Lovely spacious cottage perfect for family of 6. Chris from Edinburgh (11 April 2015)
Beautiful, well equipped house with the most amazing views. Remote and very peaceful. A real get away from it all Rebecca from Derbyshire (04 April 2015)
A really good sized house with ample room for everyone. Midway between eyemouth and berwick made it accessible to all amenities. As we were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary with family and friends, we spent most of our time in the large kitchen/diner. Our dog loved the large garden and his trips to coldingham beach. We were lucky with the weather, therefore benefited from having lovely sea views. One observation, the television kept losing its signal from time to time. George from Newark Upon Trent (28 March 2015)
An excellent family get away..far enough out to feel like you're miles from any where, but only 5 mins to berwick which has everything you need. The cottage itself was impressively kitted out with everything you need and the owner was extremely friendly and approachable. The only downside was the comfort of the sofas, but it is by no means a criticism. We would definitely stay here again and would thoroughly recommend to anyone wanting a stunning scottish getaway. Helen from Near Leeds (21 February 2015)
Amazing house, lovely to spend time with friends infront of the fire drinking. . not great for walks, but great for the beaches if you have dogs. . . bedrooms were quite cold. very nice layout of house. Nicholas (24 November 2014)
We had a fantastic holiday at stonebank house. The accommodation was spacious and there was plenty of room for all 8 of us within the property. It's in a remote location with stunning views. The wood burner was lovely and the central heating worked well. I have no complaints at all about this property and would definitely stay here again. Amanda from Bonnyrigg (17 October 2014)
Excellent. Would not hesitate to book again. Sandy from Carluke (15 September 2014)
Well equipped house. Eileen from Town (16 August 2014)
Fabulous place to stay, slightly out of the way so had to put all the kids in the car and drive if we went anywhere. But lovely area with plenty of things to see and do. Deborah from Elgin (02 August 2014)
Many positives to mention. house is very big, with plenty of room, layout is good and rooms good size. location is good just few miles from berwick and other towns and v.easy access to a1. No traffic noise in house and very little in garden, barely noticeable. garden is lovely and large and access easy for all. views are quite spectacular and eating outside is a lovely idea in the evening. Owner was helpful and friendly. . . some negatives. house is tired and decor knocked and chipped from occupants. two sofas not comfy in lounge, 3rd sofa is a futon and most comfy of lot. tv and dvd player are archaic and tv signal patchy. the dvd player remote didn't work while we were there which meant the player didn't work unless the dvd automatically started on english, so we had to go and buy one from argos and be reimbursed by the owner which meant 3 mile drive to berwick. don't think it unfair to say for the money the dvd should work and if it doesn't I shouldn't be the one to go and replace it while i'm on holiday. if the owner lived nearer this wouldn't be a problem. tv signal is not owners fault but if you put in the write up that you have free view, the you should have it, or make it clear that the signal is patch - very annoying throughout world cup final! to be fair it could have been the old tv. . the kitchen was excellent but the fridge was a small under counter one, which for 8 people is frankly useless, never mind 10 which it could sleep. food (and booze) for 8 people lasted about 2 days so meant we had to shop a lot more than we would have liked. . back door was super awkward to unlock. Neighbours dog visited the garden 2 or 3 times and left "presents". . the floors are very creaky upstairs as are the doors so walking about quietly is difficult if your trying not to wake people, although wife slept fine with ear plugs. . . we enjoyed our break and feel there are many positive to the house and area but wouldn't stay again. John (19 July 2014)
A beautiful house in a beautiful location. Stayed as a family of 6 and there was ample space for us all. Private garden was an added benefit as we took our german shepherd with us. We would definitely stay again. Confirmed Purchaser from Leicestershire (10 August 2013)
This accommodation was of excellent quality and great home for our family get together!! Mrs M from Airdrie (29 June 2012)
