Fantastic location and wonderful owners! Amanda from Dorking (29 May 2015)
The setting and cottage were perfect for us. We liked the open plan, living dining and kitchen layout, which meant we could all socialise. . the large windows and doors across the living space gave a fantastic view of the lake. . the two twin bedrooms are small but adequate. The kitchen utensils and ovenware could do with updating and adding to for guests who like to cook whilst away. Debbie from Maidstone (13 October 2014)
Lovely place . Roger (19 September 2014)
Location is excellent for exploring the wye valley and all it has to offer and if you play golf and/or enjoy fishing then this is the place for you. The property has all you need re equipment (we were 5 adults) and the utility room is very useful. The one downside, was that the beds were probably the most uncomfortable we've ever slept in. The double room is the best served of the three with wardrobe etc but the mattress was rock hard. The other two bedrooms had no storage and were only 2'6" beds which is fine for youngsters, but not for 6'4" adults. We would happily return to hartleton retreat as we had an enjoyable family time there, but only if the beds were sorted. Rachel from Grimsby (22 August 2014)
Very nice holiday lovely place, plenty open space outside for the kids, just wish the weather was a bit better, typical english summer. Owner leaves near bye , saw them once and they leave you to it, very helpful. Neil (15 August 2014)
The close proximity to the m50 which is very noisy makes sleeping in the upstairs part of the cottage quite difficult. The two bedrooms upstairs are very basic without any clothes hanging space. Denis from Sandhurst Berks (11 July 2014)
Ideal for fishermen and golfers. Mr B from Filey (20 March 2011)

Would highly recommend this cottage as its location is great for chilling and relaxing. If you have young children like us they will love the open spaces to explore within the grounds in safety. Superb location which was very private but close to all facilities for holidays in the area Mr P from Kings Lynn (26 September 2008)
Our only regret with this holiday, was that it wasn't long enough. My children aged 7 & 4 years cried when we left, which says it all. We had a wonderful time and would love to return. We took our dog who thoroughly enjoyed the garden and the walks were fantastic. We came back relaxed and refreshed. Miss C from Salisbury (22 August 2008)
This holiday was perfect for us and our dogs. The property and facilities were top class and I would highly recommend this holiday for for dog and non dog owners alike - it could not be improved on! Mr B from Bromley (13 July 2007)
