Fantastic parc, quite quiet with lake access for a morning swim, lovely pool and great restaurant and good shop. Worth the extra drive if not with small kids to get a quieter parc with great views than staying in the hubbub around peschiera however those parcs are good with kids as quicker access to local sites. Alex (20 September 2014)
What a fantastic find! we were looking for a last minute deal when we came across the safari tent, available from 9th-14th sept at an exceptionally good price. it was our first holiday in italy, and I had quite high expectations as i'd heard so many great things about this particular area. well, the parc exceeded all expectations, and the safari tent just blew me away! my husband and I have a 3yr old daughter, and the accommodation was perfect for us. it is very roomy, much larger than the standard tents, and it has such a great, rustic feel, whilst still maintaining the comforts of 'proper' beds, a heater, large family dining table and a fully equipped kitchen. my daughter loved her bedroom, and thoroughly enjoyed the facilities offered at the parc, particularly the very family-friendly swimming pools. My husband and I were thrilled at having our own bbq (not a gas one, a proper one) as this has not previously been offered to us when camping in other parcs. The shower and wash-up facilities were spotless, and we never had to wait to use any of them. phil was our eurocamp courier, and he was great! very friendly, and always took time to check that we were happy and comfortable, offering good tips on the local area and places to visit. 10/10 guys. we'll be back to italy, and back to fornella for certain! Alistair from Zrich (14 September 2014)
Had a great holiday at fornella..will definately return! thank you to phil an the team Heather from Northern Ireland (11 September 2014)
Lovely campsite in a gorgeous part of the world. A low-key family environment. Really good pool for children, campsite is very clean. Would visit again. Weather wasn't fantastic but think that was an unseasonal blip. Pack a few layers as it can get chilly in the evenings. David from London (31 August 2014)
Lovely campsite. not too big, very friendly and pretty with great access to the lake. lovely to be in a sleepy village but with easy access to all major attractions around lake garda. Nicola from Kidderminster (30 August 2014)
A very well kept parc with friendly staff in a beautiful location. Very clean. Joanne from Kidderminster (30 August 2014)
Another excellent holiday with eurocamp, small friendly park, very clean, good location with lots to do Christine from Bolton (29 August 2014)
Having no prior experience of eurocamps or camping in general I have nothing to compare this camp too. my impressions were overwhelmingly positive - the camp was small, well equipped, clean and quiet. the local area was fantastic, easy to reach beaches and the lake, interesting towns and stunning scenery. The campsite shop was excellent (although why does it have to close from 12-4pm??!!) bar/restaurant was very good and beautifully postitioned. the safari tent was fabulous - lots of room, comfy beds, in a great position on the site. we will be back! Louise from Essex (27 August 2014)
Great campsite in pretty part of the lake. Lots of amenities. Friendly helpful staff. Very clean. Ruth from Norwich (21 August 2014)
Return visit to the same site. fantastic holiday, would definitely recommend. Jenny from Norwich (20 August 2014)
We went to lake garda for two weeks; one week in a hotel in riva and one week in a eurocamp tent at fornella. We flew and used public transport. The hotel in riva was half the price of the eurocamp tent. Camp was fine but as we didn't have a car we felt a bit trapped. The stormy weather didn't help. Camp also lacked the entertainment that I have experienced on other eurocamp / keycamp campsites. The big plus was the eurocamp staff. They were brilliant; especially phil. As we didn't have a car he offered to take us in his car to a local supermarket and he took us to the train station to get the train back to milan. Above and beyond the call of duty! Anthony (19 August 2014)
An excellent park, with a superb restaurant with stunning views across the lake. Phil was very helpful. We thought the little train which takes you on a tour of the area was super value and great for little ones with tired legs. We were in the olive grove which was fantastic, a large pitch close to the lake, but I can understand why those in mobile homes in the centre of the park might be disappointed with very shady pitches and not a great deal of space. . pools were fantastic, kids club - we didn't try, as ran too early in the morning, but looked ok. Really would recommend both eurocamp and the site. We had quite a bit if rain, which is very unusual for august, so did a lots of site seeing, we visited, riva, gardone, limone, sirmione (a must see) and we also went to venice on the train, which was very do-able even from the west side of the lake. Customer 12 from Suffolk (17 August 2014)
A fantastic park with great pools for the kids, clean shower blocks and a well stocked supermarket. Calm and peaceful for the adults. Our safari tent was in the newer section of the park and idyllically placed. I am not sure that the older section of the park would have been so quiet. Nicola from Worcester (17 August 2014)
A lovely parc with an amazing setting. The parc was very clean and well maintained with very good facilities. It was beautifully situated by the lake - amazing views from the restaurant/bar and staff were very helpful. Helen from Bishop'S Stortford (16 August 2014)
Phillip (the eurocamp courier) knows how important holidays are to families and does everything he can to ensure you have a good time. Andrew (12 August 2014)
I am a convert to safari tents. I was well impressed with the tent and will certainly be coming back in one next year. Andrew from Nottingham (10 August 2014)
Great camp in beautiful location. Well run, clean perfectly located on the lake near salo and all staff, both eurocamp and fornellas are excellent! Justin from South Wales (10 August 2014)
Fornella was fab! Louise from Melton Mowbray (05 August 2014)
Absolutely fantastic holiday and site. It was a fab holiday. Janice (02 August 2014)
Lovely holiday despite the rainy weather. Would definitely go back. Clare from Newport (27 July 2014)
This was a lovely site, right on the lake. Fantastic views, friendly staff and great facilities. Had a great time despite the weather. Hilary (27 July 2014)
We had an amazing week at fornella, despite a few days of heavy rain. The campsite was really well located for exploring the lake which is exactly what we wanted. We had a car for the week and i'd recommend this, although there are a lot of excursions bookable on site by boat or coach which I 'm sure go to pretty much all the places we visited but would probably work out more expensive. . our top tips are:. - salo is full of restaurants and shops and walkable in about 40 minutes, or 15 mins by bike. - hire a bike. The ones on site are really good quality mountain bikes (18€ for day each) but the area is full of road cyclists too and apparently road bikes are available for hire nearby. - get the boat to malcesine from salo or portese and get the cable car up monte baldo. Best views i've ever seen! could have stayed up there all day if we didn't have to get the last boat back. - lasize - really nice old town with lots of restaurants/cafes. - gardone riviera - small town but some really impressive old villas and a nice place for a coffee/lunch. - bring inflatables for the lake! from what we saw, the campsite is in one of the cleanest and clearest parts of the lake. - bring a waterproof jacket and sensible shoes, and don't let you rain stop you from exploring. - go to bar central for dinner in san felice. Excellent, well priced, homemade food and good if you'd like a glass of wine as you can walk back to the campsite from here. - pick up a discount card/leaflet at campsite reception for discounts on ferry travel across the lake, as well as others including gardaland entry, cable car in malcesine . - there are not that many restaurants in portese or san felice so expect to drive if you want choice. . - if you get stuck, ask phil the eurocamp rep - he knows everything. . we will be back! Laura from London (24 July 2014)
The eurocamp accommodation was to close together, the next caravans toilet window faced our decking so it was not to pleasant. Ian from Lichfield (18 July 2014)
Camping fornella is a very well run site with excellent facilities and access to the area. The location of the eurocamp accommodation on the site was also very good, both close to the pool and to the reception/supermarket. The courier team led by phil was very good but phil himself was exceptional both in terms of his welcome and knowledge. I would have no hesitation in recommending this site. Mark from Bangor (16 July 2014)
We had a fantastic family holiday at fornella and can absolutely recommend it! the only thing that let it down was the restaurant which was overpriced and didn't serve pizzas until 6.30. The parc was in a great location and was well maintained and had everything you need. We will definitely go back! Mark from Dubai (07 July 2014)
We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday at parc fornella last week, the campsite was lovely, very well run and well kept and clean. The couriers were friendly and happy to help. The accommodation worked well with a little one and had everything that we needed. Philip from Manchester (06 July 2014)
Eurocamp reps really helpful, though main reception slightly unhelpful...couldn't get onto wifi and wouldn't refund! Laura from Izmir (22 June 2014)
Stayed at here for four nights in a eurocamp tent. eurocamp staff were great, and so were the campsite staff; we had an issue with our hire car and the staff on the campsite acted as translators for me. . the campsite is very modern and well maintained, so nothing to worry about there. the swimming pools are great, with pleanty of sun loungers and space for them, so it made a nice change to be able to easily find a space despite the campsite being rammed. . on the west side of the lake, san felice del benaco is a sleepy little town, but still has plenty of restaurants if you want to go out for a meal. we also stayed on the much busier east side of the lake near bordolino, but san felice del benaco was my preffered side. Glyn from Nottingham (21 June 2014)
My wife and I had a wonderful time at fornella. Helped very much by jo and phil. Jo's advice on day's out and places to eat was very helpful! thank you to all at fornella and eurocamp! Matthew from Norwich (15 June 2014)
Excellent parc with great facilities, and a stunning location on the edge of lake garda made swimming in the lake the perfect finish to each day. . the whole parc was very well kept and spotlessly clean, the pools brilliant with swimming and play areas. Only 5 minutes from portese meant catching the ferry across the lake was easy, as was driving around to other towns on the shore. My only criticism would be more general in that like other italian sites, I felt the mobile home pitches were a bit close, and arriving in a heat wave, air conditioning should have been an essential option Matt from Aylesford (12 June 2014)
Staff very friendly and helpfull a good team June from Chichester West Sussex (11 June 2014)
A fantastic time from start to finish. Eurocamp couriers and all the staff at fornella could not be faulted, going out of their way to make your stay great. Its a in a great position, we went to modena to the ferrari museum, just fantastic. Phil our eurocamp courier and his colleagues always around in a casual manner to make sure everything was in order and if they could give any assistance or advice. We will be back. The only thing that would help everyone is an extra bin for seperating the general waste from the recycling bits. Phil from Christchurch (03 June 2014)
This site has a great lakeside location. It is a lovely, well maintained park. With lots of open spaces. We were there in may, so still very quiet and had pools and lake almost to ourselves. . restaurant on site was excellent, and also did a very reasonable take away service with pizzas costing about 6 euros. The highlight of our week was a day where we hired a power boat from the campsite's boat park and did a tour of south lake garda, with lots of swimming off the boat. (5 hours hire cost 90 euros). also recommended is baia del vento, a man made but very attractive beach 10 minutes walk away, where they hire out pedals, kayaks, sups etc. It has a steeply sloping beach great for swimming. We would definitely consider holidaying here again and would pick this site in preference to 2 other nearby eurocamp sites where we have stayed previously. It might be worth pointing out that there were very few english guests on site, however all the campsite staff spoke excellent english. It was hot at the end of may -around 25-28 degrees! but we did have frequent heavy showers! which soon passed by. . Jill from Bramhall Cheshire (31 May 2014)
Lovely scenic parc. Great being on the lake shore and liked the beach and restaurant. Swimming in the lake and looking up at snow capped mountains! accommodation well equipped and comfortable - nice big deck. And friendly helpful eurocamp reps. Christopher from London (31 May 2014)
Reasonable location, good value for money, friendly helpful staff Patricia from Austria (26 May 2014)
Superb parc, great facilities and fantastic staff Karen from Colchester (19 May 2014)
Fantastic campsite, amazing restaurant and lovely pitches. However caravan had a little sewage problem and the caravans are the older style ones, not revamped. We can overlook this though as the campsite overall is fantastic, location is great and the eurocamp reps were brilliant. Christina from Basingstoke (11 May 2014)
Great holiday on a lovely site for young families. Special mention for the courriers. Very helpful and nice. Alex (10 May 2014)
Fun David from Oldham (05 May 2014)
A lovely peaceful spot right by lake garda. Easy driving distant to salo and other resorts Alison from Leek (18 September 2013)
Mobile homes are very old :-( Marinela from Germany (08 September 2013)
Another super holiday at fornella. Great weather, beautiful situation & friendly hard-working & couriers Malcolm from Chester Uk (08 September 2013)
Amazing holiday an outdoor gas cooker/bbq would have been the icing on the cake as it was too hot to cook in the tent. Alison (06 September 2013)
Heavenly. the location is the best of any eurocamp holiday I have been to. you are right by the lake and the restaurant overlooks the lake. views are fantastic. easy access to the beach. friendly and helpful staff. wonderful! Lola from London (24 August 2013)
Fornella is a lovely campsite. It has a quiet, relaxed feel about it. The pools are great and not too busy.we always managed to get a sunlounger. The restaurant was good and the staff really friendly. The supermarket is adequate having all the basics, if lacking in variety. Car hire is expensive and eurocamp were unable to tell us whether a car was needed or not. In the end we went without a car. We didn't miss the car, but we had to do a bit of walking. There is no atm on the site and the nearest bank is in san felice.although ok only1km away it is up hill and there are no pavements for some of the way. Similarly to get to the ferry you need to walk to porto portese which takes 45 mins with a 6 year old. There is a little road train that goes to both of these places, but it is often full. You can book trips from the park to towns around the lake which is simpler than getting the ferry. Also the trip to isola del garda direct from the campsite is a must. Overall we enjoyed our holiday. Richard from Nottingham (18 August 2013)
The couriers were ok but didn't do anything to stand out, plus we asked for extra towels but they never appeared. The park is ok though everything closes for 2 h during the day, including the kids pool and supermarket! accommodation was as advertised but the trailers were very close to each other so you are often overlooked by neighbours. James from Wokingham (17 August 2013)
We have been holidaying with eurocamp for 11 years and staying at fornella for 7 years. we return each year because of the stunning location and have remained loyal to eurocamp because of the relationship we have built with the couriers. phil in particular outstanding at his job and his customer services skills are excellent. however, the accommodation is now far beyond acceptable. the mobiles were tired when we first used them 7 years ago, they are now well beyond their 'sell by date'. we had three sets of friends who visited during our 3 week stay, all stayed with thompsons. we also met with families who have stayed on fornella in the past with eurocamp, all were staying with select camp and thompsons this year, they couldnt face another holiday in the eurocamp mobiles. for such a wonderful site it seems such a shame that eurocamp do not see the benefit in investing in some new mobile homes. the mobiles are quite simply falling apart, we havent used the showers for 6 years - they are unusable. The decking is dangerously old and no air conditioning makes it unbearable. if you take the time to walk around fornella, it is clear that eurocamp are the poor relations on the site; I would be surprised if the cavazza's allow eurocamp to continue with these mobiles for much longer. I hope you take this feedback as constructive as this is the intention. we have arrived home this year feeling that sadly we did not receive value for money. not only with the mobile home but all the little touches, such as the holiday gift seems to have been abondoned. a real shame that this may be our last year with eurocamp. Caroline from London (14 August 2013)
A great parc, it had everything you needed especially for families with younger children. The eurocamp couriers couldn't have been more helpful. I would definitly recommend this parc. Tamara from Belfast (13 August 2013)
Fantastic holiday, lovely site Jenny from Norwich (13 August 2013)
Special mention for eurocamp courier phil. provided information and support beyond the call. . camp was ideally placed for lake garda and well laid out. many new facilities and a brand new shop on the site this year made for an ideal family base. . a busy site but no issues with noise late at night. swimming pools on site are ideal for families and most of the time spent on site during the day was in/around the pool, although they do close for a couple of hours in the afternoon. Dai from Devon (09 August 2013)
Loved it, great camp, great location, great weather, whats not to like! Justin from Caerphilly (08 August 2013)
Nice parc. Clean cabin. Clean parc and friendly staff. Good for small kids. Good area, full of other activities outside camp. Only issue of one fan and no air conditioning considering the amount of heat. Kids loved it. so did we. Oluyemi (04 August 2013)
Brilliant campsite that is extremely well looked after. Phil the rep was brilliant. Swimming pools are lovely. Just a shame we had the noisiest placement on the site - right next to the entrance/exit. Andrew (01 August 2013)
Good park in lovely position by lake. Couriers were excellent. The accommodation was showing it's age compared to some of the mobiles we stayed in on other eurocamp parks during this holiday. Tina (31 Jul 2013)
Would highly recommend this parc to everybody. Had a brilliant holiday. Tracy from Accrington (28 Jul 2013)
Parc was excellent, very clean and well kept. Accomodation was clean on arrival and everything was provided. However, the layout of the mobile was not very good..toilet was separate from bathroom and was off the main living area. This meant that all toilet noises and smells had to be endured by people sitting at the table. Not very pleasant! so we chose to use the toilets in the shower block (which wasn't convenient). phil ( the eurocamp rep ) and his team were very good though, always friendly and helpful when we met them!! Sharon (25 Jul 2013)
Fabulous Carol from Glasgow (17 Jul 2013)
Excellent, clean, relaxed and friendly camp, the couriers are very helpful and friendly. Restaurant reasonably priced good food, nice staff. Would go again. Maureen (30 Jun 2013)
Highly recommended. Everything you need. Well maintained and friendly. Would definately return. Jane from Southampton (30 Jun 2013)
This was our second week of vacation in italy. fornella was my personal favourite. the safari tent helped! Christine from Montreal (29 Jun 2013)
Very good, however in future we will only book if we can have an a/c. . we all suffered a lot due to very high temps/humidity. Michael from Sidcup (25 Jun 2013)
Beautiful area with loads of attractions within easy travelling dustance. Excellent on site reps offering 5* customer service. Wayne from Armadale, West Lothian (20 Jun 2013)
A fantastic tent on a fantastic pitch served by a fantastic courier. Located in a wonderful corner of italy. Nigel from Fairford (08 Jun 2013)
Great break along the beautiful banks of lake garda Simon from Eccles (29 May 2013)
The campsite was very pretty and pleasant enough but would recommend for families with young children rather than those over the age of 5. We travelled with a 12 year old and two 9 year olds who became bored very quickly. Alison from Colchester (28 May 2013)
We cannot really find fault with this site and it's staff. Phil went above the call of duty and really helped us. Everyone was really friendly and although they kept a low profile were always there if we needed them. Everywhere was so clean and the toilets etc were spotless. Same with the crockery etc in the tent, things were very clean. Pamela from Ashtead Surrey (24 May 2013)
Excellent site, and helpful staff. We have a really good time. Samuel from London (12 May 2013)
