Stunning and spectacular parc in a superb location on lake maggiore
Dudley from Bedford (13 September 2015)

We arrived later than planned and there were no numbers on the tents or walkways it took us over an hour to find the tent in the dark. It was probably the worst tent to find in the dark hidden right in a corner with no recognisable access. When we got there the light was on and the tent full of mosquitoes and the reason we didnt stay the pillows and matresses were very damp bordering on wet. maybe the sun never got through the trees to reach this tent. We left found a hotel and checked in for the week.
Giuseppe from Oxford (03 September 2015)

The site is beautiful and located near to a very pretty town with lots of restaurants and the lake to swim in. . however the courier was disappointing and the tent was in less than perfect condition. The electrics didn't work properly, the zip on the door was broken . and we flooded one night due to heavy rain. You'd was no ones fault but the courier was indifferent to the event and made no attempt to check if we were ok. We stayed at 5 sites and by far this was the worst accommodation and the most indifferent courier we came across. Shame because it's such a great place to visit.
Liz (30 August 2015)

We had a fantastic holiday with eurocamp and loved both locations, but the eurocamp courier at valle romantica was poor and we were very disappointed with the accommodation - the weather really didn't help as on the first day we had torrential rain and the whole place smelled musty.
Sarah from Princes Risborough (30 August 2015)

Great location with superb views.
Maxine (29 August 2015)

Our stay at valle romantica was seriously marred by the fact that babies are not allowed in the swimming pool, we have 3 children under the age of 3! we did not see any special baby pool. We did not see any playground. We paid to use the local beach but now see your brochure says the beach is free to use. Our tent smelt very strongly of damp. Our second tent was fine.
Charlotte (28 August 2015)

Great location. Campsite good for children. Lake close. Plenty to see and do. Italy cheaper option than switzerland just across the border. Good holiday all round.
Guy from Aylesbury (28 August 2015)

Great park in a lovely area - ideal if you like walking, cycling and the outdoors. We were a little bit unlucky with the weather but that's the only thing I can complain about!
Penrhyn (25 August 2015)

Not enough tourist information on the site. Lovely small friendly parc in lovely grounds. Nice shady pitch. Loved visiting connobio and the views over the lake were excellent.
Customer 9 (22 August 2015)

Romantica is a beautiful site. Immaculately kept with private pitches and a lovely pool. The washing and toilet blocks are spotless and the little restaurant serves basic but food food. We have been holidaying with eurocamp and similar companies around europe for years and felt this year the accommodation let us down. We stayed in a maxi tent which felt grubby and it wasn't fully equipt having to ask the vourirfor things that were missing. I feel that the bent could do with modernising as they felt tired and old. We stayed in 4 other campsites this trip and felt that the accommodation lacked in consistency. Whereas some were perfect, others below standard. I would 100% visit romantica again as its a stunning place but would not stay in a eurocamp tent of the same standard.
Emma from London (18 August 2015)

Gorgeous area with beautiful views. Have visited better parcs. Toilet & shorts are dated and often had to que. Nice restaurant on site and fairly good value. Not a great deal to do for older children other than the pool which is quite small.
Emma (14 August 2015)

Great holiday in a beautiful parc, so relaxing and perfect for a complete get away. The kids love the river and the lake, and are fully entertained from morning till night.
Tamsin from Cambridge (13 August 2015)

Very little in the way of facilities. I would not visit again, glad we where only using for stopover. Eurocamp charged alot a night for old, tired accommodation.
Aiden from Sutton Coldfield (10 August 2015)

Campsite facilities need updating, no toilet paper or soap in wash places. Tent leaked! on the plus side the restaurant is good !
Joanne (10 August 2015)

This is our 5th eurocamp / keycamp holiday in recent years and I have to say the most disappointing yet. . . the park is advertised as having a pool complex with a 'separate small pool for babies/toddlers' - in actual fact this 'small pool' for babies and toddlers is a 1 m diameter inflatable paddling pool, which obviously is not fit for purpose. The pool operated with highly restrictive opening hours for high season, not opening until 10.30, closing again for lunch, and closing for the day at 5:30pm. given it was the only area of the campsite that got much sun after 5.30pm, it is a real shame it did not stay open later. . . as you arrived at the site, they had a narrow entrance, v difficult for cars to pass each other, with only wooden fencing concealing steep drops to the side. not relaxing for when arriving/departing the site. . . the facilities were very basic. the small shop was adequate but the listed 'bar', 'restaurant' and 'takeaway' were actually all in fact one establishment serving very restricted menus at lunchtime and for takeaway. staff at the restaurant, and throughout the campsite were not overly friendly, with some exceptions. . . eurocamp pictures were variable but often small, but some with nice views? ours was very close to the bushes allowing for lots of wildlife e.g. Mice, at night. the tent was also very old with some fixtures e.g. The roll-up awning broken, and our fridge had to be changed because it was not working. to be fair our courier did her best and helped move the fridge and replace it with another but that one had no freezer door, which was not ideal. we had a real issue with mosquitoes but I guess you take that chance when travelling to italy. . connobio itself was a lovely beautiful tourist town with fantastic views over the lake, and great traditional markets. It's a shame the lakefront was in shade during the evening. Areas to visit on boat trips were stunning, and the ease of access to switzerland was a bonus. . . there were no large supermarkets nearby which might not bother some people but the small ones in town were overcrowded and not relaxing to shop in. . . in summary, this is a lovely stunning area of italy that I would be happy to return to but would not stay in valley romantica again, and am disappointed with the eurocamp experience this year compared to others. . .
Brigid (06 August 2015)

Lovely parc, and the access to the river was brilliant. Enjoyed being able to cycle to the local ton along the bike path.
Annette (25 July 2015)

Good nice area
John (20 July 2015)

Good holiday. The campsite facilities were good - shop, restaurant and shower block very good. The euroamp pitch was poor - little shade and mainly dirt and weeds around the tent. The highlight for us was the neighbouring river which was fantastic for swimming in next to the campsite or cycling or walking up to magnificent gorges which strong swimmers could swim up. Spectacular.
Gordon from Edinburgh (12 July 2015)

Wooded, mainly flat site, next to river which many people swim in, 2 miles easy walk to cannobio on lake maggiori. Nice relaxed feel on site, well maintained, attractively planted with flowers
Peter from South Wales (11 July 2015)

It is so difficult to find the site because of trees that hide the signs that even when we are outside it can easily be missed. The courier has spoken to the owner but to no avail.
Paul from Great Yarmouth (29 June 2015)

Very pretty campsite, cannobio is a foodies dream, campsite family run restaurant so friendly. Great holiday
Matthew (26 June 2015)

We only stayed at the campsite one night due to the terrible weather, the fact that water was streaming into our tent in the morning and the forecast for the following three days was more of the same. The nearby river whilst nice to look at kept us awake for some time due to the volume of water flowing down it. From what I can recall there were quite a few rules/restrictions placed on campers. Campsite felt quite closed in due to the setting.we can only praise your customer services for being able to accommodate our request to move campsite at such short notice. Much appreciated. You saved the holiday!
Robert from Edinburgh (24 June 2015)

The parc is set in a lovely place with its own secluded spot set in a beautiful garden and a river running by, it was all very picturesque. There are lovely walks both down to cannobio and also up to a couple of churches nearby, I didn't have to do much driving which I was quite pleased about -the roads and local drivers are scary! unfortunately weather was not good, we had a 24 hour thunderstorm!
Shirley from Reading (20 June 2015)

Small parc but very pretty.
Abigail (18 June 2015)

Lovely, well tended, flower filled site.great location by ravine.good restaurant.easy walk to cannobio & lake.easy drive to various gardens-but -the ceiling heating panels were useless-we put the cooker on one day to keep warm.
Mike from Leigh On Sea,Essex (04 May 2015)

Holiday was spoilt by weather only everthing else was good
Confirmed Holidaymaker (04 May 2015)

Loved it.
Peter from Hoddesdon (08 September 2014)

Valle romantica is a beautiful setting and the individual pitches offer privacy and shade. The on site restaurant is very good. The pool is only basic but fine for cooling down on a hot day. We stayed in a tent and it was well equipped. It was damp though due to the very wet season and I believe the damp had been made worse by the site which did not drain very well causing flooding. However, this did not happen during our stay. Cannobio is about a mile away and is a nice walk along the river. Cannobio itself is a very nice place and certainly one of the nicest on lake maggiore
Gareth from Hook (31 August 2014)

Panicked about the gloomy weather on arrival and the pessimism of the reps as the weather had bee bad all summer and opted to change parks for second week. What a mistake the weather was beautiful and it had everything for two adults and two16 year olds, amazing grounds and location of the parc . cannobio had enough going on for everyone. Booking for next year.
Alison from Bingley (30 August 2014)

Very disappointing pool open for limited times, to strict no drinks at pool no inflatables and far too cold. Web site says two pools when actually there was only one .
Lesley from Liverpool (27 August 2014)

This was my first time to italy and camping and it was one of the best holidays ever. The parc is amazing set on a lake. The camp it's self is very well set out the facilities very good. I would recommend this parc to everyone.
Kelly from Surrey (27 August 2014)

This was our second year at the parc and we weren't disappointed. Although the weather was more mixed this year we had a brilliant time, lying by the pool, walking, swimming in the river, strolling in cannobio. A brilliant holiday. We will certainly come back again.
Chris (23 August 2014)

The site is beautiful, the lake is lovely and easy access to switzerland. site restaurant was very good, campsite staff helpful. The toilet facilities are very poor, cold showers, no space in the cubicles, no hot water for washing up. you need to provide your own toilet paper and hand soap in the toilet area. There is no small pool and very young children are not allowed in the swimming pool. We had a really nice time in this area but other eurocamp sites are better.
Ruth from Witney (19 August 2014)

Superb holiday. The area is stunning. Great views, friendly people, traditional villages and towns. Lake maggiore is just amazing. There are so many things to do, you could spend 3 weeks there and still not see half of it. Highly recommended. We will be coming back.
Michael from Leicester (15 August 2014)

Very bad weather spoiled what could have been a very good holiday.
Helen from Derby (13 August 2014)

Despite lots of rain, had a great holiday. Managed to do something each day.
Jiten from London (09 August 2014)

A beautiful location,
Airasa from Leeds (06 August 2014)

The parc is beautiful, well maintained and has an excellent and reasonably priced shop. the couriers were also excellent; being that bit older meant they were professional yet welcoming at the same time. a wonderful setting and surroundings.
Linsey from Leicester (28 July 2014)

Lovely site further out of town than we expected
Customer 39 (12 July 2014)

Valle romantica, italy was a little disappointing. this is a beautiful site but maybe a little too private for our liking. no small children in the pool, access to river not very easy. a very quiet site, with little to do if the weather is bad.
Anita (09 July 2014)

Lovely area and beautiful camp site.
Paul from Blackford (30 June 2014)

This was a very relaxed site with good facilities, friendly staff and lots to do locally.
Neil from Beverley (29 June 2014)

Enjoyed holiday at valle romantica just felt parking rather difficult next to caravan and felt a little bit hemmed in whilst sitting on decking outside of van.
John from Stockton On Tees (28 June 2014)

Great camping ground. Excellent restaurant. Met by friendly eurocamp hosts. Excellent!
Carla from Wellington (27 June 2014)

Lovely base, old town but a bit of a walk to get there
Zena from Emsworth (26 June 2014)

Lovely campsite in beautiful setting. a pleasant 40 min walk into cannobio from the parc and also a short walk to the river and a pebbly beach. nice small restaurant with a friendly atmosphere. We enjoyed a trip to stresa which was a good starting point for boat trips all over the lake.
Gaye from Brighton (26 June 2014)

Spent a lovely 8 days here! the site is so beautiful. Very friendly restaurant with great food. Cannobio is accessible by a bus in the evening (1 euro only) or there are 3 walks from the site (one with fitness activity equipment along the way). swimming in the river is good. Lake maggiore is beautiful and there are activities on the lake for all ages. Lots of good restaurants in the town
Geoffrey from Midsomer Norton (26 June 2014)

Beautiful setting near lake maggiore, with the swiss alps as a backdrop. Short distance from the swiss border. It was only a short break for us but we went on the lago maggiore express train trip and visted stresa, and isolas bella and madre.
Robert from Maidenhead (21 June 2014)

A beautiful little tucked away gem of a campsite. absolutely idyllic
Debra from Norfolk (21 June 2014)

Keep this site we only just found it and it is a gem!
Peter from Aboyne (20 June 2014)

Over 5 weeks we stayed at six seperate sites in europe. overall the eurocamp experience is as good as our many previous holidays with keycamp. one or two minor issues prevented us from awarding 10 out of 10.
David from Preston (08 June 2014)

We had a fantastic family short break. Don't forget to take swimming hats:-)
Lynn from Leeds (01 June 2014)

A very quiet park with little to do or visit in the surrounding area. You will struggle to keep older children entertained.good park for couples or older people. Nice family run restaurant.
James from Lausanne/Switzerland (31 May 2014)

We had an amazing holiday, beautiful flower filled park. Hardly used the car as you could walk into cannobio many restaurants and cafés. Good supermarkets and a lovely fish shop, market twice a week with lovely fresh fruit and vegetables. The boat goes from cannobio so many day trips are possible. Hope to go back next year
Annette from Honiton (28 May 2014)

We really enjoyed our holiday at valle romantica. it is an incredibly pretty site and close to many good places to visit, including lake maggiore.
Tony from Maidstone (25 May 2014)

A great first holiday with eurocamp. The site is beautiful - the showers and toilets are spotless and plentiful. The onsite restaurant is good value for food and drinks and the shop is small but has all the basics including barbecue coals. Cannobio has a good supermarket with a great fresh meat and fish selection and loads of fabulous restaurants. It's a 30 minute easy walk to cannobio (along the river) or a 5 minute drive. The site has a nice pool and there is a riverside beach within 5 minutes walk or it's a 10 minute walk to the beach and lagoon below the santa anna church. This site really is a great location for a quiet relaxed holiday. Eurocamp made the booking process very easy and the couriers struck the right balance of being helpful but not intrusive! we stayed in a standard tent and it was very comfortable for 2 of us and our dog and such a nice change to have a full sized fridge on a camping holiday!
Jennifer from Les Gets, France (19 May 2014)

This is a small site in a beautifully location quite and peacefull and would benifit from a great choice of accomadation more mobiles. It would be a shame if eurocamp removed it from there italian sites
Bernard from Thatcham (18 May 2014)

Lovely parc in a beautiful setting. lots of very nice walks alongside the river, an easy stroll into the local town. it is a very relaxing, laid back campsite.
Kim from Axbridge, Somerset (15 May 2014)

The whole experience was fantastic. the couriers and staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. the parc is beautiful and extremely well cared for and the shower blocks were some of the cleanest and well kept we have ever used.
Lisa from Christchurch (08 May 2014)

It was a beautiful park and I would highly recommend it, from waterfalls to flowers this is a great place to stay.
Rosemarie from Bournemouth (08 May 2014)

Had a fab time re-visiting this campsite; the owner recognised my straight away even though it had been 13 years since we last saw one another. . we live in spain and it was so nice to visit there and cool down after a boiling hot summer. All the greenery made us feel relaxed and fresh. . plus the food, wine, coffee and of course - limoncello were a delight to sample.
Anna from Alicante, Spain (08 September 2013)

Beautiful campsite, very helpful staff, the only downside was it said in the description there was a children's pool, and there isn't.
Ellie from Cambridge (27 August 2013)

We had a lovely time
Sophie from Canterbury (26 August 2013)

See below for individual comments
Catherine from Zurich (25 August 2013)

A beautiful setting, a well organised and clean site, and a great location for wild river swims and walks to the delightful lakeside town of cannobio. An extremely relaxing and invigorating holiday.
Chris from Southsea (24 August 2013)

Beautiful park, well maintained and organised, with friendly staff. beach a bit further than we were led to believe but this did not detract from the overall excellent experience.
William from Syston (22 August 2013)

Beautiful location. lovely park. first time we'd been in a tent for years and luckily the weather was perfect. very impressed by tent.
Michael from York (19 August 2013)

Beautiful quiet location
Ruth from Newcastle (10 August 2013)

Fabulous parc, had a super time !!!
Confirmed Holidaymaker (08 August 2013)

Beautiful valley, green lush site, friendly helpful couriers, a joy
Keith from Great Dunmow (31 Jul 2013)

Excellent parc and facilities. Outstanding setting.
Niall from Godmanchester (29 Jul 2013)

A lovely location and a flower filled parc. Good to be able to swim in the river and lake and walk to the village. Used the sister park which was great. Did not use pool because of swimming cap rule.
Tracey from Somerset (27 Jul 2013)

We very much enjoyed our holiday but felt the accommodation was very dated and could be improved, especially with air conditioning.
Wendy from Ferndown (17 Jul 2013)

Great site. swimming pool area could be larger and have more shade otherwise a lovely site. Accommodation and couriers very good. Beautiful setting for campsite with many trees and river.
Christopher from Edinburgh (14 Jul 2013)

We had a great time, wish we had booked for longer!
Claire from Stirling (08 Jul 2013)

Overall very good. the only criticism was that park commandant was rather authoritarian and over officious about things like car parking etc, but when there was a very large group of very drunken loud germans on the last night of our stay he did nothing to get them to be quiet, despite camp rules for quiet after 11pm. however, he knew they were making a racket because the following morning he asked whether we'd been kept up by the party. as it was, the party peetered out as the germans passed out one by one and all was quiet by about 2 in the morning... slightly irritating to say the least!
Rebecca from Devon (05 Jul 2013)

We enjoyed the holiday greatly and will certainly return to this area.
Ian from Edinburgh (01 Jul 2013)

We had a great time in valle romantica. The parc is very beautiful and kept to a high standard. The toilets/showers were very clean, staff friendly and we found it a relaxing, peaceful place to stay. The location to the river was perfect for our children and the town is also within walking/cycling distance. We will be back!
Caroline from Knonau, Switzerland (30 Jun 2013)

Lovliest site I have ever been on, enjoyed the whole holiday
Roisin from Newcastle, Co Down (26 Jun 2013)

We had a fabulous holiday and the site was beautiful. Our only criticism was that the swimming pool closed at 5.30pm and we felt having had a lovely day out in the heat it would have been lovely to come back and cool off with a swim. We felt that it was far too early as previous sites we have been on the pool normally closes at around 7.30 - 8pm.
Deborah from Fleet (23 Jun 2013)

Excellent holiday from start to finish
Julie (21 Jun 2013)

We had a wonderful 6 days at this park with very helpful couriers.
Suzanne from Frinton On Sea (21 Jun 2013)

We were only at valle romantica for 3 nights and would have liked to have stayed longer. The site is set within a beautiful backdrop provided by the surrounding hills. The site is well maintained the toilets and washing facilities clean and the pool. Word of warning you need to either take a swimcap or buy one at the site with no exceptions we even had to buy one for our 18 month old daughter. I thought the site would have been nearer to cannobio but there is a walking trail that's rather pleasant and it takes about 35 minutes to walk to the lakeside. Cannobio is beautiful- lake maggiore is beautiful theres no better words to describe it.
Lee (20 Jun 2013)

This was the most beautiful parc we have ever stayed at, and would heartily recommend it. The region is great for walking, and we had a wonderful time both hiking and visiting various local sites including into switzerland.
Richard from Chelmsford (15 Jun 2013)

Nice site, mature trees and shrubs, well managed, restaurant had good food at fair prices!!!!
Jonathan from Northallerton (23 May 2013)

Valle romantica is a wonderful wooded parc, in a peaceful setting just by a truly beautiful river. Everyone we met on the parc- the owners, couriers and workers were friendly and helpful. It rained a lot during our stay - in may- but we still had a fabulous time exploring the lakes and the cannobio river valley. It was the perfect holiday for us and our two small children - a really good mix of adventure and relaxation.
Tom from Devon (13 May 2013)

We printed the guide of how to get to the park and found the route very windy, narrow and scary. Once we knew the area - feel the directions could either have sent you a different way - or pointed out the direct route was a single road with hairpins around a mountain edge.
Sandra from Exeter (12 May 2013)

Although the weather was not good (3 days rain out of 4) we had a fantastic time - the courier was helpful but not overpowering, the site was well maintained & had beautiful gardens, the toilet, shower & washing up facilities were spotless, there was always hot water - without producing some sun it really couldn't have been better!
