Holiday was fab though the weather wasn't our parc reps rob & ann carol & andrew were amazing nothing too much for them.
Debra from Bristol (01 September 2015)

Great holiday in a lovely location
Karen from Oxford (31 August 2015)

This campsite is great if the weather is good. In the rain it looks very different. Apparently the best months to go are may, june and july but in august the weather can be erratic. Good base to explore the vendee and also visit la rochelle. . recommend the portsmouth to caen ferry.
Becca from Worthing (30 August 2015)

This was our second visit to chateau la foret. We love the relaxed atmosphere and the setting in the shadow of the chateau. Being next to the acrobranche is also a big plus, especially for the kids. . not allowing the kids to use the outdoor pool is a niggle and the weather this time was disappointing at times. Whilst we loved our vista plus caravan, the pitch wasn't great. . the couriers were all great; friendly, informative and helpful when you needed them - all you can ask for.
Customer 4 from Bacup (30 August 2015)

Could not ask for a better site, packed with stuff to do the zip wires are a real bonus. Relaxing park. Couriers really helpful and friendly. Would definitely go again.
Rachael from South Molton (30 August 2015)

Love the region as we've been there previously. First time with eurocamp and this campsite. Campsite had all you need for a basic stay and is perfectly located. I wouldn't recommend staying with eurocamp here. Not sure if it was due to end of season but the couriers were flippant, had an overly laidback attitude and were hard to locate. The caravan we stayed in wasn't very clean and I needed to wash every pot before I could use them. The only way to contact the couriers is by mobile which we felt was inadequate. Another family we holidayed with had a number of problems to which were not properly resolved
Sam from Caistor (30 August 2015)

Really goood range of activities at the site, including a few indoor or under cover options that really helped due to the rubbish weather! our children (aged 6 & 10) loved the pool and slide, the trampolines, bouncy castle and crazy golf. They went to the site run kids club on one morning for a cooking session which they both enjoyed too. The site felt safe and the children were able to ride their bikes around safely. For us, an ideal balance of things to do, while still keeping a traditional french feeling and calm countryside atmosphere.
Karen from Maidstone (29 August 2015)

Quiet park with less pool activities than others but having the grand defi next door is a bonus and the lakes are good for fishing. the eurocamp canoes were always available.
Jackie from Salisbury (28 August 2015)

Great experience - bed incredibly comfortable.
Anthony (28 August 2015)

Just a wonderful holiday, thank you so much. the site was just perfect for our family.. it was a small site that retained its french features but still so much to do. the tree climbing was a particular highlight. and as ever the safari tent was lovely accommodation.
Nicola (25 August 2015)

Great facilities for the grandchildren. The chalet was very well equipped and clean. Couriers very helpful
Peter (25 August 2015)

This was our third year at la foret as we love this campsite! there's a lovely rustic, laid back feel here and it's very picturesque with the chateau and the wooded grounds and the owner is very friendly and welcoming. Our children love the pools and the play room and it's great to have the tennis courts too. Another highlight has got to be the wonderful boulangerie which we walked or cycled to every day.
Fiona from Bishop'S Stortford (23 August 2015)

Caravan was not clean - bed no protector and old had allergic reaction. Despite taking anthistamine. Caravan plot small and exited right. Exit to a hedge was very claustrophobic. Site itself quite nice other providers were offering cleaner and better value for money accommodation. Disappointed.
Confirmed Holidaymaker (23 August 2015)

We had a great holiday and would recommend this parc without hesitation.
Jim from Basingstoke (23 August 2015)

Overall very good holiday! the parc had a great friendly, easy going feel with plenty of fun areas to amuse our children. Pool and tree climbing were especially good. Camp area was perhaps a little too shaded. A tad annoyed that we had to pay for 12 days rather than 10 days we stayed and wanted. Others stayed for 3 days!
Jeremy (22 August 2015)

Nice campsite, plenty to do.
Greg from London (22 August 2015)

We had a lovely time at eurocamp this year the parc was great and the couriers were friendly and helpful. our only criticism was the treehouse accommodation its was just not practical for us to use, it was to far away from the tent and rest of the park.
Alistair from Alcester (22 August 2015)

Caravan was pitched very close to several tents so noisy. Curfew ignored by most of site so very noisy at night and early morning. Didn't see couriers apart from on first day. No further info about welcome drink that was mentioned. Pricey overall for type of holiday.
Sharon from Newcastle Upon Tyne (22 August 2015)

Enjoyed camp, good for children plenty to do.found caravan to small but was very clean. Near to venture to the coast and other places in all a good experience
Joseph (21 August 2015)

The church bells chiming through the tall trees set the tone on this excellent parc. So safe and secure for children and a plethora of activities locally, it is hard to think of a better place to relax on your annual break.
Andrew from Bath (20 August 2015)

Great venue and site facilities. Had a relaxing stay in august with 3 children plenty to do onsite. Accommodation clean and of a good standard.
Andrew from Reading (18 August 2015)

We had a fantastic holiday. The park was great, relaxed but lots of things to get involved with and the location was good.
Natalie from Cardiff (15 August 2015)

Great holiday and nice parc. Safari tent was fab and made for a very comfortable stay. Only downside apart from coming home was the cleaning times for the toilet and shower block in the morning. Definitely recommend.
Gannaway from Folkestone (15 August 2015)

Park facilities were excellent, couriers were friendly & helpful. Only downside was that our accommodation was not near others we had booked with. Would definitely come back to chateau la foret
Karen from Solihulk (15 August 2015)

This is our 2nd time at chateau la foret and once more we weren't disappointed. The site itself could do with a lick of paint here and there (especially at the mini golf site) and could certainly do with new ping pong tables, however axel and his team offer the best welcome possible and fabulous atmosphere. The vans are what you would expect from eurocamp, not luxurious but ample space and great value for money. The vende is a beautiful area and the site ideally located. The courtyard (where the bar is found along with entertainment) is great and a real treat just to relax in. Just off camp is grand defi tree climbing, which for youngsters and adults alike is superb and great value. A firm family favorite and I wouldn't be surprised if we returned next year for a third time. Would definately recommedn it.
Simon from Musselburgh (13 August 2015)

We had such a lovely holiday! parc is wonderfully rustic - it has a fantastic square containing an excellent restaurant, bar and shop that come alive in the evening. This against the backdrop of the chateaux makes it the total opposite of plastic-fantastic. We have near-teenagers and they loved the adventure park. But great for younger ones, too. Really lovely staff. All in all, we would definitely recommend.
Confirmed Holidaymaker (12 August 2015)

The campsite is rustic which is fine but also a bit shabby and uncared for in places which is a real shame.
Tammy from London (09 August 2015)

Enjoyed our holiday
Wendy from York (08 August 2015)

We really enjoyed our holiday at this campsite which had a very relaxed and charming feel to it. the campsite was compact and had all the facilities we needed. The courtyard area ( which housed the reception, bar and restaurant) was particularly charming we enjoyed the evening sunshine there most days. there were a few niggles .. . if you have young children, be aware that there is no lifeguard in the children's pool despite the large slides. Our children aged 7&9 enjoyed the slides but it was a bit scary when there were teenagers going down after them on bodyboards and then skimming across the pool towards young children in the water. the exit area of the slides wasn't cordoned off so there were a few near collisions. . . there is an outside adult only pool which is really lovely as it sits in front of the chateau. it has a great decked area around it with sun loungers on, making it feel like you're in a fabulous hotel, however it was regularly occupied by families with small children who hogged the sun loungers and prevented anyone from swimming lengths. The last day we decided to also take our children into that pool (if you can't beat them, join them?). the campsite need to decide whether this is an adult pool or not (maybe it could just be adults in the morning?) and then get staff to monitor these areas as otherwise it's pointless and confusing for people using these facilities. . . similarly parents need to supervise their own children on the bouncy castle and whilst this usually worked well there would occasionally be older children on the bouncy castle causing mayhem and diving around near young children. Somebody to supervise these areas (pool and bouncy castle) during busy times would be an improvement. . . despite these relatively minor points we really enjoyed our stay here.
Claire from Exeter (05 August 2015)

It is a shame that the way eurocamp is going means the couriers have very little interaction with the guests as they are required to spend a large amount of their contacted time cleaning. When I was a courier- 22 years ago! we really used to enjoy the interaction which is lost now and must surely impact on staff enjoyment but for the guests the tent was very clean and the campsite was great.
Mark (04 August 2015)

A good family holiday - ticked all the boxes
Michael from East Grinstead (04 August 2015)

Lovely couriers rob, ann, andrew and carol. Made you feel at home
Jacqueline from Burton (04 August 2015)

A great holiday at a pretty, rural site with activities for all ages. A shame that the camp "rules" weren't adhered to by all and some of the equipment wasn't safe.
Claire from Westerham (03 August 2015)

This was the second time we've stayed at chateau la foret and once again it provided a wonderful holiday. We had 20 memers of our family staying at various times, with ages ranging from 5 to 80 and there was something for everyone. Plenty to do on site, and loads of wonderful places to visit only a short drive away (puy du feu was a highlight, as were some of the fishing villages and beaches). the eurocamp staff were (as always) fantastic and helpful, dealing with any minor problems (broken table) quickly and efficiently. A really friendly bunch. The only negatives were that we felt some areas of the parc are starting to become a little more cramped than we remember from last time - most plots are still large enough in size (ours was fine) and this is one of the things we love about la foret so we're hoping that they don't increase the number of plots and reduce the size of pitches any further. Internet access is still a little disappointing - there's now decent wifi throughout the parc for a reasonable charge, however each subscription is limited to only 2 devices, only one of which can be connected at any time. Whilst we didn't mind only having one device connected, we were frustrated that we could only register 2 devices on our subscription. . bar area, restaurant, take-away and entertainment were all to the usual high standard, and as before the owner of the chateau (axel) and his family were always out and about checking that everyone and everything was ok. Great staff throughoout the parc. Bar and food prices are all very reasonable and bike hire was good value at 10 euro per day. . overall, a great holiday - we would definately recommend eurocamp and chateau la foret and will return again ourselves.
Chris from Edinburgh (01 August 2015)

We had a great time at this parc, only our second eurocamp. We enjoyed the pool, the bar , the restaurant and the entertainment. The parc is very good with plenty of space, and yet seems quite compact. We are already booked for next year.
Mark from Thrapston (31 July 2015)

Much better value for money than another local campsite we went to last year through eurocamp. This site was quieter and £350 per week cheaper.
Denise from Oldham (31 July 2015)

Couriers were excellent lots of knowledge..mobile was spotless
Customer 37 (31 July 2015)

Internet terrible. Food options terrible. Pool overcrowded and rowdy with people playing water polo etc. Great play areas for kids. . trailers ok but parc noisy. Perfect outdoor activities, farm etc.
Daniel from Luins (29 July 2015)

A fab place that we returned to having had such a lovely time last year. It may be small but the friendly atmosphere pulls you back!
Claireinda from Leicester (23 July 2015)

Our first summer holiday on a campsite and we loved it!
Maria from Leicestershire (21 July 2015)

This was a lovely quirky place. Very old and laid back. It was perfect for the dogs. They didnt have to be kept on leads as long as they were not a nuisance. It couldn't of been better for the dogs. Loved the zip lines on site. They were great fun. Entertainment wern't that good and it was dead in the evenings. Although that didn't really bother us as we had our dogs so was quite happy 2 sit around the accomodation. Eurocampe reps were friendly enough although you had to converstaion and they didn't come and see us once to see if we were ok until the day before we went. On the whole lovely place and would come back again more so for the dogs
Heidi from Cornwall (19 July 2015)

We thought the tree house was fabulous, but cold have been swept before we arrived. Unfortunately we had very loud music till 5.30am, which really ruined the experience for us.
Lucy from North Berwick (12 July 2015)

Relaxing, quiet, beautiful. I'd go back.
Rachael from Guernsey (11 July 2015)

A fabulous holiday for us (our 27th with eurocamp/keycamp). we wanted to spend a month just chilling. This is a small parc with excellent pitches set in a forest and randomly set out, rather than the boring ranks of mobile homes set in regimented rows. A lovely french 'rustic' site.
John from Lanark (10 July 2015)

We were delighted with our stay at this campsite. The grounds were lovely and our son (3) was thrilled with the trampolines and animals! there was a little more outdoor space than our previous campsite, which was nearby. We stayed in a safari tent and it was very clean and spacious for us (2 adults, toddler and baby). the swimming pool is great but the baby pool was a little chilly first thing in the morning, best to go in the afternoon on a sunny day! we visited the restaurant and were impressed with the food and value for money. The staff were very friendly too. It generally felt like a quiet campsite, which suited us, and we would have been happy to stay longer as there seemed to be plenty to do.
Phebe from Haslemere (10 July 2015)

Holiday was great. The parc was lovely. My 13yr old boy did get a little bored sometimes, but most of the time was kept amused by swimming, the pool table and adventure parc. We also have a 6 month old baby - there was a room off the bar with activities to keep the little ones entertained - my baby loved the swing! . . it's a relaxing parc with enough to keep you entertained, and I would definitely recommend puy du fou, about a 40min drive from the site - it's amazing! you can buy discounted tickets from site reception. . you can order croissants etc to collect the next morning from the site shop, however, we would walk the short distance to the village bakery (where they are delivered from) as it is a lot cheaper! the shop on site is very small (a cupboard) and 3 of everything - bare essentials! shop in the village is good if your just needing a few odds and ends. The woman in the village shop is very nice, and occasionally gave us something free i.e. Ice-cream!. . the couriers, andrew, rob & their wives, are very friendly and helpful, lovely people. Not sure if they will still be there next year though (2016). . the caravan we had was a vista - it's small and not ideal if you have a baby with a travel cot, buggy and highchair, they take up all the room! a bit like krypton factor trying to place everything so if my teenage son got up in the night he wasn't banging into anything or falling over. We couldn't put the table up in the living area if our baby was either playing in the travel cot or sleeping, but most of the time the weather was good so we used the table on the deck outside. There was a vista classic plus next to us with an extra bedroom (3rooms) it was massive and would have been ideal - it was empty the whole of our stay! this annoyed me because before we went, I phoned eurocamp and asked about upgrading to a larger caravan, because we had heard from family later, the vista was quite small. Eurocamp said about the classic plus but said the extra space was just an extra room and wouldn't make much of a difference - all the rooms were bigger, the living area looked so much bigger and comfy! but that was our only gripe! a good holiday had by all!
Jen (06 July 2015)

Beautiful setting, great facilities cannot be faulted!!. the eurocamp staff were great!. a special mention to bruno on reception! helped us get an emergency appointment with a doctor for our daughter. Extremely helpful and exemplifies the camps excellent service.
Charlie from Glasgow (06 July 2015)

This was our 2nd time at the camp it was very relaxing the site itself seemed less busy than last year. All the staff were friendly the weather while we stayed here was great so that helped. .
Malcolm from Basingstoke (03 July 2015)

Lovely quite camp in a beautiful part of vendee.
Teresa from Harlow (29 June 2015)

We had a great holiday, very relaxing and enjoyable
Gillian from Maidstone (27 June 2015)

Excellent!
Scott (23 June 2015)

Quiet camp good restaurant on site, quiet swimming pools good
Graham from Princethorpe Rugby (22 June 2015)

Wonderful place in the countryside. Quiet and very peaceful
David from St Albans (22 June 2015)

.only saw your rep 2 mins on arrival after we caledl a uk mobile,he arrived 10 mins later ,on evening before.departure he graced our presence for another for 2 mins.i am glad I took my mobile,as I would stuill waiting now.i was not very happy that there were two different plugs in the unit ,so I had to hunt the hole holiday try to find another adaptor.on arrival a sheet was left on the table stating all the electricshad been checked.not true ,front bedroom light never worked.we could not find anybody there to and I think there were 4 of them on the list.i was amazed you did not provide coffee making machine, other people we met said the same.
Terence from Droitwich Spa (21 June 2015)

Very pleasant, well laid out site. ideal for a quiet break although the lake / zip wire activities (well away from residential plots) and courtyard facilities should appeal to younger visitors.
David from Seer Green, Beaconsfield. (21 June 2015)

Lovely holiday,
Abbie (20 June 2015)

We knew the campsite would be quiet but we're not prepared for the lack of available facilities.
John from London (20 June 2015)

Weather was good. Mobile as expected. Couriers attentive but bnot intrusive.park virtually deserted,
James from Bromsgrove (13 June 2015)

Park was very quiet at the start of the season. Area of france was great, the couriers were very helpful and the facilities at the park although not yet fully in use were adequate. Will try another park next year.
Fuse from Gellilydan (07 June 2015)

Excellent holiday, lovely campsite with a very family friendly feel. We were there in may half term - beautiful weather and lots of empty camp spots so the park felt very relaxed. Pool was wonderful for our kids. The campsite is also 15 minute drive to lots of lovely beaches and villages with authentic markets to explore along the way.
Sarah from Southampton, Uk (30 May 2015)

Awesome, a great park to go to with young children. Very friendly and safe and lots of things to do
William (30 May 2015)

Beautiful park, friendly and helpful couriers and staff. Great location.
Customer 62 from Bury St Edmunds (30 May 2015)

Great place to relax staff are 1st class
Stephen from Glossop. (30 May 2015)

We booked the treehouse here for a week. We spent one night in it :/ the parc itself is great for families and would thoroughly recommend - the pool, cleanliness, friendliness, location of main roads and supermarket and beach, parc facilities - the treetop zip wire course & paintball. . accommodation: we were very excited upon seeing the treehouse but equally disappointed on how secluded it was from the site and what little security there was - if you screamed, no one would hear you!!!. also, upon setting up camp in the treehouse, it was clear that this was not suitable for 6 as advertised (fortunately there was only 4 of us) - if you have 6 in there, the sixth must be a small infant as the sixth bed is a very small bed high above the main double bed - but as its up high, I would definitely not be comfortable with a small child sleeping there!!! strange!? also the other standard tent and camp was a 15 min trek through woodland and meadow - not what you want first thing in the morning just to have a cuppa!!! furthermore, the 'bedroom pods' are quite far apart - so as there was only three beds in one pod and a double bed in the other, we all were not comfortable sleeping that far apart as there was not lock on the bottom gate or upper gate and we all felt very vulnerable particularly being so distant from the rest of civilization! lastly, the double bed pod was literally crawling with bugs! we were well aware and looking forward to embracing the outside by booking the treehouse, but this was not what we had in mind! a tree trunk a foot from the bed was teaming with life :/ ! apparently there was a resident (rather large) stag beetle in the room too! the other pod was sufficiently protected and bug free! the tree trunk here was fully covered and made a huge difference to the level of 'nature' within the rooms!!! needless to say, after one pretty awful sleep, we unanimously decided not to stay there and use the tent which was disappointing and basic considering the cost we had paid out - shame a safari tent wasn't offered as a replacement :( . we lost a day of our holiday moving our gear from the treehouse to the tent (a 15min trek through woodland and meadow!) which was frustrating. It should be made more clear and realistic as to how far the treehouse is, the layout of the sleeping pods, and security increased! . location: great; near main routes/roads but quiet area at same time, large supermarket near by, beach near by. Facilities were clean but bit hit and miss with regards to getting a warm shower and several toilets being out of order! the activities on site were fantastic.
Laura from Essex (29 May 2015)

When I arrived I was surprised how quiet it was and how little there was, even the village had just the patisserie. However I really got to like this parc! it had lovely surroundings with the lakes, a few animals to see, bouncy castle and play area outside and inside, a tiny shop but enough for what you need with take away place on site. By middle of week we were really relaxed and enjoying the peace and quiet. There was a few evening events but we just relaxed on the deck in the evenings and would definitely consider going again. A few facilities such as table tennis looked a little worn but not a concern for us.
Esther from Poole (29 May 2015)

Clean tidy with plenty to do very good for families
Michael from Derbyshire (29 May 2015)

The parc was dead, and hardly anything was open. We saw the couriers once and he had no time. Nothing was ever open and we would have been better going to a gite.
Simon from Letchworth (07 September 2014)

We had a fantastic holiday at la chateau foret and would definitely return. only one minor issue was that on our last night (night before the park closed for summer season) there was a private wedding and there were no facitilities open on the park. the wedding guests were also very noisy on the friday night driving round the park late at night and disturbing the peace. bit of a shame really as the park was so peaceful.
Customer 68 from Kettering (06 September 2014)

Great holiday, with la foret being a really child friendly site. The bouncy castle next to the bar area is a great idea which allows you to have a drink while watching the little one play. Small animal farm nearby with park and trampolines. Also with on site pony trekking for only a small charge. Fishing on the lakes was free, although the lakes could be made a little bit more fishing friendly by having more of the bank areas cleared and perhaps some of the fallen branches removed to help stop the snagging. The on site bar is slightly over priced and also the pizza takeaway. Which we would have used more if a bit more reasonable. . overall a great place for the kids and relaxing for the adults. Would highly recommend and probably would go again.
Julian from Stoke On Trent (05 September 2014)

We were met by rob, later than expected arrival so the communication and meeting were great. He quickly showed us our accommodation and left us to settle in. The caravan and park were great, it was quiet, the children were happy. The staff in the area were friendly and helpful.
Jeremy from Cornwall (02 September 2014)

Very relaxed and quiet campsite/park - "rustic" is the word, staff are all dead friendly - and the eurocamp couriers are fabulous, even giving us a great tip for a day out in les sables.
Ric from Nottingham (31 August 2014)

It had been a few years since we had been to this park, couldnt believe how much it had developed since my last visit, for the better I think once I had got over how busy it was.i enjoyed the fishing and improved bar area and the zip wire course through the trees was very popular.would definately go back to this site, well done eurocamp we had a great holiday even though we had a bike stolen from outside our caravan, yes you maybe do have to lock things up in france!
Michael from Birmingham (31 August 2014)

The parc was lovely, beautiful setting, v clean accommodation and a v walm welcome from the eurocamp reps. Would definately recommend to others who want to experience authentic france but plenty to keep little ones amused with. Have a couple of lower scores as the mini golf was v run down, the toddler pool was cold (supposed to be heated) and the restaurant served a v limited menu on our last night.
Samantha from Hampshire (31 August 2014)

Overall we had a great holiday. the parc was beautiful, with great facilities for children, including a farm, bouncy castles and a friendly kids club. location is good too - within 20 mins drive of a huge range of sandy beaches and sightseeing options. our only complaint was with the noise in the evening - the music was too loud and went on far too late on what was otherwise a very quiet and family-friendly parc. we stayed in a 2-bed esprit which was well designed and nicely decorated - perfect for our needs.
Mark from Dorking (31 August 2014)

Had a fantastic holiday, the couriers were friendly and axel was very charming and informative at the welcome meeting with a beautiful glass of wine for us to taste - yummy.
Beverley from Solihull (30 August 2014)

Lovely place, loads of character and not too busy. away from the masses but close enough to plenty of interesting locations. eurocamp staff were great, la foret staff were great, we made new friends and yet also chilled out in privacy. the simple things are usually the best!!
Gareth from Eccleston, Lancashire (29 August 2014)

This was an excellent campsite
Customer 77 from St Alabs (29 August 2014)

Very enjoyable holiday. We needed some where to relax and let the children do their own thing and this was perfect for this. The bar and restaurant were very good and very reasonably priced not like some other who take the attitude 'your on the site so we can take advantage with our pricing'. definitely recommend to others if they want a stress free relaxing break.
Alan from Newbury (29 August 2014)

A nice parc with a relaxed atmosphere - pleasantly small but with plenty to do for adults and kids alike.
Gavin from London (28 August 2014)

A nice site within the forest, however all the pitches are very close together with touring caravans and tents placed in amongst the static caravans.
Laura from Swansea (26 August 2014)

Overall an excellent holiday, I have 2 young children and if I can keep them happy then i'm happy. Plenty for them to do and the indoor pool was excellent.
John (24 August 2014)

The worst eurocamp site we've been to - and we've been to plenty over the years. pitches were too small, pool was uninspiring, take-away food was expensive and poor qualilty, shop was poorly stocked and over-priced, and the village did not live up to the description in your brochure.
Stuart from Huddersfield (24 August 2014)

A lovely area to stay in taking in both coast and countryside. Plenty of local activities on and off parc our grandsons loved the beach at les dunes and particularly loved the adventure park directly accessible from the parc.
Helen from Caerphilly (22 August 2014)

We were dissapointed that the ground tent was so far from the tree house. We found the tree house too isolated from the rest of the parc.
Tamsin from Orpington, Kent. (21 August 2014)

A lovely site- fabulous couriers- the brochure photo needs updating it makes the site look unexciting, whereas it is just lovely with plenty to see and do.
Georgina from Stoke-On-Trent (20 August 2014)

Fabulous family holiday with our 7 & 2 year olds. Plenty to do on parc and surrounding area. A superb relax!
Ben from Sandbach (20 August 2014)

This was our first visit to a eurocamp and we were very impressed. We loved the tree top climbing, the freedom of our daughters riding their bikes around the camp and the glamping side of camping!
Peter from Caterham, Surrey (19 August 2014)

We have been to this campsite before and like it a lot. However this year, they have created more pitches which in turn makes the parc feel busier, bigger and more commercial. We stayed in the treehouse which was exciting for the kids but it lacked any facilities and staying in a safari tent- 500 m away from the treehouse- is not my idea of a holiday.
Nic from Ipswich (18 August 2014)

Just the weather was the disappointment . can't be helped
Norman from Staines (18 August 2014)

A lovely site, busier than when we last visited. Accomodation good.
Sarah from Brackley (17 August 2014)

This was an absolute travesty! we had booked to stay on the tree house - the way this is advertised is a complete misrepresentation of what you actually get - appalling! we were told we would have a tent with cooking facilities, beds, fridge, storage etc underneath or nearby the tree house - it was a good 10 - 15 minutes hike away - the tent itself was right by the road so cars and cyclists whizzing by constantly. the whole site is dingy and depressing - completely overcrowded and unpleasant.
Janette from Hove (16 August 2014)

Had a fantastic time with eurocamp at la foret. A lovely small, quiet site, very welcoming and geared up well to younger children. The bouncy castle opposite the bar was brilliant! lots to do in the immediate area with some good beaches only 20 minutes away. The ropes courses adjacent to the park were a brilliant way to spend the day - although long queues later in the day.
Kay from Eastleigh (15 August 2014)

An excellent family holiday.
Tim from Bath (14 August 2014)

A very nice park with a family. overall, a pleasant relaxed place.
Andrew from Colchester (12 August 2014)

We enjoyed our stay at la foret. it was a lovely site with a very peaceful atmosphere, mixing chalets with tents in a lovely woodland setting. very close to the village with a boulangerie, small mini market and tabac. The facilites on site were good, a lovely restuarant, bar and small shop and the staff were very helpful. would definitley consider returning to this site.
Adrian from Enfield Middx (12 August 2014)

Nice park with activities very close by but can get noisy in the evenings when young ones are trying to get to sleep. Only solution seems to be let your own kids stay up and make noise too!! eurocamp couriers at la foret were very welcoming and friendly and did a great job cleaning the cabin for our arrival.
Stewart (11 August 2014)

We enjoyed our holiday - and the weather played a large part of that. it was definitely worth the long drive south.
Amanda from Guildford (09 August 2014)

Had a lovely holiday. the tree house was not suitable for young children as they have to sleep in an adjoining tree. We used the tent instead and just played at the tree house. the camp was excellent for young children although a child friendly fast food restaurant would be handy. we hired bikes which was successful but didn't have time to try out the canoes on the lake. we all had a lovely holiday.
Michael from Worthing (09 August 2014)

We had a wonderful time here, very relaxed park, just enough activities for our 5 and 2 year olds, beautiful chateau and fab location. We equally enjoyed relaxing on the park as getting out and exploring the area.
Jo-Ann from Armagh (06 August 2014)

My family went to the chateau 1st two weeks in august. Fantastic facility. Enjoyed every minute of it. We would recommend it to any family for a well catered and fun filled holiday. It is also well positioned to some beautiful beaches and la rochelle is only an hour away.
Ken from Ireland (06 August 2014)

Great site , well managed, lovely wooded location, large plots, lots to do and very spacious for an active holiday if you want it.
Wendy from Truro (05 August 2014)

Great small camp site situated in quiet countryside close to the village for essentials. Eurocamp couriers were lovely and overall a very relaxing holiday with loads to do near by and some great guarded beaches.restaurant on-site was very good with a 3 course set meal for 16 euro and the bar patio area a lovely place to sit and watch the children. All the staff we met were very attentive but special mention to anne & rob from ec and audrey behind the bar. Axel the owner is very hands-on and keen on giving his customers a great experience. High ropes courses on site a massive bonus and with something from 2-to mid 70's a real win with the kids. Ec pitches all over park were reasonably sized, ours was totally in the shade (no 126) but was cool in the heat. There was a little bit of very light traffic noise as it backs onto the d55. Park was lovely, a bit quirky in places but really a nice place to be!
Ian from Norfolk (05 August 2014)

A lovely relaxing holiday. Our girls aged 5 & 8 loved the swimming pools, bouncey castle and mini golf, playground and farm. for an extra cost but still on site was the aerial 'go-ape' type course which we all enjoyed (from age 2,) and pony rides for the girls. a lovely patisserie and village shop just 50metres down a leafy path. A choice of beautiful beaches only 20mins drive - loved les sable d'alonne and st.gilles de croix.
Caroline from Brighton (04 August 2014)

We have 3yr old twins who had a ball, which meant we had a lovely relaxing holiday
Julie from Guildford (03 August 2014)

Lovely camp for an active but quiet holiday. Plenty to do on camp which was great for age ranges 6-17. The outside pool was very cold. Lots of entertainment laid on each evening, we were lucky as our caravan was situated at the end so we wernt 'hemmed' in. Lovely beaches close by, had a very good week.
Anita from Ipswich Suffolk (02 August 2014)

This was our third eurocamp holiday and it was our favourite, we spent two great weeks at chateau la foret and not one of us wanted to leave! the chateau is a beautiful setting, there was plenty to do for the children, including the fantastic and excellent value for money tree top adventure. we were close to lovely beaches and never once paid to park the car!
Andrew from Milton Keynes (01 August 2014)

Just one problem - it was incredibly loud until at least 11pm-11.30pm. Terrible warbling singers at the bar, plus screaming kids running around while their parents hit the chardonnay. The eurocamp reps were incredibly nice. Just the noise. Would never have booked if i'd known about it
Barney (01 August 2014)

We had not experienced eurocamp prior to this holiday but will certainly be returning. There were a couple of reviews which almost put us off but we are glad we weren't. The park was fantastic, set in wonderful woodland with plenty of shade for us soft northerners. . . the atmosphere around the bar was fab and we met like minded parents all of whose children were having the time of their life (like ours). we had to crowbar ours out of the pool and in fact only left the site twice during the week. . . the couriers were lovely and very accommodating. . all in all a superb holiday experience.
Richard from Skipton (30 July 2014)

La foret is a great park - lots of activities within the park and the local area. The safari tent was well equipped. Beautiful region of france and places to visit for the day. Would highly recommend. I would not recommend le brevedent nor the classic tent however in comparison.
Joanna from Kent (29 July 2014)

Great holiday for the kightley-mills family. Everybody enjoyed the parc, its facilities and evening entertainment. Been to la garangoire and this parc was far more enjoyable. Thouroughly recommend.
Alison from Southampton (29 July 2014)

We loved our holiday with eurocamp and the safari tent worked brilliantly. perfect for the kids.
Sarah from Stamford (26 July 2014)

We had a relaxed, quiet holiday. Plenty of places to visit locally.
Alison from Leominster (11 September 2013)

Excellent all round value
Mike from Stourbridge (09 September 2013)

We stayed in the last week before the camp closed, so we are not sure about high season. It was quiet and very relaxing. the restaurant and bar were lovely (although the bar was closed on the last evening)and the reps pauline and malcolm were extremely helpful and friendly. we enjoyed walks around the lakes and swimming in the two lovely pools. it was a beautiful place to spend a relaxing holiday.
Julie from Chichester (08 September 2013)

A new 'mission statement' for you: the season ends when the last paying guest goes home'. a dreadfully tired and poorly maintained parc / facilities, that could spoil the keycamp reputation.
Ingrid (07 September 2013)

A lovely site in the grounds of a beautiful chateaux. if you enjoy peace and tranquillity, this is the site for you. although, there is a fantastic tree-top trail including zip wires for those in need of a thrill! lovely covered pool plus an outdoor pool (a bit chilly though!). in conclusion, a beautiful site with enough amenities to keep the family occupied but if you just want to sit and read, you can find a peaceful spot.
Helen from Raunds (03 September 2013)

Fantastic park in an area we already know well - perfect for a break combining a few days relaxing on park and a few 'big' days out - loved the bar / restaurant area and our 6 year old loved the pools, zipwire and bouncy castle..
Leanne from High Wycombe (03 September 2013)

Site was lovely, nice pool and bar area. Staff were friendly and couriers were helpful and had everything ready for us. Safari tent was a real treat we loved the space and the comfy beds!
Laura from Birmingham (01 September 2013)

This was the first time we had done a keycamp holiday, and we picked a quieter campsite , as we weren't sure whether we would like it- i'm pleased to say that we had a really great family holiday!! the kids loved the pool / freedom of the campsite especially, and we all had a lovely, relaxing holiday.
Sarah from Manchester (31 August 2013)

A very charming campsite with plenty to do on site and within a short drive of many great beaches and seaside towns
Jason from Corbridge (31 August 2013)

Poor park - not 4 star - won't return
Sarah (31 August 2013)

We had a great family holiday, the waterslide got a lot of use and the short walk to the boulangerie in the morning was the perfect start to our day.
Eleanor from Manningtree (31 August 2013)

Overall had a great time however the journey was terrible this was solely down to the coordinates missing a digit in the euro camp holiday details, we should have arrived at 3pm but we didn't get to our camp until 11pm! so it cost us not only in monitory terms it cost us an afternoon and evening!
Joanne from Cheshire (30 August 2013)

We were a little worried before arrival at la foret, having read some reviews on trip advisor, but they vanished immediately. the place is lovely, with a real rustic charm. The pitches were very generous, the layout great, as no the rigid rows you get on many sites. a very relaxing experience. having the parcours right next door was brilliant, best i've seen to date and a real test. Nice to be able to take the short walk into the village for the boulangerie. Good option for getting to the beaches (we went to brem) and super u 10 and 5 mins drive away respectively. there are a couple of improvement the site could do with, but not too much otherwise it risks losing some of that charm. finally, the reps pauline and malcolm are without doubt the best reps I have met in 14 years of keycamp holidays. thank you for a lovely time.
Ian from Chester-Le-Street (30 August 2013)

Good holiday . . lovely quiet site
Lisa (28 August 2013)

Amazing, lovely place, really enjoyed it
Jenny from Ormskirk (27 August 2013)

Couriers were very friendly. St julien parc is great for all ages, is very clean, pool is covered so suitable for all weathers. The on-site tree climbing is a great added bonus, and the 3 fishings lakes were lovely
Mel from Peacehaven (26 August 2013)

Park great. Couriers great. Tree house full of hornets and uninhabitable so had to stay in tent. Couriers were very apologetic. Awaiting key camp response.
Judith from Birmingham (25 August 2013)

La foret was a great parc. Plenty of space for the kids to roam around and plenty on offer in the parc and nearby; the acrobranche next door to the parc was a particular favourite. . this is the first time we have stayed in a vista. We were lucky enough to have a prestige and the amount of space in the van was fantastic; you practically feel like your deck is an extra room in this type of mobile home. A particular mention to our reps, malcolm & pauline. Very friendly, always attentive and with a good knowledge of the area. We are not the most demanding of customers, but they clearly cared that we had a great holiday.
Martin from Bacup (24 August 2013)

A good holiday with good facilities.
Andy from Taunton (23 August 2013)

Not certain about camp at first but really fell for it and are considering returning next year
Keith from Selby (20 August 2013)

Lovely part of france, great weather. A great parc to stay at with really friendly staff/ owner. Good facilities and a good base from which to explore the region. Lovely bar on site where you can sit and relax in the evening. Can be quite lively though.
Nic from Ipswich (20 August 2013)

Excellent parc very quite at night facilities about right.
Colin from Derby (17 August 2013)

An amazing, picturesque site with so much for the children to do.
Jane (17 August 2013)

Tracey & malcom were excellant host nothing too much trouble for them came out at 22:00 when we had problem with our electric. I recon teh pitches were too close over looking each othe a bit too much
Debra from Bristol (10 August 2013)

We had a great week particularly our grandchildren who enjoyed the pool, bouncy castle and freedom of the play areas. The adventure area was a great bonus although this was not part of the site facilities and had to be paid for.
Malcolm from Hope Valley, Derbyshire (10 August 2013)

Great park and accommodation, though we'd have preferred a more private caravan pitch. We were adjacent to a toilet block (not used by us), and main route for collecting morning bread.
Penny from Tring (10 August 2013)

We had a really lovely time, thank you.
Jefferson (08 August 2013)

Lovely park and lots of on site/nearby facilities and activities. keycamp staff on site were most helpful and prompt when we had any problems (nothing major - a power outage after a storm and a faulty smoke alarm that kept going off!). the family swimming pool was a little disappointing though - we only went once - upon first glance it looked great and the slide into the pool is fab, however the general cleanliness of the pool itself was disappointing and the childs paddling area was full of dead flies and bugs - not the most welcoming of sights!
David from Bishops Stortford (07 August 2013)

Great holiday and the kids enjoyed themselves.
Ben from Manchester (06 August 2013)

Fantastic facilities and a fantastic site. We will certainly be returning next year. We hadn't appreciated the scale of the facilities linked to the site such as the ropes courses and paint-balling which proved really popular with the kids.
Gareth from Newport (04 August 2013)

The parc is set in a lovely location and the pitches seem nicely spaced out with bushes and trees to offer some privacy. having the zipwires and climbing next door was a real bonus enjoyed by the family. took our golden retriever with us as a dog friendly site and we had no problems. Takeaway on site does wonderful pizzas too and just the right amount of onsite entertainment.
Su from Coventry (03 August 2013)

Great holiday. This is the fifth time we have visited this campsite.
Carol from Falkirl (02 August 2013)

We had a fabulous time at this parc. It was such a relaxed atmosphere with plenty to do for the children. The staff were very friendly and the couriers very welcoming and helpful. The owners of the parc were also very professional. We wil definately return and plan to book with keycamp for next years holiday.
Sharon from Billingham Teesside (02 August 2013)

Very nice relaxed, clean, rural environment to share with our young children. Low key campsite which wasn't too large, and our caravan site was shady and pleasant. The central courtyard of the parc was a nice place to sit, and nearby the children could run around, go on the bouncy castle, trampoline, small playground, toddler room, and farm animals. A bonus was the adventure park next door (extra charge) which our 5 year old loved. We enjoyed going to the nearby bakers in the village in the mornings and took excursions to nearby towns and beaches.
Salma from Oxfordshire (01 August 2013)

Great parc and would have given higher scores had we not been plagued with a malfunctioning boiler in our vista prestige. A pity, hope keycamp can improve their standards.
David from Gloucestershire (01 August 2013)

This was our first euro camp experience. When we arrived at the camp it was a very hot day and the caravan was unbearably hot, especially as it was late in the evening and we needed to get the children to sleep, there was no option of air conditioning here. The parc is fairly small and quiet which was nice, and it is set in the grounds of a beautiful chateau.the caravans are in a quite wooded are which allows for shade. The outbuildings have been converted into a restaurant, bar and small shop which are all nice and very convenient considering the size of the parc. The pools are quite small and simple but in fairly good condition, the main pool is under cover which is handy both in bad weather and it provides shade in the sun for children. There is a fantastic high ropes course at the site which the children loved. The count who owns the site is an active presence around the site, checking that people are happy. We really enjoyed our holiday here.
Aled (29 Jul 2013)

Super time. Super safe. Lovely people
Daniel (29 Jul 2013)

Safari tent was brilliant! location was superb! facilities were excellent! things to improve - pillows were awful!
Simeon from London (28 Jul 2013)

Lovely parcs with excellent and very friendly couriers. Very quiet site but watch out for the visiting circus.i think we had the q week they turned up in the year, but we had to go out for the day because they wanted to play music very loud at 10.30 am when the show wasn't until 6.30pm.
