Fab break away! however there’s not much to do around the site which is close! and the staff weren’t always around so we found it hard to find them. . but the lodge it’s self was really good ! it was fab
Hayley from Sundlerand (17 April 2018)

It’s was amazing definitely coming here again everyone is welcoming and we had our own privacy too yes very well recommended.
Monica from Luton (17 April 2018)

We were 2 couples on a long weekend break, the lodge was lovely,it was clean and well presented, there was all the basics we needed to get us started from tea and coffee to toilet roll,. sky tv,wifi, the hot tub was brilliant,. we will certainly go again.
Keith from Doncaster (16 April 2018)

A great get away from everything kind of stay. Nothing for kids to do other than hot tub so take plenty of things to entertain them. Location is great for exploring the local area.
Peter from Sheffield (13 April 2018)

Nothing to really do at the park other than book in at the spa (at a premium).
Michael (06 April 2018)

The manager could not do enough for us. The lodge was cosy and comfortable and the hot tub was perfect overlooking the canal and lovely views.
Jeanette from Derby (06 April 2018)

We arrived at 6pm I had received a text from the site to let us know what number lodge was ours and that it was open ready for us I was surprised that there was no one on site to greet us or check the lodge with us. We found a list of small issues that needed to be addressed. We rang the mobile number that I was given in the welcome pack to let them know and was told maintence would be round the next day which did not happen until the following day when I reported it to a member of staff. Some of the issues could be sorted there and then my main concern was that if we did not let them know we would be charged for these faults. On the positives the lodge was lovely, they had left an easter egg and chocolates for us all. It was a nice mini break but wouldn’t return here.
Marie from East Sussex (03 April 2018)

Overall our stay was thoroughly enjoyable and we would definitely stay again, my only negative would be that the tv kept going off, sky kept loosing reception and the dvd and tv remotes didn’t work. Some of the kitchen utensils were tired and could do with replacing . other than that we would definitely stay again . thank you so much
David from West Midlands (03 April 2018)

We had such a lovely time here as a family. The lodge was lovely and clean. The site was well looked after and there was plenty of things to do around the area.
Stephanie from Shrewsbury (27 March 2018)

Really enjoyed the holiday at altham lodge, private hot tub and gorgeous decor in the lodge. Would return!
Sarah (26 March 2018)

Very comfortable, lack of matching cutlery and only 1 teaspoon. Quiet dusty and holes in the bedding.
Bella from West Midlands (26 March 2018)

Lovely stay at the lodges. Very clean and well maintained. A little disappointed that the hot tub was not warm enough to use on the friday but we made the most of it on the other two days stay.
Marie from Leicester (26 March 2018)

Great lodge - very good spec and great views
Ryan from Miltonkeynes (26 March 2018)

Brilliant few days away, very relaxing, loved the evenings in the hot tub. Some lovely walks in the area, stopping off for a pint on our way round. Staff very friendly and helpful, lodges well equipped with everything that you need. Would highly recommend
Susan from Doncaster (24 March 2018)

Couldnt use the hot tub on the first day as it wasnt hot until the next day, on the last day it was empted so early we had no option to use it, mould in the shower, toilet brush and bins rusty, not a great look, cold weather in fact it snowed, had to keep boosting the heating to keep the place warm, no privacy for the hot tubs, not the romantic get away we were expecting, and the lodges are far to close together, looking out our kitchen window straight into next doors bedroom, sorry but this wasnt great value at all, usally use stretton lakes the detail around the whole package is exceptional and far better value for simlar cost, sorry but we wont be recomending you
Darren (19 March 2018)

Amazing, been twice and loved it. Lodges are beautiful and the location is beautiful.
Janet from South Lanarkshire (19 March 2018)

The lodge we stayed in was very good and the only thing I would improve was to somehow make the hot tub available on the first night, as it seems the average pattern for the hot tub is that it will not be warm enough to use till the day after you have arrived. . otherwise the location was very nice and the staff were helpful with my queries.
Michael (19 March 2018)

Had the most relaxing and fabulous 5 day break. The accommodation was faultless and spotlessly clean. The staff were friendly and helpful, making you feel very welcome. The hot tub was checked daily by staff who was on hand to answer any questions. The hot tub was in an enclosed area and was at the perfect temperature. Would highly recommend ashby woulds lodges and spa and will definately will be rebooking.
Yvonne from Grimsby (16 March 2018)

A few repairs needed doing in the lodge. Eg had a leaking bath twice during our stay! the 2 front burners on the cooker did not work, the large on was dangerous.
Linda from Market Weighton (10 March 2018)

Very poor check in procedure. Lady wanted a bond on my card and wanted to right card details on a piece of paper not very secure. Didn't understand why a bond was required when I had taken out insurance against damages and breakages. Central heating was difficult to operate and kept going cold during the night. Hot tub did not have much power had more bubbles in a bottle of lemonade.
John from Selby (10 March 2018)

Never stay any where else. This location suits us as we are near our children. The staff are very helpful. The accommodation very nice and clean.
Denise from Kent (09 March 2018)

Lovely lodge.
Sarah from Halesowen (05 March 2018)

Lovely spacious lodge, very clean, everything you could need. Hot tub was fab and the privacy screen meant it felt private even though you were actually quite close to the next lodge.
Carla from Chorley (27 February 2018)

Beautiful lodge, clean and well maintained. No amenities on site but within a short drive of a number of small towns and attractions and full sky package was good to have. . . only let down for us was the check in time of 4pm and early departure time of 10am especially as the hottub was unable to be used on the first night. It felt like we only had 2days rather than 4 which seems poor value for money.
Rebecca (20 February 2018)

Brilliant. Nothing else to say, loved it.
Matthew from Dudley (20 February 2018)

Great facilities, lovely clean place. We would definitely go back.
Lindsey (19 February 2018)

Nice cabin with lovely views, hot tub was kept at 38.5 degrees (not hot enough for me and cooled down fast when cover was removed to use, it only had 18 jets too), only a small wooden step to get in and that was unstable. Staff was friendly enough. heating in cabin is at a preset temperature you can't alter, all you can do is boost it for 2 hours.... this made it freezing first thing in the mornings and not comfortable... evan using the electric fire to try and warm up. this is why I would not book again. could be a lovely retreat if they weren't so tight with the heating and hot tub temperature.
Caroline from Dorset (16 February 2018)

Weren't able to go in hot tub for 2 days of the holiday. Wallpaper coming off the walls, the tv in the bedroom didn't work, the bathroom flooded into the hallway every time you had a shower, wine glasses still had stains on them from previous people, back patio doors wouldn't lock & maintenance staff never picked up the phone.
Shaunna (12 February 2018)

Lovely holidat friendly staff
Bridget from Gloucester (09 February 2018)

Disappointed to be told the hot tub would not be available on our first night as it was not up to temperature. As this was included in the our 4 night break, we feel this is something the staff should look at and ensure the hot tub is available for use every night. . the heating kept going off and we were always checking it and having to press the touch button to keep the lodge warm.
Judith from Pontefract (09 February 2018)

Lovely lodge staff was very helpful and on the ball if we had any problems views where lovely
Katie from Nottingham (09 February 2018)

We go to ashby woulds twice a year so peaceful
Judith from Earl Shilton (09 February 2018)

The hot tub was not preheated when we arrived so we could not use it at all on the first night. The hot tub was also fenced off with no view except for a wall. On day 2 the wi-fi went offline for over 24 hours. Staff were friendly but were not able to do much to help.
David from South Shields (05 February 2018)

Lovely site and the lodge itself was nice and clean. Just a few wear n tears. Only thing missing was some steak knives. the hot tub was nice but we wasn't able to use it on the first night and not to much privacy when using it. We must admit we didn't read the small print so having to pay a deposit was a shock ( never done this before), wish we had read the small print because we had booked a mid week break which meant we could of had 2 free spa sessions but this wasn't mentioned. Overall lovely clean site with just a few issues but nothing to spoil a lovely relaxing break.
Samantha from Manchester (02 February 2018)

Very nice clean accommodation , sky was a nice touch , will definitely return
Tony from Rotherham (29 January 2018)

Clean and tidy lodge. Great hot tub. Definitely worth the money.
Carl (26 January 2018)

Absolutely lovely lodge very clean ideal location for us to stay while visiting our family. Staff very nice nothing too much trouble
Denise from Kent (26 January 2018)

Overall great stay. Gas cooker and hob were both not working properly through and should of been classed as immediately dangerous and gas capped. Told park staff so hopefully rectified before next visitors. Would recommend
Ricki (23 January 2018)

Amazing stay lovely quality lodge
Laura (15 January 2018)

Amazing place! right from the get go the staff on arrival were brilliant and the lodge was outstanding. . we will be back
Simon from Manchester (12 January 2018)

Really nice with a homely atmosphere
Farhan from Leicester (08 January 2018)

We have stayed before so do love this place but unfortunately on this occasion we had a few gliches. Dirty bedding on arrival, broken door, sink that wasn't functionining properly. For what I paid I don't expect this - disappointing experience.
Michelle from Coventry (06 January 2018)

We have previously stayed at swainswood park near by and thought we would try ashby woulds lodges as there seemed to be more facilities and newer bigger lodges. We payed a lot more money to stay at ashby woulds lodges and we wouldn’t say the higher price is justified. The only difference really is a slightly bigger lodge and sky tv but the lodge was nearly twice as expensive. There was an ipod docking station but couldn’t be used as it was the of apple docking port which were unaware of. The lodge wasn’t really well kept there was a hole in the wall, pieces of trim missing, stained towels, mould in bathroom due to extractor not working, marks on bedding etc although it was clean. The kitchen and bathrooms were fully equipped. The hot tub wasn’t private at all, you could be seen from every angle, even from the front of the lodge where people are passing which resulted in it hardly being used. It also didn’t bubble much and you couldn’t really change the settings much on it. The man came to check on it in the middle of the afternoon every day too so you were also wary of using it until he had been. We didn’t have much dealing with the staff, we checked in late due to traffic so they took our deposit over the phone and said the cabin would be open and that’s the last we heard. The office was closed for two days over new year. Over all we don’t think it is worth the money although we did enjoy our stay. Definitely needs updating, unless there is a cheap deal we won’t be stopping here again.
Vicky from Sheffield (03 January 2018)

We had our second new year break here and enjoyed them both immensely. This year the lodge seemed slightly more tired but beautifully clean. There are walks and cycle paths on the doorstep but, this year, the litter levels in places were terrible. . that said, we had a great time.
Pamela from Derby (03 January 2018)

Park is lovely, kept very clean, fountain is a nice focal point
Mark from Rotherham (27 December 2017)

We had an absolutely lovely stay here over christmas. Lodge had everything we needed and more, very quiet and lodges don't overlook each other's hot tubs. We assumed it was in the middle of nowhere but is actually in a small village, which was great as only had to travel a couple of minutes by car to get to a shop. Would definitely recommend and return!
Billie (27 December 2017)

The lodge we stayed in could do with a bit of tlc some things like cooking utensils need updating toilet seat not fitting properly oven door would not close properly so took longer to cook things plates more for children than adults wifi intermittent,no staff about only on check in and out days ,phone number in case you need anybody tried to ring but no answer, site was clean and very quiet not a lot for children to do on site need to travel out and about but all in all yes we would return to this site if the price was right
Steven from Cheshire (27 December 2017)

We stayed in lodge 4 for 4 nights over christmas. The lodge was very nice but was showing signs of disrepair. There were things that needed repairing and the bathroom mats had seen better days. We could of done with more plates and mugs and we had no small kitchen knives in the lodge which made peeling vegetables for dinner very difficult as we only had two large carving knives to use. We found the beds very hard to sleep on. On the plus side, we enjoyed having sky tv and the hot tub was lovely, we were able to use it one the day we arrived as it was up to temperature of 38.5. The nice touches were the bottle of wine and a box of chocolates left in the fridge and the use of bathrobes and slippers and the toiletries left in the bathroom's. We were able to use the wi-fi for a couple of days and then it stopped working. The lodge got nice and warm but you need to press the boost button every couple of hours to keep it warm.
Lisa from Leicestershire (27 December 2017)

It was quiet because of it being december..the lodge was spacious and clean, the toaster was faulty which tripped the electric but it was changed quickly, the hot tub we couldn't use the first night as it wasn't up to temp but other than that we was pleased with our little getaway just before xmas.
Maria (23 December 2017)

The facilities of the lodge should have been scored significantly higher - the actual fixtures and fittings were of a great standard but let down by the lack of upkeep. With mould in the corners of each bathroom / broken shelves in the fridge / peeling wallpaper in the bathroom etc. I say this baring in the initial conversation had at reception which felt heavily focused on the deposit which would not be returned in case of any damage and additional charges would apply dependent on said damage should it occur. Which was followed by many leaflets and letters in the welcome pack stressing the same key point. . it may seem a simple need but when paying for a short break I would expect to be welcomed with a smile and a pleasant attitude and not be treated like an unnecessary burden that has to be dealt with . . the purpose of the break was a quiet break just before christmas which the lodge absolutely provided with privacy and a good destination not far from birmingham to get away from it all . the service however definitely detracted from the overall experience and whilst the service was only felt on entering and leaving the site, it was poor enough to be highlighted in a review. Simply put if the facilities where well maintained and the staff smiled and acknowledged guests in a professional my experience would have been substantially better and I would book to visit again
Peter from Birmingham (22 December 2017)

The lodge was immaculate and had everything we required. The hot tub was superb and checked every day. The activities in the area were good though really more suitable for children than adults though we did a lovely walk to castle gresley (no castle). ashby de la zouch always worth a visit. All in all, worth the money, especially if you can get it at a discounted price.
Nigel from Lincoln (22 December 2017)

Overall experience was great, slightly disappointed we didn't not receive welcome gifts like described
Angel from Doncaster (15 December 2017)

Fantastic relaxing place. This was our 2nd visit and will be shortly booking again!
Tina from Sutton Coldfield (11 December 2017)

Beautiful lodge, lovely quiet park. Will return.
Sue from Wirral (09 December 2017)

Had ann amazing time for my partners bithday, I have recommend to my friends who are going to make a group booking next year. Will definitely stay again
Confirmed Holidaymaker (05 December 2017)

Loved evevry minute of our stay the lodge was lovely and very peaceful and clean. Very relaxing weekend
Charlote from Grays, Essex (04 December 2017)

Brilliant weekend. Our lodge was very warm and we loved the hot tub. Ours was completely secluded from the public and from the wind, which we noticed some weren't. some good places to visit nearby though you would need a car for this. would definitely go again.
Peter from Bedfordshire (04 December 2017)

Set in a beautiful place with such nice views of the cannel, the lodges are planed out really well and the inside are amazing. Me and my fiancee would deffinatly be coming back to this lodge park.
Ben from Derby (01 December 2017)

Great place. Lovely staff. Shame the hot tub was freezing on the first night and still not quite up to temperature the next day.
Dave (28 November 2017)

Lovely place to stay, beautiful lodges and hot tub great.
Louise from Staffordshire (28 November 2017)

Great for a good relaxing break
Antoni from Tamworth (27 November 2017)

Had a lovely relaxing weekend with 2 other couples. Lodge was modern and very warm. Had a fab time
Wendy from Chesterfield (27 November 2017)

Lovely lodge but not very private outside if you want to eat or use hot tub
Angela (24 November 2017)

Lovely and relaxing, spa therapist was great
Taw from Birmingham (20 November 2017)

We go every year. Love it. Helpful staff. Lovely quiet surroundings. Relaxing
Vicky from Mansfield (18 November 2017)

It was a beautiful lodge and we were very well equipped for a wonderfully relaxing stay. The complimentary wine and chocolates were a lovely touch and we were more than happy with everything.
Nicola from Bolton (17 November 2017)

It was a lovely relaxing time away with family. The lodge was clean and loved the hot tub. There's loads of walks just of the site which was nice to do then relax later in the hot tub.
Christopher (14 November 2017)

Amazing!!!
Megan (10 November 2017)

Second time here and we quite like it , very quiet and relaxed
Mark from March , Cambs (10 November 2017)

Was exactly what we wanted we didn't have far to travel far and enjoyed a relaxed chilled week. Lodge was big spacious and well kept . not rub mate it very special fab break
Richard from Long Eaton (10 November 2017)

I booked 4 lodges for my family to celebrate my 60th birthday and we were all very impressed by the size of the lodges, the cleanliness and the facilities inside. . the maintenance guy came round twice a day to check on the hot tub. I notice some negative comments on here regarding being unable to use on the first night but that is quite understandable given they need to be emptied and cleaned from the previous parties use and is a small price to pay for remaining safe and healthy. . we went for a wonderful meal at the tap house bar & restaurant in ashby, which also has a fabulous carvery and is less than a 10 minute drive away. . I would recommend ashby woulds to anyone wanting a relaxing break, it certainly exceeded my expectations.
Brian from Ripley (07 November 2017)

We have visited the lodges 3 times, the first two occasions were perfect.. the third lodge we stayed in was supposedly a more deluxe lodge but was. I where near the standard of the previous two. . the en suite bathroom had a terrible smell like filthy drains and the kitchen sink was blocked and filled up every time the washing machine was on. . lodges are always clean and tidy to a good standard and the hot tubs are immaculate. . overall a lovely place to visit and we will be visiting again
Kirsty (06 November 2017)

Staff helpful, lodge clean also impressed with the how clean the hot tub.
Confirmed Holidaymaker (06 November 2017)

Modern accommodation, had everything available within the lodge for a short stay. Great location, close to so many places to visit in under 30 minutes. Hot tub was a bonus!
Vicki from Milton Keynes (28 October 2017)

The hot tub wasn't heated on our first night so this wasn't great value for the money we paid. Actually the temperature was the best throughout our stay. . . our electric kept cutting out?!! once we found the switches it was ok. But what a complet hassle. . . question for you!! - would you change a swimming pool each time it was used or would you just treat the water? I have no idea why they would do that each time they have a new client.
Cally from Staffs (24 October 2017)

I was looking forward to going somewhere not to far away but when we got there the staff mainly the manger was talking to me like I just entered the army, ‘do I make myself clear’ ‘do you understand’ in a controlled sturn manner I thought she was going to ask to drop and give her 20 at one point!! the manger wasn’t very nice if I didn’t answer a question quick enough I got ‘well?’ ‘yes? no? yes? no?’ ‘you going to answer?’ asked me to fill form out as I was I could hear them slagging about other staff I felt awkward and was embarrassed, the lodge wasn’t the greatest it was all stone floor and was quite cold no rugs or anything and they don’t have the basics eg cheese grater, and others, gardeners are always around you feel like you can’t go in the hot tub in the day because he will jump out of nowhere, a man checks the hot tub daily too but he comes round whenever he want, so no set time so again you can’t really go in the hot tub in the day just in case he hasn’t been round, plus sometimes he check it twice other once a day sooo messed up andfor some reason they empty the hot tub every time someone had been (isn’t that what the chemical are for) so it didn’t heat up for a day so that was wasted that day was. Not very happy over all never coming back!!! and I wouldnt recommend it!!!!
Natalie from Loughborough (20 October 2017)

Really enjoyed our stay, thank you
Nicky (20 October 2017)

Perfect mini break
Nicola from West Lothian (17 October 2017)

We were so pleased with our break away it was very relaxing. The only criticism I have is that as it is meant to be relaxing I woukd expect there to be a cut off point for people using the hit tub and outdoor area at night. We had to put up with the people next door drinking and getting very loud and this went on until 12am.
Laura from Worcester (16 October 2017)

Stayed here before and everything was the same high standard, but 3 years older.
Barbara from Sheffield (14 October 2017)

We stayed at ashby woulds for our familymoon.. we had a such a lovely stay.. the lodge was beautiful and clean.. the hot tub was a bonus and was used by the whole family.. the only thing I would change is maybe a restaurant on site.. we would definitely book again
Charlene from Tamworth (14 October 2017)

Lovely relaxing break - peaceful site and pleasant surroundings.
Kerry from Staffordshire (13 October 2017)

Brilliant stay last week, that good we've just booked again!
Lauren from Derbyshire (10 October 2017)

Lovely break
Helen from Coventry (09 October 2017)

Perfect weekend break, just wished we had stayed longer. . only negative was nearest pub not in walking distance, but would not stop us from going back.
Sarah from Peterborough (02 October 2017)

Excellent location, helpful friendly staff, lodges were at a high standard however there was a little wear and tear with the on suite bathroom, loved the touch with the complimentary robes , wine and chocolates
Lee from Oldham (02 October 2017)

Loved it helpful staff, a lovely clean cabin with everything you would need including dishwasher and set in a peaceful serene setting
Amy (30 September 2017)

Very nice stay here. . shame we were all unwell on the visit, but didn't affect how beautiful these apartments are. . was a lovely 4 night break. . great value for what we paid. . beds were very comfy better than I expected. I am very fussy. . hot tub was clean and a reasonable size for us. . only thing I would suggest is a gate at the top of stairs for the decking so kids can't excape. Or fall down them. . but a great break none the less. . :-) will stay again.
Edward from Burnham On Crouch (29 September 2017)

Excellent would definitely recommend
Malcolm from Cambridgeshire (29 September 2017)

Lovely holiday with friends. Only noticeable lacking things were - . -only one bin bag provided which was very unhelpful and seemed overly stingy . - very small fridge considering it was a lodge that could sleep up to 6 people, not nearly enough room for food and drink storage . - no view of the lake/canal from deck as was advertised in the photos as bushes were too overgrown
Kate from London (25 September 2017)

Fantastic break. The lodge we stay in was amazing, clean, tidy, beautiful interior. . very quiet and peaceful. The hot tub stopped working but as soon as we called up reception somebody came round to fix. The only thing wrong with our stay is the fact we had to leave we will definitely be coming back, worth every penny. . amazing place.
Sam from Sheffield (25 September 2017)

Absolutely stunning lodges. Lovely and spacious. Built in kitchen with everything you coukd think of. Lovely bottle of wine and chocolates on arrival and also slippers and robes. Hot tub was amazing. Perfect for a relaxing getaway.
Paige (18 September 2017)

Well laid out quiet small park with good security.
Christine from Reading (16 September 2017)

Lodge was advertised as having a sound system in the hot tub, it didn't. The hot tub was too cold the first night to get in so you are loosing one night which is one of the main reasons we picked that lodge. Lodge was advertised as looking on to a canal, it was small fishing ponds. There was no recycling facilities. There was very little local amenities. The lodge itself was lovely, well furnished with good equipment. Could do with a king-size bed.
Anonymous (15 September 2017)

What a great holiday!!! we had a lovely time, the location is perfect and as for our lodge.. wow.. we could not of asked for more. We would recomend this break away to all our friends & family. Perfect! we will be back!
Linzi from Leeds (15 September 2017)

Very welcoming staff on arrival, pre-arrival had two emails offering spa treatment appointments, unfortunately couldn't take advantage as the appointment times did not coincide with our free time. . lovely welcome pack, lodge was spotless and very comfortable. location overlooking lake was fabulous, would definitely visit again
Maureen from Stocksfield, Northumberland (11 September 2017)

Only a short stay unfortunately but there appears to be plenty of attractions to visit within a short driving distance. Cabin well equipped & spacious. Enjoyed the hot tub which was checked daily.j
Charles from Retford (11 September 2017)

Excellent value for money well worth a visit thank you
Charles from Bangor (09 September 2017)

Beautiful setting and everything you need in the accommodation . hot tub was great despite the weather still used it . location near to swadlincote and other laces of interest all within a few miles . would definitely go again .
Sonja from Rushden (08 September 2017)

We had a lovely short break before the children went back to school.
Olivia from Stockport (04 September 2017)

Great holiday for all the family 2 adults and 2 kids age 9 & 6. lodge had everything needed plus more and hot tub was amazing to relax in after day trips. Would definitely go back and recommend.
Helen from Sunderland (02 September 2017)

Fab plave we've been twive now...
Kerry from Walsall (01 September 2017)

We didn't find much near by to do but we really enjoyed our selves and would love to come again and hopefully for longer
Sam from Walsall (28 August 2017)

Lovely place beautiful part of country lots to do in surrounding area
Catherine from Carlisle (26 August 2017)

Nice lodge with everything you need right down to a corkscrew.the lodges are very close together making privacy an issue other wise a good place to stay.
Customer 105 (25 August 2017)

Lovely spacious lodge, furnished to a very good standard. The staff knew of a problem in our lodge before we arrived, notified us then sorted the problem with in one hour of our arrival.
Howard from Tonyrefail (25 August 2017)

Had a great short break with excellent accomodation and friendly helpful owner and staff will be visiting again.
Thomas (21 August 2017)

The lodge was clean and comfortable and we had a good break. We loved the hot tub. There wasn't a lot for the kids to do on the grounds, a play area would have been good. Location wise there isn't much to do around other than conkers but overall it was a great experience.
Hussein from Birmingham (19 August 2017)

Central to a wide range of locations & attractions. Friendly staff & well maintained, up to date lodges & grounds. Would recommend & would return.
Erica (19 August 2017)

The only little complaint I have is that the canal/fishing lakes could not be seen due to the overgrown trees and it also resulted in that the decking and hot tub was in the shade during the afternoon and a beautiful sunset was spoilt by the greenery.
Susan from Derbys (14 August 2017)

Great lodge. Very clean. Quiet surroundings. Great hot tub.
Claire (14 August 2017)

Lovely lodge, some areas slightly tired but really clean. Music system only works with older iphones unfortunately too. Great location for getting out and about.
Sarah from Ulceby (11 August 2017)

Hoping to return. Wonderful place excellent accommodation!!
Claire from Huddersfield (08 August 2017)

Was very disappointed with the lodge although there was plenty of room the showers weren't very clean there was a terrible smell of damp from the back bedroom shower . the lodge was supposed to have a outstanding view over the water all we could see was overgrown trees !! we had to go out and buy pillows as the ones supplied were to flat to use and the lights didn't work due to no bulbs !!so all in all would not go back and we were very disappointed after spending over £1000 for the week .
Tina from Port Talbot (05 August 2017)

Amazing place ran by amazing people
Sally from Hull (04 August 2017)

Very good lodge with great facilities
Kevin from Eastbourne (31 July 2017)

We had a few issues with lights which were resolved very quickly. The only other issue was that the washer/dryer didn't have a manual which made it impossible to use.
Jennie from Boughton Under Blean (29 July 2017)

Very clean accommodation. It was great to have coffee, tea and other things like hand soap and dish washer tablets already available at the lodge.
Antony (28 July 2017)

Nice lodge but needs some attention. Burn hole in headboard. Speakers in living area don't work. No light bulb in one bedroom and other bedroom light didn't work. Wardrobe door doesn't close. Things like this need to be sorted before guests arrive.
Victoria from Hesleden (28 July 2017)

Some odd bits compared to other sites. £150 up front deposit in case of damages. Cut back some of our spending money and wasn't aware until we turned up. . and pool people and staff clearing hot tub at 8.30am and taking away garden table / brolly before 9am. Otherwise a nice holiday
Shaun from Crawley (28 July 2017)

We stayed in lodge 7 and note the following:. - heating needs to be fixed (had to call manager to get it working but same fault kept recurring). - livingroom was quite dark so could benefit from a few lamps (which we brought in from the bedroom). - furthest away bathroom (shower) we could smell damp. - the view advertised of the river does not match as the bushes are now very overgrown. - patio furniture is a little outdated . - a small point is that the lightbulbs in some of the lamps were not working. . overall, this was a beautiful lodge that had everything we required and we will definitely be booking again.
Alan from Glasgow (24 July 2017)

We stayed in aspen 4, it was so clean and well finished, we had everything we needed and has a wonderful stay.
Mark from Northern Ireland (22 July 2017)

Wonderful relaxing stay!
Anika (21 July 2017)

A great place to relax and unwind. The villas are emacaulate, fresh and clean smelling. All the utensils were like new. 5*
Kevin (18 July 2017)

A lovely relaxing weekend. Perfect location. would jave scored 10 but we only found out the sa was closed after we booked
Tanya from Gloucester (18 July 2017)

Wonderful week away. Made every use of the facilities and hot tub. The completary wine, chocs and toiletries were a nice touch. If I had to be picky, no where to go for a stroll around the lodges was my only gripe.
Kimberley from Notts (17 July 2017)

Second time at ashby woulds everything nice and clean hot tub lovely but could do with a little bit more screening. not quite as good as the first time there but still had a lovely break.
Terry from Lancaster (15 July 2017)

Myself, my partner and children aged 16 and 3 all stayed. Lovely lodge. Well equipped. Very clean, spacious and comfortable. Quiet countryside surroundings but within easy reach of many towns and things to do. We didn't use the hot tub so can't comment on that. Only downside was non-existent wifi, difficult to look on the internet for things to do, etc. Would highly recommend the lodges and will definitely stay there again.
Kerry from Carnoustie (14 July 2017)

Fab accommodation!! spacious and loved hot tub.
Dawn from Perth (14 July 2017)

A bit pricey, but they are wonderful lodges with everything you could ask for.
David from Glasgow (14 July 2017)

Lodge was brilliant but was let down by the false advertisement as there was no beauty treatments on site and I rang a number of times a week before our weekend break regarding the fishing and knowbody got back to me
Lee from Stoke On Trent (10 July 2017)

Lodge wasn't the full luxury we expected. Facilities not enough for 6 adults and hot tub wasnt large enough neither. 1 small fridge , needs another one in utility room !!. outside furniture very old and uncomfortable. Needs new relaxing chairs / table. View was of overgrown trees so no watching the wildlife on the canal.
Sam from Beal (10 July 2017)

Nice lodge, clean and well kept site. Toiletries in the ensuite and bathroom with fresh flowers in the living room and the jacuzzi tended daily. A nice touch was a bottle of wine and a box of chocolates.
Glenda from New Forest (08 July 2017)

Really enjoyed our stay. The lodges are stunning and the hot tub was a nice luxury.
Tony (07 July 2017)

Excellent lodge and site. Finished to a high standard, very comfortable. When arriving, be aware that there are 2 different sites on either side of the main road, both signposted as ashby lodges. We weren't aware and this caused some confusion.
Jill (07 July 2017)

Nice lodge and friendly staff
Clayton from Nelson (03 July 2017)

The lodge was clean and tidy and the hot tub was working. The oven was a bit slow and the saucepans were old and tired but generally good facilities. The big disappointment was there was no spa and we were not made aware of this in advance, if I had have been I could have made appointments somewhere else. It wasn't until I asked how do I book that I was told there was no spa facilities at the moment as they were left in the lurch.
Alex (01 July 2017)

We enjoyed our stay. However only one car park space. Also we tried contacting the spa on a number of occasions to book treatments with no response which was disappointing. Pleasantly surprised by the open garden and bbq facilities. The lodge itself was well sized and the layout meant we weren't overlooked by other caravans which was nice.
Christine from Poole (24 June 2017)

Second visit- totally relaxing break - hot tub, prosecco and music- perfect weekend. Lodge was immaculate. . the fridge door didn't close properly in lodge 5 so it needs fixing.
Deborah from Solihull (19 June 2017)

Excellent. We hope to return soon.
Pat from Birmingham (17 June 2017)

My stay at ashby woulds was very pleasant and relaxing. . the staff at the desk were nice and accomodating and on top of this, ashby woulds have a local bbq and lovely hammick and tables for the public to sit and commune. . also the spa is something my girlfriend considered and is a nice touch for visitors. My only recommendation would be the inclusion of an on-site bar but within the welcome pack, there is plenty of places near by to accomodate for this.
Bernard from Leicester (16 June 2017)

Great place for a very quiet stay , just what we wanted
Mark from March , Cambs (16 June 2017)

It looked a nice place when we arrived but after a while we noticed that the place were looking tired.rang spa mobile number many times and left voicemail wanted to book treatment for four of us got no response ,went down to reception on four occasions always found it closed.
Elaine from Worksop (16 June 2017)

Fantastic weekend away the on thing is we was trying to book into the spa all weekend we was leaving messages but they was not getting back to us
Kelly from Nottingham (12 June 2017)

Amazing accommodation. Just as described with helpful staff.
Chris from Manchester (12 June 2017)

We all absolutely loved our 3 night break at the lodge. Very spacious and immaculately clean with everything you need already there. The beds were so comfy I haven't slept so good in years. Perfect peacefull surroundings making the hot tub even better than it was. Only negative was the ipod dock couldn't be used as it had the old connector a little adapter would solve this though. We are definitely booking again next year to take in more sights.
Jeff from Dumfries (12 June 2017)

Place was nice and clean but jaccuzi bubbles didn't work properly. And tv stopped working and there was no one in reception to help as they shut at 4. and phone signal is not good. No service out there so was hard finding places to eat or where to go.
Kelly (11 June 2017)

Great family holiday to celebrate my 30th. Lodge was very clean and had all the facilities needed. Would definitely stay again.
Jodie (09 June 2017)

Overall the lodge was lovely how ever the hot tub was very tired and had parts coming off it when we turned it on also the headrests where missing . we couldn't go in it till the saturday as it was still cold should be heated already for when people check in especially if you are only there for the weekend the lodge itself was very clean and had everything you need in it shame the hot tub let it down
Wendy from Kettering (05 June 2017)

Lovely well equipped lodge in a great location, would definitely return
