Overnight stop, clean mobile and friendly courier. Typical french campsite in a nice rural setting. The only problem we had was no water in the early morning when we were leaving, it was the whole campsite. Nobody's fault if the mains fail, but was pretty inconvenient with no toilets working.
Michael from Chipping Norton (14 September 2015)

We could tell what a great place it would be during high season with all things active. Your only 2 kayaks were broken 2 weeks prior to our visit and as it was so close to the closure of the site you didn't consider it worth getting them fixed - I guess you don't consider our custom worth the effort which was disappointing to say the least.
Nicholas from Hull (04 September 2015)

Stayed here as a stopover en route to tuscany and on return to calais. Unfortunately, arrived late on both occasions met by georgia outbound and matt on our return. Beautiful lakeside parc. Plenty of space - spoilt by dog faeces around wooded areas
Sylvia from Abetystwyth (30 August 2015)

In general, an excellent experience.
Deborah from Hastings (29 August 2015)

This was a very nice parc in beautiful surroundings with clean and modern accommodation (esprit caravan), mattress gave me back ache as they were on the cheap side, we booked for a activity holiday with children in mind but for a big site they only had two canoes and they were both broken so couldnt use them, no childrens entertainment at night, like teenage disco as advertised. And the tap in the caravan leaked all week (heavily) which flooded the cupboard below so reported that but nothing was done whilst we were there. On the upside the swimming pool and slides were fantastic and the parc was nice and quiet with good parenting and friendly atmosphere. I found the parcs reception( not eurocamp) very helpfull and did set us up with some well maintained mountain bikes. Nice little bar to have a tipple in or two. And the staff at the takeway were very kind and helpful, the food at the takeaway got you out of a muddle and was nice as takeaways go. Im afraid the eurocamp staff were thin on the ground which ment you could never find them unless you telephoned them.when you did manage to speak to eurocamp staff they were very helpful and cheerful. We went on the 22nd august and found no mosquitos either which supprised us as my wife is allergic, big plus especially with so many lakes.
Stephen (29 August 2015)

Two adults, two children(8 and 4), stayed 2 nights on our way from alps to disneyland.had a great time, helped by erwin the eurocamp courier.esprit 2 bedroom cabin was fine(would be much better with air-con).barbecue was a great facility-thanks erwin for the fuel!. the staff in the onsite restaurant/snack bar were not the best-the female blonde assistant manager was particularly unhelpful-arrogant,unsmiling,served us in her own time when we'd queued 10 mins for their ice cream. Disco should have lasted longer than 30 mins. Apart from these minor things it was a great stay.the day we spent in the pool was fantastic-great facilities, little officiousness, brill weather-very relaxed atmosphere.a refreshment shop would have been welcome though.
David from Middlesbrough (28 August 2015)

Really enjoyed our holiday but was very disappointed that there were no kayak/canoe we could use as they had holes in. Was told by the couriers that they had informed euro camp head office. The only trip we could do was 3hrs long and with young children this is too long. We had specifically booked this park so that we could go canoeing with our children so were all very disappointed about this.
Douglas from Dartford (24 August 2015)

Lovely area, campsite although quite busy, had areas you could be in that were quiet. No noise at night. Really pretty site.
Karen from Bournemouth (21 August 2015)

Site was really well maintained and in lovely location
Corinne from Woking (19 August 2015)

Just two nights here. Park seemed a little tired. Pool area rough underfoot on pool edges. . accommodation homes very close together. Area around site beautiful countryside. Many facilities next to the site seemed to have closed for the end of season even though it was mid august.
Karen from Manchester (19 August 2015)

Nice relaxing parc that provided access to activities such as the assault course, cycling and canoeing
Andrew (14 August 2015)

Lovely campsite. Good pitch. Availablity of go ape course and canoeing on site fab with extra facility of the lake great for the kids. Good campsite shop and restaurant with excellent ice cream! local area very rural so long drives to get to local attractions. Local supermarkets easy to access and good quality.
Mary (12 August 2015)

Really enjoyed our stay, site was very good, very clean, found the eurocamp reps never about and quite miserable
Philip (10 August 2015)

Good parc plenty of freedom for the children to play. Could do with shade in the play park on sunny days facilities too hot to use
Shirley from Wales (06 August 2015)

We picked this parc for its size and location, and it was perfect, exactly as described on the website.
Michelle (01 August 2015)

Felt a bit let down by the lack of info from the courier. We only had two nights here in a tree house, on the way back home, and arrived after a very long journey from italy later than planned. We chose the site for the tree house and the high rope course, with our son's sense of adventure in mind. So we were disappointed to find we missed the high ropes as it was only open for an hour and a half on a saturday. If only the courier had mentionned that on our arrival. I was also shocked to discover that the tree house was in a field outside of the campsite, and that at 10pm they locked the gate. You felt quite isolated, and I think if you'd been a single parent with kids out there, it might have felt a bit scary! theoretically you did have access via a longer walk in darkness, back round the main road after crossing two fields, but I had been expecting access to the toilet block (for composting toilet, think binbag on a bucket, round the back of the bunk beds, no door). if one of the kids had been sick this would have been a nightmare. Having said all that, I must say that for the kids this was the tree house of their dreams, with branches winding over their beds, it really was a highlight of our holiday. Bring plenty of torches!
Philip (31 July 2015)

Nice place but it was very loud and quite squashed in, there seemed to be no observance of the quiet after 10pm rule at all.
Neil (30 July 2015)

We liked the camp, but the accommodation had faults and the couriers weren't great
Joanne from Edinburgh (30 July 2015)

Overall we felt the camp had some very good facilities, most notably the pool with it's slides and water jets area, the lake, the snackbar and shop. The free use of a canoe and kayak on the lovely local river was a bonus. However we did feel the park crammed the individual accommodation units in too close which left insufficient private areas and the wifi was too expensive and unreliable. The mobile home accommodation was good on the whole but any maintenance issues that we reported weren't repaired before the end of our 11 day stay.
Mike (30 July 2015)

Excellent parc with large pitches. Children enjoyed the pool and it was nice to use the lake aswell. Toilet block very clean.
Annette (25 July 2015)

An interesting stay on a site which offers a wide range of facilities. there is not a lot to do in the local area. the problems that the site was having were illustrated when the on-site restaurant ran out of food at 7.30pm.
Geoffrey (23 July 2015)

Really wonderful camp.
Martin from Brewood (15 July 2015)

We went to do road cycling which turned out to be very good. the site reception people were very good advising us on some very good cycle routes. the staff were very friendly and helpful
Tracey from Cumbria (04 July 2015)

Nice, parc but very quiet. Probably due to time of the year
Christopher from Glasgow (27 June 2015)

A perfect holiday for village hunting, had day out to neuchatel and a steamer trip on the lake. During very hot spells a lazy swim the lake at bonna was amazing. great cycle rides on what seemed new cycle tracks. We spent a month at this site.
Reginald from Holyhead (26 June 2015)

A short break of three nights en route to switzerland. A convenient stop off point in a rural area with many on parc facilities.
John from Coalville (23 June 2015)

On experience staying in a safari tent last weekend was good. The accomodations were well maintained and the bathrooms/shower facilities were very clean. Unfortunately the weather was cold so at night we were a bit chilly. I believe the website should list the dates when activities at the camp will be available. we were looking forward to the rope course and kids disco but never were available till high season. that is sad. there were plenty of people and kids there who would have enjoyed it.
Joe from Basel, Switzerland (21 June 2015)

A relaxing place - quite remote but fine for us.
Karen from Evesham (20 June 2015)

Good.
Shirley from Village/Town (16 June 2015)

We had a fabulous time. We really enjoyed our treehouse experience and all the facilities the parc had to offer. The rep was very helpful.
Heather from Matzenbach (15 June 2015)

This area is gorgeous and the locals really friendly. beautiful park, lovely area, couriers had a "can-do" attitude. we found the parc a bit noisy the first week - german half-term for stuttgart is immediately after the uk one and this is the nearest parc to there. then in the second week a 22 strong german stag-party arrived which went on till 3am for the 3 days they were there. otherwise the parc itself would be a 10.
Gaynor from Ripon (15 June 2015)

Site was in a beautiful rural setting, nice for chilling out or for outdoor activity enthusiasts.
Sue from Ilminster (14 June 2015)

We were very late and very tired on arrival. Your courier ( a young man from warrington) was amazing. He gave us directions and let us drive to our caravan even though it was early hours of the morning. He couldnt have been more helpful x
Andrea from Manchester (06 June 2015)

Super place and friendly helpful couriers :) our 2 girls loved it super site with canoeing and bikes :)
Jemima from Worthing (01 June 2015)

The park is a great park, but unfortunately if you are looking to go out and about you will be driving for at least an hour before you come to anything interesting. The eurocamp couriers do not disturb you during your stay once you have settled in.
Right from Suffolk (31 May 2015)

A lovely relaxing holiday on a very well maintained site in the heart of the countryside. .
Customer 36 from Ipswich Suffolk (31 May 2015)

A well laid out camp with a mixture of pitches ranging from statics to tents. we normally stay at smaller camps and this one felt large (detailed as a medium) - don't let this this put you off though. it has a good shop although limited in its opening hours (it could be because we stayed in may). the bar is good and it has a very good value snack food restaurant (although probably down to the favourable exchange rate). the free canoes and kayaks are a great addition and I should image they will be in big demand in the summer. it was a shame that the 'wire' play park was closed (may half term) even though the park seemed quite busy. very good friendly service from the couriers to all working at the park. . . there are some great cyclying routes nearby and a cycle path (well tarmac'd) along a disused railway line which is good for a family or individual ride. . . bescanson is an interesting place to visit with good value at the citadelle. we found the other towns nearby 'average'.
Stuart from Reigate (30 May 2015)

This is our second time to val de bonnal. Love this area and the surrounding. The village people are very humble.
Zaheer (30 May 2015)

We've just gor back from a brilliant week at le val du bonnal. Helped by the brilliant weather. Eurocamp couriers were helpful and friendly. The free canoe hire was an added bonus and we were able to use them 3 times during our stay. Whilst there we went down to geneva via the cascades du herrison. Both were fantastic. We also went across to frielburg in germany and went up the schauinsland cablecar anorher brilliant day out. The parc is very rural but is set in a fabulous and stunning part of france. We would be more than happy to return.
Tony from Stradbroke Suffolk (30 May 2015)

Fantastic holiday, we stayed in a tree house for 3 nights then moved into a mobile home both were great. . excellent for an active holiday in a beautiful rural location. . weather was beautiful for most of the week. . would defiantly recommend this site.
Ems from Brentwood (29 May 2015)

Val de bonnal is a lovely rural site in deepest french countryside. if you want relaxation and peace and quiet then go in the low season outside of school hols. if you want action, activity and adventure as a family then go in the high season in the school holidays! if you are a culture vulture or a city lover then be prepared to drive a long way to anywhere with that kind of vibe. if you like nature, then the campsite and surrounding area is perfect. Trees, river, lakes, interesting bird life, deer, pine marten to name a few then they are there. all in all we had a great time and the site and location were perfect for our intended peaceful break in low season. . . the shop is well stocked, the food at the takeaway is good, the bar is cosy. we didn't eat at the nearby restaurant so can't comment. the swimming pool isn't really a "swimming" pool. it is a play pool. we didn't try it as too early in the season and we like to swim lengths but the lake is clean and looks good for a swim when it is hot weather. however, take note that the lake is a bit of a long walk from the site especially if you have really small children and need to take lots of "stuff" with you. . . we would recommend ornans, vesoul, luxieul les bains, besancon and especially montbeliard for trips out.
Deborah from Leeds (24 May 2015)

We had a pleasant time on a quit parc
John from Farnham (17 September 2014)

We only spent 2 nights here but it is a nice park, very quiet, not loads to do but ideal if you want to relax.
Sally from Stourbridge (10 September 2014)

Shower/toilets blocks are just a bit too old and in need of a re-furb. the rest of the park is nice but these let it down.
Confirmed Holidaymaker (01 September 2014)

I really enjoyed this holiday with my children, next time though we would not opt for the tree house as all we did was sleep in it... a great experience for my children though.
Lee (01 September 2014)

We stayed 7 nights during auguse 2014 with two adults, two teens and a 7 and 5 year old. . . overall disappointing compared to all other eurocamp sites I have visited. we would not recommend the, location or couriers but the site is ok if in need of maintenance and cleaning in some areas and a more enthusiastic staff team. . . there are some good activities a drive away as well as the superb canoe trip from the site organised by a 3rd party. stay 3 nights and do the canoe trip.
Philip from Sevenoaks (31 August 2014)

Despite the weather we enjoyed our stay. the swimming has a good slide but you can't have a proper swim, the lake is really nice.
Graham from Hove (31 August 2014)

We didn't really see the couriers - our choice, sure they were fine. We loved this campsite, really peaceful and relaxing with loads to do.
Clare from London (31 August 2014)

We had a great great time at the val de bonnal campsite. As the reviews and the brochures say - this is an outdoors place, and you need to embrace that. Take some badminton rackets and some boules, canoes, table tennis, and swimming is all there already - and you will have a brilliant, relaxed time. The campsite is not over developed and there is loads of space for running around and doing outside things - kids will love it.
Phil from Bucks (30 August 2014)

Had a two night stopover and stayed on the site to relax. Simple restaurant and shop on site. Clean but basic toilets. Activities such as canoeing, high wire tree climbing and a reasonable outdoor pool. Stayed in eurocamp safari tent - very pretty but not bug-proof.
Paul from Farnborough (30 August 2014)

The parc is ok if you want to stay on site but we want to see the area and had to travel at least an hour to an hour and half to go on days out. I was annoyed that the cleaners from the site ( not eurocamp ) used the washers and driers every day taking them up to clean their cloths . overall we enjoyed our stay even though we got bitten to pieces by mozzies .
Peter from Eastbourne Sussex (30 August 2014)

Unfortunately the weather was very wet during our holiday, something which may be a regular thing judging by the moss and lichen on the trees. Our caravan was placed under a tree which obscured any sunshine( if there was any!) we asked the eurocamp rep if we could change location who agreed that once a more sunnier spot came available we could move. Bearing in mind we were on the campsite for 9 nights, this would have been worth it - it never happened and was never followed up by the rep
Helen from Bristol (30 August 2014)

Quiet clean camp. Excellent facilities.
Toby (29 August 2014)

A lovely park in the middle of nowhere, yet with still plenty to do in the area, although you'll need your car! . . the parc seemed a little scruffy round the edges, but was nothing to worry about. . . we did wonder about the amount of guidance our children were given before being allowed on the tree top challenge, but it was good fun. . excellent couriers from eurocamp - thank you to all of them. . hot during the day, but blimey, it gets cold during the night - take a few layers if you want to sit out and enjoy the fresh air!
Michael (29 August 2014)

Lovely, friendly campsite. Our mobile home had not been cleaned properly on arrival with used towels hanging in the bathroom and rubbish bags on the grass by decking. However, this was swiftly resolved when we reported it to the couriers.
Matthew from Bristol (28 August 2014)

Good pact with great facilities-shame the weather wasn't we couldn't use a lot of them. Couriers overall ok. One was outstanding-can't remember her name though. Others quite mediocre- perhaps the poor weather was getting to them. Loved the safari tent-really comfy and well equipped. Wasn't that inspired by the region but had an enjoyable time none the less. La forge restaurant next door to site fantastic.
Sarah from Nottingham (24 August 2014)

Great holiday, shame about some of the weather. Animation team for the kids was great. Some problems with our caravan weren't really solved, like outdoor light bulb replacing and one of the rings on the hob kept failing. There was also a leak from the ventilation pipe with heavy rain, but apparently that was a design fault. I didn't realise we had to bring our own duvets as well as the sheets so we were a bit cold at night, however the eurocamp staff brought us another blanket.
Inge from Manchester (24 August 2014)

Safari tent was great. Shame about the weather. This is a really lovely relaxing parc.
Rebecca (23 August 2014)

The accommodation was missing the coffee machine/ maker as stated in the inventory. We were then informed by the eurocamp staff that they had been removed and not replaced yet. Shame. A lot of money for not having basic items.
Stephanie from Paderborn, Gemany (20 August 2014)

We stayed here for one night on route to italy in a treehouse, and then one night in a safari tent on the return journey. . treehouse. We were met by a courier who showed us to the tent and then to the treehouse. the information provided was extremely limited, and she had to rush to another family (she could not tell us key information like shop and pool opening times). . . we were surprised at how far the treehouse was from our car and tent; it was certainly more than the short walk described in the brochure. . the treehouse was not clean. one of the dry toilets had been used by a previous occupant and not emptied. this had clearly not been checked by the couriers. . more worryingly, the courier had neglected to tell us that the gate on the bridge to the main park would be locked at 10pm. when I used the shower block that evening, I found that the gate had been locked, and I was stuck on one side of the river, while my wife and children were across the field in the tree house. I had been given no information about how to contact a courier in the case of an emergency, and so in the end, had to climb over the gate to get back. this made us also feel concerned about our safety during the night - we could not get back to our tent/car, and had no way of contacting anyone in case of an emergency. presumably the gate was locked to maintain the security of those within the park?. . the next morning I advised a different eurocamp courier of our experiences. she said that a gate key should have been provided to us and apologised. . . safari tent. On our arrival, the courier explained that one of the mattresses had been soiled by a previous occupant. we had been provided only with a camp bed mattress that did not fit the bed frame, nor was it big enough for our 10 year old child. when asked, she arranged for a mattress to be borrowed from a mobile home. . we were only provided with 1 single duvet (our party was 5). when this was raised, the courier brought us 1 further double duvet and 1 further single, both of which were extremely dirty. we were advised that although we had booked for 5 people, only 4 duvets would be provided, as duvets were not provided for those sleeping in camp beds. this had not been our experience at other sites (camping jungfrau during the same holiday). overall the tent was dirty. there was green algae in the water collector, and there were dirty clothes on the floor from a previous occupant. also, the inventory was incomplete (no tea spoons, scissors), leading us to believe that the tent had not been properly checked or prepared. during the holiday, we stayed at 4 different sites, and the accommodation on other parks had been fully equipped. .
Matt from Norwich (20 August 2014)

A lovely parc. Very clean and quiet. Not quite enough for teenagers to do but the pool and lakes were great.
Malcolm from Herne Bay (20 August 2014)

Good food at on site restaurant. Besancon citadel makes a good day trip. Good bakery in esprels and rougement. Lovely swimming in the lake, cycling around the grounds and the water slides at the pool were enjoyed.
Richard from Wimbledon (18 August 2014)

Very simply in both parcs that we stayed at the accommodation was dirty. Le domaine de l'eperviere was ok but le val de bonnal was quite frankly disgusting and it is hard to find positives after that. The kids liked the pool, that is a highlight but the onsite food, the availability of food in the shop was very poor. Having been a eurocamper as a child, and appreciated the highquality, this was a shock and I have promised my family we will never do another one
Jonathan from Lymington (18 August 2014)

Much less to do than stated. No teen disco or evening entertainment.
Abi (18 August 2014)

Nice site, good staff (eurocamp and castels), good location. . bit far to drive from northern france, but not a hard drive. . not for sunseekers - when the sun comes out, it's really nice, and really warm, and the pool area seems to be built to really capture the heat which is great. however, this site is best for those who want to be a bit active, or who don't need blistering sunshine. it's also in a pretty quiet corner of france. germany and switzerland are a couple of hours drive away, as are a few big french cities. . the site seems very safe and family orientated. my 8 yr old son loved it.
Darren from Portsmouth (17 August 2014)

There is nothing to do in the area for miles other than walk/cycle of canoe. The restaurant lacks any atmosphere. The parc is clean but very dull and in the middle of nowhere.
Philip (15 August 2014)

Generally quite good. I thought the professional entertainment ( 2 bands) was excellent. Pool was a bit small with no shade. Although the lake did provide extra water activities.
Russell (15 August 2014)

Enjoyable holiday with good part facilities
Karen from Horsham (14 August 2014)

I would highly recommend visiting this park, we thoroughly enjoyed it. We did experience some issues with maintenance but I believe they were glitches rather than a true reflection of the eurocamp experience. For any family wishing to camp without the hassle of erecting a tent and taking all of the equipment its a great way to do it. I also I think they have chosen some very nice sites. Val de bonnal is situated in a stunning part of france, very pretty and ideal if you like outdoor activities. My kids begged to return and maybe we will (although I might opt for a safari tent next time!).
Claire from London (10 August 2014)

This campsite is perfect for families who like the outdoors and adventure
Customer 70 (09 August 2014)

Fabulous facilities, eurocamp couriers were fantastic as were site staff. Only issue was the small pitches and therefore proximity of neighbouring mobile homes.
Caroline from Warks (08 August 2014)

Its a pity that not all activities happened daily and no one advised that we had to book the activities. Cafe cleanliness was poor and there seemed to be a fly daily conference on all tables.vile.
Marcus from Castle Bytham (08 August 2014)

I wouldn't recommend a tent on this campsite due to the heavy, uneven ground which could not cope with heavy rain showers. Couriers met us on arrival to site and responded promptly to our requests for items missing from the inventory and laundry package. The campsite itself was very nice. The kids club run by the campsite was really good - varied activities for all ages through tour the day.
Kate from Leeds (08 August 2014)

Very pretty location, just miles from anywhere. When the sun does not shine it requires a lot of imagination to entertain 11 and a 9 year old.
James from Southampton (02 August 2014)

Good place, tidy, well run.
Bob from Nethen (02 August 2014)

We knew the treehouse was some distance from the tent however didn't really appreciate how annoying this would be. Therefore the treehouse doesn't really get used for anything other than sleeping in. There are lots of spiderst and moths in the treehouse so not good for anyone who cants get to sleep with them in the same room!
Sarah from Caterham (30 July 2014)

This is a very rural parc with a very expensive on site shop and poor eating and bar facilities , the area this includes inside caravans the bar and restaurant area have flies everywhere. The pool is fantastic with a good splash area but not suitable for any type of swimming and far too small for the parc, on some occasions there is literally no space to move in the pool. the caravan needed a good clean and the bathroom had a constant smell of urine.
Michelle (27 July 2014)

Only used park as overnight stops to and from lake garda so did not use many park facilities
Claire from Croydon (25 July 2014)

We have stayed on this parc before several times when our children were younger, & always had a lovely time.we only used this parc as a stop over to and from italy this time
Phil from Warsash Southampton (25 July 2014)

Used the parc for one night as a stop over on our way to switzerland. Had everything we required.
Nathan from Bedford (20 July 2014)

Quieter area to visit. The pool was excellent.
Customer 81 from Derby (19 July 2014)

Overall a good experience, on an extensive and beautiful site.
Ann from Hinckley (19 July 2014)

We arrived in heavy rain. We had booked a treehouse but obviously as weather was so bad we opted to use tent provided. As tent hadn't been put on a wooden deck as it should have been as these aren't actually proper tents (ie. Not water tight at floor level - there was grass growing into the tent at floor level), the "tent" was awash and was also filthy. We went to eurocamp reps and told them whilst the weather is no one's fault we weren't prepared to be put into the position of using an already soaking and filthy tent. We go camping with our own equipment in the uk, and we know well that keeping the interior of the tent dry and clean, especially in bad weather, is vital to a happy holiday. With this tent we immediately had a problem as it was literally full of puddles and clearly hadn't been thoroughly cleaned for some time. We opted to leave the park but the reps offered us a safari tent that was correctly placed on decking which was a much better option and we were able to enjoy staying at the park. The following night we decided to stay in the treehouse and had asked the rep to get us a key cut as the previous residents had inadvertently kept the key. Despite this a key was never cut for us and we opted to secure our belongings in our car and only took our bedding to the treehouse. The treehouse experience was good once the kids got used to the fact that we were up a tree and that means that nature comes to visit you in the night. The facilities at the park are really good especially the tree climbing set up and the pool. We will probably visit again. Fingers crossed the weather will be kinder next time.
Francis (12 July 2014)

My experience was affected by very bad weather. The couriers did everything they could to help but the rain was awful and unexpected at that time of the year. I feel the soil is not suitable for permanently pitched tents unless extra effort is taken to control the subsidence under the groundsheet.
Alan from Sheffield (11 July 2014)

Lovely place unfortunately pool closed on the only 2 sunny days. Parlour not open as not high season! same with pedaloes. Although we regard first week in july as high season. Canoes never there and looked like one required repairs. Apart from that a lovely location.
Confirmed Holidaymaker (05 July 2014)

Lovely park, even though we couldn't take advantage of all the facilities as we were only staying one night on a stop over - peaceful and lovely location.
Carol from Beith (28 June 2014)

We booked a quiet site and that is what we got, very clean, friendly, totally relaxing. beautiful countryside all around, plenty to see on trips off site. people in tourers and in tents were extremely well catered for with plenty shower blocks on the site, again very clean. .
Wendy (06 September 2013)

Overall we as a family found this camp to be excellent - the fine weather helped, although we had already made plans for poor weather. it was just a little "french" that some of the frills closed 31/8 - but that's france.
Ga from Tonbridge (03 September 2013)

We stayed in the tree house. An amazing experience, which we thoroughly enjoyed and would recommend to anyone. We will no doubt be booking another stay in a tree house soon. The couriers were helpful and knowledgeable.
Nikki from Fareham (01 September 2013)

Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. Everything we've come to expect of keycamp, we got, and debs, the courier, was lovely. . the parc itself is starting to look tired, though. For instance, in the toddler pool, neither of the two mushrooms were working, so the site had bought a garden slide, which wasn't too stable. On the plus side, the slides and chute are the best we've experienced at a keycamp parc (this was our 4th). . the parc's restaurant (the one across the river) looked unappealing, and we had an hour's wait for our food from the snack bar which was a bit pricey. The shop was reasonable though, both quality and price. . the parc staff were great, very friendly, happy to help. The lady in the shop was cheerful. At one point, I wanted to see the weather forecast in reception, but reception was closed. A security guard approached me to see if he could help, and went to get the keys to unlock reception, just so I could get what I wanted - definitely above and beyond the call of duty!. . be warned, though, this site is in the middle of nowhere, there is at least a 30 minute drive to the nearest decent sized hypermarket, although there are smaller ones closer. There were also lots of flies, we even bought an insect-o-cutor from the hypermarket to try to get rid of them. . overall, we enjoyed ourselves, the parc is just about close enough to switzerland and germany to make visits there feasible, and we would recommend it.
Scott from Portsmouth (01 September 2013)

Great couriers. pool is really quite small - more for splashing around or going down the waterslides. location by the river is great
Chris (31 August 2013)

Couriers were so friendly and helpful.
Tasha from Whaley Bridge (31 August 2013)

Didn't like our caravan at all - 2 bed horizon - had horrid doors that clicked shut like cupboards rather than proper doors. No surface space in kitchen or sitting area and everything felt cramped. Grubby cushions and springy (i.e going rotten) decking. Pitch was awful - no separation between us and neighbours and felt cramped and far too open. Site not bad otherwise - good pool (although take plenty of plasters for your children's feet!), great tree-climbing zipwire and well-stocked shop. Bar/takeaway area not open until the evening and very low key entertainment for young children, although it was peaceful at night. Wouldn't go again because of the poor pitch and weather - in a wooded valley by a river so heavy dew overnight and felt very chilly, despite it being august.
Henrietta (30 August 2013)

Camp has a lot to offer
Colin from Uckfield (30 August 2013)

We had a good rest and the mobile home was clean and spacious in the main living area, bed was uncomfortable though. The park had good fascilities, but was quite quiet and remote. Local town has a good supermarket and good artisan bakery, but no-where of good quality to eat out.
Nicola (29 August 2013)

The mobile home we were given was in a shocking condition and we complained immediately. The couriers agreed and said they had told their boss it was sub standard but nothing was done. Although it was august the tree top walkway and pedaloes were out of action and the "free" wifi had to be paid for. We paid £750 in total for 5 nights - shocking value for money. We left early and I noticed from the pad in the couriers office we were not the only ones. We will be making a formal complaint and you can rest assured we are already telling all our friends and family what a terrible experience holidaying with eurocamp was.
Barbara from York (28 August 2013)

A fantastic holiday had by everyone!
Paul from Kent (27 August 2013)

We had a lovely holiday despite the fact that the parc was disappointing.
Judith from Faringdon, Oxfordshire (25 August 2013)

Fantastic campsite, but we were disappointed with our caravan and it's location.
Caroline from Bristol (24 August 2013)

Extremely lively park with a lot of activities going on. Pool a disappointment as very small but made up by lovely lake within walking distance to swim in.
Sheila from Warrington (24 August 2013)

Good site a bit perplexed by other reviews as accommodation was great the only criticism was that whilst the pitches were a good size side by side, some neighbours were too close behind us. Lake was a bonus as the pool didn't have a swimming area as opposed to playing/slides and was good to swim in and use inflatable boats. Overall the location was fairly remote which is what we wanted but good roads to larger towns if need be.
Mark (24 August 2013)

Lovely, peaceful parc - great place to relax and take things easy.
Martin from Kettering (21 August 2013)

The camp was excellent, if you like bike rides, kayaking/boating, fishing, swimming, as my family do then this is the place for you. . . positives. Lots to do in the camp, its clean and friendly, laundrette was a bonus decent machine for 3 euros a time, a good mix of people from all countries, kids enjoyed the slides in the pool, my son was fishing all the time and playing football, decent offshoot of the main river creating a false 1500m river allowing for safe inflatables by the side of the camping. lots of offroad biking for the family around the massive lakes, intermache supermarkets not far away, cheap diesel at the intermache 1.36 euro a litre much cheaper than home, decent pizzas at the campsite, good weather during stay tan mainly picked up around the swimming pool. . negatives. Accommodation was terrible caravan 204 which was very old and poorly maintained 2 bedroom horizon however having used eurocamp previously I suspect its a one off currently have a complaint ongoing with them, not a lot to see around the area unless you want to drive to switzerland 100km away, expensive pump beer at bar 5 euro a pint, cant swim lengths at the pool, un-qualified life guard at the pool generally the bar staff so watch your kids, went peak season and animation was poor live band on twice over 9 days stay should be every night, kids disco was for 5 year olds and not for older kids, about 7 hours drive from calais at 80mph. wash load stolen from laundrette so dont leave it in, caravan 204 was a terrible old fashioned 2 bedroom horizon with many maintenance issue such as rotten decking tip from me is stay in the 3 bedroom ones which are all modern nice layout and all in the sun paying the extra would be worth it.
Andy from Blackpool (18 August 2013)

We only stayed for 1 night out of the 5 nights we booked and left pretty sharp, the description was not clear, the children did not want to sleep in the treehouse, it was full of spiders and bugs, in the childrens beds etc, the tent was very uncomfortable and the resturant on site should be shut down.
Nick from Penarth (17 August 2013)

We only stayed here one night thank goodness.
Nick (17 August 2013)

Good campsite in a quiet area of rural france. Particularly enjoyed the lake for swimming and river for canoeing.
Stephen from Bury St Edmunds (12 August 2013)

We only spent a night here but the facilities seemed good and it was very peaceful and relaxing.
Suzanne from Norwich (11 August 2013)

We had a brilliant holiday. The parc had pretty much everything we wanted and there was plenty to do in the area. We loved swimming in the lake.
Nicola from Holmes Chapel (10 August 2013)

A very relaxing parc to stay in, very clean. Loved the pool and the lake was a fantastic alternative.
Michelle from St Albans (10 August 2013)

Best couriers ever on site!!
Geoff from Liverpool (09 August 2013)

Great site with pool/lake & activities within close vicinity. Bring a fly swat though as there were quite a few!
Karen from Gillingham (09 August 2013)

Great holiday and campsite. Really enjoyed being in a safari tent and found it to be well kitted out and very spacious. Would definitely stay in one again. The pitches were a good size and the shower blocks well looked after. Would have liked more information from the eurocamp reps on local things to do and visit and the shop on the campsite could have been stocked a lot better but apart from that, everything else was really good.
Vikki from Surrey (08 August 2013)

An enjoyable time, in beautiful area.
Christopher from Northallerton (06 August 2013)

Nicefriendly camp, nice mix of nationalities, very quitet and clean
Stephen from Southampton (03 August 2013)

Sadly the eurocamp couriers weren't too knowledgable about the area or days out, but they were very nice people. The caravan had everything we needed but did feel a little crowded/overlooked unlike other sites we've been to. . shop & reception staff really lovely & helpful, overall site clean, maintained & tidy but at weekends the lake is so busy with locals it's a little worrying with little children. Pool is fab but no good if you're the swimming type who doesn't like splashing, games etc. The entertainments/childrens clubs are minimal which was fine for what we wanted but know some families want more. Restaurant was fine but again would book or avoid at weekends, snack bar also fine & very reasonably priced. . would recommend the parc, as with all castels parts it's authentic & relaxing.
Peter from Bristol (30 Jul 2013)

Good for the family plenty to do pool and lake for swimming.
Andrew from Chatham (29 Jul 2013)

Excellent overall. parc is lovely. only area for improvement would be the limited choice of restaurants on the campsite/ in the local area.
Janice from Wiltshire (27 Jul 2013)

Excellent one night. Arrived at 6pm. No matches to make a cup of tea. Courier a waste of time.
Brian from Harrogate (27 Jul 2013)

Our best family holiday yet!! my son (6 years old) cried when we told him we had to leave he loved it that much. our daughter would have lived in the pool or lake for the week given the chance. it was relaxing with plenty to do for us adults too. thumbs up!
Vicky from Rugby (25 Jul 2013)

Very relaxed holiday on a lovely campsite.
Anna from Bristol (20 Jul 2013)

Second time at this parc, last visited in 2005, better than before. Good balance between between fun pool for kids and lake for a proper swim. Good number of places to visits within one hour drive which was good, longer trip to lausanne and boat trip to evian was superb. Camp is spotless, staff friendly and helpful, takeway good value and good food. Excellent for road cycling, good rolling roads for long trips with plenty of villages to pass through, great canor trip down river. Will return
Martin from Pontypridd (20 Jul 2013)

Beautiful campsite with lots of space and views of river. We loved the pool & lake and enjoyed the bar and canoeing.
May from Nottingham (17 Jul 2013)

The campsite was excellent. a very laid back atmosphere. the campsite shop and restaurant were very reasonably priced. the emplacements were large and we had plenty of shade.
Alison from Kirkcaldy (14 Jul 2013)

Really great parc - lovely surroundings, lots to do. Kids loved the pool and the lake was idyllic for swimming in. Highly recommended!.
Kate from Edinburgh (13 Jul 2013)

This is a great park, pretty peaceful and in a great location
Francis (12 Jul 2013)

Excellent campsite and very good eurocamp couriers, would definately return.
Rachael from Wordsley (12 Jul 2013)

Keycamp rep (debs) very helpful. Camp in a beautiful location.shallet was great(looked like was new/nearly new) on site restaurant basic though. Kids loved the pool and slides. Karting nearby is defunct- looks shabby(i know this is not directly to do with the campsite) which slightly spoils otherwise idyllic settling
Sean from Belfast (09 Jul 2013)

The facilities were not as good as what I thought they would be and if the weather hadn't been very good during our stay there wasn't anything very close that we could have done on a rainy day.
Michael from Worcester (06 Jul 2013)

The holiday was great, a few points for your consideration though, the new sun light accommodation is visually very good, but lacks storage space in kitchen, no prep areas for food ,the counter was not even big enough for the chopping board, why the squiggle design, not practical, the designer obviously has not spent 2 weeks in the units with 2 kids. The living area is not practical, if it was bad weather there is no where to get every one around the table.take a look at your older mobiles , like the e camp ones and the older range(key camp and euro camp).the sunlight 2 bed had a better living area but again no kitchen space. The old ones were far more practical than the new ones, we have been using yourselves and key camp for the past 8years so we know what we are saying, will someone please take note. The sleeping areas are ok but you rally need to look at the living part.the campsite its self was ok, the pool area was very disappointing, it needs a area for swimming, the space is there to do it. Also the bar area whilst being friendly was not in the right place, suggest a more central location over by the pool complex.food was good from takeaway. Reception very helpful.lake was really nice. We also went to europa park 110 miles away great day out. Canoe trip also taken great fun.
Dale from Bideford (30 Jun 2013)

We had a fantastic holiday, the setting was so relaxing. The parc had everything we wanted, the only drawback was the swimming pool didn't have facilties for swimming as the water was only deep enough in a small area of the pool.
Denise from Wisbech (29 Jun 2013)

We enjoyed our stay in this lovely part of france
