It was a lovely cottage, very spacious and perfect for a family. The games room was one of the best we have known. Janine from Kidderminster (28 June 2015)
Needs a new bed in the main bed room! the base kept breaking mattress would suddenly drop whilst on it. Report whilst there they looked and fixed it allegedly but soon broke again that night great place but the bed spoilt the week!! . . also the cottage you was allowed dogs but the back garden isn't dog friendly Chris from Hull (30 May 2015)
Lovely stay, nice quality accommodation. good location, really close to shrewsbury, we travelled to the ironbridge museums, ludlow and had some lovely walks around the cottage. we tried the local pub nag's head and had wonderful food, we also tried the local fish and chip shop which was very nice, generous portions! Carey from Bristol (11 April 2015)
Very well presented cottage, the games room is also very good. Dan from Peterborough (09 March 2015)
Just perfect Mike from Belper Derbyshire (14 February 2015)
The cottage was beautiful. We stayed as a mixed group of adults for a belated birthday getaway but would highly recommend this for any form of getaway from friends to family. The cottage was clean and well equiped. The added touch of fresh towels and tea/coffee/milk were a lovely bonus. Will 100% be staying again. Amanda from Davies (01 February 2015)
Overall acceptable but cooking utensils in poor condition ie. Pans and kitchen knives. Unfortunate accident with oven glove in such poor condition that I suffered a burn. Personally I didn't like the layout but it would suit others. Beds were fine and heating was great but childrenscroom with bunk beds had no ventilation as no windows. David from Rochdale (01 November 2014)
A bat was loose in the house on arrival. The plug in the bathroom sink let out water, the owner of the house did not appear concerned that we could not use the sink. Having dropped something in the bedroom we had to move the bed, this must have been for the first time, it was thick with dust and cobwebs. On examination there was dust on the slats of the single beds. More money should be spent on mattresses, the beds were uncomfortable. The cottage is in a good location back needs attention spent on it. Gary from East Grinstead (24 May 2014)
Just had to say what a great stay we had at Shippon Cottage. My sisters from America and Scotland and myself from Wales with our families stayed for a week at the cottage and had the most wonderful time. It was such a peaceful setting surrounded by countryside but also very convenient for Shrewsbury. In the village of Pontesbury, there was a great buthers/deli which sold great delights and nearby was a great local pub and fish and chip shop. There are other great places to visit including Minsterley. The accommodation was spacious and relaxing and had everything to hand. It was a great place to stay and we will be returning on a future visit to the area. Mrs W from Totland Bay (11 October 2011)
This was a beautiful cottage and exceeded our expectations. It was a perfect get away, and the owner was very accommodating and helpful throughout, and for this we were very grateful. We would not hesitate to recommend this holiday. Ms F from Glasgow (09 March 2010)
Fantastic accommodation in a beautiful location, we will definitely visit again!! Mrs. B from Liverpool (05 January 2010)
We had a short weekend break at Shippon cottage in Shrewsbury. The cottage was very clean, warm and comfortable. It had everything we needed. We really appreciated all the little extras, for example the biscuits, milk, soaps etc.My niece and nephew had great fun in the games room. The rooms were very nicely decorated and well prepared for our arrival. The weather was lovely and it was nice to be able to eat our breakfast outside. We would be very grateful if you would pass on our thanks and appreciation to the owner as we forgot to fill in the Visitor's book. Mrs F from Cambridge (21 September 2009)
I have no suggestions as there were no aspects that I think could / should be improvedThe property is a credit to the owner and to Hoseasons Mr S from Isle Of Man (15 August 2009)
A lovely holiday in a lovely location. Mrs W from Aylesbury (05 June 2009)
This cottage is outstanding, it had everything we needed. A lot of work has been put in to making the property as nice as it is and there are also some lovely walks nearby. Mrs T from March (05 May 2008)
