We enjoyed our stay at this cottage, the location and ease of access to the surrounding area is very good. The cottage has been very nicely laid out and has all amenities necessary. The only criticism is that the cottage has really strong smelling air fresheners in all rooms which are slightly overpowering, I am not sure if this is linked to the fact that when it rains the master bedroom smells of drains or damp, so we had to move into one of the other bedrooms. Sandra from Derbyshire (23 May 2015)
A wonderful lodge in a stunning location. Very comfortable with all mod cons. Peaceful but near all tourist attractions. 10/10. Joanne from Woking Surrey (11 April 2015)
Lovely lodge , well equipped & decorated . warm comfortable & great views . Michelle from Argyll (03 January 2015)
Absolutely love this place.have been 3 times to this lodge, once with previous owners and twice with present owners.we have also been to mountain rose next door.they have always been beautiful but since the owners renovated again last year it is just fabulous.lodge is in a wonderful location and is spotless with everything you could want.you could want.the addition of an ensuite shower room is great as is the underfloor heating in the tiled areas.the hotel at opposite end of drive has wonderful food and views.the lodge is perfectly situated for you to explore the highlands.we started going here when we lived in the uk.we now live in australia and have been home 3 times in the last 5 years and each time we have booked a week here.we will be back. Doreen from Brisbane Australua (18 October 2014)
An amazing lodge with stunning views along loch lochy. We really can't fault anything about the cleanliness etc, it really was a home from home. . inverness, loch ness, fort william and skye all within easy reach. Skye definitely worth a visit!!. only minor downside..no internet Christopher from Bootle (20 September 2014)
Very nice cottage in superb location overlooking loch lochy, centrally located between fort william and loch ness. Very well equipped, nicely decorated. The letterfinlay hotel is just 300 yards away and offers great meals on their wonderful terrace. An ideal cottage if you are visiting this area. Ron from Utrecht, Nl (26 July 2014)
Absolutely great lodge in a great setting. The early morning and evening views from the living room were priceless, though the great weather helped. A wonderful location and great if you want to get away from everything but within a reasonable distance of amenities should you need anything. Proximity to the hotel was a bonus and again stunning views from their deck across the loch. The only reason I haven't put more 10's is i've yet to try other places that might be just be 10s. Ian from Swindon (31 May 2014)
Yes, would highly recommend. The location is brilliant and it is within such easy reach of Ben Nevis, mountain range, Great Glen way, West Highland way - catering for cycling, walking, climbing. Countryside around is simply stunning and the Letterfinlay hotel, just a few minutes walk away - very friendly and very good food. Would love to come back. the cottage/lodge, had great facilities inside, was warm, good sized kitchen, well equipped and spacious living room. Everything worked well and info inside was excellent and thorough. Mrs L from Hertford (13 June 2011)
Really great spot beautiful views of Loch Lochy and the surrounding mountains. Would highly recommend this for anyone, peaceful but also perfectly situated for all the places to visit. Skye, Loch Ness and various mountain ranges. Baird Family from Falkirk. Mr B from Falkirk (10 May 2011)
Beautiful location - totally relaxing holiday Mrs S from Forfar (26 April 2011)
We loved Mountain Thyme Lodge! The most amazing view; right by the loch-side, surrounded by beautiful mountains, close to Ben Nevis, Loch Ness and the lovely Fort Augustus. This lodge was perfect for our needs, we have a very enthusiastic jack-russell, so the hardy door mats and leather couches were a bonus! We saw grouse walking down to the loch from our window and Ben Nevis from gondola ski-lifts. Breathtaking views, lovely meals and very friendly locals. Great place to stay all round! Ms O from Wakefield (26 February 2011)
Very cosy and well thought out interior. Fantastic location by the loch side, ideal location for access to the glen Nevis, glen Shiel and Glencoe Monros and great value to boot. If you are a hill walker you will stuggle to find a better place to base yourself! Mr K from Havant (12 October 2010)
Mountain thyme lodge has an excellent location, within easy reach of many popular locations. The lodge itself has very good facillities and furnishings. I would recommend to everyone. Mr M from Portsmouth (04 October 2010)
Excellent standard of accommodation in a wonderful setting! Mr W from Leicester (22 August 2010)
Beautiful location at lake side. Easy access to nearby hotel, busy so reserve table for good food. Ideal location for touring in the west coast region of of Scotland. Mr. B from Watford (04 June 2010)
An excellent lodge well furnished and in a good locations for wildlife and birds or just relaxing. Good for exploring NW Scotland, Skye a good day out, scenery breathtaking. Mrs C from Ipswich (28 September 2009)
A fabulous base to explore the Great Glen - fantastic for 3 couples having 3 double/twin rooms rather than 2 and a sofabed in the lounge. There are lovely walks and boat hire within a couple of miles. Make sure you go over the amazing pass to the beautiful Glen Elg and catch the ferry over to Sky. The ferry is owned by the local community and is the only type of its kind still in use anywhere, (its only a tenner and all proceeds go to keeping this 150 odd year old service going). Book it or miss out! Mr C from Derby (20 August 2009)
Brillant Setting and Location. A real Get away from it all (Best enjoyed in good weather but a snowy winter break might be interesting) Better equipped lodge than expected, With owner very helpfull and only a phone call away. Mr W from Chichester (16 August 2009)
A well located cottage which was clean and well decorated. The Hotel in the grounds was a bonus with great meals and bar. The location was peaceful and awe inspiring. I have already recommended this cottage to my friends and cannot wait to book again. Miss S from Dumfries (05 June 2009)
A great property with stunning views, and a good location to cover the Highlands. Mrs M from Nottingham (09 August 2008)

Fantastic scenery & accommodation Mrs C from East Grinstead (14 June 2008)
What a place to be on holiday! Excellent accommodation and surroundings. I would recommend this place to any person in the land! For any fishermen out there, this is the place to be - excellent!! Mr M from Airdrie (24 September 2007)
Lovely cottage on the banks of the lovely Loch Lochy. The dogs loved it and the wife loved it - heaven! Mr M from London (16 June 2007)
The accommodation was excellent, very relaxing, very quite and a most enjoyable holiday. The fishing points were excellent! Mr M from Airdrie (25 September 2006)
Holidaying in this area was very good with a wide range of activities available i.e walking, Wildlife sanctuaries, Glen Nevis and the Ben itself. Loch Ness and Fort Augustus all offer a wide choice of things to do at a relatively cheap cost. Mrs T from Newbury (26 August 2006)
