Very pleasant and well appointed cottage and very helpful and friendly owners. Very good pub nearby which is difficult to get to due to it's location on the a66 and there being no pathway. Mick from Retford (23 May 2015)
The owners could not have been more welcoming or helpful. The cottage was very comfortable and well equipped. The adjacent field was very secure and a wonderful area for dogs. An excellent location for visits both locally and furtheraway. Confirmed Purchaser from Somerset (30 October 2014)
Holiday good, the only drawback was being beside a really busy road therefore a worry with our young dog, if there was a fenced area around cottage this could have been better Roy from Sittingbourne Kent (27 September 2014)
Lovely cottage and beautiful scenery, but was not mentioned that it was very close to the a66 , a very busy road both day and night. Therefore was rather noisey which some people might not like. Kenneth from Saffron Walden (19 July 2014)
Excellent cottage, ideal for dogs, friendly owners, main road can be a bit tricky getting out, apart from that, no problems. Michael from Nottingham (14 June 2014)
We had a lovely stay. The accommodation was superb and nothing was too much trouble for our hosts Martin and Ann. Even though it was near a main road, the noise was minimal and the advantage was it was so easy to get places quickly and we visited the Lakes, Durham and surrounding places in time to have a day there and not spend our time travelling. The facilities are superb and we felt very much at home, everything was spotless and there are plenty of lovely restaurants in the area, also not far away. All in all a lovely holiday and we will definitely be returning - thanks for a lovely break! Mrs W from Hull (25 June 2011)
The cottage was very clean, warm and cosy, and the owners made you feel very welcome. A great location for exploring, and a very enjoyable stay. Mrs W from Deeside (31 May 2011)
Excellent accommodation, well situated to visit many areas of interest. Miss P from Manchester (24 August 2010)
Our holiday at mill Cottage was wonderful. The cottage is very clean and very well equipped, the owners have a nice welcome waiting for you when you arrive. The dogs loved the 3 1/2 acre field all to themselves to run aound in. The location is perfect for exploring the area, we even managed a day trip to Scotland. Mrs M from Sudbury (04 July 2010)
This was one of the best cottages me and my elderly parents have stayed in. It is really well appointed and ideal for those with walking difficulties as it is all on one level with wide access. The welcome from the family was lovely with fresh daffodils, Easter eggs, newly laid eggs from their chickens beside other little touches. The cottage is warm and cosy and has everything you need. The field for exercising my dog was a brilliant bonus I don't think she wanted to come home! Mrs S from Morley (13 April 2010)
A brilliant cottage and a very good holiday! Mr H from Southport (26 March 2010)
