The area around castellane is really lovely, the verdon gorge itself is only a few miles away, lots of active stuff to do in the area, the park was very quiet in september and closing down for the season so lots of park activities not open, but nice anyway and good weather. Couriers very nice and helpful when asked. Own transport needed for this park. Although castellane only a walk away
Carol from Bognor Regis (28 September 2015)

Our first time in eurocamp and it proved to be a pleasant experience and look forward to going again.
John from Birkin (20 September 2015)

Fantastic
Ailish from Luxembourg (11 September 2015)

Enjoyed every minute super place to see my only comment on the down side I think there was not enough information about the area, would be good to have information pack in the accommodation.
Michael (01 September 2015)

Swimming pool needs overhaul and restaurant is ok but could be a lot better. good sports facilities. Fishing rules a bit ludicrous.
Customer 5 (31 August 2015)

Great campsite with good amenities and very child friendly.
John from London (30 August 2015)

Bit noisy
Paul from Hull (29 August 2015)

Wonderful scenery. Excellent site with very friendly and knowledgable staff. An indoor pool would be a good addition.
Graham from Egham (29 August 2015)

Amazing area, scenery and environment was breathtaking, campsite was excellent although very busy and noisy but we expected this as we were visiting in the high season - kids loved it though. This is one place on the return list.
Cameron from Stoke On Trent (20 August 2015)

We had a fantastic holiday in castellane. The downside for us was the site was very large and noisy. The on-site entertainment was every night of the week and went on till 11pm, which meant that despite a noise curfew of 11pm with all the people returning noisily to their places it was effectively noisy till midnight. I think this should be made clearer to people before booking. . the site was otherwise very good, well placed and the eurocamp couriers were lovley.
Confirmed Holidaymaker (13 August 2015)

Excellent location, superb site.
Berian (10 August 2015)

Very good, courier was excellent. Great knowledge, friendly but not intrusive. Pool gaurd was a bit whistle happy, and the ridiculous no board shirt rule was enforced
John from Eaglescliffe (04 August 2015)

Some plots were a lot bigger and better than others.
Paul from Guernsey (30 July 2015)

Amazing holiday. Would really recommend to anyone wanted an action packed and yet relaxing holiday
Jennifer from London (28 July 2015)

The best parc we have been to! beautiful local surroundings, and the parc itself is brilliant, with so much to do.
Victoria from Wombourne (25 July 2015)

We've been coming to this site since the 1980's and using the eurocamp large mobile homes by the lake since the early 2000's. . our favourite site.
Customer 16 from Cardiff (23 July 2015)

Caravan pitch 770 terrific. Couriers outstanding. Area fantastic. Campsite good. Only disappointment was swimming pool complex. Very crowded - children diving bombing etc made it difficult to swim although they were loving it. No sunbeds around the pool to relax although I understand these were available up to july 1st.
John from Selsey (22 July 2015)

The park is in a lovely position for a summer holiday. we enjoyed the verdon river a lot - and our trip up the gorge. the accommodation itself was much smaller than we had anticipated, and very close to other campers. I was looking forward to being able to unpack properly and spread out a bit after weeks of single night accommodation - but we had to leave some of our belongings in the car as there was just not enough space. the kids room was especially lacking in space. apart from the lack of space and proximity to neighbours though, the accommodation was clean, well considered and well appointed. the camp contacts were very friendly and helpful.
Jenny from Perth (14 July 2015)

Domaine du verdon is the best site we have stayed in. The beauty of the site exceeded my expectations, surrounded by mountains and trees and right on the doorstep of the gorges du verdon. We hired bikes and regularly cycled into castellane morning and night along the cycle path. Castellane is a very pretty provencale town with a market and lovely restaurants. The parc restaurants were good, a traditional french restaurant, reasonably priced and a good pizzeria. Although the parc was quiet and peaceful during the day (we were there at the very beginning of july just before the high season) it came alive at night time with lots of people eating out and evening entertainment (of varying quality). the pool was nice, with spectacular views. Our children (14,12 and 9) loved the pool, the free boats, the football and volleyball parc and the foam party every thursday night and made friends with belgian and dutch children of their age. Unfortunately we were only there one week before going on to a second site on the coast. The eurocamp reps tony and carol were very helpful and knowledgable about the area which was great. I gave carol a vague idea of what I wanted to see and she was able to suggest a full itinerary of walks and things to see that would be suitable for our boys. For us the highlights of the area were lac ste croix where we hired pedalos and went right into the gorges. The sentier martel and couloir samson (we only did part of it because it was very hot but i'd love to go back and do it all). the lavender and sunflower fields at puimoisson and valensole were spectacular. We also travelled to nice and on to monaco on the train des pignes, from st andre des alpes. This us a spectacular train ride through mountains and provencale scenery all the way to the coast. A long but worthwhile day out. This is a magnificent part of france and domaine du verdon is a little oasis in which to be based.
Fiona from Hamilton (14 July 2015)

This is a good place for a quiet holiday: beautiful scenery, a good looking village nearby, plenty of pleasant shops and restaurants, lots to see in the area and further afield. however, the parc has a couple of major problems and they could spoil the overall experience.
Eric from Bolton, Uk (04 July 2015)

Generally good site, but suspect it could feel very busy in peak season
Philp from Truro (04 July 2015)

Fantastic holiday we have booked again for 2016.
Gary from Norfolk (03 July 2015)

Gorgeous campsite. stayed in an aspect which was amazingly located. the couriers here were brilliant, really informative and helpful. would love to come back, but just wish it wasn't so expensive in the school holidays ! (this was our last holiday with our eldest before she starts school!)
Samantha Paul (28 June 2015)

What a brilliant place for a campsite, whether you are looking for spectacular scenery, interesting towns and villages, busy busy walking, climbing, water sports or just relaxing, utilising the excellent campsite facilities, you cannot go wrong here. we loved this campsite and the area, the caravans are laid out to give maximum privacy, on large plots and everything is close at hand.
Jean (27 June 2015)

Great couriers
Petra from Manchester (27 June 2015)

Most enjoyable holiday in a beautiful part of france
Martin from Macclesfield (21 June 2015)

The pitch was small and too shaded the only sun on the decking was an hour in the middle of the afternoon. Worst pitch in all the years we have been with eurocamp
Michael from Wakefield (20 June 2015)

Great holiday, great parc. Incredible scenery and lots to do. Couriers very friendly and helpful.
Robert from London (20 June 2015)

The couriers were outstanding, the weather and the caravan left a lot to be desired. Weather I know is nobody's fault, but a 6 hour thunder storm resulting in a direct hit on the sites main building, no internet and disturbed phone access. Very little choice in the restaurant, not even steak hache or moules and chips. The bed was very cramped in the double bedroom, so low to the floor as to be not able to stand up, I am very tall and have severe problems with my back, and in spite of great efforts on the couriers part to solve this, we stayed two nights somewhere else just get a decent nights sleep, and then the bed combined with the weather meant we also left early to more suitable accommodation. Very costly but essential. Also hated the smelly shower curtain. Furniture was elderly and shabby and again not comfortable. Had a look at the top of the range van, aspect? proper bed mattress in there but poor furniture indoors. Felt it was a lot of money for a shabby van.
Wendy from Glasgow (17 June 2015)

A nice, relaxing holiday in beautiful countryside with the charming small town of castellane, and all its amenities, close by. We even got a surprise bonus of a stage of the criterium du dauphine cycle race passing by castellane!
Judith from Fareham (16 June 2015)

Everything about our holiday was fab.. the parc was get we went end of may which is uk half term, it's there low season there so the parc was very quite, which meant that no was no entertainment for kids, the pizza place wasn't open either, which was a diaspoitment to my teenage son. If you visit the parc around this time be aware there are two ponds that are full of frogs that make a lot of noise through out the night. It woke us up every night. The area is beautiful but the roads aren't for the faint hearted.
Chloe (01 June 2015)

A secret that needs to be kept a wonderful place
Emma from Bridlington (29 May 2015)

My husband and I (and our two small dogs) had a fantastic holiday at domaine du verdon. the site is in a breathtakingly beautiful spot on the edge of the gorge du verdon and the river runs right past it. the charming town of castellane is a short walk along the river. the site had everything we wanted, including evening entertainment and a very good restaurant.
Barbara (05 September 2014)

The new aspect 'chalet' was very well designed and laid out, couriers were friendly and very helpful. Parc is a bit tired but in fantastic location.
Jason from Stamford (03 September 2014)

This is the most beautiful parc we have stayed in. The lakes, rivers, trees and mountains are truly stunning in the clean light there. Great facilities, small but fun pools, lots to amuse the kids. We didn't use the bar or restaurant but the shop keeps you in emergency essentials and hot bread and croissants. There is a large casino supermarket nearby. The two drawbacks of this site for us were the low temperatures at night - we took warm onesies to sleep in but couldn't sit out after our bbq suppers because the mountain air was cool; and related, the beautiful lush trees offer so much shade on our emplacement that we were gagging for sunshine! . but there is plenty to do locally, with forest high ropes with zipwires across the gorge du verdon, castillon lake with pedalos and canoes. Plus scenic trainride to nice for beach and cafe culture. Great holiday, as long as you can wrap up at night.
Sally (31 August 2014)

A great, fun holiday
Sara from Macclesfield (30 August 2014)

Great holiday good place for families plenty for the kids and adults to do very nice camp site would recommend
James from Reading (29 August 2014)

A fabulous family holiday mixing days of relaxation with water sport activities and exploring some of provence.
David from Dorridge (28 August 2014)

This eurocamp site is certainly the best we have stayed at. It was exactly as described in the brochure and much more besides. The site was really well maintained with refuse collected twice per day and facilities for re-cycling easily available. Although it would appear to suit the young and those interested in climbing, cycling etc and generally all outdoor activities, we found the owners had made excellent provision for all ages, particularly young children who felt secure enough to wander round the parc in safety, by virtue of the 24 hour security. We saw many happy families, who like us, just enjoyed the facilities on site, and the owners are to be highly commended for their provision of daily and nightly entertainment for the young and very young. Although the tourist spots like nice and cannes are not too far away, we felt no need to rush to the nearest beach and really enjoyed the excellent surroundings, particularly the quiet, easily walkable, back road to castellane. The scenery was spectacular and local easily reached towns and tourist attractions well within driving distance. We had a fantastic holiday. The accommodation was spotless and comfortable and the couriers could not have been more helpful. Tony and carol are to be congratulated for their professionalism and constant care for their holidaymakers. The parc owners seem to have covered all bases in this spectacular site and we would recommend eurocamp and domain du verdon to anyone. Sincere thanks you to you all.
Malcolm from Bournemouth (26 August 2014)

Beautiful location, but pool area poor compared to other sites. No loungers or seats even, just concrete! speedo's only requirement is ridiculous. . lovely walk into castellane and a good base for exploring the gorge.
Joanna from Epsom (25 August 2014)

Excellence parc, couriers were fantastic and the location of the accommodation was perfect - wow!
Hilary from Camberley (25 August 2014)

This is a fantastic parc for families, lots of great facilities and entertainment for children of all ages. It felt friendly safe and secure and the staff were all helpful and friendly. a stunning setting, the journey to the campsite is by a lot of steep and winding mountain roads a little nerve wracking but once you arrive this is immediately forgotten. The town of castellane is just beautiful and easy to walk to from the campsite via a pretty footpath. I would definitely come her again.
Suzy (25 August 2014)

Excellent overall
Customer 43 from London (21 August 2014)

Fabulous location, great campsite and facilities would return again.
Maria from Teesside (19 August 2014)

Location of the park was lovely, the facilities were great for children and the slides were fantastic. castellane (the nearest town) was very close, walking distance for adults or a short drive for kids and it had lots of lovely restaurants for the nights we wanted to go out. the only downside was the pumping music til 11pm. that said, it switches off at 11 on the dot and we were never going to bed before then anyway. the kids (3, 5, 7) were up later than usual therefore mostly slept through it but I do think 10.30 would be more sensible considering most guests have young children. it wouldn't stop us going back though.
David from London (18 August 2014)

+ + beautiful location and good facilties. Eurocamp reps very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Good location near to castellane and surrounding areas. Lots to do. - - entertainment from 9pm-11pm was far too noisy and it was generally a noisy park therefore we would not return (needed earplugs to get any sort of sleep). wifi was chargeable but didn't work. Shower blocks were very clean but old and run down. Pool (s) very small
Elaine from Leeds (17 August 2014)

We really enjoyed our stay at the domaine du verdon. The campsite was clean and well-organised and our eurocamp courriers were very welcoming and helpful. We loved the safari tent. However, the pool was rather small and crowded (it was august) and there were no chairs or sun-loungers poolside. The evening entertainment was on the loud side and rather repetitive, but it finished by 11pm and after that the site was quiet. I would strongly recommend this site to families with older children who are more able to appreciate the canyoning, rafting and river swimming. It is a beautiful location.
Emma (14 August 2014)

Lovely activity holiday. Parc good, pool ok although no seating area. Great to be by the river to "float down" on our rings and able to walk into town. Restaurant ok, pizzeria not good snack bar good.
Claire (13 August 2014)

Lovely parc with fantastic facilities. The pools are really clean with a lifeguard. Entertainment every evening that the kids enjoyed. Would recommend this parc to anyone.
Sarah from Beverley (13 August 2014)

Caravan was very noisy - next to communal bbq and volleyball court.
Geraldine (09 August 2014)

A superb location right next to the verdon with stunning views all round. great for the active, I loved running in the morning, to castellane & then back to the site is lovely early morning 5k! you can drive to cannes & monaco easily from the site and there is plenty of local activities to try. our family went white water rafting and loved it! there is a safe pathway into castellane for lovely restaurants and shops and there is a well stocked supermarket on the outskirts of the village too. the pool area is fairly small but the kids loved it, dads beware: 'budgie smugglers' are the only swimwear allowed!
Matt from Brentwood (06 August 2014)

This was the first time we have used eurocamp. The whole experience was great from communication to the holiday itself. We are already planning the next trip.
Sid from Maidstone Kent (06 August 2014)

Facilities are good but beware that the site has loud 'entertainment' every night between 21.00 and 23.00, even with 2 teenagers this got very wearing
Kath from Newbury (29 July 2014)

Lovely site. Evening entertainment quite loud. Did stop at 11pm fortunately.
Matthew (29 July 2014)

Would have preferred a quieter pitch and a coffee press
Customer 55 from Cardiff (28 July 2014)

The park has a lot of positives - animations every nights were good, the park is in a lovely location near the verdon river, and the on-site supermarket is pretty good. However, 2 massive drawbacks for us - the swimming pools are really not that good, they are far too small for the size of the park and ends up being really hectic and busy and there is no shade or anywhere to sit or lie on apart from hard concrete floor. Secondly, the restaurant is absolutely awful, the worse food I have ever eaten and overpriced. Plus even though we went early july, they had run out of many things. Really bad management. Shame really as if it wasn't for the swimming pool, we would consider going back but with a young child, it was a massive drawback.
Sonia from Rugby (25 July 2014)

Good, but some issues with the park
Rehman from Hayling Island (19 July 2014)

A beautiful location, a lovely walk into castellane. The drive to the gorge was amazing. The camp had big pitches. The only downside was the weather. It rained a lot.
Confirmed Holidaymaker (18 July 2014)

I had a good holiday, but I would put it down to the company I kept more than anything else.
George from Glasgow (08 July 2014)

Everything was perfect.
Karen from Co Derry (07 July 2014)

Would love to come back again and spend more time. . we didnt get to use much of the sight facitliies however from walking around it seemed like a breat place and I would certainly return in the future. . the guide who greated us (tony I think) was really welcoming. . accomodation was very comfortable, clean and all round excellant. . the only slight dissapointment was the shop on site which was limited. . thank you
Matthew from Cambridge (03 July 2014)

Would never stay in tent again would prefer chalet the grround the tent was on awful no grass just mud especially when we had a storm in morning look like building site
Alan from Jersey (30 June 2014)

The overall score is lower than expected mainly due to the hot weather we experienced during our 6 weeks in france. obviously, no one can change the weather. we do however, like to be active and we found that we could not enjoy our usual holiday activities such as walking and cycling.
Mary from Gravesend (28 June 2014)

Great parc, perfectly situated for exploring the area.
Catherine from Milton Keynes (25 June 2014)

Good
Maurice from Runcorn (22 June 2014)

A really good holiday in a beautiful part of france. Would certainly consider returning to this area and this parc. .
Robert from Inverness (21 June 2014)

Rented 3 bed aspect - fabulous, brand new, clean, everything you could need. there was drilling on site for 2 days of the holiday which was a bit disruptive. I believe it has ended now. the weather was wet for a 3 days of our holiday and there is not much to do on site when it rains (but that was just our bad luck). the park was clean and we used the park and the pool most days. It would have been better if the pizza/crepe place was open when we were there but again we knew that before booking. carol and tony the eurocamp reps were lovely. we mainly interacted with carol and I have nothing but nice things to say about her. professional, friendly, helpful!
Tracey from Ni (21 June 2014)

Overall we had a really nice holiday here and enjoyed it very much.
Vivien from Newport (21 June 2014)

Got some waling done but had a few days of awful weather and walking was hampered by a knee injury, hence overall holiday rating. nothing you can do about those complaints
Patricia from Hull (31 May 2014)

The campsite is excellent, with so much to do, great food in the restaurant and lovely staff. Unfortunately, we could not relax and enjoy the holiday as planned due to the noise of drilling into the rockface above the campsite, which meant we could not even hear each other speak when next to each other, let alone consider driftin off by the pool or enjoying mini-golf. So we were forced to leave the camp every day and drive elsewhere, which we had not wanted after such a long drive over from the uk. Our couriers were absolutely excellent, very friendly, welcoming and helpful beyond belief. On our last day, while we were offsite avoiding the noise, there was a freak hailstorm that resulted in our tent and others being crushed. When we returned in the evening, we had been informed by phone already there had been an incident and not to worry, and found they had moved all of our belongings into a mobile home and even made up the beds for our children, knowing they were likely to either be asleep by the time we returned or scared by the changes and so needing a comfortable place to go. They were absolutely amazing and went above and beyond what you could expect. They deserve some special recognition for this. You should also be aware of the ongoing noise at the camp because of the drilling and the fact that not only do they have to live with that day after day, but they then also have to deal with people whose holidays are ruined by this. I think eurocamp is great and we will go again somewhere. We would have considered going again in the summer when we saw your offer for a discount to go again this year, however that only applies outside of the summer holidays when we would have considered it!
Matthew from Chichester (31 May 2014)

Good park. however there was very noisy drilling to stabilise a rock face just opposite the park. the drilling was on all work days from 9am to around 5pm.
Michael (31 May 2014)

Good
John from Nottingham (24 May 2014)

Great park though quite large and would not have llked to have been there when it was fuller as the poo;s would certainly not have been able to accommodate over 900 people ( number of pitches). couriers were helpful , needed the heating in the caravan as it does get really cold in the nights , would be good to warn folks , we always bring sleeping bags and we did need them. Unfortunately we arrived as most .of the facilities , pizzeria, cocktail bar and take away closed down but we have enjoyed ouraelves and it was good.
Hilda from Newport Isle Of Wight (11 September 2013)

What a gorgeous spot - only for people who don't mind some hair raising driving to get there though. this campsite is for the tougher holiday maker who is adventurous and appreciates the beauty the area has to offer - as well of course as those loving adventure sports.
Claire from Surrey (29 August 2013)

Great holiday but camp was more commercial (and therefore noisy) than we expected.
Barry (28 August 2013)

Too busy a parc for us. Noisy at night and our static was too close to the loud band playing every night
Lucy from Bristol (26 August 2013)

Good location. Very remote and tricky to get to though and forget phone reception or wi-fi reception!! amenities good at the campsite. Shower and toilet blocks very clean. Worst aspect was the evening entertainment which was dire and very poorly attended as a result which made the evenings a bit of a damp squib. Highlight was thursday night foam party which went down a storm with all the kids. The location of this campsite though is truly stunning.
Ken (25 August 2013)

Spectacular and beautiful location, excellent and well maintained facilities with very good entertainment programme, especially for teenagers.
Bridget from Milton Keynes (25 August 2013)

Eurocamp caravans right next to reception/stage which had very loud live music or disco and dj blaring until at least 11pm every night and on one occasion until well after midnight. This was followed by an hour of teenagers shouting and singing. It was torture every night. Unable to sleep. Kids all tired. Definitely not a campsite if you want to relax in the evening or for children less than teenage. Pretty awful. Thought we were going to relax in beautiful provence.
Claire from Newcastle (22 August 2013)

Good holiday on a pretty site.
David from Tonbridge (18 August 2013)

This was a great park with good facilities and lovely restaurant. The park was larger than I expected but still peaceful. It was in a good location with an easy walk into the town of castellane along a quiet path. There was a constant stream of traffic passing the park however, as it was on the road to the verdon gorge. Could have done without the entertainment every night but it did stop at 11pm prompt.
Karen from Dunbar (16 August 2013)

A very well established and well maintained campsite in an excellent riverside location at the start of the verdon gorge and within walking distance of the lovely old town of castellane. A stunning part of france with so many sporting activities nearby to suit everyone.
Confirmed Holidaymaker from Shropshire (04 August 2013)

Excellent location and particularly good if you like the mountains. Rafting opportunities in thje gorge were fantastic locally. Swimming pool on the small side at the camp, disappointing. Great bike-hire at the camp and castellane is a safe bike ride away for children. Table tennis great fun also and friendly helpful staff at the camp.
Elizabeth from Manchester (01 August 2013)

Home seemed to be virtually new and very clean. The homes were a little packed in where we were but there were other plots with lots more space however that really was not a problem as 11am curfew was well observed. The camp ran a campfire by the river every night for teenagers which was a great idea. When they open the dam a couple of days a week, take your rubber ring, lilo or boat to the river and go for a float - its a fantastic part of the country and great campsite. Our eurocamp hosts were very friendly and helpful - I would highly recommend this site.
Customer 84 from Chichester (31 Jul 2013)

Thoroughly enjoyable experience for both parents and kids, and would highly recommend a visit to this parc for anyone with children.
Jason from Port Glasgow (22 Jul 2013)

We've been travelling to this campsite for 28 years and love it. We've been using eurocamp since 1998 but this year it felt like we were using keycamp - your subsidiary but a business we'd never look at. Cheerful articulate student couriers have given way to authoritarian older men with their own petty rules - "i ask all my customers to reverse in" (nonsense). . always thought of eurocamp as the thinking person's operator and keycamp as being more of a tabloid mindset. Unfortunately that differentiator has disappeared (we had a similar experience in annecy) and we will probably book direct with sites next year. . . eurocamp has lost something.
Paul from Dinas Powys (20 Jul 2013)

A great parc for families, and for exploring the area of the gorge du verdon. A great location for white water rafting and walking.
Derek from Redruth (18 Jul 2013)

Very good holiday. Campsite was in a very nice area of france. Weather was good.
Kevin from Burton On Trent (05 Jul 2013)

Lovely, extensive campsite. Very relaxing. Good facilities
Ann from Trowbridge (30 Jun 2013)

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, it's many years since we first used this parc and were pleasantly suprised with the improvements. Castellane is a short walk away and there are many sights in the area and lots of trips locally.
Neil from Beverly (30 Jun 2013)

Brilliant. I didn't ever want to leave.
Jacky from Tring (30 Jun 2013)

This is our third holiday with eurocamp at the castellane site. This site has grown dramatically in the past 10 years. while the number of emplacements has grown not all facilities have. The main area that needs attention is the swimming pool area, which is now of inadequate size and also in a dangerous location next to a very busy road on which there are many accidents.
Norman from Donaghadee (28 Jun 2013)

All aspects of the holiday were very good.
Alan from Bury (28 Jun 2013)

Lovely location, excellent value for money. Great weather!
Christopher (27 Jun 2013)

A good friendly site staffed by two brilliant eurocamp couriers - peter and wendy
Lesley from Farnham (26 Jun 2013)

Had a wonderful stay in castellane.
Margaret from Dublin, Ireland (25 Jun 2013)

Great area with superb scenery. Relaxing on our pitch and in the parc. Good holiday
Eric from Cumbria (23 Jun 2013)

This is a really lovely park and a bonus that it is within walking distance of the lovely castellane. We visited out of season (late may) so it was really quiet - but we really loved it here. The whole area really is stunning and we will definitely return.
Tracy from Ellesmere Port (06 Jun 2013)

Our 4th stay at this park.one off our favourite areas of france.
