We all had a lovely time hot tub was very nice kitchin was a bit small and the kitchen utensils could do with uopdating.the saucpans and baking tray very grubby. The sofas were a bit uncomfortable. Bathrooms nice clean. Lots to do around kids loved wheelgate themepark. Samantha from Stevenage (20 February 2015)

We had a great time at rufford lodge. Close to sherwood pines, sherwood forest & centre parcs. . the garden was very private and the house clean & comfortable. The property manager was really helpful too. . we were a group of 10 and never felt overcrowded and enjoying the large dining table for socialising. A great find! Karen from Harrogate (01 December 2014)

Lovely & relaxing. Samantha (13 October 2014)
As a family to celebrate my 60th birthday, we all had a lovely week at rufford lodge, good weather, great lodge especially the hot tub and the jacuzzi bath. Lovely walks sherwood forest, pine forest. Recommended eating places the olde lion and the copper beach pub. We would recommend this holiday and we would definitely return. Anne from Somerset (09 August 2014)
The cottage is in a nice quiet lane. The place was fairly easy to find with the detailed instructions provided. On the bright side, daily essentials like dish washer tabs, garbage bags, salt, pepper etc were provided. One bathroom on the first floor which has a jacuzzi is very nice. Though the steam was not working. Areas of improvement- the floor mats looked grubby, and the exterior wall could do with a coat of paint. Also there were blond hairs on the bedding in one room and on the floor in the living room. No one from our party was blond. The hot tub is one of the most complicated i've seen and requires topping up with a garden hose! also one of the jets( pump 2) in the hot tub squirts water out in such a fashion that it is not possible to sit in the hot tub without getting the chlorinated water in your eyes! there is no way to only switch off this little fountain while keeping the jets! the hot tub should also ideally have a small roof so it can be enjoyed throughout the year. We were also not very happy to hear that there was a cctv camera in the garden and the hot tub and garden could be monitored by the owners. It seems like an invasion of our privacy though we were told it was for our safety! we just felt at the price charged the place should have been better maintained and more luxurious. All our expectations were met. Kafula from London (07 September 2013)
Fantastic lodge, very spacious and excellent location. The hot tub was outstanding, very hot and spacious. The lounge was definitely designed my a man with those recliners - could not ask any more. Will be back next year. Mrs W from Wetherby (18 November 2011)
We travelled to Rufford Park Lodge from Coogee Beach in Australia. My eldest son was getting married in Southwell and we searched online for a property close to Southwell for the extended family to stay in. We were thrilled with Rufford Park Lodge and so glad we had chosen it. The warm feel of the property and also the quiet surrounding area made it a welcome change from our busy city life in Sydney. A favourite was the hot tub and in my 3 year old Grandson's words "I love your holiday house, Nanna". That said it all for our family who stayed, and we would definitely recommend Rufford Park Lodge for family get-togethers. It was a memorable two weeks! Mrs B from North Balgowlah (10 October 2011)
Very spacious holiday cottage that was enjoyed by all. Mrs E from Swansea (08 September 2011)
Fantastic location and cottage, highly recommended. Mr D from Middlesbrough (14 July 2011)
Such a great little cottage in the middle of the countryside- we had a great getaway place from the hectic pace of London! Really a home from home and the hot tub made it extra special - thank you! Miss T from London (15 June 2011)
A great location away from it all, but only 10 mins drive from the nearest pub (Rose and Crown - recently renovated and had a lovely selection of drinks though didn't eat there). Close to Sherwood Forest and Southwell (the Workhouse and Abbey were very interesting) and Rufford Abbey was potentially walkable (through the private road) and a nice way to spend a sunny afternoon. Mrs B from Huddersfield (06 June 2011)
A group of 8 of us stayed at Rufford Park Lodge as it looked an ideal base for some off road cycling in Sherwood Forest. We were not disappointed as the Lodge was perfect for us. We found it clean, spacious, well furnished and well equipped. It was only a short ride for us to the trails around Sherwood Pines (the red route was so good we rode it twice!) but don’t ignore all the fantastic natural single-track in the forest as well. It was a slightly longer ride to the area surrounding Clumber Park, but well worth the effort. The XC riding in and around the area is for single speeds or geared bikes. The Lodge was a great please to chill out after a hard days riding as it had a good sized private area outside as well as a lawn to the front. We met the owners who were very pleasant and helpful. The Lodge should be even better now that the outside tub has been installed. Thanks to Steph as well. Mr R from Ryton (06 June 2011)
The owners of the property were wonderful at coming back to me with answers to my questions. It helped to make the trip personal and enjoyable. A great deal of care has gone into the property and it made you feel instantly at home. Miss F from Birmingham (26 May 2011)
