Great apartment and location, however, the only negative was the temperamental shower! Claire from Dorset (27 June 2015)
Excellent location. A very convenient location for shopping and dining in york. Homely touches and extra facilities such as flowers, tea, coffee, sugar and milk are a reflection of the owners thoughtfulness. Dianne from Graby (12 April 2015)
Ideal property for visiting the centre of york and its many attractions. Anne from Keighley (10 April 2015)
Excellent location, short walk into the city centre,a bonus having a parking space and quiet and peaceful in the evening. Jeff from Blackpool (27 March 2015)
Great little cottage for 2, perfect location with everything you need inside. We had two minor issues with our stay, one being the dishwasher playing up on the last night and the second being the shower not staying at one temperature. Both only minor though and didn't affect our fantastic weekend break. Would definitely recommend it to anyone, and will be returning in the future. Jess from Brighouse (09 March 2015)
We had a great stay very clean & comfy great location , very quiet considering you are in the middle of york . very small bathroom had to side saddle toilet ! generally very good , fresh flowers , milk teabags & other essentials were provided which was a nice touch . we will definitely return xx Nicola from Bridlington (01 March 2015)
Really lovely flat, we'll definitely be back! Confirmed Guest (22 February 2015)
Lovely cottage in a great location for visiting york. Sue from Lancaster (06 December 2014)
Our. 3 year running and just booked for next year. Great little apartment in york with parking space. Location right beside city walls great for 2 people. But remember. Bathroom down stairs not problem as long as you know Keith from Co Durham (29 November 2014)
Excellent place to stay. So close to the centre with car parking. Very warm and comfortable. Highly recommend and would love to return in the future to see more of york. Karen from Dronfield (17 November 2014)
Great location. We visit york quite often and this was very near to the minster. Nowhere in york is far but this was a gem. Pity no dogs as we would be back next year. Stuart from Lowton (15 November 2014)
Very convenient for the city, and free off-road parking bay an excellent bonus. Access stairs steep and narrow. Bed is comfortable but very low, and has hard wooden surround. Tv very small, kitchen sink and taps awkwardly placed in corner of unit. View from window is of car park and recycling bins. Property would be difficult for guests with any disability, or the elderly, especially as the toilet is downstairs. Many guests have commented in the visitors book about these shortcomings, although most have left otherwise favourable comments, and some have visited several times. Jennifer from North Of England. (25 October 2014)
Well located accommodation for getting to know york - within minutes of the minster and the centre of york. We enjoyed our stay. David from Matlock (11 October 2014)
Enjoyed our second holiday at biggan mews. Location and a parking space make it ideal. Could not vacuum before we went as there was no sweeper or vacuum. Roger from Bridge Of Weir (05 September 2014)
Not sutible for me as disabled Nev from Runcorn (30 August 2014)
Lovely apartment perfect location Arthur (15 August 2014)
The cottage was ideally suited for 2 people and very close to everything york had to offer. My only critisisum was the sink in the kitchen was almost impossible to use for me, as I am only short and found it difficult to reach the taps and washing up was very uncomfortable. Would have prefered the sink to be on the side not in the corner and gone without the dish washer, which was not working any way. Stairs would be a problem for any one not completely fit and able. Brenda from Stotfold (28 June 2014)
A great week in york. Quiet accommodation very close to york minster and old town. Supermarket is close. Bathroom downstairs a surprise. Otherwise very good value. Bazz from Dunedin (24 May 2014)
Ideal location for town, lovely owner very freindly and helpful. Judy from Ludlow (17 May 2014)
The bed was very low that is why comfort is a 9 Mary from Paisley (09 May 2014)
Great cottage, great location, would recommend. Mrs M from Stoke-On-Trent (25 May 2011)
The property is in a wonderful location, right on the door step of the best part of York. The property was tastefully decorated and furnished, warm and very confortable. The owner was extremely polite and helpful. The extra touches of tea, coffee, milk and fresh flowers were gratefully received. All in all propably one of the best properties we have stayed in and is located a stone's throw away from so many great pubs and restaurants, you a really are spoilt for choice. We had a lovely, relaxing weekend that cost less than it would have done if we had stayed in the town centre Premier Inn. We will be back!! Mr G from Hull (07 February 2011)
This delighful property helped us to have a wonderful birthday weekend in York. Decorated and furnished in a very tasteful manner, the property is well equipped, warm and comfortable. The owner was very polite and helpful and even said we didn't have to rush to get off on the Sunday morning. This was on top of leaving us with tea, coffee, milk and fresh flowers! The property is in a great location, just a stone's throw from the beautiful Shambles area and the York Minster with their inspiring history. The added bonus is the property's closeness to many many great pubs and restaurants. You are spoilt for choice and for a lover of Real Ales you are in heaven! We will definitely return for a short break in York; especially when the cost is less that staying in a Premier Inn in the city centre. Highly Recommended. Mr G from Hull (06 February 2011)
An excellent location, and everything you could need was provided (milk and flowers included). Very cosy and warm. Mrs H from Derby (06 March 2010)
Very good location, short walk to all of York's attractions. Mrs. M from Farnham (23 January 2010)
The wall walk was brilliant and you could see York really well and parts of the Minster i have not seen, and plus its free. Mrs H from Scarborough (06 December 2009)
Already have recommended this cottage and your firm to many. Mrs T from Bootle (18 November 2009)
Biggan Mews is ideal for a short break as it is so convenient to all the sights of York, and it has the added advantage of a dedicated free parking space immediately outside the entrance which is a huge bonus. The accommodation is clean, comfortable and perfectly adequate for 2 people. We loved the fact that it was light and airy due to velux windows and the decor is very cheerful and tasteful. It is lovely there in summer and would be cosy in winter. Offers more freedom than staying in a hotel yet lots of good eating places nearby. Betty's Tea Rooms perfect for a treat - I would highly recommend this holiday. Mr B from Bristol (15 July 2009)
York is a relaxing and plenty to do place. This was our third visit and we have covered at last all the places of interest. There are lovely resturants & cafes, all with a lovely variety of food and always good service and cleanliness. Also worth a visit is Whitby, Pickering, Helmsley and Goathland village where they film the Heartbeat programme. Also Eden Camp, the prisoner of war camp during the second world war - there is such a variety of things to do. Our accommodation at Biggan Mews was an ideal location for the centre of York, not even a five minute walk from the town. We had a lovely time once again in York and the surrounding places, and the yorkshire people are really welcoming. Mrs K from Ayr (28 June 2009)
A great location less than 5 minutes from the town. Good facilities and everything you need is catered for, including a dishwasher. Little touches such as a dishcloth and washing up liquid made it much easier. Miss G from Rushden (20 February 2009)
I would recommend, this holiday home to anyone who wanted to be close to the centre of York. Mr P from Nuneaton (02 February 2009)
Very nice relaxing stay in York, very central, accommodation perfect, would definitely recommend. Mr B from Stirling (26 January 2009)
This cottage is well located for places of interest. Mrs T from Cirencester (23 May 2008)
A nice property in a great location - York is a fantastic city with lots to do! Mrs C from Dunkinfield (11 April 2008)
