Always enjoy our stays at castell montgri
Alan from Weaverham (28 September 2015)

Cheap sun holiday fantastic price.. been going to montgri for 12 years and ideal for families with children.. fab beach nearby and l'estartit has still got a small town feel and miles of uncrowded beaches.
Mark from Leeds (22 September 2015)

Our holiday was a self drive and the overall journeys were quite good,we found camp site location etc really good and the staff quite helpfull we enjoyed 3 really good relaxing weeks.our accomadation was spacious [only 2 of us] but a bit basic, only trouble was the parking on road in front of van with people staggered parking it was sometimes difficult to traverse the road .the couriers were helpful and pleasent but seemed tired after a long season. Overall I consider my holiday to have been value for money
Gary from Selby (19 September 2015)

Rather a long way to drive for a holiday.
Rg from Monmouth (18 September 2015)

We have been to this park before, it's got all you need on site, but not good if your disabled due to it being on the side of a mountain. It is very hilly.
Lee (17 September 2015)

Accommodation poor, on arrival note left that everything checked. Found 2 blinds broken. 1 repaired one could not be repaired. Blackout section removed by eurocamp staff. Each night we had to place towels over the bedroom window to reduce light from outside. Bedroom light over the morror not working. Could not be repaired so replaced by a spotlight. This had the wrong bulb fitted and became dangerously hot very quickly. Filled kettle from a water bottle through the spout. Water then poured and kettle lid fell out releasing boiling water over my wrist.the wrong (too small) kettle lid fitted. Bottle rack in the fridge broken. The only way to keep standing bottles was to remove one of the shelves. Bottles not secure and obviously space in fridge reduced. Fan on the oven would not turn off. Whether oven in use or not. To switch off power supply had to be turned off.
Anthony from Dunstable (13 September 2015)

I have been to this area many years, this was the first time I stayed at this resort. Last year the eurocamp representatives were excellent however this time they made no effort to fix any issues with the accomodation or even show us to our caravan. I mostly received short answers but no real cause for concern. I did not feel important to them and more like a hindrance! generally our holiday was great as we are familiar with the area. The value for money was excellent. I would have liked better service like I received at cypsela the previous year. We broke up the journey and stayed at la croix du vieux pont on our way home for 3 nights. The service and eurocamp staff here were exceptional. We arrived late at night but there was still someone waiting for us. I received a reply from my message to say our arrival time and even in the reply was a warm response and a reassurance that this was not a problem and that they would be waiting. We were greeted at 10pm and shown to our caravan. He even gave us a rough idea of the facilities and to contact him if we needed anything through the night. We had to change caravan due to a boiler breaking down but were informed before we arrived. I was amazed at the level of service and detail these guys put into their job but disappointed even more that we did not get this in 1 of the 10 days we were in spain. I know this is not the standard that eurocamp pride themselves on but this 1 park was disappointing after a 24 hour drive we were not made to feel welcome or arrive in a clean caravan with working facilities!
Rebecca from Doncaster (13 September 2015)

Very good , very organised, everything you want is supplied on site .
J. from Canvey Island (12 September 2015)

Fab holiday loved the camp the accommodation was a bit tired but we had the dog so we knew we would perhaps get the rougher caravan. There was a bit of a problem with ants but that is not eurocamps fault. We felt safe and the camp caters for every need. Great for children and the half hourly bus to resort is great
Wendy (09 September 2015)

I travelled with an 11 year & 3 month old and found the parc lovely. It is abit hilly, which was expected but feel that families with young babies should be as close as possible to amenities. The bus to the beach was handy and we enjoyed our time in the town. I feel this has less children's activities compared to other parcs I have been to but thoroughly enjoyed the evening entertainment. I would come back again maybe at the beginning of the season instead of the end.
Leann from London (06 September 2015)

Park was very good but accommodation was tired and dirty, short walk to town and beach.
Laura from Bristol (05 September 2015)

Excellent park for families. Amazing and friendly staff. Accommodation is comfortable. Children loved it, adults loved it. Looking to book again :-)
Susan from Skelmersdale (05 September 2015)

The site was huge and full of british people. We did not like the fact that we were in a caravan sited along a road surrounded by british people. Pools were fab, however having to pay for sunbeds was totally unacceptable.
Confirmed Holidaymaker (05 September 2015)

Fantastic time we all enjoyed our stay.
Stephen from West Bromwich (05 September 2015)

Great place x great time x deffo go back x accommodation a bit basic but had everything we needed x
Heidi from Leeds (05 September 2015)

We had a great holiday at this parc. The accommodation was clean and modern. The parc is very hilly but the facilities are great. The kids loved the pools and water slides. The supermarket is well stocked and the town is a pleasant stroll away.
Claire from Christchurch (02 September 2015)

We found the campsite to be very clean and had lovely pools. All staff of the campsite were very friendly and helpful although we felt very let down with the eurocamp couriers this year as they seemed to lack knowledge and few of them put themselves out to find out the information. This site is very hilly, so please be aware if you have very small children. We were aware of this so it was not a problem for us. The activities run by the campsite staff and fun station were brilliant and our children aged 7 and 9 had a wonderful holiday and cannot wait to return. The staff who ran these activities were very good.will definitely return soon.
Cc from Essex (02 September 2015)

We were a very mixed age group, 18 in total ranging from the ages of 2 to 70. Everyone had a lovely time spent mainly around the pool.
Karen (02 September 2015)

Dreadful couriers, dirty accommodation.
Mj from Shoreham-By-Sea (02 September 2015)

Great place for family some staff was rude and not help full but the rest of the staff was very friendly
Yvonne from Dorset (02 September 2015)

The campsite is fantastic, everything my family needed. Well stocked supermarket, good restaurant and bars. Very clean. Good range of activities. Eurocamp rubbish cannot handle any problems, very unsympathetic and extremely unhelpful. Will not use them again. Will go again to the campsite but will use a different company.
Justine from Dronfield (02 September 2015)

A great holiday destination for families
Lisa from Coventry (31 August 2015)

Great holiday although the accommodation looked tired
Nickolas from Dorchester (31 August 2015)

Not blown away by the campsite but not disappointed either. The location was good, l'estartit was really nice, the beach was particularly good and there was plenty to do in the surrounding area. The caravans were clean and comfortable and we had an enjoyable holiday.
Hadleigh from Tamworth (30 August 2015)

Parc shops and restaurants were disproportionately expensive (supermarket on site charging €20 for a the same bottle of suntan lotion available at a supermarket off-site 3 minutes up the road for €5, for example). pools were kept very clean, entertainers were happy and very cheerful. Accommodation was nicely spaced apart and we never felt cramped. Pools can become crowded quickly meaning nowhere to lay a towel let alone find a sun-bed, so arrive early. Site toilets were also kept clean. We plan to return next year!
Steve from Cirencester (29 August 2015)

If it was not for the caravan they would have all been 10
Kevin (22 August 2015)

Great campsite, lots to do for kids and hot weather.
Confirmed Holidaymaker (22 August 2015)

Loved the campsite, amazing pools
Ros (22 August 2015)

This was our third visit to castel montgri, our last visit was over 7 years ago. The accommodation was great, all the family enjoyed it. The park had not had anything done since we last left which I was surprised about, nothing had changed. The entertainment during the day was fantastic for the kids, the evening was okay, could be better in my opinion. Food prices were okay as well, but the food in the take aways was typical fast food, not many options for healthy stuff. . . would definitely go back as its just so relaxing and we always enjoy our time there.
Bary from Middlesbrough (21 August 2015)

Castell montgri is very lively and perfect for families. teenagers are entertained all day long with numerous activities. Adults can also enjoy many activities or take time away from the parc at the beach or town only a short distance away. Evening entertainment is excellent with several bar areas and an open air cinema. in particular the bar bassa in the forest is so pretty and has live music every evening.
Helen from Wolverhampton (19 August 2015)

Good active site, bit hilly , nice resort , accommodation dated
Rachael (19 August 2015)

Think that the accommodation is getting dated and is not as clean as it could be. . some issues here and there but overall it's good. . the parc needs more waiters too even with only a few people it seemed to be slow. . food on site was great everyone is friendly. . supermarket is fairly priced and not too expensive. . in the future I think another pool is needed as there are only 3 pools on site and they get busy. That's my thoughts. . great holiday and will go back.
Nick (19 August 2015)

We had a fantastic holiday on this site, we couldn't believe how much there is to do and the pools are brilliant too.we liked la bassa ( mountain pool . this is by far the best entertainment program that we have had at any campsite and there was always something for the children to do with the animation teams. Our children are 13, 10 and 4.the pony rides and farm are lovely and jocs park was also great. The staff were nice the food was good and the supermarket is huge and not too expensive although you also have a lidl not far from the site. The free bus to estartit beach was good and very regular. We have been home for 3 days and have already booked to go back next year this time with my parents my sister and niece we enjoyed it that much !!!
Cassie from Coventry (19 August 2015)

Too many people crammed into too small a place for my liking.
Jemima from France (18 August 2015)

A great holiday revisiting a fantastic park which I previously visited nearly 30 years ago as a child! great facilities on site. Very clean and well looked after. . felt the slides pool should be a little bigger to accommodate the crowds. Was very popular. . the site is extremely big, busy and hilly and not for the faint hearted! . I also think it's luck of the draw where your pitch is and some of them are quite small or awkward to get to from the parking area etc. We were actually extremely lucky and had a great plot. . we are regular eurocampers and had a great time but on this occasion unfortunately the caravan quality was poor, issues that weren't dealt with properly and the couriers weren't quite as professional and helpful as they should have been. . that said it would not deter us from visiting again and also using eurocamp.
Karen (15 August 2015)

Fab park it's a shame it's so hilly I struggled with my asthma but loved every minute we had so much to do that the kids didn't go to the kids club we've already provisionally booked for next year kids had an amazing holiday
Kevin from Woking (15 August 2015)

Lovely parc, spoilt only by gangs of unsupervised teenagers roaming around. Witnessed a couple of fights. Swimming pools dangerously full, with lifeguards taking no notice of all the pool rules being broken. caravan riddled with ants, so much that daughter had to sleep on sofa as bed full of them! euro camp reps response was everyone has them! very helpful! parc is very clean and well kept, and would be gorgeous in low season.
Theresa from Norfolk (13 August 2015)

We thoroughly enjoyed castell montrgi. The site was in a perfect location, and had excellent facilities and entertainment. We really appreciated the free bus running to and from l' estartit during the day, as well as all the activities and entertainment. Campsite staff were polite and welcoming. And the sun shone..
Sarah from Manchester (11 August 2015)

Our second visit to castell montgri and not disappointed. The parc was just as I remembered from 2 years ago - clean, beautiful views, very friendly staff and loads for kids to do. Late night noise just a tiny hindrance.
Mandy from Shipley (11 August 2015)

Overall very good holiday with good vfm, etc
Terry from Maidstone (10 August 2015)

We had a brilliant time. The parc is so big there's so much to do. I loved our accommodation, the decking area was really nice just to sit and chill. Loved it that we had a bbq.
Tracy from Rochester, Kent (10 August 2015)

Campsite was good but my accommodation was rubbish as it was dirty & smelly.
Tim from Canterbury (09 August 2015)

Great parc, lovely area, very clean, lovely staff, pools busy but plenty of beds (charge), large parc, plenty of restaurants a15 min walk away, takeaway in parc reasonable and quick service. very hilly, not good for kids bikes or elderly.
Jeanette from London (09 August 2015)

Wonderful holiday-much cheaper than france!!
Karen from Hounslow (09 August 2015)

Have been to the parc several times, the first way back in 1989 with my 8yr old son, this time it was the grandchildren. The standard of the parc is very high. A few changes since last there, but they are for the better, the best being that they can use the big pool till midnight instead of 8 or 9 as it used to be. The kids loved it.
Sandra from Dundee (08 August 2015)

I think we 'luckily' stumbled upon one of the best pitches in the park being at the far end away from the noise, lights & not squeezed in between 1000 other holiday makers..for that reason it was great for us. Knowing the parc as we now do - would we rebook & risk not getting the same pitch..probably not.
Esther from Burntwood (08 August 2015)

Good site. Didn't get a visit from the eurocamp couriers until the last night wishing us a good journey, but mainly to remind us to be out of the accommodation by 10. We found our own accommodation on arrival as they were busy. Nobody came to check we were ok.
Nick (08 August 2015)

Never seen the reps until leaving
Lillias from Glasgow (08 August 2015)

Second time on this parc. The late opening pools really add to the atmosphere. We liked the awnings on our mobile home which mean we could be shaded whenever we wanted.
Simon from London (07 August 2015)

Camp is stunning just as I remember but I am disappointed no reps came n welcomed us or saw us through the week we was there until the day before departure customer service was disappointing when we saw all other reps coming to see their customers
Carly from Lincoln (21 July 2015)

We had a fantastic holiday pools were great kids clubs great and the food entertainment was fantastic. Kids loved the kids clubs they only went to a couple as they lived the pool but the few they attended they loved. The caravan was clean I would request a 3 bed maybe next time due to lack of space. The supermarket we thought was very good value and not expensive. Would definitely book again.
Customer 51 from Costa Brava (16 July 2015)

Very well run camp, good activities and nice great pools. Not suitable for people with mobility problems. we had to rent a mobility scooter for granny as she struggled with the hills
Neill (16 July 2015)

Could not fault the campsite at all, excellent facilities for all ages 0-70! pools were immaculate and entertainment was great fun. Have already booked to go back next year. . eurocamp reps were fine with me however I did witness a few incidents with other customers where they they acted very indifferent and didnt really care, this was the only downfall of the campsite
Collette from Belfast (15 July 2015)

We have been to this park before and really like it. The accommodation was ok but the crockery and utensils were dirty. The crockery was brown stained and there was egg in one cup knifes and forks not clean. I had to get stuck in and clean the place which was very disapointing
Patrick from Newry Co Down (08 July 2015)

The holiday park is lovely but I think it should be mentioned that its not for people who find it difficult to walk because of all the hills and steps
Andrew from Skegness (05 July 2015)

Very good, everything that we hoped for. We have been traveling to. Casrell montgri on and off for twenty or more years and this year was one of the best.
Jossette from Saffron Walden (30 June 2015)

Second visit to this site specifically to dive in the immediate area. A very good site for this purpose. Overall we like the site but its not one i'd recommend for anyone with mobility issues. Sons had a great time and found plenty to do.
Gary from Hailsham (30 June 2015)

Great campsite, although hills are tough on the legs! beautiful pool, great entertainment at night.
Customer 58 from Northern Ireland (27 June 2015)

It was very good
Jacqueline from London (25 June 2015)

Everything is on this site for a family holiday one thing could improve is wifi signal
Colin from Belfast (22 June 2015)

Had a great tiem
Customer 61 (21 June 2015)

The accommodation was nothing like is shown on the website. Plastic coated seating area and throws on the beds that are more like dog blankets. It was very dusty, the bed was more like a camp bed with a very thin matteress. I have taken photos and intend to forward them to eurocamp. For the price we paid we were very disappointed. We have used other camping companies before and they are far better than eurocamp.
Brenda from Sunderland (13 June 2015)

Castell montgri has improved since we last went there. The food in the takeaway outlets was better, as was the service in the supermarket. It's a bit of a gamble in terms of weather for a sping half term break, but our four days there were all sunny, with a strong wind for the first day then much calmer afterwards. The two main pools were up and running and were warm enough once you got used to them. Overall, we had a great time.
Kevin from Nottingham (31 May 2015)

Loads to do swimming pools lovely, abit to much hills to walk up but I needed the excise
Dawn from Birmingham (22 May 2015)

The parc is a fab place just wish they had been more efficiant with tidying up around the mobile homes we have been holidaying here for years and hope to bring the grandchildren back in the summer would recommend it to every one
Jayne from Bristol (17 May 2015)

Perfect short trip site had just opened very clean and cared for
Richard from London (16 May 2015)

The resort is superb and the location amazing we had been here before so was a return. However the location of the accommodation we was given was the problem we were near to the disco and the constant deep boom was going until 330 in the morning!!! we went last two weeks of the season and that was also very obvious
Jackie from Wigan (27 September 2014)

Staying in mid september our stay was very good value for money. The site was very attractive and although one of the pools was closed there were still plenty of facilities. We did find the evening entertainment far too loud for the amount of people on the site at that time of year, the noise would travel across the site so would go out each evening rather than sit on our terrace. Estatit is an easy walk. All in all, we had an enjoyable holiday and would happily return.
Jacqueline from France (24 September 2014)

Estartit is a loverly place to stay castel montgrie is a fab site rverything you want in one place tried other sites but always go back entertainment on till middle of september were other sites they end august couriers 1st class everytime we go
Nicholas from Taunton (23 September 2014)

Nice park, good for familys, not so good for mature people.
David from Bridgend (22 September 2014)

Had a great holiday and the eurocamp reps where brilliant. I will be back again next year.
John from Hatfield (14 September 2014)

Wonderful holiday the reps were brilliant so helpful well done eurocamp
Customer 72 from Southampton (12 September 2014)

Nice clean parc. Good value for money. eurocamp reps were very helpful.
Marcus from Bedford (09 September 2014)

It was a lovely holiday, great for kids and fab entertainment. For the price I don't think there's much room for complaints. Everyone was friendly and there was entertainment on all the time.
Aimi from Bedford (08 September 2014)

Great park, lots do on it and nearby. a little noisy if you're too close to the entertainment but overall it was a great week.
Mike from Derby (07 September 2014)

Had to wait for a week for a light bulb to be changed that only happened when I went and reported it for a second time. It would have been nice if the couriers had passed a time of day greeting when they walked passed your accommodation if you where sitting out on the veranda instead of walking pass head down, but apart from that a good holiday and would go back again
Michael from Chapel Saint Leonards (06 September 2014)

Camp was lovely & spotless. Camp & euro camp couriers were bit lacklustre at times - especially the fun station reps. The holiday was at the end of the season so I appreciate they were tired but I didn't feel they were giving 100% at all. . also thought the campsite restaurant was atrocious - food was dreadful & very overpriced. Contrary to this, the take away cafés provided way better food for a fraction of the cost.
David (06 September 2014)

The park is lovely and very lively. Lots to do swimming amazing. There are lots of hills and not to good if you are non walker however it is surrounded by beautiful grounds. downside is you can't buy bottles of wine or cava you have to have glasses...but that is a very small personal complaint. Lovely place to visit.
Lesley (06 September 2014)

T is important that we acknowledge and commend the work undertaken by staff at the funstation namely kim, amy, ilse and sophie - our kids had a great time with them - their approach and work with kids was outstanding which encouraged our kids to attend every session they could and mum and dad managed to get a break - this was especially importat to us as our oldest child has autism and the staff at the club managed to engage him in every activity with ease - well done girls and thank you
Rob from Derby (03 September 2014)

The arc was probably more suited to children older than our 3&5 year olds. Lots to do, but quite noisy at night and the pitches were lacking any open space.
Karen (01 September 2014)

This is a large, secure and well-run camp with plenty for all ages. .
Confirmed Holidaymaker (31 August 2014)

Overall the holiday was superb. The camp was very large but this also meant it was very busy. The park is in a beautiful location, fantastic pools, not too far from the main town and main beach and lots of activities for the kids. The only things that let the side down where the ants, that unfortunately kept getting into the caravan and the flights home with ryanair which we had booked via eurocamp. I would also advise travellers never to book flights via a 3rd party again especially ryanair. We ended up paying some considerable penalties due to the lack of information provided by eurocamp and of course as not booked directly had no information from ryanair.
Adam from Studley (30 August 2014)

Accomodation needs some updating. Holiday great buy very little communication from eurocamp especially when we moved mobile home during the holiday
Fiona from Orpington (29 August 2014)

Accommodation was a bit old needed renewing
Debbie (29 August 2014)

Holiday site excellent, certain company in our party not. Will def visit again without that person!
Dawn from Long Eaton Nottingham (28 August 2014)

This was our second stay at this campsite so we knew what to expect. It's a clean and tidy site with plenty to do to suit everyone, and lots of interesting places to visit in the area. The eurocamp couriers were lovely. Helpful when needed but not intrusive.
Elizabeth (28 August 2014)

We loved the parc and enjoyed the holiday. the only problem was my son had bunk beds and they were too small for him. he is 12 but very tall and whilst wanted to be on the top bunk found it very uncomfortable. . also it is difficult to get around without a car but for someone like me who spend their life in a car, the last thing I wanted to do was drive on holiday. . I think the free bus should also go to torrello, pal as well as estartit even if you charge. it woudl also be good if you had information about the train at pal or it was clearer where you could find this out from.
Jennifer from Nottingham. (27 August 2014)

Clearly you have purchased some old keycamp homes and they are shockingly poor compared to eurocamp homes we have stayed at in the past. Location was also rather bad..near park entrance so noise was an issue from 2am until 5am as teens returned from town and little done by the park to keep the noise down
James from Shepton Mallet (26 August 2014)

We absolutely loved it it was fantastic I would recommend it to anyone
Emma from Warrington (26 August 2014)

This is a very large and lively parc. It was our second visit and we returned because our children aged 15 and 17 had a wonderful time on their first visit. They enjoyed themselves just as much this year and found having base especialy useful to make friends their own age. The parc can be very noisy and crowded particularly around the panorama pool and if you are on a pitch close to the action expect to hear noise. The parc can have a relaxed atmosphere and la bassa bar is much more adult friendly. We never felt concerned about safety. The supermarket is large and well stocked if abit expensive, as are the bars. We never ate in the parc as it was easy to walk to town where there is a great selection of restaurants. In fact the closeness of the town and being able to stroll in was a great plus. The area has lots to do and we were never bored, nor were the teenagers. If you want quiet, relaxing and uncrowded I would suggest you look for another site. As we left, however, both teens asked to come back next year!!
Elaine from Salisbury (26 August 2014)

The pitches were very small and our cabin was quite tired. the pool and facilities of montgris were really great and the lifeguards were really helpful. the early evening entertainment for the kids was great. we hardly saw the eurocamp reps, which was fine really but when we did ask, their local knowledge wasn't really up to much - and the files in the basecamp were printed out, looked like the printer ink had been running out so all the important titles of where to go etc were missing. the problem really was the evening entertainment..the sheer noise of it all until 11.45 at night. Every night. one evening we were sandwiched between purple rain and riverdance blaring out from two different points across the campsite. because the cabins are in a sort of amphitheatre arrangement the noise was dreadful. kids didn't really notice once they were asleep but as an adult I would not book or recommend this camp. it's the first time i've ever not been able to do so.
Cl from Winchester (24 August 2014)

This parc has the potential to be good, but for me it was ruined by the noisy disco until 4am right by our accomodation. It is impossible to enjoy things with 4 hours sleep a night. The couriers did not show much sympathy to my situation. We also had our car vandalised when it was left outside the park overnight, having arrived after the midnight curfew. There was no warning that cars have been vandalised, even though we found out this was not uncommon outside the park. These type of things are so important that they set the tone for the whole holiday. On the plus side, it is a beautiful setting.
Ann from London (23 August 2014)

We travelled as a group of 6, 2 adults and 4 teenagers, the park offered something for all and the euro camp team were attentive and helpful with out been obtrusive, I would highly recommend this holiday for families with older children
Karen from Cheshire (20 August 2014)

An excellent park, with all facilities you will need on site. if you don't want to leave the site, you really don't have to, although the local town and beach are absolutely worth the 20 minute walk or short bus ride. the camp is on the side of a mountain so be prepared for a few steep walks, but it shouldn't be a problem for anyone with a normal level of fitness. the pools are excellent and the relaxed atmosphere made for a great week.
Vikki (17 August 2014)

Great location of mobile home, panorama pool excellent facility and eurocamp staff fantastic helpful and positive. With two teenagers who thoroughly enjoyed the campsite and felt very safe around the place.
Simon from Wigan (16 August 2014)

Great family holiday. Been before and never disappoints
Barry from London (15 August 2014)

Good site, ageing accommodation - great for kids and teens
John from Blackpool (14 August 2014)

1st holiday in 11 years!! we had a great holiday & will be booking shortly to go back.
Marie from Charletown/Co Mayo (12 August 2014)

Superb relaxing holiday for the whole family. Plenty to do and time to chill in a beautiful environment where everyone could do there own thing .. yet spend some well earned time together!
Lesley from Cumbria (09 August 2014)

This parc was a beautiful park however everything else associated with our holday was dismal. Firstly, due to us arriving at the park at 10.30pm, there was no courier to meet us and as our mobile home was situated up hill at the back of the park with 8 suitcases in tow we requested a courier to help us. On his arrival, it was evident by his stand off-ish and attitude that he was unwilling to help us but reluctantly did so and we subsequently saw a courier once during the whole holiday. . the moment we arrived, it was evident that 90% of the holiday makers were from the netherlands and the park catered for the same for example it arranged hollands best dj. On the first visit to the swimming pool a group of dutch boys grabbed my 24 yr old daughter and tried to throw her in! during our whole 9 days stay, there were badly behaved, drunken gangs hanging around the whole park and shouted obscenities as we passed which resulted in my family not venturing out in the evening. On one occasion I remember a french father litteraly screaming at a gang of dutch teenagers. Due to them intimidating his whole family! it was shocking to see!. having had many holidays over the years with keycamp who have currently merged with eurocamp, for the first time our mobile home was very run down, poorly cleaned and litteraly over run with ants. The courier stated that he was not able to help us with the problem. Very, very dissapointed, however it has to be said that the actually site was very well kept.
Barbara from Wales (09 August 2014)

Too many teens given too much freedom, large music systems being used by pool, very pretty place and wonderful weather. On site shop, over charged many times which resulted in us asking for a receipt and checking it each time. Good pool facilities with good choice and change of scenery, fantastic that children could swim till late, this was a real treat.
Shaun from Beckenham (08 August 2014)

Excellent parc with loads to do for the kids, eurocamp staff very helpful but not intrusive, this is our second time here and would go again. Only bad point was we "lost" quite a few things - goggles etc so keep an eye on your kid's stuff at the poolside.
Sandra (07 August 2014)

There are great areas and towns short drives from the campsite and it's lovely to be able to walk to the local town/port. The campsite is very big and is great for teenagers. Guest seemed to be mainly dutch.
Neil from Chelmsford (02 August 2014)

A wonderful holiday on a fantastic site which was kept immaculate. The site staff were friendly and helpful. Security was good so that you always felt safe. The pools were superb and the quality of food in the restaurant, bars and takeaways was good. To top it all the town's of toroella de montgri and l'estartit were lovely.
Simon from Tamworth (31 July 2014)

Had a fantastic time, the children are already asking to goo back.
Rebecca (29 July 2014)

We was very dissapointed with the accommodation, the caravan was not clean, only saw the rep twice , we have been going to estatit for over 18 yes in total with different company . and I am sorry to say this was the only time we wasn't fully happy with the cleanliness of accommodation.
Tracey from Halifax (28 July 2014)

The facilities at the parc were great, however I would have liked to have been informed that our accommodation would be sited close to the evening entertainment and we were kept awake every night by raucous behaviour. There were notices asking for quiet between midnight and 8am however this was not enforced and there were large groups of youths shouting outside our accommodation every night.
Robina from Milton Keynes (24 July 2014)

The holiday accommodation was not as booked and was far too small for a family of 7 especially as we were staying on the site for 12 days and as a larger caravan had been requested and agreed to by the eurocamp booking service. This was really disappointing and had a negative impact on the holiday, so much so that we are contemplating not booking with eurocamp again. There was not enough seating for 7. The extra seating arrived after 3 days after our arrival. There was only 1 dining chair inside the caravan which made it very difficult staying inside the caravan during periods of rain. All in all not one of the best holidays which has left all who took part very disappointed with the stay. .
Ceri from Neath (22 July 2014)

A very well constructed site on many levels! shop was handy but expensive. It was advertised as a beach site but you do have to catch a bus to the beach. pets are not allowed on bus, beach or restaurant.
Juliet from Ecurey, France (22 July 2014)

We had a lovely holiday in castle montgri, I have given 8/10 for the caravan as the bathroom doors didnt lock and had not been fixed since I stayed in the same caravan last year, I do also feel a lock on the double bedroom door would be a useful, I have given staff 8/10 because one of the couriers failed to pass a urgent message to us after assuring the taxi driver that they would, that left us sitting waiting on departure day for 3hours with a large extended family, our time could have been less stressful and better spent if the courier had past the message on or told the taxi company that they would not pass on the message. A bit of varnish would brighten up the decking area. We had been assured of a clean caravan but the floors looked not even swept, when we arrived the courier looked embarrassed at the floors. We do hope to return next year and would like the choice of two toilets.
Confirmed Holidaymaker (21 July 2014)

All in a very nice holiday apart from having our car broken into when left at the beach
Antony (20 July 2014)

Overall we had a great holiday with the family at a well established camp site.
Stuart from Auckland (15 July 2014)

Secure campsite with very comprehensive check-in procedures. The chalet was in a lovely sunny situation, ideal for a late september break. There were a few items missing, ie hairdryer had been ripped from the bedroom wall bracket and there were only two wine glasses instead of eight. We contacted two keycamp staff before this was addressed, but this wasn't a big deal. We found the seating upholstery to be quite grubby, but as this was end of season we did expect this to a degree. Overall the chalet and decking area was nice enough and we would return here. I think when you have a pet with you, you need a nice open area as you need to spend more time sitting out there. Obviously you can't use most of the areas and facilities on offer because dogs are not allowed, so a nice decking area is essential. A gate would have been nice on the decking so that our dog didn't have to be watched all the time, as there were quite a few stray cats around the chalet areas for him to want to chase.
Maureen from Dover (28 September 2013)

We had a lovely holiday due to fantastic weather and the position on the parc of the accommodation was excellent.
Terence from Yeovil (28 September 2013)

Lucky with the weather so lots of outdoor dining. . visited pals, barcelona and figueres and "walked" to castel montgri.
Susan from Leicester (28 September 2013)

Very good experience everything went well no problems
Anne from Basildon (26 September 2013)

The rep on arrival said they had let my accommodation out to someone else for 2 nights!! we arrived after midnight even though I had previously advised keycamp of this and they had my mobile number. We had terrible filthy accommodation that first night and I refused to stay there for the 2nd night like they asked. The rep did not check on us at any point throughout our stay and we had 2 caravans for 10 of us. Loads broken and not enough crockery like it stated in inventory book. Unacceptable from keycamp but the park itself was wonderful.
Vanessa from Cardiff (24 September 2013)

Overall a very relaxing holiday. Reps good accomodation a bit tired but overall adequate. Camp exelent but we were dissapointed that labassa part of camp closed. Web site and brochure do not mention this and I feel that they should
Paul from Warrington (22 September 2013)

Great park in a lovely setting in the mountains. great pool, really refreshing. food good on park. keycamp staff friendly and helpful. 10 minute walk into estartit town. would definitely come again & recommend to friends and family. top marks.
Katharine from London (21 September 2013)

Castell montgri is a nice parc but don't really think it is for middle aged couples it is more for children and teenagers keycamps mobile spotless and excellent couriers fantastic anything you needed they were able to help they had a good knowledge of the area the reason I gave these scores is that I was recovering from surgery for a broken leg and as our mobile was in blue zone I couldn't get up and down the big hill on my crutches so had to use car every day not keycamps fault as at time of booking I was fit it was good value for money you pay much more to holiday in england the parc is very big so with having a walking problem was unable to tackle the hilly park have rebooked with keycamp for next year at a different parc anyone who has any issues with mobility should heed the warning in keycamp brochure our holiday was paid for before my surgery and time was tight to change it to somewhere else still had a nice holiday shame weather was not to good
Linda from Walsall (20 September 2013)

Good, however wasn't aware that quite a lot of the facilities would be closed when we go there on the 16th september. Good for kids. My biggest issue was our neighbors, they stayed up very late making noise on their veranda (until 4 on night) obviously ignoring the quiet by 12 rule but there was no one around to enforce the rule and no phones to call anyone about it.
Naomi (20 September 2013)

Prior to our visit and on arrival the staff and information provided were of a good standard. our holiday was let down by cleanliness and poor standard of accommodation with broken and inoperative equipment with safety devices such as the fire extinguisher not maintained.
Stephen from Skegness Lincolnshire (19 September 2013)

The parc itself was lovely with lots of space and lots to do. It was in a nice location and very close to l'estartit which is a beautiful place. Wasn't impressed with keycamp at all really. The caravan was really clean but that's about as impressed as I got. We normally travel with canvas holidays and have found their couriers much more friendly and helpful. We weren't met at reception. We had to go and find the keycamp reception ourselves. We were shown straight to our caravan which was good after a long journey but that's the last we ever saw/heard from them. No one asked us if we had settled in ok or if there was anything we needed. I spoke to one of the eurocamp couriers at the end of our holiday about leaving our food in the caravan for them to share out. She was friendly enough about it and thanked us for leaving them food but never asked us how our stay was and if everything was ok with the accommodation/park etc. There was just no interest there. I know its the end of the season when we went but we are still paying as much money as those who go at the beginning of the season who probably get much more enthusiatic staff. There was never anyone in the keycamp reception caravan when we went there but there was a pad to write messages. I wrote a message on there one day for someone to swap our bed guard as it didn't fit and to take the travel cot away. No one came that day so that was another night with my 2 year old in a bed with no side. We then went down to them the next day and asked them in person to do this. They said they would be round to do it later and again no one came. Another night of a 2 year old falling out of bed!! so I went down for a third time and wrote another message on the pad and the message must have finally got through and received another guard (which still didn't fit but we made do) . staff just needed to be a bit more on hand and friendly like the canvas staff are who go right out of their way to help and be friendly to you. I don't think we will be using keycamp again in the future. Nice park though, no issues with that!!
Lia from Leicester (18 September 2013)

We had a nice time but there was no eletric kettle and our gas ran out 3 times he went down to there hq it was about 4 hours to get more gas
Carole from Estartit (18 September 2013)

Good value for money, nice and clean park. However, if you do go at the end of the season some of the facilities are closed. Such as the free bus to the beach, so unless you have transport or bike, you will have to do a lot of walking.
Lorna from Long Melford, Sudbury (17 September 2013)

Great park, accommodation and facilities. Location was also good for exploring the surrounding area. Shame about the poor attitude to customer service from the couriers!
Tony from Sleaford, Lincolnshire (16 September 2013)

Castell mongri fantastic site, clean ,well maintained friendly staff great food .only complaint challet looked a bit tired
Gary from Monmouthshire (16 September 2013)

Our holiday was ruined, and we left the parc early because of the violence late at night/morning, noise, shouting, throwing of sunbeds etc. It was truly frightening!
Darren from Cornwall (14 September 2013)

Camp very clean, lovely hilltop pool, good supermarket best i've used on any camp in 10 years. Small problem with couriers with communication, you tell one a problem but it doesn't get passed on. This happened on 3 seperate occassions on 3 different issues. Otherwise holiday was great and would recommend.
Brian from Dawlish (14 September 2013)

Great week but caravan was old and tired
Brian from Liverpool (13 September 2013)

Did not see or hear from one keycamp personel, even when we went searching for them. Holiday parc was clean and parc staff very friendly.
Cheryl from Rockferry (12 September 2013)

First class site shame with the problems with mobile home.
Csaba from Gwent (11 September 2013)

Excellent park, would consider returning and would recommend to family and friends.
Amanda from Fermanagh (08 September 2013)

The parc is brilliant. We couldn't get our children aged 6 and 5 out of the pools. The fun station - roy, issy, sam and max were amazing and the children loved them and enjoyed the time they spent there. The energy they had and the relationships they built with our kids was lovely. The evening entertainment was good, the men who did the mini disco's had so much energy and were great, however, the really good shows that the children would of loved to of seen were on at 10.00pm. I let them stay up to watch the spanish dancing but they were so tired they didnt enjoy it, so one thing I would say is that it would be good if they could offer more entertainment for children at 9 o'clock as they always missed out on things that were different or that they may not have experienced before. . we booked our accommodation last minute and when we drove to our caravan we realised we were offered one of the oldest ones on-site. We asked to move on various occasions as it was far to old and dilapidated to be used. This did tarnish the holiday unfortunately, so it has put us off booking last minute if this is the accommodation you are offered. The location of the parc is brilliant - there is so much to do and if you have a car there are some amazing beaches and towns you can visit.
Richard from Brighton (08 September 2013)

Kids club were fab and my kids enjoyed themselves.
Lyndsey (05 September 2013)

Park was great. Lovely grounds and less noisy than expected. We were there towards the end of the season.
Fiona from Bristol (04 September 2013)

Parc was great for kids. Good pools, although the water was freezing! good facilities, free bus to beach a bonus. Evening entertainment was a bit odd, and sometimes delayed but we didnt really mind. A few nice shows would have made it slightly better though. Would recommend to other families.
Confirmed Holidaymaker from Oxford (02 September 2013)

Pretty good throughout - good facilities on the whole. kids enjoyed it a lot.
Elaine from Barcelona (01 September 2013)

Camp site is huge with a lot of facilities. Camp restaurant is basic but ok. One problem we had was our accommodation was on the main road through the site and therefore very noisy!. . the kids will enjoy the rides at jocs, a 5 minute walk away - though be very careful crossing the very busy road. Don't bother eating at jocs, food is terrible!
Steve from Hale (31 August 2013)

Fantastic holiday, our 3rd year at this park & it is by far the best place we have ever been to :)
Corinne from Lincoln (31 August 2013)

First night there we had ants in the fridge we told one of the keycamp staff who did nothing about it the acclimation was not clean and we had paid for sheets and welcome pack which the staff did not know so we got sheets and towels at around 11 at night after driving all day my kids was crying didn't want to go in the home because of the ants while we was there we saw a keycamp staff once when we was leaving until then we had to deal with it on our own we have been with keycamp for 4 yrs now and have always been very happy but the staff there this time was not very good . the park it self was really great loved every day of it but spent far to much money on trying to get rid of the ants
Debbie (30 August 2013)

Pool complexes are good, don't think they should charge 4eu per sun bed. have been to park before and think it was not quite as clen, not sure if this is just due to the fact it was full. food on park is poor - jocs food is appalling and expensive. kids keycamp club was excellent last time however this time not enough activities just the same ball games over and over. daughter in the end was not bothered about going. evening entertainment variable, too much of a gap between shows, just gives the impression they are trying to keep you at the bar and keep you spending money whilst they keep you hanging around an empty stages, kids just get fed up waiting. caravan should have had leather seats, easier to keep clean as our had some 'odd' stains.
Claire from Durham (30 August 2013)

Relaxed / chilled out just what we wanted.
Geoff from Cambridge (25 August 2013)

Lovely holiday but expensive accommodation
Adam (23 August 2013)

We had a great time .the parc has everything you could want for.it's a parc you could just drive to .then just park your car up for the stay . then just chill a take in the wonderful place.
Stephen from Braintree (21 August 2013)

.great holiday for site seeing, walking and visiting the beaches. It is a beautiful interesting area.
Joanne from Leicester (19 August 2013)

Great parc with excellent activities being carried out from morning til dark!
Customer 147 (19 August 2013)

Great holiday with lots to do ..
Jonathan (19 August 2013)

Great holiday in a lovely (but expensive) campsite. Spent most of our time in the harbour in l'estartit where there is excellent swimming, rockpooling a snorkeling. . . nice places to eat in the harbour. Used the lidl across the road for food as on site supermarket good but very expensive. . . all extra activities on site eg bike hire, tennis, golf etc all too expensive
Dave from Waterloo (19 August 2013)

It was a great campsite for families with teenagers. our 14 & 16 year old boys loved the base club which allowed them to get to know other teenagers.
Ann Marie from London (19 August 2013)
