We have stayed in eurocamp "homes" for several years and the one at lanterna was the worst that we have occupied. It was barely clean , the fixtures and fittings were very " tired " , the shower left a lot to be desired and in fact we used the campsite facilities which were spotless by comparison. . we had to request large glasses as there were none and the cutlery did not match the eurocamp " at least six " inventory. After texting confirmation of our arrival time to the eurocamp courier, we were greeted at eurocamp tent forty minutes later to be given the key to the home and a map whereas we have always been accompanied to our accommodation in the past. David from Sheffield (27 September 2015)
We deliberately book our holidays for september knowing that children would be back at school so the park would be quieter. Richard from Middlesbrough (25 September 2015)
We were met with rudeness, and the couriers remained invisible for our entire time. we saw one courier for 2 mins on arrival and for half a minute the day before departure. we were not shown our mobile as expected and it was a very very big site and quite difficult to find the way around. Maggie from Hitchin (23 September 2015)
Excellent site all you could ask for. The site staff could not do eougth for you. However the courier was rude , thats if you managed to find him and of no help when needed. The accommodation was clean but tired broken decking, parts of wall missing and general run down. Dawn (20 September 2015)
We had an amazing time in croatia. The site was much larger and busier than we were used to in france so we had to keep a closer eye on the kids. Gareth from Cardiff (30 August 2015)
The campsite is large and most suitable for families with younger children. I last had a eurocamp holiday 7 years ago at the same site. The parc has moved on but the accomodation hasnt. Would recommend site and croatia in general but not this accomodation. Ash (26 August 2015)
Relaxed and easy-going James from Sunbury (25 August 2015)
Great park with plenty to do but caravan was very old, tired and needed a clean. other companies caravans were much more modern and better equiped. Andy from Huntingdon (15 August 2015)
Parc had excellent facilities, with friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Mobile home had many defects and is in need of refurbishment. The contact with eurocamp staff was minimal, with a poor welcome and farewell. Overall we felt that the holiday was overpriced, and reflected the high season rather than the quality of the accommodation. . Deborah from Sheffield (12 August 2015)
I would not recommend eurocamp tents for families visiting this park, although the park itself is great, but very very large (9000 people!!!) and busy. Noisy at night, and tents are situated right by main entrance so be prepared to be woken regularly at 4am by rowdy groups. Eurocamp tents look tired and are not overly clean or fully functioning. Lots of lovely beaches and the kids had a great time! Emma from Oxford (11 August 2015)
Camp amenities fabulous, people really nice. Accommodation pathetic. Mouldy curtains, black stained lino, rotten wood and very poorly maintained showerroom. Broken cupboard doors and worst of all no aircon. In fact eurocamp vans seemed to be the only ones on site without aircon..and this site holds 9500 people ! Carol from Aberdeen (08 August 2015)
It was ok but not perfect. Barbara from :Ondon (30 July 2015)
Excellent campsite with great facilities, cafes, bars, play areas and beaches with inflatable courses for the children. We hired a car and explored istria, novigrad, porec, pula and crest island. We also visited ljubljana which was less than 2 hours away. There was a 36-42°c heatwave and so air con in our mobile home would have been a good idea. We booked everything through eurocamp which was all successful. Liam from Market Harborough (27 July 2015)
The way this advertised and what you actually get two different things. then the lack of communication is horrible and why provide an email/telephone number if you aren't g to have customer friendly hours. company isn't local & bless the heart of the people who are local who try to manage what they can with the info they are given or not given. the local people on site are the only reason i'm not making a bigger fuss about this. because they were very professional & nice. Courtenay (26 July 2015)
Camping lanterna is more like a town that a campsite. the facilities are excellent, with supermarkets, restaurants, takeaway, beaches etc. the swimming pools are too small for the size of the campsite and you have to pay to use the sunbeds however the directly accessed pebble beach is amazing. Overall it was a great holiday but bear in mind the size of the campsite before deciding to stay here. Eurocamp also urgently need to review replacing the caravans on site as they are obviously the oldest on site. Carol from Leicester (22 July 2015)
The parc is massive but still manages to feel small and friendly. Pools are fab as are the restaurants. Katie (08 July 2015)
Had a great time from beginning to end. Martin from Stoke-On-Trent (30 June 2015)
Awful holiday, had more repairs in the mobile home in 7 days than in my house for the past 10 years. mobile hones are 10-12 years old!!! very far from the beach, couriers very rude, not helpful, created 80gbp phone bill, .. will never use eurocamp again nor will we recomend it again to our friends & family! very dissapointing eurocamp site overall. Maida (27 June 2015)
The campsite is excellent. Eurocamp accommodation is very poor. The couriers - what couriers???? Paul from Abergavenny (26 June 2015)
The parc, staff and local people were lovely. The facilities were great but our accomodation was a little dated and worn but functional and adequate. Bianca from Worcester, Uk (17 June 2015)
The eurocamp courier wanted extra damage insurance paying when I had already paid insurance for the whole trip . he would not put any toilet paper in the van or give us a black dustbin bag for rubbish. On arrival he pushed a pack of towels in my hand ( he was not in a good mood because I said I had already paid the damage insurance ) there was no shower mats in the towel set . we ran out of gas in the middle of cooking a meal . Kenneth from Leicestershire (15 June 2015)
Had a fabulous holiday at lanterna, location is perfect and istria is a beautiful part of croatia to explore. Elaine from Glasgow (09 May 2015)
We really enjoyed our holiday. Croatia is very beautiful, good value for money and the people are very friendly and helpful. Loved it and returning next year! Jan from Bristol (29 September 2014)
Lovely park in great location. Quite noisy at night until very late (disco?). expected croatia to be cheaper. Confirmed Holidaymaker (31 August 2014)
Lovely park, plenty to see and do in and around. Louise from Aynho (30 August 2014)
Very big site. Was slightly disappointed that there was a charge for everything, except the pool. Very clean facilities on site. Lovely holiday. Quite a hilly site. Julian from Radcliffe, Manchester (28 August 2014)
We loved croatia, but this site is so busy -had to queue for everything, pay for loungers by the pool. eurocamp set up not what I have come to expect. sit is really noisey - at night the music from the discos/beer festival and in the morning from 6.30 setting up the bakery hut beside our moblie home. worst 2 nights sleep of the holiday. Rowena from Farnham (17 August 2014)
The parc was fabulous, lots of activities and facilities for all ages. Our eurocamp tent wasn't that clean, the pitch wasn't very nice and the couriers weren't very interested or particularly friendly. Emma (16 August 2014)
I wouldn't recommend this place. Not very friendly, expensive on camp from the market to the shop. Staff are miserable and rude. . swimming pool needs maintenance work doing to it. My advise would be if you use the kids pool. Make sure they wear water shoes. Lots of kids came out with bloody toes as the pool was hard on their feet. Katherine (13 August 2014)
Great location, and lovely campsite lots of space Julie from Billericay (13 August 2014)
Croatia is a must! people very friendly and do many beautiful places to see. Christine from Faversham (12 August 2014)
Huge site, the kids pool is great and the food on site is ok but good value for money . the main pool is salt water not good for toddlers . all the beaches are stoney and rocky Stephen from Farnborough (02 August 2014)
We had a lovely time here just a slightl problem with the awful weather - only thing we didn't like was the boat trip sales people hassling for trade round our tent Susan from Gilberdyke (27 July 2014)
We had a great holiday. The campsite was quiet. we slept very well. the environment is beautiful .. Veerle from Porec (23 July 2014)
It took us a long time to drive to porec which on hind sight we would not do again. the park itself is large and clean with plenty of activities to join in with. The tent was clean, and although we had to ask for some of the equipment, it was quickly supplied with a friendly smile and chat. we spent most of our time on the park in the adriatic, which was ideal for families with small children, with warm clean water and few waves to deal with. we were surprised that the blow up water gym costed extra to enjoy. we spent days out at novigrad, and porec town which were enjoyable with history and culture. our teenager enjoyed the motorised cycles on the park, the dune buggies safari just outside the park and the go cart track close to porec. we will certainly return to croatia in the future. Dawn (19 July 2014)
Great park in a great location in croatia. caravans are showing their age but everything worked just fine. Christina from Maryland, Usa (05 July 2014)
Great park, a lot to do. Only negative point is you must pay for all extras (sunbeds, kids rides etc). otherwise 10 out of 10. Bobbie from Munich (05 July 2014)
Excellent site and very well run. Tim from Cardiff (02 July 2014)
Good holiday - nice weather. Would recommend the parc but not eurocamp. John from Liskeard, Cornwall (01 July 2014)
Hi, our accomodation was the known one. The pitch was really ok, there was enough shadow. Andrea from Suedtirol / South Tyrol - Dolomites (30 June 2014)
Camp check in took over an hour of queuing on a saturday evening, and felt more like an airport lounge. Bob from Clemson (27 June 2014)
Lovely parc, everything you need. June from Brentwood (14 June 2014)
The campsite was brilliant but the eurocamp tents were very disappointing, not clean inside and the outside area was not kept well. The website does not give a true look at the accommodation provided. Samantha from Blackpool (10 June 2014)
The campsite is big but the facilities are good. There is everything that you need for a family holiday. Rachel from Rotherham (01 June 2014)
I wasnt told there would be a really really loud music festival down the road for first 3 days of our hol this affected our sleep 1 night we didnt get any !! . . one of the reasons I booked was because of the inflatables in the water for the kids but they werent there !! not good ! Natalie from Stockport (31 May 2014)
We enjoyed a great holiday in croatia with good accommodation in an excellent location for touring around. We even visited slovenia! Elaine from Cleckheaton (11 May 2014)
An excellent holiday staying at 8 eurocamp sites throughout europe. Our longest stay was at camp lanterna, porec - 6 nights. Susan from Tonbridge (30 April 2014)
Excellent holiday, great base for many attractions John from Cumbria (23 September 2013)
Lthough. Rotarians and porec was beautiful I felt the amp site was too big! the caravan was dirty and had seen far better days! we had to clean the floors on arrival! the walls doors and curtains were covered in brown stains/marks and the caravan was falling apart. We stayed at two other euro amp sites after porec and the caravans there were a lot better cared for and cleaner. but after all this porec was beautiful. Jane from Rotherham (25 August 2013)
On our first night, we arrived to a dirty, smelly, clearly not cleaned mobile home. We spent our first night after travelling over 1000 miles and saving up all year, without much sleep. We spoke to the courier who was very apologetic and moved us to a slightly cleaner chalet. We decided to spend our first day at the pool. The site has over 3000 pitches and two pools! one of which is a children's pool, where the water comes no further than your knees. On arriving at the pool, it was so busy there was no room for swimming, let alone walking through the water. It was full of young adults desperate to make contact with the other sex. On top of that we were charged for sitting on a sunbed. Never in all the years of staying with eurocamp have I been charged for sunbeds. The holiday then proceeded in the same fashion. Everything single activity, there was a charge for and every sunbed by the sea there was a charge. The food was the same wherever you went, pizza grill. It was a very noisy campsite with people shouting and screaming, it felt like, in your bedroom, until the early hours. Not a pleasant, relaxing holiday we were hoping for. Very disappointing. Timothy from Newton Abbot (18 August 2013)
Beautiful park, clean pools, clean cafes and bars, the shops were handy but not alot of choice, the eurocamp reps were never in their hq, didnt bother to come and see us and next time I visit I will go direct as there was no added value in booking through eurocamp. Deboragh from Tewkesbury (18 August 2013)
Large site but not crowded. Site privacy good. Excellent facilities. Close to beach. Lovely area to visit and sunshine guaranteed. Mark from Banbury (18 August 2013)
The camp is very large but very well equipped and clean. We would have liked more organised activities for the kids but we had a great time. Main problem was the border crossing into croatia, we sat in a queue for 3.5 hours. Fiona from Alcester (17 August 2013)
The parc is very large and not located next to a town (all clear on the website) , the beaches are stony but we found a nice crescent beach at one part of the parc (you still need sea shoes though, sold on parc) accomodation was lovely as set in the pine trees and felt a bit more private than previous sites we visited. The biggest let down for us was that we flew into trieste airport in italy and had a hurrendous journey each way because of traffic going through the border ( in august) overall we had a lovely, very relaxing holiday but the journey spoilt it) Anna from London (17 August 2013)
Great place to stay, but could have a few more things in the accommodation. For example, a slice to get eggs out of a frying pan(difficult with a spoon!). the park advertises 'free wifi', but does not say you can only get it in certain places. either tell us the restrictions, or don't tell lies. Michael from London, England (17 August 2013)
Disappointing service from eurocamp. Te rep was next to useless and we only saw him twice, both times we had to find him. The parc appears open to anyone who wanders in so the pool area and beach are packed. Eurocamp's presence in the parc is minimal and we felt that our pitch and equipment was of the lowest standard around. The advertised wifi, when working, was rubbish and you had to be in the info office surrounded by teenagers if you wanted a chance of getting online, most of the time you could not get online. . we saw nothing of the kids club as the rep did not show us anything and we could not find it. Jonathan from Moreton In Marsh (15 August 2013)
Brochure should inform us it is a salt water pool. Kids refused to go in it as saltier than the sea. Good evening entertainment. Cheap to eat out, buy drinks and ice creams - very cheap compared to the rest of europe. Not too many places to visit unless you are prepared to go further a field. lovely local towns. Water activities very good value for money. Claire (12 August 2013)
Didn't expect camp to be so big. poor for swimming/bathing; no sandy beaches, difficult access to sea. 2 pools far too crowded with 1 being unruly and dangerous for youngsters. Eurocamp staff not available throughout the day and diffcult to locate even during "opening hours". our 6 year old did love the kids club and there was very little queing at the various facilities. Graeme from Stokesley (11 August 2013)
The mobile home was old., dirty and full of ants. it didn't have air con which is really needed in the mid summer heat. The park was too big and spread out. Confirmed Holidaymaker (09 August 2013)
Holiday was just ok Alison from Chester (04 August 2013)
The parc is massive - way too big to feel part of any of the activiities which was a real shame. The parc was clean and quiet and we had a lovely little slot for our mobile home but it was always a major expedition to go to the beach or the pool as it was a longish walk. We loved the ac in the home ( didnt have that in italy at our first eurocamp) . personally I think we made a poor choice for this parc and I would have been happier on a smaller campsite - probably one I found myself. . we made lots of day trips to surrounding towns which was lovely. Debbie from Stockport (29 Jul 2013)
The parc has very good facilities. The mobile home was shabby, dirty and had termites. David from Birmingham (28 Jul 2013)
Great Susan from Gilberdyke (28 Jul 2013)
We thought that the site was rather too large - it took us nearly 15 mins to walk to reception which was the only place we would get wifi access. in general the couriers were very helpful although they were unable to provide us with a replacement lightbulb because they said they didn't have any of the right ones. The restaurant called the blue moon was lovely and natan our waiter was especially friendly and helpful and the pizzas from the takeaway were lovely too. Eve from Huddersfield (21 Jul 2013)
This park is stunning, great value for money, great facilities, kids accommodated for and all staff on site very friendly! Johanne (16 Jul 2013)
Great, but we missed the kids clubs from other eurocamps. I think that is something that you need to add. Jason (14 Jul 2013)
Fanastic Colin (11 Jul 2013)
Fantastic camp site which has a beautiful coastline. Eurocamp reps are excellent. Mobile home clean and tidy, was ready at agreed time. One slight down side half of the cooking utensils were missing, but our rep andre', quickly put this right, by giving us the most essential items that we required. Michael from Darlington (07 Jul 2013)
Accommodation spotless in nice quiet roomy area. Site excellent lovely pebbly beaches, very hot weather, clear seas. Helen from Ballymena (30 Jun 2013)
The camp had great facilities but we prefer smaller camps that are more personal. Joanna (29 Jun 2013)
Not a good experience! the courier was absent, and arrived two hours later, rather drunk. the accommodation was tiny, with a lot of basic items missing. a long way from amenities, with over one hundred and fifty (very steep) steps to the beach made it hard work to do anything. the parc is far too big and overcrowded, and even checking in took over three hours! Graham from Como, Italy (29 Jun 2013)
Excellent site, beautiful country, good value. Tim from Radyr, Cardiff (28 Jun 2013)
Park was lovely . views and position of mobile was brilliant. The mobile was old and needed a refurb we had to reclean bathroom on arrival. Also missing bbq tools ,oven utensils ,roasting tin . John from Derby (28 Jun 2013)
Accommodation very dated, equipment missing, ran out of gas on first night, parking at accommodation very difficult, only saw a courier on first night. John from Clyro (27 Jun 2013)
The parc was good, especially the toilet blocs which were of good design and kept exceptionally clean. Did not approve of charging for sun loungers in pool area. Gerard from Southampton (24 Jun 2013)
Overall, we enjoyed our holiday. The parc is very big but met our needs and we enjoyed the pool and beach. . . the accommodation was poor and the couriers disinterested. Paul from Liverpool (22 Jun 2013)
First time in croatia and enjoyed it. Keith from Stirling (17 Jun 2013)
Great campsite with plenty of space and places to relax. very green and loved being by the sea. Sarah (08 Jun 2013)
Super location, great staff already planning next years trip. Darren from Plymouth (02 Jun 2013)
We have enjoyed staying at camping lanterna a lovely park I would say everythings is on site. I have recommended this place to our friends at work and showed them photo's. We would go back again. It even had info office that provide map to guide us about in croatia..excellent. Errol from Birmingham (02 Jun 2013)
The park itself had terrific facilities - it was just really big to get around!! Angela from Gold Coast, Australia (31 May 2013)
When we arrived ( I know it was the opening day ) the van smelled damp and musty, the gas and fridge wasn,t switched and we had no contact from the couriers in the 10 days we were there. The reception tent was empty, not a brochure or book. The only time we saw a courier was the australian guy driving around in his car. We had a problem with parking, we used the place we were allocated but it became obvious that the guy next door thought it was his and instead of coming and talking to me he made us feel uncomfortable. There was hardly anybody there and I don,t mind walking to my car but if it was tight in may then there will be problems in july. We had a lot of noise from people emptying bins early in the morning and there was a lot of noise from the quarry opposite, continual beeping of lorries reversing from 7am to 8pm 7 days a week. I am not a complainer I usually just get on with it but I think that this constructive feedback you will find that I have e mailed you on firstname.lastname@example.org with some very positive feedback. Roland from Wrenbury Cheshire (28 May 2013)
Only problem with this parc are the trees they drop buds onto your car which are glue like which stick to your car and are very difficult to remove would recommend you take cover for car to stop this happening Wilma (26 May 2013)
The camp is beautiful. We found the mobile homes shabby - they had clearly been bought from another company and had no english sockets. Given that we had not received our information pack for our holiday, this could have been a problem had we not packed adapters. Judy from High Wycombe (24 May 2013)
This is a lovely site, and our first ever camping holiday. Was impressed by accomadation. Only gripe is that we were based quite far out in camp, but this was perhaps an oversight on our part as we are in our 60's and we wanted to be based next to our daughter and grandchildren, who found the walk to supermarket, resteruant a bit far as they are only 3yr old twins. Perhaps a mention on booking form about this sort of thing would help. Porec is beautiful, and easy to get to. Linda from Clitheroe (15 May 2013)
