Had a lovely time. Cottage very clean and in a lovely rural setting. Well placed for getting to local places, although transport is needed. Owners most helpful and pleasant. Would happily go again. Melvin from Malvern (13 June 2015)
Great location, very comfortable lodge . Graham from Chelmsford (18 October 2014)
The lodge was immaculate and the lady who owns it obviously takes a lot of time and effort to maintain it and little touches that she did. Lovely and quiet and just a short drive to the town. All round fab break Adelle from Brierley Hill (09 June 2014)
Fantastic base to explore from. Very friendly and helpful owners. My scores are only dropped due to a slight lack of some kitchen tools - but that's partly because we actually like cooking! Lou (05 May 2014)
We had a lovely week and were made to feel very welcome by the family who owned the lodge. it was a beautiful setting and there were loads of great places to visit nearby, particularly for young children. we would definitely return here for another holiday and would highly recommend it. Kate (31 August 2013)
An amazing holiday, perfect location close to everywere we wanted to visit. Lovely owner made us all feel special, our children had a fab time. Mrs S from Darwen (08 October 2012)
The hospitality of the owners, the facilities and cleanliness of the lodge were `par excellence`. The situation of the property was the peaceful retreat my husband and I were needing. We are going to book again a.s.a.p. Mrs F from Newport Pagnell (22 May 2011)
Lovely well-kept and very comfortable wooden chalet with amazing views, great grassy area for children - we had a fabulous week here. Owners are very helpful and friendly. Great forest walks, adventure playgrounds and lots of outdoor attractions within 5 to 10 miles. Mr R from Loughborough (01 May 2011)
Field Lodge was excellent accomodation in beautiful surroundings. The owners are very wellcoming and the site is child friendly. A perfect base for visiting so many local family attractions including thomas land at drayton manor, conkers and twycross zoo. This was our 3rd holiday here and we will be returing again in the future. Mrs M from Liverpool (11 April 2011)
Lovely tranquil surroundings making for a relaxing away from it all break with good views of the surrounding countryside, yet not too far to travel to local attractions in the area. Mrs W from Norwich (03 April 2011)
Lovely accommodation, welcoming owners in a great location especially if you have children. Mr N from Chorley (30 March 2011)
Excellent base for visiting places as you're literally on 3 borders, derbyshire, staffordshire and leicester. Fantastic array of places for children - conkers is a must. There is also a beach at bretby garden centre! Mrs S from Halstead (06 September 2010)
Our cottage was extremely well equipped and the owner's attention to detail made all the difference, eg. tea bags and milk provided, a hot water bottle, a welcome box of shortbread and bottle of wine. The location was perfect for families with young children as there are plenty of places to visit without having to travel far. Mrs K from Harrow (21 April 2010)
This cottage was lovely and would recommend it to anyone, the owners were brilliant and very welcoming and very helpful. I would love to visit again soon Miss M from Leicester (11 November 2009)
This was our first stay in a cottage and our experience was very good. The cottage was the best, it was very clean and comfortable, the location is lovely as are the grounds. The owners were lovely and very welcoming and we would like to thank Rita and Alison very much for our lovely stay. We would recommend this cottage to anyone as its lovely. We had a very lovely and relaxing stay and we will definitely be visiting again soon hopefully. Miss M from Leicester (14 October 2009)
Highly recommended - the owners were very welcoming, and the the site was extremely handy for all the local heritage sites. It was also very peaceful, and relaxing. Mr B from Sheerness (08 June 2009)
We had a perfect holiday in this cottage. The furnishings and fittings in the house are all very new and good quality. The cottage has a very attractive setting with 360 degree views of the countryside. The owners could not have made more effort to be welcoming, especially for our young children. The cottage is situated very close to many attractions that are good for children – e.g. Drayton Manor/ThomasLand, Twycross Zoo, Snibston, Conkers, several country parks. There is a pub with very good food nearby, called the Cricketers. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone. Mr J from Tewkesbury (18 May 2009)
The owners of the property gave us a great welcome, which made us feel at home from the minute we arrived Mr C from Redcar (21 June 2008)
