were there to greet us on our arrival and introduce themselves. Full explanation of the property and site, including swimming pool, games room and hot tub. There are extra facilities for washing and drying clothes and a large chest freezer for communal use should you take a lot of frozen food with you. . we were then left alone to enjoy our holiday, which we appreciated. We took two large dogs with us and we went out walking every day we were there. The outside space at the rear of our cottage was secure and allowed the dogs to lay outside with us on an evening after a long days walking whilst we were enjoying the hot tub. We had a very enjoyable stay at brimham rocks and wouldn't hesitate to recommend, i'm sure we will return.
Carly from Hull (20 June 2014)

The setting was great and the facilities, especially for the children, were as good as we've seen. . however, we were not made to feel very welcome by the staff. Considering it caters for children, my family and the other family we were staying with were made to feel the children were a hinderance. We had comments about a child's bike been left outside our front door and the fact that they were playing in a bedroom close to a window (when we had an adult upstairs watching them). on the sunday we used the hot tub outside, and didn't see where the instructions were to remove the cover (it happened to be inside the pool area and not at the hot tub itself). when my wife and the other mother was using it, the owner rushed up to them and told them to get straight out while he fixes the cover by putting it onto the beam. They felt threatened by his tone of voice, and were also left standing out in the cold while he sorted the cover out. I feel it could've been dealt with better by him. We were actually booked in to stay the sunday night as well, but left on the sunday morning due to all of this, and were too 'scared' to do anything wrong again!!!!
