Lovely site.peaceful & in a great riverside location by pont d'arc. Nearby vallon pont d'arc lovely -food/buildings etc. Customer 1 (21 September 2015)
Although tent good size/kitchen facilities in order nothing had been cleaned prior to our arrival. Courier was quite a miserable person not particularly helpful. parc itself good size shower facilities amazing and very clean pool very cold for time of year unfortunately we experienced really bad weather so couldn't enjoy river. Sarah (19 September 2015)
Excellent holiday, all that we expect from eurocamp. Ideal park location with the benefit of being able to walk into the village. Park only an 8 due to on-site restaurant as the service was terrible, didn't affect overall enjoyment of holiday as we could eat out in the restaurants of vallon pont d'arc. Sarah from Bolton (29 August 2015)
Excellent camp site very clean, friendly and small even in august wasn't too busy Julie from West Wickham (20 August 2015)
We had a great holiday, we have done this before but found by stopping off at different camp sites going down to the south of france did make the journey more bearable. All the sites we choose were great. Nice and clean. Daphne from Whitstable (18 August 2015)
This is a wonderful campsite adn we had a fantastic holiday here. the weather was amazing, very hot but there was plenty of shade in the safari tent which had all the equipment you might need including very comfortable beds. the children enjoyed the bunks. the pool was a very relaxing place to cool down as was the river. we were able to go to the river straight from the campsite itself and hire canoes. the onsite restaurant and shop were both lovely and there are two extra supermarkets in the village. all the facilities are of the highest standards, an outside gym, tennis courts, children's play area and bathrooms. it was a very relaxing place to be. it is also easy to go and visit the most amazing caves from the site. a car is a must in this rural area. we loved our time here and would happily return. Lm from North Wales (15 August 2015)
Good parc, very clean, good safari tents. Top facilities and. Ideal for any first time canoeists. Recommended! Warren from London (10 August 2015)
Excellent site and location, very nice bar, restaurant, and pool area and very clean facilities Adrian from Lincoln (10 August 2015)
We had a great family holiday at this parc! it is set in a beautiful location, and yes you can access/play in the river easily but be aware the rocks are very slippery and the constant stream of canoes are downright dangerous at times. the pool and facilities are spotlessly clean, showers are hot and didn't have to queue once for them. the little town nearby is lovely but is jam packed on market day! the restaurant on site is fantastic, we had the most amazing pizza's at prices cheaper than in town. Sarah from Maidstone (09 August 2015)
Our third year at this parc since 2010. Great location on the banks of the ardeche, and the on-parc facilities are fantastic (great pool, spotless shower block, well stocked shop). service at the onsite restaurant was a little disappointing compared with previous years, and as our kids are growing up (now 10 & 12) parc probably better suited to young families - having said that, we had a fantastic holiday. Stu from Reading (08 August 2015)
We like this parc, it suits us very well and we have been here many times. Lesley from England (23 July 2015)
We were extremely pleased with this lovely site. It was just the right size and was always very clean with excellent facilities. Staff very helpful and friendly and had lots of good advice. The river is very close and kayaking brilliant. Pool great, only slight draw back was lack of sun shades. Sports clubs very good. Shop good prices. Great location near lovely village. Louise from Market Harborough (22 July 2015)
Lovely park. Tents only a little walk from the beautiful warm river, for swimming, snorkelling, fishing, boating, jumping in, canoeing.. just lovely low key mixture of fun activities for the kids (and us sometimes!) to join in with friendly enthusiastic animators. nice pool. Clean modern bathrooms (apart from no loo seats!) and one block themed like the prehistoric caves with family showers etc. Vallon was a pretty little town too, with bars with live music and pavement cafes. great trip to the prehistoric cave reconstruction and we canoed down the river twice, once from the camp taking half a day with picnic and lots of swimming stops and once from upriver sliding down the dams - brilliant! Suzie from Manchester (19 July 2015)
L'ardechois is in a beautiful location right on the river and has fantastic facilities. The pools are brilliant, the shower blocks and toilets such a unexpected high standard snd you could see the staff worked hard to keep them this way. Shop and restaurant also very good and the location itself is great for exploring the region. The safari tents far exceeded our expectations, so spacious inside and out too, not too close together and space to run around outside. Will definitely return. Vivienne from London (01 July 2015)
Quite possibly the greatest park in the south of france Mark (15 June 2015)
Relaxing, warm and lovely atmosphere. Great site, great pool. Andrew from Sevenoaks (31 May 2015)
Value for money outside of high season Peter from Southampton (21 September 2014)
Picked this holiday for an active walking/kayaking week with our adult children. Going out of season meant we had the facilities largely to ourselves which was fab. However, going out of season also meant we coincided with the autumn rain so had to evacuate the campsite when the river burst its banks half way through the week. Made it a memorable holiday, but wouldn't have liked that experience with younger children! Sue from Bristol (20 September 2014)
Perfect Barry (17 September 2014)
Lovely campsite set in a great location on the ardeche river. Toilets could have been abit cleaner but the shower facilities were very good. Pool great with comfy sun loungers. Highlight of the holiday for us was canoeing down the ardeche gorge which can be done from the campsite! Ed from Haywards Heath, Sussex (16 September 2014)
A lovely park and good food at the restaurant too! clean pool. Confirmed Holidaymaker (06 September 2014)
We enjoyed our holiday in the ardeche but the campsite is a bit too organised and crowded for our taste. Julia from London (01 September 2014)
Fantastic campsite. Clean, well looked after, beautiful surroundings, next to river, excellent facilities. Highly recommend Debra from France (31 August 2014)
Great family holiday. Catherine from Brandon (23 August 2014)
First eurocamp holiday and a huge success - parc facilities from shower blocks to pools and play areas high quality, lots for kids to do, river and local town right on doorstep. Loved the safari tent too. We went kayaking and pony trekking during stay, and appreciated the 'authentic france' location. In the evening we often chose the pretty on site restaurant and afterwards could have a drink on the terrace whilst watching the kids and their newly-made friends in the play area opposite. Only downsides were niggles: bike hire on site quite expensive and one of the toilet blocks never seemed to have handwash! but would definitely recommend. Sarah from Southport (18 August 2014)
The parc was excellent and could not be faulted, but it was not the right parc for us (65-y-o couple). a family with young children would enjoy it better. Patrick (17 August 2014)
It was a nice site if a little cramped but as eurocamp is the only company on sight we share with the independents who have forked out a third of the eurocamp cost. Paul from St Martin'S / Guernsey (16 August 2014)
The ardeche gorges suffer a massive influx of tourists which congests the main road to and from the campsite ,hindering touring the region.disappointingly there are no walking trails from the campsite or along the ardeche river ( although your brochure states there are ?) the kayaking is excellent although the large volume of water goers can make kayaking the rapids problematic. Beverly from Liverpool (09 August 2014)
Nice campsite, good location and good weather. The pitches are quite small so it can feel slightly cramped compared to other campsites. Facilities are good for children. Emma from Edinburgh (23 July 2014)
We had the best holiday ever. A fantastic campsite, lovely large safari tents and one of the most beautiful regions of france. Well done euro camp. Belinda from Achnasheen (14 July 2014)
A quiet and shady site with exceptionally clean toilet and shower blocks, each with specially adapted cubicles for kids. Eurocamp has just ten safari tents on this site, each with a decent space in front to play/put the table outside. All the trees made it quite dark and cool inside the tent. The pool area is clean and pleasant. Cb from Lyon (10 July 2014)
We went to this parc 2 years ago and there are more rules this time. No shorts in the pool, no toys in the pool (despite selling them in the on-site shop), no food, only water...seemed less relaxed and certainly stricter on what you can/can't do. Safari tent was fabulous-we thoroughly enjoyed it and felt the beds were very comfortable. Showers and toilets were clean and tidy but not as exceptional as 2 years ago. We went earlier in the season 2 years ago so maybe that's why things have changed somewhat. Overall the parc is lovely, the courier was more than helpful, the tent was amazing but it wasn't as good as last time. Sorry to keep reverting back to our previous visit but that was out main reason for choosing the same parc as we felt it was outstanding but it just didn't live up to our expectations this time round. Shame really. . Laura from Comrie (09 July 2014)
We had a nice time but felt the campsite was very much orientated towards young families and for that reason I would choose somewhere different next time. Douglas (29 June 2014)
Lovely park, great location. Good facilities and atmosphere. We loved our safari tent. Benjamin (29 June 2014)
For l'ardechoise:. fantastic location as vallon was lovely and the pont d'arc was incredible. Victoria from Exeter (22 June 2014)
We had a great holiday in the ardeche. the site was lovely, and he accommodation great. we went in june so the site was very quiet which suited us well with 2 young children. really liked the pools and the restaurant on site served nice food. Ian from Beverley (15 June 2014)
Excellent site, clean facilities, good shop lovely pool. Not much choice in restaurant Nancy from Halesowen (11 June 2014)
Awesome campsite, incredibly clean wash blocks, nice shady pitches, great access onto the river and the restaurant, pool etc. Were of a really high standard Andrew from Belfast (07 June 2014)
We had a fantastic holiday at l'ardeshoir camping. The site was extremely clean with lovely toilet and shower block. The pool was fantastic for the hot days and we used it a lot. There is a lovely bar and restaurant on site which also sells ice cream! . overall we had a lovely holiday and would definitely recommend the parc to others considering the area. Elizabeth from Sheffield (07 June 2014)
Johnathan the parc rep was very welcoming and hospitable during the stay, the standard of camping accommodation was outstanding with our whole party (3 groups in all) all eager to return with our families. thanks again eurocamp - fantastic! Sean from Sheffield (19 May 2014)
It was our first time camping and we had an absolutely amazing time. The campsite was brilliant and in a lovely location, the staff were nice and friendly and we can't wait to go again! Jenny from Wrexham (10 May 2014)
Had a great time at a reasonable price and would definitely use eurocamps again. Bernard (29 September 2013)
Everything was perfect.. the location with a lovely village in walking distance. The stunning park with friendly staff. The beautiful safari tent. And all on the banks of the beautiful ardeche river. Because we booked out of season the price was extremely good value and brian our host was very helpful. Rachel from Norfolk (28 September 2013)
Brian the courier was fantastic, such a nice chap who really cared and wanted his guests to be happy and have a good time. Very proactive and helpful. Park facilities were great - especially the baby washing facilities. Never been so impressed with toilet blocks! Fiona from Guildford (27 September 2013)
Good holiday getting a little cool at night though Jennifer (22 September 2013)
We just loved this camp site. We only had two nights there, because we were doing a motorcycle tour, and we stayed here on our way back up from the south coast. The rep was just great and very friendly, the camp site backs onto the river and its a beautiful setting. The near by village is a short walk away, and worth the walk. . we will come here again. Steve from Nott (21 September 2013)
Amazing! Patricia from Coalville (21 September 2013)
We had a fantastic honeymoon at vallon pont d'arc, but the journey was massive and I would recommend breaking up the holiday at other sites on the way there. the courier was absolutely amazing bless him he hadn't had a day off in wks only been there 4 wks but seemed to know everything you needed to know about the surrounding area. we didn't get his name but if you can please express to him how impressed we were with him and if the site was nearer we would return just to go and meet him again, fantastic man. . Darren from Shrewsbury (19 September 2013)
Have stayed at this site before and it continues to be warm and friendly. The site and facilities are extremely well maintained. Set amongst outstanding scenery. My only slight problem was the trees offering shade to the pitches have being left to grow too much. Virtually no sunlight was allowed to get thro so giving a feeling of dark and dank. Brain from Telford (19 September 2013)
Our courier bryan was wonderful, got it all just right Penny from Byfleet (14 September 2013)
Very good and great camp couriers, bad weather for a few days was the only drawback but highly recommend the parc for a short stay. Debbie from Warrington (30 August 2013)
A fantastic park in a stunning location. The facilities on site are first class and immaculately clean. The town of valon is within walking distance and has a great range of shops and restaurants to meander around Wayne from Hexham, Northumberland (25 August 2013)
The campsite was very good, kept very clean. Staff were mostly helpful and friendly. Accommodation was great. Kids enjoyed the kids club which was run in a very relaxed manner. Martin from Northampton (17 August 2013)
Great 4 nights spent here. Loved safari tent location on river lovely. Restaurant on park v good. Good for children as well. Georgina from Norwich (17 August 2013)
We enjoyed the campsite and there was plenty to do. kids would have been happy to stay by the pool all day and younger child is much more confident with his swimming now and older son is very good at diving. The local area was lovely and river beach which was a close drive away was good. we visited la grotte de madeleine and llama farm which are well worth a visit. would not recommend aquatropic, the waterpark in nime, very shabby, watersides and waves not in use. however the city centre of nime is amazing, visited the amphi theatre, roman temple and gardens. there were shallow troughs and water fountains for the kids to cool down and play in. we also visited vogue which was a pretty village next to the river. the gorge is beautiful and worth driving along. we also went canoeing which was easily booked on our site by the river. we did 7km which was enough and very challenging through the rapids. June from Cambridge (05 August 2013)
Great kids enjoyed it. Stephen from Canterbury (08 Jun 2013)
In spite of not good weather this was the most amazing week. The best parc we have stayed on in years of eurocamp (other than one on the dordogne over 20 years ago). the setting right by the ardeche river is just awe-inspiring and so beautiful. The parc being so compact meant it was easy to get from accomodation/facilities etc down to the river. The facilities, (bar, restaurant, pool, shop, showers etc) were second to none, we are quite sold on safari tents, and lots to do beyond the parc. Brilliant! Susanna from Goring On Thames.
