A lovely quaint cottage in a peaceful hamlet with friendly neighbours and a nice sunny back garden. Mike from Channel Islands (13 June 2015)
A great cottage in a lovely rural location- very welcoming. Only comment for other users to note is that parking is a little tight. We have a vauxhall zafira and the space was just enough. There's the use of a large garage, however this might be a bit of a hassle. Ian from Glasgow (17 April 2015)
The sofa and chairs in the lounge are not that comfortable. The bathroom is very basic. Apart from that the cottage is lovely, peaceful and well-equipped with kitchen utensils, games and a nice garden, too. The beds were very comfortable. The cottage is quaint and small, so you have to bend down if you're tall. Simon from Oxford (23 March 2015)
Loved october cottage and had a lovely week. The area is fantastic for walking. Darren from Cannock (20 February 2015)
Caretaker very confusing. Said we could arrive at 1.30 and to ring 5 minutes before arrival, which we did, only to be told the cleaner arrived late for family reasons and could we go somewhere and return to the cottage at a later time. Very hard to understand him over the phone. Garden was lovely and the cottage would have scored higher if wi-fi was made available. Bathroom probably could do with an update compared to most of the cottages we have stayed in previously. Robert from London (22 August 2014)
We had a very pleasant stay, the weather was good made use of the garden. visited the new forest and stour head which took an hour each way. the building is very old but got used to its querks, however a more modern bathroom would greatly enhance the experience. Fred from Wilmslow (08 August 2014)
It's a really charming cottage, with a beautiful big garden. We travelled with a small child and appreciated a lot the fact that the owners provided some toys, books and a security gate for upstairs. Anna from Brussels (07 June 2014)
We found october cottage an oasis of calm and the surrounding countryside was most beautiful. Coming unexpectedly on wilton windmill was a joy. The cottage exceeded our expectations and we were most impressed by the high quality of everything. We even took our own video with commentary to remind us of a very happy few days spent here. William from Tenbury Wells (25 April 2014)
Although the cottage had many good features (including an excellent garden and a garage for the car), a proper shower would have made a huge difference to our enjoyment. Mr S from Bo'ness (28 May 2011)
Wonderful holiday in a traditional and well appointed cottage. Mrs L from Orpington (24 April 2011)
This is a great base to explore Wiltshire and Somerset. Mr M from Hastings (23 August 2010)
The October Cottage was a splendid place to have a holiday and get to know the life of English countryside. There are plenty of those traditional towns, beautiful nature, walks and of course Stonehenge, Bath etc. The cottage itself is a marvellous house like from a fairy tale, fully equipped and even having its own car garage - excellent! Mr S from Helsinki (04 August 2009)
There are magnificient paths to hike, and near Collingbourne there are plenty of nice small towns and villages to pay a visit to. Mr S from Helsinki (04 July 2009)

Peaceful countryside and roads! Mr D from Ashford (20 February 2009)
