This was our third eurocamp. Accommodation was not clean. Had water leaking from defrosted freezer which went into bedroom and wet some things. Facilities on camp were not open very often plus poor choice of food. The grounds outside were overgrown. Reps told us to be off camp by 1000 hrs on day of departure and that we had to clean accommodation in areas that were of low standard on our arrival. We will not use this camp again. However we will return to our former eurocamp sites. Steve from Rotherham (13 September 2015)
Brilliant holiday we are def going back with our dog!. Amanda from Lincoln (30 August 2015)
A great holiday, site was well located amongst wonderful beaches, unfortunately the site beach was a bit stoney. Ronan from Reading (29 August 2015)
The eurocamp accommodation was very close to the the pool/bar complex, which included a night club which was open until around 2:30 am every evening. due to a lack of any sound proofing this made the park very noisy during the night, I would not recommend these park to anybody with small children or those who like to go to sleep before 2 in the morning. Matthew (29 August 2015)
We had a wonderful time thank you our couriers were fantastic and very helpful. I would recommend calagogo and would definitely go back. Yvonne (23 August 2015)
We were really disappointed with the customer service from the eurocamp couriers, there were issues with the accommodation. The parc was nice but was smaller and more densely packed than we expected. The beach was pleasant, but it wasn't really sand and you couldn't make sand castles. There were stones at the waters edge so we couldn't go barefoot into the sea. There were lots of activities but mostly for younger children. The pool was nice, but busy, difficult to get a sun bed. The surrounding area was lovely and good for cycling. Vivienne from Stockport (20 August 2015)
The overall holiday was good as we went out everyday to different places Customer 7 (15 August 2015)
A safe environment for children, easy access to the beach which was not overcrowded. Pool and other facilities very good and well maintained. Tim from Bordon (11 August 2015)
Very hot we need the air con. Wi fi is free for 1/2 per day but the connection is poor and I couldn't keep up with social media. Shop shuts in the middle of the day. Lisa from Warrington (08 August 2015)
Very very busy camp don't go in august Philip from Petersfield Hampshire (08 August 2015)
Definitely the best place to go on family holiday, the entertainment was brilliant, a lot to do for kids, very clean and safe place, and obviously an amazing environment. Modesta from Bangor (06 August 2015)
Excellent location. Between very nice beach and aqualand with a bus into town so plenty to do without needing a car. Facilities on site are very good with good pools, good shop, bar and a cafe that does decent pizza. Michael (06 August 2015)
Amazing holiday and does what is says on the tin. Paul from Norwich (05 August 2015)
A lovely part of sw france. The parc is set away from the main stretch of st.cyprien - walkable for adults and older kids but too far for our 5 and 2 year olds so we hired bikes instead. The parc itself is very friendly and we had no problem with noise but the pitches are very cramped and some of the facilities are a little tired eg the playground. The pools are fabulous and we spent many a happy hour there with our kids. Our biggest disappointment was the beach - its proximity to the campsite was a big draw to us as our kids can spend hours playing in the sand. On our first day we headed down there and unfortunately there was a lot of glass on the sand and not just in one place so we felt like we had to avoid it for the rest of our holidays. Also we love eurocamp and this is our third consecutive year holidaying with them but felt standards had dropped this year - we did not get sent in the post maps of the area, etc and had to print out minimal info which was out of date eg recommended restaurants had closed down. Also we have always been provided with a free welcome pack with drying up towel, a sponge etc just to get you through till the first trip to the supermarche - trying to get a dish out the oven with no oven gloves etc is a pain. so we did have a fab holiday but have had better service and experience at other parcs. Aimie from Shefford (30 July 2015)
Lovely site in a good location on the beach. gerrit was very welcoming and nothing was a problem. the problem was the staff in the restaurant and the food being served. also the accommodation was no different to other accommodation in the but commanded a lot more money, haven't worked out why!? I probably wouldn't return as the site did not have an overly friendly feel which all the other sites we have stayed at did have. Kristina from Solihull (27 July 2015)
An excellent campsite. It would be nice to have some slides for older children. great setting with the beach just behind the campsite. limited shopping near the campsite as the general area is quite residential. a car would be useful although we managed by using the one euro bus, the train-bus and walking. really handy for aqualand which is excellent. Patrick from Armagh (21 July 2015)
Excellent organization from booking through to parks, accomodation and locations ( also 4 days at la vallee houlgate ). Roger from Chippenham (16 July 2015)
Great for a beach holiday when you want to cater for yourself. Ian from Manchester (27 June 2015)
Wonderful .. we traveled to camping cala gogo early in the season. We had a great time . the weather was great . the camp / facilities were great. We thought that the entertainment team we're a real credit to the camp. . . we had a wonderful time ! Martyn from Rochdale (26 June 2015)
Awesome holiday. Beautiful parc and part if he world. Euro camp staff were so helpful and catered for any need. Heated pools, wonderful beach. International guests and everybody very friendly and happy. Excellent local food either from shop or in restaurant. Going back asap David from Northampton (24 June 2015)
Loved it! hopefully will go back again next year Jennifer from Suffolk (22 June 2015)
Clean and tidy site but parking at mobile home very restricted and poor. The park chef had his dog there running free in and out of the kitchens and eating areas pestering people for food it was out of control. Twelve items missing from our inventory only two of these were subsequently supplied the bbq was unusable due to being filthy when we arrived. The reps said it was the norm for items to be short and didn't have replacements David from Thurnscoe (13 June 2015)
Rep william, listens and takes action on problems. Site was good for children. Might be noisy in summer so try to get a pitch away from the action. Andrew from Halifax (12 June 2015)
Lovely site great location. Angela from Chipping Camden (06 June 2015)
Really enjoyable as always, this was our 4th visit to calagogo and we will be back again probably next year. Nicholas from Leicestershire (05 June 2015)
There was a nudeist beach the beach was very pebbley and sloped away quickly the camp site could have had lick of paint very untidy Robert (14 September 2014)
This is our 2nd visit. The parc is clean, well kept and well situated with easy access to a large clean beach. Our mobile home was adequate for us but a bit tired with an ac unit that dripped. The value however was amazing! will go back next year Robert from France (11 September 2014)
A thoroughy enjoyable holiday on a friendly parc in a beautiful and varied area- good beaches, pyrenees not far away and lots of interesting historical places to explore within a 2 hour drive of where we were staying. Sally from Penrith (31 August 2014)
Lovely John from Nottinghamshire (29 August 2014)
Our second visit to cala gogo and again, a lovely holiday. The area is great for holidays with so much to do, the parc is nice and with direct beach access, great for days on the beach. Everyone on site, including the eurocamp reps, were friendly and helpful, the on site shop stocks most things to make life easier and the location means you're not far away from some nice restaurants and interesting places to explore. Ian from Nuneaton (24 August 2014)
Had fab time, nearby carsaconne worth the drive to visit. parc great, plenty for all to do. kids loved fosm party n pool. canet plage beautiful having pyrenees as backdrop, bonus ! Michelle from Solihull (23 August 2014)
It was a lovely relaxing time Michael from Pontypridd (22 August 2014)
Good location in france for family of 5, including 2 teenagers. parc pitches were cramped compared with our previous experiences in france. on site pools good, clean and fairly spacious. Rebecca from London (20 August 2014)
Overall a very nice campsite, excellent facilities especially the pool complex which was very clean and well maintained. evening entertainment was well received by the whole family. Lawrence from Newport Shrops (18 August 2014)
Great holiday in a lovely area. Martyn from Ashtead (15 August 2014)
Great holiday, great site; children loved the pools. Darren and chelsee were really helpful Chris from Tring (10 August 2014)
Clean but very cramped accommodation, swimming pool area poorly maintained and not very clean, not enough sun loungers around pool, park is in the middle of nowhere and 3 stars at best not the 5 stars as advertised Ian from Chorleywood (08 August 2014)
On arrival in a thunderstorm after following the shockingly poor directions we had to text the courier to get him to come to reception. The accommodation we were taken to was appauling- couldn't park the car safely outside it and there was absolutely no privac. The unit had been turned sideways on the plot to allow another unti to be squeezed on! this meant our toilet window was up against the kitchen window of the unit behind and we could here every word from our neighbours. Totally unacceptable and definitely not what we were sold. Complained and had to threaten to move off parc to an hotel before the courier came up with an alternative unit. This was much better in a far more acceptable location. The male courier darren was hopeless and no use and unavailable for the whole holiday - cheeky text was our only contact. Chelsee on the other hand was brilliant and so helpful :) we are reluctant however to rebook with eurocamp for next year if there's a risk we could have the same accommodation or courier issues. The canvas rep was really good though and in darrens absence gave us loads of good advice. I suppose the lesson was he was there when darren wasn't. We'll definitely be going back to cala gogo next year but not sure it will be with eurocamp unfortunately. Of the three parcs we stayed in we had a really mixed experience l'epervie was 10 out of 10 courier and parc, cala gogo was 10 out of 10 for parc 1 out of 10 for courier darren and 1 out of 10 for initial accommodation 8 out of 10 for alternative, finally firebois again 2 out of 10 for acomodation (i have pictures) overgrown bushes surround the unit blocking all of the rear facing windows. These couldn't be opened and it was stifling and felt a little unsafe. There was an electrical hook up cable running right across the area in front of the unit which the kids found (tripped over) whilst playing football! this unit had clearly not been used for some time as it wasn't particularly clean and the taps and general fabric were in poor condition. Again we are planning a slightly longer trip to firebois next year but probably not with eurocamp. It's a real shame one of these may have been bearable (not the position of the cala gogo unit!) but our overall impression of a eurocamp holiday is that it is a real hit or miss whether you get clean accommodation or good couriers. Not sure given the cost whether this is a risk worth taking with our main holiday of the year. Overall we would probably have to mark eurocamp as 5/10 this year ;( Denise from Cumbernauld (31 July 2014)
Lovely beaches and area of france. the pools and facilities at cala gogo were great but the pitches are exceptionally small (only just big enough to cram the car in next to the decking and van). Julie from Hertfordshire (24 July 2014)
Absolutely what I expected - camp had great facilities for kids - was mainly french and dutch residents - so don't expect your kids to make lots of english pals at this campsite. Very geared for teenagers. Evening entertainment very noisy from 9 - 1130 so kids found it difficult getting to sleep and we didn't really get a restful evening on the deck as we had hoped!. quite a few cars driving round and no little gardens with our mobile so safety for small kids an issue - couldn't just let them run around freely as in other camp sites where feels smaller and safer. Clare from New Malden (20 July 2014)
As we were returning customers we were welcomed back by our couriers, darren and chelsee greater us like old friends, the cabin was not just clean but "my kind of clean"! they really looked after us and made us feel at home. our kids had a ball from start to finish and would definitely recommend this type of holiday! we are already planning our 2015 holiday!! let just hope eurocamp continue to provide competitive prices during school holidays. Hope to see you next year!! Gemma from Belfast (12 July 2014)
The park apparently has 5 stars which I find hard to believe. Its clean, the pools are nice, the shop is ok for basic needs. The restaurant is expensive for what you get. The beach is nice until you try getting in and out of the water!! its very stoney and very steep (we knew it was steep) but the stones make it difficult to get in and out. The bar staff were attentive but the reception staff were rude, ignorant and condescending. When booking this site last year I checked our boys could wear swim shorts as thats all they will wear, and all was fine until july 1st when they were put out of the pools and told they had to wear speedo's. When I queried this at reception, the staff were as I stated, rude, ignorant etc. Darren and chelsee (eurocamp staff) were excellent. They tried to work some things out with the site but unfortunately nothing came of it. Audrey (11 July 2014)
Brilliant holiday would definitely go back! Michael from Holmfirth (30 June 2014)
Superb location. Couriers very helpful and informative. Really enjoyable vacation. Thank you eurocamp. Lyndon from Sheffield (25 June 2014)
We had such a fantastic holiday and couldn't have wished for more! Caroline from Tunbridge Wells (23 June 2014)
The score of 9 for overall was due to some bad weather. this did not spoil the holiday but nothing is totally perfect. Jack from Kelty (22 June 2014)
Weather excellent, very relaxing days touring local towns and using the on site pool. Stephen from Birmingham (20 June 2014)
An excellent week was had by all - we were brilliantly looked after by all of the eurocamp team and we're made to feel well at home. Ed from Darlington (08 June 2014)
A good site, which we wish we had gone to earlier in year when weather was nicer Richard (14 September 2013)
A great parc by the beach but some services start to close down towards the end of season. The noise from entertainment was quite loud and started a bit later and went on longer than we expected. Overall very good. Confirmed Holidaymaker (14 September 2013)
Appeared to be an older site. Facilities were as described and of a good standard Kathryn from Newport (14 September 2013)
Really good holiday, lovely site, very scenic and interesting area. Linda from Tiverton (08 September 2013)
First time we have done a keycamp type holiday and we really enjoyed it, our daughter loved it. Everything was very straight forward and the accommodation was nice and clean when we arrived. Jackie from Chester (02 September 2013)
Cala gogo was an excellent site on the whole with very good facilities. There were only a couple of small negatives. The position of our accommodation was very close to the bar, restaurant and night time entertainment which while being handy and close to the shops etc meant it was very loud in the evening. . the night time entertainment is only aimed at the french, despite there being lots of british and german people there was no attempt to include either in the entertainment which was annoying when it came to movie quizzes, competitions etc. . the pool complex was fantastic but i'm really not sure why they bothered with life guards as all they did all day was play on their phones and chat to each other, at times the pool was down right dangerous as teenagers were jumping in on top of small children running around pushing each other in etc. All the time the life guards ignored this. . these are minor gripes though as on the whole it was a very nice site and we had a great time, the people in the shops, take away and reception were really friendly and there was none of the anti british i've read about in other reviews. Paul from Bristol (31 August 2013)
All in all this was a great place for a holiday in the south of france for the family. Simon from Poole (31 August 2013)
Very good, mobile home in excellent condition, camp has great swimming pools and very good on site restaurants. Michael from Jersey (27 August 2013)
Wonderful and relaxing Martin from Jersey (27 August 2013)
A bad start for us as we had a bike stolen (we got it back at the end). but the mobile home was very well equipped and clean and the park was the same. Better for younger children though and the beach was not brilliant (dusty sand and pebbles). Joanne from Kings Langley (15 August 2013)
Weather too hot !!! normally arrive in area end of june Lionel from Chesterfield (14 August 2013)
We had a lovely holiday. Tracey from Essex (11 August 2013)
The parc staff we so helpful and welcoming. There was a lovely relaxed atmosphere, with a variety of ages all around. Sarah (04 August 2013)
We had an excellent time in cala gogo. Darren and chelsee were fab and incredible helpful. The restaurants on the site though a little expensive were brilliant, amazing food. Grilled mussels are a must. Great evening entertainment and not to loud if you chose to sit outside your caravan. . great fishing village south of the resort in collioure is a definite visit. Our kids (10&13) had a great time and being so close to the beach was a real bonus. Sea can be a little rough and sore on the feet as sand stops at the shore line. Great laugh though and lovely temperature. Over all, a fantastic resort. Ray from Stoke On Trent (03 August 2013)
A really great parc, right on the beach, fabulous weather, clean and safe and friendly, but the pool was too busy. Sally from Todmorden (03 August 2013)
Great weather, great location Alexander from Northumberland (31 Jul 2013)
Lovely place, dog friendly and access to beach essential to us. . would like air con in mobile home. Loved it. Customer 65 from London (31 Jul 2013)
Parc facilities were very good. Beach was a disapointment as I did not consider it safe for the boys. I feel that this should be noted somewhere. Kevin from Hove (30 Jul 2013)
Brilliant holiday on a really lovely site. Les from Blyth, Northumberland (29 Jul 2013)
Great location, park facilities excellent. Keycamp couriers friendly and helpful. We got just what we expect from a keycamp holiday. Customer 68 from Doncaster (29 Jul 2013)
Courriers were very friendly and helpful. However the french reception was very rude, felt ill when I arrived but was made to get out of the car to have a wrist band put on instead of giving it to my wife to give to me - ridiculous. Electricity failed one evening, they didn't seem to care. Cd player was broken, no effort made to replace. Instead got sarcastic comments directed when exiting the reception area "have a joyful holiday". Andy from Cambridge Uk (28 Jul 2013)
A really good family holiday, options of beach and or pool during the day while at night chilling on the decking or driving to nearby argeles or the fantatstic colliure. Adrian from Birmingham (27 Jul 2013)
Cala gogo, st cyprien is a great place to stay and although it's a long drive the effort is worth it. Darren and chelsea are really helpful and regularly checked we were happy with everything and gave us information on local things to see and do. . the pool is really nice with choices for everyone except it doesn't have waterslides, but we can live without them. The entertainment was a little samey, but kept us amused. The one thing cala gogo is missing is childrens clubs. They had a couple of things during our two weeks, but everything was in french and very french orientated so it meant our two couldn't understand or relate to it, as they didn't know the theme behind it. Perhaps a more international feel to it would be better, but i'm just being fussy. . overall, this was a great holiday and we would definitely return. The site is clean, a mix of lively and quiet and lots of children making new friends irrespective of any language barriers. Colin from Downham Market (27 Jul 2013)
A fabulous park, couriers and holiday! Mark from Belfast (26 Jul 2013)
We had a great holiday. Parc has been spoilt by squeezing more vans on site so they are too close together. The reps were very friendly. The text idea is very good knowing you can get in touch any time. Sara from Hinckley, Leics (25 Jul 2013)
Entertainment all in french other parks have people who go through in english and the price of drinks 5.50euro for a large beer Customer 74 (17 Jul 2013)
Beautiful site, right on the beach but need wet shoes to get into sea as a bit sore on feet. restaurant, bar, pools excellent! about a 40 minute walk to st cyprien port! shower facilities on site lovely. campsite staff very pleasant and helpful. overall fab place Gayle from Glasgow (12 Jul 2013)
Very well equipped site with easy access to all facilities Martin from York (09 Jul 2013)
Lovely holiday pools lovely and clean entertainment all spoken in french so quite poor as we could not join in and bars way to dear John from Essex (30 Jun 2013)
Enjoyed the holiday but the weather could have been better! Jack from Kelty (15 Jun 2013)
Fantastic, enjoyed by all the family. Emma from Kent (13 Jun 2013)
Very clean accommodation. Lovely camp site. Pool was especially nice with lots of loungers available and non slip tiles. Childrens outdoor games area was brilliant my kids loved it. The direct access beach was full of sticks and not that great to spend a lot of time on, but argeles beach nearby was lovely. Would throughly reccommend. Claire from Lincolnshire (08 Jun 2013)
Great location and park. Shame about the weather, but enough to do if the weather isn't conducive to laying on the beach/by the pool Simon from Milton Keynes (27 May 2013)
St. Cyprien unfortunately suffers from prolonged wind patterns. Which can be uncomfortable for some pool. In all for th time of year and price we had a great holiday. Robert from Spalding (25 May 2013)
