We had a fantastic time at auchenlarie. the caravan was spotless, toasty warm and had everything we needed. the staff were friendly and the location was perfect. the facilities were basic but we knew that when we booked and were not put out in the slightest. we can’t wait to return next year!
Catherine from York (03 September 2018)

Stayed in a gold caravan, beautiful views, caravan was very modern clean and comfy. A great time had by all!
Adele from Manchester (03 September 2018)

Fabulous place and plenty for kids to do. Got an amazing price for the 3 nights. The caravan was lovely and clean and the fact you only needed your own towels was even better
Joanne from Bedlington (03 September 2018)

Partially dirty in rooms, hairs in bedding, excessive dust in/on air vents, dirty cups/plates and pans. Poor food facilities on site. Everything comes with additional costs except swimming, and paid for weekend entertainment passes based on live tribute act who cancelled, so we was sat there paying for drinks with kids to get a qualified karaoke singer as tribute act cancelled, not what I paid for. No refund offered.
Christopher from Leeds (02 September 2018)

I love the galloway area - staying at this camp makes a very reasonably priced holiday right on the coast. looking out on to the sea each day is a real break from town life. the air is clear, the water very soft, good local shop on site. Can't stay at aichenlarie often enough. this year in particular as the weather was so good - although I enjoy getting out and about in this area, I couldn't wait to get back to our spacious balcony (all the caravans have them) to lounge about in the sunshine. great inexpensive holiday.
Helen from York (31 August 2018)

The arcade section of the leisure facility was a little worse for wear, but all other aspects of the park represented great value for money. The private beach was a particularly positive point.
Ross (31 August 2018)

Brilliant
Vicky from Manchester (31 August 2018)

Lovely place; brilliant family holiday, caravan very clean really pleased would definitely recommend.
Yvonne from Bury (31 August 2018)

We had a fabulous time, beautiful setting and wonderful caravans! we were sad to leave at the end of our holiday!
Dawn from Staffordshire (31 August 2018)

Great location and lovely static caravan. The facilities such as the swimming pool, gym and soft play could do with having longer opening hours
James from Swadlincote (24 August 2018)

Amazing place love it
Karlie from Northampton (24 August 2018)

Lovely views but that's about all. Caravans packed together so that you can hear your neighbours conversations. Caravans basic, beds not even made up when you arrive. Facilities dated, swimming pool very small and no lifeguard on duty. Restaurant overpriced for basic pub grub. Love the area, have visited dumfries & galloway many times but won't be returning here.
Helen from Shipley (24 August 2018)

Lovely caravan beautiful site bistro and bar fantastic amazing view from our caravan lovely relaxing stay.
Jean from Cannock (24 August 2018)

I have been the last 2 years and have already booked 2 weeks for next year it would of been 3 weeks if there was a discount offer for more weeks so peaceful clean on the camp and all the areas outside the camp friendly and helpful staff fantastic vans
Debra from Stoke On Trent (24 August 2018)

Great holiday. very clean caravan. my son had an accident staff were very helpful with him.
Nicola from Northumberland (24 August 2018)

The holiday was good.shop on the site good price ,nice places to visit looking forward to go again .thank yu to the staff reported my grandson vomited on the blankets within 5 mins they brought clean bedding .not forgetting nice view to the sea, will recommend.
Rejoice from Leicester (20 August 2018)

Peaceful holiday with family. Away from noise of city life. Relaxing.
Kathy from Newcastle (17 August 2018)

Had an enjoyable and relaxing time
Jean from Dumfries (17 August 2018)

We were disappointed to find when we arrived that we had to pay for entertainment passes..
Janette (17 August 2018)

From start to finish this is the best caravan holiday i’ve ever been on. The caravan was beautiful, the views were stunning and the staff were so lovely and helpful.
Nicola from Port Talbot (17 August 2018)

Very relaxing holiday.
Daniel from Spalding (17 August 2018)

The site had amazing views, good facilities and the caravan itself was spotless. I would definitely recommend the site.
Suzy from South Lanarkshire (13 August 2018)

We absolutely loved it here. The caravan was clean and tidy and we had a full sized fridge and freezer. Every day and night there was entertainment for the kids which was perfect for us. Frazer and megan kept all the kids (and parents) entertained. All the staff were friendly and helpful and we are really looking forward to coming back again next year. We were also suprised at how decent the shop was. I'm a vegetarian and they had lots of options for me. And the prices were similar to the high street shops.
Sarah from Thornhill (13 August 2018)

Fantastic views and surroundings. easy reach of attractions. On site facilities are great and there is choice for dietry requirements too.
Vicki from Ellon (13 August 2018)

First visit and will definitely return. Views are stunning and our accommodation was the best caravan we have stayed in. Having ensuite is such a bonus. We used the surfside bistro and takeaway and was pleasantly surprised at the quality and service. We were situated near the restaurant/activity hub but didn’t hear anything at spilling out time. The area is hilly but that is made clear when you read about the site. Overall one of the best weekend caravan breaks we have been on.
Pauline from Uddingston (13 August 2018)

Been here a few times now and feel its not as good as times before
Kenneth from Johnstone (10 August 2018)

I was with my son and his two girls ages 7and 9 . we all had a great time plenty for the girls to do. . plenty of places to visit not far from the site.
Lydia from Wigtown (10 August 2018)

We had a great time on this site.
Andrew from Norwich (10 August 2018)

We had an amazing holiday at auchenlarie. stayed in one of the pods and it was first class. it was very clean and very comfy. all kitchen utensils were provided and the bed was very comfy. . the only thing missing was a toaster. would recommend this holiday to anyone looking for a short break.
Jess from Inverclyde (10 August 2018)

Whilst the location was stunning and the caravan park very well maintained there were elements of the holiday that were slightly disappointing. There were no instructions in the caravan to operate the electric fire or radiators. The electric fire had a remote control, but no batteries. The caravan had also not been deep cleaned as there was rubbish found under beds from the previous occupants. We used the swimming pool, but alarmingly there was no life guard or member of staff available to check. Young children were getting into the pool unsupervised which is a risk. The takeaway was however outstanding and best we've used at any caravan park
David from Walsall (10 August 2018)

Amazing setting and priced well. I really couldn't recommend this place any more highly.
Richard from Birmingham (10 August 2018)

Great for adults .our 15 year old son found it boring .came home 2 days ealy.
Judith from Carlisle (06 August 2018)

Caravan definately nothing like advertised on hoseasons website. Stains on furniture, carpet ripped, fusty smell.
Joanne from Notts (06 August 2018)

Beautiful
Joe from Castleford (06 August 2018)

Spot on nice site
David from Newcastle (05 August 2018)

If you get the sun then a great place facilities basic compared to haven but then a lot cheaper and friendlier than haven who just want your last penny I would go back no problem
John from Bonhill (30 July 2018)

Great family holiday
Nicholas from Dalton (30 July 2018)

Family had a good time .
Kevin (27 July 2018)

Absolutely disgusting caravan stank of smoke yet it being a non smoking caravan. Whenwe told staff they didnt want tp know
Charles (27 July 2018)

Thought the site was very good and laid out well. . did feel our caravan needed a good clean carpets couches. And a table for outside had chairs . . the shop spar shelves were empty
Lynn from Glasgow (27 July 2018)

The caravan was fantastic, definitely worth the money. The views are amazing. We will be definitely be coming back here next year. I would highly recommend paying a little bit more, to have extras like another bathroom.
Michael from Boroughbridge (27 July 2018)

Had fantastic time here 2nd time being there and it was still as good. Beautiful caravan with decking and great we kid club for my daughter
Janice from Motherwell (27 July 2018)

We had a fantastic 3 night break at auchenlarie we stayed in a silver caravan with an excellent view beside the amenities our two daughters loved it , arrived on friday on saturday afternoon they had pony rides both girls loved this and at £5 each we thought was excellent value there was a chocolate party in the club @ £2.50 each was also good fun the girls also went swimming which they both enjoyed the shop on site is very reasonable the staff were also very helpful we also used the on site take away service which was excellent you can order online and you receive a message when to collect fish and chips ready to pick up in 5 mins we also used the sport bar which was also great service and very friendly
Elizabeth from Glasgow (23 July 2018)

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we will be back.
David from Glasgow (20 July 2018)

Love the location and beach
Paula from Fife (20 July 2018)

Great location, fantastic views out to sea. Decking on all the caravans is a great addition
Lorraine from Stewarton (20 July 2018)

The caravan was nothing like pictured, it had been cleaned but was very smelly and initially we didn't want to stay but decided to make the best of it and just stayed out as much as possible. Had to make up the beds myself which was a disappointing start to a holiday. We enjoyed the pool but wished it would have been open in the evening too. The facilities are run down and dated and there are many really old caravans on the site that make the site look awful. We left after 3 nights.
Customer 47 from Broxburn (20 July 2018)

Great location, spotlessly clean and plenty to entertain the kids. Onsite shop was great too with nothing overpriced. We would go back in the future
Leanne (16 July 2018)

Lovely part of scotland, we have visited several times. Can’t fault anything really, pool would benefit from a slide. Everything else makes for a lovely holiday.
Philip from Hawick (16 July 2018)

Really enjoyed this holiday and would go back as that's twice now with the same caravan x
Fiona from Stirling (13 July 2018)

Loved my holiday. Some of the facilities were tired ie the showers at the pool and the flooring in the showers at the pool. Too much litter and broken glass on the crazy golf course. Van b152 was ace, the views were spectacular, thinking about booking again next year.
Thomas from Peebles (13 July 2018)

We all love it there
Linda from Tullibody (13 July 2018)

Loved the holiday. Even grumpy partner enjoyed it!
Liz from Glasgow (13 July 2018)

Fabulous caravan park. Caravan was perfect and facilities onsite were great. Only thing that let us down was the surfside takeaway- waited ages the first night of our holiday then only got half an order and had to wait for the rest so some things were cold by the time we ate them. This was the only thing that let us down. Staff were very friendly and the shop had everything we needed at a reasonable price.
Hannah from Hamilton (13 July 2018)

We had a lovely break in auchenlarie, the caravan was beautiful and views out to sea were so lovely. We had a very relaxing break will definitely be coming back.
Sharon from Edinburgh (13 July 2018)

Great place great views hilly
Emma from Plean (09 July 2018)

My wife great grandson and I had a great time
Bruce from Tillicoultry (09 July 2018)

Most enjoyable
Michael from Dumfries (09 July 2018)

First time at this holiday park amazing location and facilities food at restuarant and takeaway was good value for money .would hope to return soon as my grandaughter age 4 loved it and had a ball.
Gerald from Hamilton (06 July 2018)

Friendly site staff, nice on site shop not over priced, had a couple of problems with caravan on arrival (no tv signal and broken sofa) but they were quickly fixed. . the access to the private beach is not for the feint hearted, it’s very steep and rough under foot.
Adam from Wishaw (06 July 2018)

Great site, will be back
Mark from Glasgow (06 July 2018)

Brilliant place and we will be looking to re book for next year, a proper caravan park!!
Moray from Edinburgh (06 July 2018)

I had a great time and the staff were all very nice it's a beautiful place and will be going back soon
Elizabeth from Glasgow (02 July 2018)

Stunning location and very clean caravans. Very little and poor entertainment for adults and kids. Would only stay for a short period as due to location it's quite isolated but lovely for short break.
Joanne from Coatbridge (02 July 2018)

We had a lovely time and it was made even better with the recent heatwave. The on-site restaurant was good, shop excellent value for money (local eggs amazing!) and swimming pool was excellent.
Alan from Hamilton (02 July 2018)

Location is amazing with a lovely beach tucked away down a steep path. Very clear, clean water and great views over the bay. . . it can be quite a lively park and you can quite clearly hear the evenings entertainment going on at the clubhouse until midnight, although when we were there it was very still so this might be weather dependent but I wouldn't have liked to have been in a caravan near to the source with a young baby. The centre itself is in good condition and the pool, albeit quite small, looks well looked after. The takeaway on site is woefully inadequate for the amount of orders coming in (we ordered well in advance to collect at 625 and ended up waiting until 7pm ) but the quality of the food/selection is good and at a reasonable price too. . the arcade is also a bit disappointing with the majority of the machines geared towards either gambling or winning tickets to trade in for prizes rather than being actual games (of the two of these one was inoperable) but they do have a pretty good soft play on site for slightly older kids. . . price wise, we got a late deal so got it heavily discounted and I feel the value for what we paid was good, but if full price I would have been left feeling a bit underwhelmed. That said, the location and the beach, the playgounds and the overall experience of this park was positive.
Michael (02 July 2018)

We had a wonderful holiday. The caravan site was situated in a beautiful location. The amenities (shop, restaurant ), were well stocked ,with a lot of choice. Evening entertainment was good, especially for families, not so much if you wanted a quieter evening to watch the shows.
Peter from Chatham (29 June 2018)

Great holiday brilliant views entertainment was excellent. Would vist again and let families and friends what a beautiful holiday park it is shop was well stocked
Diane from Tamworth Staffs (29 June 2018)

The site was great and all the staff were so friendly and helpful.
Linda from Johnstone (29 June 2018)

Great holiday will come again
Basyly from Rhyl (25 June 2018)

Great holiday again in great caravan and great weather
Catherine from Glasgow (25 June 2018)

Great time again! caravan not as pictured on line and tv picture was awful even after the guy coming down to try and fix it-very disappointing especially with world cup being on!!
Elaine (25 June 2018)

We had a lovely week away. Fantastic facilities for our toddler with the soft play and pool. We had a great time out and about lots to do in area. We've been many times so a tad disappointed with our view from caravan but we'd still return.
Jennifer from Durham (22 June 2018)

Spent another good week at this park.
Gordon from Bishopbriggs (22 June 2018)

Lovely caravan clean and spacious, site maintenance was first class also great choice in the onsite shop.
Alistair from Irvine (22 June 2018)

Great scenery and a good location for visiting galloway.
David (22 June 2018)

Rooms and particularly toilets were very small. You can hardly move in shower
Davinder from London (22 June 2018)

Enjoyed a family weekend. Plenty to do in the area.
Olive from Wigton (18 June 2018)

Beautiful location to relax outside school holiday. Can imagine would be overcrowded when the kids are off. Caravan had very little and basic equipment for preparing a meal. Level of cleaning was poor.
Teodora (18 June 2018)

A pleasant location, this was my third visit. The caravan was large & clean with double french doors onto the decking. Good size fridge & freezer with gas cooker & hob. (only one. Rack in oven). I was located in the top blue section so was woken every night with road noise .the a 75 is the main route to stranraer for the hgv's.but not a major problem. The staff I spoke to were very pleasant and kept the grounds spotless. Overall a very pleasant 2 weeks & I will be returning.
Matthew from Crosby (18 June 2018)

A lovely caravan, clean and in good condition.
Julia from Carnforth (15 June 2018)

Great
Ellen from Hawick (15 June 2018)

We had a great stay would book again. What a lovely area
Karon from Renfrew (15 June 2018)

This was our first time at the holiday park and my boyfriend and I loved it. The caravan was imaculate and it was so modern, I was so shocked and pleasantly surprised. . the caravan caravan also had decking around, so it was lovely to be able to sit out and watch the water. . the facilites at the park were great, the main complex wasnt the prettiest thing to look at, it looks a little depressing, but this didn't have any affect on the holiday. The complex met all of our needs, as did the little shop as you enter the caravan park, which is also the recpetion area. We didnt use the other facilities however there was a lot there including on site shower for campers and a laundrette. . . I would highly recommend the park, it was great and very well kept. . . if you like walking, castles and little towns, this is the place to go! its very cute and perfect for a little getaway.
Sarah from Glasgow (15 June 2018)

Lovely caravanbut very little facilities
Valerie (15 June 2018)

Lovely part of scotland for touring. Caravan was spotless and very well equipped, however, we could not enjoy sitting on veranda with wonderful views and sunshine because of barking dogs. We put sun loungers in car and went out all day.
Robert from Kilwinning (08 June 2018)

Lovely holiday, caravan was excellent, views beautiful, great week
Caron (08 June 2018)

Lovely area, clean site and calm clear waters. Alternate local beach and local activity centre.
Neil (04 June 2018)

Lovely site, clean caravans and great location. Only down side we found was the swimming pool was closed 1 day of our 4 day holiday due to swimming lessons
Tami from Yorkshire (01 June 2018)

Caravan was clean, facilities were clean. Very helpful and friendly staff. Nice beach, nice park for little kids to play on. Clean park.
Sophie from Lincoln (01 June 2018)

We have been visiting this site for 5+ years and have never been disappointed.
Robin (28 May 2018)

Caravan bedrooms were nothing like advert for silver 2 and it says typical silver 2 we were in row of 5 and all very small I still didn’t find the 1 in advert I use this park 3 times a year and love it if u are an above average person book a bigger caravan it was fine for me and my son but a squash for my partner
Dawn from Consett Co Durham (28 May 2018)

Very friendly and clean best place I have been in a long time . very relaxing will definitely be back
Isabel from Glasgow (28 May 2018)

My favorite caravan holiday, we found it very relaxing, scenic and dog friendly.
Sharon from Leeds (28 May 2018)

I was very happy with the caravan. It was a lovely, comfortable and modern caravan. The area was beautiful. The facilities were great for us, particularly the pool which is indoors with a view of the sea. Very enjoyable holiday in all.
Deborah from Blantyre (28 May 2018)

Loved the location but access to small beach is precarious for older people although once on it. It was very pretty. Will definitely book again. Plenty to do and see. Can't wait to go back.
Margaret (25 May 2018)

Really nice and very surroudings lovely
Evelyn (25 May 2018)

We go to auchenlarie every year never had a bad holiday or caravan staff are all friendly and helpful a even won at bingo
Thomas from Hamilton (25 May 2018)

Beautiful place, stunning view, good facilities. The caravan itself was good, linens for the bed, big living area space. . the only issue with ours is that it was obvious someone had previously been smoking in our caravan. The staff were very apologetic, and I advised that they have that particular caravan freshened before any future guests
Rachel from Glasgow (21 May 2018)

Great caravan site. Every caravan has a view of the sea. Friendly reception staff and helpful grounds/maintenance staff. Only downside was that the games area was poor.
William from Hamilton (21 May 2018)

This place is amazing with everything going on on site and near by. Staff friendly so helpful felt like I was a real v.i.p. Chocolate factory . david coulthard museum . gem rock. Cree museum . threave garden. Horse riding . castles visited 4. Cream of galloway tour. Adventure park. Loads more I was amaze at how cheap everything was and the pool sauna gym solarium on site amazing thank you for a wonderful week booked next year already.

Karen from Birmingham (04 May 2018)
