We had a lovely relaxing holiday at el bahira. the restaurant and pizzeria served delicious food at good prices and most nights we sat and watched the sunset on the bar terrace. we were there out of season so there was no evening or children's entertainment which worked well for us, as there was a peaceful atmosphere to the site. Janet (10 October 2015)
Well kept parc, with very well equipped accommodation, in a lovely location, although need transport to get there and around and about. no direct access to the sea, very rocky, (but stunning coastline). Kay from Deal (03 October 2015)
Excellent holiday in a wild and beautiful seaside location, with easy access to the local resort, and, with a car, access to many interesting important historic sites within easy driving time. Christopher from Bristol (22 September 2015)
Four adults was a bit of a squeeze but otherwise mobile home great. Lovely location but definitely need a car. pool area clean and safe. beach area well maintained and lifeguard on duty, beach bar fab. Tracy (19 September 2015)
Excellent holiday, beautiful surrounding the only fault was the on site shop was very bare and we had to shop else where to buy food etc. Carla (17 September 2015)
Nice camp set in a beautiful location. the camps beach is not really suitable for young children as it is totally rocky and the only swimming is off the end of a pier, with no option of paddling/playing in the shallows - however there are other beaches within a couple of miles that are more suited if you are happy to drive. However if you hve older children who are interested in snorkeling - perfect. the camp has 2 nice sized pools but be aware that they are both salt water and you must wear swimming hats. Laurence from Kings Lynn (03 September 2015)
Really enjoyed the hot weather , accomodation and location of mobile home on the camp site. The courier was excellent and very friendly. The parc had good facilities. Nuala from London (29 August 2015)
Our rep eddie was brilliant and he was always very helpful and friendly. The actual camp was very busy and noisy but it was august. We would recommend not to go when it is their festival. However the setting was lovely and we enjoyed the area it was in. Belinda (25 August 2015)
The parc was incredibly noisy whilst we were there. the facilities for children were poor, including the pool being closed 1 -4 Elizabeth (23 August 2015)
The scenery was great, food in nearby san vito lo capo was excellent, everyone was friendly, ice cream was excellent. it would be worth knowing some standard italian phrases as english is not widely spoken. Ellen from London (01 August 2015)
Great park - a little bit remote unless you've a car. Only other downside was the salt water pool and it closing 1-4. John from Surrey (24 July 2015)
Camp was somewhat remote but good.very much a sicilian atmosphere.area "ruggedly beautiful".our couries was very helpful. Catherine from Manchester (21 July 2015)
Had a fabulous time. Camp was great especially restaurant which was very good value. Our euro camp courier eddie was especially good. Andrew from Aviemore (18 July 2015)
Poor beach - very rocky. Useless wifi. Great rep - eddy Elizabeth (16 July 2015)
Camp has a quirky look, people working for the site and other guests really made our holiday. Rep eddie does a grand job keeping the cabins clean and tidy. The cabins themselves on el bahira at the moment would be older than what we have been used to, but clean none the less. Overall we had a ball and will return more than likely in summer 2017 ! Corrina from Newtownabbey (15 July 2015)
. eurocamp needs to be more aware of problems with the roads in sicily. the main road from catania to palermo was effected by the loss of a bridge some months before we travelled making a 4 hr journey a 7 hour journey. would have helped to know that in advance from eurocamp. Sally from Edinburgh (12 July 2015)
Had a lovely holiday ,campsite setting really beautiful.holiday rep very helpful and good sense of humour.would definitively recommend this site for adults because of setting, not so good for young children due to access into sea and feel there are other sites which would accommodate there needs better.but for us it was perfect. Sandra from Norwich (24 June 2015)
A lovely quiet and secluded park. Maybe a little isolated but who cares with an on -site restaurant like the one here. However it maybe more appropriate for couples with no children. . eddie, the lone courier, was absolutely superb. Anthony from Aylesbury (22 June 2015)
We loved our holiday. Eddie made us feel very welcome, his hard work and attention made a fantastic holiday, amazing! we loved the site, but found the siesta closure of the gates a little restricting. Nicola from El Bahira (20 June 2015)
Lovely, rugged region, quite unspoilt. The beach and bars of san vito are lovely, and the zingaro reserve is quite spectacular, free from traffic. Erice is worth a visit with wonderful views and lovely coffee shops. Bryn from Kent (20 June 2015)
In general we really enjoyed the holiday. Petro from Braintree (12 June 2015)
Eddie was the best courier i've ever encountered. You seriously need to triple his pay. Park was good, shame about the saltwater pool with it's no diving rule and blaring music, but that's italy for you. The mobile homes are in a lovely spot and the nearby resort of san vito was very pleasant. Just a shame we missed the snorkelling boat trip. Richard from Stockport (02 June 2015)
We went in the may half term with our 6 and 7 year old children. We all had an enjoyable relaxing holiday. It was a quiet site tucked away under pine trees and next to a rocky beach. This had been made into a lovely area and we were down there everyday. The bar/restaurant and pizzeria on site did great food. We used the swimming pool every day as well. All of these had amazing views over the sea and mountains. The local town is about 10 mins drive away with a lovely sandy beach and again good food. Would definitely recommend it with young children. Hazel from Brighton (30 May 2015)
We loved the location, the pool, the views, the restaurant, the mobile home and our courier, eddie who couldn't have been more helpful. We were disappointed by the "beach" and, being early season, no access to the sea - which was rough in any case. The shop was disappointing too. . the camp was charming as a whole, with some quirky details, and very focussed on climbing activities on the beautiful cliffs behind. Marilyn from Rodd (26 May 2015)
Had a lovely three weeks at this site, it's a bit remote for visiting other parts of sicily but nothing beats sitting in the sun! Fiona from Linlithgow (22 May 2015)
Very nice and helpful couriers - please pass our thanks onto them both. . the single beds in the smaller bedrooms are much too small in length and size for a normal sized adult ! that really lets the moile home down - please change this Customer 26 (11 October 2014)
Lovely location, good for couples, need a car. Rocky beach. Steven from Newcastle Under Lyme, Staffs. (01 October 2014)
Booking the holiday was easy and the call centre staff were excellent and extremely helpful. everything related to eurocamp was first class and I couldn't fault it. the flaw with the holiday was the flights with ryanair. going through airports these days has become a real test of stamina but being treated like cattle is very off putting. John from Wilsden (22 September 2014)
We stayed in a three bed one bath van. It, as always was superb. This park is great but not for everyone. We enjoy using it as a base and especially to visit nearby zingaro reserve. We also love snorkelling of the stone beach at the campsite, weather/sea conditions permitting. Campsite looking a little tired. Gillian from Ayrshire (22 September 2014)
Fabulous holiday in a fairly quiet corner of sicily. Roisin from County Down (18 September 2014)
Very good holiday. Excellent eurocamp couriers Faye from London (12 September 2014)
Fantastic location, but you need to factor into the holiday cost your car hire and the standard of driving in sicily which is very bad. Get eurocamp to arrange your car hire to avoid being ripped off! the camp site is loud and lively except for the 2 hour siesta between 2 and 4 p,m, and the pool is shut from 1 to 4 p.m. Camp shop is good and the restuarant and pizza restuarant 1st class. Mark from Deal (10 September 2014)
For me a disappointing place to visit. Roy from Staplehurst, Kent (09 September 2014)
Excellent holiday, lovely park and couriers, only issue was that we were only given 1 card for 2 sunbeds, when we had 5 people. The lifeguard on the beach was pretty good about it, but it was the only nuisance experienced, otherwise I would re-visit in a heartbeat. Jemma from Gloucestershire (07 September 2014)
Good holiday. Massimo from Rome (04 September 2014)
Good holiday. enjoyed seeing the island culture and the food/wine. Weather extremely hot. Sea too rough to allow swimming from private beach on several days. Driving in sicily took some getting used to with signposting poor. Everywhere locally very busy on our arrival during famagusta. Confirmed Holidaymaker from Longfield (28 August 2014)
We had difficulty finding the campsite as the signage did not point to the turning, just how many kilometres, and in the dark, with the plastic sign twisted, we went past it about 4 times. it would be good to have a small map of how to get to the site on the instructions, rather than just the road as this was fine. . . we loved the picturesque view from the man made beach that was just a few minutes walk from the holiday home. we did not realise that we would be going when there was a festival on with music until 2am for approx. 5 nights. this was difficult for those of us in our group who slept lightly and we could not find a place to park easily as the site was so full. it would be really helpful to have allocated parking. it would also be helpful to have air con in each of the rooms as the temperature did not go below 30 degrees at night and was almost unbearable. . it would be good to have information about parking at key destinations. twice we were asked for payment to park from men who were not official and one of these occasions was in palermo, where we could have got towed away because we were invited to park where you were not allowed to. a fellow camper told us that in san vito, there was a field where you could park for free, which was great as we had gone in there by taxi previously at a cost of ten euros and then could not get back (the number given by reception did not work of the firm who had taken us). once the festival was over, peace resumed and we could use the pool and enjoy the beach bar. internet connection was poor, we only managed to connect by wifi on one occasion in two weeks. the food was good in the restaurant and the pizzas were great. Janice from Epping (23 August 2014)
A relaxed holiday, mixing chilling on the beach with visiting a variety of cultural sights and experiences. Enjoyed eating good italian food, and not meeting many other british holidaymakers. An authentically italian holiday destination. However the camp site became overcrowded and the weather was oppressively hot due to the time of year, when the italians celebrate a festival and they all seemed to converge on el bahira for the middle weekend of august. Kate from Wimbledon, London (18 August 2014)
Lovely beach holiday - very relaxing. Russell from Stockport (13 August 2014)
Very good mobile home and facilities plus in a parc with everything and a brill swimming pool and own beach. Charlie from San Vito (09 August 2014)
This was a lovely campsite, the beach bar was a lovely addition and the location was great for little trips to other coves ideal for snorkelling. I would like to return. Sam from London (06 August 2014)
Pretty location but rather isolated and basic. Supermarket on site very small and did not always stock meat. Most products over priced. 1 restaurant very expensive and 1 pizzeria. Sea nearest to site accessed by jetty. This was not always open if mild waves. Swimming pool very clean but played very inappropriate songs for young children. Couriers very welcoming. Sarah from Ross-On-Wye (06 August 2014)
Overall the parc was good. Salt water pool wasn't great, and that combined with red flag on the beach for most of the stay meant we had to get in the car most days. Simon from Cardiff (03 August 2014)
Really great park, great cabins kept nice and clean by the superb couriers. The sea was fantastic take your snorkel and you will be in there for hours. The pool was kept very clean although it can get busy at weekends so we spent most of the time at the beach, the beach bar was great value and very nice simple menu, ideal for lunch. I would recommend this parc to any of my friends with or without children as there is so much to see and do, beware the loud disco which goes on until exactly midnight but it probably our problem for going to bed too early! Ruairidh from Shrewsbury (01 August 2014)
Enjoyed every minute, very relaxing site. Ideally situated for sightseeing. Patricia from Surrey (30 July 2014)
A lovely camp in beautiful settings. Diane from Sicily (25 July 2014)
Accommodation good and swimming pool outstanding. Beaches surrounding the site a a little limited but plenty of excellent walks. A delightful, restful break. Peter from Colchester (20 July 2014)
Fantastic holiday in a stunning and unspoiled location. Customer 48 from Irvine (04 July 2014)
El bahira is a lovely campsite and we had a fantastic holiday Maureen from Northampton (29 June 2014)
Lovely site, the landscaping of the beach area and site communal; areas excellent.great views. Pool area clean and well managed. Site staff very helpful and friendly- special mention to luigi who offered to give us a lift and collect us from a local restaurant to save a taxi fare!. early season, so not much life in the bar in the evening. But gather that changes in high season. Michael from Walsall (29 June 2014)
We had a really relaxing time and really got away from it all! the campsite is a real rural retreat with a cute private beach and great facilities. A really great situation and great facilities. For us the animations team was a bit too full-on, and was our only slight fly in the ointment as it was quite noisy from during the day to late at night. However, for parents it's probably a godsend! David from Vernet-Les-Bains , France (24 June 2014)
We had a fantastic week at el bahira. Our children thoroughly enjoyed it too. We spent time at the local beach, san vito lo capo as well as exploring zingaro nature reserve and erice. There is plenty to do here and lots of food delights to try too. Although out of season the park got very busy at weekends and the entertainment was quite loud especially when it went on from 9.30-midnight (luckily it didn't wake the children up). Emma from Hampshire (22 June 2014)
The parc is very remote from most of the major attractions / sites of interest in sicily. A car is a must to get around but even then this involves driving long distances. We did visit mt etna - a 5 hr drive each way. However, we enjoyed lots of walks along the coast and in the nature reserves close by. Brian from Leamington Spa (19 June 2014)
Excellent setting in a beautiful bay. The parc is small but very clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. The pools are very clean and covered by a lifeguard who is very strict on poolside rules. The site is quite unique, the owners have set palm trees and cactus around the caravans, on the beach and on the driveway entrance. There is also a herb garden there which visitors can use. The couriers judy and pete were great- around if you needed them but not constantly visiting. I would suggest the best time for couples is june / september as we were told it gets very busy and noisy during july and august with local visitors. Overall a brilliant holiday. Mary from Nottinghamshire (14 June 2014)
The best eurocamp ever megan irving age:8. Mark from Altrincham (01 June 2014)
A beautiful situation, surrounded by wild flowers and crystal sea. Weather was perfect, not too hot, and all parc facilities were beautifully managed (the plants on site were wonderful - we had a herb garden right outside our door!) and clean. As a non-driver, the nearest town was a little hard to get to without a lift but as a consequence the site was very quiet. Our accommodation was flawless - absolutely spotless and very comfortable. Laura from Glasgow (25 May 2014)
Excellent holiday. the parc and the accommodation were great. the campsite was better than we expected. we imagine in high season it could be too busy for us but when we were there in may,the atmosphere was lovely. the couriers were very helpful and friendly. we would recommend this site. Sue from Winkleigh, Devon (10 May 2014)
Excellent value for money. Aidan from Kettering (13 October 2013)
A relaxing 5-day break spent mainly around the poolside with a little sight-seeing thrown in. Sue from Oxford (12 October 2013)
Very enjoyable, lovely area, plenty to see and do. Susan from Bolton (02 October 2013)
Super campsite, wonderful island, one of the best holidays. I will go back. Antonio from Bedford (01 October 2013)
Lovely holiday the eurocamp staff were wonderful and added to holiday. Looking forward to booking with you next year. Helen from Newport (01 October 2013)
Good holiday but parc to remote Robert from Northern Ireand (23 September 2013)
We had an excellent holiday. very attractive park with lovely beach though not suitable for swimming while we were there. quiet location. well located accommodation with no serious problems. courier very helpful and prepared accommodation well - ie very clean. good value for money in mid september. Avril from Rugby (21 September 2013)
A very pleasing and relaxing holiday at a pretty location with pleasant weather. Customer 65 from Norwich (17 September 2013)
Overall holiday was great sun came out and spent many lovely days on a beach 1km away, the valley of the temples at agrigenta were amazing and well worth the long car drive, for a shorter car drive try the temples at segesta but they where not any where near as amazing. a visit to erice is a must the views from the chair lift are out of this world. If going to trapani take lots of money very expensive, the beach at san capo is wonderful but the beach sellers are very annoying and the town very disappointing and watch out for the street parking we got or car towed away because we misunderstood the street parking meters advise is check meter name matches street name, marsala well lots of shops giving wine tasting and food was amazing, overall sicily is a fantastic island but you need a car as site is a long way from anywhere. Nikki from Hastings (13 September 2013)
I would recommend the parc and the facilities to anyone. It is very popular for all kinds of accommodation. Climbers and people driving around europe also use this site. It is much nicer than it looks in the brochure. . . keycamp looked after every and all of our needs from booking and throughout the holiday. A very friendly, efficient, but not over intruding process. No hard sell and someone always willing to help and advise. . it was good value for the money!. . sicily and the parc and camp site were lovely and well worth a visit! David from Mictcham/Surrey (12 September 2013)
Just returned from a wonderful 6 days in sicily. The accommodation was spotless, courier very friendly. Beautiful scenery and places nearby to see. My 5 year old wants to live there forever. Anita from Basingstoke (06 September 2013)
Overall great holiday apart from music from top bar far too loud and same inane list of music every night Paul (02 September 2013)
A really enjoyable holiday. The location is great, the parc is very nice & the kids had a whale of a time! Helen from Lichfield (31 August 2013)
Beautiful scenery. Avoid mid august however as 5 days of local festival when the site is overflowing with sicilians and no space at all at pool and disco noise till 3 am spoiling what was otherwise a relaxing holiday . our pitch also lacked any shade or privacy which was a disappointment . Sally from London (22 August 2013)
Overall a good holiday. Local area and beaches are lovely. Be mindful that the park becomes a different place during ferrogusto ( mid aug ) Allison from Lancashire (19 August 2013)
This park has a lovely relaxed atmosphere. The entertainment team work extremely hard. Prices are reasonable. I was impressed that eurocamp visitors had free sunbeda at the beach. . a car is a must for this site. Teresa from London (11 August 2013)
We did enjoy the holiday;. . however the disco was very noisy every night until midnight - you couldn't sleep until finished - very inconvenient if you have babies/toddlers and are woken up early next morning. . the accommodation (for the price) I felt was not up to standard generally. The air conditioning kept failing etc . . overall though it did not spoil our holiday but we would not return to this parc. Emma from Harpenden, Herts (05 August 2013)
El bahira is set in the most fantastic location, with stunning scenery right on your doorstep and crystal clear waters for snorkelling. It offers a good base for seeing sicily with a trip to nearby scopello. Zingaro and erice being an absolute must. For us, the trip offered the perfect combination of rest, sightseeing, culture and watersports. Jane from Warnes (12 Jul 2013)
Very convenient for the great beach at st vito lo capo and the zingaro nature reserve. The weather was perfect and the sicilian people very friendly and helpful. Lovely boat trips available nearby. Noel from Lytham St Annes (23 Jun 2013)
On arrival we were meet by derrick, our courier, who was very friendly and helpful. The accommodation was very clean and bright. The site was very busy when we arrived, on saturday, but quiet from the monday as most of the people staying are italians who own caravans on site and visit at the weekend. The swimming pools are wonderful but very cold as they are filled from the sea, I was told, and not heated. The entertainment staff around the pool are friendly, fun and inviting especially giavanni, the children's entertainer. My 3 year old son fell in love with him and would look forward to playing games with him and the other children while I relaxed by the pool side or joined in with the daily aqua aerobics. We only went to the beach on site for about five minutes as it's very rocky and not suitable for small children but fine if you just want to laze in the sun. The supermarket on site was fine but some things a little over priced so we did a big shop at the simply supermarket, which was pretty cheap. The only things I would complain about were, when we arrived the supermarket was closed, we arrived at 8pm, we had no food or drink and had to eat at the on site pizza place which you would think being in italy the pizza would be good but i've tasted better at dominos. Also the next day when we went to use the plates, spoons etc I found they still had bits of food on them from the last people in our accommodation who didn't clean them before they left and these hadn't been checked before we arrived. But that aside we had a wonderful holiday and were sad to leave at the end of our stay. Deborah from London (23 Jun 2013)
Excellent. we could have lived without the late night disco, but then we don't have children and understand that the 'entertainment' is nothing to do with eurocamp. John from Frodsham (15 Jun 2013)
Stunning location, keycamp rep excellent and informative of local knowledge Tom from Leicester (15 Jun 2013)
Relaxed, perfect location would recommend for anyone wanting to visit sicily Michelle (08 Jun 2013)
A lovely holiday in beautiful surroundings Confirmed Holidaymaker (04 Jun 2013)
We set out to explore italy and the eurocamp locations where we stopped off helped us enormously. Everything was to our satisfaction at all campsites. Peter from Charente Maritime, France (23 May 2013)
Relaxing, and very pleasant derek was very helpful, accommodation w as perfect, clean and comfortable. Jean from Hampton Hill Middx (07 May 2013)
Really lovely park, stunning scenery, great facilities, clean and roomy accomodation. The area is beautiful and with a hire car there is lots to explore. We will be returning in the future. Jacqueline from Plymouth (04 May 2013)
