Beautiful and spotless campsite where the owners take great pride in every area. Gorgeous beach nearby and beautiful places like apremont to visit. Kate from Lichfield (04 September 2015)
Courier very welcoming and friendly. Customer 2 (30 August 2015)
Great location and the parc is excellent. well run and very clean, the toliet blocks are immaculate and bread etc can be ordered from the camp take away / shop. the parc is very quiet which is what we were looking for. Kevin (30 August 2015)
A great site. Very quite location.ideal for family's with smaller children.. very clean facilities . tents a bit dated. Allan from Newcastle (28 August 2015)
First time eurocamping - very relaxed and family friendly.great site for going out on the bikes with the kids, biking along to the patisseria in notre dame du monts Simon from Taunton (23 August 2015)
We had a great holiday at the site, the beach was fantastic clean and quiet. The kids enjoyed body boarding and flying their kites. The beach however was more like 6-800 metres away not the 400 metres the brochure details. Due to the size of the site, the kids could go out and play without us being to concerned about where they were, they were always in earshot! everyone on site that we spoke to were very friendly and the other children were well behaved with everyone respecting the silence after 2300. The toilet and shower block was always kept to a high standard. . . our main gripe with the holiday was the noise of the road which backs on to the site. It's not a constant drone of vehicles going by but the occasional fast motorcycle going past like its on oulton park race track. The pool on site was small but the kids seemed to enjoy it and it didn't get that busy. . . john (the rep) was more than helpful ensuring we had settled in and offered alternative outings when the weather wasn't too good. . . all in all a brilliant holiday and as long as you are happy with a bit of road noise and a small pool I would recommend this site. This was our first eurocamp holiday and we are already planning our next one!! Steve from Frodsham (20 August 2015)
We only had 2 days but enjoyed it well enough. Pierre from Worcester (10 August 2015)
Great campsite, accomodation was clean and tidy, camp beds tended to lean so led to an uncomfortable night but heyho that's camping. Jon the rep was a great representative for the company, friendly and cheerful and made sure that we were ok. Hopefully he will be there again next year. Really nice chap. Well done eurocamp. Cherilyn from Hartley Wintney (01 August 2015)
A good holiday although the weather could have been better! Andrew from Wallingford (01 August 2015)
We had a wonderful week with our grandson aged 6 who had never been camping before. He thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The facilities and parc are exactly as described, there were no hidden extras or difficulties. Sue from Milton Keynes (30 July 2015)
La foret is an excellent park for a beach holiday, we shared the beach with only a handful of people during our stay. excellent cycle paths let you cycle for miles without mixing with cars. only downside is that you need to travel further than st jean de monts to visit a "french" town. Frank from Harrogate (25 June 2015)
Very quiet site close to the beach. We hired bikes at the site and both towns were easily reached by bike. Notre dame dr monte the nearest town had local shops supermarket and good restaurants these were all within walking distance of the campsite. We had a very pleasant quiet week. Tom from Chesterfield (25 June 2015)
Great small family focused park with excellent clean toilets and showers. Pitches were a bit small for cars too. Ruth from Gloucester (31 May 2015)
Great little campsite for a relax - pool is good not a lot for kids to do - bar bike, beach and pool which in our case was ideal. Michael from Hythe (30 May 2015)
Phil our eurocamp rep at la floret was excellent and could do all and more to help and makes us welcome, he's a great asset to promoting your business. Stephen from Conwy (07 September 2014)
Great for families with young children, small enough that they can take themselves to playground etc, lovely quiet unspoilt beach. Alison from Southampton (01 September 2014)
Really enjoyed are stay at la foret but it's more suitable for younger children very happy with rep and site was fantastic. We have booked to go to eurocamp next year but at other site as we have a 11 year old and 9 year old just need a little more to do. But I would recommend camping la foret Anthony from Oxford (31 August 2014)
Beautiful location. Beach was stunning. Facilities of the camp were great and really modern and clean. Tent was really well equipped. Where the pitches are permanent and well used there wasn't a lot of grass cover outside the tent and when it rained for a couple of days it became quite muddy and difficult to keep clean. other than that nothing to rumble about. The site did have some lovely static places to stay and were actually cheaper. I'd go direct next time and book one of these instead. Confirmed Holidaymaker (30 August 2014)
Parc has good location near the beach but far too many pitches in a small area Sarah (25 August 2014)
On the plus side it's a very well run campsite with friendly and helpful campsite staff. There's a pine forest just across the road through which you can reach the beach with a 5 minute walk. The wash blocks have been recently refurbished and are as clean as you'll find on any campsite. . on the negative side, the pitches are small (no room for eurocamp awning) and very tightly packed together. Also the campsite backs onto a very busy and noisy main road. If you're with eurocamp then avoid pitch 18 at all costs, as it's right next to the road and the noisy neighbouring campsite and also permanently in the shade so quite cold. Because the campsite is so small there are limited areas for kids to run about, and nowhere for them to play football for example. Damian from Leeds (23 August 2014)
Great little park and facility's. Claire from Sheffield (18 August 2014)
Great camp site. The road nearby is very busy and noisy which is unfortunate given how beautiful the site is and its location. Weather was rainy towards the end of our stay which limited what we could do with the kids. Andy from Maidstone, Kent (10 August 2014)
I was apprehensive about a camping holiday but having experienced the accommodation, facilities and staff at la foret, I am already planning a similar holiday next year. The shower block and washing facilities were excellent and the tents were well equipped. My only 'complaint' would be that the pool opened a little earlier in the day, but it is not a major concern. Jo from Kent (05 August 2014)
We chose this site as it was small, quiet, family friendly and in walking distance to the beach. It was exactly what we were looking for and exceptionally well looked after. Loos and showers are modern and spotlessly clean. Pool is small, but for 61 pitches and with the sea so close, it was fine and big enough for the kids to play in. Pitches near the back of the site are close to the road but we soon forgot it was there. Bread etc available from reception in the morning but you need to order in advance. Bike hire from reception is also reasonably priced but we would take kids bikes next time as most of their socialising on site was bike /board/ scooter based. Miles and miles of great cycle paths through the woods link to the 2 nearby towns. Courier gave us good advice for days out and restaurants and was present and helpful without being obtrusive. canoeing to the windmill at sallertaine was a highlight. We would definately choose this site again. Richard from Devon (03 August 2014)
Cleanest shower and toilet blocks i've encountered. friendliest staff and great for toddler/young children. Kate from Loughborough (25 July 2014)
Bustling campsite during the day, but silent by ten thirty! despite being busy, generous pitch size and high hedges gave you privacy. Very clean facilities and nice walk to beach. Rebecca from Bath (14 July 2014)
We are a family of 4 with young children and location was brilliant and the park facilities top notch. We would definitely return to this site for future holidays. Anthony from Bristol (28 June 2014)
Just wonderful! we have just returned from 10 days at la foret, and could have stayed forever!! the site is just as it is described in the eurocamp brochure, 'small and friendly' and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing family holiday. . greg and weibke (the owners) and their staff are so welcoming and helpful to all of their guests, and phil (the eurocamp rep) was brilliant. . the site itself is small, but very well laid out and the pitches provide plenty of privacy. The wash block has recently been immaculately refurbished, and is kept spotlessly clean. the pool area is again spotless and there are plenty of sunbeds available. While the bigger pool isn't heated it was warm enough in the afternoon for a cooling dip (29 degrees for most of our holiday!!) the smaller toddler pool is heated and while we didn't really use it very much as our children are much older ther were plenty of parents and little tots enjoying a splash in the warmer water. There was a good mixture of guests too, although we were the only family with older children, there were plenty of young familys, young couples and older couples, and the atmosphere of the site was so friendly and relaxed.the standard of food from the snack bar was excellent, and while we only tended to get frites to go with our bbq most nights, the one evening that we did have a full meal from there it was delicious, and very reasonably priced. there was also a pizza van at the park on a tuesday evening which was again well priced, fantastic quality and made a nice change from the rigours of preparing salad and bbq!!!. . notre dame de monts is well worth the delightful 3km walk or cycle down the forest track, its a lovely small town and the proprietors of the local shops are so friendly and helpful. The supermarket there was well stocked and more than adequate for everything we needed. . the beaches in the area are beautiful and the 2 minute walk down through the forest to the nearest one was perfect for an after dinner stroll to fly the kite or jump the waves. . the fact that there are no awful kids activity cubs or discos on this park was perfect for us as a family, we actively go out of aur way to avoid places that have those kind of things, so if that's the kind of holiday you want don't book here. If however you want a quiet, relaxing and tranquil family holiday then look no further, la foret is perfect! . . value for money doesn't even cover it, we will deffinately be back!!! Laura from Mold, North Wales (26 June 2014)
After the preceding spacious sites with plenty of good facilities, this one was a bit of a disappointment. We decided to change location (see notes below). Ian from Ashby De La Zouch (24 June 2014)
A very enjoyable holiday Simon from Tewkesbury (22 June 2014)
Fantastic holiday, campsite was excellent, very clean and well organized. Our eurocamp rep ( philip) was fab!!! very friendly. The sun shone all week, the tent was warm and beds were very compfy. Brilliant holiday , and will defiantly be returning in 2016.., Kim from Evesham (22 June 2014)
The best campsite we have ever stayed on with the cleanest toilets and showers! absolutely brilliant bike trail running along the coast. However, we didn't really like the local towns (they felt very run down and not at all like the pretty french villages I love in brittany / the dordogne etc) so we stuck mostly to the beach and campsite which got a bit tricky when it was really too hot for the beach (and we were there in june so not sure what it would be like in august!). st gilles was really nice with a lovely market but was about a 25 minute drive away. The pool is small but lovely. I wouldn't really describe it as having a children's pool - there is a shallower square pool but seemed to be designed as a heated adult's pool. Make sure you try the campsite's moules frites - the best I have ever had and I have tried a lot! Rebecka (14 June 2014)
Very family friendly park. Excellent toilet and washing facilities. Friendly courier. Rosanna (31 May 2014)
Fantastic holiday and phil our eurocamp courier was excellent.beautiful park in a stunning area,no complaints at all Patrick from Craven Arms (31 May 2014)
Brilliant week spent in a beautiful area. the beach and forest are amazing, brilliant for exploring on foot and by bike. we took bikes with us and used them to visit the local towns. the campsite is kept spotlessly and the owners were very friendly. the courier was very welcoming too. The artisan boulangerie at notre dame de monts is amazing. the corniche vendee is well worth a visit, just make sure you go at low tide. our only minor niggle was not realising we would need matches to light the stove, we left our box for the next family! Christi from Earls Barton (31 May 2014)
Friendly family park with good local facilities Clare from Irthlingborough (25 May 2014)
Very lovely, relaxing Dj from Yeovil (14 May 2014)
A great friendly courier greeted us. The park is so quiet and friendly great pool and short walk to super long sandy beach. Such a relaxing holiday. Cherilyn from Hartley Wintney (02 September 2013)
The eurocamp courier was excellent, always helpful and polite, very considerate. The campsite was smaller than previous ones we have used, the staff were helpful and informal. What let the site down was the the size of the pitches and the ground they were upon. The space available outside the tent was minimal at best, for half our holiday the 'neighbours' had two cars, which made it very cramped indeed. The tent was pitched on very rough ground, mostly tree roots that made it essential for footwear to be worn at all times, even inside the tent, not the most relaxing way to spend your holiday. The campsite location, once found, was very convenient for all our needs. Access to nearby towns and beaches was very good as it was for restaurants etc. Lastly, august was the wrong time of year for the vendee, extremely busy and so not conductive to relaxation and harmony. Peter from Yeovil (28 August 2013)
This is an excellent campsite with very friendly owners who keep a well managed, clean site with all the facilities you need. it's a great location for cycling along safe family friendly routes, with few hills and bike hire based at the site. the pool is small but never overcrowded. lots of families, but it's a very quiet site, if you want somewhere with something to do after 9pm its possibly not for you. having arrived by train, we relied on public transport and cycling around the area and the local bus service is 100m from the site and is a reliable cheap service (50c per person) which runs all day and until late in the evening between notre dame and st john de monts (and further if you wish). there are plenty of beaches very close by, some better than others, all accessible from the cycle paths, but watching the sun set and the moon rise (full moon when we were there) on the beach closest to the site was fantastic and a must to do. the atlantic beach in this region has good shallow beaches and few waves which is rare for this coast and better for young children. we found some very good restaurants in notre dame, in particluar l'estran which is 350m walk from the site, serving excellent fish dishes and they provide a great childrens area where they can play. so, ditch the car, hire a bike and go explore. Scott from Newcastle (24 August 2013)
It would be very good apart from the noisy people; I know it's hard but I think there need to be letters to eurocamp people saying that if your child is awake before 7am and/or crying for more than a few moments during the night then we suggest you walk with them away from the main camping area to try to comfort them.. really, I have kids, I know it can be hard but it was hell. Lovely location. Nice small park. Tracey from Frome (12 August 2013)
We love this campsite and had a great time. However, we had requested not to be placed at the back near the road where it is much noisier and we were not happy to find, on arrival, that we had, in fact, been allocated the pitch closest to the road!! we did manage to change tents after 3 days and had a much quieter and more relaxing time. Donna from Bristol (10 August 2013)
Excellent holiday Emma from Huddersfield (28 Jul 2013)
Short stay (2 nights) with our 2 grandchildren to visit our son and his family who were camping on site. It rained on our only complete day, obviously not eurocamp's fault!! but it did spoil the overall otherwise good impression. Neville from Chef-Boutonne (28 Jul 2013)
We had a great family holiday in a very quiet family orientated parc in a lovely area with lots to do nearby. John from Stenhousemuir (21 Jul 2013)
Great holiday. Would go back to this parc again Heather (21 Jul 2013)
Liked this park, perfect for small children, friendly, clean and close to a great beach. Roisin from Ni (09 Jul 2013)
Great holiday camp, great location, thanks for the memories! Madigan from Ely (30 Jun 2013)
Nice site but too quiet for us. Didn't like it that the eurocamp tents faced each other either as didn't feel like we had much privacy. Weather was awful but obviously that's no reflection on the site itself. After 3 days of rain we paid extra to transfer to another site on the south coast which was well worth the money. There isn't much to do in this area if the weather is poor unless you want to pay a lot of money as the nearby attractions are quite dear. The showers at this site were also too cold (couldn't change the temperature)-they would have been fine if the weather was warmer but it was only 15 degrees when I was there and I was shivering in the showers! Laura from Derbyshire (28 Jun 2013)
Excellent well run parc with superb location for our needs. very friendly parc owners and most helpful hardworking courier with a very engaging personality. suitable for young families and active couples Carolyn from Harrogate (26 Jun 2013)
Nice little parc, just far enough outside town and right near woods and the beach.. Jamie from Shropshire (01 Jun 2013)
Lovely holiday! really enjoyed it. I had expected the couriers to be knowledgeable about the area but this was not the case. I think they could benefit from an induction to the area to ensure they can be informative for guests. Helene from Manchester (24 May 2013)
