Excellent lodge, very clean and well fitted out with everything we needed. Hot tub was excellent. Decking area was slippery due to it requiring a power wash. Big disappointment with lack of wifi. As there is no mobile signal in the park, wifi is essential and in this day and age it is expected. During our stay the service wasn't available at all.
John from Durham (07 October 2016)

Excellent surroundings, it is very apparent that alot of thought has gone into the planning of the site. the lodge had everything we needed, but was indeed of some updating, just alittle "tired" but nothing bad enough to spoil our stay, we will be going back
Jane from Scunthorpe (07 October 2016)

Had a wonderful time here, lovely surroundings beautiful lodge well laid out. Couldn't ask for more
John from Ramsey St. Marys (03 October 2016)

We had a fantastic stay in a beautifully decorated lodge. Would definitely stay again.
Alice from Halesowen (03 October 2016)

Lovely little lodge . enjoyed my stay . every where was immaculately clean
Riahannon from Manchester (03 October 2016)

Very surprised with the size and quality of the lodge. Brilliant value for the money for when we went. I didn't make use of site facilities but a more busy and cosy feeling bar may have tempted me for a pint.
Graham from London (30 September 2016)

Nice and clean very spacious.
Richard from Chinley Derbyshire (30 September 2016)

Tranquil, relaxing and restful. Would like to stay for a full seven days, to really get the benefit of the relaxing.
Lesley from Cheshunt (30 September 2016)

Fantastic hiday for my wife's 40th birthday
Ron from Wakefield (26 September 2016)

Amazing thanks - our second time and we'll be back
Carolyn (26 September 2016)

Booking lacked full information and gave the impression all lodges came with hot tubs. Was disappointing to find our lodge didn't come with one.
Jennifer (26 September 2016)

This is second visit in two years to bainland, last year there were signs advising club house being refurbished in the winter but we were disappointed to see no signs of this being done on this year's visit. . stayed in same cabin again which was good but disappointed with black mould in both showers! . . staff could have been more welcoming & friendly. . club house seems to be a missed opportunity in our opinion. . . having said all the above we will be going back next year but might try a newer cabin.
Andrew from Dereham Norfolk (23 September 2016)

We went in september and the park was quiet which suited us. Grounds were very neat and the studio we stayed in was very clean and tidy. Would recommend for a stay if using as a base and travelling out and about.
Julie from Southend (23 September 2016)

Nice lodge. Instructions for appliances would have been helpful
David from Derby (23 September 2016)

Loved the cabin. It was unfortunate that in an place that provided so many pet friendly cabins, that we could not use the facilities on site (bar, resteraunt etc) as they didn't allow dogs. The pub in the local village was lovely however. . staff weren't always that polite, we were often left feeling as though we were a hinderance for asking for anything. The staff member who run the archery was fab, very accommodating and professional. . the woods around the cabins were quite hazardous. A lot of broken glass and hidden barbed wire, there was a lovely wood further in the village though. . the cabin was lovely. Couldn't ask for more. . overall we enjoyed the holiday but we wouldn't go back and I wouldn't recommend it to family and friends.
Louise from Barnsley (23 September 2016)

Ideal location and excellent accommodation. Everything we needed. Will book again.
Nadia (23 September 2016)

Excellent facilities for all the family, staff extremely pleasant and helpful.
Godfey (23 September 2016)

The location is lovely and it was our second time at bainland. We decided to stay in one of the private more expensive lodges but we was disappointed the lodge. The lodge was dirty and in need of redecoration.
Confirmed Holidaymaker (23 September 2016)

Lovely location and setting , village has most things you would need but many places near you can go to by car
Margaret from Gatesheaf (23 September 2016)

Great stay would stay again, hot tub area and cabin was lovely. Few minor problems in cabin nothing major and didnt effect the stay. Had a lovely weekend, would recomend.
Elysia from Mansfield (19 September 2016)

Great place to stay and very relaxing will be back again soon
Paul from Gloucester (19 September 2016)

Beautiful lodge, beautiful location, everything you need for a break ! we went on a girls weekend, 7 of us happily spent the weekend in the hot tub and relaxing in the lodge .. perfect escape !! pictures don't really do the lodge justice, was bigger than it looked and immaculate throughout... none of us wanted to leave !
Allana from Lincoln (19 September 2016)

The cabin could have been a bit cleaner and the hot tub was quite small for 8 people
Jayne from Sheffield (19 September 2016)

Great time very quite and relaxing could do with more patio furniture as the lodge was for eight people and seating for only four & a barbeque would have been a bonus as we did buy disposal ones which aren't the same and did this two evenings as we are a family group with dogs
Sandy from Norfolk (16 September 2016)

The bungalow was modern, up-to-date and very comfortable. I had a relaxing and peaceful stay. The staff were all helpful and friendly. The bar serves starbucks coffee and there is a spacious garden to sit in. What a lovely and well tended park! I am definitely intending to return.
John from Bury St Edmunds (16 September 2016)

Amazing holiday in an amazing lodge. Will defiantly be going back. Had a fabulous time.
Charlotte from Hertfordshire (16 September 2016)

Fantastic holiday!
Jane (16 September 2016)

Was expecting the bar to serve meals on an evening as the brochure advised this facility was available.
Jan from Leeds (16 September 2016)

Loved the lodge well.equipped and comfortable . took the dog lots of open spaces for him
Gail from Runcorn (16 September 2016)

Dog-friendly cabins but not a dog-friendly site. Needs to decide if it is for dogs or not.
Neil from Darlington (16 September 2016)

Fantastic break lovely lodges great for along or short break
Frank from Aylesbury (12 September 2016)

Stayed for 3 nights
Edita from Grays (12 September 2016)

Unfortunately the bungalow looked a bit "tired" and in view of redecorating and updating. Everything else was fine, we didn't use any of the facilities. Staff at reception desk were very friendly.
Ann from Leicester (09 September 2016)

Very quite peaceful holiday in beautiful surroundings. Late booking made it good value.
Barry from Essex (09 September 2016)

Lovely break at bainland, clean spacious lodge beautiful surroundings and friendly staff. Good location for trips to lincoln and the coastal resorts only 30 mins commute. Will visit again.
Lee from Barnsley (09 September 2016)

Lovely and private. Well kept and clean. Very relaxing with activities if you want things to do. Close enough to the coast for alternative days out.
Teresa from Telford (09 September 2016)

Pleasantly surprised by the location, really worth a look. Lodges great, clean and modern, hot tub a great addition
Sarah from Lichfield (02 September 2016)

Lovely relaxing break with good facilities
Laura from Bridgnorth (02 September 2016)

Fantastic lodge and nice quiet park. Good facilities for 2 teenagers- enjoyed the pool table and table tennis each night in the bar area and the archery and fencing
Linda from Oldham (02 September 2016)

Lots of activities to do on site and not too far from little town which was a nice afternoon outing great for dogs too would stay again :)
Ami from Brierley Hill (29 August 2016)

A lovely holiday park, with plenty of sporting facilities. Very peaceful and relaxing
Craig (29 August 2016)

Perfect totally relaxing break - very quiet site despite all facilities and available activities. Lodge fully equipped and very spacious - photos don't do lodge justice! . covered hot tub could've enhanced the weekend - we had typical english weather!
Kim from Kettering (29 August 2016)

Pity that they have decided to lose the golf facilities. Staff were a credit always polite, helpful, pleasant and great ambassadors. Well done. The lodge we had is getting tired however had everything we needed except towel rails. We managed. Food services needs to be looked at to offer a greater selection.
Geraldine from Haverhill Suffolk (29 August 2016)

The lodge was excellent, as we're the activities and activity staff, other than the golf course which is very poorly kept. The grounds are generally well tended and are spacious and relaxed. However, a myxomatosis outbreak in the many rabbits meant that suffering, affected rabbits were commonplace, and the smell of dead rabbits also common. The bar and pool are are dated and would benefit from redecoration. However, I cannot fault the accommodation, which is modern, clean and well appointed, and the atmosphere of the site is very relaxing. We had a wonderful holiday.
Keith from Ross On Wye (29 August 2016)

We had a great time & would definitely be back. The only two suggestions for improvement I would make was that the fence carries on a bit between kingerby and kirton to ensure complete privacy, and the cushions for the outside seating are put inside as on arrival they were soaking wet from the rain & we were unable to use them for some time. Lovely accommodation & will be back without a doubt!
Denise from Cambridge (22 August 2016)

Beautiful lodge fantastic hot tub good facilities a few could do with modernising but park having a revamp and so far is looking good
Wendy from Walsall (22 August 2016)

The lodge was fine, bedrooms ample room,it needed more casual seating for 8 people also more garden seating and maybe table and chairs, there was no hot food, it could do with a bistro/cafe, dishwasher didn't clean properly..the whole area had a neglected feel to it.
Ernest from Lincolnshire (15 August 2016)

We enjoyed our stay, however there was very little for adults to do.
Julia from Allestree Derby (15 August 2016)

Great pitch with lots of space and the garden was an added bonus. The den was also fab. The kitchen was a bit dark though and we asked for replacement bulbs for the ones that had blown..didn't happen whilst we were there! we couldn't book on the archery as a family of 10 which was a shame. . needed to have some more outdoor furniture with a nice big table so all the family could sit outside and eat at a table. Need blackout blind in rooms and a fan in the den upstairs..it got very hot!
Juliette from Leicestershire (15 August 2016)

A great place for a family break. . . some of the accomdation is starting to creek a little, but there is plenty of new cabins. The centre hub needs some tlc and would benifit from serving hot food. Also there is little control on parking. There is ample hard standing parking yet cars are often parked on grass areas preventing children playing and encroaching on personal space
Nick from Tewkesbury (15 August 2016)

Fantastic lodge. Clean modern and great value for money! the only 1 thing was the bunk bed in the middle room was very squeaky and loud. Great facilities and park. I would definatly stay again :)
Eleanor from Leeds (15 August 2016)

Terrible place . bad advertising . no wifi or phone signal. Limited activities on and off site. Rude staff . no understanding of customer service . run down reception area and false representation of surrounding facilities . never go back again
Neera (12 August 2016)

We had a wonderful time, very clean chalet and comfy bed, kitchen had all you needed to cook a meal, living room a bit tired but clean, a good base to explore the area, very quiet at night time which was nice, dogs were welcome but had no area to run around. The staff were most helpful and had a smile for you what ever time you went to reception.
Carol-Ann from Isle Of Anglesey (12 August 2016)

The lodge was beautiful and very clean but we asked for a lodge with wifi which this lodge was advised to have and even double checked when booking up. We spent the whole stay with no internet connection which was very dissapointing especially with 2 teenage boys.
Natalie (12 August 2016)

Really basic lodge looked like it was falling apart with condemned gas fire in living room. Leaking fridge in kitchen and basic shower. Overall accommodation was like living in a grotty student flat. Woodhall spa area beautiful. But the site is now being upgraded with a way still to go.
Sam (12 August 2016)

We had a brilliant family break
Rachel from Burnley (12 August 2016)

Great holiday apart from 2 issues. We hired bikes and my son fell off his as the steering column had not been tightened. Then a day before we left I tripped and broke my elbow. No real assistance to get me to hospital other than calling a cab knowing I was on my own with 4 children..that was disappointing
Andrea from Norwich (12 August 2016)

We had a wonderful time and the lodge exceeded our expectations. Will definitely visit again.
Suzanne from Reading, Berkshire (08 August 2016)

We stayed in spilsby bungalow for a family weekend. Lovely surroundings and great location but i'd never stay in that bungalow again. There had obviously been some efforts to bring the bungalow up-to-date ie. New floors throughout and new worktops in the kitchen. However, the bathroom was appalling, it looked old, was covered in mould and was passed being able to clean. There was no chance my young children were going to have a bath in it as it looked so unhygienic and I could barely bring myself to step in to have a shower. The hot water was dangerous and I scalded my hands in the kitchen and the rest of me in the shower. I find it hard to believe that hoseasons have ever inspected that bungalow and feel sick at how much we paid to stay there! the bedrooms were fine and so was the lounge, but we were all grateful of the warm weather because we sat outside in the evenings - the sofa was dilapidated and hugely uncomfortable. . . onsite we used the kids play park which was nice. We played table tennis in the tired clubhouse. The pool was warm but again, seriously needs updating, especially the changing areas and shower. I showered after swimming but it seemed to take half an hour to get hot water, maybe because the hot water was all held at the bungalow! needless to say, I didn't feel particularly clean after showering and if i'd stayed longer than a weekend, probably would've paid to go to a local pool just to use the shower!. . the location of the lodges was the best thing going for it and we had a fantastic time at nearby tattershall castle.
Jo from Hertfordshire (08 August 2016)

Wasn't thoroughly cleaned. Cobwebs on walls and behind beds. Spiders in all corners. However the accommodation was modern spacious just need to be cleaned to a higher standard.
Paul from Worksop (08 August 2016)

Hot tubs a must. Loved the small friendly atmosphere. Had a great weekend. Highly recommended.
Marjorie from Newmarket (08 August 2016)

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. it was a long way to travel for us, but once we were there, we were happy. . some of the facilities were looking a bit tired but the only criticism would be that the beach volleyball sand had loads of stones in it, so was quite uncomfortable.
Jason (08 August 2016)

We all really enjoyed bainland lodges (pointon lodge) it was very new and very clean. Decorated to a very high standard. Although there is building work around the site this will make bainland holiday park bigger and better. The site is being upgraded so we hope to return again.
Graham from Hessle (08 August 2016)

Hot tub .. yeah!
Nicholas (05 August 2016)

Lovely lodge in a really peaceful setting and very relaxing. will be even better when the renovations have been completed. not sure if we would pay full price, but the price we paid was excellent value.
Mark from Southampton (05 August 2016)

Had a lovely week with the family. Included activities were a welcome surprise and the lodge was comfortable and spacious. Would come back again.
David from South East London (05 August 2016)

Fantastic location very relaxed and a great way to try new activities as a family. Would definitely recommend.
Debra from Ongar (05 August 2016)

Well laid out park. Lodges not too close together. Good facilities to keep us entertained over a mid week stay. Lots to do locally. Friendly staff. Would have been nice to have more than milk for sale in the on site shop though.
Andrew from Leeds (05 August 2016)

Lovely area. Lots of rabbits happily playing around. Pleasant walks on doorstep for dogs. . activities (archery, fencing, water walkers) fab- staff very friendly. . swimming pool needs a refurb, especially changing rooms. . . never used bar area as but run down and in need of a refurb. . . . play park- not really suitable for toddlers- no swings . . lodge was lovely. No bath for my 4 month baby so staff kindly bought a baby bath for us to use in the shower. As weather was lovely we used it in the balcony!
Emma from South Shields (05 August 2016)

Absolutely the worst place I have ever been it was a building site just outside the lodge the noise levels off the workmen were unbelievable it was supposed to be a relaxing break for two just after we were married i've never felt so uncomfortable ever in my life before the hot tub couldn't be used as there were workmen walking round they are not at all private
Amanda from York (05 August 2016)

Booked bainland lodges for a summer holiday weekend as we couldn't get a full holiday abroad this year. usually we go to lodges in york as it is close by but we fancied a change and hoped that a bit further south would promise better weather. . the location was a little harder to reach from the a1 than we had expected so we may not have booked if I had looked at google maps, the children aren't great at long car journeys however it was worth it in the end. The park itself is lovely. it definitely needs some updating, particularly the clubhouse and especially the swimming pool, but otherwise the cabins, the play area, the grounds and the golf course were beautiful, well maintained and mainly for us - secure. we were confident for our children to play outside and scoot up and down to the play area safely. . there were no problems with noise from other holiday makers which has happened often at other parks. But the one thing that made the weekend for us was the staff and the children's entertainment. we tried archery, fencing and water walkers. the staff on all occasions were friendly and patient with our girls. especially with the lady who ran our archery with dark hair. the girls loved her, i'm just sorry we didn't catch her name. . overall the lodges were nicely decorated and comfortable, the hot tub was lovely and privacy was good. we would definitely stay at bainland again, but maybe when the girls are better at long journeys.
Louise from There Were No Problems With Noise From Other Holid (01 August 2016)

Lovely location. Great lodge and hot tub. Very clean and spacious. Friendly staff.
Graeme from Birmingham (01 August 2016)

Just nothing for grandkids to do
Lorraine from Scunthorpe (01 August 2016)

We took our dog and was disappointed that we couldn't take her in the clubhouse for drink which we thought was a let down as most of the accommodation were dog friendly.
Simon from Leicester (01 August 2016)

We stayed in the lincoln lodge for my 40th birthday. The lodge was amazing and the hot tub was well used by all.
John from Hampshire (01 August 2016)

I did not waste my camera on taking any photos the bungalow was nothing like the picture it was old run down . it was a last minute booking as my partner was going in hospital the weekend after . what a waste of money
Beverley from Normanton (01 August 2016)

The lodge was lovely. Appreciated the ceiling fan with the weather being so hot. Great facilities and the activities on offer were brilliant.
Carolyn from Bourne (29 July 2016)

Lodge was absolutely lovely clean well equipped and totally private but the actual park was dated and the cafe was grubby so steered clear
Mark from Birmingham (29 July 2016)

We stayed here for four nights and when we arrived and checked in, we were given an upgrade from a bungalow to a lodge with hot tub. it was a pleasant bonus. very tranquil setting and accommodation was really good, clean and comfortable. will defintely come again.
Deborah from Great Yarmouth (29 July 2016)

Lovely location, clean and peaceful. The site itself was nice but could have done with a little shop to be able to buy basics and maybe something planned for evenings to bring families together. only a coffee shop for food and rereshments, it would have been nice to not leave every night for a meal. . archery was good fun, my children booked in for water walking and just got a 5 minute go each. no second go, being told other people were waiting, they were not. . accomodation was lovely bar the beds, so hard, so I slept on the sofa. the park had obviously bought orthopedic mattresses but I would question the quality, no one slept much in our party of 5. Overall, lovely clean park with smart accomodation. beds far too hard but the park made a good base, as there wasnt anything to really do on site, even eating.
Natasha from Bedford (29 July 2016)

Lovely nice, quiet and relaxing just what we were looking for.
Stephen from Tamworth (29 July 2016)

Fab accomodation but rude receptionist and bar staff. . I wanted to book a week in september for an elderly relative who had come to visit and the receptionist told him to look online. I explained that he was 84 and didn't have the internet and she said she couldn't do anything about that. I asked force brochure and she said it was online. There was only a few people in the bar but it took ages to get served, they really didn't like serving after 7pm even though they opened till 10. the lady serving thought it was hilarious that she couldn't pull a pint and the ones she did manage were flat and undrinkable. . we didn't use the bar again after the second night as they were so rude. The bars and restaurants in woodall spacare much better . there is no shop and the coffee shop which is supposed to be starbucks??? was very expensive and poor quality
Andrea (29 July 2016)

Lovely setting for the lodges. Very quiet and relaxing. Staff very helpful, told us places to eat that would allow us to take our dog with us. Mainly the teahouse in the wood and the ebrington arms. Lovely area and plenty of places of interest within half an hour away. The place was having some new lodges built so wouldnt mind going back and staying in one of them
Christine from Southport (29 July 2016)

What an excellent choice. Never expected a holiday away from the coast would be so good. children were 100% happy and so were we
Sandra from Markfield Leicester (29 July 2016)

We love the village but it would be great if the club house could provide evening entertainment. They have a good menu in the clubhouse with starbucks refreshments. Poolside needs improving but it did the job for the little ones to have a slash. The staff were all fantastic and so kind and helpful. There is no phone signal on site (you can pay extra for wifi) but we actually enjoyed having no contact with the outside world. The park is so quiet and peaceful and all the other holiday makers were so friendly. The kids park is great for older ones but not for toddlers (no swings, etc) but then there's space for little ones to go on their bikes/scooters or play football, etc). great holiday if you want peace and quiet.
Joanne from London (29 July 2016)

We had a fabulous stay , lovely site and our lodge over looked the golf course , we came to go to cadwell park which was a shorter drive and to see the lancaster spitfire and hurricane on numerous days flying over our lodge as we had also came to look around airfields and museums in the area put the cherry on the top ,. on site facilities were great ,. I felt that in the lodge there could of been a larger frying pan we cook from scratch and love our food , we would of preferred a washing machine to a dish washer , on the day the bins got emptied a quick blast of water and a shot of disinfectant would of helped
Linda from Dereham (25 July 2016)

Bainland holiday park is a great place to stay for a family holiday. . amenities are just enough without going over the top. . lodges are nicely spaced. . I would recommend to all.
Viki from Leicestershire (22 July 2016)

We were disappointed that the bar closed at 9-30.
David from Kettering (22 July 2016)

Excellent location , nice friendly staff but maybe needs a bit of tlc- e.g. Shrubs outside our accommodation overgrown and lots of nettles. Would be good if bar served meals, even if only basic pub grub. Overall good and would go back
Carolyn from Fife (22 July 2016)

We love our lodge and especially the hot tub. The weather was fantastic so that helped. We don't normally use the kitchen facilities as we liked to eat out but the lodge was so nice and well equipped that we ate in 2 out of the 3 nights. . the kids loved the pool table and table tennis in the reception/bar area. . woodhall spa was a lovely village , we found it a rather long walk to it with 2 small children on the hottest day of the year so far. . we will be returning next year and we are already looking forward to it.
Melissa from Leicester (22 July 2016)

Very nice place. The bungalow we stayed in could have done with a bit of a refurb but in general a nice place with lovely surroundings.
Adam from Leicester (22 July 2016)

It is a lovely holiday for adults, if they want to get away from it all. If you spend your time on the phone or laptop, it is not the place for you.
Paula (22 July 2016)

Lovely holiday spoilt by the young crowd in the lodge next door. . I thought the policy was no groups of young people who did lots of shouting, not great.
Peter from Chorlton (18 July 2016)

We have stayed here for the past 5 years and it suits us as a family with a dog to stay here. they are expanding every year however the only downside is they have stopped serving food in the club house at night and there is nothing in walking distance for those who like to eat out. otherwise great holiday.
Allison from Nottingham (18 July 2016)

Absolutely loved the lodge, the family had a fabulous time. Immaculate, modern & had everything you could wish for. Even came with a house cat haha!
Nichola from Manchester (18 July 2016)

The area has a lot to offer and using bainland as a base was great. . . only thing is that there is no restaurant and limited bar facilities on site. It is a good 20 minute walk to the woodhall spa. . the area does have some lovely walks and countryside.
George from Southampton (15 July 2016)

Enjoyable 4 days spent in bungalow. Decor dated but clean and functional. Staff helpful when approached
Customer 97 (15 July 2016)

We loved our stay here, beautiful surroundings and well kept. Only downside is more needed on-site, we have a two year old, and could have done with more for him, and maybe some kind concerning entertainment, and an on-site restaurant.
Steven from Newark (15 July 2016)

Second time we have been with our dog , we love the place. Our eldest son (21)and his friend joined us for a couple of days and fell in love with the place too
Vincent from Peterborough (15 July 2016)

This was an amazing stay, stayed in the lincoln lodge and it was so great, there is a huge hot tub which seats 12, there is a pool table, a range cooker, american fridge freezer and two dishwashers, there were 14 of us so we definitely needed the dishwashers. They were even kind enough to leave tea and coffee with milk in the fridge. There is milk and bread on site for sale, reasonably priced, milk was £1 (usually people hike up prices because they can). . . the cabin was clean and little things like 2 toasters, 2 kettles, the size of the tea cups were all great, I do love my tea. . . the activities were great fun and free! we did archery, water walking and fencing, thoroughly enjoyed all of them, the instructors were all really nice and friendly. We also made use of the tennis courts and had great fun there too. The garden we had at the cabin was all cut off so no worries about the kids running off, a bbq included, so we enjoyed that too. . . the only improvement I would have is just the kids playing area is a bit small, however, I must admit my kids spent a good half an hour happily playing on what was there. Also maybe an extra towel, end up using them quite a bit getting in and out of hot tub. . an amazing stay and just a great location, about 40 minutes from skegness beach and also we went to kinema in the woods, which was also a nice experience. Additionally for those who like golf, there is a driving range close by, charge £1 for 20 balls, also great price. We would definitely come back, it was a great holiday, over too soon!
Kiran from Bromsgrove (15 July 2016)

Wonderful booked again for october
Caroline (15 July 2016)

Great clean accommodation great setting well kept park could do with swimming pool upgrade and a place that serves meals on-site.
Mark from Chesterfield (15 July 2016)

Good value for money.. location not great as not much to see or do but a nice break with a hot tub..
Clare (15 July 2016)

Lodge was lovely apart from the creaky wooden floors they were annoying very limited facilities on site
Beverley (15 July 2016)

Only downside was mattress. Very old and lumpy
Carol from Faversham (11 July 2016)

Great weekend
James from Southend On Sea Essex (11 July 2016)

Very nice lodge, clean everything you need would go again
Judith from Cambridge (11 July 2016)

Really enjoyed our weekend stay here. cabin was clean, spacious and well equipped. a few issues with some of the kitchen appliances - oven/grill didn't work too well and the fridge freezer didn't chill things so well. hot tub was great! surrounding area great for exploring. didn't use the on site facilities but it all looked good. there is virtually no mobile reception but this is fine if you want to get away from everything. top tip - bring extra towels! I would definitely stay here again.
John from Leeds (11 July 2016)

Brilliant place was so lovely. Highly recommended. Will definitely be booking again.
Jessica (11 July 2016)

Loved the accomodation & the surrounding area offers a lot for a short break. The reception staff were not really very polite or helpfull although the chap who checked our hot tub was great. The 'bistro' was also dissapointing, sarnies & soup? also wi fi wi was very hit & miss. Would definately return for the accomodation & location. If you are looking for a quiet relaxing break it's perfect with decent places to eat not far away.
Jason (11 July 2016)

The lodges were stunning, the location perfect. The little extra bits were really thoughtful. We had 3 lodges for a family party and had the most amazing weekend. The best part watching my mum and aunty street dancing with rachel from the dance studio. Thank you for making it such great memories
Jo from Doncaster (11 July 2016)

Such a stunningly beautiful place to unwind and relax. the area is full of flora & fauna creating an oasis of calm & tranquility. the lodges are immaculate and well appointed. the swimming area is a little tired & in need of updating but the pool is lovely & warm.
Paula from Manchester (08 July 2016)

Been here twice and found plenty to do on site and surrounding area. Bungalows very clean and well equipped kitchen. We have two labradors that love it here also.
Dawn from Scunthorpe (08 July 2016)

Lovely place
Diane (04 July 2016)

Nice area to visit easy reach of lincon and scegness

Ryszard from Sheffield (01 July 2016)

Fantastic holiday, quiet and peaceful lovely surroundings. staff really friendly and helpful. loved the hot tub. would definitely come again
Christina from Brigg (01 July 2016)

Lovely holiday, staff were very friendly and helpful. We would have appreciated a restaurant on site. The facilities were a little run down, but we had a great time and would return!
Jennifer (01 July 2016)

Lodges were well equipped and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful and location is great
John from Crewe (01 July 2016)

Lodges were tired and ready for updating

Been to bainlands now 3 times love woodhall spa
Phillip from Nottinghamshire (27 June 2016)

Clean beautiful restful location. accommodation had everything you could ask for.
Theresa (27 June 2016)

Wifi poor ,we didn't buy any so restricted to 15mins via cloud account.,. . the cover to hot tub fabric falling off it in to tub and no handles on it ,had to force the cover off and up getting fabric up the nails ,asked for different cover ,reply no ,new ones on order believing is seeing.,. location fantastic . lodge great . no keen on shower in ensuite water all over ,screen no sufficient .,. in door pool great . park play area good .,.
Andrew from Melton Mowbray (27 June 2016)

Only complaint is having to pay for wifi. Deplorable.
Reginald from Lincoln (27 June 2016)

Great long week weekend away - very relaxing!
Donna from Nottingham (27 June 2016)

Very nice lodge. Clean, comfortable and a peaceful location. Everything we hoped for.
Sue from Lowestoft (24 June 2016)

We all really enjoyed our stay. We all 8 of us loved every minute of it. We plan on coming back , thank you ,
Olivia from Chesterfield (20 June 2016)

Really good all round other than on out 1st night at around 6.30pm a member of staff came round to tell us our music was too loud. It was too loud I agree but the way he spoke to me was absolutely disgusting I wouldn't let someone get away with talking to me like that usually but I knew my reaction would have spoiled it for everyone else so I just turned the music off all together, even the hen party next door commented on how he spoke to me was out of order so the music couldn't have been that loud.if he was heard shouting at me over it. Complete.out of touch old man nearly ruined a wonderfully weekend
Rob from Rotherham (20 June 2016)

Needs some updating of complex but the lodges themselves are great.
Louise from Leicestershire (20 June 2016)

We stayed in one of the bungalows they are old outdated and uncomfortable. The furniture is well past its best and sitting on the chair or sofa was impossible as you ended up on the floor it was that old. the gas fire in our bungalow had been condemned yet was still on the wall covered in cobwebs. The windows were rotten and the sealed units had blown so they were all misted up. The bathroom floor had at some time been taken up and was a trip hazard. Having stayed in other lodge/bungalows as we do most times we go away there is no way these bungalows should even be being let out. They are disgrace. We will never stay here again ,. the staff on reception upon our leaving (one day early) as we couldn't stay there any longer in that unsuitable accommidaton informed us they could have changed the bed if we found that uncomfortable, but we had looked at all the bungalows around the site and they are all furnished the same old and worn out
Sandra from Northampton (20 June 2016)

We all loved it
Samantha from Thurnscoe (20 June 2016)

My husband and I stayed in june 2016, great location for getting around lincolnshire. The lodge was spotlessly clean and well fitted out. Nice quiet site and lodges are not on top of one another. Staff were very helpful, welcoming and friendly.
Margaret from Raunds, East Northants (17 June 2016)

Great midweek break. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Quiet location in a peaceful setting on the outskirts of town. Site is well designed, lodges not overlooked. Lodges have excellent facilities - home from home. One minor shortcoming - no real restaurant.
Joseph from Macclesfield (17 June 2016)

Stayed in tallington lodge just let down by small jobs been overlooked. Clock did not work, mold on silicon round base of showers, hot tub cover not secure, grandchildren could move it, lodge could have been cleaner, only a brush to sweep up could do with a vac.
Keith from Halifax (17 June 2016)

A lovely quite break, navenby lodge was great. Happy and helpful staff, a very good selection of activities, all free. Booked to go again next year.
Darrel (13 June 2016)

The grantham bungalow was ideal for our needs. Everything was clean and. Well maintained.
John from Scunthorpe (13 June 2016)

Very clean, nice, relaxing place
Becky from Kings Lynn (13 June 2016)

Four generations of our family shared this holiday. we all had an excellent time. the lodge was clean, large and comfortable and the outside space outstanding.
Janice (10 June 2016)

Need a place for families with dogs to sit indoors. Didn't like that 3 of us went and only 2 took part in the activities and couldn't repeat a activity .
Jennfer from Doncaster (03 June 2016)

Short break arrived late at night staff helpful but buying items on site very expensive accommodation needed updating rotting windows .but woodhall spa lovely place.
Deborah from Loughborough (30 May 2016)

We enjoyed our stay at our bainland lodge very much. the lodge was fully furnished with everything we needed for our stay. we were very impressed with the facilities available. we used the indoor pool and we tried our skills at archery for the first time. the instructor made it very competitive and an enjoyable hour was well spent. our stay only lasted for three days before we checked out on the fourth day. if we had longer we would have possibly sampled more of the activities on offer. we loved the hot tub! this definitely got the thumbs up from everyone! we were blessed with wonderful weather which did make for a perfect stay. we would recommend bainland lodges for a thoroughly enjoyable family break.
Wendy from Derbyshire (30 May 2016)

Very good accommodation, hot tub was clean and ready to go. Site was a bit tired and neglected but staff very good, especially the guy doing the archery.
David from Burton Upon Trent (30 May 2016)

It was lovely we will be going back next year.
Lesley from Mansfield (27 May 2016)

My friend and I booked 4 nights purely to unwind and relax so didn't make use of any of the facilities on site so I can't comment on them. . . there is wi-fi in the lodges at an extra cost (we paid £10 for 4 nights, which covered 4 devices) with excellent coverage. However, there is practically no mobile phone signal. Cue me laughing , watching two young women standing in the middle of the road shouting at their phones having located a weak signal!. . there is a notice board with local info on it in the lodge, but it would be nice to have some local takeaway menus, especially those that will deliver. . I will return next year.
Ellie from Leicester (27 May 2016)

Had a fantastic weekend. The lodge was spotless, loved the egyptian cotton sheets and the bottle of milk in the fridge was a nice touch. The hot tub went down so well that we couldn't get the kids, or the adults out of it! there wasn't an awful lot to do on site, a separate bar for the adults might be worth looking at? but woodhall spa was delightful. The weekend was very children orientated so i'd like to return with a friend so we can explore more of the area. The lodge was expensive but worth every penny and we'll be booking up next year, finances permitting! don't think we'll be having a caravan holiday again, we've now been spoilt!. there were a couple of stains on one of the sofas, that's all I can complain about and that certainly did not spoil our weekend. Well done to all!
Anne from Leicestershire (23 May 2016)

Our holiday was a little spoils by the people opposite us having a party well past 1.30 am and on sunday afternoon we were inflicted with loud club music and another party for over 4 hours. I thought this was a quiet site and i'm all for people enjoying themselves but it was just too much
