Basic and clean accommodation but disappointed that our lodge overlooked a local authority housing estate, not worth the money

Had an excellent break with my family at the holiday park. Cabins were excellent apart from the feature windows on roof that werent cleaned as it would have been amazing to gaze at the night stars. We are already looking at booking again later in the year.

A great lodge. The only issue we had was the tv and the outside light didn’t work. Although the men came promptly and tried to fix the issue we continued with no tv and outside light which was dangerous getting out the hot-tub all weekend. No one got injured which was a bonus I would highly recommend this park.

My wife and I have been to blairgowrie a lot over the last few years. This time we went for a break over the christmas week, mainly for the peace and quiet. We usually take out a lodge but this time went for a caravan and it was great. We actually found the caravan to be more comfortable than the lodge. We will certainly rent a caravan again. Although we kept fairly local this time, there is plenty to do in the area when things start opening again. We have been going for years and still haven't seen everything there is to see or done everything there is to do.

Cold kitchen/ living area. Complained on first day and was told would be fixed whilst out next day. Helpful member of staff brought a little heater to help on 2nd day before we went out. Whilst out a letter was left to pop into the office if another heater was needed but couldn't due to being out all day and office closes at 5pm. Tried to complain on leaving but comments were just brushed off. Never again as the cot they gave us would only fit in the living room and the 10 month old baby would of been cold. It's took us over a week to get her back into routine once home.

We took the opportunity to get 8 of our immediate family together to enjoy a bit of time in a hot tub lodge at the park. we had minimal contact with the staff but when we did they were extremely helpful and informative. the lodge itself was excellent and had a large hot tub capable of taking all of our party. the tub itself was checked twice a day by staff. Having decided from the start that we were going to buy in our evening meals each of our 4 nights, there is a great choice of outlets in blairgowrie and we had plenty of options to choose. all of the choices we made were to a good standard and we enjoyed the local takeaways. . overall we achieved what we set out to achieve which was to have 4 nights away as a family and combine some fun with some nice food and a little bit of luxury with the use of the hot tub. . i’d recommend this type of stay at the park to anyone.

We stayed in the larches deluxe lodge, sleeping 8 with hot tub, the lodge it's self was amazing, we visited for a girly birthday weekend. the helpfulness of the staff was second to none, from check in to being helped to our lodge with our bags after being dropped at reception, nothing was too much hassle. . hot tub was checked twice daily which didn't happen in other lodges that I have visited with hot tubs. . will definitely visit again, my only recommendation would be to fit some anti slip matting near the hot tub, the decking gets extremely slippy and even with shoes on it doesn't prevent slipping.

Lovely site and caravan fantastic
Diane from Oldham (26 August 2017)

Clean, quite & friendly staff
Steven from Lockerbie (28 July 2017)

The surroundings the park and lodge are kept spotless, staff are really friendly. Although I would grumble that at the back of the swing park & where our lodge was there is a tractor path which isn't very safe as they use it as a dumping ground. Not ideal if your in that lodge and your child is running to the park they could be knocked down with the tractor if both didn't notice. Maybe would be good if could have some entertainment on site but all in all a quiet relaxing place with blairgowrie a 10min walk. Used one of the sister parks while there but very disappointed as wasn't much init at all.
Michelle from Glasgow (10 July 2017)

Excellent location, ten minutes walk into town with plenty of restaurants and bars. Glen clova is ideal for a couple with two children, but not for four adults as the second bedroom was very small. The ensuite off the main bedroom was very tiny and quite clostrofobic. Other than that it was a most enjoyable holiday and the reception staff were most helpful.
Peter from Preston (08 July 2017)

Beautiful, modern, spacious caravan. Very cosy on wet nights in. Ideal caravan park if you want a relaxing break & a good base for perth & dundee. Staff very friendly.
Mo from Ellesmere Port (30 June 2017)

We had a great time at the lodge, two granddaughters aged 3 and 6 loved it. Staff very helpful and knolagable about the surrounding areas. Thanks blairgowrie holiday park.
Lee from Inverkeithing, Fife (29 June 2017)

Everything was ready for our arrival and the welcome pack was a delightful surprise. it was so good to be able to have a cup of tea as soon as we moved in. the staff were great and very helpful. we were only 5 minutes walk from the local shops and the town had everything we needed. the cabin was wonderful and had everything for full self catering. we would recommend this site undeservedly
David from Leek Staffordshire (23 June 2017)

Beautiful park lodge was just perfection. Great base for touring the surrounding areas. Hotub was fab to come home to and relax after a busy day. Will definitely be back to stay again soon.
Gail from East Ayrshire (19 June 2017)

Holiday park spotless and in middle of every place you want to visit
Thomas from Formby Liverpool (17 June 2017)

Stayed in the skyline with the hot tub for 5 nights. It was ok. The place was pretty well appointed and everything worked. Personally I would have shoe horned a bigger bed into the double room (but then I am a big lad (6,5" and 16 stone). . other than that it was as described
Ruth from Bucks (13 June 2017)

This is a lovely quiet park. the caravan was lovely and everything looked brand new and very clean. we knew that we would be arriving after reception had closed and advised the holiday park beforehand. on site security were only a call away and came to the caravan to check us in not long after our arrival. there was some confusion on arrival as we had booked for our dogs to stay but the caravan said no pets. this issue was quickly resolved and we were allowed to stay in the allocated caravan. the staff were extremely helpful and after a very long drive that day it was nice to relax in the caravan. the heating was on before we arrived so it was already lovely and toasty inside. if I needed to stay in the area again I would definitely book to stay here.
Victoria (15 May 2017)

Perfect
Carol from Edinburgh (13 May 2017)

All male groups in lodges next to ours. Plenty of alcohol being drunk causing a lot of noise and bad language in afternoons and early evening. Wouldn't book blairgowrie site again. . be surprised if I get any response to comments
Robert from Newcastle Upon Tyne (09 May 2017)

Wonderful location very central for touring the area great for golf and fishing if desired would do it again without doubt.
Ian from Ellon (01 May 2017)

The perfect base for exploring the surrounding area, the staff were polite and helpful with questions about the area, caravan was ideal and the dog walk was a good idea.
William from Scottish Borders (14 April 2017)

Fantastic park. Spotlessly clean, staff friendly and knowledgeable. Great for a quiet break away.
Kerry from Doncaster (31 March 2017)

Lovely holiday park and great accommodation. The staff and locals are very friendly and welcoming. Everything on your doorstep and lots to do in blairgowrie and surrounding area. Would highly recommend blairgowrie holiday park. Can't wait to go again!

Susan from Airdrie (30 January 2017)

Absolutely amazing weekend had by all of us. The staff were very friendly & helpful, the location was perfect & the lodge was spot on. We'll all 100% be back & couldn't recommend this park highly enough!!
Vicki (15 January 2017)

We stayed in the larches for christmas and can't thank the team at blairgowrie enough, the lodge was a lot bigger than we thought , in a beautiful location and can safely say we had the best time, quiet and peaceful - the hot tub was checked twice daily, and the staff were also so helpful and pleasant, informative and couldn't do enough for us. The lodge itself had everything we needed, complimentary toiletries, iron, vac, hairdryer and wifi which was great and always worked for us. Brilliant
Lisa from Midlands (27 December 2016)

First time there , defo enjoyed it , will be back in future
Scott from Stirling (23 September 2016)

George (17 September 2016)

Stayed at this park many many times over the years ,the manager and staff are fantastic will always look after you and sort any problems really quick if you have any not that we have. The hot tub is a great addition to the log cabins and the chap who looks after the tubs 10 out of 10 for him and the whole site would recommend park to everyone. Norman
Norman from Aylesbury (10 September 2016)

Due to location of site we found it to be a little too far away from tourist attractions we wanted to visit. Also accomodation was not up to standard.
Peter from Mold (13 August 2016)

Excellent park if you desire peace and quiet, comfortable lodges with kids play areas.
Robert from South Ockendon (06 August 2016)

Absolutely superb (bar the weather!) and will come back. I have recommended the site and facilities all of which were 1st class
Kevin from Dunfermline (12 July 2016)

Good base to explore. Caravan was clean and modern.
Sheena from New Cumnock (09 July 2016)

This was a brilliant holiday. We went with our daughter her husband and three granddaughters. Expected to be a bit of a squeeze but plenty of room, and the hot tub helped with kids all day and night. There is no bar on site, again a bit disappointed, but it is so close to bars, restaurants, shops etc it did not matter, in fact it kept the site quiet at night. We were so well looked after by all the staff who were very pleasant and helpful. The place was immaculate and well decorated to accommodate eight people from kitchen utensils to dinner table and toilets. Luxury. It was slightly expensive for a week but cant complain. We just loved everything with no complaints at all. So much so we booked for next year before we left. Just need to save the money now..
John from Irvine (01 July 2016)

The chalet was very clean and really comfortable, the site was very well maintained and set with a nice back drop.the hot tub was great and maintained to a high standard by the site staff.nothing negative to say about the accommodation or site.10/10.
Julie from Wood Bridge Suffolk (13 June 2016)

A really nice caravan, only fault was double bed was hard as we're the pillows. Nice walk for the dog. Have booked for next year.
Maureen from Buckie (21 May 2016)

Loved f3 which we stayed in as we felt it was reasonably private. was brilliant that the van was fenced in from the entrance door as we had a young dog with us so it meant we did not have to worry about him running away. the picnic tables were obviously hand made and of very good quality. . the caravan was of really good quality, contained everything you could need and most important was spotless.
Amanda from Aberdeen (07 May 2016)

We had a great weeks holiday and would stay hear again.with having our dog we found a couple of hotels that allowed dogs into the bar so we could have a meal.there are nice walks you can go on and pitlochary is 40 mins away.the lodge was nice and clean.it was good there was a gate so the dog could sit out on the decking.staff were very friendly.i would recommend staying hear as you have a quite caravan park with the town just outside.
Alan from Edinburgh (29 April 2016)

Been here twice now, lovely clean site and log cabins were very well kept, was a little sad when one of the site workers told me to not let my dog pee on the grass because it damages it!! I think if your not a dog friendly site don't allow dogs there! that's the only thing that disappointed my visit I would defiantly go back but maybe not with the dog
Nicola from Aberdeen (18 March 2016)

Doreen from Aberdeen (03 January 2016)

It was a great break away for the weekend, the hot tub was great! the lodge was really nice also
Wendy (07 December 2015)

Good site and well-equipped lodge. Parking arrangements are not clearly marked for lodges and as a result we had difficulties parking as the adjacent lodge seemed to have two vehicles using the space allocated for our lodge although there was no signage to this effect.
Steve from Oxford (30 November 2015)

Nice lodge, lovely staff, just a bit far to go to shops etc
Marjorie from Thurso (17 October 2015)

Beautiful, clean, quiet with fun for the kids. . all the staff are very helpful and polite. . I would definitely return.
Claire (17 October 2015)

Cracking park, spotlessly clean and well maintained with pleasant and helpful staff. Caravan was modern, spotless and very comfortable. Central heating in caravan was very welcome. The park was well located with the town centre a pleasant 10-15 walk away and lots of attractions within 1/2 hour drive. No club or swimming pool on site but we were looking for neither these amenities. There are 2 play parks on site for children. We enjoyed a mid week short break and visited scone palace and discovery in dundee which were both fantastic and under 1hour drive from the park.
Gordon from Glasgow (16 October 2015)

Site was well kept and staff very friendly. The caravan was first rate and spotlessly clean.
Godfrey from Falkirk (25 September 2015)

Amazing weekend away. lodge was stunning and hot tub was perfect. will definitely be back here in the future.
Shannon (21 September 2015)

Park is very clean and nice and quiet. conveniently situated for shopping/eating in blairgowrie and sightseeing in all directions. staff very helpful - I had problem connecting with wifi and kevin was able to show me how to get connected.
Wendy from Newcastle, Co Down (19 September 2015)

The best holiday caravan we have stayed in. It was actually better than many lodges in other parks. . everyone of the park staff went about their jobs with a smile on their face, and nothing was too difficult for them.
Joe from Whitby (12 September 2015)

We stayed for a week while visiting family in perth and dundee so it was the ideal location for us. The park was spotless, very peaceful and the surroundings are very pretty and scenic. We stayed in the glenshee caravan and it was fantastic. We absolutely loved staying here and have already booked again for next year.
Lee from Redditch (11 September 2015)

Our holiday was amazing. The caravan site was very peaceful and clean. The surrounding area was lovely. The staff were friendly and helpful. We would recommend this caravan site to our friends and family. on a negative point blairgowrie was a little far out for some parts of scotland.
Janet from Redcar (29 August 2015)

Lovely lodge. clean and we'll kitted out throughout.
Andrew from Leyland (29 August 2015)

Spent a lot of time travelling the area but the small amount of time at the park was fine as was the caravan.
Confirmed Holidaymaker (28 August 2015)

Diane from Aidrie (29 June 2015)

If you want a nice peaceful holiday blairgowrie holiday park is the place to go. No club or shop but there is a co-op just outside the park. Just spent a week there with my family. Friendly staff and plenty of places to eat in blairgowrie just minutes away. Not much for kids but an adventure park in stanley about 30 mins away and indoor play area and go karting in perth where we took out 3 year old grandson.
Edward from Lanarkshire (27 June 2015)

The park was beautiful, probably the best we've stayed in, and my 4 year daughter loved the 2 parks on site. We saw loads of different birds from our cabin, and rabbits.the houses surrounding the park were off putting, but we had no problems and the staff in the local off site shop were very friendly. I'd definitely recommed the holiday park to others
Heather from Leeds (20 June 2015)

Stayed in a deluxe lodge which had everything you could possibly need for a self-catering holiday including washing machine and dishwasher. The lodge was spotlessly clean and the outdoor hottub was the icing on the cake. Would have no hesitation in recommending to others.

Our first experience of a lodge holiday was at kippford holiday park in november. The park was beautiful and the lodge and hot tub were spacious and luxurious. Your prices at blairgowrie are roughly the same as kippford but the lodges are half the size as is the hot tub. The location is in the middle of a council housing estate and doesn't have the same feel as other parks. . the hot tub maintenance team were intrusive, at kippford we didn't see or hear anyone but we had the same level of service. For the price we paid I expected luxury and at best got standard accomodation and service

Quaint little village with lots to do, really nice surroundings. . the staff kept meeting on our porch for some reason and the guys maintaining the hot tub were round every hour or two to do tests, we had to get out for them to add chemicals then wait half an hour to get back in then they. Quite inconvenient.

A warm cosy lodge in a beautifully landscaped park. we did have some minor issues - such as finding the lodge from the site map, which was quite inaccurate - and the insistence on providing a credit card number on arriva outsidel in the dark and cold, when we could have sorted it out next morning in the office. however the stay itself was perfect.

We were only in the caravan for a short time till we were upgraded to a rowan lodge. But the caravan was rated as above.

My wife and I both enjoy lodge holidays in peaceful surroundings and blairgowrie fits the bill perfectly for us. There is also plenty to do in the area within short driving distances, and lovely walking areas in the immediate vicinity as well. We both like the town of blairgowrie very much, and we always make sure to visit both it and perth when we are there. We have been to this park on numerous occasions now and it is still our first choice for a holiday destination.

Zoe from Ellon (18 October 2014)

Holiday was great with the girls to celebrate my 30th birthday. Although neighbours had complained about being 8 of us when there was only 7 of us with one of the girls going back home to perth early hours in the morning after our night out. Also advised that we were smoking in lodge which was untrue as we were outside. Very poor lighting in area very dark.

The only thing that really could have been better was the wifi service only allowing one device to be logged on at any one time, other than that it was great.

Lovely place to stay, very peaceful and quiet.
Nichola from Tranent (15 September 2014)

The caravan was situated in an ideal setting. The site was central to many interesting places. The receptionist was very pleasant and helpful.
Patricia from Necton (13 September 2014)

Just what we like, a quiet secluded holiday lodge, away fromit all, but within easy distance of towns, cities, countryside pursuits. Just loved the lodge we stayed in, a bit pricey, but out of this world living standards.
Vincent from Cumbernauld (12 September 2014)

You need a car if you want to explore the surrounding area
Graham (01 September 2014)

Freezer/fridge wasn't switched on for us arriving, this then took ages to reach desired temperature
Laura (01 September 2014)

Lovely lodge. Love the hot tub.
Paul from Jarrow (25 August 2014)

My biggest issue was the wifi, not powerful enough and can only be used by one person. No good for todays technology
Stuart from Preston (19 August 2014)

This was a great park.my son loved the playground and big slide. The laundry room was a great help and well equipped. caravan was the best we had stayed in.
Jane from Luton (02 August 2014)

Our family enjoyed a great holiday at blairgowrie, our 3yr old daughter particularly enjoyed the play parks. Staff were very helpful recommending days out.
David from Irvine (26 July 2014)

Excellent holiday
Steve from Whitburn West Lothian (28 June 2014)

Excellent site
Bob from Fife (04 June 2014)

A good central point from which to visit the sights locally and further away. A number of restaurants within walking distance in town to suit different budgets, little's is very good but pricy.
Iain from Milton Keynes (24 May 2014)
