I booked this lodge as a surprise for my friends 50th, the lodge is spacious well equipped and very clean, the location is lovely, it was very relaxing and the hot tub was amazing lots of room easily fit 6 people in it, we had an amazing wkd and I would recommend artro lodges.
Francine from Chester (11 December 2017)

The lodge was nice to look at! inside was nice with everything you needed, no welcome pack though! was disappointed in the late 4pm check in and early 10am check out so four days was really 2!! hot tub i’m sure was dirty water. Funny smell coming from the water. was very off putting. Probably not enough time for a water change ready for next arrivals! overall I wouldn’t go back for what I payed. Improvements could be made regarding customer service also.
Lee from Runcorn (13 November 2017)

Absolutely loved the lodge, very clean and well equipped. A couple of pubs close by serving good food and beer! would recommend.
Lee (03 November 2017)

We absolutley loved our stay and will be returning!
Lynsey from Widnes (27 October 2017)

Had a great stay may be some sort of cover over the hot tub could be looked into but we still braved it even in the rain lol
Paul from Walsall (14 October 2017)

Artro lodges was so easy to find, just off the main road through llanbedr, and the location and setting was lovely, quiet and well maintained - perfect for our needs. . the pretty little village itself is only a few minutes walk away and with everything you would need (local shop and a pub that does excellent food).
Tracy from Cardiff (13 October 2017)

The lodge was lovely however we found the hosts unavailable most of the time - we all thought the area could be cleaned up as it was very untidy on entry . we did worry about the amount of chlorine or additives in the hot tub added daily - we all had a rash at the end of the 4 days & lots of itching. But yes if the price was cheaper we would go back purely for the lodge
Celia from Wiltshire (06 October 2017)

We thought the lodge was nice on arrival but then found that the blind in the kitchen would not pull up even though the owners were aware of it, which was replaced later in the day. On looking around the rest of the lodge, we did not really like was the amount of wasps/hornets on the ground floor leading to the bedroom-utility area-which I am sure the cleaners would have realised. We had to buy wasp spray from the local store to kill loads of wasps around 100 scattered around the floor and back door and surrounding areas and the smell was awful. We did not venture into this area again during our stay
Antony (30 September 2017)

We had an absolute ball and will definitely be coming next year. The only thing I would say is that wifi is a must
Liz from Swansea (30 September 2017)

Lovely lodge. No help from owners or introduction. Called beforehand to ask about towels was told there would be enough for us to shower with but were given one small towel each. Lodge in need of a refresh and a touch up as walls are dirty and cracks showing. Back decking could be finished but not really a neccecity to us. No curtains at front of property so not much privacy at night. Hot tub was filthy which made us not want to use it, really this should be cleaned thoroughly after each stay for hygiene reasons. Not just a chlorine tablet thrown in which we witnessed.
Beth from Buckley (29 September 2017)

It was a stunning lodge very very clean and very cosy. Ideal for our honeymoon
Zoey from Newtown (22 September 2017)

Found the lodges easily though I didn't realise there was no reception area to check in. Lodge was a 4 bedroom executive with all en-suites. Well equipped kitchen, the only thing we found that was missing was mirrors the the upstairs bedroom areas, also an outside table and chairs for eating at would be good. The 3 bedroom lodges have this. Very little phone connection until you walk up the road. 2 pubs within walking distance and a well stocked local shop. Area was kept clean and tidy
Tanya (15 September 2017)

Lovely decorated and modern lodge with helpful staff. Few odd jobs needed resolving such as toilet handles lose and oven handle broken but overall very nice. Only downsides where no wifi and no tumble dryer so could not dry clothes (no heating working).
Hayley (11 September 2017)

We had a great holiday in this comfortable lodge. there were some maintenance problems which should have been sorted before our arrival.
Monica from Dartford (02 September 2017)

Lovely setting accommodation a little tired and owners husband was quite dismissive of several issues we had so not impressed with this. There was clearly a wasps nest in the eaves and my husband is allergic to wasps yet the owner took no action when we first reported this and when we chased them up said it was just nature. That is true but wasps were finding their way into the bathroom making it unusable for my daughter and a risk to my husband. Also the bath plug didn't work and nothing was done so we couldn't use the bath.
Rachel from Cambridge (02 September 2017)

We had a lovely time, the lodge was beautiful and had everything we needed. The surrounding area had some stunning views, and the local pub was superb for both quality and value. I would absolutely recommend.
Laura from Folkestone (05 August 2017)

The lodge was nice and clean with ample space for a family of 6. We all loved the hot tub but maybe if it was cleaned once a day to remove the bits that gather it would have been better. . . one of the double bedrooms lacked bedside cupboards or table to put things on whilst in bed. A bit annoying for the price paid. Also no sweeping brush or handbrush to sweep up bits, without having to get the vacuum cleaner out. . . the fridge whilst ample size had no door compartments for storing milk. A bit of a pain with young children to get them to put it safely in the main compartment, which of course means less space for other food. . . this price range of accommodation normally has more crockery, we found ourselves having to use the dishwasher after ever meal as there wasn't enough dishes for more than one meal. No cafeteria. . . also no welcome pack. Most places this price include at least a small pack of tea coffee milk bread wine etc. Although this is not part of the package in its terms, it is a common practice and customers come to expect it. Something the owners may wish to consider? . . also no wifi. Although some may appreciate the break from this, it really is a necessity for holidaymakers to source out activities and locations as well as book and communicate in general as mobile signal is none existent. You really are cut off from the outside world. . . with these additions the lodge would be 10/10
Karl from Derbyshire (05 August 2017)

Could have done with more crockery, had to wash up after every meal as no spare at all
Barbara from Pershore (05 August 2017)

We had such a fantastic holiday at this lodge. It is absolutely beautiful and spotlessly clean. Everything is well looked after and you can tell they take pride in looking after it. The hot tub made the holiday. Our boys loved it. The owners were fantastic and any issues you have they sort for you, would recommend anyone staying here!
Sarah from Lancashire (29 July 2017)

No wifi / mobile connection !
Paul from Linlithgow (22 July 2017)

We stayed here a year ago and loved it so much we went back however we got there this year and was very sad to see it had gone down hill . . the kitchen table had massive chunks taken out of it . the rug was very grubby in the living room they did replace it half way through with a rug that didn't match at all . . the living room table had chunks out of it . . last year all the bedrooms were all lovely and matching this year we go back one room had a purple head board with an red runner and 3 of the bedrooms had asda value brown quilt covers ( nothing matched in the room at all ) . the runners on the bed were all scagged and very grubby and every single room didn't have anything matching in the room making it look odd and colour matching don't cost much if you want to change a colour change them all. it's the little things that make it go along way . . . the toilet down stairs last year the toilet door didn't lock we just put that down to being only a few months old and would get done 18 months later and the toilet still doesn't lock which isn't good at all . when the lodge is for 8 people . . there was a few other bits that were ruined like the bread bin the glass on the front was smashed (can't afford another one just take it away better to not have one than have a broken one ). the plastic white case to cover wires was still not there on the kitchen counter meaning loose worse were hanging out the wall (not sure if dangerous but there is a reason they make covers ) . . a few more details were very disappointing but can't remember them all . many people would say non of them are big deals however the standards and quality has gone down hill so much in 18 months what would it look like in another 18 months ? and the prices have more than doubled from last year yet it's worse. . if they can't keep the same standards in a 18 month old log cabin how can they keep any standards as it gets older . . very sad to see and won't be returning next year
Chloe from Cardiff (14 July 2017)

Just a few things . . bathroom light broken kept flashing. Bathroom lock broken. No cafeteria for coffee
Louise (04 July 2017)

Beautiful lodge, fully equipped, lovely bedrooms, two en suite, very quiet site (no wifi and nothing else on site) but very nice pub in walking distance. Need a car to get to barmouth, harlech etc. If you want peace and quiet, beautiful countryside and walks definitely stay here.
Amanda from Oldbury (30 June 2017)

Lovely location and beautiful lodge.
Confirmed Holidaymaker (23 June 2017)

Lovely place to stay couple of maintenance issues but nothing to put me off staying again
Christine from Wigan (23 June 2017)

Fabulous lodge fabulous location
Karen from South Wales (19 June 2017)

Relaxing break; excellent area.
David (12 June 2017)

Would help to have information about different areas of interest to visit.could have a guest book in lodge for people to comment on . check list for staff when cleaning an replenishing stock as on this occasion bulbs had blown an bath plug didn't work. Comfort was extremely good. Kids an family enjoyed hot tub. Would be lovely to have been left a complementary tea milk bread an butter, as had been driving a very long way. Just a suggestion. Overall would stay again but not in this area.
Suzie from Stanion (03 June 2017)

Great place to stay, lovely accommodation and excellent location to explore snowdonia and north wales. Stunning coastline on the doorstep. The lodge was well kitted out with everything we needed for a great week's stay.
Lynsey from Worcester (02 June 2017)

We had a fantastic bank holiday weekend here, in a remote little area but still a couple of lovely pubs in short walking distance. Facilities in lodge were well maintained and very clean. We would come back, it's ideal for families, although it's a shame we can't bring a dog as the local area is perfect for that.
Laura (29 May 2017)

Fabulous accommodation in great location. Very relaxing and great for a family break.
Tracey from Milton Keynes (29 May 2017)

Lovely clean lodge, had everything you could want, well equipped kitchen, washing machine, log burner and the hot tub. Quiet location but close to pub and small shop .
Jayne from Glossop (15 May 2017)

The lodge was so much nicer than the photos we had see so spacious comfortable everything you need lovely surroundings fab little village and close to everything u need xx
Terence from Ruthin (13 May 2017)

Just returned from yet another stay at artro lodges. beautiful location, amenities at the lodge superb, extremely clean and well taken care of. Jackie helpful as always. Thank you! we hope to return again soon. The fisher family
Sarah from Brierley Hill (01 May 2017)

Booked here for its close location to zipworld and some quality family time with our grown up children and their husbands.
Karen from Bromsgrove (24 April 2017)

Great all round
Luke (24 April 2017)

Great place to stay and use as a base. the lodges are comfortable, clean, well equipped and maintained. The larger lodge with wood burner is our personal favourite having stayed in both that one and the smaller lodge. If I could add one thing to the smaller lodge it would be a wood burner. will definitely be booking again for a 3rd visit!
Carl from West Midlands (22 April 2017)

Lovely lodges, home from home with everything that you could possibly need. Very peaceful area and very helpful owners.
Joanne from Manchester (21 April 2017)

We stayed for a week in the easter holidays with 3 children, lodges are spotlessly clean and well equipped with everything you could need for a family holiday, lodges are a 2 min walk from the village which has a well stocked shop (which isn't over priced) and a lovely little pub, which serve a good selection of meals, surrounding area is beautiful and is perfect for a relaxing peaceful break. Would definitely book again
Joanne from Doncaster (15 April 2017)

The accommodation was 5 star extremely spacious and well maintained. A lovely quiet base to explore snowdonia.
Joseph (14 April 2017)

Lodge was excellent , hot tub perfect even in the rain !!! few minor issues : some bulbs not working , only 5 tv channels , sky box not secure , few loose wires visible in bedroom. nothing for children on site , only 1 shop and 1 pub walking distance . need a car to get out and about . good to use as a base , limited when the weather is bad . would go again , but at a different time , and different group
Karen from Liverpool (01 April 2017)

Absolutely lovely place to go for a holiday. Myself my partner and children enjoyed it so much we booked to go back for longer as soon as we got home. Would urge anyone who is looking for peace and quiet and no mobile phone reception to go here.
Nicola from Walsall (27 March 2017)

Fabulous huge exectutive lodge, they really go the extra mile for that bit of luxury, we have 3 small children and its not easy being comfortable on holiday..these managed it totally! loads of room and crearure comforts! we will definitely be back again!!
Ann from Liverpool (24 March 2017)

This is so perfect I would recommend it to anyone wich I have done already it's the best log cabin ever no internet but who cares only problem out of everything was we couldn't have late check out we had to be out by 10 but the lady let us stay till 11oclock for an extra 10.00 would of been perfect if we could of stayed till around 1oclock but never mind the hot tub if fantastic nothing around the log cabin so take plenty of food drink and things for the kids
Jackie from Liverpool (20 March 2017)

Fantastic lodge very impressive! . cons. Needs a few repairs spot lights out, abit of damage on walls/cracks,lack of curtains on the front door side windows. . pros. Big and spacious , lovely village. Log burner, hot tub
Sarah from Southampton (13 March 2017)

Had a great time, was lovely place. Just wished hot tub had of been working on our first night as it was our anniversary and had planned a special night in. It had been emptied apparently and takes time to heat up so wasn't ready till the following night which was really disappointing.
Tracy from Tamworth (24 February 2017)

Love these lodges my 3rd time visiting them!
Lisa from Cheshire (24 February 2017)

A lovely place and a good cabin. Potentially it should be a lot better. The lodges are spacious and each bedroom has a bathroom which is nice. There were however certain elements that were disappointing. For example the side insert in the fridge was not there so nowher to put milk. There was a square hole in the wall in each room with wires coming out in the kitchen. There were also many bulbs not working. when we arrived the toilets smelled as if the cabin had been out of use for a while and the place was freezing. I suggest the owners pop the heat on for people an hour or two before they arrive as this would be enough to heat it up. We only found the dvd player which was inbuilt in the side of the television on day 5. So another improvement might be slightly better instructions. Despite this these cabins are nicely placed and accommodation is good.
Sadie from Lutterworth (18 February 2017)

Really nice place to stay. The staff were so helpful and pleasant. The cabin was stunning and unbelievably clean it was the perfect getaway
Matthew from Deeside (10 February 2017)

Fabulous place, gorgeous lodges but no wifi. However we would definately stay there again we loved it
Heather from Wrexham (06 February 2017)

Gorgeous luxury lodge and excellent value for money
Joanne from Ilminster (03 February 2017)

Nice enough area, not the most private place we've stayed at though. Nice pubs a few minutes walk away with good food.
Jemma from Shropshire (27 January 2017)

Fantastic I would like to stay again very soon
Ashley from Brierley Hill (27 January 2017)

We stayed here mid january in the cedar wood executive lodge.it was a very spacious lodge with everything you needed to make your stay comfortable, although the double beds weren't very comfy but we're used to memory foam so you could take your own topper.the park itself is very quiet.the lodge is a great base for exploring the area and the hot tub is an added bonus.the owners were friendly & helpful and we loved it that much we've booked to stay again.
Kerrie from Wrexham (20 January 2017)

Fabulous place to stay, 4 min walk to village with 2 pubs, shop tea room, bike hire.atio pretty village with bus stop to barmouth and portmadog. Lodge was beautiful and huge and hot tub was roasting. Only thing that let it down for me was the hot tub was not ready for use on day of arrival ( which was my birthday ), but this was only a minor glitch and did not spoil our break. Small suggestions for improvement would be...curtains at patio windows for privacy and ensuring the hot tub is ready on arrival, but once again, I understand that sometimes, these things happen. Will definatley return. ( we stayed in cedar lodge no.21. )
Carol from Manchester (20 January 2017)

The lodge was lovely and in a lovely village. Pub and shop in walking distance
Paula (09 January 2017)

We stayed the 6th jan for our sons 7th birthday the lodge was amazing and had everything we needed! as a family it was the perfect family break and we have booked again for the same time next year! only negatives are there was no information given on how to check in and there was nobody at the lodge to show us which lodge was ours so we ended up in the wrong one but it was quickly sorted! we also had a leak and couldnt use one of the showers but didnt put us off returning it was a lovely break and we look forward to returning :-)
Michelle from Swansea (09 January 2017)

We were pleased with the cabin but disappointed that there had been a problem with the flooring not being laid correctly there were folds in all of the lino which caused major trip hazards. We were not informed prior to arrival, or offered a discount, and with 2 small children this did cause issues. Also there was no tv's in the upstairs rooms and no dvd player in the lounge. There is no wifi or phone signal at all, which did cause problems for the eldest as he was unable to play his xbox or watch tv in his room. The hot tub was amazing though and the kitchen was perfect. Beds were very comfortable and it was very peaceful.
Lisa from Connahs Quay (06 January 2017)

We stayed at this property for christmas. This lodge is quite new but the flooring in the kitchen is a hazard. it does not fit. it is much too big and there are ridges which are a trip hazard. There is no dvd player in the lounge area and the one in the downstairs bedroom does not work . our sink was blocked and the lady on the park gave us a bottle of drain unblocker and asked us to sort it our ourselves. The heating was intermittent and in order for it to come on you had to turn the temperature up to 25/30. The only member of staff you saw was putting solution into the hot tub. We were here in the summer and it does not seem as though there is any general maintenance being done. There a 4 properties that appear to be rented and they have communal bins which are collected on wednesday and full again by thursday. . this was our 3rd visit and we will not be returning. It is time for something new
Alun from Birmingham (30 December 2016)

Really really really pleased with the standard of accommodation. Was so good, we have already re-booked for 2017.
Paul (30 December 2016)

We had a wonderful short break, the park is lovely and quiet and the new lodges where we stayed really are a luxury home away from home. We can't wait to stay again!
Rob from South Yorkshire (10 October 2016)

Fabulous place, great value for money. Luxurious accommodation would recommend to anyone
Helen from Oldham (07 October 2016)

We had a great time at the lodge, the lodge itself is beautiful and very clean, the hot tub is just great after a long days walking. The site itself seems to still under development in some areas. Only downside is the location, you definitely need a car as there isn't much around and you have to travel to find the tourist attractions. Nearest supermarket was a good 20 minutes away in portmaddog. Signal or wifi is non existent so do your reasearch and plan your day trips before your holiday begins as taking a 20minute journey to costa every morning to use their free wifi can get expensive.
Leanne from Lancashire (30 September 2016)

Jackie and her team were amazing! we loved every minute of our stay and have recommended the artro lodges to lots of friends and family. Thank you for having us!
Sarena from Swansea (30 September 2016)

Artro lodges are very nice spacious and comfortable
Carol from Ross-On-Wye Herefordshire (30 September 2016)

Potentially great lodge let down by details - in particular the shower tray traps which did nothing but cause the shower to overflow. Also the outdoor porch rail did not fit properly - maybe due to the weight of the hot tub pushing down on the flooring. The cutlery was also about as cheap and flimsy as its possible to get. Details really (although the shower problem was more serious) that just detract from the overall lodge, a pity as otherwise this is easily one of the best we have stayed in. Scenery and walks in this part of wales are amazing.
Philip from Worksop (24 September 2016)

These lodges are beautiful. The setting is so pretty and lovely and quiet. The lodge was immaculately clean. The beds were very comfortable. Hot tub was amazing. The lodge that we stayed in just needed a few finishing touches to make it perfect...the master bedroom and bathroom had no mirrors at all. In the bathroom there were no shelves to put anything on and in the dining area there was wire piping hanging out of the wall. If these things were sorted out then this place would get 10 out of 10 for everything. We will definitely be going back for another holiday. the village is lovely and has a nice little shop that stocks most things that you need and two pubs both of which are lovely.
Zoe from Isle Of Wight (24 September 2016)

Was a real good relaxing week away would definitely do this all over again
Matthew (09 September 2016)

Fab holiday, lovely lodge. Close to local shop and pubs for very good food. would recommend to everyone for a great welsh holiday and the sun was out all week.
Clare from Wales (03 September 2016)

Second time staying and will definitely return. Visited with my sons aged 7 and 11 months and had a fantastic time. The lodges were home from home
Dawn from Connahs Quay (13 August 2016)

Fantastic lodge, beautifully set out with all mod cons. absolutely fantastic. hot tube a real bonus. setting beautiful. wi fi would be useful in the future, but actually rather lovely having no wi fi nor phone signal for the week!. . would highly recommend.
Jan from London (06 August 2016)

Cedar wood no. 21. . having stayed in the older lodges onsite several times in the past, I was very much looking forward to staying in the new ones. However, the finish of the new ones, I felt, was far from luxury. . on arrival there were no standard sized drawers in any of the upstairs bedrooms, the tv freeview box was wedged behind the tv, the hot tub was dirty and there was wet washing left in the washing machine. . . there was very little in the way of decoration, no pictures on the walls, no bookcase etc. . in the kitchen the fridge light didn't work and the frying pan was inadequate for a 6 person accommodation. . . there were no coat hooks in the utility room , nor any shelves or towel rails in any of the three bathrooms. . . the patio furniture didn't match and the turf was badly finished around the side of the property. . . rather disappointing considering we have had a wonderful time in artro lodges in the past. . please sort out the snag list that has clearly been overlooked! it matters to customers paying a premium in high season.
Melanie from Newbury (06 August 2016)

This was our 4th visit to to this site. The only (massive) drawback this time is the mattress in the new lodge was so hard it was impossible to sleep. Well placed to explore area. Equipped excellently. Love it here
Rachael from Colchester (30 July 2016)

Overall the holiday was very good although their were a few things that we didn't like and which we will explain as to why we have marked down some of the ratings. . the location was peaceful and quiet however access to amenities (small local shop) meant you had to walk down a busy main road that has no footpaths. The nearest large supermarket is a 25 minute drive at porthmadog. Because of the location there is very little phone signal and having no access to wifi it made planning or changing things we had planned because of the weather impossible unless we left the campsite and drove to porthmadog. Possibly wifi on the site could be installed. . we have unfortunately scored a low rating for the helpfulness of the staff. This is because of these reasons. On arrival there were no signs as to where the reception was. After driving around the camp once, I decided to chance it at the house and fortunately this was the owners residence. After being told which cabin we were staying in we were also told that the owners were going on holiday for a few days so if the hot tub broke down there would be nobody to fix it. During our whole say of a week we only saw a man check the hot tub once and for 24hrs the hot tub was cold while it was heating up so we were unable to use it for that time. . . we obviously paid a premium price because of the type of cabin we staying in and the tune of year we were staying at. However the cabin did feel unfinished. Little things like toilet roll holders loose, no curtains on the windows in the living room only on the doors, the garden chairs on the front of the property were old and frayed, the master shower had a leak that dripped into the lounge, the kitchen knives very poor quality (they even made cutting a cucumber hard) the fridge door shelves were missing. . unfortunately artro lodges could of been an excellent holiday but for feeling unfinished and rushed. I don't want to seem petty but I feel it's worthwhile inform other families before they book.
Daniel from Lincolnshire (30 July 2016)

A great location but would benefit from improved arrival instructions. lovely lodge but missing some attention to detail in the rooms. hot tub fantastic!
Donna (22 July 2016)

Perfect :) does exactly what it says on the tin. 10 out of 10 ,loved it
Wendy from Wigan (22 July 2016)

The lodge itself is really nice! the pictures don't really do it justice, it was a lot bigger than we expected and very equipped. The hot tub is a great touch, as the area is so quiet there isn't much to do unless you drive to nearby towns (harlech was only 10 mins away). . nearest put is the victoria inn and you can walk there in 5 minutes. We had food there which was nice and a few drinks so it's definitely worth a walk! . the site is very quiet, we went as a group of girls and I personally wouldn't choose here if you are inclined to make any sort of noise after 10pm. On the first night we got a shirty text from the owners to "wind it in" as we were in the hot tub at 11pm. If you are going to celebrate as a group of friends it's definitely not the right place it's way too quiet. . the lodge is lovely, there was 1 bathroom downstairs and both upstairs bedrooms were we suite so no fighting for showers!. the kitchen was well equipped with everything, only downside was the pans were absolute rubbish so if you are planning on cooking I would take your own pans as everything stuck to them and burnt all our food. . there was plenty of parking to the side of the lodge we had 4 cars parked there. . another thing they don't tell you - phone service is non- existing! there is no service anywhere, on any network! they don't have wifi either so be prepared to be cut off from the world!. the only thing that I didn't like was the hot tub is on the front of the lodge with no screens around it. We felt we were being stared at all the time, everytime a car went past people were gawping at us and when the lodge next to us was occupied we felt quite uncomfortable as we were basically looking at eachother. Could really benefit from some privacy screens. . overall our stay was nice, but I would only return as a family group or a smaller one for just me & my partner as I felt it was way too quiet for a group of friends unless you are planning on staying indoors of an evening.
Rachel from Rhyl (18 July 2016)

Superb location on the edge of snowdonia. Very quiet and well-appointed lodges, especially the new ones. great little town with friendly pub. Fresh eggs. No dvd player, no wi-fi and limited cell coverage just about the only negatives although some won't mind that in the slightest. For the money artro lodges is one of the best we've ever visited.
John from Uk (08 July 2016)

Amazing lodges absolutely beautiful every little bit is to a high standard. Would definitely recommend.
Liam from Hull (25 June 2016)

Debee from Treorchy (17 June 2016)

The lodge was beautiful but the one next door was being built and so we` had quite a bit of noise. also the site although on an a road is not really handy for touring as the road is very narrow making it uncomfortable for site seeing.
John from Scarborough (10 June 2016)

The lodge is beautiful and will be beautiful when finished. Just little bits like plugs and wires hanging out. I would 100% stop in this lodge again. I just wish they had told me the site was not finished and building works was still going on, as this woke us every morning and also during the day could not relax with all the noise. . . when it's all finished it will be perfect. . . no staff on site as its only small.
Victoria from West Midlands (03 June 2016)

What you see in the picture is what you get..it was beautiful. .would go again..
Jacqueline from Wirral (23 May 2016)

The lodges are beautiful and the local area is stunning, miles of beaches just 2 mins away. I would definitely stay again.
Craig from Leeds (09 May 2016)

Our stay in artro lodges was fantastic! . the lodge was great but there were a few minor defects. A few lights wern't working, the front door was hard to shut and the wireingin in the kitchen wasn't finished. These did not detract from the holiday though, and I would not hesitate to recommend the lodge!
Robert from Wigan (29 April 2016)

Location was good for exploring. The accommodation was nice but had been poorly finished with cables exposed in the kitchen and bedroom. the wooden flooring was poorly fitted with big gaps and the wood felt warped as if it had been flooded. The hot tub was a good size as we were a group of 7, however it is positioned in an exposed position with no shelter so we could not use it as often because it was raining. The other lodges with hot tubs all had theirs under a covered part of the decking. no staff on site to discuss any of these issues with.
Gilbert from Bramhall (28 March 2016)

Really enjoyed our stay. Lodges are immaculate and really well decorated. All in all we had a great getaway
Mark (14 March 2016)

We had a fantastic holiday we will be back
Brittany from Crewe (14 March 2016)

Well what can I say it was stunning . there was 6 of us there and it was huge. We were worried about space and being on top of each other but how wrong were we. They let us check in 45 early and the people were so friendly. We had a leak and they came straight down to sort it out. It's such a quite place and a lovely get away. I couldn't praise it enough. I would recommend it to any one with or with out kids . the only thing I would say was a negative was the twin rooms are memory foam matteress and they are not that comfortable however that is me everyone is different and i'm sure someone else may find them comfy.
Chloe from Cardiff (11 March 2016)

Lodge was superb, would go again and definitely recommend!
Neil from Chepstow (11 March 2016)

Very enjoyable the lodge was good value for money
Mark from Rayleigh (04 March 2016)

No outside furniture as advertised also no airer for wet brothers etc a pain when there for a week.unfinished at back of lodge glass under decking area and a beer bottle at side of hot tub.area is stunning to see, been before to these lodges great location for pubs. and walks.
Ged (27 February 2016)

Holiday was great, such a relaxing quiet area to stay! great for couples!!
Georgia (26 February 2016)

A very good weekend.
Ryan from Cardiff (15 February 2016)

Excellent facilities within the cabin, throughly enjoyed my stay here.
Jamie from Ellesmere Port (15 February 2016)

Fantastic lodge needs afew things finishing off but will definitely be returning
Rebecca from Nuneaton (08 February 2016)

Was amazing will defiantly be booking again!
Kelly from Liverpool (05 February 2016)

When we arrived it was evening so the site was dark, and there was no reception. I had the phone number for the site owner, so called to say we had arrived, and was instructed to drive around the site to look for the lodge we were staying in, none of the lodges have numbers on, and I had to go into one of the lodges without knowing if it was ours to find out the lodge number from the key on the table. The lodge didn't seem to be finished, the floors upstairs were really creaky, and there was a huge gap between the stairs and the wall at the top of the stairs. There was hardly any furniture in the upstairs bedrooms, and no storage for clothes except a bare clothes rail in the corner of the room, also no storage in bathrooms for toiletries, towels were tiny, barely big enough to be called a bath towel, and the bathroom mirrors were all at chest height, so you have to crouch down to shave. There were no curtains to the windows onto the verandah, although wierdly, there were curtains to the doors, which were pretty pointless without the window curtains.
Jonathon from Mansfield (30 January 2016)

If you had been in one of the new lodges I am sure it would be fine.
Wendy from Rothwell (25 January 2016)

Was amazing would deffinetly come back!
Jade from Manchester (22 January 2016)

Excellent accomodation lovely peaceful surroundings and exceptional value for money, will most certainly be back again.
Kelly from Anglesey (18 January 2016)

More than pleased with the lodge, was very clean and tidy and was bigger than expected, the owner came to see if we were ok which was lovely and we all had an amazing time and will look to book again in the near future
Sara from Chester (06 January 2016)

Arrived in the dark to be welcomed by a large sparkling xmas tree. Very festive and appreciated. . met by jackie and mark who showed us to the lodge and wow what a surprise it was brand new and internally fitted out to a very high standard. . the extra effort to have a christmas tree with lights & tinsel etc. Again was very welcomed. . . the next surprise as we weren't expecting it was the log burner. . hot tub was a delight
Gary from Middlesbrough (30 December 2015)

Log burner in lodge would make it 10/10
Debby from Camberley (06 November 2015)

We stayed with 2 adults and 3 children. Kids absolutely loved it. We were made to feel very welcome and the property is very clean. I was very pleased to see mark coming around in the morning to check the hot tub. The surrounding area is beautiful and the lodges are set in a great place for exploring. we will definitely be visiting again. we highly recommend.
Jo from London (30 October 2015)

Received confirmation that stated entry on arrival from 4pm. Arrived at 4:05 and was informed hot tub had been drained and would not reach ambient temperature until 7:30pm. My 2 granddaughters had been looking forward to going in to the hot tub but where in bed and fast asleep before temperature in tub was reached. Seeing as how you have to vacant at 10am surely 6 hours before our arrival was sufficient time for amenities we had paid for where available to be used upon our arrival. Then when we entered the lodge I noticed the glass on the oven door was hanging down below the oven door. I called the site owner who could only remove the glass to make it safe therefore oven could not be used. Not much good for self catering!!!!
Lesley from Willenhall (26 October 2015)

Very very nice lodge, great for value and such a nice quite place but the only one thing they could improve on is the beds. Very uncomfortable, apart from that we have already booked again
Darren from Bodmin/ Cornwall (16 October 2015)

We didn't want to leave. the location, accommodation and staff were first class. we have booked up 2 years running and will definitely be returning.
Kerry from Hemel Hempstead (03 October 2015)

Artro lodges are in the perfect location for exploring and sightseeing. We took our 2 year old son and there was plenty for him to do. We'd highly recommend shell island and harlech castle as days out to keep the kids busy. . . the lodge its self seemed very nice on first impressions. The hot tub was on the downstairs balcony and was maintained everyday but the button panel was faded which made it difficult to use. . . the interior of the lodge was very clean and tidy. On first use of the en-suite shower in the main bedroom, water leaked through to the lounge and on first use of the toilet in the second upstairs bedroom, water leaked through to the bottom bedroom, wetting a lot of my partners clothes. We contacted a mobile number left in a folder at the lodge and a lady said they'd come and have a look the next day. The next day, a gentleman came and put new sealant in the shower and asked us not to use the broken toilet for the rest of the holiday. We were very disappointed that nobody apologised to us. . . the lodges are sold as 'luxury' lodges however we feel that the small details such as: no splash back in bathroom and kitchen so the walls are sprayed with toothpaste and food, missing kitchen door panel, pencil writings on the walls, dusty lamps, un-emptied bathroom bins on arrival, collapsed seat of sofa and no hand soaps provided don't seem to meet 'luxury' standard. We went out of season, we wouldn't pay peak price for this accommodation. . when we booked the holiday, the confirmation information said that this park has wifi, we were told on day 1 that 'we don't advertise wifi', we generally felt the couple running the lodges were quite defensive and not open to feedback. . it was a great holiday and i'd love to visit the area again but unsure if we'd use the lodges after the maintenance issues we encountered.
Judith from Wigan (19 September 2015)

We were given a brand new executive lodge which was lovely and very spacious. bit upset that there were workmen directly opposite our lodge building 2 new lodges and they arrived at 8am on the sunday to start work. whilst they didn't make lots of noise not quite the relaxing break we hoped for. once finished the park will be lovely and is really peaceful and just a few minutes walk from the village. would definitely recommend it.
Joe from Christchurch (19 September 2015)

Generally good accommodation although we had issues with the showers that were never resolved. The mattresses were also very uncomfortable as were the sofas. The lodge itself is also in a bit of a dip so is very dark.
Customer 111 from Leeds (12 September 2015)

Excellent holiday beautiful lodge. Just couple comments as the lodge was brand new could do with communal downstairs loo as getting out of hot tub you have to go right thru lodge to your bedroom also could do with the hot tub and seating being under cover as the seating cushions are getting ruined in rain and its not nice in hot tub with rain on your head
Elaine from Chesterfield (07 September 2015)

We stayed in sunset lodge 7 for two weeks. We had a fabulous time in and around snowdonia and the house was perfect for our family of four plus a set of grandparents, it really is a very generous size. The grounds of the site are perfect for kids to run around in and we all had fun relaxing in the hot tub, but...the beds were terribly uncomfortable to the point where we had to ask the second set of grandparents taking over for the second week to bring mattress toppers for both double beds to make it bearable. Then we move on to the sofa, the likes of which I have never experienced before. I can only compare it to trying to sit on a triple humped camel! these few but pretty crucial components really let what is otherwise a fab holiday house down. We would gladly return and have already recommended artro lodges to other friends but strongly urge the owners to replace the mattresses and crazy sofa if they want to achieve the higher ratings the property actually deserves. Please note there is also no wifi on the site as advertised.
Am from Bristol (29 August 2015)

Fantastic accommodation, great location, will definitely go again.
John from Welshpool (01 August 2015)

Fantastic location, clean tidy & very spacious. everthing needed for a self catering holiday. We had a great time & would definitely visit again!
Angie from Rugby (01 August 2015)

Unfortunately the lodges were quite uncomfortable, I really should have complained to the owner but we didn't want the hassle as we were exhausted. The sofa in our lodge was broken so I had to bring the bedroom chair down to sit on and the beds were lumpy and hard. Sadly I came back needing a rest. The showers worked, but were a little smelly and the kitchen had greasy door handles and worktops and could have been cleaner. I am disappointed and would not stay there again.
Sue from Loughborough (18 July 2015)

6 of us went for a friends 50th birthday had a fabulous time, the lodge was beautiful and had everything we needed. A short walk to train station, shop and a local pub which serves lovely food, . will definitely go again with my family
Confirmed Holidaymaker from Telford (13 July 2015)

The lodge and hotbub was great but unfortunately there a lot of roadworks going on in the area when we were there which made it difficult to get about. Otherwise we had a great holiday and would visit artro lodges again
Valerie from Heywood (04 July 2015)

Lovely lodge, very comfy, warm and cosy, plenty of room for four people, only problem was the large settee, very uncomfortable, springs gone maybe, hot tub lovely,
Jane from West Kingsdown Kent (20 June 2015)

Wonderful quiet location but with easy access to the surrounding areas. Sheltered from all but the worst of the wind. No inconvenience from the construction works on the site. Nice to see the odd "visitors" to the site (local sheep and ducks).

Hello. . this holiday was for my 50th birthday celebrations. . overall I absolutely loved the break away but I was disappointed with the accommodation. . there was a leak over the ground floor bed from the room upstairs and when I contacted the owner the response was I will try to get someone there but it is a bank holiday. . . her father in law came to see us but could offer no solution, would try to get someone but unlikely. and no one came. the leak persisted. . my daughter in law is pregnant hence booking a lodge with ground floor accommodation and could not make it upstairs. . the final day there was a further leak into the lounge all over the floor..not too impressed. . I realise a great rate for the holiday but it was not without problems. . the outdoor area could have been cleaned a little better, the outdoor table was filthy and the decking needed a good sweep. I say this because that is where you are when using the hot tub so heavily utilised. . there were a few things that could have made it a 100% fantastic weekend break. . I absolutely loved it there, but it has put me off going back because of the problems and the lack of resolution to them. . otherwise a delightful 50th :)

Excellent- everything was there, it was like home from home- we didn't see any staff until we needed them - our gas cylinder ran out and within 10 minutes we had a new supply!the only reason I didn't give 10 out of 10 for surroundings was the view- just nothing to see but other lodges may have had a better one. The location was fab- near to the village of llanbedr and most importantly 5 minutes away from the pub! i'd definitely recommend a stay to friends (which I have done already)

We went to artro lodges friday - monday and had a lovely long weekend. Staff didn't bother us once, i'm sure if we had any queries they would have been more than happy to help though. The lodges were clean and homely and the hot tubs were fab. Only qualm was that there seemed to be a lot of chlorine in the water which irritated a few of our skins (this could be rectified by taking the floating chlorine container out of the water though). all in all we had a fantastic weekend and would definitely return.

The location was good, the lodge was lovely, and we really enjoyed the hot tub. But the furniture is awful. The sofa seats are like three sacks of potatoes, and the double beds are really cheap, small and uncomfortable. A pity - we would definitely return if the furniture was upgraded. As it stands - there are plenty of alternatives!

We arrived slightly early and found that part of the site was a building site. We were given directions to our lodge by family members. The lodge was a bit dated, there was washing in the washing machine that was collected the day after our arrival. The hot tub, one of the reasons we chose this site, was not ready for use on our first night.

Arrived at the lodges and first impressions as we drove up to the lodge was how big they are, when we walked in and had a look round they really had the wow factor the had every thing that you would need and more, we went with friends and partners for a chilled weekend break and enjoyed the hot tub but I will be returning with my family. We ventured to the local pub/hotel to watch the rugby the local people made us feel very welcome we really enjoyed our time at the lodges
Cherree from Warrington (02 March 2015)

Was a lovely lodge. I was disappointed there wasn't a log fire in our lodge as it doesn't specify on the dad that there are some lodges without them. Could've been slightly cleaner. Other than that, was lovely and the hot tub is amazing.
