Warm welcome from mel and rob and full explanation as to how everything worked, including the hot tub. A beautiful cottage that had all the home comforts, including a comfortable bed. The cottage is very roomy, particularly with the conservatory. Unfortunately due to a family accident we had to return home after only one day, but we will undoubtedly return in the future. Betty from Maidstone (19 June 2015)
The cottage is beautiful and perfect for an unexpected need for a break!. surrounding areas - stunning. Owners friendly, kind and helpful and their sons were so welcoming and helpful too. Harry the dog is a delight!. wood burner great for weather changes and the hot tub - so inviting and enjoyable!. flowers in the cottage - fresh eggs waiting and a bottle of local wine all waiting to be enjoyed Paul from Swaffham, Norfolk (05 June 2015)
A very relaxing break in a beautiful spot. the cottage was lovely, clean with plenty of space. the hot tub was a bonus and enjoyable to wind down in at the end of the day. mel was very welcoming and although the cottage is right next to the owner's house, this was not intrusive in any way and we hardly saw them. we were not at all bothered by the cctv cameras mentioned in other reviews. a nice touch was the home made wine and eggs courtesy of the chickens roaming the garden. both were delicious. the cottage was very well equipped. the only thing that we felt let the cottage down slightly was the bathroom. a very weak shower over a small bath and a plastic sink. surprising contrast to the high quality of everything else. we will definitely return. Sandra from Ware (17 April 2015)
A brilliant relaxing break surrounded by beautiful views and lovely accommodation. will definitely book it again. Lisa from Birmingham (10 April 2015)
A lovely cottage for two in a great location. The hot tub is amazing and the nearby vineyard definitely worth a visit - it's produce best enjoyed in said hot tub!. the owners are also lovely and very accommodating. It's worth noting that there are no local taxi firms and any you book come from quite a distance and subsequently charge a fortune - a three mile trip to a local pub for dinner £25 - ouch!! Alexandra from Cheltenham (16 March 2015)
This is a lovely cottage, clean with pleasant owners. The down points are that it is overlooked by the owners property (including a ccvd camera next to the hot tub). the check in was not until 5.30pm & we was only advised this after booking. The tracks to the property are single & very difficult to negotiate in a wide or low car. There are lovely walks straight from the door & the vineyard is great to visit. Carri from Derby (16 January 2015)
Apart from oven being dirty the rest of the stay was faultless. Friendly welcoming owners. Beautiful grounds. Definitely would return Heather from Eastbourne (08 December 2014)
Lovely cottage lovely welcome from hosts Michael from Derbyshire (05 December 2014)
Lovely cottage. Clean, tidy and with a hot tub that we never wanted to get out of. . the owners were very helpful and if we needed somthing were more than happy to help. . . the owners house is close to the cottage as other reviews say but at no point do it feel awkward or as if the owners would be watching. This was no issue for us. . we took our dog and the owners were more than happy for the dog to be walked in their own garden. This made life very easy as the surrounding roads are very dark of an evening. . . overall this was a great stay in a great cottage in a lovely and relaxing cottage. I would recommend a stay at the old winery Steve from Romford (14 November 2014)
Very nice place. Treated good by owner. Wine and eggs on arrival. . good time in hot tub. Glenn from Atherstone (07 November 2014)
A wonderful cottage with stunning views. Mel and john were fantastic hosts (we both hope you are well soon mel). we will definitely be back if you will trust me with the controls to the hot tub again! roger & doreen Roger from Coventry (17 October 2014)
Warm & comfortable cottage, beautifully decorated. friendly and helpful owners next door. Hot tub all ready for use when we arrived (in october), with a complimentary bottle of wine and pot of home made jam. our dog was allowed to be exercised in the owners garden. Sarah from Royston (10 October 2014)
As some other reviewers commented, the cottage is in home owners garden, but in no way did we feel watched or overlooked. They were very helpful in fact and welcoming. The hot tub is amazing. Location wise, you do need to be a confident driver for this magnificent off the beaten path location. Mair from Flintshire (15 September 2014)

What an absolutely fantastic holiday cottage. well equipped, great location, warm welcome. Will stay again. Maria (09 May 2014)
It wasn't stated that the cottage was on the grounds of the owners and whilst they were lovely we felt we couldn't relax all week Sarah from Swansea (02 May 2014)
Absolutely loved this place. It is very quiet and peaceful so if that's what you are looking for it is absolutely perfect. The owners were fabulous; on hand if you needed them but left you alone if that's what you wanted. The hot tub was amazing and the surrounding country lanes and fields of vineyards were stunning. Also, the owners home made wine was the best i've ever had!! Kerry from Mansfield (28 April 2014)
Seriously relaxing stay, will be back! Clare from Powys (18 April 2014)
