Fab location, very close to skiing at glenshee. Excellent walks for the dogs with a specially fenced in field to let dogs run free. House lovely and cosy especially when we got the hang of the fires. Very spacious with all you could need for your stay, and bob was very helpful too. Sorelle from Reading (21 February 2015)
9th visit to this beautiful cottage. Amazing location, wildlife including red deer. lovely walks and visit to glen isla hotel is also recommended. This cottage is a must if you need relaxation and refueled. Christine (18 October 2014)
This was an excellent holiday cottage experience. The owner came to greet us and was an invaluable help in getting us acquainted with the house and laying the fire properly. I cannot rate him and the house highly enough. Stephen from Dartford (23 August 2014)
A great location ideal for getting away from the hustle and bustle. Great for walking and cycling. Philip from Great For Walking And Cycling. (26 July 2014)
A superb out of the way location to relax and enjoy the quietness of the surroundings. All rooms are a good size and very comfortable. Very pleased to see a full size freezer in the large kitchen. Malcolm from Huddersfield (21 June 2014)
Forget Samaritans go here for a week and all your problems will be resolved simply stunning and guarateed to sooth the soul. no room for improvement simply fantastic. Mr L from Glasgow (11 April 2011)
Just returned from a weeks holiday at Dalvanie Mill, very well recommended with some very nice touches from Bob the owner. Visited a few cottages in the area in the last few years but Dalvanie is by far the best, other holiday home owners should follow Bob's lead here can't recommend enough. Only thing missing was a hose to wash my car while her indoors was watching all the romantic movie channels(hey you can't have everything). Hopefully see you later in the year. Mr L from Glasgow (11 April 2011)
Fantastic location for a real "get away from it all" break. Bob, the owner, really helpful and considerate without imposing. Mrs G from Bishop's Stortford (03 January 2011)
We holiday in the UK every Autumn and I have to say, this is our favourite cottage and location yet. The cottage is well equipped and spacious. The location is remote but accessible and surrounded by wildlife (we even had a deer in the garden one morning). Try the walks around Linn of Dee. The drive through Glen Shee is worth the trip alone. There are some great walks near the cottage too and we will do more of these next year. I would write more, but don't want to spoil the surprises. Mr P from Worksop (01 November 2010)
I would love to recommend this cottage to others, but I fear I may not get in again! It was fantastic, the owner was most helpful, if you wanted him to be, otherwise he respected your privacy. Mrs H from Bingley (05 September 2010)
The owner bob could not do any more to make our stay better, very helpful with place to go and see. The cottage is in a perfect position to see wildlife and stroll amongst the hills. Mr G from Boldon Colliery (08 August 2010)
Great rural location. Nearby pottery with complimentary coffee. Lovely scenery, walks and of course wildlife. Everything from, chickens, woodpecker, deer, eagles, buzzards, sheep and cows. .... Very relaxing holiday, with approachable landlord but gave you space to enjoy your holiday. We have now been going back to Dalvanie for 4 years now. Bob is clearly doing something right in Glen Isla. Mrs P from Melrose (11 November 2009)
A first class property set in a beautiful part of the world where the owner couldn't have been any more helpful. Mrs M from Girvan (07 June 2009)
What a break, peace & quiet, lovely views & walks. We have had a lovely break, what a shame the week went so fast. Mr W from Burton-On-Trent (20 January 2009)
Most enjoyable stay, made to feel very welcome. Great hospitality, thanks, fabulous. Mrs C from Tranent (20 January 2009)
Thanks again. 3rd visit really enjoyed walking and exploring. Loads of deer on hills. See you again. Mrs P from Melrose (20 January 2009)
Scenic surroundings in a tranquill setting this is the idea location for a relaxing break. Mrs S from Newton Abbott (12 January 2009)
The owner has thought of everything. We arrived to a welcome bottle of wine and a Christmas present for each of us, with the fires ready to light. The dog run was an added bonus and meant we didn't worry when the dogs went outside. A truly relaxing environment, we had a wonderful Christmas and will definitely return. Mr A from Southampton (27 December 2008)
